Okay, review time!! If you are one of the oddballs who thinks you cant be critical of something you love I suggest you stop reading now before I ruffle your feathers. Iron flame, second in the empyrean series. I am gonna start with what I was not a fan of and then go into the shit I adored.

1) what in the actual fuck was the pacing of this book?? I can tell you what, it was non existent. There was none. Where I thought there was a lot of filler in the last book there was none in this one. We got snap shots of conversations and then *boom* more plot flew at you. The timeline of this book greatly suffered for it i think bc we end only a couple weeks, if that, after threshing, which happens sometimes in October. This book was actually so wild with times.

2) while it was a spectacular cliff hanger, xaden becoming venin pisses me off. Especially if Rebecca yarros isnt going to have him tell violet. Like if that small tid bit of a conversation we got wasnt him telling vi that he was venin then the entire romantic conflict of this book was rendered pointless and their going to be having the same fucking fight for the rest of the series and at rhat point I give up.

3) I understand that the revolution is trying to take down basgaith and make the world better or whatever the fuck but can someone actually formulate a real plan for me?? Because I feel like their mission is just, giving violet and xaden something to be pissed at each other about.

4) the entirety of cats character. I get that she was set up as a spin on the typical jealous ex. Like having her be bitter about xaden picking violet over her but OH WAIT it wasnt actually about the man it was about the crown, oohh not like other girls. Im a writer too I see the point. I dont care. I think it was trashy. If you wanted her to be a bitter spiteful ex then have her be a bitter spiteful ex, the whole crown thing was shallow.

OKAY haters your time is up now onto the shit that made my heart hurt with joy and sadness

1) xadens arc in this book. I really liked that he went from "transparency is never gonna happen" to losing his fucking mind over violet and giving her everything. I love feral men and he qualifies. I think his arc was really well done and i liked it.

2) I appericiate that violet stuck to her guns for this book. She wouldnt let xaden off without a fight and I loved that. She made him bow and scrape and I was eating it up. It was spectacular.

3) the throne room scene. Violet on the throne. "Im making a temporary point not a lasting vow of maschocism" xaden being feral.

4) that gets its own point actually, just xaden being completely feral this entire book healed a part of my soul.

5) andarna's little speech at the end where she was like "I waited for you violet" made me ugly cry. That was just so hopelessly good I loved it. Andarna in general heals my heart but that part was just *chefs kiss*

6) tarin being completely and utterly ready to eat people this entire book. Just, at every turn "I want lunch their pissing me off " was spectacular

7) every scene their squad was in. Rihannon, violet, sawyer and ridoc are my roman empire. Their bond is so amazing. The fact that they launched a rescue mission for violet. Rihannon being ready to kill xaden at every turn. Ridoc being so platonically and adorably in love with violet. Just- augh happy cries happy cries. I love it all. Their so special tbh.

8) I love xaden actually, just, the whole book every scene hes in lives in my brain.

9) I liked that we saw a small bit of violet being feral this book too. I hope that we get more of that in future books. I want more of violet losing her fucking mind. Hot, badass women covered in blood

10) Liam. Fucking Liam. When violet was kidnapped and Liam was there. Now, do I logically understand that he was a hallucination, yes, do i care?? No. He was a gift from Maleck I will be hearing no critiques on that. It was so fucking sweet and amazing. I love violet and Liam and Liam being dead so horribly breaks my heart. I loved Liam. Liams death lives rent free in my skull.

