prompt from my own state of being TM:

V3 boys (minus Ryoma) Who’s S/O Has Trouble Sleeping

Gonta Gokuhara:

this man lived with wild animals for 10 years

it took him a while to adjust to a sleep schedule that wasn't sunrise and sunset, but when he does go to sleep, hes out like a light

he will always stay up if you ask him to, though.

“Gonta gentleman, and gentlemen would never let S/O lie awake by themselves”

he tells you bug facts and talks about all the pretty bugs he saw that day

and if he does end up falling asleep before you, he’s always holding you so lovingly that you have no problem relaxing in his arms and drifting off

he will still wake up before you, letting you sleep just a little longer when he knows you had a rough night.

after the first sleepless night, he buys you lavender, a stuffed toy, and some comfy pyjamas

“Gonta talked to friends, and they helped Gonta get S/O some things to help you sleep”

K1-B0:

you consider this one of the many perks of dating a robot

all he needs to do to charge is plug himself in, he can stay up with you all night if needed

whilst he does prefer to power down when charging (it helps him to feel human) he is more than happy to stay awake with you

you probably talk about feelings and might end up teaching Keebo a new emotion

sometimes however you just like to cuddle him in silence while you try your hardest to sleep

he even got Miu to lighten some of his parts so that he’s not so heavy when leaning against you

he probably also uses heating/cooling elements to help you sleep

he would also research how to help with sleep

you come home one day to find your room smelling of lavender, a humidifier in the corner, and Keebo, with several newly installed sleep soundtracks

Kaito Momota:

if you cant sleep you bet your ass he’s taking you stargazing

thankfully you can usually get pretty clear skies from your back garden

so you lie with Kaito in the grass as he points out all his favourite constellations

sometimes he’ll see a planet in the distance and get really excited

he’s always wanted to go stargazing, but no ones ever awake late enough into the night

so even though you sometimes really want to sleep, he’s thankful that you’re able to stay up with him

often you’ll fall asleep outside and Kaito will have to carry you back in

dont want to go outside for whatever reason? no fear, Kaito has a lamp that shines all the stars in the galaxy on your bedroom ceiling.

it became a routine with you two, gazing at the stars until you fall asleep, only to wake up to sunlight through the blinds and a snoring Kaito holding you in his arms

Kokichi Oma:

this boy doesnt even know what sleep is

is more than happy to stay up with you

will insist that you two do dumb slumber party shit

“PILLOW FIIIGGGHHHTTTT!!!”

honestly, he’s really good at tiring you out to the point of exhaustion, so at least he helps you sleep that way

“awwe, S/O’s finally tired nowww? but I'm not tired yet! and I stayed up for you so you have to stay up for me”

you end up wrestling him into a hug to get him to calm down

after a few minutes of struggling he eventually quietens down

he cuddles right into you and practically melts in your arms

you know right away that he’s asleep

seeing him so peaceful makes you sleepy too

eventually you both drift off

Korekiyo Shinguji:

he’s been waiting for this moment

he has so many old rituals and beliefs surrounding sleep that he wants to try

you have to sit through many awkward evenings of different rituals and listen to all kinds of stories about why they were believed to be effective

some of them may have helped slightly, though it might have been placebo

or maybe it was just the idea of Kiyo being so happy to explore this part of history with you that calmed you into sleep

he does eventually discover that the more modern methods are the best

the sound of rain especially seems to help

you find him doing some kind of weird ritual one evening

“oh, dont mind me, dear. I'm merely performing a rain summoning ritual i found so you can sleep peacefully again tonight”

this man

he hadn’t even considered the concept of just playing recorded sounds from the internet

you let him finish his ritual, and whilst it doesnt rain that night, you are able to find a good playlist of rain sounds instead

Rantaro Amami:

he knows just the thing

one of his sisters always struggled to sleep, so to help her, he would read her favourite story

you try to insist that you arent a kid, but he convinces you to let him try

maybe he just wanted to read to someone again

you let him choose the book the first night, you both lie in bed while he reads out loud

you never fully noticed it before, but his voice is really comforting

hearing his soothing voice along with the soft turning of pages really calmed you down

you cant even make out what he’s saying any more

you just know that right now, you could probably sleep forever

it became a routine after that. every night Rantaro would read to you from a book, or tell you stories about his travels

you’re only letting him because he seems to enjoy it, of course. no other reason at all

Shuichi Saihara:

he’s not sure if you’ll enjoy it, but he knows something that always helps him

unsure of what he’s talking about, you agree to give it a try

one night, just as Shuichi is about to head off to meet his friends, he suddenly asks you to come with him

you always wondered what he got up to with Katio and Maki this late in the afternoon, so you jump at the opportunity

they seem, oddly happy to see you, saying that theres more than enough room for four people in their training group

wait, training? like, physical workouts?

unfortunately, yes, that is exactly whats happening

you, Shuichi, Kaito and Maki spend around an hour doing push-ups and crunches and jumping jacks, the kind of exercises you can do anywhere

when you finally get home, you’re both a wheezing, sweaty mess

you’re both still laughing with adrenaline, but the minute you lay down in bed, you feel tiredness overtake you

it’s gonna be a good nights sleep, you can feel it

who knew working out could actually be beneficial?

With 4th of July finally coming to an end.... it’s time! Time for the story we’ve been planning! That being said:

Danganronpa V4: A New Ending

(Title pending?)

Pairing: Hajime x female reader

Summary: a whole new killing game, with a different group of participants, and a whole new character

The first chapter will come out soon, and when it does, you’ll find the link here!

Here is all our people starring in this story!

Y/N L/N, The Ultimate Forensic Scientist

A spunky young girl with a spunky young attitude. She tends to keep to herself, but isn’t necessarily shy. From her school file, it’s highly assumed that she somehow stumbled across a crime scene as a child, how she actually got there is unknown. Although no older than 13, she was easily able to point out evidence that the forensic specialists already in scene missed before she was quickly escorted away.

Seemingly unbothered by the corpses she witnessed, she then pursued her newly found interest in crime scenes and how to process them, along with collecting evidence.

Her quick learning caught the attention of many, including Hope’s Peak. They offered to pay for her entire schooling if she attended, and she agreed. As Y/N got dressed and ready for her first day at Hope’s Peak, she could have never guessed she would be forced to fight for her life along with 15 others, and put her talent to use.

Hajime Hinata, The Ultimate???

A hotheaded teen who seems to have amnesia, being unable to remember his talent. His uptight nature puts off some of the others, but a few seem interested in him, some even offering to help him discover his talent.

Although he’d never say it, he feels self conscious due to not knowing what his job is supposed to be.

Admires most, if not all, talents, especially the ones that directly make society run better.

Not much can be said about him, he’s still trying to figure out who he is.

He remembers getting ready for the start of the school year, walking out of his home, and then everything going black. Then he woke up on this island, and now has to keep himself and those he cares for alive.

Kokichi Ouma, The Ultimate Supreme Leader

A spry young boy who refuses to really speak of his past. It’s unclear what in his school file is even the truth. He claims to be the supreme leader of an evil organization called DICE, an organization with elegidly 10,000+ members. Hence his talent title. Almost everything that comes out of his mouth he claims to be a lie, so it’s hard to tell what he is actually like.

While he doesn’t ever go into detail of his organization, it seems to be one of the only things he actually cares about and wants to get back to.

He seems hardly bothered by the idea of a killing game, even saying, hopefully joking, that he’d make the first kill. Most are unnerved by his presence and stay away.

Mukuro Ikusaba, The Ultimate Soldier

A quiet, stern girl who does not speak unless absolutely necessary. The older fraternal twin sister of Junko Enoshima, a fashionista famous in Japanese magazine’s. Mukuro seems completely indifferent to anything unless it’s about her sister, to which she grows immediately passionate, almost like a different person. Doesn’t speak about why she and her sister have different last names, claiming it shouldn’t matter.

While not thrilled at the thought of a killing game, she shows extreme faith that her sister will find and rescue her. Most people avoid her, she is the ultimate soldier, after all. Out of everyone, she’d be able to kill the most efficiently.

Doesn’t mind that people avoid her, she likes the quiet anyway.

Makoto Naegi, The Ultimate Lucky Student

A simple, average teenager who lives a simple and average life. He was randomly selected to go to Hope's peak, so he doesn’t really possess any actual talent.

Although talentless, he does seem to possess a decent level of smarts and gets along with everyone easily. No one really fears him, he’s too small and sweet to be capable of murder.

While he doesn’t pose a threat to others, he poses a threat to the mastermind, or anyone who lays their hands on his sister.

Komaru Naegi, a normal student

Komaru possesses no actual talent, much like her brother. However, she is different in the sense that she wasn’t even accepted into Hope’s Peak since she wasn’t quite of age to even be considered as a possibility.

She remembers being taken hostage after she and her parents sent off her older brother, only to awaken on an island, her brother right beside her.

She wants to trust everyone, and takes relief in having her brother by her side.

Shuichi Saihara, The Ultimate Detective

A shy boy who hides his eyes behind a black cap. He seems rather insecure, despite having the talent that poses as the most useful in the current situation. He is quiet and doesn’t like interacting with others, but seems to get more comfortable as time goes on.

He doesn’t like the idea of the killing game, obviously, but he’s mostly worried that some of his classmates will take it seriously.

K1-B0, The Ultimate Robot

Created by a man called Professor Idabashi, a prominent figure in robotics engineering. He created K1-B0(has told others they can call him Keebo) as a culmination of his work.

Keebo doesn’t quite understand human emotions perfectly, but he has a decent idea which is impressive in of itself.

Much like Mukuro, he has faith that he will be saved by a family member. Seeing as he refers to Professor Idabashi as his father. He says he has a tracker, and that when the professor realizes he is missing, a search team will be sent.

Toko Fukawa, The Ultimate Writing Prodigy

An extremely shy and timid girl who does speak to many people. Those she does speak to tend to be weirded out by her... odd and even perverted nature.

