♡ ANGEL'S SILLY HEADCANONS: FLOWERS (2/2)

we're back in the fucking building (angel forgot she never finished this). ximena's, freya's, kaito's, & briar's favorite flowers, and why. / @valpoinspo

ximena likes peonies. peonies represent prosperity, good luck, love, and honor. the flowers are quite expensive, particularly for a family of twelve, and so they were often part of ximena's birthday gifts growing up, a rare treat to have adorning her shared room. she loved the way they bloomed, how they would take up a whole vase. when xime got to her house in chile, there was a bouquet of peonies awaiting her on the counter, the most she'd ever seen. she sobbed the whole night after reading the card (what's new, miss sentimental) – her parents and grandparents had pooled money to get her this many, a "good luck" on her new endeavors, a request to continue to make them proud. she dried pressed every single one of them so they could never die.

honorable mentions: carnations, camellias, and lotuses.

freya likes yarrow. a common sight around the reservation growing up, freya used to spend endless hours counting petals with their friends (what they thought was a clever way to stay out past curfew and mess around). yarrow reminds freya of home, and endless nights laughing under a blanket of stars. since yarrow represents youthful love, rania received a small bouquet of it when freya finally asked her to be their girlfriend. very cheesy, but clearly it worked. now every bouquet rania receives (or any bouquet freya buys, actually) contains a bit of the flower; they see little piece of themselves in every bunch.

honorable mentions: hyacinths, orchids, and pincushion flowers.

kaito likes cherry blossoms. much like oliver's reasoning, they remind him of home. while he doesn't have as many bittersweet (heavy on the bitter) memories as oliver does, the yellow and white petals remind him of simpler times. walks home from school with his brothers, strolls through the park with his mother. the one weekend a year his father would be home and not look at his phone once, prioritizing his family over his work. they would sit outside and bask in the falling petals, watch the trees sway in the wind. cherry blossoms represent rebirth, new beginnings, and renewal, something kaito will know intimately quite soon.

honorable mentions: birds of paradise, spider lilies, and lily of the valley.

briar likes tulips. tulips, while having a variety of meanings, are known for representing love. to briar, they represent his mother. on the way home from school they'd often stop by the store to pick her up a bouquet with whatever money he could scrounge up at the time. it was a rare instance of a genuine, excited smile from the woman, something briar though they couldn't give her anymore. he likes yellow ones, specifically, because those were her favorite. there's a spot on his windowsill that houses a singular yellow tulip in a vase at all times. ask them and they'll just say they thought it looked nice.

Back at it again with uncannynatural!

Witch magic working a lot like angel grace. Let me explain. Angel grace is very airy,swirly and bright like a cloud. What if you could take a little bit of magic from a natural born witch? Would it hold the same properties? If you could bottle it up would it flow like a thundercloud? What if you could hear crackles of lightning as it swirls in the glass or see different light patterns of violet and inky purples when you tilt the bottle around. Or would it be thicker? Not quite like blood but like a thick oil. Same swirly electric properties just a thicker consistency. Shiny but not necessarily airy. Like the complete opposite of angel grace,like it clings to the glass and drips around like an oil spill. Just food for thought really. But that would’ve been cool to see.

ximena has nine younger siblings; the more children, the easier it was on her parents to divide up duties on the ranch. immediately ximena was expected to become somewhat of a surrogate mother to them since her parents were always busy. while she never minded, it was sort of (terribly) funny to her that the only time she got to be her own person was after her reaping.

Details

Doesn’t remember much about her biological parents, but knows she has at least four biological siblings. All of which were separated just before her fifth birthday. She can’t remember why, only that she was relieved.

Was adopted by the Salazar family at the age of five and settled in easily thanks to her new siblings.

Her new family was the complete opposite of anything she’d experienced up to that moment. They were well off, diverse, and for the most part very loving and accepting.

Ximena flourished into a high energy, high spirited young woman.

She loves music, violin and piano especially, kick boxing, old radio shows.

Ximena isn’t the jealous type and views sex as just another form of affection opposed to something sacred. That being said, she’s very picky about that affection, choosing to share a bed only with those she trusts. She is extremely affectionate and walks the border of needy on occasion. She loves to be loved and it’s not something she can help.

At the moment, she’s sharing an apartment with one of her siblings while working at a local radio station. In her spare time, she has her own podcast and dabbles in photography.

