“The Return of Daylight” - page 1

First Art Post of 2024! 🎉 Happy Holidays (still) lol

I had the idea for a holiday themed comic on Christmas Eve, notoriously the best time to plan ahead right? 😂 As I start finishing the pages I’ll post them here and try to update links at the bottom so you can scroll between, about 11 in total. I normally like to do one big post, but its fun to mix things up and try something new. It also gives me the added bonus of stopping to remember comics take time and enjoying the process of making them rather than rushing to the final product.

“The Return of Daylight” is a holiday I invented based on the god Lathander from DND (and of course, BG3 by extension). Known as the ‘Morning Lord’ and ‘Bringer of the Dawn’, a lot of his mythos surrounds life and vitality, birth and sunlight- and really most winter holidays are about the turn of the solstice and the hope of something new so it seemed fitting. While I imagine a ‘real Dawnbringer’ (the clerics of Lathander) might have a whole feast and party where they ‘spread Lathander’s Light’ through celebration, Klaus is trying to lighten the mood a little with some gift giving. What a saint- *badum tss* 🥁 I am forcibly removed from the stage for bad pun crimes