(spoilers obvs, but i will go as light on spoilers as i can because everyone should read these books theyre insane and i love them. but if anyone is interested in a more spoiler heavy explanation lmk in the notes and i will be happy to provide)

for starters the basics of harrow and gideon's relationship: harrow is a necromancer, and gideon is her cavalier, aka like harrow's bodyguard/loyal knight. and they go to this competition with other necromancer/cavalier duos to become a lyctor, but for the sake of this post lyctor lore doesnt really matter dont worry about the lyctor thing right now

basically yes in book 1 (gt9) harrow and gideon (aka lobotomy ginger (which 💀 oh anon, the layers to this. THE LAYERS)) are certifiably insane about each other but are not technically, through physical or verbal confirmation, romantically involved with each other by the end of the book. but the writing on the wall is CLEAR.

gideon is not in book 2 (ht9) for reasons, and now harrow is essentially trapped in space with ianthe tridentarius, another necromancer who was also at the lyctor competition in book 1. ianthe is a weird freak about harrow (arent we all), and harrow thinks ianthe is gross and lame. but in a way she is also, like, at least an iota of a weird freak about ianthe, but she mostly thinks she's gross and lame. theyre kind of like reluctant coworkers bc they do collaborate on certain things (👀 THINGS) and they might share a kiss here or there

oh boy and then there's alecto, stay with me here. without getting too much into dominicus lore, what you have to understand is that for a shit ton of generations, harrow's family has been tasked with keeping this tomb (a locked tomb, even) shut forever, and they don't know what's inside but they know that god put something in there that can never escape. so naturally when harrow was like 9 or 10 years old, she snuck into that tomb and there she finds this chained up, frozen corpse of a smokeshow of a woman, and that's alecto. and little harrow can appreciate the value of a smokeshow of a woman so she lowkey falls in love with her. meaning that throughout all of that prior fucked up little love triangle, harrow is also thirsting over this dead woman she stumbled across years ago

there's enough weird nuances and details with all of these dynamics that i could go on and on for ages but this is a most basic understanding. again cant recommend reading the books enough if you like insane dynamics!!

i think people r generally way too optimistic about how that initial seperation between them went. dean is awful to sam about stanford even years after he left and years after he came back!! hes still very visibly angry about it in s5 which is NINE YEARS after he left in the first place and refuses to even tolerate the idea it was a good moment for sam. i cannot comprehend how people think 22 year old dean had the emotional maturity to even let sam go without a fight, nevermind be supportive about it.

like. theres this amazinggg art on here of sam hitchhiking to stanford and all the comments are like 'erm that black eye would be from JOHN actually!' (side note but it is so funny to me how spn fans decide john hit them based on implication (which i agree w... to an extent...) but dean hitting sam onscreen multiple times somehow translates to 'DEAN WOULD NEVER DO THAT'. erm. okay.) 'nooo dean would've given sam a lift!'

and like. what show are you watching. if dean would've given sam a lift he would've done it to the bus station in moody silence and then locked the doors of the impala so sam couldn't get out to catch his bus to stanford and they would've started physically fighting for the car keys and dean eventually wouldve let sam get them and sam wouldve left. or something. but it would not be some sweet brotherly moment bc that directly contradicts canon <3

i do think the worst of the fight is between sam & john - that's always what's implied in canon - and in my head dean's just standing there stonefaced maybe refusing to even talk to sam until theyre left alone somehow and he breaks. but i also think dean hits sam at some point, will always have the image in my head of sam showing up to stanford w a bloody nose and fending off questions. (internally hes like no my dad didnt do this it was my brother so its fine. <3.) theres a scene like this in one of my fics so im just drawing from that. but. like....

idk how dean/john finds out. if dean found out before john, i think dean probably wouldve run to him about it in an attempt to get sam Not To Go as much as it would be nice if he didnt, so i reckon they have to find out at about the same time. i think sam is unsure what to expect from dean, who of course (as far as we see both in flashbacks and in canon) alternates between genuine care and support and angry, desperate possessiveness. he probably hopes for the best and expects the worst and gets the worst.

there r definitely lots of different ways it could go....maybe sam tells dean and dean tells john. maybe sam tells john without telling dean at all and thats how dean finds out which totally wrecks him. maybe sam tells them both at the same time. maybe sam never tells them and they find the acceptance letter. this is why stanford fight is sooo fascinating. i feel like i could write five different versions of it and all would be possible/interesting.

