Too Far From Texas - Story Page

Summary: Stacey Barnett is a writer and a single mother. Her hands full with two daughters (one with special needs), a newly published novel, an extroverted best friend and a controlling ex-husband, the last thing she expects is to meet an international pop star.

When It Was Written: I started this story in 2016 when I was going through my own divorce, so it’s very personal to me. I didn’t actually finish it until 2019. Sometimes you write something that you think is going to be a big hit and when it’s not, it kind of crushes your spirit. While I knew this was not for everyone, I think because it was so personal to me, it was hard for me to take any criticism (and it still is, tbh). The title comes from the Stevie Nicks song of the same name, and her music is a big inspiration in this story.

The Characters and Face Claims: This fic is based on Real Harry (aka famous!harry). The story takes place when he’s just released his first solo album, although in this he never cut his hair, and his movie (which is not named) came out before the album. The face claim for Stacey is Rachelle Lefevre. She is 40. Her bestie Lorelei’s face claim is Tabrett Bethell. I did not use any other face claims, although most of the other characters are based on real people in my life - Stacey’s daughters are mine, her mom is mine, and her ex-husband is mine. I just changed the names.

Warnings: age gap (older woman), smut, angst, mentions of divorce, autism (child), seizures (child), insecurities, flashbacks, nightmares, mental health issues * Again, this mentions a lot of personal issues I had and was going through at the time. I am not exaggerating when I say this is LOADED with angst. You will get angry at the characters, especially Stacey. But please remember to have a heart, because she’s been through a lot and doesn’t always react the way you think she should.

It is I, swimming modern braime anon! Here is what I have so far, snipping up your "worst couple on god's green earth" post and using it as an outline:

they met while she was on her daily 5 am jog outside of campus and found him hungover on a park bench after a two week bender with coke in his pocket and 30 missed calls and 55 suggestive texts from Cersei.

She’s a college sophomore on a sports scholarship just trying to get through her classes. She’s managing but she also has insomnia so running and training her body helps.

She thinks he’s a bum but gives him her water bottle out of pity. She heads back to her dorm, where she changes into the the team logowear athleisure she lives in. t-shirt, hoodie, basketball shorts, leggings, all in combination, and of course parka. Socks regardless but sneakers or slides depening on weather. Or timbs in the winter, Wisconsin gets fucking COLD. Showering before grabbing huge breakfast and heading to classes.

A week later is the ribbon cutting on the new recreation and fitness center. Tywin Lannister's name is on the brand spanking new natatorium.

Jaime’s there bc he works at Daddy Tywin Roy’s multi media empire as a nepotism. He doesn't know what his title is. Director of management of talent, or talent management director, or something. Whatever.

He’s at the party bc again, nepotism, and also he has a bunch of swimming records on the books from the 00s when he was on the team there. He could not tell you the last time he was in the pool (he was burning out while setting those records, and then he got in the car accident and had an excuse to lose himself in cersei and booze and drugs and a bunch of pr girlfriends who thought they were his beard bc he was so disinterested in them. a real jude law's character in gattaca situation.

Anyway, he was drinking champagne and trying to decide if the high he would get from sneaking away to do a bump of coke would be worth the judgement from his father and had just decided he couldn't be fucked to care.

She's there because she's currently swimming and breaking her own records, in a Katie Ledecky-type situation of competing against herself in the women's races and being among the faster men. But she's there as STAR SCHOLARSHIP TALENT and is also very aware that she's so busy swimming that she's passing classes bc she can only afford to take "rocks for jocks" type stuff. anyway, oh baby she does not belong here. And also why does her dad have to be here too?

they meet eyes and immediately feel some kind of godawful connection they are Locked In now. He beelines over to her bc he subconsciously thinks she’s Mother Teresa but then verbally starts making fun of her for having a social climber daddy. She asks how his monthly detox at rehab was. They’re snippy with each other all night.

Next few days on Jaime’s end, Tyrion notices he can’t stop talking about how huge and strong Brienne looked in her dress. So big and fit? Just. I mean it’s like weird how she was so powerful and had also saved him in the morning and oh  remember how big Dayne was? Tyrion remember he had the 50 and 100 free records before I did, and he was HUGE and Brienne is so mannish like that. Strong. TOTALLYYYYYYY gross though ewwwww imagine if she was into me? and I had to talk to her and her awful father and her records and her swimmer's shoulders and. Tyrion yearns for death.