Fluff jayvik hcs because why the fuck not.

Jayce is the in-universe equivalent to Latino. This is not a headcanon I'm Chris Lane himself.

Outside of their hex work, Viktor is quite fond of biology. He appreciates learning about evolution and how many different life forms deal with the same problems but face it in different ways. He is that one bug lover in every campus. Particularly fond of butterflies. He's got a few pinned down on his wall. Jayce finds it sort of creepy but keeps quiet.

Jayce is a geology nerd. He started getting into it while searching for a mineral that could resemble the first "stone" given to him by the mage when he was about 12. This was his very first theory: the arcane is actually stored in rocks and can be extracted like gold or such. It was clearly wrong but left him with a vast knowledge of just rocks. He has a million little chips around his bedroom. He fears the day he has to move because they're all heavy as fuck when combined.

Jayce is actually really athletic. But, like, for health benefits. He does appreciate his own body and WILL flex it if given the opportunity, but it's not the main reason why he exercises/works out (yes I know the forge bla bla I'm talking when he finally becomes a scientist guys). He wants to live a long life to take care of his mom, and knows that a good physique would make that easier.

Jayce ends up annoying Viktor into agreeing to do some low-impact stretches with him when they spend more than 24 hours just sitting around in the lab. And I'm talking VERY low impact. Wrist stretches, shoulder openers, some neck looseners. He's actually really patient and caring when they do this, and Viktor has definitely fallen a little bit more in love with each muscle movement.

Expanding on that: after 48 hours of work he Will Get The Zoomies. This ends up in Viktor, sitting peacefully, counting down the pushup reps Jayce is doing. He needs to get rid of all that energy and Viktor is more than happy to help. Especially when Jayce eventually starts taking out his shirt to do his little routines.

Jayce likes psychology and general health. He is really in tune with his own emotions in the show, okay? This man is reading self help books in his spare time. A lot of time the theory doesn't actually make it to his heart but at least he understands it. Viktor finds the chemistry side of psychology interesting, but is not that interested in the rest of it. Basically psychology vs psychiatrist ig.

They're both dinosaur nerds. Jayce is a big fan of their diets/possible mating rituals while Viktor is obsessed with fossils and evolution. Jayce likes flying specimens more, while Viktor is partial to the marine ones.

Viktor's one and only loved physical activity is swimming. Takes the weight off his leg and spine for a second. One of the few "luxuries" he owns is a decently sized bathtub with all the proper accommodations to get in and out without help.

Viktor is a snake person. They're easy to care for (if you just follow the right steps), easy to transport, don't require that much physical effort, will not wreck his house while he's gone, et cetera. Of course he doesn't have a twelve feet venomous one. Probably more of a cornsnake/Rosy boa guy. Which also means that the first time Jayce visits his apartment, the man almost dies in five consecutive heart attacks.

Jayce would definitely love a golden retriever I'm sorry he truly is the living bisexual boy stereotype. Physical affection, a good excuse to go outside for a run, force him to keep a routine. I actually think he would never own one on his own because he knows his schedule is way too fucked up for a pet, but Ximena does have one to keep her company and he loves it. I can only see this man with either a cat that comes to his balcony every night or some obscure brand of bird.

Jayce is amazing at cooking, but incredibly messy and takes his sweet time with it. He had time to learn from his mom and sees cooking as an act of love that should be appreciated. Viktor is really fast and efficient, but can end up with tasteless stuff. Grew up with hastily stolen ingredients and half a bottle of kitchen oil in Zaun. Food is fuel kind of mentality.

The only person who Viktor accepts constant help from is Jayce, and this is because he knows that Jayce is Just Like That. There was one or two big fights about it at first, but, with times, he's learned that Jayce is doing this out of the wish to show love and not out of pity or concern. Jayce is well aware that Viktor can adjust his own brace and has no problem with fixing his own tie, but he loves loves loves being useful.

This evolves in Viktor trying to reciprocate the gestures. Keeping Jayce's foundation on his bag (there is no way Mr. Charisma doesn't cover his eye bags every time they need to be in public) and learning how to properly apply makeup for him. He keeps an extra pair of earphones after finding out that Jayce is actually just as easily overstimulated as him. Remembers his coffee order, straightens out his collar, refills his stapler and clip drawer.

