FUCK, MARRY, KILL: Daniel Brühl Cinematic Universe Edition
Just for funsies. Don't have an aneurysm. Leaning towards Zemo, Laszlo, and Böse, in that order, at the moment. At some other point, I might have said Thomas Lang, Niki Lauda, and Erik Jan Hanussen.
Because of the 30-photo limitation, I removed his minor and/or underdeveloped roles and the ones that wouldn't be difficult to "kill". I also didn't include the ones I haven't seen, so you won't see Salvador on this list. p.s. if anyone has a copy/link to that movie with English subs, I'd be forever grateful!
Lukas, The White Sound (2001)

WEEK 6 - FEEDBACK FROM EZRA & DAVID
Adjust kerning on the cover page to make second letters on each line of the title more even
Widen the space between the heading and the sub-heading
On the alphabet spread, change the colour of the "caption" text to the main text colours on each page
For both spreads, adjust the margins to bring in more breathing space
For the last full spread possibly remove the butterfly from the spread to make text adjustment easier, as the butterfly motif is not needed for every spread
Make the text size and spacing of page 14 to page 15 so that it matches and creates a contrasting effect better
Change the text on the back cover to white (shade from the spread backgrounds)

how the boys would be act drunks?
It's been ages since I made some headcanons and I know I have a load of requests from you guys that have been sitting in my inbox for months, but as I have some spare time I wanted to write something again so :)
Zemo:
I mean we've all seen his amazing dance moves. He is totally a dancy drunk. You can't get him to stay still when he is in the mood, he is pulling out many dance moves you would have never expected from him. He's also a flirty drunk, though. He will keep hitting on you, try and dance on you to tempt you, trying his best to be seductive so you might fuck him. He might also try to act like he is sober, and at times pretend to not be interested, but you both know that he is feeling incredibly horny and needs you. right. now.
Laszlo:
We have seen Laszlo drunk in the second season of the Alienist, and god was he adorable then. Had me swooning honestly. He is quite a silly drunk because all those walls he puts up to distance himself between people just disappear. He would be in awe at you, constantly commenting on your beauty and how amazing you are, and I would also see him ranting on about psychology and such and telling you all the cool facts about the human mind that he knows because he loves to tell you these things like an excited child. He wouldn't be a horny drunk like Zemo, I don't think he would really have any interest in sex when he is drunk, apart from wanting to suck on your titties if you have them, but as he comes down and you finally get him into bed he cuddles up to you tightly.
Andrea:
Once again we have also seen Andrea drunk in the film, and once again he was so friking adorable. I don't believe Andrea knows his limits, so he lets himself be goaded by others to drink more and more and he doesn't seem to realise how it will affect him the morning after. Andrea is a singing drunk, when he drinks enough he will sing any music he hears, even if he doesn't understand the lyrics, he just loves the melody. He might try and dance as well, but he likely can't stand up properly after a certain point. If he had only had a glass or two he might be up to having sex, but anything past that he is gone and definitely couldn't give consent, all that would be in his mind would be making you sing with him.
Niki:
Niki might be the Danny boy who can hold his alcohol the most. Likely because he has been drinking from a young age. His liver is definitely not doing so well. Because of that though it is rare to see him drunk. He doesn't like to be vulnerable. Being drunk makes him vulnerable. He will on occasions drink though, such as celebrating when he has won the championship for example. The alcohol though just makes him even cockier (which you didn't even think was possible tbh) he would try teasing you, likely flirty teasing, but he would also play hard to get. He wants to see you get annoyed by him, he finds it funny but in the end, he would love you to take control of him again. By the time you get him to the bedroom, he is probably trying to get you to have sex with him but you are trying to get him to sleep to stop his teasing. It's going to be hard to stop this man though when he has decided he wants you to fuck him now that he is drunk.
Ernst:
I feel at times Ernst would use alcohol as a coping mechanism from dealing with Volkov all the time. I see him getting back to his quarters every night and pulling out a drink just to soothe his head. One drink might lead to two though, and then to three. I don't see the rest of the crew having parties and drinking usually, maybe once in a while but most times he is drunk is just when the two of you have been drinking together in one of your quarters. When it's just with you he is quite a cuddly drunk. He'd be up for sex, but more so he just wants to be with you, to hold you in his arms and just bury his head into your neck. He wouldn't want to let you go.
Alex:
Alex is young and now that the wall is down he is out exploring. He definitely has gone out to nightclubs and such and loves to drag you along. He wants the full experience that he had been missing out on when the wall used to be up. He would get into the hype of the nightclub at first, being able to order lots of call drinks at the bar and being able to dance and sing to all the new music. It can go two ways though, either he gets too hyper and dances the night away, completely drunk and then you have to help him home at the end because he is completely out of it, or you two leave early as he is feeling a bit overwhelmed and after you look after him and great him to some gentle sex as he is desperate for it.
Sebastian:
When is this man not drunk tbh? His drunk self is essentially the same as his sober self. Though his sober self probably complains about being hungover a lot. Really there is not much of a difference between sober and drunk Sebastian as that wild side is just who he is. He's silly and goofy and hardly takes anything seriously and you have just learnt to love him for that.
David:
It might be the only time David doesn't seem to be stressed out about something. Drinking gives David that break from worrying about everything going on in his life and he gets to relax and enjoy his time with you. He would probably be all over you, being all lovey and Dovey trying to get you to take him to bed as he feels in the mood to have sex as he isn't stressed. He is also more goofy and silly and can make you laugh at anything he does.
Tony:
Tony is very modest in what he drinks. You rarely see him drink anything other than wine and even then he usually restrains himself to one glass. He needs to set an example to his staff and after seeing all the issues Adam had with drunks and drinking, it put him off taking anything in excess. Still, when it is just the two of you and it is a special occasion he might drink a few more glasses. When he is really drunk I think I see him as quite seductive, trying to charm you and such, especially as you guys drink on special occasions the thought of sex is already in his mind and the alcohol just gets rid of his nerves to approach the subject. Honestly, he ends up all over you.
Alex Garel:
I think in the time he spent away from his home, set before Eva, he might have had a problem with drinking lots. So now that he is setting his life straight again, being back and working on robots, he doesn't drink as much. Occasionally he might but he always tries to stop getting into drinking daily. He is quite a sweet drunk tbh, he just wants to be with you, maybe dance with you, tell you again and again how much he loves you. He might even get some robots out and show you all the cool tricks he has managed to teach them as he wants to see how proud you are of him.
Konrad Koch:
He has to be sensible when drinking, as he lives at the school he teaches and he can't have the students seeing him drunk. But occasionally in the evening he might go out and have a few drinks to destress. He studied in England, so he has totally learnt how the English behave drunk and so mimics it in a way though he is back in Germany. He might chant one of his favourite football chants, maybe he will sing it to you. I can see him being a bit goofy, laughing more, making you dance with him etc but I don't see him ever getting blackout drunk, like to the point where he can't really control his actions, no he still has some control over his behaviour.

Since you headcannon zemo ask a bottom (dom or sub), how would you headcannon the other characters that daniel has played, as well as sebastiens characters if your familiar with them.
Ok I won’t do all of them as I’ve seen A Lot of his films, but I’ll do some of Daniel’s more well known characters. (I’m gonna do these as if they were with Bucky because some of them I headcanon them differently if they were say reader etc and I’ll be here all day 🤣)
Here goes:
Daniel (Nichts Bereuen) - sub bottom
Arbo (Vaya con dios) - sub bottom
Alex (Goodbye, Lenin) - sub top
Jan (Edukators)- Dom top
Andrea (Ladies in Lavender)- sub bottom
Lt. Horstmayer (joyeux Noel) - Dom top
David Kern (Lila, Lila) sub bottom
Hans Kramer ( the coming days) - soft Dom top
Alex (Eva) - Dom top
Father Antonio ( intruders) - Dom bottom
Ivan (Pelayos) Dom top
Niki ( Rush) - bratty switch
Laszlo (Alienist) - sub bottom
Tony ( Burnt) - a switch (soft Dom)
Sebastian ( me and kaminski) - hard Dom top
Schmidt (cloverfield paradox) - bratty switch
Erik (The king’s man- based on the trailers) - bratty sub bottom
And one of Seb’s characters ( as I haven’t seen many of his)
Lance tucker ( The Bronze) - likes to think he’s a top but he’s definitely a bratty bottom

