tbh personally we've started becoming more chill with whats a "true" headmate or not. tldr if they want to call themselves that they can. if they can forget everything and go back to their world/universe/life and only interact through "roleplay" they can. if they wanna be considered a "personality" of another headmate they can.

we have people that shift, fuse, unfuse, duplicate, etc. we have echoes and thoughts that personify, we have people that turn into thoughts.

you dont need to think about it that hard. you dont need to think about it at all. if it feels right to be called/call someone/something a headmate, do so. if not, dont.

we are currently thinking/debating if we have a factive that ended up forming from similar daydreams. and yknow what. im pretty sure they went like "nope. I'll stay into a daydream. this duplication plurality thing is too much to handle/think about. im just gonna be here and have fun with you as a fake scenario/daydream." and we more or less all agreed to that.

the lines between what a "real person" is and isnt are blurry, and hell, I'd argue, non existent.

hi sophie, at the moment im thinking about my system and i know i have a neuronarrator who often makes up characters for us to interact with in his narration/our daydreams.

is it possible for some of these characters to have become full parts? i really have no way of like. finding out because most of my parts go dormant if they think too hard about who they are, especially if they dont really have a “role” (which i think is due to our gatekeeper)

anyways yeah, i dont know anything about tulpamancy or created headmates. i would feel bad if i had a whole chunk of headmates that were created by our narrator and then forced into dormancy by our gatekeeper :,)

Possible, but probably not.

Everyone has their own goalposts for awareness and autonomy. For us at least, the goalposts involved not just autonomy, but self-awareness. Abby and Almond weren't headmates until they were aware of the world outside of the daydreams.

I wouldn't worry about this too much. If you start thinking every character you create in your daydreams is a headmate, it's not too far until you start thinking about all those dream characters made and dissolved in your head every night that seem to possess rudimentary self-consciousness.

This is why we have pretty hard rules for what we accept as a full headmate here. We expect them to be autonomous, to be self-conscious, to exists for a period of days, to retain memories and sense of self across those days, and to possess meta-awareness knowing who we are and about our lives outside of whatever dreams or daydreams they occupy.

Besides that, dormancy is just like a long sleep. If a headmate is dormant, they aren't in generally pain. They aren't suffering. They just aren't there. So even if this was happening, I don't think you should feel bad about it.

What are your hair headcanons for the chain? I personally think Wild, Wars and Legend have the longest hair but thats just because I think Legend's hat is full of hair he just pretends isnt there so he doesnt havd to brush it(warriors is going to kill him when he realizes)

I think Wild’s is definitely the longest, no contest. And I don’t think it’s THICK, it’s just dense. Like, the individual strands are rather fine, and his hair is soft and silky but he’s got a LOT of it. It’s definitely waist length, and has a slight natural wave to it, and he’s a natural dirty blonde. He’s experimented with temporary dyes because he got bored though. Also he does a lot with his hair and he takes really good care of it! It’s not HIS fault he wiped out and fell in a bush and got a bunch of sticks in it 😔

Second longest for me is Time, whose hair to me goes about two inches past his collar bone. He’s a warmer toned blond, and the color is completely natural, he doesn’t do much to his hair. I hc he has bad sensory issues and his hair can sometimes really bother his neck, but if he cut it short he’d never make it through growing it out again so when it bothers him he ties it up off his neck. Any hairstyles he does don’t have a WHOLE lot of thought put into them, but Malon and Wars have done pretty things with his hair before and he enjoyed it. He just can’t do that for himself. I also hc his hair is very thick and naturally wavy and Wars is constantly one toe over the line crossing into GENUINE jealously because Time does NOTHING and his hair just looks incredible and it hurts Wars to know that if he out just a Little effort into it it would look even better

Legend’s is about the same length as Time’s but most of it is always tied up and/or shoved into his hat. He’s naturally strawberry blond, and his hair is thick but pretty straight. It would hold a curl if he did curl it though, and he’s (of course) dyed it a few times in his life