They are PARTNERS okay? I need the little domestic signals. No big "I love you's" but daily "I got you that cinnamon latte monstrosity you call a beverage" or "You forgot them? Don't worry. I have emergency pain pills in my wallet. Yes, the ones you take. No, it's technically not stalking if you leave the receipts laying around."

They both really enjoy videogames. Viktor likes noir/detective ones and Jayce is a fan of anything that includes racing. They seldom play the same game at the same time, more often just keeping the other company while doing their own thing.

They can both sew. Pretty similar to the cooking one. Jayce learnt for pleasure, Viktor out of necessity.

Have seen the other sob silently over failed equations and burnt metals so many times that they both have perfected the routine by now. Viktor likes to be given space and Jayce needs someone to come calm him down. Which is hell, because Jayce hates leaving Viktor alone. He feels useless. And Viktor heats having to do the whole consolation thing. He feels inadequate. But that's what the other needs, so they try.

When really stressed, Jayce has been known for having psychosomatic thermal issues. Viktor has had to throw blanket after blanker over him because he will Not Move if his body gets too cold, which in return makes him panic, which makes him even colder.

Both fuckin hate winter. It always finds them with So Many Extra Sweaters in the lab. Viktor carries an extra scarf around. Just in case. Jayce's PTSD gets triggered, while Viktor's body just reacts horribly to the cold. Some days they just wrap themselves up against one another and try to guard off the cold.

Viktor has some auditory hallucinations. Very rarely. Mostly of Rio. He doesn't want to talk about it. So he doesn't. Jayce notices, but knows better than to go poke and prode at Viktor's feelings. It doesn't usually end well.

Are both amazing at chess. Have threatened to kill each other over it. Had to take out the board from the lab after the sixth consecutive tie.

(Mel is actually the only other person in the building who can easily, quickly and steadily beat them, including when they work together. Even Heimerdinger gets thrown a few curves here and there)

Jayce Can Not stand it when Viktor is disrespected, but never steps in. He knows Viktor will defend himself and will only get in the middle of it if it gets physical. The one time he tried Viktor's cane met his shins about five times in a row. It was a "small warning about limits."

Jayce avoids ordering junk food when they work for hours, for both of their health. He also doesn't want to sacrifice taste, so he buys from two/three exclusive places that can meet their nutritional + palatial needs. Viktor can, will and has eaten only pizza for about three days straight.

Had he never been... well, the man of progress, Jayce would've turned into either a bioengineer or surgeon. I have no idea on how to explain this but I need u to believe me please (I'm just a healthcare student with severe delusions)

Jayce's mom makes a big deal of his birthday. Viktor denies being jealous. It doesn't work. Next year, Ximena also makes a big deal of his special day.

Viktor is currently unaware of his exact date of birth. He picked one based on analysis and what his mother could recount but has never known the exact number

They get married and live happily ever after idc idc

Addition 1: Both are Well Aware of the law (Jayce's little sister is a cop + Viktor just like reading everything). Can both hold their own in a legal conversation. They just choose to ignore it. Have a vast knowledge of legal technicalities and use them only to bend said laws. The more they learn, the worse they get. Basically those guys who read the rulebook only to find loopholes on it.

I headcanon that she wrote both of their names on that paper. She must have known they were close after that many years and might have thought that was what Jayce would have wanted.

It just came to my realisation that in the ending scene when everyone was putting paper with names of dead loved ones in the piles to be burnt there was no one to put a name in the pile for Viktor.

Ximena was there to put the name for his son, but would she have put Viktor's name as well? From what I can see she only had one piece.

- Jayce dresses like a proper Piltover lady. Being the face of hextech and later on a council member means that she can never look any less than perfect but she gets... Creative with it. As she would be constantly jumping between the lab, meetings and parties, Jayce just keeps a tool box in the lab full of makeup. Mel would compliment how shiny her skin looks for it to metal dust and sweat from the forge. Asking Viktoria to pass the blowtorch so she could heat a metal rod to curl her hair. Pretty privilege but its being held together with duct tape by the end of the day

- Viktoria mostly wears the male academy uniform she bought second hand in Zaun and still can't afford the female one in Piltover. Long hair that she will just pull up in a ponytail or bun. Looks sickly and has a resting bitch face. Ximena has given her some hand me downs cause Jayce's are too big on her. Feels more comfortable with pants and suits but will wear the only dress she owns if the occasion calls for it

Ximena HCs: Military Background

AN:here's a little headcanons I have for Ximena. A bit to learn more about her. I will probably add to this last as I develop her character. ENJOY!🌟

TW: SA mentioned. Very Brief literally just the term SA. But I wanted to warn in case!