Its somewhat ironic that a movie about time travel can’t be reviewed properly until your future self rewatches the movie. It’s bold of Nolan to make such a thoroughly dense blockbuster. He assumes people will actually want to see ~Ördög a részletekben more than once so they can understand it properly, which some may not. This movie makes the chronology of Inception look as simplistic as tic-tac-toe. Ergo, it’s hard for me to give an accurate rating, without having seen it twice, as I’m still trying to figure out whether everything does indeed make sense. If it does, this movie is easily a 9 or 10. If it doesn’t, it’s a 6. It’s further not helped by the fact that the dialogue in the first 15 minutes of the movie is painfully hard to understand / hear. Either they were behind masks; they were practically mumbling; the sound effects were too loud; or all of the above. The exposition scenes are also waayyy too brief for something this complex — a problem also shared with Interstellar actually. (Interstellar had this minimalist exposition problem explaining Blight, where if you weren’t careful, you’d miss this one sentence / scene in the entire movie explaining that Blight was a viral bacteria: “Earth’s atmosphere is 80% nitrogen, we don’t even breathe nitrogen. Blight does, and as it thrives, our air gets less and less oxygen”). I guess it’s a Nolan quirk. Hopefully, a revision of the film audio sorts the sound mixing out. I do like the soundtrack, but it’s too loud initially. I liked all the actors. You think John Washington can’t act at first, but he can, and he grows on you as the film progresses. And Pattinson is his usual charming self. Elizabeth is a surprise treat. And so on. Its worth a watch either way. See it with subtitles if you can. And definitely don’t expect to fully understand whats going on the first time around. Its one hell of a complicated film. It will be very hard for an average viewer to gather all the information provided by this movie at the first watch. But the more you watch it, more hidden elements will come to light. And when you are able to put these hidden elements together. You will realize that this movie is just a “masterpiece” which takes the legacy of Christopher Nolan Forward If I talk about acting, Then I have to say that Robert Pattinson has really proved himself as a very good actor in these recent years. And I am sure his acting skills will increase with time. His performance is charming and very smooth. Whenever he is on the camera, he steals the focus John David Washington is also fantastic in this movie. His performance is electrifying, I hope to see more from him in the future. Other characters such as Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth, Himesh Patel, Dimple Kapadia, Clémence Poésy have also done quite well. And I dont think there is a need to talk about Michael Caine Talking about Music, its awesome. I dont think you will miss Hans Zimmer’s score. Ludwig has done a sufficient job. There is no lack of good score in the movie Gotta love the editing and post production which has been put into this movie. I think its fair to say this Nolan film has focused more in its post production. The main problem in the movie is the sound mixing. Plot is already complex and some dialogues are very soft due to the high music score. It makes it harder to realize what is going on in the movie. Other Nolan movies had loud BGM too. But Audio and dialogues weren’t a problem My humble request to everyone is to please let the movie sink in your thoughts. Let your mind grasp all the elements of this movie. I am sure more people will find it better. Even those who think they got the plot. I can bet they are wrong. ~Ördög a részletekben is the long awaited new movie from Christopher Nolan. The movie that’s set to reboot the multiplexes post-Covid. It’s a manic, extremely loud, extremely baffling sci-fi cum spy rollercoaster that will please a lot of Nolan fan-boys but which left me with very mixed views. John David Washington (Denzel’s lad) plays “The Protagonist” — a crack-CIA field operative who is an unstoppable one-man army in the style of Hobbs or Shaw. Recruited into an even more shadowy organisation, he’s on the trail of an international arms dealer, Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh in full villain mode). Sator is bullying his estranged wife Kat (Elizabeth Debicki) over custody of their son (and the film unusually has a BBFC warning about “Domestic Abuse”). Our hero jets the world to try to prevent a very particular kind of Armageddon while also keeping the vulnerable and attractive Kat alive. This is cinema at its biggest and boldest. Nolan has taken a cinema ‘splurge’ gun, filled it with money, set it on rapid fire, removed the safety and let rip at the screen. Given that Nolan is famous for doing all of his ‘effects’ for real and ‘in camera’, some of what you see performed is almost unbelievable. You thought crashing a train through rush-hour traffic in “Inception” was crazy? You ain’t seen nothing yet with the airport scene! And for lovers of Chinooks (I must admit I am one and rush out of the house to see one if I hear it coming!) there is positively Chinook-p*rn on offer in the film’s ridiculously huge finale. The ‘inversion’ aspects of the story also lends itself to some fight scenes — one in particular in an airport ‘freeport’ — which are both bizarre to watch and, I imagine, technically extremely challenging to pull off. In this regard John David Washington is an acrobatic and talented stunt performer in his own right, and must have trained for months for this role. Nolan’s crew also certainly racked up their air miles pre-lockdown, since the locations range far and wide across the world. The locations encompassed Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and United States. Hoyte Van Hoytema’s cinematography is lush in introducing these, especially the beautiful Italian coast scenes. Although I did miss the David Arnold strings that would typically introduce these in a Bond movie: it felt like that was missing. The ‘timey-wimey’ aspects of the plot are also intriguing and very cleverly done. There are numerous points at which you think “Oh, that’s a sloppy continuity error” or “Shame the production design team missed that cracked wing mirror”. Then later in the movie, you get at least a dozen “Aha!” moments. Some of them (no spoilers) are jaw-droppingly spectacular. Perhaps the best twist is hidden in the final line of the movie. I only processed it on the way home. And so to the first of my significant gripes with ~Ördög a részletekben. The sound mix in the movie is all over the place. I’d go stronger than that… it’s truly awful (expletive deleted)! Nolan often implements Shakespeare’s trick of having characters in the play provide exposition of the plot to aid comprehension. But unfortunately, all of this exposition dialogue was largely incomprehensible. This was due to: the ear-splitting volume of the sound: 2020 movie audiences are going to be suffering from ‘~Ördög a részletekbenis’! (LOL); the dialogue is poorly mixed with the thumping music by Ludwig Göransson (Wot? No Hans Zimmer?); a large proportion of the dialogue was through masks of varying description (#covid-appropriate). Aaron Taylor-Johnson was particularly unintelligible to my ears. Overall, watching this with subtitles at a special showing might be advisable! OK, so I only have a PhD in Physics… but at times I was completely lost as to the intricacies of the plot. It made “Inception” look like “The Tiger Who Came to Tea”. There was an obvious ‘McGuffin’ in “Inception” — — (“These ‘dream levels’… how exactly are they architected??”…. “Don’t worry… they’ll never notice”. And we didn’t!) In “~Ördög a részletekben” there are McGuffins nested in McGuffins. So much of this is casually waved away as “future stuff… you’re not qualified” that it feels vaguely condescending to the audience. At one point Sator says to Kat “You don’t know what’s going on, do you?” and she shakes her head blankly. We’re right with you there luv! There are also gaps in the storyline that jar. The word “~Ördög a részletekben”? What does it mean. Is it just a password? I’m none the wiser. The manic pace of ~Ördög a részletekben and the constant din means that the movie gallops along like a series of disconnected (albeit brilliant) action set pieces. For me, it has none of the emotional heart of the Cobb’s marriage problems from “Inception” or the father/daughter separation of “Interstellar”. In fact, you barely care for anyone in the movie, perhaps with the exception of Kat. It’s a talented cast. As mentioned above, John David Washington is muscular and athletic in the role. It’s a big load for the actor to carry in such a tent-pole movie, given his only significant starring role before was in the excellent BlacKkKlansman. But he carries it off well. A worthy successor to Gerard Butler and Jason Statham for action roles in the next 10 years. This is also a great performance by Robert Pattinson, in his most high-profile film in a long time, playing the vaguely alcoholic and Carré-esque support guy. Pattinson’s Potter co-star Clemence Poésy also pops up — rather more un-glam that usual — as the scientist plot-expositor early in the movie. Nolan’s regular Michael Caine also pops up. although the 87-year old legend is starting to show his age: His speech was obviously affected at the time of filming (though nice try Mr Nolan in trying to disguise that with a mouth full of food!). But in my book, any amount of Caine in a movie is a plus. He also gets to deliver the best killer line in the film about snobbery! However, it’s Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki that really stand out. They were both fabulous, especially when they were bouncing off each other in their marital battle royale. So, given this was my most anticipated movie of the year, it’s a bit of a curate’s egg for me. A mixture of being awe-struck at times and slightly disappointed at others. It’s a movie which needs a second watch, so I’m heading back today to give my ear drums another bashing! And this is one where I reserve the right to revisit my rating after that second watch… it’s not likely to go down… but it might go up. (For the full graphical review, check out One Mann’s Movies on t’interweb and Facebook. Thanks.) As this will be non-spoiler, I can’t say too much about the story. However, what I can is this: ~Ördög a részletekben’s story is quite dynamic in the sense that you won’t understand it till it wants you to. So, for the first half, your brain is fighting for hints and pieces to puzzle together the story. It isn’t until halfway through the movie that ~Ördög a részletekben invites you to the fantastic storytelling by Christopher Nolan. Acting is beyond phenomenal, and I’d be genuinely surprised if neither Robert Pattinson nor John David Washington doesn’t receive an Oscar nomination for best actor. It’s also hard not to mention how good Elizabeth Debicki and Aaron Johnson both are. All around, great acting, and the dialogue amps up the quality of the movie. The idea of this movie is damn fascinating, and while there are films that explore time-travelling, there’s never been anything quite like this. It has such a beautiful charm and for the most part, explains everything thoroughly. It feels so much more complex than any form of time-travelling we’ve seen, and no less could’ve been expected from Nolan. Oh my lord, the score for this film fits so perfectly. Every scene that’s meant to feel intense was amped by a hundred because of how good the score was. Let me just say though, none of them will be found iconic, but they fit the story and scenes so well. In the end, I walked out, feeling very satisfied. Nevertheless, I do have issues with the film that I cannot really express without spoiling bits of the story. There are definitely little inconsistencies that I found myself uncovering as the story progressed. However, I only had one issue that I found impacted my enjoyment. That issue was understanding some of the dialogue. No, not in the sense that the movie is too complicated, but more that it was hard to make out was being said at times. It felt like the movie required subtitles, but that probably was because, at a time in the film, there was far too much exposition. Nevertheless, I loved this film, I’ll be watching it at least two more times, and I think most of you in this group will enjoy it. I definitely suggest watching it in theatres if possible, just so you can get that excitement. (4/5) & (8.5/10) for those that care about number scores. At first, I want to ask Christopher Nolan one question, HOW THE HELL YOU DID THIS? Seriously I want to have an answer, How did he write such as this masterpiece! How did he get this complicated, fabulous and creative idea? What is going on in his mind? The story is written and directed perfectly, the narration style was absolutely unique. I have no idea how can anyone direct such as this story, that was a huge challenge, and as usual Nolan gave us a masterpiece that we’ll put beside (Memento), (Inception) and (Interstellar) The movie is so fast-paced in a good way, there was no boring moment. The chemistry between John David Washington and Robert Pattinson was great and funny and both of their performance was really good. Elizabeth Debicki performance was the best in the movie because she had the chance to show her acting abilities and she cached up that chance and showed us an A level acting. The music wasn’t unique and distinct as the music of Interstellar for example and I think this movie needed the touch of Hans Zimmer, I’m not saying that Ludwig Göransson failed but Hans Zimmer in another level. If there was something I’d say that I didn’t like it in the movie would it be that Nolan discarded any set up or characters backgrounds except Elizabeth Debicki dramatic story but it wasn’t that bad for me, I didn’t care about that, the exciting story didn’t give me the chance to focus on it. But the actual problem was the third act, it was really complicated and I got lost and I convinced myself to discard the questions that were in my head and enjoy the well-made action sequences and Elizabeth Debicki performance. I think this kind of movie that gets better with a second and third watch. I honestly don’t quite know where to begin with ~Ördög a részletekben. I love Christopher Nolan’s work but I have never seen a more complicated film (and I understood Memento). ~After nearly three hours, I came away from ~Ördög a részletekben not knowing myself, my mind reduced to nothing more than piles of ash. Was there time travel involved? Hmm, there was definitely something about time inversion. I mean, does Nolan even understand what he wrote? Look, I give credit to the director because he’s one of the few directors left who knows how to create a compelling and intelligent blockbuster. ~Ördög a részletekben is full of Nolan trademarks — the gratuitous Michael Caine cameo, a loud, really loud score, complete with stunning cinematography and slickly inventive action set-pieces. This time around however, Nolan has finally managed to ‘out-Nolan’ himself: the palindromic plot, whilst creatively ambitious, is simply far too complicated for its own good. ~Ördög a részletekben is overlong, overstuffed, pretentious and too exhausting to comprehend in its entirety — it makes Inception and Interstellar look like Peppa Pig by comparison. I’m aware of the technical wizardry and creative mastery in this film and lord knows I’ll have to watch this again. For those who want a puzzle, ~Ördög a részletekben at least provides a unique cinematic experience. But to actually enjoy solving it Nolan wants you to work very very hard