but whichever way, i just dont see dean as contradicting john. he generally Doesnt Ever precanon, this is established, he admits it himself, thats why its such a huge moment when he defends sam at the end of s1.....sam going on about dean 'protecting him' is 1. more subtle and probably to do with dean being the one to shoulder most of johns emotional baggage than the heller misinterpretation of 'john hit dean but not sam and thats what this means!!!' (tho i am sure dean did genuinely Protect sam sometimes including from physical violence. of course he did. this isnt to discredit that..i just emphasise the Sometimes.). and 2. partially just classic Sam Rewriting History (u always protected me from dad, from lucifer....girl he did those things very little certainly not always. know your worth sam winchester).

so if dean gives sam a very angry lift (to a nearby bus station...there is absolutely zero fucking way hes driving him to stanford and tbh i already find this quite unlikely but possibilities r interesting) its on john's say-so or at least not disapproval. which like. sure maybe. john certainly is concerned about sam's safety even after he kicks him out, checking up on him at stanford etc, id believe that hed want to ensure sam Gets there even if the fight ended up so bad he told sam he couldnt come back. tho hes stubborn and i dont think hed say it. so maybe itd be a case of dean kind of picking up that that's what john wants and complying even though right now half of him wants to never see sam again and the other half wants to tie him to the radiator so he can never leave. sorry i am literally brainstorming fic ideas in this ask answer now.

Its been forever since ive had an rp related anything so im a lil rusty, pls be nice and gimme some grace abt it 😔 i gotta relearn.

I, the creator of this blog, am 20.

I created this blog bc i got bored and wanted to engage in the arcane rp community cuz it looks like fun 🤩 and everyones interactions seem nice too.

Since i dont really think i could get the personality of any arcane character right (the closest i might get right is Jinx), i will be interacting as a random oc i have (hope thats okay).

In character i will try to make it a point to highlight everything in purple (even when interacting with others anonymously) just like this. When not anonymous i will be sure to sign off with the oc's name

Out of character i will leave things blank and normal perhaps even do ()s just to be sure cuz i might forget the colour when in character.

Update abt pfp: I did create it using Custom Cast. I didnt feel like putting my glasses on and didnt feel like deeling with another AI art pfp bc of my irrisponsible habits.

About the OC

His name is Azalea (after the azalea flowers his mother loved before she died to illness).

Hes 19 (i can and will rp him at different ages but baseline age hes 19)

He is an orphaned Zaunite

His mother died to illness when he was 7 while his father comitted suicide about a years later due to losing his wife. Azalea's father blamed him for his mothers death, calling him a malison (synonymous with execrate) due to Azalea pointing out his mother's unlikeliness of surpassing her illness and living. His father saw that as Azalea cursing or execrating his own mother, and couldnt handle the fact it was an innocent observation from Azalea. That wasnt the only time Azalea has witnessed a situation in which his words have so called "directly impacted" an outcome, leading him to believe he is a malison like his father told him before his death. He uses Malison like a nickname now, as a twisted way of honouring his late father and apologizing to his late mother for what he believes to be his fault in her untimely death.

Azalea is a tad chaotic, pretty mischievous, loves to "mess around" (if you can count trying to make people go insane whether literally or figuratively "messing around"), likes to be annoying if it gains attention on him (good or bad is irrelevant.), prefers helping behind the scenes rather than directly helping even if directly involving himself would benefit everyone, he DOES age regress to younger ages in his teen years and to age 7 (due to that being the year he lost his mother)

Honestly i also think that a lot of the romanticization of Ianthe vs infantilization/fear mongering of harrowhark is also that like... We don't really get to see Ianthe suffer the nastier parts of shit mental health. Like, we know she cries to sleep, for like a line or two, but we're not pressed against her intimacies and the inside of her head (hehehe pun intended) like we are with harrow.