She had written multiple books and does seem to be extremely smart, her only issue being her timid nature.

Accused most (if not all) the boys in her class of being perverts.

Angie Yonaga, The Ultimate Artist

Angie loves art in any form, obviously because of her ultimate.

However, she also stands out due to her belief that she is the Devine interpreter for the god Atua, a god she says her people worship.

Angie believes Atua will have his way, and that the killing game is part of something bigger.

Rantaro Amami, The Ultimate Adventurer

A chill, laid back boy who believes in keeping the peace. His calm and collected personality is soothing, leading most, if not all, of the other students to trust him and listen to what he suggests.

Some seem off put by how calm he acts, but most understand that he’s just really good at staying calm and knows that panicking won’t always help.

Often tells tales of his travels to distract those who are afraid.

Nagito Komaeda, The Ultimate Lucky Student

Yet another lucky student, chosen to attend Hope’s Peak at random like Makoto. However, he seems to also have an.... interesting relationship with luck.

His luck has caused death and destruction around him, but he still manages to stay calm and even cheerful in the face of a literal killing game.

Nagito believes hope will prevail no matter what, so he chooses to pretty much just “go with the flow.”

Byakuya Togami, The Ultimate Affluent Progeny

A stuck up and condescending teen who makes it very clear that he does not approve of being trapped on an island like this. This isn’t a funny prank or initiation.

He is rather rich and will inherit the Togami company, after competing against 14 other siblings to “take the crown” and earn the inheritance. He was the youngest of the sibling, or candidates, and is the first youngest to ever come out on top.

Gonta Gokuhara, The Ultimate Entomologist

A.... sweet young man who loves anything and everything bugs. He isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but he has a good heart.

(Jsvshsv I don’t know what to write for Gonta I’ll finish his later)

Mikan Tsumiki, The Ultimate Nurse

A clumsy and frightened girl who somehow manages to find herself in compromising positions constantly. On accident.

With her and Y/N present, people are at ease, seeing they have practically a full medical team in case something were to happen.

While she often does more worse than good due to her clumsy nature, she has a good heart, and people know that.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru, The Ultimate Moral Compass

A stern and strict boy who believes in respect and following rules contstantly. He is probably one of the only students who respects the killing games headmaster, Monokuma.

While not thrilled about the idea of a murder game, he sticks to the idea that it is a prank from upperclassmen.

Shuichi Saihara:

This man definitely starts panicking when you started to shed tears down. He would ask you and gets worried.

When you pouted and turn your head over to another direction, he'll start to sulk, as I mean sulk, I mean he starts to get depressed and start thinking on what did he done wrong.

You couldn't even bare to see him sulk and get depressed, you softly pouted out that you are jealous and continues to be mad at him.

At this time he finally understood why you acted like that, so he would first apologize to you and explain that he didn't know that will make you jealous.

As a very responsible boy like him, he would definitely ask you to forgive him and promise to try to not doing the same mistake again

I MEAN- he's such a small doggy wanting affection and love from you, would you not forgive him?

Afterwards he shows you lots and lots of affection when you're all alone, if you're lucky , he would even gives you kisses!

" I'll make it up for you with a kiss, can I?"

Kaito Momota:

He is a dumbass , he didn't even notice that you are jealous and almost going to cry. He would just continue his day and act like things are fine when they are not-

You couldn't help but to get a bit more frustrated- he doesn't even care you a bit does he?

So when you started to avoid him and not giving any attention to him at the same time, he will starts to worry.

At first, he would ask on what's happening, but out of pride, you didn't tell him and continues to not giving attention to him

At this rate, kaito knew he definitely messed up *SOMETHING* but he just couldn't know what!

With SHUICHI'S help over text, he found out that he actually made you jealous! What an obvious thing to know!

He starts to act sorry around you and begs you to forgive him, he would even secretly prepare things that you like for you to forgive him.

With a lot of tries, you finally forgive him, oh you don't know how much this made him happy!

"I promise you, I won't make you angry any more, alright my prince/ss?

Rantaro Amami:

He would be the first one to notice among all the other drv3 boys, I mean..he had a sister, so he definitely knows how would someone react to when their jealous

He would then first apologize to you and told you that he didn't mean to make you jealous.

But you wouldn't succumb to him, so you continue to pout and turn you figure away from him.

At this rate, Rantaro figured, he had to show you some affection he thought. As so, he grabbed you from behind and pull you into his arms, asking you to forgive him.

And if this is not enough, he would lean closer to your face and offered a kiss as he said that it is for making up to you.

You couldn't handle it, tell me if you could handle it, I'm gonna give you a thumbs up

So you immediately agreed to forgive him and shyly escape from his love and affection

He then let out a soft chuckle as he didn't regret what he just did, such a cute expression, he thought to himself

" if I could see that expression then I might as well make you jealous again ahaha~.."

Kokichi Ouma:

Kokichi... He would notice it pretty early but decides to act like he hadn't notice, he kinda wants to know on what would you react when he didn't comfort you or anything, just curious.

And besides, comforting is not a kokichi thing! A sudden joke to make you smile and laugh, that's the right way to do!

But ... You are kinda frustrated right now.. I mean, you're jealous and you almost going to cry and he just ... Don't give a shit? You couldn't help but actually shed down tears.

He noticed , and starts to think whether he should continue his plan or not, but at last, he couldn't help but ran over to you and comfort you

He apologised and tell you that he actually just wanted to make you happy in a different way and didn't knew it would go like this.

Of course, you decided to tease him as well after hearing wht he had said. So you then started to act angry and frustrated while you turn away from him

This made kokichi sad, he then run towards you and hug you from behind asking you to forgive him. This made your heart warm- JUST IMAGINE THAT

You then stopped teasing him and turn around to hug him, the. You told him that you're not actually mad, it was all just an act.

You guys laughed and make it up...

" Nishishi! You have talent to be a liar too!"

Kiibo:

Kiibo would definitely panic as well, he doesn't know why would you react like that, and why would you cry!

He then stated out all the things he had done wrong- some even not relevant to the situation ... something like he ate your doughnut, he pushed someone into the river by accident-

You tried to hold on to your laughter and told him that it want any of those, it's just you made him jealous and turn away from him

He then stood at where he was, questioning what's a jealous? What does it look like, is it some kind of emotion

You coulve guessed that... And you then walk back to him and explain what he did to make you feel jealous.

He then heard what you stated and imply that he doesn't mean it like that- you guys just make up like that-

But Kiibo still gives you affection though, he said that he had to care you more to understand you better, and that emotion of yours.

So you earned cuddles and kisses when you're at home! Ain't that great!

I'm sure that if he ever makes you jealous again, he would definitely apologize unstoppably-

And you would DEFINITELY forgive him out of cuteness. I can guarantee that

" Pl-please forgive me for I am a dumb robot!"

Korekiyo shinguji:

When he found out that you're crying out of jealousy, he would be the first one to run after you and wrap you in his arms

Apologizing to you, and wipe your tears with his fingers. He know he did something unforgivable. Making you cry , and because of his action? Oh god.. how could this be?!

He would hug you real tight and tell you how sorry he is, as well as asking for forgiveness.he said he understand jealousy too much and hated how it feels so he wouldn't want you to feel that as well

He then would praise on how beautiful you are even if you're crying, ah.. humanity is indeed beautifull, he stated.

You would definetly forgive him, but he seems to take this about too serious- which is a good thing- I assume?

So you decided to calm him down by telling that it's actually fine, he don't need to feel so hurt just because of you crying.

He couldn't believe his ears, you're his favourite and precious thing to him, how would he not feel hurt?

So when you guys went back home, you would have to listen to him explaining how important you are to him, and to not let you feel jealous never again!

" kekeke... For as you know, you are my treasure I will most definitely protect"

And then I ran out of ideas here- damn it

Ryoma Hoshi:

Ryoma would then comfort you as soon as you shed your tears, though you can't see it from his expression, he is really worried about you.

When he found out that his action made you jealous, he explained all and what happened actually to you.

He then stars self-blaming, saying stuffs like he should have been more wary and think about his actions more,

And he would starts to get depressed-

You then stop tearing at hug him , as well as telling him that it's alright, you don't mind that much anyways, and tell him to self blaming as it is not entirely his fault

You guys make it up real quick and Ryoma suddenly let out a soft laugh.

He said that he couldn't be more happy just because you are with him, and you are staying by his side as well

You felt your heart skipped a bit- it's a rare scene where Ryoma smiles! You couldn't help but light up both of your eyes and grab your phone quickly to snap this scene

Ryoma awkwardly smiles as you snap the pic . He then told you that you could always take a pic of him anytime...

"fufu.. fine.. you can take my pictures i guess"

Gonta Gokuhara:

Gonta doesn't know why you cry?! Gonta is confused why you cry! Gonta tries to understand why you cry so Gonta ask.

Gonta ask you, you tell Gonta it's nothing. But Gonta feel like there's something! So Gonta continue asking.

Suddenly, you laughed. Gonta no understand why you laugh, then you say Gonta cute! Gonta no can cute! Gonta is gentleman!

Gonta then tell you Gonta not cute, but you is very cute! Gonta loves to see you laugh! So Gonta don't like you cry!

Gonta see you no cry, Gonta happy.so Gonta give you hugs! Gonta loves hugs with you!

Gonta think Gonta hug you too tight, Gonta sorry. Gonta let go of you now.

"Gonta no love you cry! So Gonta will make you laugh!"