A few days later for Brienne, she’s getting coffee with Sansa after class. Sansa looks over to see who Brienne’s texting and goes why are you arguing with a thirty two year old man about whether he got touched out anchoring the medley relay at olympic trials thirteen fucking years ago?

Part 4

Michael wakes up in a golden haze.

He's a big room, yellow flowers growing a little everywhere, music instruments linger on the floor with the occasional broken arrow.

Apollo Cabin, Camp Half-Blood.

A window is open, the ray of sunshine passing through hitting him right in the face. Warmth settle over his body, like the light is hugging him.

Welcome home my son

The voice is a barely a whisper, only meant for those whose earring is keen enough to perceive it, only meant for the children of music.

Michael basks in the sunlight, acknowledging his father's embrace. He's still bitter about the whole "I'm alive but you didn't bother looking for me" thing but he can appreciate the effort.

He tentatively stretches, that empousai hit him pretty hard, only to feel great.

A little too much even for his accelerated healing. Either Will is a medical prodigy or his father really wants to be forgiven.

His eyes wander to the nightstand and he freezes.

On the little table is a bow, smaller than the standard size, specifically built for one person only.

The last time he hold his bow, he was falling off a bridge in Manhattan.

His siblings must have found it in the middle of the wreckage and brought it back.

He carefully takes the weapon, the wood fitting perfectly in his palms. At the very end of the it, there's a little engravure, a M and Y etched in the surface.

It's another part of him coming back, this bow holding so much memories.

Lee taking him to Beckendorf because the other bows were too big for him.

Hours after hours in the archery fields, hands bleeding red from shooting countless arrows until every one of them were perfect.

Enflaming the Ares Cabin from the flying chariot, Clarisse promising to skewer him.

Where was Clarisse now ?

Two years are a long time for a demigod, that insufferable war-addict could be in college or ashes scattered in the wind for all he knows.

He hopes it’s the former, he might have despised her but there is only one demigod Michael has ever wish died and that is not Clarisse. That title is reserved for Luke Castellan.

Now that’s someone Michael really wants to be dead. If he’s not, if he’s miraculously still alive…

Michael smiles, he does need a subject test to see if his aim is still top notch.

Light footsteps interrupts his murderous thoughts, followed by the sound of shoes hitting a wall.

"Ugh, finally ! Gods, why did I choose to wear baskets ? It sucks."

Will's distaste for any kind of footwear covering his toes, Michael can work with. It's a familiar ground, one he can travel on without stumbling. Maybe the only thing left from what he knew.

Will is fifteen now, a far cry from the thirteen year old boy he left.

Does he still like Star Wars as much as he used to ?

Does he still smile with all his teeth despite witnessing the slaughter of Williamsburg Bridge, leaving him in charge in horrible conditions ?

Lee, I failed him, I failed you.

Lee, who had been adamant that he would be a great older brother.

Lee, whose bed across Micheal's has been left untouched by his new siblings.

Does he have new siblings ? Or is it just Will, Kayla and Austin ?

Two fucking years

He's out of his depths. Why did he even thought of coming back ?

They managed fine without him, yet here he is, wrecking Will's world once again.

Even more, Micheal's eighteen. He's still reeling about getting compared to a twelve years old but that's not the point.

The point is that all the demigods he knew are either long dead or in college.

Annabeth, Percy, Travis, Clarisse, Chris, everyone is too old for camp, just as him.

Camp is a place for demigods to learn their capacities in order to survive in the mortal world. The cabins were not made to house demigods entering adulthood.

He tries desperately to hold his tears off, why would it matter to leave Camp ? He already left it a long time ago.

Because it's home, because it's familiar, because Michael missed Camp so fucking much.

Despite his best efforts, tears soak the sheets, his heavy breathing echoing in the cabin.

"Michael ! You're awake !", shoots gleefully Will, now in his beloved flip flops, before noticing the tears, "Are you okay ? Are you still hurt ? I triple checked before letting you go of the infirmary but maybe I missed something ?"

Michael furiously rubs his eyes, already red and puffy.

"I'm fine, thanks to you actually. Your healing really got better after I-", he wavers, "disappeared."

Will's joy diminishes drastically.