It's easy to infantilize Harrowhark because we get to see her struggling, we get to see the thought processes that lead to her lashing out, we get to see her suffering through. Well, basically everything, more than we see her putting on the dignity, and even when we do, we generally get to see the lead up, or we are with someone who responds in kind (thanks gideon).

With Ianthe we basically *only* get the facade, even when the Issues Are Blatant, and even if when she lashes out she does her utmost best to seem in control, much like harrow. The other characters do Not Give A Shit, so neither do we, as readers, feel naturally inclined to it.

Plus like. I might be reaching, but sometimes i feel like tlt fandom needs a character to be "pathetic", or to suffer, in order to... Idk how to word this bc englishs not my first language, but essentially pay penance? In the fandom I see a lot of people who feel Uncomfortable recalling their fave did bad shit, and like, needing to either justify it for themselves or others by going "oh look how she suffers", essentially infantilizing their characters so they don't have to acknowledge the worst edges, which is a choice, I guess. They not only do this with Harrowhark, but also with Gideon, Pyrrha, Mercymorn, etc.

They also do the opposite, by rejecting the possibility of suffering for characters they consider evil, most notably with John. It's not possible for them to be over their heads, or for them to have made a mistake. Either they were deliberately planning it, or they deserved it somehow, or their actions *later* meant they retroactively deserved it, and may be pointed as the cause for it happening.

Which is... Uncomfortable, to say the least, even if I'm only latine.

I've sat on s11 long enough. Yes, I finished it. Yes, I'm procrastinating watching s12. But I've had a lot of thoughts towards the last couple episodes of s11 and how they wrapped everything up. A lot of thoughts...

For starters, I can't help but feel the last episode went TOO FAST. The 11min run time finally doing them in. I was begging them to sit on a couple more scenes instead of speed running through it. Flashback to s10's last episode which also had an incredibly RUSHED ending so I hope this isn't the future.

Me when its kai that almost gets zane to remember :0 Nice narratively since these two had more of a focus at the beginning of the fire chapter so I liked that they tied it back this way. I can't believe that they brought up the pink ninja thing. It's a nice season 1 callback and is a reminder to ME PERSONALLY that they still care and remember the earlier seasons. I'm aware this show has been going on for a long time at this point so I appreciate this kind of thing.

On the topic of Zane and Lloyd, there's something to be said about Lloyd being the one to go find Zane and try to get him to remember. The two lone wolf characters. They're underrated to me and I'm not sure how many people have picked up on the similarities (while also being incredibly different) that these two have.

If I had a nickel for every doomed ship lloyd gets, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. Ninjago writers are arguably better at writing lloyd's ships then the established ones which no im not salty about why do you ask???

Speaking of which, finally some jaya crumbs. For a ship that's canon yall get nothing I swear. I love that despite nya being a badass she was shooketh after taking out the ice dragon with the land bounty. And jay being like "you can let go now" was really cute. I love Jay being an asshole but equally important I love him being a sweetheart. The duality of man. And then Nya looking for reassurance in jay. PLEASE. SEE YOU CAN WRITE AN ESTABLISHED SHIP ALL YOU NEED IS MEANINGFUL CUTE MOMENTS LIKE THIS AND---*gets dragged away*

ok ok SORRY. Ninjago writers really have no idea what to do with jaya half the time when they dont have relationship drama. It should not be this hard...why do they struggle.

I really liked this fight scene vs the ice dragon in general. Kai regaining his fire was epic. Nya protecting her brother. HECK YES FINALLY NYA RETURNING THE FAVOR HAHAH. They both had similar arcs this season and THE THING THAT GOT THEM TO OVERCOME THEIR STRUGGLE WAS WHEN THEY WERE PROTECTING EACH OTHER WAAAAH.

Jay: Nya! You did it!! Cole: HAHAHA I knew you could do it!!

