"When your greed beckons you to lose your own soul to a vessel of twisted madness... you best hope those that have come to your aid will liberate what remains of your sanity."
Song: C-R-O-W-N-E-D (Remastered)
As much as I would've wanted to draw Marx Soul for the 457th time, I've never actually drawn Magolor Soul before! Clearly that has changed- rambles below the cut:
As a huge fan of Kirby ever since childhood (much like Pokemon and other series), this boss ended up hitting harder when the switch remaster dropped to be honest. Without spoiling anything, let's just say the True Arena and Traveler in Another Dimension made me very close to crying over Magolor. Heck, even listening to the boss theme has me almost a little emotional- I'm not afraid to admit that.
The lore of the Master Crown is beyond insane to me too- literally corrupting the user so much they almost take a mental backseat until they are completely eradicated from the original body on top of it. I mean, that almost goes for all soul forms in some capacity, but WOW Magolor's just hits different.

Headcanons for certain Magoland masks
Tumblr media
I'm aware that Merry Magoland is not 100% canon, but screw it. I implement it and its masks into my headcanon universe anyways.
... And at that point, it begs the question as to how Magolor knew about certain people to be capable of making masks out of them.
Of course, one could easily interpret Magolor just traveling across dimensions and through the timeline to find out himself, but I prefer to go with a more fun route for my interpretation instead.
I'm more than glad to share my headcanons for certain masks:
-The blue, green and yellow Kirbies were literally just Magolor giving more color palettes for Kirby because he thinks Kirby is very special and decided to give him utmost privileges. Lol.
-How did Magolor find out about Nightmare? Here's how: King Dedede has a photo of Nightmare somewhere in his castle. It's there to spread awareness to one of Popstar's earliest threats, and it's also there for the waddle dees in the castle to make fun of. Magolor encountered the photo when he came by Dedede's castle one time.
-"Gray Coo" was the result of Magolor trying to create a fake love interest for Coo to go along with Rick's and Kine's love interests. Magolor was originally going to call it "Poo" until the waddle dee staffers for the park turned that down and instead suggested it to be named "Gray Coo" or else they wouldn't put it up, which Magolor reluctantly agreed. Coo felt embarrassed and awkward when he saw the mask and was told about its purpose, while the rest of the animal friends laughed their butts off as they think that the mask is hilarious.
-How did Magolor find out about Dark Matter to make masks for Dark Matter Swordsman and Zero? Dedede and the animal friends told him about it. When Magolor first met Gooey and learned his origins, he was fascinated to learn more about Dark Matter, so those guys told him more. Dedede has a photo of DMS in the castle, while saying that Zero was super easy to remember the appearance of.
-My headcanon universe disregards a lot of True Arena content from many games, so this means that the Marx Soul stuff does not exist in my headcanons. I interpret that the Marx Soul mask came 100% out of Magolor's own twisted mind. His own invention. He thought of making an alt mask for his buddy Marx and decided to make a more menacing version of him. Marx was ecstatic when he saw the mask.
-Magolor didn't physically encounter a clockwork star himself, but Marx and Susie were able to walk him through about what they look like, allowing him to piece together the appearance of Nova to make a mask for it.
-The alternate Ribbon mask (friend's hairstyle) was a recent hairstyle that Adeleine gave Ribbon. Magolor was interested in giving Ribbon a second mask, and so she and Adeleine told him about the alternate hairstyle to make a mask for.
-The alternate DMK design (dark mirror) was not actually something that Magolor learned about, but made on his own. He didn't plan to make a secondary DMK mask (because they're not friends) until he noticed all the other star allies had secondary masks, so he figured he'd do the same for DMK, albeit just a lazy color hue change. He sometimes look at both DMK masks to laugh at their edginess.
-How did Magolor find out about Drawcia? Drawcia is known amongst Vividria individuals across Popstar. A Vividria slipped out information about Drawcia and depicted her in a painting to show to Magolor, giving him the opportunity to make a mask of her.
