I also will not take requests for full length fanfic books. I come up with the ideas for those myself.

For those wondering about the Creep X Creep stuff, I genuinely don't think any of the creeps would make good couples. Same with MHA, I don't "ship" any of the characters I write for. Same with Maven X Canon. He's an ass to all of them, and Mare would never go back to him even reformed (imo).

I also don't know enough about how yandere characters work, so until I figure that how I won't write for it. Same with polyam; I myself am not poly and I feel I don't know enough about that to really write for it. Nothing against poly people of course.

I will typically keep anything PG gender neutral with no physical descriptors. In smut, I will write for both AMAB and AFAB readers so you must specify in your request along with the pronouns you want me to use. If you don't specify the pronouns, I'll use they/them. If you don't specify the sex, I can only write smut where the reader isn't receiving anything. Specifying could mean describing the parts they have in the request or using the pronouns as well.

So for the way I will write things is if you ask "(Male character) X female reader" I will not write it for a female reader, I will write it gender neutral. However, I will write wlw so if you ask "(Female character) x female reader" I will write it. I will write any character x male reader specifically because male readers dont get shit and even when we do a good bit of it is written by 13 year old girls who fetishize us (speaking from experience) and it's obvious; unless that is a lesbian character, I will write it with a male reader. This is again because female readers tend to get a lot more fanfiction written for them and its tiring for male readers, along with gn and trans readers too. Will I write specifically for trans women? Trans women barely get fics too, however if it's a request that doesn't have anything to do with what your agab (assigned gender at birth) is, then there's no reason for me to write it. You would be referred to and written like a cis woman would be. Smut is different, but I already talked about that.

For the creeps, I will eventually write out my basic HCs for all the ones I write for (basic as in age, name, height, likes, dislikes, etc.). It probably won't be any time soon so don't wait up on it LMAO. I'll probably do that for Stardew Valley and maybe Red Queen too. I'm not sure about any of my other fandoms yet.

Do you find that the negative way that the fandom, actors like Stan, and the writers treat the character of Sam Wilson, take away from your ability to enjoy the fandom at large?

So..... let's address this in pieces. As far as coping with fandom is concerned, I do not go to spaces where normie dude bro type fans are. I don't read YouTube comments. I don't do marvel reddit. Even before twitter was fash, I didn't do fandom there. Those people are not any more "real fans" than I am, and honestly a lot of them are genuinely thick idk.

There's only so many times you can read "his real name is Clarence" in one day lbr

On tumblr, I block people who post racist or aggressively obnoxious opinions. I block liberally, it really eases the mind.

There's been a drop in his popularity on here in the last few years for a few reasons. Some bigger fans have left the platform, or moved onto other fandoms so aren't engaging with much content. There's also the known phenomenon of the popularity of black characters (and ships involving them) having distinctly less longevity than white ones (famously discussed to death around the finn/poe thing and other ships). There's also the sheer length of time it's been since tfatws, and the call from bds to boycott the upcoming film.

The writers? This one is weird to me because in the 55 years since he was introduced, sam has had very little (as a proportion of his appearances) good writing, and when it is good it doesn't last. From the very beginning, his history is fraught and to this day the issue of many of those handling him giving zero shits about him is a self replicating problem. Complaining about sam being mishandled or underutilised is about 60% of this blog.

The beauty of comics is that they can always change, fix things and do better. Bring things back that work, and retcon things that don't. I whinge a lot, but I do firmly believe that there's good writing in Sam's past and future.

As for his writing in the mcu? Well, tfatws had issues; I liked a lot of it, but not all and had problems with how sam was handled at times. This opinion seems to be common among sam fans, even if we squabble over the details. For the earlier appearances in the mcu? They're mostly fine. It sucks shit that they took his powers away, and he's underutilised but whatever.

We don't know what the film is like. The bullshit headlines from spam farms saying "rumour: film is bad" are dumb. Theres been reshoots, but some of that is to be expected. The hulkification of what is supposed to be his movie is worrying, and I'm baffled by the decision to include sabra (although it looks as though they've tried to work around that as much as possible without removing her, which they'd face a counter backlash for*) but we genuinely have no idea if the film is well written or not, if it handles him well. We haven't seen it yet so... yeah no one can speak to its quality.