I still have a lot of questions on Nya being able to control ice tho. If its simply the fact she's able to control it by changing the physical property of ice to water then I'll buy it. But I better not see Nya manipulating ice. That feels....wrong. Like she's a badass but Zane is the ice ninja.

Its getting a little annoying how often Zane is written out of the plot. I wouldn't have minded much this season if it was a one time thing but...we already saw this with season 4. And then s5+ they found so many ways to just write him out of the narrative that its kind of a crime now and its PAINFULLY OBVIOUS WHEN THEY DO IT. I was so hyped during the fire chapter bc FINALLY he was getting something to do that was meaningful to the main plot. And then he's fridged. Again. I think I understand why Zane fans are so loud. He's done so dirty by the narrative. Unlike the other characters who the writers hurt and then give an emotional payoff, there is a severe lack of that with Zane. Its never about HIM. When they hurt Zane the focus is on how the other characters feel. It's grating on me. I know he's a nindroid but bro still has feelings huh??? What happened to how you wrote him in seasons 1-3?????

All I'll say is that they better continue his arc in the next season. How they handled zane in the final episode was the main reason it felt rushed to me. I was not satisfied with the closure to that. It wrapped up and ??? ok...so are we just going to ignore everything? We're just gonna quickly move on? Having Nya figure out that Zane was the ice emperor before even entering the fortress was a cheap way to ignore that character drama of everyone finding out mid battle. Like I get they were lacking in time, but uggghhhhhhhHHHH please the main conflict of the whole season GOT UNDERHANDED????

They literally sacrificed anything more with Zane to close off Lloyd and Akita and Cole and Krag. Which ok. They're never gonna see these two again, so I'm glad that they gave the appropriate amount of time and love for this send off.

Hold on lemme just. No. NOO. IM WEAK FOR CHARACTERS SAYING GOODBYE THROUGH PORTALS AAAAAAAAAAAA. Man wth. These two only had what 5 episodes? But Im too attached to them. The writers are afraid to write zane but they're not afraid to write cole. I swear he gets so many little subplots that are meaningful to his character.

Like mmm. My heart breaking over this scene. The internal dread of realizing that your effort to fix a situation was for nothing, I felt that in my fucking soul. BUT THIS DOES BRING UP AN INTERESTING THING.

Cole losing the traveler's tea did not matter in the end. In fact, if he didn't lose the tea those 2 npc's (who are so married fight me) would be dead, Krag would still be lonely and not find a new family, the berry that actually would get them home would not have been found. Like. HUH??? Bob ross there are no mistakes just happy accident moments, WHAT. Part of me does want to be like, oh so you backtracked on the consequences of actions, but hmmm. I dont mind this, it wasn't his fault that he lost the traveler's tea in the first place. Cole just took it upon himself to blame himself fix their situation. BUT CONTRASTING THIS WITH WU??

I love you Wu, but you're the whole reason everyone is in this mess to begin with. His action with aspheera WAS a choice he made, and he CHOSE to push the ninja that set the plot in motion, HOWEVER, unlike Cole the choice to fix his mistakes is taken away from him. And...idk how I feel about that. Wu is interesting cuz he does make an effort to want to fix everything he's responsible for. But the narrative and ninja don't allow him to. I feel they tried to wrap up his arc in the Kaiju Protocol episode, but Wu forgiving Pixal indivertibly felt like he was accepting that he should let other people deal with his mess. Was it the right call for the ninja to go to the never realm and not him? Ya maybe. But from a character arc perspective it feels like the lesson here was "let the ninja fix your mistakes". Cuz unlike Cole, Wu does NOTHING that actually helps fixes the situation. maybe that was the point??? i just don't particularly like that message's implication