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA V3 (and probably the other games, too, just to be safe)

So, just as a heads up, I made this list a few months ago, I think in the middle of chapter 4. I was going to update it, but I realized that any feelings I had were just made stronger and the list was still relatively accurate. Here are my thoughts:

I see no god up here other than me

Kirumi Tojo - As you may know about me, I can typically tell who my favorite characters are going to be before I indulge myself in a series. This has especially rung true throughout Danganronpa, I was able to correctly guess Taka and Gundham as my respective favorites before actually seeing them in action. Let me tell you that Kirumi surprised me. I originally guessed K1-B0 as my favorite and while he’s still up there, he is nowhere near Kirumi. I realized she was my favorite the moment chapter 2 ended. Not only were her execution and plan wonderful and brilliantly done, her last-ditch plea to convince everyone to let her live sold her for me. Not only did this plea make sense, it almost worked and I kinda wish it would’ve. Her motive was almost completely selfless and she worked damn hard to escape. Her execution was the only time I cried during this game because I wanted so badly for her to escape, but I knew that all of her efforts were futile. I know her biggest criticism is that her plan from hiding Ryoma’s body was completely unnecessary, but I like to believe she was just nervous and overthought the whole thing. I mean, this had to go perfectly in order for her to save her country, of course she’s going to add a few too many steps.

Miu Iruma - Okay, I know this is going to sound fake, but I actually really love the dichotomy of her character. The way that she acts so self-righteous but is actually quite self-conscious really stood out to me. Of course she’s funny and hot, too, but I feel it’s important to really appreciate the way her character was written. It amazes me that she was written to be the least likable character in the entire series and still ended up being one of my favorites.

You’re the best

K1-B0 - Yes, I type out his name every time. As I already mentioned, he was my original guess for favorite character, but it obviously didn’t work out that way. He stayed in his position of first for a while, but I always knew it wasn’t meant to last, I just didn’t know which character would take his place. Even besides my doubts, I still love K1-B0, I just wish more could’ve been done with him in the earlier chapters. There are several opportunities for him to be a really funny character and have good interactions with Kokichi and Miu, but he just comes off as annoying. I feel like he only really started to be utilized after Miu died with Monotaro and I really enjoyed their dynamic, I just wish we could’ve had some of this side of K1-B0 before this point.

Kokichi Oma - This spot probably isn’t as subjective as I’d like it to be. Every time Kokichi was on screen, I would get visibly annoyed, but I knew I was in for a treat figuring out his deeper intents behind what he’s saying. The only reason I really like Kokichi at all is because he’s fun to analyze. It gets boring to analyze Nagito because his motivation is pretty much just a mix of “hope” and “he’s crazy.” Kokichi’s character trait of lying makes it so fun to individually analyze each of his lines to figure out whether he’s telling the truth and why or why not. Other than that, I guess he has some funny dialogue with Miu sometimes.

Gonta Gokuhara - I really don’t know. I know this is way too early to be unsure about characters, but I just know I couldn’t put him any lower, but I also couldn’t put him any higher. He’s just such a sweetheart, but that’s about where the substance ends. I adored every time he was on my screen, but everything that would’ve been fun to analyze about him just leads back to Kokichi. I still really enjoy his presence, though. I’d like a big Gonta hug.

Kaede Akamatsu - I’ll just say it, I think she would’ve made for a better protagonist. I’ll talk about this later, but Shuichi’s character development doesn’t really feel like it goes anywhere and the twist doesn’t feel worth it because of that. I think the twist should still have been incorporated, but with the roles reversed. Either way, we got what we got, and what we got was tears from Clair de Lune. But seriously, she really is a great pianist. I’ve been trying to learn the piece for ages and it’s still too complicated for me. I mean, it’s in 9/8 for God’s sake. Good for her, regardless.

Tenko Chabashira - Tenko’s a weird case. I didn’t actually care for her that much until quite literally a few lines before she died. Fun fact: I spoiled this entire series for myself before I ended up playing it and I’m still mad at myself. This meant that I was just waiting for all of the deaths to happen, especially Tenko’s. I was fully aware that every line could be her last during the seance, but I wasn’t aware that she would pull on my heart strings before she went. When she tells Himiko that she’ll do the seance in her place so she can talk to Angie, I literally almost started crying. Before this, Tenko was just kind of annoying, but not too bad, but this moment really solidified her spot for me. She really just wanted to help Himiko and I wish she had chosen a better target for her affections.

Hey, I think you’re pretty cool, I like you a lot

Shuichi Saihara - Time to elaborate on what I said for Kaede. I actually really enjoyed Shuichi’s character development throughout the first three chapters. Before coming to Hope’s Peak, he was afraid to hurt people with his detective skills. Kaede notices this and helps him through it, passing the reins to Kaito once she passes. Shuichi convicts Kaede and later Kirumi, much to everyone’s detriment, but they’re all okay with it (Nobody was really super sad about Korekiyo to begin with, lol). Then, starting in chapter 4, everyone just kinda flips on him. Shuichi + the rest of the gang - Kokichi all believe that Gonta is innocent and Shuichi tries to prove this. Instead of supporting him, everyone (especially Kaito) tries to... stop him??? from proving it??? They’re all just in agreement that it wasn’t Gonta, but don’t want to proceed with the investigation to figure out who it was instead. It’s really frustrating and made my overall experience much less enjoyable. This is bumped up a few notches in chapter 5 with Maki. I understand that she was part of the whole case, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying that she won’t let me prove Kaito was the victim. It just feels like the character development was all for nothing and every student feels like a human obstacle (except K1-B0, of course). Still relatable and emo, though.

Rantaro Amami - I would make the joke everyone expects, but I’m on my laptop and I don’t know how to get to the emoji keyboard.

Ryoma Hoshi - I genuinely don’t have anything to say about Ryoma. He’s my halfway point because I don’t have anything particularly for him and I don’t have anything particularly against him, either. Go off, funky little cat man.

Kaito Momota - He got on my nerves in chapter 4, but he was a genuinely sweet character that I really enjoyed talking to. Any time he would talk about the stars, I would swoon because he’s just such a natural romantic. Not really my type, though. Very average.

Monophanie - Legally you can’t ask me why the monokubs are where they are. She’s voiced by Natalie Hoover (Sonia) and I guess that’s my only reasoning.

Monotaro - I really just liked his interactions with K1-B0 in chapter 4. Other than that, I greatly disliked his and Monophanie’s presence in Gonta’s execution. 0/10 worst use for monokubs.

Monodam - A nice, non-distracting addition to Korekiyo’s execution. But he had so much potential and just threw it all away. Apparently I’m a basketball dad from a high school movie now.

I remember you

Angie Yonaga - Many times, I’ve found myself asking who I ship from the series and this love triangle comes to mind. Of Angie, Himiko, and Tenko... I only really like Tenko. I don’t hate Angie’s cult stuff as much as everyone else seems to, but she didn’t have nearly enough of a presence for me to latch onto outside of the cult stuff, which was funny, I will admit.

Maki Harukawa - I was so excited the whole game for her to get cool. I knew she was going to get cool, I just didn’t know when or how. But then, it was chapter 5 already and she hadn’t gotten cool in my eyes yet. I was really meh on her by that chapter anyway, but her being annoying really knocked her down a few pegs. She got a couple extra points for surprising me during the case, but not enough to bump her up any spots.

Himiko Yumeno - I was rooting for her to be crushed under the rock at the end. She was fine before chapter 3, but then they tried to develop her with the Akane treatment and it didn’t work for me at all. She just got on my nerves during the third trial and continued to contribute nothing throughout the rest of the game. During chapter 5 and 6, it’s like the writers just completely forgot that she was there. This would’ve been fine if they weren’t the last couple of chapters and she was one of about 6 people left alive. She had a role to play and didn’t play it in the slightest. The most she was utilized after chapter 3 was as Miu’s replacement post-chapter 5. Someone needed to fill the dirty jokes quota and I guess Himiko was chosen. #GiveTenkoABetterLoveInterest2021

Monosuke - The only thing I remember him doing throughout the entire game was distract me from Kirumi’s exectuion. Not a fan.

Korekiyo Shinguji - Okay, listen. He’s not that bad. His design is actually one of the best, in my opinion and I love his dedication to his craft. However, he just creeps me out whenever he’s on screen and I’d prefer not to be around him. It’s not even the sister thing, I honestly think that’s funny and a nice change of pace, but his overall demeanor is creepy. Not to mention he’s played by Todd Haberkorn and he’s been in one too many roles recently. Hopefully I’ll get over it, but as for now, that loses him points.

Tsumugi Shirogane - I know, not exactly an unpopular opinion. She’s just annoying and downright pisses me off a lot of the time with her “plain” shtick. I already knew she was going to be the mastermind, so most of the game was just me waiting for her to reveal it. I swear, I almost couldn’t take it every time she said something like, “What if there isn’t a mastermind?” “What?? There’s a mastermind????” Just stfu Tsumugi. You all are lucky I don’t have the energy to talk about 3-6 right now.

Monokid - Hate the tongue sprite, that’s literally the only reason he’s down here. He’s also kind of annoying, but made the best addition to an execution out of all of the monokubs. His death was one of the few things that surprised me in this game and it was a welcome twist. I was sick of him by this point, but was still incredibly shocked when he was pushed into the execution. Then, his severed head rolls out to all of the students looking on in shock at Kaede’s death. Masterful. Still hate the tongue sprite.

There we go. Definitely my least favorite cast out of the whole series, but it’s still fun to love on and hate on a lot of the characters, as per usual. There are just a few too many in the middle tier (metaphorically speaking) that are either uninteresting or just don’t get their time to shine. Maybe they’ll eventually grow on me more, but I doubt it.

Danganronpa V3 Smash Bros Tournament!

•Monokuma decides a good way to get everyone to kill each other is a Smash Bros Tournament, I mean, with all the salt someone’s bound to snap.

•No one kills each other, aside from Maki attempting to kill Kokichi, but it does become a weekly tradition despite the rage.

Kaede Akamatsu

• Get’s into a heated debate over who gets to main Rosalina with Kaito, but after a bit she caved and agreed to pick someone else.

•She end’s up picking Peach after Tsumugi makes a comment that they kinda look alike.

