Because Chenford day is Tuesday
Wasn't picture perfect, it was just a Tuesday
Because their relationship started in a car
At the third red light on La Ciénaga
...
In your two door Ford thinking those three words
Light turned green then it started sinking in
I kinda might, sorta like, love you a little bit
Because she kissed him before they went undercover and Vegas happened
I know that I told you that we should just be friends
But I don't think I can, not when I feel like this
Try to fight it but the truth is
I kinda might, sorta like, love you a little bit
...
You stole my heart right off of my lips
Think it just hit me when I started kissin' ya
Because he was an ass and she irritated the hell out of him when they first met
Caught up in the moment, went by so fast
Either way, I felt it, can't un-feel that
I ain't gonna lie it's a real weird time for stars to align
Last place I would think
I would start to fall I guess I'll call it lowkey meant to be
#this song is so chenford#i might have to write a fic#love you a little bit by tanner adell#the rookie#chenford#lucy chen#tim bradford#Spotify#i had to add to this becauee I listened to the song again and found more#la ciénaga is a highway in la#i know it says ford#(tim drives a chevy)#there's so much chenford in this song i can't

cowboy cowboy 🍒🥧🤎
ib layout: @beforeimdeceased
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ sfw
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who sees you pulled over to the side of the road looking into the hood of your old truck. he sees you standing in front of it with no clue of what is wrong.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who’s voice is sweet and warm like apple pie. his dimples have you giggling like a high school girl.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who refuses to take your money after fixing your truck, but does say, “i think a home cooked meal will do the trick, sweet girl.”
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who shows up to your door in white shirt and blue jeans that hug his legs in all the right places. he has a bouquet of wildflowers wrapped in newspaper and you swear you could kiss him.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who could instantly melt seeing you in an apron with a floral dress underneath. the porch light shines the color of your eyes just right and he wishes he could stare at them forever.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who blushes when you pull him into a hug giving him a chance to smell your perfume.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who sits at the table and watches you do your things in the kitchen. you’re babbling about your job at the local nursery and he can’t help but admire how animated you get while talking.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who wishes he kissed you that night after dinner, but he promises himself next time.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who talks real slow ‘cause his uncle is in the other sleeping before work.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who takes you driving through the backroads. you’re sitting shotgun with your hair undone in the front seat of his truck.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who lays with you in the back of his chevy truck to look up at the stars. when he looks up, he just stares at you with love and whispers, “the way your eyes shine puts these indiana stars to shame.”
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who promises to build you the life you dream of. he probably can’t buy it but he will try his hardest to give you everything you deserve.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who kisses you that night under the stars. it’s passionate and breathless. his rough hands hold you close to him as if he’s scared you’ll disappear.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who’s favorite thing to do after a long day is sit on the porch swing with you cuddled into his chest. he will sometimes smoke a cigarette or sip on some warm honey tea you made. (it’s usually the tea lol).
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who stopped his truck during a tim mcgraw song and dragged you in front of the headlights just to slow dance. your head laid on his chest and it suddenly felt like home.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚ nsfw
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who has you pinned down in the back of his truck. his mouth leaves sloppy kisses on your neck while he thrusts deep inside you.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who whimpers when you pull his hair while his tongue laps around your clit. his rough fingers fill up your hole having you cry tears of pleasure.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who makes you rub yourself against his bulge when you give him an attitude. he sits back smoking a cigarette while you cry and leave marks all over him — begging him to have his way with you.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who ties you up in the barn and has his way with you when he needs a break from working. the warm breeze hardens your nipples making eddie lose his mind.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who is the sweetest man ever to your parents only to have you bent over the sink while you’re washing dishes. you see his reflection in the window with his shirt unbuttoned and sweat dripping down his chest.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who wants to make you barefoot and pregnant so always finds a chance to fill you up. loves to watch his cum leak out of your abused pussy then uses two fingers to fuck it back inside. doing this only makes him hard again, “gotta make sure it stays inside sweet girl.”
