Happy Father's Day to Max Haltmann

Planet Robobot is still my favorite Kirby game to this, with Susie and Haltmann being part of the reason why. Their backstory has driven me absolutely insane.

Not to completely leave out the other dads in the series... Happy Father's Day to Hyness as well, and I guess King Dedede for those that interpret him being a dad-like figure to the waddle dees.

But yeah this is mostly dedicated to Haltmann.

Later today, I might drop more information on my "Memories Still At A Halt" AU.

Puffe's new ref is DONEEE! Can't believe it tbh... I remember all the wips I posted before when i was still trying to figure out what to change...!

Just a lil info on her below the cut-

🔸Puffe joined Haltmann Works Company after the events of Robobot, simply looking for a job, and hopefully travel the galaxy in search of that spark to just... exist, something to strive for.

She's pretty serious, a bit of a jerk, all stemming from loneliness. She doesn't have much experience interacting with others so she may say something awkward or not know when to keep an opinion to herself.

Get to know her though and she's quite the odd yet caring friend, she will pull out the business suit to protect you! She really just needs more friends.

🔸Her job is simply Intergalactic Space-Delivery... exactly like Futurama, but her ship is absolutely massive. As part of Haltmann Works Co.'s new ambitious changes, Puffe is one of many to export and import goods from planet to planet. Say a planet has too much snow? Haltmann Works Co. will come scoop it all up! And take it to a planet that needs it!

🔸Puffe has 2-3 robot buddies accompanying her on her galactic travels. She'd only later meet Halaro after delivering a package to Castle Dedede- where he had to sign for it.

They didn't get along at first- it was only later when he ended up on her ship that Susie decided to pair them up- seeing an opportunity for Puffe to make a friend.

It would be this very decision that starts Halaro and Puffe on a wild goose chase for ancient artifacts, after the Mirror shard Halaro was carrying sends the ships radar crazy, picking up all sorts of signals!

noble haltmann, how we adore him so

Headcanon: The first interaction between Susie and Max Haltmann after the Another Dimension incident was horrific.

When Susie (or rather, Susanna) finally escaped Another Dimension and returned to her dad, the first thing she did was exclaiming "DAD! DAD! I'M HOME! I'M FINALLY HOME! I FINALLY MADE IT HOME AFTER SO LONG!" and hugging onto him upon seeing him. But then he adamantly shoved her off of him, and said "Are you insane? Why are you hugging someone that doesn't know you? I'm not your father! I have no idea who you are or why you came here!"

This caused her to break down and cry. As she was processing the fact that he forgot about her existence, she practically fell onto the floor as she sobbed. Upset and distraught, she insisted that she's his daughter, revealing her name and that she and he are related. But he didn't believe any of it. He said that he didn't remember ever having a daughter to begin with, and basically told her that she was delusional for thinking he was ever her dad. He didn't even try to comfort her as she was crying.

However, despite all of this, he didn't kick her out. He was merciful enough to let her stay with him, eventually hired her to be his secretary for the Haltmann Works Company, and made her change her name to "Susie" as he was training her for the job. He became a little bit nicer to her as he was helping her get situated.

But yeah, their first interaction post-AD incident was awful. Max traumatized Susie over the moment where he shoved her away from that hug and asked her if she was insane. It elicited an internal bitterness inside of her that led to her plan of stealing Star Dream's controller from him in an attempt to force him to look her away and answer for what he did in her absence.

That plan failed, of course, and she did take some moments to mourn his death, but there's also resentment involved. How couldn't she resent him, after their terrible first interaction after the AD incident and that none of her methods to get him to remember her worked? (which included singing The Noble Haltmann, as she wrote that song, with its purpose being to try and get him to eventually remember)

When Susie came around to start allowing herself to make friends post-Robobot, it helped her move on from Haltmann. There are now people that she likes more than her dad at this point. A lot more than him, really.

Some of her friends have done something for her that Haltmann didn't: give her hugs. The first post-AD hug that she got was from Kirby, not long after they became friends, and it caused her to break down to think that someone was willing to give her a hug after her dad rejected one from her. Kirby isn't quite her closest friend, though, as that honor goes to Taranza, with Francisca right behind him. She holds those two people dearly, and they both give her a lot of hugs that her dad should've but didn't.

Good evening Kirby fandom

Absolutely no story behind this, I kust was wondering what I could draw and thought "what if. What if Star Dream drip."

And what started off as a sketch turned into a whole ass drawing (SOMEHOW)

I’ve been workshopping the Underworld Friends AU more, and have decided the group is going to be wandering through a section of Hades based on their combined experiences in life. Which is to say... that, the first ‘world’ might be based on Cookie Country, Patched Plains, and Fine Fields combined.

But something else that’s going to be influenced by their memories and the respective games they come from is some of the enemies they’ll fight over the course of their journey. These enemies-- who will be guarding pieces of the collectibles the group is aiming to gather, will be based on the bosses of the games said characters debuted in. 

Some of these won’t be too interesting. Yeah, yeah-- whatever... fighting Whispy Woods again for the fiftieth time. But a few of the bosses from Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot, and Return to Dreamland are... peculiar.

These bosses happen to be characters that Magolor, Haltmann and Sectonia knew on a personal level. And that means the encounters with them will be much more interesting. 

A Taranza based on Sectonia’s memories of the person who got fed up with her and helped kill her... a Susie based on the traitorous secretary who Haltmann still doesn’t know the motives of... a Landia ridden by the four heroes Magolor still perceives as resenting him...

What sort of fight will they put up? And what sort of realizations will they force our characters to come to about the sort of people they are?

Either way, seems our group isn’t going to be having a fun time.