-Dark Daroach and Dark Nebula were things that Daroach told Magolor about. When Daroach first came to Magoland to see the masks, he thought it was both hilarious and ironic for the masks to exist. He pointed out that he didn't see a mask depicting Magolor being possessed by a cursed artifact (there's the master crown mask, but that's the phase where he hadn't been possessed yet).
-How did Magolor know about Galacta Knight? Hyness told him.
-Magolor was trying to fill up some slots with alt color swaps, explaining the "EX" masks for Whispy Woods, Mr. Dooter, Fatty Puffer, Goriath, Grand Doomer, Metal General, Landia and Traitor Magolor.
-How in the heck did Magolor find out about Sectonia, and not just that, but her original Joronia form as well? Taranza has photos and paintings of her all over the Royal Road castle. That's how Magolor found out. He decided to make the masks to honor the memory of Joronia/Sectonia and he'd figure Taranza would be grateful to the masks. Uhhh.... he eventually did, but initially he had an outrage because Magolor did it without permission. It's fine now, though.
-Magolor saw the Robobot Armor turned pink one time. It was during one time when he and Kirby simultaneously visited Susie in her home planet that contains the HWC headquarters. Magolor wanted to see Kirby ride around in Invader Armors, so Susie let that happen for him to see. That's how he knew to make a Robobot Armor mask.
-Susie's weekend outfit is, indeed, an outfit that she likes to wear on the weekends. Magolor was physically seen her wearing it, giving him the idea to make a mask for it.
-Susie has photos of her dad in the company's headquarters. Magolor briefly had a weird fixation on Haltmann by virtue of being a fellow egg-shaped money liker, just like he is. This made it a no brainer that he was going to make a Haltmann mask for the park.
Susie was initially not happy to see the weekend outfit and Haltmann masks because Magolor made them both without permission. She was getting close to threatening to sue him until he apologized and said he did it for honorable and celebrative purposes. Eventually, Susie relented and became perfectly fine with the masks existing, but she really wishes that Magolor had asked for permission first.
-Morpho Knight is very elusive in my headcanons, so how did Magolor find out about him? He found out through Elfilin and Leon. They remembered what he looks like and were glad to tell Magolor when he expressed wanting to know.
-I'll make it clear that while I headcanon the games mostly happening by order, Merry Magoland opens after Forgotten Land's events for me. This explains how Magolor knew about New World inhabitants such as Elfilin, awoofies, Carol and Leon to make masks of them. He also watched Kirby perform his mouthful mode stuff when he visited the New World, giving him the chance to make a mask of that too.
-Wait... Forgo Dedede is among the New World masks. How did Magolor find out about that when Dedede is back to normal now? Elfilin told him about the incident. He vividly remembers what Dedede looked like when Fecto Forgo further possessed him.
-----
Ok... that's all of the more questionable masks covered in my headcanons! Thanks for reading if you made it through all of this.

I just came up with a crack Kirby au idea (again)
So like, you know about Soul bosses right? Well, what if those characters who have those forms, were revived in those forms after the events of their game?
Tumblr media
(Also The True Arena and to a extent, the Soul boss battles do not happen, they just woke up in the Soul form)
And now they got to adjust to normal life while dealing with their monstrous form.nearly uncontrollable power and most of all *gasp* THEIR TRAUMA
Though that does bring up the question, why were they revived as souls in the first place?