*that's not a defence, just my assumed explanation as to why she's still in the film.

I do not know Sebastian Stan.

All I know about this is that he said he'd be excited to see Chris evans back? I don't think he said that to spite Sam or Anthony Mackie. I think he just didn't think about anything much at all. It comes across badly but hey that wouldn't be the first time... in general, stan has spoken supportively about both mackie and sam, so this seems like projection. Parasocialing too close to the sun.

If I have beef with anyone on this topic it's the interviewers. They ask irritating questions (usually in the form of hounding mackie about anyone other than his own character), and we're left with these irritating answers.

As for evans? They're probably doing stevil. I'm ambivalent about it. Maybe sam will get to showdown with him. Hopefully they don't give all the good moments to bucky.

Maybe, mayyybeeee also consider that when there's a black led project in any nerd franchise (see The Acolyte, or Star Trek: Discovery) the narrative will emerge that it's irredeemably terrible, driven by the "anti-woke" types. Then, that backlash starts to influence the normal people too and then suddenly there's no talking about it ever because that group feel insulted when you point out how it all started.

That's not all of what's going on with sam right now, but it is absolutely a factor. I wish people would remember that people don't typically preface a racist opinion with "I'm racist and I think that..."

And this is, obviously, not the same as saying that "if you don't like this character, you're racist". Obviously not. Because, normally, when you don't like a character because you just don't really vibe with them, you just ignore them. If you can't keep their name out of your mouth, then there's clearly something up.

For those who are planning on not paying to see the film because of bds, I support that decision and I think sam would too if he was real. I have talked about this at length before.

So, is it hard being a sam fan? Yes and no.

I wouldn't talk about him, write him and draw him if I didn't enjoy it.

But it does mean a lot of this emotion 🙄 a lot of the time. It's probably one of the reasons my blocklist is so long. Hell, I started this blog in 2021, the era where multiple bucky fans were calling sam an abuser for using the word cyborg.

And obviously for Black fans in this space, the problems are worse. The people I know here who have received the most harassment are all Black women. I cannot speak for the experiences of Black fans, but I have a fucking heart. I have so much sympathy for those who ended up leaving the space for somewhere where they weren't forced to defend themselves every day.

So, yeah. A mixed bag. But people do like sam.

Do you have any recommendations for romance novels with women who are sexually dominate?

Lol idk about sexually dominant per se but here's some romance novels that have that vibe.

Brazen and the Beast by Sarah MacLean: at one point she ties him to the mast of the ship, enough said. I'm personally a huge Day of the Duchess fan as well, and one aspect of that book that I really loved is that it was about giving Seraphina agency that she lacked. Also, Heartbreaker is also a really great book in terms of sexually dominant female leads because for one thing, Adelaide isn't a blushing virgin so there's no easing in period and it's hotter for that.

Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas: So like, Sebastian St. Vincent is recovering from an injury and making himself be celibate ("I'm Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent. I can't be celibate. Everyone knows that") so that his wife will fuck him and said wife basically climbs on top of him while he's comatose (it's all consensual obviously) and rides him. It's very hot but also hilarious.

A Rogue's Rules for Seduction by Eva Leigh: a truly excellent second-chance romance, and well, let's just say that Willa gets to ... take charge so to speak, in a way that's very rare for mainstream romance that's not ~erotica~

Thief of Shadows (Maiden Lane #4) by Elizabeth Hoyt: There's a blowjob scene in this one that made me gasp out loud (and then start crying) and I'd definitely classify that as dominant. Plus, the hero in that one is a virgin! Also, Duke of Midnight (Maiden Lane #6) has a scene in a chair that's ... intense and I don't know if I'd classify it as dominant but that particular one is one of my favorites because it's a cross class romance that doesn't feel remotely inequal, which is super rare when the man's the wealthier party

The Duke Gets Even by Joanna Shupe: This is probably my favorite Shupe novel (along with The Prince of Broadway), and something I loved is that Nellie, who's basically a lady rake for lack of better term, gives as good as she gets. There are multiple instances where she CLAWS at Lockwood to the extent of leaving marks, and it's just so refreshing to read.