"Yeah, well hum, I got a lot of practice with the wars you know..."

His mind stops dead on its track.

Wars

"What do you mean wars ?"

Will winces, "A lot happened since you die-, disappeared I mean. Sorry, force of habit.",his young brother chuckles nervously, "But yeah you kinda missed a war."

He missed a war. He left Will with blood and monsters while he was doing tea parties with the other orphans.

"And dad got turned mortal... but he's a god again now !"

Michael's brain is going to go overdrive if Will lets out another bomb.

"Oh, I almsot forgot ! I'm dating Nico, you remember him ?"

"The son of Hades ?"

"Don't say that with such a tone ! He's a sweetheart, a little grumpy one very prone on conjuring skeletons, but nobody's perfect. Although in my very unbiased opinion, he's getting closer every day..."

As he watches Will rambles about Nico, Michael is relieved to see that some things really don't change.

Will's smile has remained the beautiful, pure, wide smile of his memories.

Story

This, in my deranged, delusional head, is a concept album that follows a single narrative from the perspective of a single person. 

It follows a rockstar who can't remember the day before, permanently in a state of amnesia, but felt entirely compelled to create, perform, and fall in and out of the obsession. He falls in love, obsesses over a muse, yearns to be remembered, to be immortalised. Over the course of the story, he explores his relationship to art, sex, politics, drugs, the ephemerality of life and music, and optimistic nihilism. 

The story is linear - with him finding meaning in the lack of meaning.

Observations of the world, questioning his place as an artist in the grand scheme of things. Does this even matter? He's trying to move on from her. He sees the hope in people, humanity, but where is it in him? Is art selfish? He doesn't know. He knows we don't know either.

Anyway, this was all for funsies. I'm excited for whatever album they'll release next, I am really pulling and praying for a bluesy/rock album. Get religious and political, have some epic references to mythology even, you know? Whatever they do, whether it's another 80s synth party, or electro ambience, or heavy metal, I'm sure they'll smash it out of the park.

Character Profile Tag

Because I've been working on two big report chapters recently and I miss him, let's do Anarac!

Full name: Anarac Fifth-Blood

Age: He died at 32, but existed for about ~7000 years after that, so I'm not sure how you'd count that

Gender: Cis man

Type of Being: Araunian

Appearance: A tall, gaunt man with berry-red skin, amber-brown eyes surrounded by dark circles, ears that come to a rounded point, and shoulder-length blonde hair usually pulled into a slightly unkempt ponytail. He looks older than 32 by a good bit. A wound encircles his throat, and though his head stays on, it's easy to infer he died by beheading. He wears a tunic of ancient make with some bits of light armor on his chest, forearms, and shins.

Way of speaking: Not much at all. Anarac rarely speaks more than a few words at a time. His voice is deeply strained and rusty with disuse. Without the enchantment that allows the crew of the Starbreaker to understand each other with clarity, his Janazi dialect is very antiqued.

Physical characteristics: Dude has top-tier crazy eyes. That's probably what an outside observer would notice the most. Anarac switches between looking through most things and focusing with an incredible intensity. Also, the way he moves is pretty jerky and uncoordinated, almost like he's not used to having a body to move.

Occupation: Even the dead (or these dead, at least) have to work, so he's the R.S. Starbreaker's onboard End expert.

Family: In life, he had two sons, Finlay and Baerdyn. The last time he saw them, they were thirteen and ten. He was never close with his parents. He also had an ex-wife named Eabain who never paid her fantasy child support.

Best friend: I wouldn't describe the crew of the Starbreaker as his best friends yet, but Izjik has earned that title. They haven't seen each other in a long time, since he's dead and all, yet he still considers her a pal.

Pets: None currently.

Relationships: The crew of the Starbreaker is who he's been interacting with lately. In his mind, he sees Faalgun as a responsible leader who frequently bites off more than he can chew, Nyda as easily the funniest person he's ever met, Kaulakri as a stuffy science type who's also the actual hand behind keeping the mission on track, and Pash as a misguided kid who someone really should've taught better manners to.

Describe their room: None of the ghost crew got rooms when the ship was constructed because they don't technically need them. They've carved out their own places, though, so Anarac's 'room' is a private corner between a supply crate and the wall. It's dark, with a little slit he can watch the cargo hold through. There aren't really any decorations, but he does work on sample sorting in there, so there are usually a few stacks of preservation boxes.