We all know Four’s fuckass /pos bob. What an absolute legend I love his haircut. I hc his hair is very thin and fine, but it has that really pretty silky quality to it? It’s the type of stick straight hair that won’t curl even if you spray it to death and say a prayer. Its a cooler toned blond and it’s a lighter color than any of the other naturally blond Links

Hyrule to me has very dark 3c hair and if he pulls on it to straighten it out then he for sure beats Time for second place, but where his hair actually like falls to is right at his shoulders. Like it just rests at his shoulders. He had to learn to take care of it before he let it get that long because it was just kinda hard for a 10 yo kid to care for when he was so on his own, but he’s got the hang of it now and he’s really happy with how it looks. He doesn’t often do too much with it in terms of styling but sometimes he’ll braid it because it is kinda annoying to have to pick sticks out of it when he and Wild take a tumble and both walk back to camp FULL of sticks and then Warriors has to help the both of them

Sky’s hair to me has natural loose curls and is a fairly dark, slightly red toned brown. It’s very thick and just brushes his shoulders. It’s long enough that he can tie it back if he wants to, but he usually doesn’t because its so thick his arms will get sore from spending so much time trying to tie it back in a way that doesn’t look absolutely atrocious because theres just so MUCH of it and its hard to handle

Warriors’s is similar to Sky’s in length, and it’s naturally very thick, dark and curly, but he straightens and bleaches it to death. His roots are a very dark brown, but he does his best to cover that up. He also tries very hard to keep his hair as nice as possible and do what he can to prevent further damage. It’s curlier than Sky’s is naturally, but when it starts to curl up again it because of humidity or because he didn’t straighten it very successfully it looks a bit similar

Wind is a different styling technique away from a bowl cut. His hair is curly as fuck, not QUITE as curly as Hyrule’s is but definitely close, and his hair is naturally brown but has been highlighted and appears very blond. His roots are clearly brown, but not as dark as Warriors’s. His hair is very thick and hard to manage and Wars taught him how to care for it properly so after the journey when he’s more confident in how it looks, he lets it grow out past his shoulders. I hc Wars helped him LOVE his hair

Twilight is out here fighting demons but the demons are him. His hair is thick as hell AND dense as fuck, and it’s a bit wavy. It doesn’t listen to him, ever. He can’t so much as PART it differently because it’s gonna do what it’s gonna do. His hair was naturally a reddish brown, not a super dark color but definitely brown, but since the transformation he has a constantly dark roots no matter HOW much his hair seems to grow out, and his hair still has a red tone to it but he thinks it looks darker. It also takes him forever to wash his scalp because his hair refuses to let the water in anywhere and he gets a bit annoyed. Length wise you CAN see the back of his neck a bit, and it was definitely cut like, around his head in the sense that it’s not just layered with the intention of it hanging down long. the hair coming from the top of his head which is the longest part of his haircut are like 6 inches long MAX

Oh my god I just had my first sprunki dream and it was definitely based on xyr au 😭 /pos this is the best day ever

I remember me n my family were trying to sneak in under fake names, but I'd used a male Id so Ciqu got suspicious but eventually moved on. But then once we got there, we got stuck in a house alongside several Sprunkis and couldn't get out. But there was something that would like allow us to live longer, but Sky had accidentally taken it all? So we had to siphon bits of it to the rest of us because otherwise he'd live for 700 years.