For the Duke’s Eyes Only by Lenora Bell: I haven't read this one in a while but from what I can remember, aside from the fact it's like, basically a gender-swapped Indiana Jones (Lady India Rochester) and Marian Ravenwood (The Duke of Ravenwood) with a very dramatic and headstrong heroine, there's a rare 69 scene, which almost never happens in historical romance.

Her Night with the Duke by Diana Quincy: A widow heroine who attempts (and fails) to have a one night stand lol. Also, I loved that this book really hits on the fact that just because you end up together doesn't mean that all your flaws as an individual just go away. At one point, the hero stalks away from the heroine during an argument because he's avoidant and instead of just letting him have his time, she stalks out after him to tell him he's being stupid (and they end up having sex against a tree).

A Rogue of One’s Own by Evie Dunmore: the best of Dunmore’s books, a childhood friends-enemies-lovers and I cried a LOT. Also, Oscar Wilde shows up!

Marco + Eva Religious Symbolism Effortpost: Three Key Moments/Motifs

“I Believe in Higher Powers, Yeerk”: Eva, Marco, the Protoevangelium, the Woman of the Apocalypse, and Related Iconography

The Protoevangelum is a Christian term for Genesis 3:15, towards the end of the Garden of Eden narrative. God says to the serpent “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” (NRSVCE)

Protoevangelium--”first Gospel”--is a specifically Christian term and is emphasized most in Catholic theology, in which this is said to be the first glimmer of Satan’s ultimate defeat by Christ, “the offspring of the woman.” The serpent strikes the offspring’s heel (the Crucifixion) and the offspring strikes the serpent’s head (Christ “saving us all from Satan’s power”, as the Christmas carol says.) Indeed, in earlier Bible translations based on St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate, “he will strike your head” was “she will strike your head”--an error that nobody noticed for centuries because it wasn’t particularly important to the Catholic understanding of the passage, which has it refer to both Christ and Mary. Sin enters the world through Eve, and then the remedy for sin enters the world through the “New Eve” who sets right what Eve Original Flavor put wrong. Or who finishes what Eve Original Flavor started, if you’re into felix culpa theology, which I am. Anybody who’s paid attention to the lyrics of “Battle Hymn of the Republic” will also have heard “let the hero born of woman crush the serpent with His heel” in that context.

Anyway here’s Wonderwall Eva (note her name!!) and Marco killing Edriss 562 in Animorphs #45:

"Die!" she wheezed, eyes fixed on a small gray spot an inch from the edge. Visser One! <Mom, stop!> She fell forward, arm extended, clutching... "Die!" The Bug ship flew in over the pool, blocking us from Dracon fire, hovering low just feet away. My mother's face was distorted. Real human tears ran from her cheeks. Rage, pain, joy... A final note on this: the image of the woman crushing the serpent’s head is especially important in Mexican Catholicism in particular.

Visser One’s “Crucifixion”: Eva Got Infested for Our Sins

I’m tempted not to elaborate on this at all because I’m so proud of the section subtitle but @nikosheba​ said she was specifically interested in my take so here goes.

The orthodox theology of Western Christianity (i.e. Protestantism and most of the Catholic Church) explains that Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection weren’t only necessary for human salvation as a moral example or demonstration of God’s power, they actually involved Jesus taking a punishment (from God/Himself, Satan, or both, depending on the specific theological theory) that otherwise humanity as a whole would have taken. The famous “blasting rope to Waluigi hentai” tweet comes from this; Jesus dies and goes to hell not because He deserves it but because anybody who would masturbate to Waluigi does and Jesus can take it better than they can.

Eva doesn’t get infested and almost killed along with her infestor/torturer/rapist “for humanity”, exactly--it doesn’t even preserve any of her son’s innocence, not that she (or he) shows any evidence of wanting it to--but it is a horrible, plot-driving, character-motivating experience that she’s presented as weathering a lot better than most of the younger characters could have, which I think is similar conceptually. (In-universe, Garoff or somebody might have decided on the crucifixion punishment as something Edriss’s host would have found particularly insulting, yet symbolically fitting--which is also an ironic punishment for Edriss herself with her tendency to LARP as the women she infests.)