•Little did anyone know that Kaede is actually kinda a monster with Peach and frequently does really well in the tournaments.

•Favourite stage is New Donk city, and every time she gets to play on it she sings Jump up Superstar the entire match.

•Nobody is sure if they love or hate it.

•When not singing, she’ll make the stage music anything that has a dominant Piano.

•Favourite item is the Star Rod

Shuichi Saihara

• Acts like he’s never played before and decides to main Chrom due to him seeing easy enough to play and liking his personality.

•In actuality has played on and off for years and is a proud Dedede main but is too embarrassed to admit it.

•Also plays Pikachu but cause it’s Miu’s main he doesn’t usually use the electric mouse.

•Usually middle of the road in the tournaments.

•Prefers to fight on Battlefield but so long as the stage doesn’t move he can live with anything.

•Likes to keep items off.

Rantaro Amami:

•Good with all three Link forms, but has a bias for Toon Link.

•Can’t remember when he started playing, but given how he’s the only one who doesn’t panic by tripping they assume it’s Brawl.

•They also assume this because whenever someone picks Meta Knight he gets visibly distressed.

•Tournament wise he Can either do really well or really s**t depending on the day.

•Doesn’t have a favourite stage but tends to pick the Zelda stages cause he likes them the best.

•The only one who’s happy when a warp star shows up.

Ryoma Hoshi:

•At first played Incineroar cause its the only cat.

•After realising how bad his recovery was though, he kinda just tried anything to see what would work.

•Found a few semi-mains, namely Snake, Link and Villager

•Usually doesn‘t try to hard in tournaments so comes in last, or will even sit out, but when he wants to win, he will.

•Moral of the story, if he picks Villager, panic.

•No stage or item preference, but when it’s his turn to pick he tends to go with Shadow Moses island cause he likes the look.

Kirumi Tojo

•Mains everyone and is good with all of them.

•Like, can beat Mario with Little Mac good.

•Does have a slight preference towards Shiek though due to her admiring the ninja’s loyalty.

•Due to her skills, she tends to sit out with Ryoma to give everyone a chance.

•When she does play though, well, try not to loose too fast.

•Also usually the one who has to stop Maki killing Kokichi if he beats her.

•Always goes random when stage picking time comes, but also puts all the stages in battlefield mode in case it lands on something BS.

•For similar reasons tries to ignore items

Angie Yonaga

•Everyone expected her to pick Palutena, and while she does have her as a sub main, Angie usually plays Sephiroth. •Why? Angel (kinda), kick ass theme, and loves watching the others panic when they see him. Plus, Atua told her to pick someone unexpected.

•Also tried Pit and Dark Pit, and while she likes their personalities she isn’t big on their gameplay.

•To this day the only one who’s beat Kirumi in a match, and outside of that time she’s still good in tournaments.

•Atua told Angie to pick Big Blue one day, and ever since everyone dreads her turn on stage select.

Tenko Chabishira

• Always plays as a girl no matter what.

•Plays Min Min more often than not, but occasionally surprises everyone by whipping out villager.

•Why? “She’s Himiko cute!!”

•Pretty good at the game, but super competitive. Unless you’re Himiko, be prepared to get yelled at at least once if she looses.

•One day while everyone was playing random, she got Ken and kinda hated that she likes it so she occasionally plays him in private. •Shuichi caught her doing this while he was playing Dedede, and they both promised to never tell a soul.

•Punch Out stage or bust!

•Doesn’t have an opinion on items, but when she plays villager she hopes for the bunny hood cause she thinks it’s adorable.

Korekiyo Shinguji

•Lucario or bust (he likes the aura theme) though he’s also kinda a monster with Lucina

•Strangely though, whenever he uses Lucina he acts... different? (the class is convinced he’s possessed when this happens.)

•Outside of that though, tends to be one of the worse players.

•Second to none at recovery though.

•Hyrule castle has been his favourite stage since day one And that’s never gonna change.

•Always has items on, he likes the surprise factor (he and Shuichi are never allowed have a one on one fight)

Miu Iruma

•Has probably been playing the longest aside from Kirumi.

•Has played all the games, and cause Of this is decent with all of the OG 8, but will always pick Pikachu.

•Will only ever pick someone else if it’s a random match or someone makes her give Shuichi a turn, and in that case she picks Pichu as a backup.

•Despite her boasting, is usually in the lower end of the group.

•Doesn’t stop her from rubbing it in when she wins though.

•Tends to go for Wily’s castle for her stage, if for no other reason than she’s the only one who can handle the yellow devil.

•Super Hammer or bust!

Gonta Gokuhara

•Likes Donkey Kong the best, but also tries to learn how to play Joker from Kokichi cause he looks like a gentleman.

•Also likes all the Pokémon even if he isn’t the best with them.

•Honestly, aside from Olimar he likes everyone, and he only really dislikes Olimar cause he’s bullying the bugs!

•Everyone agrees to never touch the pikmin rep when he’s in the room.

•Tends to come in last with the only one he can beat kinda consistently is Ryoma without villager, but he still has a lot of fun.

•Tends to pick whatever stage everyone likes best, and has no clue how to use items.

Kokichi Ouma

•Always plays Joker because who else is a phantom thief going to pick.

•Actually he plays Villager in his spare time but Kaito is the only that knows and that was a mistake so shh.....

•Begrudgingly teaches Gonta how to play, if only from the horror on someone’s face when they get cocky only to loose to the guy who didn’t even know what a Smash Bros was a few weeks ago.

•Peak troll. Camps with gun, let’s people *cough* Kaito and Miu *cough* Hit fake smash balls, always picks the auto scrolling stages, he just loves making everyone groan.

•Only thing that makes him visibly salty is Miu on stage select cause f**k yellow devil.

Kaito Momota

•A proud Rosalina main. A badass space princess that protects the stars, what’s not to love?

•First time they all play, they all expect him to suck..... so you can imagine their surprise he‘a one of the best players in the class, especially at edge guard

•Despite that, is the most susceptible to stage hazards and bad items, especially fake smash balls. He has gotten better at recovering from them though.

•Never asks anyone to turn them off though, cause it’s worth it for the black hole and the assist trophies.

•Whenever Kiyo plays Lucina, he makes sure to sit at the other end of the couch.

•Always tries to give people pointers, though since he really only plays one character he’s not the best at it.

•Will ALWAYS pick either the Mario Galaxy stage or the Star Fox stages

Tsumugi Shirogane

•Tends to pick Kirby for A, the cute hats, and B, it gives her an excuse to rant about the lore. You know those Kirby fans who obnoxiously push how the series is super deep? That’s Tsumugi.

•Rants the whole match, leading to people preferring Kokichi obnoxiously joining in on Kaede’s singing to it. •Knowing they’re not safe when she��s not playing either, they all agree that unless it’s random’s to never pick a Kirby stage or character (another reason for Shuichi to hide being a Dedede main)

•She’ll occasionally rant about other series too, but Kirby is the biggest example.

•Despite this, she’s actually a pretty good player, even if she can be a bit to sadistic with down special sometimes.

Kiibo

•Refuses to touch ROB or MegaMan to avoid falling into the stereotype of the robot playing the robots.

•Instead picks Pyra and Mythra cause they’re great characters with a bit of computer theme that only Tsumugi knows about mercifully hasn’t ranted on yet.

•Plays very predictably, but just because you know a Lightning Buster- Prominence Revolt is coming doesn't mean blocking it is easier.

•As such is usually in the middle of the pack tournament wise. •Refuses to use side B as Pyra because one time he did and Kokichi did a stupid combo which took him from 30% to death so he’s not taking any chances again.

•Tends to put The stage on random, which he occasionally regrets if he rolls a side scroller.

Himiko Yumeno:

•Mains ALL the magic users. •Robin, Zelda, Hero, Sephiroth, so long as they have a big focus on magic she’s all in.

•Tends to use Hero the most, specifically Eight, because she likes the MP gauge.

•Despite seemingly never practicing and only doing okay with most moves, is the fastest thing in the freaking world at picking the right spell. If she gets magic burst or Kamikaze, prepare to die.

•Everyone assumes she’s probably played Dragon Quest cause of this, but she hasn’t confirmed and just chalks her skill up to magic.

•The only one who can make Tenko stop raging.

•Keeping with the theme, will usually pick the World Tree stage.

Maki Harukawa

•Messed around with everyone a bit but was only super good as Zero Suit Samus.

•Even then she’s mostly middle of the pack, but she doesn’t mind too much.

•Unless she looses to Kokichi, then it’s a struggle for Kaito and Kirumi to stop her from killing him.

•Tends to handle snacks cause Kirumi has to be in the room to keep order and she usually gets knocked out early. •The most frequent subject of Kaito’s tips, which range from helpful to ”Kaito I don’t have a f**king Luma”

•Tends to pick Shadow Moses island cause she likes the look, and though she won’t tell anyone she loves the music

So I saw a The Good Place AU on ao3, rewatched the show and I had so many ideas for a different take on it like seriously !

So here's a bunch of the ideas I had bc I'm losing my mind at this

First of all : Warning, there's gonna be spoilers of season 1 and probably 2 of the show, please go watch it it's so good and funny.

So all the class are residents, except Tsumugi and Kiibo. Kiibo is the equivalent of Janet. Welcome to The Good Place, yaddy yaddy, except there are 3 bad apples : Ryoma, Maki and Kokichi.

Each one of them are given an identity that isn’t theirs and they’re trying to pull it off, for a while at least. When the day after their arrival chaos happen and they find themselves the only one without the “emergency suit”, Ryoma decide to tell Tsumugi and Kiibo, but Maki and Kokichi saw that he was a fraud too and kept him from giving himself away, because right now Tsumugi and Kiibo don’t know what’s causing all the chaos, but if Ryoma gives himself away, is sent to The Bad Place but chaos is still happening, they will know the other two are here. Ryoma ask them what’s their plan then, which Maki says they try to blend in. Try to BE good people. Kokichi doesn’t believe one bit of this but act like he does to convince Ryoma. And so begin their journey to becoming good people.