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who watches you from across the ranch. you’re wearing your a cami with your panties — his favorite too. he has his hands on his hips with a smirk on his lips. you’re “watering the flowers,” but he knows damn well what you’re doing. “saw you lookin’ so cute from other there. think i don’t know what what you’re doing?”
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who isn’t giving you enough attention so you lay in his truck with nothing on. he hears your whimpering along with your wet pussy being fucked by your dildo. he’ll stand in front of the door and lean in making his muscles more prominent only sending you over the edge. eddie eddie eddie is all he hears. he licks his lips when he sees you cum all around the toy.
ꕥ cowboy!eddie who sits you at the edge of the tailgate with your legs wide open for him. your fingers are buried in his head of curls. his hand reaches up for your tits when his tongue flicks your clit. when you try to hide your moans, he squeezes your cheeks open with his rough hand then slaps you. “next time it’ll be harder if you don’t let me hear those pretty noises.”

oh sick a car appreciator. what cars would u have based the redbird on?
oohhh im glad u asked... to preface this btw im a car appreciator not exactly an. expert. i love old (40s-80s) cars (i grew up w/ my dream car being an aqua 1965 mustang convertible) but im not like. incredibly knowledgeable
that being said :] ! onward with redbird thoughts
shes supposed to be a rear engined sporty little coupe. modified to high hell. i would wager the rear engine is more so that tim can have weapons (missiles? grenade launcher? a fucking flamethrower?) under the hood and less actually thinking abt what a rear engine could DO for his driving experience at the ripe age of 14. its got a lowered chassis (rear-engine has a lower center of gravity, and if its a rear-wheel drive then overall its saving even More space cramped in the back, and probably has a better "grip" on the road) and apparently has pop out scoops for better airflow.. probably for the best.
its also got a bulletproof windshield! and blacked out windows! are those even legal in jersey? no! the tire shields are fine i guess
my problem with red bird is that shes just a little ugly. like there are things in the body of this car that have potential (i like the pop out scoops but they make the overall silhouette of the car look sort of . back heavy in a bad way) but ultimately fall flat.
so im gonna look at some cars that i think still sell the look they were going for!! FROM his time period even!!
the ferrari testarossa (produced from '84-'96 and im looking at the late 80s/early 90 ones here)
this is my ideal car to base redbird on. its a mid-engine, which has the best overall center of gravity, and while it limits cabin space its not like we were worried abt tht with tim. its still a 2 door sports car with a low chassis. the air scoops dont need to pop out, it has room in the back for the drag 'schute that they wanted to include, and has the room in the front too. also! she looks KILLER in red<3
the pontiac firebird trans am (1993) + chevy corvette ('90 red c4)
this is included in case we do not want to look at ferrari. sporty! red! coupe! i have less to say abt these ones honestly
i could just start naming other sporty coupes but my point being like.... theres cars of this era with the look theyre going for that look perfectly fine in the three different price ranges (general motors making pontiac as their low-tier, chevrolet as their bigger make) and ferrari at the luxury tier
ik 15 years later tim gets a new redbird (2008 i believe) and i do believe they WERE referencing real cars for redbird i simply think. it would not look like that. and didnt have to! less is more. if you want a cool looking aerodynamic sports car then she should look sleek. redbird drawn in the comics doesnt look sleek she just looks silly </3
ultimately i dont want to change her too much from being tim's (say it with me) sporty little red coupe. because thats not a bad thing for a car to be! i just dont think there was that much thought into what the car should look like aside from looking at a picture of a sports coupe and going "ok now add a flamethrower and a parachute"
#IDK IF THIS WAS WHAT YOU MEANT ... sorry. but ty for asking i just spent over an hour looking at cars#asks#dd 🫀#ultimatecryptid#i LOVE muscle cars and older 40s-50s cars especially#tim drake#rook.doc#redbird#ref

since i’m in tim gutterson posting mode i wanna give some commentary to some of His songs on The playlist
cocytus - i mean it’s the first song on there for a reason. if i ever write a tim fic, lyrics from this song will be the title. the lyrics are so his inner battle imo. so many thoughts. bye. “where can i run, where it cannot chase me down?”