David Carson Art Review
David Carson is an American graphic designer and design director, his design style largely consists of disordered and abstracted type, largely resembling collage or graffiti.
With this first piece of Carson’s work, what caught my eye is the very clear collage technique used. I believe this art technique definitely makes this piece, as it adds depth and layers. As well as this, I really love Carson’s choice of materials to use in this piece, especially the transparent sheets of plastic with letters printed on them, not only are these additions interesting by themselves, but also add more depth to the piece as they lay on top of and slightly distort the large, bold and colourful letter cut outs beneath them. Overall I really like this piece as although it is busy and chaotic in its composition, it is still readable and interesting to look at with all its layers and detail.
In this next piece of Carson’s work, what visually stands out to me is his use of various typefaces, font and art styles to design the book title, this makes the title stand out very well against the chaotic background. As well as this, the design is very memorable and unique, amaking it a really affective logo for the book. The overall layout and design of this cover is very much akin to most of Carson’s collage inspired work, this is due to the use of layering, combining a wide range of materials, patterns and fonts. Another aspect that makes this piece an affective collage inspired piece is the decision to include rough white edges on each cut out element, this is most visible on the title letters and the blue floral pattern in the front, to me this shows an incredible eye for detail on how collage cuttings aren’t always perfectly clean, to mimic that imperfection adds character to the piece and makes its appearance seem more organic and DIY.
With this next piece, it shows Carson’s style of experimental typography, with distorted and tilted text throughout the cover, disorientating but intriguing the readers on what the magazine might be about. What caught my eye with this cover design is the use of a grainy film texture throughout the covers design, it gives the whole design a gritty and grungey aesthetic, making it fit in with the grunge sub cultures of the 90’s. Continuing with the gritty aesthetic, the type seen on this cover has a weathered and aged look, consisting of large chunks of letters looking scratched off or aged.
With this last piece of Coupland’s I chose, what stuck out to me about its design is its use of leading and tracking between the letters and words. On the right half of this poster, the slogans are sandwiched and tightly packed together, making an interesting shape out of all the words being combined together. This however is in contrast with the left side of the poster, which features a persons face with a minimal amount of text in front of them, a majority of the space being filled with large text starting the word ‘bounce’ and ending on the opposite side in smaller black text. Another example of contrast In this poster is colour contrast, as on the left side of the poster, the text is white over top of a person with a dark skin tone, making the text stand out in contrast, this is in further contrast to the right side as it is a white page with black text to create high contrast. This is a very eye-catching and effective use of contrast and asymmetry due to how harsh the colour contrast is between both black and white, it also allows the viewers eyes to read the poster from left to right as the left side is bolder in colour and contrast but the word ‘bounce’ draws the viewers eyes to the right. Talking further on the word ‘bounce’ on the poster, the layout of the kerning and height in the word, make the word itself seem as if it’s bouncing across both sides, creating an interesting and smart visual affect.

Artistfacts: Mark Grotjahn
Time to do a piece on a white American male painter, a group that today is often written about as if they live in the dark ages of abstract expressionist painting. To this effect a lot of the press that Mark Grotjahn has gotten beings with his drinking and drug taking (now a thing of the past), the strength of his market, the names of his collectors, and his ability to control his career and market. (Article in the New York Times by Robin Pogrebin Dated July 30, 2017 “When an Artist Calls the Shots: Mark Grotjahn’s Soaring Prices”.
His collectors are big names in the art world notably. David Geffen is quoted in the article as saying: ” He’s the most important artist of his generation” and Alberto Mugrabi is quoted as saying:” He’s probably an artist who’s in more demand today that any other…- he’s on top”). Mark Grotjahn gets a lot less press and critical writing about his work than who his galleries are- he has four: Gagosian, Anton Kern, Blum and Poe, Shane Campbell and he is not the kind of artist who tends to go into long explantations about what he is doing, his process and philosophies. No manifesto coming out here. As Mark Grotjahn has put it, he does not feel that as an artist you have to know exactly what it is that you are doing and be able to speak about it.
Who cares about all that. Mark Grotjahn is a fabulous, abstract painter, period. One who focuses on line, perspective and color with a strong distinctive voice.
The two series he is best known for are both readily recognizable. He makes dense, crayon based paintings with a focus on vanishing points and a radiant motif- the Butterfly series and he makes dense oil based paintings often completely crafted with a palette knife that include eyes- the Face paintings.
He is comfortable with seriality, i.e. working on an idea over several canvases, or setting up a more rigid system of composition that lets him then explore the act of painting.
He is comfortable with both atonal paintings, one color, variant hues and with wildly colorful, exuberant mixes of color.
As his practice has evolved, he seems to have become even more comfortable with movement, color, line, texture and exploring how the medium is applied- crayon, brush, palette knife, hand.
At the beginning of his artistic career, following in the footsteps of the 10th street galleries in New York, he opened a gallery in Los Angeles called Room 702 where he worked and showed other artists. He also engaged in a conceptual, performance phase where he copied the signs of small business and exchanged them for the real ones, then exhibited the real ones in his gallery as his own artwork “Sign Exchange Project 1992”.
The Butterfly series are created based on a series of self imposed rules. He first selects a precise number of color pencils. choosing colors that hold together in tone and intensity, then, picking the pencils randomly, he applies the colors systematically from left to right. Investigating perspective and vanishing points, he turns the axis of a classical perspective renaissance painting 90 degrees from a horizontal line to a vertical line and plays with tow or more competing and tiered vanishing points. At times one gets quite a psychedelic feel from these. The Butterfly paintings were generally made from 1998 through 2008.
The Face Paintings add eyes, a mouth or a nose. They remain abstract, visceral, totemic, primitive. Eyes peering through thick cut out paint, The color choices seem to include the entire color palette, not steering away from pastels and vivid hues , the effect is rich and strong. The faces are wild and shaman-like. This series contains sub-series with names such as Indians and Non Indians, Circus and the Turkish Forest series. These sub- series are distinguishable mainly by the color palette, the number of eyes, or the formatting of the eyes from almond shaped to leaflike. The strong vertical line in the middle remains the key element from which the composition radiates. This central vertical band generally continues to displays two or more disjoined vanishing points and the paint within it is dragged, scraped, feathered. Mark Grotjahn’s use of paint is aggressive and expressive. One gets the feeling of energy, speed, movement. His canvas is cardboard applied on linen. Underlying the paintings is supposedly a mask like face with a strong ground color that at times pokes through. The critical discourse surrounding his art ties this burying of painterly content under the radial mark making to his grandfather a psychoanalyst.
As a release from the effort of painting, he started to make sculptures out of cardboard, often described as masks. They resemble the sort of work made in Kindergarten using cardboard boxes and toilet paper or paper towel rolls, with holes for the eyes and a jutting tube – nose or phallic member. Now being cast in bronze and painted by the artist’s hand, literally as in fingerprinted, they are elevated, separated from their childish beginnings much as the sculptures by Picasso and Miro left behind their humble origins. These are both enchanting and beautiful.
Some works are signed, some use a nickname- the Moose- the signature becomes a part of the painting.
Well deservedly his work now finds itself in many museum collections where we can enjoy them. Abstract, figurative, rational, expressive, the art terminology is less important than the immense pleasure one gets looking and spending time with these exuberant works. You need to get close enough to smell the paint and admire the techniques then far enough to appreciate the structure and form.
Enjoy them.