Just an interesting thought I picked up on that has me wondering what the writers were trying to say with this. Accidental mistake = no consequences vs bad choices = severe consequences. But the former is allowed to "fix" it and the latter has to let others pick up the slack? Hmm. Food for thought. Or maybe im reading too much into it

after thinking about it they make a little more sense than i thought but Johann's twist still puts a spanner in the works sometimes. Edge of Disaster doesn't make sense if he only joined up between s4 and s5. but Dire Straits and Last Auction Heroes don't make sense if he joins up before that.

theres a couple of things that people have pointed out i didnt address, like there being no women. but i honestly think that's a sexism thing from the creators - they couldnt be bothered to go back and make new female models, then later realised that theyd made wayyy too many male ones so panicked and made the wingmaidens.

it's a problem thats existed since rob aired bc neither the Berserkers or the Outcasts have women among their ranks. (we see some women on Berserker Island in Somethings rotten on berserker island, but theyre not a part of the army).

there are basically only npc women on Berk, the Defenders of the Wing (and thats only because they recycled the "hiccup and heather in disguise" models) and Wingmaiden Island lmao.

like i dont even count the warlord lady because wow we got 1 woman. like i dont even see other women in their armies

which is a weird fucking decision since there were warrior women on berk this whole time

like theres less than id like but they are there, its a trend not an exception.

but for the in canon explanation tho, i think that maybe Dagur attempted to take the Berserkers backwards a bit, and maybe put all their women on defense instead of aggressive positions. he undid 50 years worth of peace with Berk because he felt that the berserkers had lost their edge, so he probably reversed some of the laws his dad made too.

I guess since the Outcasts are all criminals or descendants of criminals they might have some kind of civil war between the genders? or civil agreement to not live together. because i imagine theres quite a few assholes living there and generally historically women have been the target of said assholes??

as for like eret and drago and the warlords i guess the Archipelago is more isolated and has more progressive rules about women than the rest of the world.

the Hunters might have a more traditional view on women. i think that they have various settlements (ports, farming villages, etc) and thats where their women are. one of the biggest jobs for viking women irl was making the sails of the ships, so i think that probably took up most of the Hunter women's time.

Heather joining them might have been forced by Dagur, who at least recognises that Berk has produced a lot of formidable women warriors and possibly had to reassess some views after getting his ass handed to him by Heather and Astrid.

but again, the more likely reason is that the creators are just sexist.

a couple days ago i met a girl online in a trans discord, and she was cool! she kept bugs, and even knew all their scientific names, and seemed to be really sweet. she was also pretty much exactly my age, only two months older than I. we talked for about three days half flirting all throughout, her calling me gay and shit, before she started making comments about how "curvy" i was. of course, thinking since were just texting states apart and both too broke to bridge the gap, i shot back with "well thats just the top complimenting my figure, but if youre nice you can see without," thinking it was just playful, to a definitively positive response

a little bit later she said "I love you" then deleted it, which i thought was a dumb joke, so i said "i have known you for less than a week lmao" and she was like "lol i was just testing ur reaction." in my head, that was her testing if i was gonna say it back to be sure i wasnt gonna try and get obsessed and say it back i guess, but is obviously not the case looking back

a couple hours later, after what i thought to be "signs she wants to mess around", ex. bringing back up the "if youre nice" comment, and just being generally flirtier than usual, i go for it. she responds positively, but after a couple minutes says "okay wait can you keep a secret? my ex raped me"

of course we pause for a minute, i give her support and whatnot, and i ask "do you want to stop that stuff then?" and she says "im ace, but its cool" then continues being flirty, so i had assumed its just a complicated identity i guess? idfk. in hindsight, i shouldve stopped us immediately, but i didnt.

the rest happens yadda yadda thats not the point of the story, but it may be important to note shes the slightly more dominant one here, so i dont think i was super capable of forcing her hand into all of this i dont think... i hope. i dont know. i mean thats the point of this ask

i feel so fucking evil but in my head logically i dont feel like i was consciously taking advantage of her is it even more evil to want to be told its not my fault? i dont know, i feel awful, im tearing up as i write this with a pit in my stomach. if i was evil for this, how can i possibly live with myself? thats not a threat to commit suicide or anything, but just. an existential question. if i cope with it im even worse for ignoring what happened, if i dont then im wallowing in shame over a single night.