Only a few of us actually escaped, I think Raddy was still trapped, and others. Those that escaped apparently still couldn't leave the premises, almost like ghosts. Whatever that immortality substance was, our bodies still aged but we'd continue to live on.

some more headcanons for u since im leo/need brained. i think shihoemu is a really cute ship! theres a lot of potential for shiho, who isnt used to being spoiled, getting so so many cute gifts from emu (mostly phennies), who loves giving gifts to people she cares about! one day, emu gave shiho a massive phenny plushie about 3 feet tall that she had designed specifically for xem. shiho was NOT prepared to recieve such a personalized and also wild (/pos) gift and got soooo flustered. emu is reaaly strong from all of her experience in gymnastics, so she made carrying it seem super easy, only to pass it off to shiho and have them suprised at how heavy the plushie actually is hehe. usually, emu gifts them pins or keychains, but she knows shiho loves the occasional plushie but doesnt wanna ask for them

flare is MILDY haughty but generally very nice. he tries his best to help others and unlearn his bad behaviours from childhood. hes a trans guy btw!!! he also is a little bad with physical touch from new people but will show mild forms of affection so rubie feels loved.

depos is a gentle giant and very overprotective. they have a cat demeanour and love helping rubie with his homework!! he often needs a body double so depos will do research while rubie studies. very physically affectionate.

miasma is a little charismatic yet tricky bastard. he loves pulling pranks but has a hard time telling when someone genuinely doesnt like what hes doing so he tries to make sure they tell him if he does upset them. very cuddly with rubie and has a special bond with depos, often mirroring them!!!

apple fritter is a big baby /pos. shes such a cutie pie and is so nice to everyone despite her loud and rambunctious personality! she would never do anything to intentionally harm ANYONE. she will flop on rubies lap or lay down near other team members so they can lay on top of her. she has to be scrubbed often so her scales dont get crusty from her playing in mud :)

reef is extremely cunning and smart. he can come up with complex strategies to lots of problems within minutes and spends lots of time researching moves with depos. he isnt good at battle strategies but is learning !!! he likes to be the heavy damage taker, with many moves and an item healing him, to stall for rubie to figure out a plan.

lychee. oh dear god lychee. the kind of girl who will drink a monster energy, half drank, left out for hours, without a second thought. shes extremely strong, able to hold up all of her team members with ease. she loves teasing miasma and pulling tricks on him because she has very thick skin. she goes feral when someone upsets any of her team members, and specifically tries her best to be understanding with flare about his touch boundaries.

💗 dear god here we go. cacao has two teams, a travel/casual team (second team he built) and a powerful/overleveled team (first team)

first team members: squeaks (noivern), stinky (kingler, shes a girl tho so i call her queenler), jasper (cinderace), socks (boltund), expresso (thievul), and marble (espeon).

second team members: bubbles (dragonair), turaco? i believe (togekiss), kasib (scolipede), kingfisher (archeops), saffron (lilligant), and fanta (toxtricity amped form)

squeaks is shy scenemo rave kid and has a platonic crush on stinky, adores marble

stinky is big burly lady and gives big bear hugs. and is not actually stinky i just named her that cus she was a pain to catch n she beat up my team badly

expresso is kind of a wild card and pretty mysterious, but reaally loves cacao and seems to like socks

socks is literally golden retriever but gets tired out emotionally and physically easily. likes expresso

jasper is very hot cold with his personality, can be very energetic and loud one day and the next is very calm and tired. he mirrors his trainers personality which is why they get along so well!!! will give any team members cuddles if needed

marble loves any clothes that are comfy and fluffy/soft!! kneads stuff like a cat, indulges in scenemo stuff with squeaks and makes kandi bracelets w them

SECOND TEAM

fanta is a dramatic theatre kid with autistic burnout. love the college student sleepless gender, go boy give us nothing. he absolutely LOVES saffron to death

turaco is constantly worried about the fellow dumbasses (/aff) on their team and is constantly holding something healing on their person

kingfisher is super clumsy and verbally stims super frequently with cacao or turaco if cacao needs quiet no stimulation time. has a sibling like bond with turaco (hence their names both being birds, and their colors being similar! both flying types too :3) prone to echolalia

bubbles is very timid and quiet but loves cuddling with cacao and wrapping around him. bubbles tries their best to soothe cacao when hes having issues sleeping. bubbles has a sleepy mark so theyre extremely tired a lot of the time!!!!