August Titans 53 roster prediction
August Titans 53 roster prediction
Asked and asked, here is my Titans 53 prediction. Yes, I disagree with others. That is the fun of this exercise.
I have done a “53 roster prediction” each of the previous three months. I will be cherry-picking some from those articles here. The number in quotes is a running total or subtotal.
Specialists 3 (3)
The Titans have three special teamers in punter Brett Kern, kicker Ryan Succop, and long snapper Beau Brinkley.
Quarterbacks 2 (5)
Marcus Mariota is the franchise player and Matt Cassel is viewed as a reliable backup. Alex Tanney is 29 years old and has been a long time developmental project. Tyler Ferguson has yet to play more than a few snaps in a preseason game, but the reports on him are quite favorable. I’m penciling Ferguson for the practice squad and a shift here from one developmental project to another.
Backfield 4 (9)
DeMarco Murray. Jalston Fowler, and Derrick Henry have been assured spots since last season. David Fluellen seems clearly ahead of the other backups. Coach Mike Mularkey praising him the other day also reaffirms this belief. Since the draft, I have been writing how Khalfani Muhammad had protection issues and very few catches in college, so he was a curious pick for what the Titans needed him to do. This hasn’t changed. He still seems to struggle in practice and it seems Akeem Judd is the fourth running back here. Judd has had a good preseason. Muhammad hasn’t. The Titans have had a running back on the practice squad for as long as I can remember, so expect Judd to land there.

Tight Ends 3 (12)
Delanie Walker, Jonnu Smith, and Phillip Supernaw. I dropped this number from five to three. Coach Mike Mularkey has shown an affinity toward both the tight end and the multiple tight end sets. To keep only three tight ends and run a three tight end offense often would be foolish. I don’t think they will. I think they will (on cutdown day) plan to use two tight ends often, not three. Dennis Kelly has been in the role of blocking tight end many times. For a two tight end set, to have two on the roster is reasonable.
Offensive line 9(21)
Taylor Lewan, Quinton Spain, Ben Jones, Josh Kline and Jack Conklin are the starters. Josue Matias has been excellent in preseason, dominant even. He should make the roster this year. Tyler Marz was the backup tackle last season. He has played both guard spots this preseason and at tackle too. I think he showed he is valuable and worth keeping. Dennis Kelly filled in well for Taylor Lewan last season and as I mentioned earlier, he plays a third tight end role.
Tim Lelito has not done well. He was signed and “advertised” as a tackle that had played tight end with the Saints. Not long after signing, the Titans moved him inside. He hasn’t looked good or bad in preseason. He’s been fine with some good plays and some mistakes. Fine seems like a good adjective here. It is either that he didn’t do any of the six spots well or that he has exceptional value having played six spots. I’m guessing the latter here.
Adjustment
Previously I had five tight ends and eight offensive linemen for a total of thirteen. Now I have nine plus three for a total of twelve. That frees up a spot. With Lelito and Kelly capable of being the backup blocking tight ends, I think this is clever. (Yeah we all think our ideas are clever but…) With that spot, I am going to add Eric Weems in below. Previously, I only had five wide receivers making the team.
Wide Receivers 6 (27)
Eric Weems was mentioned. Rishard Matthews and Eric Decker are veterans that were almost assured spots. Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor are the well-publicized rookies. I have long stated that the Titans will try to trade Tajae Sharpe, but here we are in mid-August and that hasn’t happened. Maybe Sharpe will stir up some interest with a good performance during the week three preseason game? Harry Douglas offers a veteran presence and the staff seems to adore him. Tre McBride has spent two years on the practice squad and improved each year. His improvement has been impressive and he would have made any other Titans squad. They are just too deep this year. If a trade is possible, then I would put Douglas on the 53. I do not think McBride clears waivers this year to make it to the practice squad.
I do not think McBride clears waivers this year to make it to the practice squad. His improvement was evident on a nationally televised game. Weaker NFL rosters have depth wide receivers that don’t play special teams. McBride can play the gunner spot and the kick returner spot. He should be picked up and nudge some fifth wide receiver off another team’s roster.
Mekhale McKay seemed to catch the fascination of reporters and fans at almost every practice. He has been out with a hamstring injury. I had him penciled in for a practice squad spot, but the 6-foot 5-inch wideout needs to return and show the team he deserves that spot. If he can not impress enough, then I would predict Jonathan Krause for the practice squad. The Titans always have one or two wide receivers there also.
Defensive line 8 (35)
Jurrell Casey and Karl Klug are obvious. Austin Johnson has really pushed DaQuan Jones for his starting spot. Both of them will make it regardless. Sylvester Williams has not played well at all. Both Antwaun Woods and DeAngelo Brown have played well. I have the Titans keeping the two undrafted free agents and releasing their free agent signee. As I understand it, Williams makes $7 million if he is on the opening day roster, but he only costs the Titans $1 million if he is cut. I can’t see them paying six million extra for a guy that has been beaten out by two others. Angelo Blackson has moved around the line during the preseason and still seems to have some value as a sub. Cameron Robbins has been a joy to watch. Coach Mularkey singled out Jimmy Staten recently for his sack, but Brown pushed him forward so he could get that sack. I could imagine both Robbins and Staten making it over Blackson, but I don’t think so.
Linebackers 8 (43)
Derrick Morgan, Brian Orakpo, and Avery Williamson are studs with assured spots. Wesley Woodyard is a team leader. He has a tentative hold on his starter’s spot, but his leadership cements a roster spot here. Aaron Wallace and Jayon Brown have been impressive all offseason. Erik Walden was signed late as a free agent and all of the quotes have been favorable about him. I haven’t noticed him doing all that much in preseason, but he must be doing well in practice. Daren Bates will be kept for his special teams value.
Sooo yes I have Kevin Dodd being cut or traded. I could see him being kept over Walden. I absolutely do not think they keep Dodd over Bates, Wallace, or Brown. Nate Palmer has been a valuable special teams player and a valuable backup, but …again with those three being better. Bates is also a better special teams linebacker than Justin Staples.
Josh Carraway has been impressive. His football intelligence has been obvious and he has really been something to watch as he learns the outside linebacker position. I am nervous of this, but I am predicting the Titans cross their fingers and hope he clears waivers to make the practice squad. That is a risky move, but I don’t see another way. The Titans have “too much” talent at linebacker this summer.
Cornerbacks 5 (48)
LeShaun Sims hasn’t lost his starting spot. Logan Ryan has started opposite Sims. Bryce McCain seems to be trying to hold off Adoree Jackson for his starting slot cornerback spot. Kalan Reed’s ability to play both safety and cornerback show obvious value. I’ve been quite impressed with the second year player. Curtis Riley can similarly play both cornerback and safety. I think the Titans will cut or trade McCain here. The younger players development has been so impressive that I think they must make a move toward the future here.
Safety 5(53)
Johnathan Cyprien and Kevin Byard are the starters with DaNorris Searcy getting plenty of reps as a key sub. Brynden Trawick is a special teams ace. I am at a point that I feel like there are too many players only playing special teams, but even still he will make it. Denzel Johnson has been fantastic in both preseason games. He can “fly” and is a terrific outfielder. During the season, Johnson’s presence deep could afford Byard the opportunity to roam and utilize his playmaking skills. While Byard is the free safety, I don’t think the Titans want him stuck deep playing outfielder too often. The other safeties don’t truly offer the same outfielder qualities as Johnson. They can fill in, but it’s not the same.
Jeremy Boykins should make the practice squad. The highly regarded high school recruit didn’t do much at UCF, but some could still be intrigued and grab him off waivers. I have enjoyed watching him. He is a special athlete and has done well at safety and cornerback. He needs more experience to crack this roster, so I figure he will be on the practice squad.
Ramifications, misunderstanding
This would not mean that Jon Robinson had a bad draft. Yes, I have Muhammad, Brad Seaton, and Corey Levin not making this team, but the rest are key players. The Titans haven’t been the best team the last few years so every draft pick made it or almost every one did. They are a good team and this happens. It’s not uncommon for players in the fifth through seventh rounds to not make a roster. There’s a misunderstanding out there about these late round players. The good PR from signing an undrafted free agent will outweigh the notion of him missing on a seventh rounder.

