it shouldn't come as a surprise, but the 'mae' family is well known throughout the community, and depending on who you ask, the opinion on them greatly varies. however, one thing is absolutely for certain-- it's a good thing not to make an enemy of them, in any shape, form, or fashion.

jasper's family is wealthy, a bit more wealthy than they know quite what to do with, even though that wealth sometimes came at the expense of other people that owed them. whether that was through payment or... by other means such as life itself.

he's the only child to the maes, not needing to try for another, nor wanting another for a fight for inheritence. they have their son to carry on the tradition and that's all that matters, and jasper has been used to be grown into a pawn most of his life, though he doesn't quite see it that way. after all, he loves his parents, and even in their own twisted way, they love him right back.

his whole family are good at finding, torturing, and keeping secrets. this makes them some of the most prestigious 'bounty hunters' around, and they make sure they keep it that way by any means necessary.

they've not been the nicest people, and even in their 'family' they haven't seen the most loving or caring. if anything, they've taught jasper to be detached and selfish, and really, he is in more ways than he should be. not quite completely sociopathic, but enough to notice that something isn't quite right.

right now, he's still in training, wrecking havoc and having small bounties to find-- maybe that'll be you.

It happened now and then, especially when he was comfy and not minding his brain so closely as he usually did, and this moment here - with a friendly acquaintance, still new in his life but welcome - was one’a them times; one’a them lackadaisical moments where Ron forgot, til the blinky flutters processed, that he didn’t think in English like his new pal Billy spoke it. Pursing his lips, he asked for a minute with a gesture and sorted through what he wanted to say. Then--

Blinky flutters met him again, his companion not so new that he’d not been warned about this sort of blip but new enough to have not witnessed it prior. Frustration bit Ron, hard.

It put Ron’s back up, no question. But helpful it was.

Huffing out a sharp breath, the publican-gangster gave up on complexity and pointed. ‘Fags’ he clipped, indicating the box on the bar top nearer to Billy than it was to Ron himself. It was passed over quickly, curious eyes and a tiny smile coming with it. As soon as sealed box hit fingers that was that.

Bonus because I misread these symbols and didn’t realize until after I made all of this up that the first one was actually…

Halter-top-like swimsuits are the way to go. Like with her normal way of dressing, she doesn’t bother trying to cover up her old burn scar nor seem especially self-conscious about it. There are also coverups to be considered as well that she also rocks.

Hella attractive outfit? You mean like every day? Being hit on by especially rude or pushy people because of how she looks is annoying, but like hell she’s going to let those people take the enjoyment she gets out of dressing in clothes she likes and looking good. 

As for traditional…eh, there’s not really…anything? sort of? Imani’s African-American so I guess we could take a look at cultural African outfits. But that varies from region to region and people group to people group and there’s no way she would have a way of knowing those specifics.

Formal outfits depend on the event but if we’re talking where she’d have to be dressed to the nines then she would wear dresses like these.