(If you are interested in this Au,read below the cut for more info and feel free to ask questions in the comments, reblogs or ask box <3)
-Drawcia is the only one who actually is fought in her soul form (besides maybe Elfilis?) anyways, she has gone through a redemption arc and now is pals with Kirby! (In fact, all of the Soul bosses are buddies with Kirby!) she is still very snobby though
-Marx adjusted quickly and is just as chaotic as ever, though,he does have gears inside his body now and sometimes he just- splits in half for no reason but he just shrugs it off
-Magolor still goes through his Epilogue, just in a more monstrous form, after he got his power back and landed in the Kirby Clash dimension, for some reason,he can’t return to His dimension (because plot lol) so now,he creates his Shopkeeper Magolor persona using magic and hopes that nobody would see his true form,(it doesn’t help that he has the most unstable power out of the soul bosses)
-It took a while, but Sectonia is adjusting pretty okay despite just being a head and four wings, she needed lots of therapy and stuff but now she accepts who she is and now is pretty good friends with Taranza again! But she declined on being the Queen again and she is basically a different person from Joronia (Also I imagine her being like Rarity from MLP)
-Star Dream is now just a split heart and acts like Clippy/Bonzi Buddy now lol (because this is still a crack au) but they do still have a small piece of Haltmann soul in there so maybe……
-I can’t think of anything for Void Termina for some reason :(
-Elfilin (and Forgo) story on how they became that way is complicated but just you know that Elfilin is trying to deal with his chaotic power and negative emotions (not to mention the animal blood orbs) and Forgo is tamed but not exactly reformed (and also they are basically the main protagonist of this Au)

Finally finished Return to Dreamland DX and the visuals are so amazing. The background for fighting Magolor? It so pretty like I was so stunned on how vibrant it is while fighting him. This is so pretty wtf!!
Tumblr media
Also Nutty Noon,
Tumblr media
There are stars in the clouds!! I wish they did that more often in night cloudy levels for future Kirby games. Maybe they did it in Star Allies but to be honest I forgot everything about that game. I'll have to replay it one day (I have no choice, I deleted the save data for space to download Splatoon 2).
I'm kind of disappointed still that Extra is just regular story mode but harder, but I know it's been like this for every Kirby game before the Switch so whatever, it's just kind of a slog to get through again but I will do it for the True Arena and 100%.
Also there are like. A couple fucked up Saw contraptions in a couple of levels (I never watched Saw) it's kind of funny

🎮, 🗣, and ❤️ for whoever!! :D
Tumblr media
Second ask by: @nightcovefox
🎮: What Kirby game or what point in the Kirby series timeline would your OC first appear?
★ i hope i'm interpreting this correctly...
Fal's story begins just after the defeat of Fecto Elfilis, at the end of Forgotten Land and after completing the True Arena... He has nothing to do with the main games or the anime...
🗣️: If you could cast a voice actor to voice your OC who would you choose?
★ Something funny is that Fal and Snow already have voice actors!
In the Raising Project anime adaptation, the voice of Snow White is made by Nao Tōyama... Or so the character's wiki says, because the actress's wiki does not mention her participation…
On the other hand, although Fal hasn't made an appearance in the anime, there is a character identical to him called Fav, the voice is made by Kurumi Mamiya
Fun fact: Kurumi Mamiya is the voice of Elfilin in Forgotten Land :D
Tumblr media
❤️: What is your OC’s love language (Words of affirmation, Quality time, Physical touch, Receiving gifts, or Acts of service)?
★ Uhm… Acts of service and words of affirmation, i think…!
Fal is devoted to anyone he trusts, so rest assured that he will help and accompany if necessary, offering information or comfort with words. Snow is more reserved, but her actions speak louder than words
💎: Does your OC like to collect anything?
★ Mementos
Many of these objects are memories of different experiences, or rather, different people with whom the two interacted. You could say that they are attached to the belongings of the deceased... Fal also has other things that he “borrows” from Magolor, such as the Gem Apples
🤫: Does your Oc have any secrets?
Yes, but just like three secrets. Next question
🥺: What is your Oc’s biggest regret?
★ With Snow i would say that not protecting her friends... She has lost too many allies, many of them really close friends. In the Beginning of the end, we can see her extremely protective towards Wolfbell because:
1- Wolfbell reminds her to her powerless self when she was still alive
2- She doesn't want to make the same mistakes. She's already dead, so she can risk without worrying for her own life
Fal… The death of a certain person, and of course the death of Snow herself. This person... Basically, she was someone that Fal involved without knowing what was really happening and who ended up perishing despite having nothing to do with the matter. A victim he condemned by mistake
i hope i answered these correctly... Thank you so much for the asks!!!