Fear and Trembling in Santa Barbara: Marco, Eva, Abraham, Isaac, and the Inherent Homicidality of Family Hiking Trips

(@visseredriss​ made the post that turned me on to this so, you know, thanks for making #30 even more upsetting than it already was, I guess!)

In Genesis 22, Abraham infamously arranges a hiking trip with his son Isaac so that he can sacrifice him to God at the end, which he doesn’t go through with (although an angel provides him with a ram to sacrifice instead). In Animorphs #30, Marco infamously arranges a hiking trip with his infested mother so that he can shove her off a cliff at the end, which he doesn’t go through with (although Jake does it for him because this is a very normal series of funny animal books for ten-year-olds.).

The story in Genesis is understood a little differently in (modern) Christianity and Judaism. The usual modern Christian understanding focuses on Abraham as the active protagonist of the story and presents it as a test of faith in which the “reward” for faith is the suspension of the test. This is, in my opinion, a misreading derived from Kierkegaard’s Fear and Trembling; the early Christian interpretation was closer to at least one Jewish interpretation, in which the protagonist of the episode is Isaac, the faith tested is his (in being willing to die) rather than his father’s (in being willing to kill), and Abraham going through with it is unlikely from the start because God has previously promised that Abraham will have grandchildren through Isaac. (St. Paul’s Epistle to the Hebrews claims that Abraham was under the impression that, even if he did kill Isaac, God would simply raise Isaac from the dead--but then, St. Paul would say that, wouldn’t he?)

However, Kierkegaard’s exegesis is, as much as it pains me to say this about a character I love, Typical Marco Bullshit, and I would not be at all surprised if the parallel between Kierkegaard’s Abraham and Applegate’s Marco being willing to “suspend the ethical” to pursue what they see as a pre-moral imperative (obeying direct commands from God; winning the war against the Yeerks) is there for a reason. Even if it wasn’t deliberate, if you’ve taken an intro to existentialism (or even intro to Western philosophy) course you’ll have encountered Fear and Trembling; it’s there in the back of your mind, and “so then he led his favorite family member up the mountain to kill them in service of greater aim, and his reward for being willing to do this was that he ended up not having to do this” is never going to be an entirely accidental plot/thematic point.

Part of my October 2022 toy haul got here a few days ago. However, I was too upset that I screwed my Leon’s irises, that I kind of didn’t feel like resizing the photos I took then. Since I feel I have kind of fixed those now, I am feeling a bit lighter and decided to resize the photos now, to post my partial haul. I am a bit sad I wasn’t able to get a second release of the Figma Hunter, with the weapons, but glad I was able to get a set of the weapons. I own the first release, but I would have loved getting another Figma Hunter with the weapons set, as well as the separate set (just because I am a hoarder but would have loved unboxing one). I was upset at the time as I mentioned above, so I didn’t bother removing the bubble wrap from Sasuke’s Manga Dimensions Grandista figure. I got him from TOM, and the box is huge -- I’m not unboxing him, so I didn’t bother! I own all the regular Grandista version of him, and I wanted this one too, of course! He is kind of expensive however, so I probably won't be able to get a double to unbox one, like with the other Grandista. I was hoping GSC would re-release Sebastian as a Nendoroid figure, but I guess I’ll have to settle for the doll -- I never got the Nendo figure when that one released, so it’s my fault for being silly. I’m super happy with the adorable YuraYura Head Sasuke, I am super excited to unbox one, eventually. DX

Idk if you’ve already go this but how would the omega boys be if they were pregnant

Zemo:

He'd be a very independent Mumma like of course he loves you and is happy to be having your baby but he also wants to prove that he can look after himself and the baby and he doesn't need you treating him any differently (though he does love pampering in the evening). He is a bit nervous because of what had happened to Carl. He doesn't want to replace Carl and he is afraid to lose another child again. He gets a lot of nightmares from it and you have to reassure him that you will do everything to protect them and eventually he does cheer up. When giving birth he would be yelling and screaming say you are never allowed near him again, but once he has recovered he is all over you again.