But it turns out that trying to be a good person isn’t necessary instinctual for them, Ryoma is the one doing well but oh boy the other two are messes. Maki keeps menacing other people and her polite smile is so forced even Gonta knows it’s fake. Kokichi just keeps making pranks on the other residents because there’s no harm in a little prank (he just had problem adjusting to this new group and hates that he likes some of them so he pranks them so they get away from him and he doesn’t have to be vulnerable around them.)

Ryoma ends up sitting them down after a few days and telling them they need help. So they debate about who would be the best fit. They end up with Korekiyo, mostly because he studies human and they guess moral are part of humen so maybe he knows the best way to be a good person, plus the guy is lonely most of the time, doesn’t gossip and creepily study and takes note of the other residents.

They ask him and he accepts. He takes it as a new way to study human behaviour in a field he didn’t specialize during his life. (btw, here the characters are aged-up, they’re in their 20s so they can have more Life Knowledge:TM:). They chose to meet up at Korekiyo’s house to study because his soulmate, Tenko, hates his gut and never comes to visit; while the other three have way too caring soulmates that comes to visit them on a daily basis (Kaito being the more insistant, Gonta and Kirumi try to respect their personal boundaries but still, the gang doesn’t want to be interrupted by them, so at Korekiyo’s it is.

A little more about Tenko and Korekiyo. When Tsumugi introduced them to each other, Tenko was out of her mind. First, she’s a lesbian, second, she finds Korekiyo super creepy and has a bad feeling about him, worst than all other degenerate male she ever met (nevermind the fact that she says this every time she meets a new guy). Korekiyo is also unpleased by this arrangement, mainly because she’s a bit much for him. Tsumugi says soulmates aren’t always romantic, they can also take form in a strong companionship. Both are still skeptical when she leaves and basically avoid each other. Korekiyo also asked Tsumugi about other neighboorhood and if visiting is possible, since he would like to see his sister.

(Little point here, I doubt Korekiyo might be a serial killer here, he might have thought about it but never acted on it. He’s still pretty fucked up by the abuse his sister made him go through, but he also doesn’t recognise it as abuse yet, part of his character arc would be to come to term with that)

So ! The teaching is... Sure going. Korekiyo is good at teaching the theory but oh boy if he doesn’t suck at practice. They’re sure learning, but it’s still a trainwreck and Ryoma is the only reasonnable person in this house. They need a person who is a good person naturally, and wouldn’t go tell Tsumugi their situation...

Yeah they take a look at Gonta and it’s settled. The man is way too nice to everyone and “a true gentleman never tells friends secret to others !”. They thought about Angie for a moment, she seems nice with everyone and alwyas organise parties or artistic activities to unite everyone together, but she’s close friend with Tenko and Himiko so they doubt she would let Korekiyo hang out with her friends.

Gonta is not the best teacher. He tries his best, but even though he is nice and try his best to help everyone, he is also incredibly naive and can be mislead to do bad things pretty easily, which is what Kokichi proves within the first day his soulmate agrees to help them. They basically have a Insect Meet and Greet. Once Gonta understands he hurt his friends, he’s pretty sad and isolate himself. Ryoma would probably come talk to him. Gonta talks about how he didn’t act like a gentleman and he regrets it, which leads to a conversation about why he wants so badly to be a gentleman and their past life. Ryoma mentions how he didn’t have anything to live for back on earth, no family, no friends, no lovers. Gonta says he’ll make sure he does now, which makes Ryoma laugh. They grow closer after that, Gonta trying to spend more time with him.

Meanwhile, Kokichi is onto something. Since he arrived here, he felt like something was wrong. Tsumugi keeps saying they have no idea what’s causing all the chaos and there’s no way someone got here by accident ? Three frauds in one go ? That’s not right. So he investigates, everyone. Their past, their actions, their words, he wants to know everything and understand what is really this place. He doesn’t trust anyone. So he used the Insect Meet and Greet to find more info while everyone is busy. That’s when he’ll cross path with Shuichi, because he sneaked into his and Kaede’s house. Shuichi become suspicious of him from there on and they develop a kind of rivalry where Shuichi knows Kokichi is up to something but doesn’t know what, and Kokichi likes to mess with him. He also likes to mess with Kiibo to ask them a myriad of questions about everything and nothing.

Kokichi : Hi Kiiboy !

Kiibo : Not a boy, but hi (bc hell yes nb Kiibo and maybe this whole thing was based of my want to write this dialogue down, but who knows really)

MEANWHILE, Maki ends up hiding with Kaito who has been trying to talk to her for a while and now she can’t leave him because there are insects everywhere outside. They sit there for a while, Kaito trying to start a conversation, but getting frustrated because she doesn’t talk back until they both lash out. Maki insists she doesn’t want to make friends, especially with him and not on the basis of them being soulmates or whatever. She adds that he doesn’t want to be friend with her, trust her. He asks why but she doesn’t answers. So he starts all over again, straighten up and introduce himself again. “Name’s Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars and totally not your soulmate.” She sniggers and introduce herself. They chit-chat for a bit and once the insects are gone, they leave. They say goodbye and Maki avoids him a bit less after this.

The day after the Insect Meet and Greet, Kokichi arrive at Korekiyo’s home earlier than the others. He brags about how much of a shame it is that Gonta won’t work with them anymore, really it’s too bad. Except that when Ryoma arrives with Gonta in toe, his eyes are the size of saucers. In the days following, Kokichi still tries to use Gonta and make the giant hate him, which is slowly irritating Ryoma. He asks him why he keeps trusting Kokichi after everything he’s done, but Gonta says he believes Kokichi can become a good person, it’s actually the point of everything they’re doing. After a while Kokichi expends his pranks to the other frauds and Shuichi. That’s when it clicks for Korekiyo who goes to talk to him in private. He tries to ask him why he’s trying to get everyone who is close to him into hating him. Kokichi denies everything, just says it’s fun. Korekiyo just tells him it’s not doing him any good and they won’t hurt him if he let them get closer. He still prank them all, but it’s less mean.

There is also a point where the group wonder if Miu isn’t a fraud too because of her loud mouth. She’s super annoyed by the automatic swear words blocker. She’s so loud and don’t get along at all with her soulmate Himiko who finds her exhausting.

Also at some point, after Korekiyo began to understand that he was abused by his sister, Tsumugi reaches out to him. She give him a letter from his sister. She tells him visiting is not authorised yet, but she managed to negotiate postal communication just for him. He doesn’t take it well. At all. He has a mental breakdown, having flash-back and being terrorised of what to do with this letter. He doesn’t leave his home anymore and doesn’t answer to anybody, the group can’t have class with him. Everyone is getting worried and ends up asking Tenko for helps. They don’t really think he’ll talk to her but they really tried everything else. Himiko slides a word in their favor and Tenko agrees. She goes to the house, knocks and tells him to open. He doesn’t. She stays in front of the door for a while. After a few hours, Korekiyo finally asks what she wants. She says she wants to make sure he’s not dying or something. He says she heard his voice so now she knows he’s not dead, she can leave. But she doesn’t. She asks him to open the door, that it’s typical degenerate male behavior to lock themselves up and not face their emotions. She’s about to say he’s an idiot for making everyone worry like that, but the words die in her throat as the door opens and she sees her soulmate. He’s a mess. He lets her in. He sits down on the floor, she follows. After a few minutes she asks what’s going on. He tells her about how he recently found out what he always believed was false and maybe someone he cares a lot about actually hurt him a lot. He talks about his sister, about what he thought. He says he was wrong but don’t go in the details, he can’t for now. He cries and lose his composure again, which rings a billion alarms and raise his sister voice in his mind. Tenko instinctively reach her hand out and tries to stroke his hairs in a reassuring paterms. After a while, he calms himself and show her the letter, tells her he doesn’t know what to do. She takes it, rise to her feet and help him up. She goes to the chimney, light up a fire and give him back to him. “You don’t have to worry about this if it doesn’t exist anymore”. He let it falls into the flames and they both watch it burns until they are only ashes left.

Korekiyo still needs some time, but he slowly let the other back. Tenko also go to talk to Tsumugi, telling her to cut the postal communication thing. She seems disapointed but agrees.

After that they both start to get better. Tenko slowly try to have a better view on guys, she understands maybe not all of them are bad, like all women are perfect. Korekiyo is slowly opening up to others, slowly trying to move on from the abuse. It’s slow, for both of them, Tenko stops calling guys degenerate, but keeps the male, Korekiyo drops the hat, but keep the rest of the uniform. They’re making progress and supporting each other in little ways.

Maybe the cast of Danganronpa 2 can be the demons (you know bc of Ultimate despair and all, and maybe the survivors of the game can be the demons that would end up agreeing with the humans) but I didn’t thought too much on this.

ANYWAY that’s a few things in my mind. If some of you are interested I’ll probably answer questions about it or post more if I have ideas. Maybe draw, who knows ! Hope some of you liked my ideas

Danganronpa V3 boys and their SHSL Survivalist friend/SO

Instead of sitting around waiting for a request I’ve decided to take it upon myself to take hold of my fate and kick off this blog with an imagine and one-shot. This is the imagine. I hope you enjoy.

Shuichi Saihara:

· A person who practices outdoor survival skills as a sport or hobby. Shuichi first met such a person through Kaito who had eagerly dragged them into those nightly training sessions as well as Maki. Though their idea of “training” was certainly something to behold. Pushups - nah, they’d suggest rock climbing. Pull-ups - Nope, swimming against a river’s current was much more enticing. Communication and talking, sure, as long as it was done on a camping trip to the woods where no one brought any supplies. Thankfully, such training rarely happened, but when it did it was always the most excruciating exercise Shuichi ever had.