i've seen a few people do AUs where sectonia gets resurrected, even less have some kind of idea for a Sectonia Epilogue (my pitch for one coming soon), but i've only ever seen exactly one idea like this but for haltmann being alive and even that was in the most technical of senses, and exactly one for robobot of a haltmann epilogue where he goes to another dimension after star dream was blown up because of the whole afterlife theory, and that wasn't elaborated on since it was just a hypothetical design for him
and it mde me want to think of my own take on a robobot epilogue-style mode because i just had no clue how haltmann in another dimension could be interesting lol no offense to the person who made that, and i already did all the legwork for a sectonia epilogue (again, coming soon) so like maybe i could at least work an outline out here too even though i'm way more invested in taranza & sectonia lol, i tried to come up with a premise that could reasonably be what HAL would actually do at least in the abstract there so i wanted something for this as well
my initial idea was actually a Susie Prologue, where a young susie explores another dimension when she was initially raptured by star dream, maybe encountering one of the parallel susies or even becoming one temporarily? but i couldn't come up with any actual plotline beyond that or even how that'd play
but rn i'm replaying forgotten land with my brother and we got to forgo dreams, and it got me thinking, this establishes souls can be shattered and then rebuilt, i saw someone postulate that haltmann's memories were added to star dream's database as they were sapped and that's the real reason susie wanted that database, so what if you could do that here and that's the fruit fragment equivalent
and there was this entire weird train of thought me & The Friend I Mention In All Of My Kirby Posts™️ went on that started out unrelated but led to us thinking about the virtual reality from the last levels of robobot, which the true arena seems to take place in due to the wireframe backgrounds being used towards the end and it being called a simulation, and i had already caught that in meta knightmare returns galacta knight is freed when summoned but resealed and thrown into a wormhole when beat, then in the true arena he's sealed when summoned then just flies off when defeated, so it does seem to be like a genuine location not some bizarre hologram so there's my setting
so maybe a Planet Robobot 2.0 would have Susie Epilogue and it'd be her accessing the virtual reality again via star dream's remains (that helmet from the cutscene?) and hunting down any data from haltmann that may have been left behind (i know it's said his soul was deleted, but that's just in Soul OS' pause screens and every soul boss of the Wave 3 trilogy is presented as a soulless husk, it's actually really weird, but point is with regular star dream it's only said that it fused with his soul not deleted it or got rid of it), instead of trying to come back to life like magolor she's trying to bring her dad back to life
and like with magolor epilogue susie already has a moveset they could recycle basically one-to-one lol

Found a name, he shall be called MC, and whenever he writes it down he puts MMC (Yes there is a reason outside of it's funny)
Uh anyways, for info about this dude, his whole concept was "Okay so what if there was a traveler Magolor, like the one I already made, but evil, and will actually give Traveler a purpose to exist" so yeah-
He is a product of still having the Master Crown be apart of him despite Kirby "freeing" him (Aka kinda in the middle of cannon and True Arena ig)
His main goal is to entertain himself mainly, and a secondary goal being becoming the ruler of every world. Which ends up causing him to be incredibly manipulative and cold.
With his appearance, he realized that he is able to use it to manipulate most of the difference Magolor's as well as some others (Marx, Taranza, Susie, etc) into doing what he wants. Which can lead to some not great things to happen
However when it comes to the traveler's of the Magoverse, as well as the creators and audience, his goal is instead to make them hate him as much as possible because he finds it funny. Which includes, making them uncomfortable, finding ways to offend them, etc. They are very much a Manipulative and an overall piece of crap. But also weirdly mischievous.