10 Quick Tips to tighten your Landing Page design
I’m proud to say One Page Love features over 6k websites now. To add more value I write a micro-review with feedback on each website featured.
Unfortunately, with the continuous push to increase quality, not all submissions get in. These 10 tips below form the most common feedback I give users to help improve their Landing Page design.
What (exactly) is a Landing Page?
Before we begin, let’s define a few things…
A Landing Page aims to provide the perfect (read minimum) amount of information for a user to make a decision and act upon it. This website page is often seen as a standalone long-scrolling One Page website and has no additional pages (like about, services, contact).
The purpose of a Landing Page is to encourage user interaction (sign up, download or sale) without the user clicking to other pages. This successful interaction is also known as a conversion.
This article can be your checklist to communicate in the clearest way possible, cut through clutter and in-turn, increase those sweet sweet conversions.
eBook Format
If you really enjoy the article and want to support – I’ve added all these tips into a neat eBook (pay what you want) in PDF and ePub (iBooks) format.
I also threw in a couple bonus tips on “Deconstructing your About paragraph” and “Understanding Storytelling in Landing Pages”. At the back is a printable 20-point ‘Design Checklist’ to ensure your Landing Page is watertight.
The bulk of the eBook is all below but the contribution helps keep One Page Love ad free:)
Hope you find value in the article!
Much love, Rob

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.” ~ Hans Hofman
Tip 1 – Keep brand capitalization consistent
So often overlooked, inconsistencies in your brand name affects first impression and can even create confusion. Here are the possible variations I’ve seen using “One Page Love”:
One Page Love (correct)
Onepagelove
ONEPAGELOVE
onepagelove
one page love
One-Page Love
Onepage Love
Here are some popular ones:
WordPress (1 word, 2 capital letters)
MailChimp (1 word, 2 capital letters)
Stack Overflow (2 words)
Facebook (1 word)
Avoid ALL CAPS if you can but choose one and stick with it.
Tip: Visit your live Landing Page, use your browser in-page search and try find all possible variations of your brand name.
Tip 2 – Don’t neglect Retina optimization
If anything, you absolutely must have a Retina-optimized logo. A “pixelated” logo affects first impressions like you won’t believe.
This basically means your logo needs to be double the size on Retina screens or must be in Vector format ie. SVG
Note the “pixelated” logo on the left and crisp Retina-optimized logo to the right:
Next on priority list would be app or website screenshots, the crisper the better first impression:
Lastly is your big imagery:
Tip: Use ImageOptim for optimizing bigger, rich color images. It’s debatable what the ideal page load size is, but optimizing everything is always good practice.
Useful links:
PNG to SVG resources – a link filled article on Stack Overflow
IconFinder – tons of free vector social icons
Ready-To-Use SVG icons – copy & paste resource
Hero Patterns – repeatable SVG background patterns
Textures.js – SVG patterns for data visualization (infographics)
Tip 3 – More padding and then some
The majority of users are going to skim your content. If you bundle everything together they are going to skim even more.
81 percent of people only skim the content they read online. Usability expert Jakob Nielsen reports the average user reads at most 20 to 28 percent of words during an average visit. (source)
Whitespace is often technically referred to as negative space. But it’s really the breathing room for your content and also for the user. This slows them down and increases focus.
The Brenner Cycles websites features gorgeous breathing room
We talk about “graceful downgrading” of padding from desktop to mobile (eg. 40px desktop, 20px mobile) but what about “graceful upgrading” to huge monitors? What a delight it is to see optimization with generous padding (along with bigger fonts) on larger resolutions:
Tip: If you’re questioning if you should increase padding, you should probably double it.
Tip: Increase padding but still stick to a grid.
Tip: Reverse engineer your padding allowances by working around the perfect line length (characters per line) based on your font size.

Tip 4 – Consistent vertical spacing
So we covered grids (commonly used for horizontal padding) but we often overlook vertical spacing in a Landing Page.
It can get pretty technical with things like Vertical Rhythms and Baseline Grids but what about consistent section spacing and padding between elements?
Here is a classic long-scrolling Landing Page I threw together with “sections” of content:
Now note the consistency in vertical spacing and secondly how the smaller gaps are half the ratio of the bigger gaps:
Tip: Keep spacing within consistent ratios. Example: if we set 50px button, then set section title bottom margins also at 50px and section diver spacing at 100px. Consistency is key.

Modular Scale – Size your type in a more meaningful way

Tip 5 – Less images, better images
It can take one good image to completely change the emotion of your user. Unfortunately, same goes for one bad image.
“Simplicity means the achievement of maximum effect with minimum means.” ~ Dr. Koichi Kawanaite
Good imagery builds trust. Trust leads to conversions.
Spend the money. Get a photoshoot of your team, your product, your food. The ROI on a photoshoot is always guaranteed.
The Dona Rita website features only 4 quality images that completely capture her product and brand.
Tip: Once you have a good selection, ask yourself if each image truly captures your story or compliments your brand. Eliminate everything non-essential.
Useful links:
Unsplash – Free (do whatever you want) high-res photos
Beautiful Team Images – for inspiration
Tip 6 – Less fonts, more weights
Different weights within one font family can really strengthen the heading and paragraph arrangement.
This paired with quality text contrast (next up) will create a beautiful reading experience for your user.
Tip: Try stick with two font families (maximum three) in your Landing Page.
Useful links:
Google Fonts – over 800 free web fonts
Font Pair – help pairing Google Fonts
Typekit – beautiful premium web fonts
Tip 7 – More text color contrast
Never have pure black (#000000) text on a pure white (#FFFFFF) page background. Soften the blow with an off-white background and a grey text hierarchy. Example:
#f8f8f8 background
#111111 main headings
#222222 sub headings
#444444 paragraph body copy
#666666 block quotes
Illustrated to the right:
Same goes for pure white on pure black. The contrast is too high. Note the softer color scheme with a dark grey hierarchy to the right:
Tip: Experiment with completely different color palettes within your Landing Page. Start by taking your main brand colors then creating a softer hierarchy of colors.
A quality color scheme is instantly remarkable and can strengthen your branding.
Useful links:

Tip 8 – Make sure your Call-To-Action button is an Ace-drawing Maverick
Not crazy Mel Gibson but more classic, winning Gibson.
Try softer pastel colors for backgrounds then use a Maverick (stand out) color like orange, red, green or blue for your call-to-action buttons.
Keep your call-to-action button style consistent. It will remind your user what you want them to do as they scroll.
The ‘Pattern by Etsy’ Landing Page features the same color and styled buttons but they change the wording to correlate with the section copy.
The ‘Oak by Absolut’ Landing Page features strong call-to-action buttons as they match the brand color.
Tip: Make sure the first call-to-action button is above the fold.
Useful links:

Tip 9 – Polish with Text Kerning and Font Smoothing
It’s incredible how the smallest kerning tweaks can transform a Landing Page design. This example shows subtle kerning in the headings only:
Tip: Different font families act differently, some will need more kerning, some will need none.
By adding just a few lines of CSS code you can really polish a Landing Page design. Here is the code I use on most of my projects:
body { -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; -moz-osx-font-smoothing: grayscale; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility; -moz-font-feature-settings: "liga" on; }
The difference is seen below:
Both are taken off the same Mac device. The right having the additional Font Smoothing CSS styles.
Useful Links:

Tip 10 – Declutter throughout
Earlier we cut down on images but why stop there. We are not trying to convince the user with as much as possible, it’s as little as possible.
“One does not accumulate but eliminate. It is not daily increase but daily decrease. The height of cultivation always runs to simplicity.” ~ Bruce Lee
Get in the mindset that every piece of content needs to contribute or it must go:
2 brilliant testimonials – not 8 average ones.
2 highlighted power features, with 4 smaller features below – not a grid of 12.
Your 8 best wedding photographs – not the past 4 years of work.
Launchday started gathering email address simply with a minimal Landing Page containing intro copy and a demo video. Note the beautiful Maverick call-to-action button too.
Tip: Kill those social share icons, especially the embedded ones. If they are essential, hard code them.
Tip: Replace, don’t add. When you get new testimonials or images, try replace the old ones.
Bonus Tip: Make it remarkable with love
When something is remarkable it sits in the easy-access area of the brain. This is what triggers word-of-mouth, your free form of advertising.
remarkable (adjective): worthy of attention; striking.
Make the user feel you actually give a fuck. Show you care by adding love:
Style the default UI in 3rd party scripts like Lightbox (more)
Add subtle CSS load transitions and fades (more)
Add personality with an emoji ( )
Add a custom preloader animation (more)
Highlight the menu item matching the current page section (more)
Add an x-factor (more)
Spend time on your website footer (more)
Give away something of value
Conversely, show you care by removing:
Misspellings
Pop-ups
Scrolljacking
Lies
Verbosity
Jargon
Clutter
You love your product, you’re proud of it.
Much so you spent a huge amount of time and energy nurturing it’s Landing Page.