· Funny thing though. Outside of training the Survivalist always spent time with Shuichi. Asking if he was feeling alright, or if his muscles were sore. If he were hurting, even the smallest, slightest bit, they’d carry him over their shoulder to the nurse’s office despite his flustered protests.

· They even had taken interest in his work, offering their assistance. For infidelity cases they taught Shuichi how to sneak around and follow people without them knowing as if they were out hunting. They showed Shuichi how to find animal tracks even in the most unlikely of places for his missing pet cases.

· When it came to cold cases or cases that didn’t involve physical activity Shuichi would sit with the Survivalist by his side, explaining the case and how to connect evidence and statements to reveal the truth. When they struggled Shuichi would go step by step, leading them gently through critical thinking processes ‘till they finally arrived at a logical conclusion, even if it weren’t his own. In fact, seeing how others could view the case helped Shuichi broaden his own skills as a detective.

· Overall, the Super High School Level Detective and Super High School Level Survivalist balanced out one another nicely, teaching the other skills the former lacked.

Kaito Momota:

· “Survivalist, huh... Well I bet they never survived the vastness of space before!” With that thought in mind Kaito sought out the Super High School Level Survivalist. Surely, they’d make for a great training partner! After all, Kaito had to go through survivalist training himself to be an astronaut. And surely the Ultimate Survivalist would take interest in surviving the greatness of space! They just had to train with him! And if not, then Kaito would just convince them, he was Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars, he’d figure out something!

· Unsurprisingly, said Survivalist was nowhere to be found. Luckily some students from their class knew where the Survivalist was training. England’s Wychwood Forest. Great! With the help of Rantaro, off Kaito went...

· What Kaito made up for in raw determination, he lacked in foresight, not having researched anything about the forest so he... he didn’t know the place was also called “The world’s most haunted forest”

· And that was how the Ultimate Survivalist found the Ultimate Astronaut, screaming at every little noise... even the sound of his own screaming.

· Not the best first impression, but Kaito was quickly able to brush it off and finally train with the Survivalist, but... just not in a forest.

· The Survivalist and Kaito got along like two peas in a pod, especially after Kaito saw how the Survivalist looked after his sidekick Shuichi. Every moment spent together was called ‘training’, dedicated to getting stronger in any sense of the word. Even simply laying on some cool grass in the dead of night racing to spot navigational stars first was training. Everything they did together was a friendly competition of sorts, pushing each other to be better.

· On one such night between rounds of star searching Kaito actually pried his gaze from that beloved mysterious expanse that loomed above him. Instead he glanced to his side, in that moment, realizing the person beside him was one he simply couldn’t see not beside him when he finally blasts off away from this planet.

Ryoma Hoshi:

· Ryoma didn’t think much of the Super High School Level Survivalist at first. Ryoma never went out of his way to meet others, and with his reputation of being a convicted criminal not many approached him. So, when the Ultimate Survivalist eagerly approached him, he was quite surprised.

· “You must teach me THAT, whatever THAT was!” Not knowing how to respond, Ryoma simply stared, dumbfounded. “The thing you did when dodging that attack!”

· Moments prior Ryoma had successfully dodged one of Kokichi’s pranks. “Ah, the Shukuchi Method.” He didn’t even think about it. Though it had been so long since he had used it, it seems that method was still muscle memory... When was the last time he used that method? Back when he played tennis...he knew that, but...

· Ryoma was abruptly snapped from his thoughts, seeing those lively, sparkling eyes. “Shukuchi Method? That’s what it’s called? Please, you have to teach me!”

· And thus, began the Survivalist’s escapades in trying to convince Ryoma to teach them. Wherever Ryoma went, Survivalist followed, much like how a duckling would. For the first day of this they’d ask Ryoma to teach, to which he’d decline, to which Survivalist threatened to follow him around till he agreed to do so. And that they did. They were the first person Ryoma met in the morning and the last person he saw at night.

· When asked why they wanted to learn so badly, the Survivalist listed off application after application they could see using the method to improve their own talent.

· After the first day though, the Survivalist occasionally asked to be taught, but also just asked Ryoma other questions, such as for his name. Then day after day, they’d just talk. And with each day, less and less would the Survivalist ask about the Shukuchi Method. Till they never mentioned it even once. Even after weeks, and months.

· “... If I taught you the Shukuchi Method, would you leave me alone?” With a confused expression the Survivalist looked to Ryoma, who was stoic as always, yet... the tone in his voice was off somehow. Did it waver? “No, you’re my friend now! You can’t get rid of me that easily. Sorry Ryoma, but you’re stuck with me for the long run.” A light chuckle escaped the man. Truthfully, Ryoma felt guilt for not having taught Survivalist long ago, for unintentionally stringing them along and for them being with a guy like himself, yet... it was nice always having someone around.

Rantaro Amami:

· Rantaro had actually met the Survivalist long before either were invited to Hope’s Peak. On his many adventures searching for his sisters they bumped into one another. They ran into each other many times actually. Each time the Survivalist would guide Rantaro through any terrain, searching for whatever small town Rantaro was looking for and Rantaro would buy them a big hearty meal that was heavenly compared to the plain fish and berries they had grown so accustomed too. Then after that meal they’d go their separate ways till they met again several months later on complete accident.

· When they did find each other at Hope’s Peak, it was quite odd. They weren’t huddled close in snowy mountains, they weren’t trudging through a humid rain forest trying to fend off the many bugs, they weren’t even dragging one another through some desert! They were just at a relatively safe and peaceful school with other people.

· It was nice being able to chat for hours on end of their old adventures together. Survivalist would tease Rantaro for not having gotten muscular even with how much traveling he did and Rantaro would tease Survivalist for how socially awkward they tended to be, having not spent too much time in human society. This lighthearted teasing managed to subdue the stagnant air about them. Even without the thrill of danger around every corner they still found joy and comfort in the other’s company. It was a relief to them realizing their friendship was able to run much deeper than merely the thrill of exploration they often experienced with the other.

· But that didn’t mean the thrill of adventure wasn’t missed, so whenever Rantaro left the school to go searching once more, he was sure to tell his best friend and companion, and they stuck by his side for every last excursion, now not daring to leave him ever.

Gonta Gokuhara:

· The moment Gonta saw the Survivalist, Gonta knew they’d be great friends. They were being kind to bugs! When the giant wild looking man came charging at the Super High School Level Survivalist, they almost crushed the poor cricket they had just helped escape from being trampled in the noisy classroom.

· From that day onward Gonta happily introduced his new friend to his bug companions and even invited them to his lab. With how kind Gonta was the Survivalist couldn’t refuse his offers, though they did fear the man. If he found out the Survivalist had to resort to eating the relatives of such beloved companions on occasion... The Survivalist never dared to finish the thought and focused instead on not accidently mentioning that the particular species of stink bug Gonta was so happily showing off was delicious, tasting like apples.

· With each visit to the lab or escapade out bug hunting the Survivalist found an appreciation for the little creatures outside of nutrition. Many were quite pretty actually. And seeing the variety of inventive ways bugs adapted to harsh environments tugged at the Survivor’s heart strings, realizing how they themselves were quite similar to them in that aspect.

· Though it may sound strange Gonta saw his and the Survivalist’s relationship to be symbiotic, like that of the ant and aphid. The ant, the Survivalist, would protect Gonta, the aphid, who in return for the protection provided food - knowledge of insects.

· From what did the Survivalist protect Gonta from one might wonder.

· Homesickness. Even with his beloved insects around, often times, he found himself missing living outside of human society and with his forest family. But the Survivalist reminded Gonta so much of home. Though they weren’t a wolf or lizard person, they had that...for lack of a better word, calm wildness. Like Gonta for much of their life they lived outside of human society and being able to speak with someone about his home and they truly understood what he was speaking of...knowing Gonta had a connection with a person like that always pulled his lips into a smile.

· So, whenever the Survivalist left for an adventure with Rantaro, it hurt, but seeing them return with a bug case in hand, some new insect friends they had made on their trip, it filled Gonta with unimaginable joy.

Kokichi Oma:

· Ah, the entrance ceremony, a staple of High Schools all across Japan. The time where all the new students gather and listen to the principle and others of authority welcome them all with open arms! A rather boring event, but one that could easily be livened up. And what better way than to greet his new classmates than pranking everyone all at once with fireworks and paint! Though enacting such a plan would take time, lots of time. So, for several days before the ceremony he prepared.

· Unfortunately, on one such day Kokichi was caught by some security near where the ceremony was to take place, a place none of the students were allowed, and so, a chase ensued.

· As Kokichi dashed down hall after hall he took a sharp turn around the corner, crashing into someone. Perfect. Kokichi flipped on the water works, crying out, saying the mean guards were chasing after him for no reason at all and how he oh so badly needed help! And help the person did, hiding Kokichi and telling the guards they hadn’t seen him. With the guards gone Kokichi stepped out of his hiding place and thanked the person, now he could get back to preparing!

· The person quickly left but took a moment to glance over their shoulder. A strained smirk emerged on their lips as a stifled laughter manage to seep out. They wished Kokich good luck with ‘catching his prey’.

· Soon after the day of entrance ceremony came, and it was marvelous! Well, except for one thing, that person who helped Kokichi, the Ultimate Survivalist, managed to avoid the prank! Now this will not stand. And so Kokichi dedicated himself to giving them the greatest scare and laugh of their life in retaliation!

· ... Or so he thought. No matter what he pulled, they managed to outmaneuver him! Exploding school supplies? Nah, moment they picked it up, they threw it out the window. Fill their classroom with laughing gas? Nope, they always left the room moments before his trap went off. How were they doing this!?It was as if they knew it was going to happen...wait.