Items in their bag/purse/pockets: Honestly, nothing.

Hobbies: People-watching is a big one. He sort of remembers that he liked to cook in life, but he hasn't had the chance to try that out again yet.

Favorite sport: Another thing he remembers enjoying in life is dancing. Dance was a big part of communal Araunian culture, so he would've gotten a lot of practice in life. Maybe he'll work up the courage to try again someday.

Abilities/talents/powers: Anarac has been dead for long enough that, while he can feel pain on an abstract level, his brain has lost the need to perceive it as dangerous, so it doesn't actually 'hurt' him. Also, give him a situation where he has no choice, and my boy can kick some ass in a fight.

Fears: Everything? Ok, I'm only kinda kidding there, but Anarac is extremely skittish around any overwhelming sensations, since he hasn't had a body for 7000 years. He's scared of people because he still has the initial instinct that End is going to take control and make him kill them. He scared of the stars especially, because of End again.

Faults: His fear. It keeps him from reaching out or beginning to heal. Also, a bit of a minor one, but after being part of a hive mind, his sense of boundaries is a little eroded. He will 100% watch you sleep because what is that compared to watching you think?

Good points: Under all the fear and general creepiness, he has a heart of gold. Anarac does his best to protect and guide the people he cares about, albeit in his own way. Those dad instincts are very much present. He also has a genuine curiosity about new people and new ways of doing things.

What they want more than anything else: To find the lost Araunian afterlife and apologize to his sons.

Backstory: Winnifred was raised deep in a hidden forest village, amongst her fellow druids. Her grandmother was the archdruid of their circle and took to raising her after Winnie's parents went missing (aka the likely died horribly on an adventure.) Winnie lived a peaceful, but boring life in the village for thirteen years until eventually it was raided by goblins and everyone she'd known and loved was slaughtered before her very eyes. Winnie was captured by the horde's leader, a strange drow wizard who only allowed her to live because he thought she'd be the perfect test subject for his 'experiments'. She never learned his name, but since the event his face has haunted her nightmares. Winnie remained his lab rat for weeks following the raid. Eventually however her suffering came to an end when a band of adventurers came to her rescue. Apparently they were old friends of the family though she had never once met any of them. They freed her from the prison she'd been held in before setting fire to the goblins camp, killing every last one of the circle's murderers....Well all except for the drow...

Sometime after that Winnie was taken in by Arva, a half elf who just so happened to be the leader of her rescuers. She brought Winnie back to her group's hideout in Baldur's Gate's under city and for ten years Winnie learned how to survive on the streets, using some not so heroic skills Arva had taught her....

I actually have twenty-five chapters of the sequel (currently titled 'And Longer if I Can') written, and it'll introduce a lot of fun characters from the rest of the tmnt universe and will take place when Venus is thirteen and beginning to discover who she is as a person, a sister, a friend and as a ninja.

I haven't posted it yet for two reasons: As you know from reading the first one, I've had a lot of problems with losing or corrupting the original drafts and attempted rewrites for the sequel, so I have a lot of anxiety about working on the current one and have really, really been taking my time with it. The other reason is because I'm having a difficult time deciding how I want to resolve the main conflict of the story.

But, I do regularly work on it between other big WIP's, and of the ones in my folder it has the most work done on it.

My Review: Vetter said it best when he wrote that he wanted to "portray the history of the 3rd Recon Battalion and its men in Vietnam in a historical, factual, and personal way." Well, I have to say Mission Accomplished! Few books are as unflinchingly raw in their criticism as they are in their effusive praise, but Vetter pulls no punches when he describes just how out of touch the chain of command was from the actual situation on the ground that the Recon Marines experienced. Whether it was Gen. Walts refusal to accept reality because he had his own agenda to push, or the lack of support, respect, and belief the teams got from their rear commanders. The criticisms of the Generals alone is well worth reading in this book, especially the excerpts where Vetter looks at the Generals articles in the Marine Corps Gazette and shreds them for how much they lack any credibility to what was actually occurring in Vietnam during those commanders tours. But this book is more than just that aspect, it also tells the story of the history of the unit from the early patrols to the last ones. Telling both the big picture overview of what was happening in I Corps, the fights with Westmoreland vs Walt over how to prosecute the war in I Corps, and the on the ground view of teams in action throughout the Backyard, Charlie Ridge, Leatherneck Square and on the ground at Khe Sanh. The stories from the survivors of missions gone hellaciously bad, to the stories of those who were lost forever, Vetter manages to piece together multiple viewpoints, sources, and stories to give the reader the full picture of 3rd Recon's time in Vietnam. This book jumps from academic facts to incredible story telling with ease, page after page, and it is truly one of the best books on the subject of this incredibly heroic unit in the face of an enemy in the field and an adversary in it's own command structure.