What are the danny bunch like when they get pegged by y/n
Zemo:
Zemo considers himself a modern man. He understands the pleasure of being pegged, and he happily asks and accepts being pegged from you. He wouldn't hide it either. If people asked, he would admit he likes being pegged. There is something about giving up all of his control and just being fucked by you, which he loves. He can go either for rough pegging or romantic pegging. Both are good. He enjoys the thrill of being tossed over the edge of a bed as you have his way with him, feeling you pound into him as he comes from how hard you were hitting his prostate. But he also loves you pushing him into missionary, being able to look up at your beautiful face, to kiss you as you slowly thrust into him, holding his hand in yours as you both relish in the feeling of pushing into Zemo and watching him moan under you.
Laszlo:
Unlike Zemo, he is a lot more hesitant. Anal sex was against the law in his time, and though he knows no one would find out, the thought of it would make him feel a bit freaked out. He never thought he would have sex in this way, and it takes him a while to get used to the idea of it. First, you only finger him, to allow him to get used to being pushed into and though it makes him awfully embarrassed, he feels the pleasure of it. The first time you peg him he is really nervous, but you take control to make him feel at ease. You push him down and kiss him gently, making sure he is all prepped. When you first push into him he gasps and tenses and you stay still so he gets used to it, but eventually, as you started to move and slowly thrust into him he starts moaning, thrusting his hips up and fucking back onto your strap on in pleasure. It doesn't happen too frequently, but when he says he is up for being pegged tonight, you two are up for hours.
Andrea:
The first time you pegged Andrea, he came so hard he thought he was in heaven. From there at least weekly, if not more, he begged you to peg him. He loved the rougher side, to feel you pounding into him as he cried out, either grasping the bed or his legs as his body shakes from the pleasure. He loves to cry out your name, begging you to let him cum, to go deeper, to kiss him. He loves it all.
Niki:
Another one where it doesn't happen too often. Though he loves it when you take charge and are being dominant, he doesn't like to give in to it or ask for it, and to be pegged he views as extremely submissive so only if he is really in a sub mood he would let you peg him. He prefers rough to romantic sex though, he needs the rough to put his bratty nature in place. So that means grasping his hair and pulling it back while you push him over the side of the bed, fucking into him. Then so be it.
Ernst:
Another one who only occasionally lets you peg him, as he's worried about what Volkov would say if he ever finds out. He enjoys being pegged, though he only likes the more romantic side, having you above him, pushing his legs open and pushing into him. It would take more than just pegging to make him cum, likely jerking him off as well. The mix of those two would make him come hard.
Alex:
Subby boy would love it so much. He's willing to try anything once to get used to western culture and once he tried pegging there was no going back for him. He prefers the more romantic side of it, but he doesn't mind if you want to go rougher as well. He's just happy to be able to experience with you and feel this connection even as you use a strap on to push into him.
Sebastian:
Oh boy, does this man love it. You likely weren't the first person to peg him. He's had experience with all sorts of people, so he knows what he likes and he will tell you. He'd prefer it on the rougher side, likely with some hair pulling as well, such as pulling his hair to make his back arch as you take him from behind, or pulling his hair to pull his head up and make him look at you pushing into him with a strap on. All of that is guaranteed to make him come hard.
David:
Not a fan, it wouldn't really be his sort of thing. He gets too nervous about it, how it might hurt, that it might be uncomfortable, that he might do something wrong, that he doesn't know what to do though you say he doesn't have to do anything, it causes too much stress and freaks him out and you respect it to not push it any further.
Alex Garel:
He's into really intimate pegging, like 100% of the romantic such. He wants both of your bodies moving together; he wants to be able to wrap his arms around you and hold on to you tightly while you grasp at his thighs, pushing them open. Kisses all over his face and neck as he gasps and blushes when you hit that certain spot inside of him. I keep picturing in my mind the thought of pegging him while he is wearing just his cute jumper, nothing else, and it is making my heart flutter.
Konrad Koch:
Only when the kids are away. When there is a 0% risk of them storming up to his room to see him and walking in on something. He doesn't want to imagine even having to begin explaining that to them. So yeah, it's a rare circumstance for you to actually peg him, and while he doesn't it, in fact quite enjoys the feeling, there are many other ways to have sex that he prefers. He'll do it because he knows you like it and he wants to make you happy, but yeah, not really his cup of tea.

Kinkmas #17 - Thigh riding - David Kern
“You need to calm down darling,” you tell David as you watched him pace back and forth repeatedly, reading out the lines in his book again and again and again.
“You wrote the damn thing, after all. It will be fine to read out. I get you don’t like big crowds and attention but just focus on the words and pretend you are just reading to me and that no one else is there!”
“It’s not as simple as that!” David whined, finally looking up from the book to you.
You sighed and tilted your head, narrowing your eyes at David to look at him disapprovingly. He glances away from you guiltily and finally places the book down. He ran his fingers through his hair, messing it up, which made you tut.
“Come over here, David and sit,” you tell him, pointing at your lap. His eyes flicker over you a few times and then to the doorway, but finally, he moved to sit down on your knee, facing away from you so you could run your fingers through his hair, sorting it out. He was wearing his suit, ready to go on stage in half an hour. As he sat on your lap, though, he started to move his hips slightly. Not enough that you had noticed, to begin with, until you heard him gasp.
You glanced at David curiously, but then it caught your eye. Down in his crotch, a tent was forming.
“Are you getting turned on from sitting on my knee, darling?” you asked David, smirking as you saw how deeply he blushed.
“I- I well, I was moving, and I didn’t mean to, well, you know,-”
“Keep doing it,”
David tried to turn to the side to look at you, but you grasped his hair and made him keep looking forward. David swallowed as he looked down at his shame but started to move his hips again. His breath hitched as his cock rubbed against your thigh, stimulating the underside of it slightly.
You moved your hand from his hair to his hips instead, holding them to stabilise him as you pressed kisses to his neck. David was brushing so brightly, even so, he closed his eyes and let out a few moans of pleasure as he felt his cock swell.
“Are you already so close?” you whisper against his neck.
“Yes-I’m going to come soon- I,”
“If you do, you’ll spoil your trousers before the reading.”
That made David’s eyes shoot open.
“I mustn’t!” he gasped, but it was already too late. With another snap of his hips on your thigh, he lost his control as he came, moans escaping his lips as he collapsed against your chest.
“Come on, I can find you some new trousers,” you tell him.