· Well he got his answer one afternoon when he tried to tackle the Survivalist from behind with joy buzzers under his clothes. They dodged his attack much to his chagrin. “Survivalist! Why are you so mean to me!? I just want a hug.” Seeing those crocodile tears come cascading down the Supreme Leader’s cheeks they decided to speak out. “I’ve played the role of both predator and prey many times. I always keep a close eye on my environment, even if it means crawling through the vents at night.” Kokichi blinked, the tears instantly disappearing. “Huh...Not gonna lie, getting that out of you was much easier than I expected. I didn’t even have to prod at you at all.” “No decent predator would not have noticed my skill level at this game by now, so I decided to just save you the trouble of confirming your suspicion. I found all your traps before you got to set them off. And now, this game can really begin! So, catch me Oma! I want to know what truly being caught off guard in one of your surprises is like! I’m sure it must be thrilling!” Oh, this was going to be fun, especially when Kokichi finally wins.

· Every day thereafter was filled with excitement and suspense. Especially days when nothing happened and all they did was talk. Both in this game of cat and mouse trying to outsmart the other with everything they had! Never knowing what was to come next, they were always on their toes, one searching for opportunities and the other searching for any sign of an attack, both adding lulls into the action making the next attack more thrilling. Even when Kokichi did win, the game continued. After all, even if he won once didn’t mean he could get consistent results. Besides, he saw no reason why he would take away an excuse to spend time with such a fun person.

Korekiyo Shinguji:

· It all started when Kiyo entered his lab one morning, finding one of his artifacts was missing. Though very concerning, his attention was focused on the small note that was left in it’s place. ‘Go to the track’ it read. There he found another note instructing him to jog around the mile-long track twice. For the time being he decided to play along, curious as to the intentions of the person behind these notes. When he finished a new note had appeared, instructing him to go to the cafeteria where there was a meal being prepared for him. Once he was there another note was with his meal telling him to return to his lab, where his artifact had been returned... Quite an intriguing person to put Korekiyo through all that. What could their aim be, he wondered. Little did he know he’d learn that the very next day.

· Like the day prior one of his artifacts were missing and a note was in its place. Once again, he was led to a location, told to do an exercise, but something different happened. As he was doing some push-ups, someone approached him. “You’re doing it all wrong.” Kneeling beside him they moved him so everything was in proper place saying there was no point in this if he was just not going to do it properly.“Ah,theUltimateSurvivalist.Soyou’vebeentakingmyartifacts.”He then gestured to the note they held. “...I didn’t know how else to get you to leave your lab, you never leave the place.” “Well, now that you’re here, why are you having me do this?” “You look like a twig! How do you not break in the wind!? You need help! I didn’t think my word would be enough to convince you so, I held one of your precious items hostage.”

· And that was how Korekiyo began doing light exercises with the Survivalist. Exercising was not Kiyo’s forte but getting the chance to converse with a person who had minimum contact with society intrigued him to no end. And he got them to speak of their travels, and the many remote places they had gone to. With each location spoken of, Kiyo added knowledge of the history of the region. Particularly he spoke of legends of warriors since those intrigued the Survivalist the most. On occasion they even tried recreating some, like the labors of Hercules or legends of Beowulf or the adventures of Fionn mac Cumhaill.

· Their friendship was very unlikely, even chaotic at times when recreating myths went awry, but it was always fun and fascinating. A friendship neither would trade for the world.

Kiibo:

· Though it was not often Kiibo had the chance to speak to them, he held great admiration for the Super High School Level Survivalist. He always saw them moving and running around the campus almost nonstop. They were always looking for ways to get better, asking others to teach them like Ryoma with his Shukuchi Method. They seemed to stop for nothing!

· Even the most unlikely of things they did to improve. Kiibo learned this when one day he was passing by the Ultimate Light Music Club Member’s lab and saw the Survivalist singing with a microphone in hand as the owner of the lab wailed away on her guitar. All too quickly their session had come to an end, and Kiibo was caught staring. The Survivalist swiftly skipped up to him before he had the chance to leave.

· “You wanna give singing a shot Kiibo?” “Ah, no I couldn’t. My singing is lacking, dangerous as Shuichi puts it. Even if I practiced it wouldn’t get better. I want to improve, but I can’t. The only way I can, would be with help from someone like Miu or Dr. Idabashi. I...I am a robot I can never improve myself on my own but you can! I find that to be an amazing ability, but even more so is how you work so hard for that.” “Really!? I wish I was like you, Kiibo!” That comment caught the robot off guard. “Kiibo once you get an improvement you get to keep it forever! If I took a break for even one day my muscles and body would lose some of the improvement I had gained yesterday or even more. I have to constantly push myself lest my skills and body get rusty from lack of use for even a short time, and getting back to the high proficiency I was at before would be extremely difficult. The human body is ridiculously temperamental while you don’t have to worry about such things. And I even have to focus on specific parts and not just my whole body, like singing to increase lung capacity. And Kiibo the improvements you can gain are limited only by the imagination while the human body was much more restrictive. You can be so much greater than me or anyone else at this school!”

· That day changed a lot of things for Kiibo. It got him to be able to see his existence from a slightly different perspective, even if only for a moment. And after that day the Survivalist would approach him, asking him if he would spot them during their exercises. During these times they and Kiibo would try to come up with ideas to improve his body. They would come up with ideas to improve their exercise regimen. They’d throw out any idea at one another, no matter how ridiculous or impracticable. In the end all that really mattered was the thought behind it, wishing to help the other even in the simplest of forms. No matter how simple they wanted to help. Even if it was just Kiibo cheering on the Survivalist to push on through one more lap than they did yesterday. Even if it was just the Survivalist sitting by Kiibo’s side as he was getting a maintenance check. No matter how simple, or insignificant if seemed, they ended up supporting the other in any way they could, hoping that in doing so the other could at least get a glimpse at just how great they could be because the former certainly could see it, and they would both agree that the other was absolutely amazing and filled with endless possibilities. They just needed to see it and they were the one who was going to show that to them.

Rantaro Amami (Idol):

He put a lot of thought into his appearance.

He had to, to stay successful.

But he really did love performing.

Kaede Akamatsu (Soldier):

She didn’t seem much like a soldier.

But she could definitely hold her own.

She was actually a little intimidating.

Ryoma Hoshi (Baseball Star):

He’d distanced himself from his talent.

That was no longer him.

...He almost missed it.

Kirumi Tojo (Programmer):

Her projects are usually under wraps.

She’s not keen on sharing the details.

They all mean a lot to her.

Angie Yonaga (Biker Gang Leader):

She definitely doesn’t seem like it.

But if you get on her bad side…

Well. There’s no going back.

Tenko Chabashira (Moral Compass):

She always sticks to the rules.

But she can try a bit hard to get others to do the same.

It’s just to uphold their honor!

Korekiyo Shinguji (Fanfic Creator):

He’s a bit more lowkey about his talent.

Though he’ll talk about it to anyone who listens.

He works hard on his projects.

Miu Iruma (Gambler):

She’s never lost a bet.

She knows when to quit.

And she always shows up with fighting words.

Gonta Gokuhara (Martial Artist):

He was definitely physically intimidating.

But he didn’t often show off.

He was pretty friendly.

Kokichi Ouma (Fashionista):

He actively enjoyed modeling.

He was a regular trendsetter!

It was a lot of fun.

Kaito Momota (Lucky Student):

His luck was only average.

But that didn’t affect his outlook on life.

Optimism was still key!

Kiibo (Detective):

He dedicated himself to his cases.

He enjoyed serving justice.

A lot of them were actually easy.

Tsumugi Shirogane (Affluent Progeny):

She grew up privileged.

She tried not to be stuck-up, though.

After all, she wanted to be liked.

Shuichi Saihara (Literary Prodigy):

He wrote a lot.

In a span of days, he could full entire notebooks.

It was calming for him to do.

Maki Harukawa (Clairvoyant):

She didn’t often use her talent.

It wasn’t very accurate.

But sometimes she did, out of curiosity.

Himiko Yumeno (Swimming Pro):

She always loved the water.

And she was so fast!

It took a lot of her energy, though.

Gonta Gokuhara

Gonta didn't understand why you seemed a little upset whenever he hung out with his classmates with you.

You were insecure. There were a lot of kind students in his class who were way more talented than you, and even though you trusted Gonta, you were still a little afraid that he would fall for one of the other boys

(Or girls of course. Gonta was pansexual, and all the girls in his class seemed pretty and nice too)

You, Gonta, and a few of his friends (Oma, Saihara, Hoshi, and Shinguji) went out to eat one night together at a little diner

You were honestly getting anxious as they all talked about things oriented around their talents

Ryoma had gotten back into tennis after his long break, Shuichi had a new case he was working on, which Kokichi seemed to know way too much about, and Korekiyo had just gotten back from a trip.

As they all chatted about what they were amazing at, you were just silent

What did you really have to talk about that was just as cool as their misadventures?

So you stared at the floor until Gonta suddenly tapped your shoulder. Ryoma had gone out for a smoke break, Shuichi was absorbed in his notes, Korekiyo was in the bathroom, and Kokichi was Lord knows where

"(Y/N)? You look upset… did I do something wrong?" He looked at you with his big puppy dog eyes.

"You didn't do anything wrong… I just… don't feel like my topics are interesting? You're all ultimates and I'm just… me…"

"You are just you!" Gonta said joyfully "and Gonta just Gonta, and Ryoma is just Ryoma, and Kokichi is just Kokichi and-"

You cut him off. "No, that's not what I mean. I mean… I'm not special. You and your friends have so much status and skill and-"

"But that doesn't matter, Love bug"

It always made you bashful when he called you by that nickname

"Really?"

He nodded and kissed your forehead.

When the others came back, Gonta brought you into the conversation and got you talking

At first you were nervous, yet your worries melted as you got more involved in the conversation.

You just became one of the guys. Whether or not they were ultimates didn't matter.

