Crack ship: Ace’s brother x Cater’s (oldest) sister

#I do have a reason for this but I don’t know how to start explaining it #I guess I was thinking of the idea of the red suit siblings (Ace Riddle and Cater) then realized that you can be siblings outside of blood-#-and found family because in laws are a thing #so. yeah #cater and Ace siblings in law #I’m pretty sure that Ace’s brother works at a theme park and based on what we know of Cater’s sisters I think it’s be fun if she was a -#-costume designer for the park #also Ace’s brother is 7 years older than him placing him at about 23 and so I’m saying that Cater’s sisters are 20 and 23 #unless we have like a concrete set of years older they are to Cater or smth #twisted wonderland #twst #red suit siblings #I guess #idk #heartslafam

I finally got some official photos (taken by Laura Johnston) of the costumes I made for the haunted house! It was hard to choose my favorite pics because there were so many good ones.

Missing the ghost because the room they were in was too dark for photos 😅 I think these costumes turned out pretty well considering this was my first show, and I had a budget of $200! This was only half the cast because each character was played by two different people depending on the night, so I may post more pics later of the alternate cast :)

Idk if anyone noticed, but I realized that the witch was wearing their dress inside out. I'll take it as a compliment though, because I guess the inside was finished so well they couldn't tell 😆

the costume designers obviously meant the damane mouthpieces as a further debasement and a way of showing just how little power they have, in a manner that is especially fitting for the seanchan culture where rank/status dictates whether and to whom a person is allowed to speak. but the side effect of them looking like pacifiers for babies, which some people are complaining about? well, it's book canon that damane are infantilized and treated like pets, so if you're weirded out by seeing grown women wearing something akin to baby pacifiers, then that says the costume is doing its job.

#i think there's a lot of aspects of seanchan culture and the damane system that a reader's brain can gloss over in a written medium #but seeing it in a visual medium will really drive home just how horrific those aspects are #anyway in general they've really knocked the seanchan costume design out of the park! i can't wait to see more in later seasons #wot #wot on prime #wot book spoilers #the wheel of time