Now for facts
- He uses any pronouns and is unlabeled
- He quite literally cannot feel love and despair
- It is unknown if it is the Master Crown, Magolor, or both
- He will actively insult the travelers of the Magoverse because it's funny
- He can make himself look more humanoid, however it is to less of an extent as Traveler (Traveler Magolor info here)
- He hates Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandee, mainly because a small part of him does hate what he became.
- Any 'good' character that is around him will...notice something that will instantly make them not trust him. Basically, it could be a good master crown character or a Magolor that has a part of the master crown apart of him. Yeah they might just...hear something that is rather disturbing. They will know something others don't.
I'll add More facts when I see them as relevant
Anyways here's an extra thing with Traveler and this mf
Tumblr media
Yes Traveler is in fact giving him the middle finger

Does Kirby's extended cast get underutilized?
This i something I heard a lot of Kirby fans bring up in recent years. That despite big cast of memorable characters, Kirby tends to shove them to the side in favor of introducing new ones and putting the older ones on the back burner never to be used again. But just how true this is?
Warning, rather big post ahead!
Let's take a look at almost all modern Kirby games (including spin-offs) and summarize how each of them treated the extended cast.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land - re-established King Dedede and Meta Knight as the part of the "main four" of the franchise, introduced Bandana Waddle Dee into the main cast after his role in Super Star Ultra. Introduced Magolor. Referenced Wham Bam Rock, Dragoon from Air Ride and Marx via stone transformations. Galacta Knight returns from Super Star Ultra as a surprise boss in the True Arena.
Kirby's Dream Collection: New Challenge Stages (yes, i'm going to count it, since Kumazaki confirmed that Magolor moved to Dream Land when he reformed and this is so far the only game to actually show it), - but, yeah, we see Magolor again in a fairly major role, the first time he appears as a good guy with a bit of a trickster streak to him, suggested that he stayed in Dream Land after he gifted Kirby and co a theme park.
Kirby Triple Deluxe - cameos of a lot of characters from sprite-based games via keychains (of note, Magolor and Yin Yarn got special keychains with exclusive 8-bit sprite artwork), animal trio from Dream Land 2 appear as stage hazards in Kirby Fighters, Shadow Kirby appears as the final boss of Kirby Fighters, Magolor cameos as a painting in the haunted mansion level of the Wild World, the dimensional mirror and Dark Meta Knight return after the long absence. Introduced people of the sky, Taranza and Queen Sectonia.
Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe - Taranza is featured as one of Dedede's friends and supporters on the trophies and on the title screen. It was confirmed that the game itself is set in a theme park Magolor created for Dedede, Magolor himself appears in the final, most difficult, stage.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - Bandana Dee is reinforced as Kirby's true P2 character, Drawcia is referenced and got a special collectible in a figurine, being one of the few spin-off characters to appear more than once alongside Yin-Yarn. Animal buddies are referenced in Kirby transformation sequences. Pon and Con get a cameo in Elline's diary as comedy show hosts.
Kirby Planet Robobot - Oh boy. This one. Well, we of course have a LOT of returning bosses from the past games, such as clones of Dark Matter and Queen Sectonia (giving us a glimpse as her original body before she transformed, adding a major lore revelation past her introduction), people of the sky and floralia are mentioned on numerous occasions in the pause screen descriptions, quite a few characters got brand new artwork via stickers (such as daroach, magolor and taranza). And the last but certainly not least, we have Star Dream which is one of the clockwork stars like Galactic Nova. While not exact same as Nova, it's meant to be of the same species as Nova and the reveal banks on you knowing that, so it's one of the most direct continuity nods in the franchise.
Team Kirby Clash Deluxe - this game features, although AU versions, but still, of Susie and Taranza, and, unknowingly at the time, the same Magolor we already know and love in a different role entirely. Although it's technically different versions of the characters, I still count it, because it's still new game and new story that uses familiar faces.