kasib is always sticking her nose out at people and is very curious. she loves learning new things and stomps her feet (positive stim) whenever cacao infodumps to her!!! kasib is almost always watching anything interesting, but doesnt say anything so we'll never know if she ever has any thoughts behind them eyes/j

saffron is the team mom. she listens to everyones concerns and vents, sings lullabies for anyone whos having a rough bout of insomnia. she knows cacao has complicated feelings towards familial stuff, so she takes on the role of mom for him so he can feel loved. will definitely bring u your favorite food/plush/drink to calm you down

My very short very rambling Grease analysis

I love to hate that fucker (zuke). He makes me so mad /pos. His confliction between his image and what he loves is so contemplating. The way he begins to despise being around his friends but, as he starts to be true to himself, he appreciates them more and more. Makes me crazy.

I want to also mention: I LOVE COACH CALHOUN. The way hes genuinely interested in danny's potential and tries so hard to find a sport that fits him, its so wonderful. He and danny spend what must have been hours if not days going through sport after sport until they get to track. And when they do? DANNY LOVES IT. HE LETTERS IN TRACK AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

So why am i saying all this? Why am i hyping zuke up? Its because im sick as shit of people saying that sandy changing herself is a bad/antifeminist thing. Heres my two big reasons why!!

Danny changes himself for her as soon as she mentions something. He is desperately throwing himself at her feet as hard as he can. He wants to change first.

Sandy realizes that the way she has been, the goody two shoes, is inherently not who she is and is harmful to her.

Ive already gone over the first point, so lets talk about sandy some!! She realizes over the course of the movie that her backwards and stuck-in-a-rut way of life isnt getting her anywhere, she needs to be true to herself. She needs to get over her past and let herself be who she is.

Meanwhile, danny realizes the same! He was never himself more than when he was at the beach with sandy. He realizes that he doesnt have to ditch his friends to be himself and that he can keep his interests while still loving sandy and being a sweetie goofball with her.

i overall dont feel awful awful, but my head has been swimmy a lot. i texted po just incase they got sick too, they said for me to take care of myself, i know hes still pissed but it was nice at least, the slight concern. i expected an "ok" or nothing, honestly. I have been bing watching brigerton tonight and i see a lot of the good from me and po in peneolpoe and colin. it makes me happy. in verse i see a lot of the bad (and even some good, but still toxic) parts of me and po in IWAV with louis and lestat. bleh. i love and hate that i see us everythwere, that i see her everywhere.... i got super horny again today, being sick does that, for whatever reason. Ashswag, she keeps mentioning how much she cared for him yet the way ash seemed and felt more distant (mostly probably due to other things, he doesnt dislike her ofc! Why would he?) but maybe he just..never realised how she felt when he said some things and it really shows in her monologue+collage in the election arc's final voting, she had thought ash was going to vote for HER because she thinks, "why wouldnt he? We're best friende!" But he didnt, and i think the fact that she didnt even bring it up (canonically) to ash to convey how she felt afar from an arrow and a complaint that was drowned out by like, everyone talking in surprise that she just shot ASH, the one person she's constantly going "oh i care for him!".

She just seems to me to be very ready to.. well, do anything for ash, even though this is not the best relationship, she still does, both of them do, i dont doubt that ash would want to do anything to make squiddo happy, its just they barely communicate their feelings (since squiddo was so unsure that ash was actually considering her a friend and not "dead weight", she even thought he might just be using manipulation or smth smth recap thingy during vote) so ash doesnt see what's wrong and squiddo just never brings it up, which makes their relationship FLAWED but left it feeling so much more true, no perfect friendships exist afterall! (Im so not projecting)

THIS WAS AN INTERESTINF READ..... i respect these takes. Indeed, havinf problems and conflict in relationships are great motivations for character growth.....!! Interesting storylines....
