Bucket of Blood

Oh Walter. How far is a person willing to go for acceptance? I should say up front that horror movies are not my favorite, but this one wasn’t too bad. It’s the body horror that gets me the most and thankfully there wasn’t any of that here. Just a short hour long thriller that I mostly enjoyed.

What I Liked:

This is the first movie on the list where acting really stood out to me. I thought the guy who played Walter was fantastic. IMDB informs me his name is Dick Miller. He was great from bumbling busboy to murderer, and you really felt sorry for him until you didn’t.

I also really enjoyed the score. I thought the music throughout the movie really fit with and enhanced the tone of each scene.

What I Disliked:

The poet’s poetry.

Alice. I might have murdered her too.

Thoughts and Ponderings:

The poet guy dressed up in his suite and sandals was a trip.

I didn’t really get the point of the two drunk guys. Were they artists? Why were they hanging out in an art cafe? Did I miss whatever their medium is?

Do you think they ever find out that the cafe guy knew Walter was killing people all along?

Also I don’t know what statues those people were looking at, but Walter’s statues were terrible. Like that cat was genuinely terrible.

The premise of the movie and Dick Miller’s portrayal of Walter were enough for me to enjoy the film. It really doesn't go any deeper than that with this one.

Hello and howdy to this week's Hump Day highlight time! This company recently produced a musical that I attended the tale of, and was absolutely blown away. Now, to be honest, every time I have seen a show at this company, I have been thoroughly entertained, emotionally enthralled, and fully-satisfied in being an audience member; so, it is safe to assume that their upcoming season will only follow suit.