american idiot - literally tim like all the time. i think he liked this song without really knowing what it was saying but then it got too personal. i have a lot of green day in the playlist but this one is for sure the most relevant to him.
ironic - i can so imagine tim blasting this song in his chevy suburban.
big black car - somewhat related to the chevy suburban. but definitely one of his one sided pining for raylan songs. ouch. “heartbreak, you know, drives a big black car”
wrecking need - ugh this whole song is him. thinking he’s unworthy of love because of where he’s from and who he is. i think it’s also alluded to that tim has problems with alcohol which this whole song is about. “i know you got it bad like me, that wrecking need.”
dirty work - really self explanatory but especially related to raylan and art. since he’s overworked and underappreciated.
the tourist - i have a lot of radiohead on this playlist, but this is the most tim song on there right next to “blow out.” tim would 100% be a radiohead listener.
i could do more but those are the real standouts. i literally listen to this playlist more than my liked songs. it lives in my head rent free.

Journeyman Appreciation: Tim Fedewa
It has been too long since I have done one of these posts, so I thought Throwback Weekend is a perfect time for some journeyman appreciation. Today the spotlight is on Tim Fedewa, I think one of the best Busch Grand National Series drivers of the 1990s who never got a full-time ride at any point in the Cup series.
Coming out of Michigan from an accomplished regional racing family, Tim made a splash in the ARTGO and ASA series in the early 90s where he won Rookie of the Year in both series driving for Ray DeWitt who notably was a Cup series owner at the time who gave fellow upper-midwesterner Ted Musgrave his big start in the series, though Tim only finished 15th and 16th in points his two seasons of ASA before being given the chance to move up into NASCAR.
Running in the Busch Series for DeWitt, Tim had 4 top 10 finishes as a rookie, finishing a decent 18th in points in 1993 and runner up for ROTY. He doubled his number of top 10s in his sophomore season and scored his first top 10 finish in points coming through in 10th. In 1995 his number of top 10 finishes halved but he scored double the amount of top 5 finishes (4) than he had his entire career to that point (2) and went to victory lane for the first time at Nazareth Speedway in Pennsylvania en route to a 7th place finish in points. Tim also made his one and only Winston Cup start in 1994 in several attempts for Ray DeWitt, coming home with a 23rd place finish at Dover 13 laps down.
1996 saw Tim Fedewa leave the RaDius team for Doug Taylor’s Ford, which despite Kleenex sponsorship would be a wildly disappointing year featuring career lows in top 10s (2), average finish, and points standings in 20th. This wouldn’t end the association with Kleenex though who followed Tim to his next destination and best opportunity to this point, taking over a second car for the championship winning BACE Motorsports team driving a number 33 Chevy. This allowed Fedewa a return to form, matching his career high in top 5s and easily scoring a career best top 10 high with 11 and returning back to the top 10 in points with a 9th place finish. The next year produced numbers very similar to 1997 with the addition to returning to victory lane for the first time since ‘95, once again at Nazareth and at the Virginia short track of South Boston and he tied his career best finish of 7th in points.
1999 saw Tim move over to the 36 Stanley Tools Pontiac for Scott Welliver that David Green had been very competitive with the year before, once again putting in similar stats (3 top 5s, 9 top 10s) but seeing a high number of DNFs taking down his average finish several pegs and coming home a disappointing 14th in points, his lowest since his year with Doug Taylor. 2000 would see Tim win his last career race and cement his legacy as a flat track master at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but his top 10 count (6) dropped, the number of crashes ticked up, and in legendarily one of the most competitive fields the Busch Series ever had that year he managed only an 18th place finish in the championship.
