so anyway free comic book day is a great idea because I’d never have heard about @ngoziu’s Barda without it, and the graphic novel is stellar!

Not only is it a great story with beautiful art, it’s extremely faithful to the themes of Kirby’s Fourth World, which basically never happens. It’s clearly written with love and I’m going to be thinking about it for a long time.

If you like superhero stories that feel mythical, where things are cohesive and characters feel real, or if you just want to read about a cool woman falling in love and breaking out of hell, then go to your local nerd store and get Barda.