Kirby Star Allies - i will die if i try to list everything this game has. but let's just say pretty much every mainline kirby game (and a lot of spin-offs) were referenced in some capacity, and 90% of major characters of all mainline kirby games are accounted for and PLAYABLE in this one.
Super Kirby Clash - Magolor is once again is the shopkeeper, AU Taranza and Susie have major roles once again, au version of NIGHTMARE of all characters is the main villain, technically making him the first antagonist since Dark Matter to appear in more than one game, King D-Mind returns by the virtue of this game being a sequel to the original Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, Galacta Knight re-appears as Aeon Hero, hinting at his origins.
Kirby Fighters 2 - Magolor and Gooey are playable characters, implied to be a part of Kirby's inner friend circle on the level of Bandana Dee, Meta Knight and King Dedede. The first spin-off to include playable characters outside of the primary main cast. Several newer characters such as Flamberge were referenced via unlockable costumes, as well as appearing (alongside her sisters) as stage hazards on the Jambastion stage.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land - this is perhaps the first Kirby game on this list where I can't say they concerned themselves with referencing the past much. But that's kind of the point, Shinya Kumazaki described Star Allies and Forgotten Land as "sister games" and in this sense, you can say that SA got all the unsubtle continuity and references, while FL is definite step towards new original direction. However, it's still got a lot of subtle connections AND UNEXPECTED canonization of Morpho Knight. A character that was literally introduced a GAME AGO. It's also been heavily alluded that the civilization formerly inhabiting the New World is heavily related to the (eventually) Halcandran ancients, giving us a genuine glimpse at their culture. Even then, this game is the exception that proves the point. Lack of references and fanservice, or major character comebacks is this game's specific weird factor, not the rule.
Kirby's Dream Buffet - this is similar to Star Allies where there's a LOT of references to past games. You can pretty much dress up Kirby as almost every character in the series, including the likes of the Mage Sisters and newly introduced Elfilin from Forgotten Land.
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe - Merry Magoland introduces masks which not only make it so all of the dream friends and helpers from Star Allies cameo in this game, as well as new characters from the Forgotten Land, they also make it so this isn't exclusive to purely playable characters. Giving us masks of Hyness, Queen Sectonia and Leongar. Magolor Epilogue is one huge mode focused on Magolor specifically, the first time such luxury been given to someone outside of the primary main cast. Said mode also references and alludes to a lot of games (including Dream Collection), as well as tying it towards Kirby Clash games in another unexpected continuity moment.
As you can see, not a lot of these roles are major, but it's not the main point I'm trying to come across. HAL remembers about these characters and definitely knows that fans love them and want more of them. It's simply the matter of building up the series from ground up after what essentially amounted to big hiatus in the 00s. Returning characters in another mainline game just right after they were introduced would be a tacky move that would be way too safe and complacent. Building up the cast was the right move and they are slowly but surely started embracing it more and more over time. Forgotten Land is distinctly only game in this list that mostly avoided direct returns and callbacks and it still got Morpho Knight.

Please tell me things about the Orb Fables Leif and Zommoth Situation. Is it exactly like the Fecto Elfilis Situation, or are there differences?
it's basically the same situation of "alien creature gets so tormented by Science that it splits into two creatures" but with the difference being like. Which parts got separated. instead of the fecto situation where the tiny compassionate part got ejected from the rest of the being it's more like the logical thought part and the pure emotion/instinct part got separated. the mind and the heart, if you will
since there's More of leif than there is of elfilin they're also more powerful, keeping some of the dimensional rift abilities (roughly comparable to magolor in star allies) at the cost of having a very limited emotional range. likewise, zommoth's psychic abilities aren't quite as strong as fecto forgo, and their ability to plan and Make Good Decisions is tanked
at the end of the leif's request plotline when zommoth is defeated they kind of fuse back together but in the katfl-true-arena-ending way and not the final-boss-sequence way, so they don't just become the old version of themselves again. most of what leif gets out of this is the closure of remembering what happened to them in the past and the ability to actually feel the catharsis from this
bonus drawing of the weird alien rodent siblings that was drawn while we were thinking about this:

Kirby AU where there are TWO Star Dreams in the event of Planet Robobot (kinda)
You see, in this AU, sometimes before the events of Planet Robobot (though maybe after Susie comes back from Another Dimension), during a test, Star Dream pulls out a peculiar being from Another Dimension…
It was RTDLDX True Arena Magolor Soul! (Though ofc Haltmann and the other employees had no way of knowing what the frick a Magolor was), Magolor Soul was very much in pain and doesn’t even notice it is now in another timeline/dimension
So Haltmann saw this poor creature and was like “Let’s mechanize him” and so Star Dream did!