Laszlo:

He would be really shy but he is so beautiful when pregnant. He would take maternity leave so he didn't have to go outside much so people couldn't see him pregnant but he would still go to the institute a lot to see the children as he sees them as his children in a way as well and so he sees it as preparation. He is very nervous to have a child, not wanting to be like his father. He is not sure he is ready but it is clear to see how much he loves his child already and that hadn't been born yet and he makes such a lovely mother when he finally gives birth.

Andrea:

Andrea loves the idea of being pregnant, seeing his stomach swell, his breast form, his glowing look. He might be a bit self-conscious but he loves it at the same time. He is excited to have this other tie to you, to imagine raising a child with you and just being the perfect family. He might worry that he is unprepared and he is scared for the pain of giving birth but he knows it will be worth it when it's over to see this precious creation between the two of you.

Niki:

It would be unexpected. He probably wasn't planning to get pregnant but he has a breeding kink and one thing leads to another and he takes the test and finds out. He is upset at first as it means he can't participate in F1 this year and he has a grudge at you for making him pregnant at first, but eventually, you win him over again and slowly he comes round to the idea of having a child. You are having to look after him though and stopping him from doing things that could be considered dangerous. He is still very bratty and doesn't listen to you and still blames you for making him pregnant but when he finally gives birth he can admit your child is very beautiful and eventually, he might admit he is happy he got pregnant.

Ernst:

He is also shocked and worried to get pregnant on the ship. Everyone was on birth control so it wouldn't happen but sometimes it doesn't work and this time that had happened. The ship wasn't really made for a child to live in which not only made them more determined to get back home but also turn the place into a good place to have a kid. Once he gets over the shock and fear about what might happen Ernst is happy to be pregnant and is a very loving mother, trying to prepare everything for the arrival. He tries to make the best of the situation and be the perfect mother and partner. He really tries to calm down his anger issues as well and even Volkov gives you two a few presents for your child.

Alex:

Once again this is another surprise, especially for how young the two of you are. He is nervous at first about people's reactions but surprised everyone was so supportive of him and it made him so, so happy and then excited to be able to have a child with you. He wants to plan for the future though, he wants to move out from where he lives, get your own place to raise your kids. And yes kids, he wants his child to have siblings for his child. Even when giving birth he isn't cursing you out or blaming you, he is too kind and too in love with you to ever be rude to you, but he does say he wants a break before getting pregnant again.

Sebastian:

He is scared of getting pregnant because it is a big commitment and he is not the sort of big commitment guy. He doesn't think he will make a good Mumma because he is too irresponsible and he doesn't want to give up smoking and drinking but he also doesn't want to give up the child so in the end, he asks you to help him with his addictions. He really tries to clean himself up and be good for his child even if it is hard for him. It works though and after a long labour, he is so happy to hold his child in his hands that he cries.

David:

Very scared and anxious, he tries to plan everything because he is worried about something going wrong. He rarely goes out worried something might happen and often you have to reassure him that it's okay and that he will be fine. He is very scared for the birth as well, knowing all that could go wrong but you reassure him and assure him that it will be okay and that he will have pain relievers so it isn't that hard. It still does hurt but he pushes through and gives birth after a few hours and he cries happy tears being able to hold his child in his arms after the whole ordeal.

Tony:

He's always wanted a child, but he never thought he would get the chance to so when he finds out he is pregnant he is so happy. He really hopes that his father might be proud of him for having a child as well. He wants to spoil his child with all of his money, ensuring he is raised in a happy environment and has everything he had always wanted as a kid. He hardly lets you go as he is so happy and now wants to spend all his time with you though he still wants to go to work as much as he can, even getting suits tailored for his expanding belly. Eventually, he takes leave though, about a month before the birth. He takes a few months before coming back to work and definitely brings his child with him.

Alex Garel:

Soft husband! He is so happy to have a child but at the same time anxious after everything that happened with Eva. He wants to prove that he is a good parent but at the same time, he doesn't want to replace Eva. He's a mixture of emotions but you know he will be so happy when your child is finally here. He can work from home on the robots so you two get to spend lots of time together to prepare for the child and he takes up knitting to make lots of warm clothes for your child. When he gives birth he cries holding his small child in his hands, happy to have created them with you and this time determined to do right by them.
