because imagine coming back from work or something, and depending on your shift, just seeing price splayed out on your bed - naked. he's either bathing in the warm glow of your bedside lamps, lazily dozing off like an oversized cat, or either bathing in the pale light of the morning sky, quiet and softly snoring.

you just can't help but take a moment to admire him, carefully pulling back the cotton sheets to get a closer look at his body. any and all thoughts of appearing like a pervert disappear as you gaze down at his body, wondering to yourself if this is how aphrodite looks like.

his body hair is thick. it coats his chest in an array of fuzzy fur, reminding you of a bear. it travels between his pecs to his stomach, the fat there strong yet soft. it has you drooling and you're forced to swallow. it's a mixture of his natural color and silver, age catching up, and yet as beautiful as ever.

you're tempted to pull the covers down to take a look at the downstairs, eyeing the peaking tufts of his unclipped pubic hair, but think better of it when you feel price stir.

you glance up and watch his eyes flutter open, all tired and lazy, so warm, so beautiful, so tempting, it takes all your willpower to not pounce on him.

and so, you lean over, and kiss him on the forehead. you hear him grunt, his large, warm hand coming up to lay on your waist.

i’m agnostic, but

the true unknowableness of god in the original hebrew texts, the fear and the reverence.

the feeling of something indescribable walking into a church or a synagogue, seeing the patterns of the stained glass dance across the floor or feeling small beneath the high ceilings of an old catholic church, the sense that something terrifyingly ancient is here.

the hundreds of names for allah, the one god who is called many things.

the way that every known human civilization has developed some form of a god, even the ones that had no contact with each other.

the way that the structure of sight in living beings evolved multiple separate times on evolutionary paths with no interrelation.

the theorized up to sixteen dimensions. the way that a two-dimensional being can’t imagine a three-dimensional being because it can’t fathom “up”, only left and right.

the way that the fourth and fifth and sixth dimensions are right there. we just don’t know which way to look.

the way that god is everywhere and nowhere at the same time, the way that god must put himself into an understandable form when presenting himself to humans.

the way that photons act in ways completely impossible and unfathomable to humans until they are directly observed, in which case they behave under the rules of physics that we understand.

i’m agnostic, but god is real. just not in any way we can understand.