Oh sweetie I'm really sorry, that's such a stressful horrible situation to end up in. Even if you had done something wrong that would absolutely not be an appropriate response and the way you're feeling about it is not something you deserve to experience.

I know you're also worried about a biased perspective here but there isn't a way to tell your side of it that isn't, you've done a good job explaining your reasoning.

this girl sounds like she has really bad attachment issues and is absolutely taking that out on you.

As for being manipulative: the main options here are basically A) You weren't and even seemingly tried to cover a lot of your bases to make sure she was comfortable, or B) you played into things hoping to get reactions you wanted in a way that literally anyone else does in that situation, that's kinda just how flirting with people goes.

Realistic scenario: You had a communication issue and it got out of hand.

Worst case scenario: You maybe could have handled things a tiny bit better.

Pretend worst case scenario from social anxiety world: you are a such an expert manipulator you don't even realise it and then feel existentially guilty over it afterwards, you could manipulate your way into heaven and not notice and accidentally abuse god herself < this one isn't true

You told her you felt like you were taking advantage of her and she said you weren't. She said she can go if you want. eventually you blocked her (going) and her response was to make a burner account and call you a vile sack of shit and make you feel like a rapist and admit to everything you've ever done wrong.

Absolutely do not try and keep talking to her, that'll get SO SO much worse. There is basically nothing you ever could have done by flirting, sexting or asserting boundaries that could justify or is worse than harassment and block evading. I'm obviously sympathetic to her mental health issues because it's a situation that leaves you with a fucked sense of self esteem, but she was playing weird emotional games with you and then suddenly it's your fault.

Someone telling you personal information isn't something that makes you a monster for leaving them. that's something forced upon you that you then get blamed for "because I trusted you". EVEN if you pushed her in a way she felt uncomfortable with and never verbalised, you literally did not know that. you told her you felt like you were taking advantage of her and she said you weren't. so EVEN if you had hurt her she would be keeping that quiet and then using it as justification later, which is fucked and a terrible way to treat someone.

Absolutely the best thing to do in this situation is block, maybe try explaining the situation to any mutual friends but be prepared for maybe some fallout, and then try and forget. I've been in similar but less fucked situations and there's really nothing good that comes out of getting back involved with her.

someone screaming at you while you walk away from them isn't a situation you're making worse by leaving. blaming you for her relapsing in fucking horrible and something people do specifically to hurt someone, yes she sounds very emotionally hurt but girl you gotta get out of there yesterday if you haven't already. that's a situation that'll only get worse.

consider yourself lucky you only got grazed instead of taking the whole bullet. you did a good job trying to pick up on warning signs even if you sometimes ignored them. this situation isn't your fault and i guess isn't necessarily hers either. it's just one of those messy horrible situations that happens sometimes and feels like a joke. I've unfortunately been there many many times.

you're allowed to blame yourself for things you feel you *actually* did wrong, maybe like not communicating more clearly about what you wanted out of your texting, but stuff thrown in your face specifically to make you feel terrible is ultimately just feeling terrible for someone else. you're taking that upon yourself when you shouldn't. ultimately: feeling terrible won't help her either. you can beat yourself up all you want iut even if you actually had been evil and manipulative what goo would that do? and if she's trying to make you feel terrible then you're not redeeming yourself by hating yourself, you're just being miserable. it sounds like the best thing for her is to not talk again.

by the sounds of it you never told her you love her. it's absolutely not your fault she decided everything meant you did. you thought that was her trying to make sure you weren't too clingy, turns out maybe she was being a bit clingy (or maybe something else. idk, neither of us can read her mind). everything considered, you handled this really well actually.