Jerking off the boiz and biting their neck/shoulder as a marking?
Zemo:
Zemo is so usually quick-witted and holding power over everyone, though become so thought dumb as you jerk him off and bite at his neck. Like every thought, worry, feeling leaves his mind as he is swarmed with pleasure at the feeling of your hand on him, stroking him just the way he likes. He would look so pretty as well with a blush on his cheeks as he watches you nibble at his skin, letting out a few moans as you nip at that sensitive spot. Zemo would proudly show off his marks as well. He doesn't care what people would say or think; he wanted people to know that he, a Baron, belonged to you.
Laszlo:
God, Laszlo gets so flustered. Even if you have been with him for years, still anything sexual gets him blushing and almost freaking out as it is still almost foreign to him that someone would want him like this and that he would ever get to experience this. He assumed a long time ago this wouldn't be the life for him. Having your hand on him, jerking him off, is so intimate he loves it. He loves feeling how close he is to you. He loves your hands as well. He always finds them so pretty and seeing them wrapped around his cock makes him so hard. Feeling your lips on his neck and shoulder as well does make him anxious about people potentially seeing the marks, but he doesn't have the will to stop you as it feels so good.
Andrea:
If this could be every evening with you, Andrea would be in heaven. He loves, LOVES, the feeling of your lips on him, biting down on his neck and shoulder. Marking him up. He loves seeing that he belongs to you. And he has a little bit of a masochist kink, so he enjoys the pain of you biting down. You can work wonders with your hands as well, bringing him to the edge so quickly that he is just gasping and writhing under your touch, bucking his hips up into your palms as it has only been a few minutes and already he feels extremely close.
Niki:
Oh, what a brat. Whenever you try marking his neck and shoulder he always complains, saying that people will notice, people will ask questions and he can't be having that. He doesn't exactly try to stop you either, though. Usually, Niki prefers your mouth or to be inside of you rather than when you use your hands to jerk him off, but he can't deny how good it can feel when you do, especially when you sometimes put some force into it when he is being extra bratty.
Ernst:
He would look so pretty gasping and moaning under you as you bite at his neck and jerk him off. His chest is heaving, his lips twitching as your hand relentlessly works at him. He would be the sort to let out little whimpers as well. As you bite down on that one spot on his neck that makes it feel like his eyes rolled back into his head. Ernest secretly loves you biting down on him, giving him little remarks but the next day he is always trying to hide them so that Volkov won't see, as last time he did he teased him about it relentlessly for ages.
Alex:
That boy loves nothing more than to be marked by you. And he loves a quick hand job as well, to get that quick release of pleasure. Anywhere and at any time Alex is usually down. You just push him over or against a wall and just start jerking him off and nipping at his skin. Alex just simmers. He can't make out any words. All he can do is moan and gasp as you work your magic.
Sebastian:
Another masochist who loves to tease you so he gets punished. He would be saying things like 'Is that really as hard as you can bite me' and 'You call that a bite mark' till you either bite down hard enough to draw out a little bit of blood, or you focus on jerking him off as fast as you can, squeezing his cock till he comes over your hand, but even then you don't repent, continuously jerking him off as you overstimulate him till he is crying out against your grasp.
David:
He's not a big fan of marking, because he doesn't really like the pain of being bitten, but he is all down for you jerking him off, especially after a really long day where he has been so stressed and just to be able to go home to you and you help ease the worry and stress by making him cum, even with your hands he would be so thankful.
Tony:
He's secretly all about marking. He knows he is supposed to keep all neat to look his best at the hotel and restaurant, but to be able to walk around with a mark on himself, showing he belongs to you, would thrill him deep down. Even if the mark can't be seen after his suit, just knowing it is there is enough to make him happy. Usually, he likes being the one fucked, feeling you deep inside of him, he enjoys being used by you but everyone in a while he enjoys you bringing him pleasure by jerking him off, though he feels after he needs to jerk or suck you off as well for thanks though you tell him he doesn't have to.
Alex Garel:
He lives for the evenings where he gets to cuddle up with you in the warm fire-lit room, after working all day on the robots in the cold garage. He loves being all snug and warm around you, and he loves the pleasure you bring to him. What he treasures most is being able to snug into you, burying himself into your warm body while you jerk him off. He isn't much of a fan of marking, but being given a hand job, he adores.
Konrad Koch:
While bitting at his skin and jerking him off, you are also having to put your other hand on his mouth to keep him quiet as he keeps moaning and letting out gasps and you worry a kid walking past his room might hear. The last thing they need is to be hearing their teacher like that. He gets so shy when you take over because he is blushing and doesn't know what to say, but letting you take over makes him so hard and feeling you biting down on him and jerking him off so roughly overwhelms him with a pleasure that he can't control the sounds he makes, because it just feels so good.

I love your blog!! Your headcanons are top tier, just pure *chef's kiss* perfection
So my question is: what toys/kinds of toys are each of the Danny Bunch's favourites?
I know this is a bit vague but I wanted to give you room to really go nuts
Awh thank you so much! And now you are really testing my knowledge on sex toys😅hope you enjoy it though!
Zemo:
This may be because I have read a load of fanfic's with Zemo and these things, but vibrators. Man loves the feeling of something inside of him, pressing up against his prostate and just vibrating. Constantly stimulating him. Bonus points are one which has a remote control so you can increase and lower the sensitivity when you want. Especially if the two of you are out somewhere, maybe he is at an important business deal or on a mission and during it, you just turn up the vibrations just to see him tense up and then try to pretend that he isn't completely turned on.
Laszlo:
There weren't many types of sex toys back in Laszlo's era, and what there was, were probably not the best. But honestly, I see Laszlo enjoying things more along the bondage side of things. Where you tie up his arms for example. He is very self-conscious because of his arm but in tieing it up and his other arm, he no longer has control over both and so he doesn't feel bad about not being able to do things because of his arm, because he physically can't as it is restrained. He also loves the feeling of handing over all the control to you and letting you do what you want to him. Bonus point is putting a blindfold on him as well so not only can he not move, he can't see you either.
Andrea:
Once again because of the era, there weren't as many sex toys, especially not for male pleasure. But I do see Andrea enjoying being pegged, so maybe a very simple strap on. Very unconventional for the time period but then again since when was Andrea really a normal guy? He's so adorable though. But yeah Andrea loves for you to peg him, he loves you being on top of him and pushing into him and just feeling all the pleasure from his prostate which he had no idea about till he met you.
Niki:
Niki would never say out loud what his favourite sex toy is. Frankly, he'd be very embarrassed to admit it but honestly, for that brat, it's a paddle to spank him with. He secretly loves to be punished which is why he acts out so regularly. He can't help it in a way but the thought of you punishing him and putting him in his place makes him so incredibly turned on. I'd see him preferring a plastic or leather one to a wooden one, texture-wise, but he wants you to hit as hard as you can so that his ass is red afterwards (though it's hard for him to drive for a few days afterwards)
Ernst:
Modern guy likes his modern things. Who knows what technology we will have in the future and what new type of sex toys we will have. Going off something more technically advanced though, I'd see Ernst enjoying an automatic masturbator. A machine you can put on him which feels like a cunt and pumps him. Like an automatic fleshlight. You'd have a remote thought to be able to control the movement, how fast and how slow. You get to control his pleasure and tease him with it, till he is begging for you to turn it up so he can come. You can also overstimulate him with it, not stopping the movement and vibrations even though he has already cum.
Alex:
After the wall goes down, Alex wants to experiment with everything including sex toys so really he doesn't want you to hold back with using things on him. I think something that he would really be interested in, and what would make him cum too hard his legs are shaking would be a vibrator, but instead of pushing it inside of him, pressing a wand vibrator up against his balls and pressing it against his prenum, that bit of skin between his balls and ass which helps stimulate his prostate. Pushing a vibrator around that area while also doing over things would bring him so much pleasure, honestly, he would just lose it.
Sebastian:
Another one of the boys who loves pegging. Honestly, he probably prefers it to what people would consider normal sex. He loves acting bratty just for you to ram him into the bed later. Really what else can I say apart from the fact that he just craves the feeling of you thrusting inside of him, and seeing you on top of him.
David:
I don't think David likes to experiment too greatly. He sticks to what he is used to and so for that matter, using toys really are not a common circumstance. However, this thought just came into my mind so I'm going to write it down and that is while I don't think he would enjoy pegging and such (he thinks that's too much for him to cope with) he would let you use anal beads on him. Like I said it's only occasionally you two would use toys and he would need other things as well as the anal beads, but he does love the feeling of you pushing some small ones into him, them being in him while you ride them and then you pull them out when he comes undone.
Tony:
Tony is another one who I personally think, doesn't really use toys in the bedroom. It's just not really his thing, he prefers more traditional sex with you. However, the one exception would be a fleshlight or a toy similar to that. Usually, when you two sleep together, you are the one topping him. You might give him a handjob or a blowjob but you don't really let him make love to you. So using that toy is an alternative for the two of you, so his cock still gets stimulation which feels like he is fucking something even though he isn't actually fucking you. He enjoys the feeling of the toy and how good you are able to use it on him. But he definitely prefers it when you are making love to him.
Alex Garel:
Electro toys! Not commonly known about but these things do exist. I came across one once where you place it on the tip of a guy's cock and from pressing something it sends quick bursts of electricity out stimulating him. I can see Alex thriving off that. The gasps and moans he would make as he thrashes around for a few seconds from it. It would make him incredibly hard. I can also see Alex designing his own toys to fit his own needs and for you to use on him.
Konrad Koch:
Once again the time period he is in is quite limiting in terms of sex toys. But even then I personally don't see Konrad being into a lot more kinky things. I think he is more traditional things, though maybe he did experiment in his university days. But yeah now he is older and living at the school I don't think he is too big on sex toys. However, I do see him, much like Laszlo, enjoying being tied up from time to time just to let go of all control and let you use him however you want to.