Masterlist

Ximena is a plus size woman. Curvy with a stomach, but she's very flexible and has a lot of muscle even if she doesn't look it~

She's short. Her 22' version is 5ft 4in. Her 09' version is 5ft 9in.

Yes I have two versions. But I focus primarily on her 22' self.

She's a Mexican immigrant, she was 9 when she immigrated with her family to England.

She still has an accent, especially since her family made monthly or yearly trips back home

Most of her family had served. It being military, police force, or firefighters. She wanted to follow that lineage

She's really intelligent. One focus that many sought her for. She's learned so far 7 languages; Spanish, English, German, Korean, French, Japanese, Russian. *Currently learning Chinese and Dutch*

Medically trained, first started as a medic. But a few higher ups saw potential in her as a trained soldier, which she switched to

Ximena was ignored and pushed down a lot. Especially dealt with racism.

As she built her career and became a respected soldier over time

She was asked to assist with covert missions, where she shined

Came back quick, had multiple wins for herself.

Eventually, she was 'asked'(forced) to work with a well regarded soldier Simon Riley.

Side note: THEY HATED EACH OTHER

Eventually they got along, did start dating but we're not gonna go into details here~

A tragic event happened that defined her resilience. And her ties to Simon. TW: SA. That's it won't dive into it-

She witnessed Simon becoming Ghost.

She was asked to assist with Price's unit Bravo Team. She dons Bravo-2 as her call sign

She has a jumbled up career. Doing solo missions, infiltration, along with covert missions.

A few solo missions she was acknowled for was bringing down human trafficking circles, arms deals, along with sabotage for terrorist groups-

During 2018 she was asked to infiltrate the Inner Circle and figure out their motives. This was assigned by General Shepherd's who seek her expertise

She did infiltrate it. At one point she was Vladimir's right hand woman, and partner.

When the events of 2020 happened and the team was brought in to handle the terrorist attack Vladimir created. She was the rat that spilled the tea.

She didn't know how he was gonna escape. But she did know he would try.

The airport was thankfully empty out. A key note of that, Ghost wasn't left at the airport for that reason. Well I say 👀

Vladimir had a feeling it was her, but he was a coward as they had him in the helicopter. Even throwing swears and phrases to her in Russian. Soap was allowed to knock him out

What they found out was she was abused and tortured during her time. She came back from her long curly hair to a short fluffy bob. Even a few new scars on her face. Along with her being colder.

General Shepherd's did apologize for her going dark for two years. Even gave her a medal for her efforts. But she denied it, not wishing to be reminded of the time.

When Laswells asked her to assist with Task Force 141, it was during her covert mission. She was gone four days. She suffered punishment for it in the Inner Circle but it was needed at the time during 2019

When Las Almas happen, she was asked to join the two boys going out- especially since she was from Mexico. She did decline. Just helping from the sidelines

(At this time Ximena and Simon had 2 kids already. Thinking about another one-)

The chaos of the betrayal to the problems with missiles being lost and anywhere was a lot

When they finished with Graves and his Shadows, she cut her ties to Shepherd. Even if he created her to be who she was today

At the time of the missiles she was allowed a leave..due to medical reasons.

When she regroup with the lads in the bar. She was excited, but she was asked to help with just Intel from that point on. Seeing she had to for her medical leave she would be taking them on.

(she was pregnant. Third baby on the way! Ghost was worried not gonna lie, his precious wife was out in danger just a week ago and she was pregnant??)

During 2023, and the events leading up.

Once Makarov was known to be loose. She was secured and safe along with her kids. Monitor for her and her family safety since she was his rat years ago

She helped pinpoint locations, dealt with Shepherd when he wanted back in. Even gave them codes and security by pass with the Koni group.

She heard about Johnny getting injured and how Makarov was still at large.

The Riley family was put under protection, Simon was clear on his position. We get Makarov we retire. Maybe.

Both agreed, get Makarov and retire from field work. Maybe. Doesn't mean they didn't wanna be on base training the next generation. But that was for future conversations

My HC on why Giopara and Talis look so different is that they have different mothers. They both have Mr. Talis as a father, but in Arcane's timeline he married Ximena, and in the base League timeline he married someone else.

(Jayce Giopara's family situation is... Complicated. We don't know anything about his actual parents (they might be dead? We're not really sure), but we do know that House Giopara sponsored him at a very young age, similar to how the Kirammans sponsored Talis in Arcane. He probably wasn't born to House Giopara, but they were his main sponsors for a long time. YEAH SAME obligatory my lore knowledge is iffy at best, this is all probably nonsensical and this mostly my half assed interpretation BUT!!

when it comes to the alternate timeline versions of the characters (aka the skins) there’s a good amount of odd physical variation so it’s clear while they are consistencies in a lot of timelines and I’ve always assumed it’s due to either due to different parentage or hitting a different order in the genetic lottery (ie Caitlyn being blonde in the battle school universe or Vi being a noble in the gilded/no zaun timeline). Jayce has a few really weird variations like being blond in one or two and straight up having blue hair and glasses in another (could be died yeah, but that universe is a piltover/zaun fusion and theres plenty of weird natural hair colors down there), but for him it’s particularly strange because of his last name. In Arcane he’s born into the name Talis (or possibly married into? He looks a lot like the image of the late Mr talis but I know there’s a few theories/headcanons that he’s an immigrant too. Hard to say because we STILL don’t know what the fuck they were doing in that blizzard or anything about Talis’s dad really), but in the lore we have no clue what kind of family Jayce might’ve had, if he had any at all. I doubt he’d be apart of House (or clan? I know it’s called different things in the lore) Talis if the House still exists at ALL anymore. Him becoming part of the Giopara house was more or less a business transaction.

And I think that lack of genuine familial connection to them + his lack of connections to other people in general made him a lot more stubborn and mean. It’s also ingrained this need to prove himself and be right, because he had to prove himself a worth investment to this family otherwise he might not be in it tomorrow (not exactly like Talis people pleasing tendencies, but not too far off from it). Which obviously fucked with his perception of relationships and self worth a LOT. Which is reflected a lot once he starts having a genuine friendship with Viktor because he doesn’t really know. What to do with this or how to not be combative and stubborn about everything (neither does Viktor to be frank. it’s a very new experience on both sides. its one of the reasons their relationship was so explosive and ended in the way it did). And like he still wants to do good and be good but he doesn’t know how to connect with people really and I do think he being treated like an asset before a member of a family fucked with him a deep level.

(I do think as he got older, and especially at the rise of his popularity as a hero, his want for approval fades a lot. At that point he's mostly realized he doesn't give a shit what other people think anymore and stops putting on a performance for everyone. he's still emotionally constipated, lonely as hell and has yet to get over himself but he's getting somewhere, at least.)

Talis never really liked people much either or had many friendships but he can at least say that he had some sort bond with his mother and Caitlyn before Viktor. I think he was a lot more of the kind and naive person in comparison because he had an environment where he could be that. i dont think Giopara ever had that. (To be fair, Talis ALSO has a good amount of problems that stem from his childhood, mostly from the blizzard, but this aint about him rn).

tldr Jayce Giopara and Jayce Talis at their core are the same, but they lived entirely differently lives that shaped them into different kinds of people.

(In a similar sense, I don’t think arcane Viktor ever could’ve become like Machine Herald Vik, or at least not as extreme, solely due to his experience with Rio and Singed. It deeply ingrained the fear of being forced to live too long + being robbed of his anatomy + getting fundamentally changed against his will, all of which are things MH Vik has pretty opposite views about. He had to be forced into this role of inhumanity against his will and actively KILLED for him to start going ‘humanity is the problem’. MH viktor (I assume) never had that horribly traumatic experience and thus developed different values. there's probably more to their childhood that created such a difference but they gave us fuck all with arcane vik's backstory)

And honestly I think him actively trying to evolve everyone is partially because he does want to help and the DEEP internalized ableism but also because he’s desperately trying to have some sort of control over himself by claiming that he’s better now without his humanity, like it was his choice. even though it wasn’t and the idea of having nothing of his own self deeply terrified him. But that’s a tangent for another time)