Currently reading: I have been slowly churning my way thru Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. 1950s Mexicana socialite must go investigate her cousin’s mysterious illness. the cousin lives in a spooky manor after she has married into the once-rich family of a British aristocrat, whose failed mining enterprise hangs over the town like a spectre. ALSO Tombs by Junji Ito—I very much enjoyed the title story and the one about the deep sea creature.

Currently watching: Recently finished Kingdom, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s a korean period drama with zombies. The king dies while the queen is waiting to give birth, and the current heir starts a coup. What do you do if you’re from the queen’s clan and desperately want to stay in power? Why, infecting the king’s corpse and turning him into a zombie sounds like a great way to buy time until you have a new heir. The costuming is excellent (THE!!!!! HATS!!!!!!) and the characters are genuinely so likeable.

Current obsession: I blame david tenant’s wonderful acting because after bingeing good omens 3 times in the past few weeks I have now returned to doctor who and am attempting to watch the 13th doctor. it’s fine. not the best quality writing. Im curious to see where this “lone cyberman” plot goes. the evil microplastics episode was silly. i want to know more about “ruth.” i liked the mary shelley bits, but I am slightly put off by the writers not letting thirteen think on the fly. ten always used to come up with these crazy schemes in the moment. meanwhile, in the mary shelley episode, they keep asking thirteen for help and she goes “yeah my brain isn’t working right now check back later.” like, hm. I don’t like the written in incompetence. or perhaps it’s the phrasing/set up of it that’s getting to me? it’s not that there weren’t challenges that were tough for ten, but the writers’ hand wasn’t so….evident? it always felt like big time lord brain working on the problem. now it’s as if they’re telling us “hush we haven’t gotten there yet so just deal with her being dumb no we will not give you more info yet or a satisfying reason for her to act this way.” i’m also not the biggest fan of the whole “oh look at me i’m talking to myself” jokes. I know they’re trying to make the character quirky and likeable, but the joke wasn’t funny the first time and now i’ve heard it like 8 times. save me. I have heard that her final season is better, so hopefully that’s true. I think I will be taking a break for now though so that I can watch more star trek lol

The Ledge #668

At first glance, the latest installment of the cover song series is no different than any previous episode. Behind the scenes, though, serendipity is at play here.

Like usual, I had quitely filled my "covers" folder over the last few months. A few weeks ago, I had accumulated enough tracks to schedule the show. I could have done it at the end of April, or last week. Next week even. Or I could have held it over until June. But no, I was determed in do on May 23.

Then on my usual record store run last Friday I found a number of great Minneapolis garage rock records from the 50s and 60s. Most were compilatons, but I also found a Sundazed Music reissue of The Gestures' self-titled album from 1966. Hailing from Mankato, MN, they had a hit in 1964 with "Run, Run, Run", their debut single. I picked up this reissue, and loved it!

Fast forward to yesterday as I was looking at the various new releases for the week. I was excited to see that Beebe Gallini had a new record out called Begged, Borrowed and Stealed! Even better was the fact that not only is this a record of nothing but covers but one of their selections is that tune by The Gestures!!! So for this week's feature record of the week I have a whole set of tunes from this great record.

And as if that wasn't eneough serendipity for one week, I also came across a covers record by Australin ska-punkers The Resignators, which includes a cover of "Teenage Kicks"!!! I swear the universe set up both of these acts to release these records just for me to air them this week!

The Orioles At A Glance- The Baltimore Orioles are back in the playoffs, but fell short of the division title to the Yankees. The Yankees clinched with a win over the Orioles last night and got into Minneapolis late. They will try to set-up their pitching rotation for the playoffs and get regular guys some rest. Anthony Santander is having a great season with forty-four homer and 101 RBI. Gunnar Henderson is a young star emerging in this league with thirty-seven homers and ninety-one knocked in. Jackson Holliday has struggled in the Majors with a .174 average and just five homers. The Orioles starting rotation owns a 3.80 ERA, which is eighth-best in the big leagues. The bullpen has struggled at times with a 4.26 ERA. The Twins will get to see Cade Povich, who they traded away for Jorge Lopez. He has a 5.59 ERA in seventy-four innings. Yennier Cano has become a solid reliever with a 3.20 ERA and thirty-four holds. Danny Coulombe has a 2.20 ERA this year.

The Twins At A Glance- The Twins had their chances in the series finale with the Marlins and ending up losing in thirteen innings. They will close out the string this weekend at home. The Twins elimination number is one, so any losses or Royals/Tigers wins would eliminate them. Matt Wallner was put on the injured list earlier this week with left oblique tightness. Jose Miranda was scratched from Thursday's lineup with a back injury. Carlos Correa has a .351 average since returning. Kyle Farmer is hitting .349 in September. Carlos Santana has hit four homers and knocked in twelve this month. The Twins bullpen is taxed. Everyone except Louie Varland threw on Thursday and I don't know who is available for Friday's game. Justin Topa and Caleb Thielbar are the only ones, who haven't exceeded thirty pitches over the last three days.

What To Watch For- The Twins were swept in mid-April in Baltimore. The Orioles also swept the Twins at Target Field before the All-Star Break last season. Baltimore has won seven straight games over Minnesota. Pablo Lopez is (2-0) with a 1.06 ERA in three starts against the Orioles. Bailey Ober is (1-0) with a 0.69 ERA in two starts against Baltimore. It sounds like Kody Funderburk will get called up on the Twins roster. There isn't a corresponding roster move announced just yet. The Twins are finishing out their disappointing season and the Orioles are getting ready for a postseason run.

How do you come up with song titles for your fake albums?

I love your fake tracklist for Reputation (Country Version) esp. Way better than the song titles being “King Of My Heart” and “I Did Something Bad” both of which are very on the nose in a bad way and I’m trying to make more interesting song titles for my fake Taylor albums + actual songs I’m writing.

alright!!! honestly, this really boils down to two things

Just like many other things in my life, my fake title habits are a result of me listening to a lot of Bob Dylan. Especially during the Bringing It All Back Home – Highway 61 Revisited – Blonde on Blonde run, he had some pretty zany titles. "Bonnie and Clyde (Revisited)" is directly inspired by Highway 61 Revisited, and "Ballad of Liz Taylor" is based on "Ballad of a Thin Man" (funnily enough, Olivia Rodrigo mentioned that "ballad of a homeschooled girl" is named that because of this exact song). Generally speaking, looking at what other artists name their songs can help a lot! Just see what speaks to you and intrigues you. However, my appreciation for Bob Dylan titles largely is the result of one specific thing about his title habits, which is ...

Not constantly picking song titles from the actual lyrics. TTPD arguably has Taylor's "whackiest" song titles – they are quite long and she experiments with punctuation and format quite a bit. Nevertheless, all titles are picked from actual lyrics in the song. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I personally just find it super intriguing when a song title isn't taken from the song itself but instead speaks to a larger idea that the song may be based on. (Though many of my favorite titles are actually just lines from the song.) It's not a super exciting title, but "Thirteen" by Big Star comes to mind: the title is never said in the song, but it sets the stage for what the song is about, namely young love. "Bros" by Wolf Alice does the same thing (and "Don't Delete The Kisses" is a BEAUTIFUL call to action when paired with the song). The title "Abbey" by Mitski references the religious/spiritual undertones of the song but also does a great job at capturing the sound of the song. "400 Lux" by Lorde is another great one. I also love when artists namedrop themselves in a title ("Bob Dylan's 115th Dream") or when the title describes the kind of song you are about to listen to (anything with "Ballad of ..." or "... Blues" in it).

I hope this somewhat helps? Ultimately, if you have a great image or line in your song, it's great to go with that (shoutout "The River" by Bruce Springsteen or "Expert in a Dying Field" by The Beths), but if you want to get a little funky with it, maybe the tips in point 2 can help? And always keep your eyes peeled for titles that sound great to you and move you and strike a chord.