And due to the amount of power Magolor Soul had, it was basically Star Dream the sequel (except it couldn’t grant wishes and stuff so HWC still used the regular Star Dream) that makes sense right? Right?
Honestly, I made this on a whim because I thought concept art Star Dream looked cool and it would be fun seeing Kirby take down both Star Dream and it’s Zero like twin

A question for Kirby of the Stars fans
How did Marx come back? Or rather, how is Marx supposed to have come back?
At the end of Milky Way Wishes in Kirby Super Star, Marx is defeated by Kirby and dies upon crashing into Galactic Nova (then he gets resurrected as a Soul boss in The True Arena of Super Star Ultra, but Kirby kills him again anyway). Years later, he comes back as a Dream Friend in Star Allies [*]. What even happened in that interim of 10 years (22 years if we count from Super Star, the original version)? How did he become good (or at least "not evil")?
This question was also pending an answer in Magolor's case. However, with the release of Kirby's Return to DreamLand Deluxe, the Magolor Epilogue (along with what's implied by Merry Magoland, an old interview with Shinya Kumazaki regarding Magolor in the Team Kirby Clash series, and some dialogue line in the Extra Mode of Return to DreamLand) finally revealed what happened to him after his defeat against Kirby & co. For other villains-turned-friends, that question kind of already got answered in the games where each of those characters debuted: both Taranza and Susie eventually helped Kirby defeat Sectonia and Star Dream respectively, and Triple Deluxe ended with Taranza pretty much reconciled with Kirby (while mourning the loss of his old friend), whereas Susie simply flew out of planet PopStar on the final cutscene of Planet Robobot and apparently kept on doing her own thing (according to some Japanese pause screens of Star Allies, the Haltmann Works Company under her direction was still forcefully mechanizing other planets just like before the events of Planet Robobot, so she didn't really become good and there's merely a "truce" of sorts between her and Kirby & co. [EDIT: I got it wrong; what I just said about Susie is from the English localization of Star Allies, whereas the Japanese version gives her the ostensibly nobler, more benevolent goal of "bringing happiness to families through the power of science"]).
[*: I heard that, among Magolor's additional dialogue lines in the Extra Mode of Return to DreamLand, there's one line where he says he had found someone who told him about Kirby before this game's events, with the implication that it was Marx, and there's also some confirmation of this later on; I'm trying to look that up right now]
What do you guys imagine that happened to Marx after Milky Way Wishes? What do you think led him to become one of Kirby's friends in Star Allies?
--------------------------------------------------
[More thoughts on a related topic under the "Read more" cut]
--------------------------------------------------
I wonder if there'll be a re-release of Super Star Ultra (or a re-re-release of the original Super Star, in any case) where Marx also gets his own "Marx Epilogue" someday. Shinya Kumazaki, the one currently in charge of everything related to Kirby of the Stars, is also the one who led the development of Super Star Ultra, where he came up with so much of what defines his era of this franchise. I doubt Kumazaki would want this Nintendo DS title to remain on "Dual Screen Hell" for eternity, while players have to either resort to emulation or settle for the old Super Nintendo version of Super Star repeatedly re-released on every new Nintendo console with no changes and no additional material.
