just want to remind y'all of some kirkwall-related details that are not at all relevant for the possible events of datv:

meredith stannard is alive and kicking and is also planning a war against tevinter

red templars are in control of the gallows; it's hard to tell what's going on in the city itself, but with varric absent it might be left with no viscount again

there's an elven graveyard on sundermount where ancient elves entered uthenera; it is also possibly dedicated/related to mythal

there was also a demon contained in an idol on top of sundermount who supposedly possessed a great knowledge about arlathan and eluvians

the veil in kirkwall has always been remarkably thin and tevinter magisters were weakening it on purpose during their reign; the whole city was built as an enormous blood magic ritual site

if the veilguard squad is going to travel through the eluvians there's still one in kirkwall. the one that has been plot-relevant since dao

I got really into the theory of the apple (from that one image from the beast yeast chapter 7/8 leaks) being the fruit of knowledge. And I thought, what if Pure Vanilla takes a bite out of it? (*^▽^)/★*☆♪

So here’s an artwork where Pure Vanilla is slowly going insane after taking a bite, and all Shadow Milk can do is hold him as he succumbs to the same insanity that claimed him so long ago. Fun stuff, am I right? ((o(^∇^)o))

There are many things people expect from one called 'God of Blood'. Always, the first thought is the blood of war, the blood of violence, the blood of the weak shed for the goals of the strong. Ares doesn't think of the blood of battle at all. When he thinks of blood, he envisions the many tied knots of blood bonds and bonds forged in the blood of battle. Blood sons and blood daughters, blood brothers and battle sisters, blood oaths and blood vengeance - he watches over them all and keeps close each one of these bonds.

One cannot begrudge his displeasure then when he realises he cannot tell Leto's offspring apart just by looking at them.

It was easier when it was just Artemis. Dark hair curled about her shoulders, a fierce mien whenever Father summons her to the mountain, a scattering of bones and blood shed whenever she was disturbed; the eldest child of Leto was a wild thing, sharp toothed with sharper claws always at the ready. There's whispers of her being a twin, of her other half being made to crawl on their belly as penance for their sin of god-slaying but Ares pays it little mind. What twins look alike among their number? Even dog litters are born distinct with all their unique markings inlaid in their fur. Artemis' twin too would be much more than their sister's mirror image.

Pouring over his list now, he wishes anything about Phoebus Apollo was that simple.

Mirror image did not begin to describe it. The twins were the same height, the same build, had the same colour and texture hair, ate the same raw food and drank the same amount of nectar. There was no difference in how they dressed, no difference in the company they kept, no variance in the weapons they used. There are some days Ares still cannot believe Phoebus will grow into a man and not some nymph with the way his ears have that slender point. He watches them now, sitting together beneath a shady palm and stringing their bows in an uncanny unison and curses because he still cannot tell them apart. What use is his skill in knowing blood when they both have the same damn blood running through their veins? What bond is there to sense when they are tied so tightly together, Ares can scarcely tell brother from sister?

He sighs. Unadorned and completely alone, the only way to know who is who is to speak to them. He'll have to find more ways to tell them apart from a distance. Surely they cannot stay this similar all the rest of their immortal lives.

I love this Au so much and I love the idea of the league thinking that Alfred is the one who built/created the batfam thanks to misunderstandings.

Alfred is unimpressed with the time that Bruce has brought Dick back- and brought guests back!- on a school night.

Ramble ramble.

I doubt the show will address this because, well, this is television, but I’m very curious where the rest of Eddie’s journey will take him. Taking a moment to finally let go of things and experience, silly, frivolous joy was a huge step. It is an even bigger step if he does it more than once. (Which I think Ryan said was on the menu)

It doesn't need to be cathartic, (it can be) Eddie needs to experience more happiness. The brain learns behavior, it learns guilt, pain, depression, terror, and it can get stuck in that programming. So, allowing yourself to be silly is a step in reprogramming it.

The fact that Eddie thinks he deserves punishment and doesn’t deserve forgiveness, or joy, means he needs to return to therapy. PTSD or CPTSD (which I think Eddie has) does not just go away after a few sessions. It takes time, regular appointments, and the use of coping techniques in times of stress. Which based on the jello discussion, Eddie at least, practices for anxiety.

He also needs to reunite with his son. Contrary to what some believe, you can be a parent while seeking mental health treatment.

Three months is extreme, four, six and more months is ridiculous. Eddie hurt his son. (unintentionally) Yes. But he didn't do anytime that warrants this length of separation.

If Christopher is still not talking to his father after all of this time then nothing is getting accomplished. He needs to get his son and they need to attend family therapy together.

Running away to avoid problems seems to be Diaz trait and doesn't solve anything.

They need to talk. And the longer this goes on the worse it will get. Because I think this is more than Chris witnessing Eddie hugging a person that looks like his mother, I think is just one more trauma onto top of a mountain of trauma since moving to LA.

Ever since he and Eddie have moved, Chris has experienced: being reunited with his mother and his mother dying in the same year. Surviving a tsunami. His father shot by a sniper and almost die. Followed by his best friend getting struck by lightening.

The two of them have been to hell and back and they need to return to each other, and hopefully have an active support system which seems to have gone MIA.

I know there might be some cast limitations in play, so I'm very curious how canon will play out.