When you all started to leave after eating, you overheard Saihara talking to his friend over the phone

"Yeah, I met Gontas' boyfriend. He really seems like a good fit for him, but I'm not great at romance… Either way, it's clear Gonta loves him."

That made you feel a lot more confident. That an ultimate thought you and Gonta were a good pair

Then again, Gonta was right. It didn't matter if they were ultimates or not.

Kiibo (K1-B0)

One of his friends, Miu, had been hanging around recently. She was the ultimate inventor, and was working on a big upgrade for Kiibo

You were starting to feel jealous about all the time he spent with her and not you.

You didn't think he would cheat or anything, it was just lonely without him.

But Kiibo couldn't tell. He was sort of oblivious to human emotions. It wasn't his fault, but that didn't make it hurt any less.

Miu had set up a makeshift workshop in your room, because "Kiibos charging port was in there anyway"

Schoolwork was piling up, too. You found yourself working until you fell asleep on the couch.

You were lonely, stressed, and, to be honest, starting to get paranoid that Miu really had stolen your lover's metallic heart.

One day during studying you just cracked.

You broke down in tears, shaking.

You couldn't help it. You choked out Kiibos name.

"(Y/N?)" You heard him call.

"Wait I'm still working!" Miu called. He got up anyway and went to your side.

He put a cold hand on your back, accidentally causing a jolt of electricity.

"Sorry… Miu was working and wasn't fully done but I wanted to make sure you were-"

"I wish I could be like Miu," you said suddenly.

He went quiet in confusion.

"Like you or Miu or your classmates… ultimate robot, ultimate inventor, ultimate detective, ultimate magician… ultimate, ultimate, ultimate" you sobbed

"All I'm good at is being painfully average"

"That's not true!" Kiibo said quickly. "You're very special, to me at least…"

"I feel so lonely"

He went quiet. "Oh…"

Every time he touched you it shocked you. "Miu needs to fix that… it happened when she was working on the upgrades."

"How much longer?"

"Tomorrow, hopefully… I would hug you but I don't want to shock you…"

You managed a weak smile. "Thank you"

You heard him walking off, and then silence.

You managed to fall asleep after a while, and when you woke up, you were in bed.

Kiibo was holding you close in his arms, radiating a warm heat.

"Kiibo?"

"You're up? Morning" Kiibo responded. "Miu finished with her updates… I hope you don't mind, but my side of the bed is a charging port now… So we can sleep in the same bed together" he was going red.

"Really? You did those updates for me?"

He nodded slowly

You started to cry as he rubbed your back and started to radiate more heat.

You would never say it, but you were definitely jealous of the luminary of the stars

Even if only a little bit

You knew about what he had done to become an ultimate, and it made the jealousy increase

It normally was something you could keep under control. It must have taken a lot of talent to fool such a strict system, so he deserved getting in anyway, right?

One day he was ranting about his schoolwork and something in you just broke.

"Just… Stop… I know that you're an ultimate, Kaito. Please just stop talking about it" you muttered

He went. It was shocking for him to see you so upset all the sudden.

You started to cry suddenly. "I'm sorry… I'm being so mean" you whimpered.

"Don't be sorry." He said softly, putting a hand on your back.

He really cared about you, and didn't realize he had brought you over the edge.

"Hey, hey. It's getting dark out, how about we stargaze?"

You smiled and nodded.

Kokichi Ouma

Like with everyone else, Ouma would tease you a lot

Often, he would tease you about being a reserve course student.

You often would throw back a snarky reply to please him.

He didn't actually realize it hurt you.

One day after a particularly tiring shift at work, he threw a remark towards you.

"Hey, hey hey! How was your job?" Kokichi was hanging upside down on the couch. "Why can't you parents just pay for you, like how they paid for Hope's Peak for you?"

Normally, you would ignore it, but today you just couldn't.

You went uncomfortably quiet, clenching your fists and holding in tears as you marched into your room and closed the door

You flopped on the bed as the tears started to spill.

The door opened quietly.

"(Y/N)? The stuff I said about you… that was just a lie, ya know?"

You sobbed and shook your head.

"But you're right… I'm only here because of my stupid parents and their stupid money. That's the only reason I'm in Hopes Peak"

"(Y/N)?"

You didn't listen as you kept talking.

"I'm just a useless, talentless, reserve course student. I'm never going to get anywhere in life…"

"(Y/N)..."

"I'm just a dumb, privileged teen boy. I'm so stupid I'm so-"

"(Y/N)!" He pulled you into a tight embrace and kissed you as you cried.

"Hey, hey… you aren't just a nobody, (Y/N)"

"that's just a-"

"It's not a lie" his voice was so genuine.

You believed him this time.

"You know I love you, right? My boyfriend, my partner in crime, my best friend…"

He cupped your cheek as you nodded shakily.

"You know, you're my second in command for a reason. Because you're so smart. A lot smarter than a lot of the other ultimates."

You cuddled in silence for a while, until your boyfriend had to go.

Before leaving, he turned back to you with a stupid smirk

"Talentless reserve course student"

You stuck your tongue out at him

"Airhead ultimate"

Korekiyo Shinguji

A lot of reserve course students were victims of bullying, and you were one of them.

You knocked on your lovers door after school, sniffling. You knew he was home, ultimates could skip classes without much repercussions.

"Who is it?" You heard your lover ask from the other side of the door.

You sniffled softly and choked out a response. "Kiyo… it's me, (Y/N)."

He paused for a moment "oh, one moment" he sounded surprised to hear your cries.

He opened the door and wrapped his arms around you.

He wasn't big on hugs, so it definitely meant a lot.

"What's troubling you, my (Y/N)?"

You told him how some of the ultimates were harassing you, before you started sobbing so hard you couldn't speak

"Come here, sit down" he ushered you to the dining table and started to make you macha tea.

He set it down in front of you, sitting down across from you with a teacup of his own.

"How about I tell you another story, my love? Would that make you feel better?"

You nodded "I like your voice,…" you said between tears "it's comforting."

Heat rushed to his cheeks at the comment, but started to tell you about different Yokai, and what they reflected in society.

You listened as you drank your tea

"Kiyo?" You asked shakily as he finished talking about the futakuchi-onna.

"Can we cuddle? I-im sorry I know I'm being clingy but-"

"You aren't, dear. Let's go to my room"

He took your hand and guided you to his bed.

He wrapped you both up in blankets and pulled you on his lap.

"Can I-"

"You can play with my hair" he said before you could finish.

You smiled and ran your hands through his hair slowly. It was so soft and silky

It calmed you.

"You're so beautiful" he whispered in your ear.

"But… I'm not an ultimate" you mumbled

"And? Why would that make you any less beautiful?"

"I don't know but…"

He pulled down his mask and kissed you softly.

"You're an amazing boyfriend, (Y/N). Don't fret."

Rantaro Amami

Rantaro didn't remember his talent, so why would it matter to him if you were a reserve course student?

He knew it made you uncomfortable, so decided to simply not bring it up.

He would often have to leave for long periods of time, searching for his sisters.

When he did, he would bring you and his other friends tons of gifts

It felt like they often got similar things each time, linking back to their talents.

But you got an eclectic amount of gifts.

It felt nice that he thought if things you like that weren't just based on a title

"I found this owl shaped horn, and it reminded me of you" he said as you raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, it's interesting and cool! Isn't it?"

"Yeah, it is" you smiled and blew into it.

It made an owl like hoot.

He grinned at you, and you grinned back.

He suddenly pulled you into a hug

"I missed you, (Y/N)"

"Even though I'm not an ultimate like your friends?"

He frowned and kissed you softly.

"Of course."

Ryoma Hoshi

Ryoma was honestly jealous of you.

A lot of his problems started because of his ultimate.

He wished he could have been a normal guy like you, especially back in middle school...

But he would never tell you that

Not because he didn't trust you, but because he didn't want to remember her.

One day, you were both sitting on the couch, watching whatever stupid reality show that was on the TV.

You noticed something. All the people had their carriers or a defining part of their life under their name.

'Doctor, Mother, Soldier'

And then…

'Ex-student from Hope's Peak'

"I wish I could be an ultimate" you mumbled absently. "Once you're admitted to that school, you're set for life, huh? Fame, money, job opportunities…"

Ryoma suddenly grabbed the remote and turned off the TV.

"I wish I could stop being an ultimate" he muttered. He wasn't mad, not at all. Just crying to stop himself from crying.

"I'm sorry, Ryoma" you said softly. You knew when to stop.

"Can I… tell you about what happened?"

You always knew something happened. You knew your boyfriend was on death row at one point, but that his legal team had fought endlessly for him to be released on parole.

"Yeah, if it'd make you feel better, Ryoma"

He said everything, the tennis matches, the spell of anger before defeating his final appointment. The fear. Hiding. When she was found.

He broke down in tears. He couldn't help it, it was just too much to go back to.

You pulled him into a kind embrace and rubbed his back.

"I love you, (Y/N)" he sobbed softly. "You're a wonderful boyfriend. You're so great" he hiccuped.

It was rare for him to let his emotions out like this, and it was clear he had so much bundled up.

You held him close and kept comforting him.

It really meant the world to him.

Shuichi Saihara

You and Shuichi didn't talk much about him being an ultimate.

But it was definitely always on your mind

He had to work for hours on end on the most difficult cases due to his title as the Ultimate detective.

He'd work until he fell asleep at his desk. And then go right back to working.

It made you feel lonely.

It was like his title mattered more than his boyfriend.

One day when he was working, you wrapped your arms around him. "Shuichi? Could you please take a day off?" You mumbled softly in his ear.

He went red. "I would, but I'm-"

"So close to finishing that case, I know… but if you took a break and looked at it from a new perspective, I'm sure you'd get out of this rut"

He hesitated slightly.

"And I miss spending time with you"

That convinced him.

You both cuddled on the couch and put on a cheesy movie.

It was nice for him to take a day with his lover. He really needed that break