I have noticed how the whole sub content is obviously bound to super sexy smut.
Therefore my back paddling question: could you tell me one Dom/Sub routine between reader and the Daniel Bunch that steadies their bond but has no sex involved?
I love this, so wholesome!
Zemo:
He's always worried you might leave for someone better, someone who isn't a criminal, someone who could give you an easier life so he likes to be reminded that you are still there with him, looking after him as he looks after you, which is why physical touch always means a lot to him as well. He loves making you breakfast in the morning and for you to come and wrap your arms around his waist, place a few kisses on his neck and just hold him. Simple things like that really mean so much to Zemo.
Laszlo:
I mean we already see it in the show but helping Laszlo with things he can't do because of his arm. Like how Mary helps him with his boots. In allowing you to help him, he is allowing himself to be vulnerable around you, to rely on you and that is something Laszlo doesn't like to do easily or trusts many people with it. It's how he slowly becomes more accustomed to being a sub and allowing you to take care of him in all sorts of ways.
Andrea:
Oh, my sweet boy. I feel like morning routines with Andrea would steady their bond. It's my headcanon that Andrea sleeps in late and hates getting up so most days you would have to force him out of bed. I also headcanon he can not cook, maybe he can make breakfast but that is a big maybe. Most of the time it is you making him food (and he is always so grateful) so you would almost baby him in the morning, looking after him and helping him get ready for the day and he just loves you looking after him so much.
Niki:
Like with Laszlo, it's hard for Niki to accept that he is a sub and enjoys being a sub for a while but unlike Laszlo, he is a lot more resistant to your help. For a sub/dom routine I think it would be like Zemo in giving him hugs, little kisses on his cheeks, a pat on the butt 😏, it's not saying anything but allowing him into a space of comfort with you. Plus he secretly loves being pulled into your embrace, he feels so secure in your arms.
Ernst:
Being able to restrain him. He has a lot of anger issues, plus sometimes he thinks he is better than others so if you are able to pull him off his horse, calm him down, remind him that the others are just as intelligent as he is, I think he secretly loves you for that. He hates his anger issues and how he thinks but he finds it hard to control so having you help him with it makes him feel so close to you.
Alex:
Trying new experiences with him. Now with western things open up to him, Alex wants to try everything and having you with him, experimenting with him, trying these new experiences and helping him through stuff and understand things makes him so happy. Like Andrea, he likes to be babied (mummy issues am I right) but not to the extreme that Andrea likes.
Sebastian:
Unlike a lot of his other characters, Seb knows he is a sub and is proud of it before you even meet him. One routine I imagine is helping him look after his hair. We can all see that he has lovely locks but it can get very messy (and greasy) so like you showering with him and washing his hair, you making him sit down and brush his hair, de-tangle it, he loves it, he loves how gentle you are with his hair, how you always want him to look his best even when he usually isn't.
David:
David can not make decisions, David can not make the right choices, David has no clue what he is doing most of the time. He loves it when you help him with tough decisions, talking it over with him, letting him make the final decision of course but helping him understand things and ensuring he doesn't do something stupid. Always in the evening he will sit down for you after making the two of you dinner and will tell you all his problems and you will offer him advice which he always takes to heart.
Tony:
I feel like even though he is a sub, he provides a lot for you. He will always buy things, spend money on the two of you and he makes you food, though he always says his cooking isn't that good (it is) so if you take him out for the day, maybe take him to a film or the theatre and find a way to pay for it before he can, he enjoys it because he sees how much you care for him and that you are not just with him because of his money and reputation.

The first time the boys cry during sex? Why/from what? How they react & how (ideally) their s/o would respond? - 🦇
Zemo:
I feel like if we are going with the narrative that Zemo still has his background, that he was married before and his wife was killed in the Sokovia attack, then I'd say the first time the two of you had sex. He'd become so overwhelmed with emotions because not only has it been so long that he has been with another person but he might feel like he is betraying her in a way by sleeping with someone else and that he never thought he would be able to experience something like this. He has a lot of complex emotions going through him and he would probably hate the fact that he is crying because he didn't want to ruin it for you, he hates himself for it but you would stop whatever you were doing and sit with him and just discuss everything in his mind, set some boundaries so you don't push him too far and just talk it through with him till he is feeling better.
Laszlo:
I feel like it would be early on in the relationship but not as early as Zemo, but he would cry from overwhelming love. He can't believe he has met someone like you, who accepts him for who he is, likes him despite his arm and the fact that he is a sub and is willing to be a dom for him. He adores you so much for it that when you two are having sex he is just thinking about how he loves you so much that he just starts crying because he feels like he doesn't deserve you. He doesn't want you to stop on his account but you do to check that he is okay and when he assures you he is and he is able to stop crying he wants to go back to it straight away.
Andrea:
Would cry from overstimulation. He cries a lot during sex tbh when he gets overwhelmed with pleasure or overstimulated and the first time you grow worried that you had hurt him or upset him as you know what a sensitive soul Andrea is. You stopping would make him cry even more though because he needs you desperately and would whine and complain at you till you start up again. Eventually, you would get used to the fact that he cries and you end up finding it really pretty when he does and love to make him cry to see him get all emotional.
Niki:
After his accident. He wouldn't tell you, but Niki was so worried about you leaving him because of his looks. To the press you know he jokes about it, tells that guy to fuck off but deep down he is really insecure. Why would you stay with him when you could have lots of other, different good looking men. You would be in the middle of it and he would just burst into tears. Niki is always so bratty and hates showing emotions so this comes as a surprise to you and so you instantly stop. He doesn't want to tell you at first, ashamed of it but eventually, you get him to confess and then you are reassuring him that you won't leave him, that you love him for him, not just for his looks and that he still looks handsome to you.
Ernst:
Pegging him for the first time. It would be quite overwhelming for him as likely before you came along, he thought he was a dom and you completely rocked his world. It would take him a while to even get used to the idea of pegging and eventually when he agrees to try it it's so unusual for him it does make him cry a bit but eventually, he is able to pull himself together. You stop what you are doing of course but you let him have those moments to cry and let it all out of his system. Maybe give him a hug as well to let him know he can go at his own pace.
Alex:
He would be a first-time crier as well. Especially if you are doing something new and not like the traditional sex that he was taught was all he could do growing up. He is so amazed by all the new experiences and things that he can do that it overwhelms him slightly and a few tears leave his eyes, it's not a lot like the others but it's enough for him to need to take a few minutes to calm himself down and accept that this is really happening, he is living this fantasy he always thought he wouldn't be able to.
Sebastian:
We know he likes to fake cry a lot when he wants something. He will do it a lot if you are too busy for him. 'Please 🥺' but it would take a lot for him to actually cry. I see it as like really the stress of the day getting to him, maybe another project fell through, he lost money, something happened and he doesn't tell you because he just wants sex and he thinks sex will make it better but it just makes his feelings more powerful till he starts crying. You would stop what you are doing, grab him some blankets some drinks and food and just curl up with him, talk to him about his problem and smother him in kisses and cuddles for the rest of the night.
David:
Similar to Sebastian, it would likely be from the overwhelming day he is having, plus he probably suffers from imposter syndrome as well with all the lies he has done and he feels like he doesn't deserve you, so you have to calm him down, once again talk him through his problems and reassure him you like him for who he is nothing else.
Tony:
Tony feels like a first time as well. He hasn't allowed himself to really be in any relationships, instead, focusing on his work (and being in love with his best friend for years which he finally gave up on) and he has always tried to hide the fact he was gay because he knew his father wouldn't approve so when you two finally get together it's all so new to him that he can hardly believe it even when the two of you are getting it on he just starts to cry because he can't believe he is finally being able to do something he has always wanted but never thought he would be able to. You would have to give him lots of hugs and kisses to reassure him that it is real and he is allowed to feel that way.

If you called the boys a good boy during sex what would they do
Sorry it's taken a while to get to!
Zemo:
God he would be all over you, he loves being called a good boy and if you do call him that it will certainly spur him on and just turn him on even more. Whatever he was doing when you called him that he will be going at it at like 110% after you call him that. He wants to prove to you just how much of a good boy he is.
Laszlo:
Oh, he will be blushing so much omg, obviously a bit embarrassed but also it makes him swoon, I imagine like 'Am I really a good boy? 🥺' because he has doubts about his worth so to hear you call him a good boy makes him melt. He will want to smother you in kisses afterwards and hug you tightly.
Andrea:
Also, another one who would just melt if you called him a good boy. He would not be able to stop smiling for the rest of the day because yes he is a good boy! and he is so happy for you to call him that and he definitely needs to prove it to you later when he gets the chance.
Niki:
He would pout because he is a man, not a boy, he doesn't need your approval and might become fussy about you calling him it, though deep down he would never admit it but he does secretly like it. Then again because of how much of a brat he is, it is very rare for you to call him a good boy and when you do it is sure just to bring him back to his bratty self again.
Ernst:
Also like Niki, he is a bit embarrassed and poutty because he is a man, not a boy, but he makes it more clear how much it might turn him on as well. If you two were in the moment he would enjoy being called a good boy, but if it was outside the bedroom setting he would be more reluctant to like it.
Alex:
Just like Andrea, he loves it. Being a good boy is always what he is aiming for. He wants to be the best for you at all times. He will do anything to hear you call him good boy again, and when you do he will not let you go, he will likely hug you to death.
Sebastian:
He finds it amusing when you call him a good boy and will over-exaggerate everything he says, "Am I really a good boy?" "Shouldn't a good boy get a treat?" ""I think I am the best boy," etc, it does make him feel special being called a good boy because like Niki, he isn't always a good boy.
David:
He wouldn't know what to say, he would be so bashful and surprised at you calling him a good boy and how much he enjoys it, it makes his heart race with excitement when you call him it. He will not stop smiling the whole rest of the day afterwards.
Tony:
It's not really his thing like he prefers more formal terms of endearment and things to call him. Like he understands if you say it in the heat of the moment, but most of the time it is a turn off for him.
Alex Garel:
