One of the funny twst headcanons that’s been stuck in my head lately is the appetite of diasomnia and how it might differ from the humans in their lives.

We all know about Sebek’s appetite. It’s mentioned over and over again and he’s always surprised at how little MC eats. Added with the fact he’s training to be a knight.

But I also like to think that the other three eats more than the average do too.

Malleus and his constant use of magic and any training he might need to go through would need the nutrients. He is magic itself so I imagine his consumption of food especially sugar related items are high.

There’s Lilia who’s always keeping in tip top shape and training the boys. Who does push ups everyday. Who’s able to keep up with Malleus even now. Who might have had food insecurity before but doesn’t now is able to eat more.

Silver, while a human, is stupidly strong. The constant being squished mentions in book 7 clearly emphasizes that. Along with the fact that he’s also a knight in training.

So I can imagine them all having at least 3-4 plates of food on the table for each.

And then we have our very normal human Papa Zigvolt and our MC eating their meals. Maybe 1 or 2 plates at most while all the fae around them eats enough for a crowd.

I just find the idea very endearing and cute 😂💞

One thing that I'm nearly certain we'll be seeing from tgr, with the upcoming interview and the song Nora posted, is more information about Zane, specifically whatever 'contest' he and Grayson had the January before Jean left the nest.

In Ch. 11 (pg. 198 in the paperback), when it's revealed that Colleen Jenkins has killed herself, Jean tells us that "Zane hadn't been able to face her, not after what he'd done to Jean, not after what Riko made him do to Grayson." Later on, when Grayson shows up to USC campus, Jean tries to remember "what he'd looked like in January, bruised and bloodied" (Ch. 16, paperback pg. 285). My biggest oversight here is that I can't remember/find if/where it says that Riko punished Grayson for raping Jean outside of his orders, but it's not hard to imagine. Riko is not the type to forgive someone for stealing his thunder; furthermore, in his eyes, Grayson has touched something that does not belong to him (the whole wretched 'Jean is the property of the Moriyamas' thing), and is punished as such.

Especially given the wording of that first quote, it really would not surprise me if Riko ordered Zane to rape Grayson as punishment for the both of them. A violent beating just wouldn't cut it (and wouldn't deter Colleen from returning to Jean and Zane's room), not when every Raven on the court is used to exacting violent hazing upon each other, Colleen included. And actually, there's a really interesting line that seems to suggest Colleen also knew about Grayson's abuse - "In exchange for his discretion [regarding the times Jean walked in on her and Zane having sex] Colleen checked Grayson with unmitigated violence during scrimmages" (also Ch. 11, paperback pg. 198).

The only thing that throws me is that Jean calls whatever happened between Grayson and Zane a 'contest' that Zane won, not Grayson, after Grayson said he had arrived to claim his Perfect Court number (pg. 285). One possible explanation for this is that Riko decided to put a spin on the rumors that Jean had slept his way onto the starting lineup, and made Grayson and Zane compete for the number via sexual violence.

No matter the outcome, I'm very interested to see where this storyline goes. Everyone remember to say your 'fuck Zane Reacher's tonight.

i've met several people who were weirdly insistent about me watching spn or that one neil gaiman show that's trending even though I've repeatedly told them I'm not interested and they know very well I'm a Christian and it's so frustrating how willfully dense they can get. like, to you it's a fun spin on 'christian lore,' to me it's a bastardization of everything I believe in. It's a game of telephone with so many distortions it's virtually unrecognizable as 'biblical' and yet it parades itself around wearing the hollowed out shell of my faith. I'm never going to enjoy watching it, no matter how much fun the characters are/how clever the dialogue is - I'm just not interested.