So, while it's very likely there's already an entirely new mainline game currently in a very early stage of development, I'm pretty sure there are some plans for remaking an old mainline title at some point as well. If that's true, then I'm gonna bet Kumazaki's next remake project will be a Super Star Ultra remake: lots of people are already asking for some kind of home console re-releases of the DS and 3DS titles, which will require adapting them so they don't require dual screens or a touch screen whatsoever; however, it feels a bit too early yet for a full-on remake of any of the 3DS titles (Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot being the mainline ones) and it'd be pretty difficult to add new stuff to them, so the only option left is to give the "Deluxe treatment" to Super Star Ultra, a DS title that works pretty well as an introduction for new players (it starts with Spring Breeze, which is literally the very first game of the entire series) and where you can also find a way to add a little bit of new content. Knowing Kumazaki, he'll add new content by doing the same thing he did in Return to DreamLand Deluxe by inserting a "Marx Epilogue" game mode, which would be unlocked after doing something equivalent to beating the Story Mode at 100% in Return to DreamLand, such as... I dunno... beating Milky Way Wishes with all 19 Copy Essences Deluxe -including the secret one- collected and beating at 100% every other game mode required to unlock Milky Way Wishes (that is, completing everything from the original Super Star except The Arena).
Anyway... until that happens, I guess we'll just have to keep "fan-theorizing".

Hi! Hi! Thank you for submitting about Peony! I’d like to submit
🪐💫🥀
For any of your OCs you’d like! Or both! I’m interested in learning bout them!
Ask link:
Ohhh thank you thank you for the ask! 🪐 was already asked but I’m happy to do:
💫 -
Dazor: First instinct would probably be to wish to go home. However, on second thought, he did grow up on stories of the Ancients' artifacts, some of which end... less than happily, which may be enough to make him second guess himself. Maybe.
Ao: They'd be tempted to wish to go back to the Ancients' heyday, before everything went to Hades in a handbasket.
Ky: They'd probably wish for the answer to their origin.
🥀 -
ohhhhhh boy do I have thoughts for Dazor :) If you'll excuse me for using these asks to ramble about backstory - the other major part of Dazor's story - beyond coming home to a world different from the one you remember, is the many ways of healing what was hurt. Did you know a seraph - an angel who’s name means burning, was also used to denote a serpent (according to Wikipedia anyways)?l I’ve been playing with the idea that Dazor uses the Dragon’s Pearl to purify various corruption across Gorandra, as its water holds purifying properties, but if he were to overuse the power to the point of melting his body and burning his soul… well… water isn’t the only element that can purify.
His Soul form would have a body similar to Ao’s, but with six wings of fire erupting from its open, melting back, plus smaller fires running from head to tail. White skin charred black, all-consuming fire spewing from a gaping jaw and weeping eyes. The logic and compassion that previously drove the purification is gone, replaced by a dying animal that lashes out at everything, deemed impure and needing destruction. At that point, it looks impossible to save the dying soul within… but I’d have thought the same thing for Magolor Soul (outside the True Arena anyways), and Magolor somehow survived that! And I am always a sucker for happy, or at least, endings that aren’t completely bad endings. (TD:LR: maybe?)
(I don’t have any Soul forms thoughts for Ao and Ky, sorry!)

Kirby Lore is great because it'll introduce something like the Master Crown, a dark artifact that distorts the desires of those who put it on. It seeps them in darkness, yes, but leaves a sliver of their original wants.
Magolor Soul's boss description, from the True Arena, reads:
Kirby… Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday…hee hee heee…I may get to toy with you again!
Such a wicked desire, and yet, and yet... even then, he only wishes to be freed. Even then, the worst he can think to do is "toy with Kirby again".
And indeed he does, because after the events of Magolor Epilogue, he opens a themepark where you can play a series of minigames.
Magolor dreamed of the ultimate power of becoming Ruler of the Master Crown. But deep down, he's just a little goofball that had loads of fun tricking Kirby and Co.
