unless they specifically asked, you don’t get to tell a fanfic writer you think they mischaracterized the character by the way. because the second someone writes a fanfic about a character, that character becomes the writer’s own version of the character. canon is only a suggestion, but whether or not an author will follow it / how much of canon an author will take is entirely up to them. you don’t get to stick your nose in their world and tell them “hey this is not to my liking therefore I think you’re doing it wrong” when you can simply leave quietly and move on to something else you may enjoy

i only just found out about the "dire wolf" thing and i'm already tired of it

a basic modicum of research shows that they did not actually bring back dire wolves, they just spliced grey wolves to look like what pop culture thinks dire wolves looked like (specifically from Game Of Thrones)

granted, what they actually did is still genuinely really cool and an impressive feat of genetic engineering! but they did not even come close to actually bringing back dire wolves; we are still nowhere near the level of technology required in order to bring back an extinct species. the media is just oversensationalizing things as usual. please stop spreading misinformation.

It always fascinated me that when trans people took hormones, they. Worked. I mean this PURELY from a biological standpoint. We think of "male" bodies and "female" bodies as so different, but the reality is they just aren't. A human body will know what to do with the tools you give it, even if it's never had those tools before.

Put testosterone in a "female" body, and it'll know how to grow a beard. It just will.

Put estrogen in a "male" body, and it'll know how to form breasts. It just will.

It doesn't matter what the "original" sex was, a human body is a human body and it knows what to do. We were never different. We just think we are because we think it makes more sense. But it doesn't. I make way less sense, actually.

I think that's fascinating and kind of beautiful. Honestly
