SWYNRP Character Wishlist: A list of 10+ characters you’d like to see in the RP - Characters Mak wants to play edition

I need y’all to pick some of these characters up before I do pls

1. Lyria from Tinkerbell Fairies franchise with a Jodie Whittaker FC

So my idea for her is nothing like her skeleton but!!!! I love it so much!!!! Her app has been DONE for over two years!!!! I just need to find the right time get her.

2. Aphrodite from Hercules with an Anitta FC

So honestly this character is so well formed in my head. She’s from Avalor (our first Lusophone Avaloran, the rest are primarily Spanish-speakers), she was a Pachamama rebel fighter against the dictatorship before coming to Swynlake, and before the civil war was an actress and pop star! Her name is legit Afrodite bc that’s the Portuguese spelling of Aphrodite. I just wanna iron out a few things in her story before I get her.

3. Imelda Rivera from Coco possibly with a Coty Camacho FC

But I’d really want a Hector if I did so. But UGH I have an idea for herrrrr. She’s honestly such a Mak character

4. Vee Hauntley with a Chloe Hayden FC

And if I HC Vee is my immortal autistic honey like this awesome gorgeous smiley autistic FC? What of it?

5. Fairy Gary possible FCs include: Gao Weiguang, Ryan Gosling, Omar Metwally, , Ian Anthony Dale, Michiel Huisman

I think this would be SUCH a neat opportunity to play with the fairy lore we have regarding the family and how the one big family no-no is having children outside of your Promise. But I'd LOVE to play him with the character who is his illegitimate half-fairy half-human child around, and potentially with a character that's either his Actual wife and/or one that's his legitimate child bc THE DRAMAAAAA Y'ALL. Can be any characters already fairies or we can make characters fairies that aren't already! So if aaaaaanybody is at all interested in this plot, hit me up!!! Let's plot it!

6. Lady Rebekah Alhadeff from Elena of Avalor with a Joséphine Jobert FC

Look. I’m just a slut for Avalor, okay.

7. Rama from The Jungle Book with a Sendhil Ramamurthy FC or a Sidharth Malhotra FC depending on how old I made him

Okay so those of y’all around forever ago may remember when Kiara was here, I had Rama and Raksha with her. But tbh…I feel like that time around I came in at the middle of their story and I’d LOVE to take another crack at them from the start with someone! As either Rama OR Raksha! So I’m giving my top FC idea for both

8. Raksha from The Jungle Book with a Kriti Sanon FC possibly

9. Jasmine from Aladdin possibly with a Yasmine Al-Bustami FC?

I’m trash for worldbuilding! I created Avalor I’d get to create Agrabah! Eeeee!

10. Ember Lumen possible FC include: Song Yuqi, Zhao Lusi, Sun Zhenni, Pat Chayanit Chansangavej, Imada Mio, Uchinaga Aeri (Giselle), Komatsu Nana, Mint Ranchrawee, Prilly Latuconsina, Lee Sung-kyung, Kim Yong-ji

But I'd want at least one of her parents maybe too :3

Other VNs

In the vein of VNs I wish there were more w/w VNs since most I’ve read are M/F. But there has been one W/W one I read that I still love: Starlight Vega. There are four possible endings, one for each character and a harem ending.

I got it on sale, but it’s worth the full price too. Depending on how fast you read or if you skip the text you’ve already read if you go for different endings it can be anywhere from 9-15 hours. Each character is unique from the others and offer different angles of the same over-arching story. Even if you don’t care much for romancing one of the characters it’s still worthwhile to play through their route since you get more to the story that way.

They’re M/F VNs, but I also enjoyed Ace Academy (sci-fi) and Cinderella Phenomenon (female protagonist and love interests are cursed and the curses are based on fairytales).

There’s no love interests in this one as you play a character working for Big Brother, but Orwell was an intriguing read as you decide the fates of the lives of the people you’re watching by picking and choosing certain things they say to each other to report back to Big Brother. I’ve read mixed reviews on the second, Orwell: Ignorance is Strength and that the first is superior so I haven’t yet gotten around to playing the second.

If you guys have read any other VNs (romance-centric or not) that you enjoyed please feel free to recommend some!

The sad thought of the day is that I don't think Danchou's Dad would have a Sad Dad reaction to finding out his kid died. He would be more focused on the fact that the world almost ended. Considering the thoughts that we might have to fight him at the end, he's probably most concerned with 'Okay, I can't kill *child's name* or Lyria. But Vyrn..."

so before going on i must say i'm still at chapter 111 of the main story, so all of my knowledge about The Dad is ofc the abandonement, the letter, the fact he basically left Vyrn to take care of the kid, the vagues ominous stuff from Rosetta's memories, and ofc that he killed a primal beast. Oh and that he took care of Seox after the massacre and apparently talked lovingly about his child to Seox (even though Seox feels guilty as hell that he has spent more "dad-child" time with the Father than MC did)

so i'm taking what you say in a theory way and not with something i know of (i have to get back to read the main story but also please don't spoil me 🙏)

That being said i am not holding my breath on him being a good dad by any stretch. I could imagine being... maybe a little sad, but maybe more because an extension of him died (like i'm sorry but he hasn't seen his child in forever and the only way he's letting his child get back in contact with him is for the child to do the whole trip he was the first to be able to do? Feels much more likely to me that any "love" he has for Danchou is mostly a selfish type of extending his own view of himself on the child).

but i also agree that he'd be mostly concerned, or at least interested, in knowing about the end of the world's type scenario this would create. If he intends in the end to challenge this notion, or challenge us, then yeah Vyrn might become a much easier target.

Tbh even before this event i've only ever imaged the reunion with the dad as... sad. As something he didn't exactly expect you to do so he would either use it to bolster his ego or he will coward out because he realizes how much he missed on his child's life and he just "doesn't know" this kid. (tbh i just have the whole reunion of Gon with his father from Hunter x Hunter in my mind in term of this exact situation of "child go on a journey to find a dad they haven't seen in forever, and the flaws of the father catches up to realize the meeting is in fact, totally underwhelming". So i'm genuinely not holding my breath about it being a heartful thing especially with what's set up) (tbh x2 my wishlist for "reunion with dad" involves Seox in the crew at that moment getting pissed at the dad for dismissing Danchou and being the one getting extremely angry because he had idolated this man for such a long time and for what. Bonus if Rosetta joins in being angry about it).

So yeah. I'm not exactly thinking he'd be even a decent father upon hearing this scenario lol

11. What is your wishlist for the ToG show? (Ya know, if it ever happens.) Welp… I’ve sort of given up hope…. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ but if it does happen, I need a badass Aelin. The banter between Chaol, Dorian, and Aelin needs to be on point.  And while the Dorian/ Aelin ship should be included, I don’t want it to turn into a sappy tragic triangle thing…. 

12. Do you have any sjm-related tags blocked? Which ones? Why?  The only ones I have blocked are the anti tags…. for mental health reasons. lol I also block certain tags if a new book is coming out. I don’t want to be spoiled!! 

13. If there were a ToG spin-off book or series, what would you want it to focus on? (TWoToG doesn’t count.) OMG honestly… I want so many more books! I would love to get a better look at the witches.  Before the war… I want to see a young Manon and 13. And also what is in store for Manon post KoA.  I would also love if there was a book that focused on Aedion;s life after Aelin’s “death.” I want to read the adventures of the Bane!