Switching over to the more successful 66 car Todd Bodine had made a legend of the era for 2001, Tim struggled mightily other than a couple top 5 finishes and was replaced almost exactly halfway through the year with Geoffrey Bodine. This began the “supersub” era of Tim’s career, in the second half of 2001 Tim would race for 4 different teams, scoring top 10s for Buckshot Racing and Armando Fitz. In 2002, Tim would race for 5 different teams in 9 starts most of which came with Ted Marsh and Herzog Motorsports (3 each), with his best run famously coming in a Biagi Bros 2nd car that was meant to start and park at Talladega with no pit crew before Mike Wallace in their primary car was involved in the field destroying early incident, allowing Tim to run the rest of the race with Mike’s pit crew and tires and coming home with a 3rd place finish despite being unable to stay in the draft and receiving burns on his feet with the poorly prepared backup car.
Over halfway through 2003 Tim Fedewa hadn’t made a single start in NASCAR when the FitzBradshaw team decided to part ways with Kerry Earnhardt and asked Tim to fill in, no doubt inspired by the 6th place finish at Memphis Tim had managed in his lone start for Fitz. Although he finished no better than 12th, he improved the team’s consistency enough to earn his first full-time ride since 2001 in 2004, scoring a top 5 and 5 top 10s in what would be his last complete season and coming home 16th in points. After switching to Dodge, the team took a nosedive in performance the next season without a single top 10 in 21 races and a number of accidents, and Fedewa was let go after Pikes Peak which would be his last ever BGN start, qualifying 23rd and finishing 18th.
While Tim would make 8 starts in the Truck series in 2005 and 2006 with a best finish of 10th for the fledgling Glynn Motorsports at Las Vegas, his career effectively ended after that point. If that was totally the end of his run in NASCAR, I think its safe to say he’d be fondly remembered as one of the best journeymen of his era who never competed for titles but won some races and scored a number of top 10 points finishes against a number of drivers who would find themselves getting Cup opportunities that largely alluded Tim. However, he wasn’t totally done, not long after finding himself with a spotting job with Red Bull Racing, that eventually led to the pairing with Kevin Harvick and Stewart-Haas Racing that resulted in an overall championship, a regular season championship, countless wins, and a reputation as one of the best spotters in the entire business in high demand in all three series as well as ARCA

Batsis and her siblings bonding moments. (Quotes from Supernatural)
Tim Drake
Tim and Verena sat next to eachother infront of the batcomputer. She had needed help tracking down a monter that was killing men at the side of the road. Each time she tried to type something the more she could feel annoyance from her younger brother. Finally he snapped
"Dude!"
Tim said before pushing her chair away from the keyboard. Verena gasped slightly before looking at him with suprise, before hitting his arm and scooting next to him.
"Man such a control freak"
Jason Todd
The load rumbling of Verena's 1967 Chevy Impala helped with the tense atmosphere. Jason had just started to come around the family again after being dead for a while. Seeing as it was coming to much for him, Verena asked him to join her on a hunt.
"You wanna drive for a while?"
She asked while quickly glancing at him then looking back at the road. Jason looked at her with wide eyes and scoffed.
"Verena your whole life you never once asked me that"
Verena rolled her eyes while shrugging her shoulders.
"Thought you might want to. Nevermind"
After a long and bloody hunt both sibling sat on the hood of her impala. Jason holding his side looked at his older sister. Memories of her sticking up for him and actually letting him have a good childhood played through.
"How about in the mean time...I'm driving"
Verena with a bruised eye looks down at her keys before tossing them to her younger brother. Who was excited to drive The Baby.
Cassandra Cain
For the longest time Cass thought Verena despised the young girl. Cass thought that she was taking a title of being the only girl away from Verena. Until the older sister invited Cass to a hunt. Verena understood life of a Vigilante would be stressful. Hunting Supernatural monsters was a stress reliever to the bat family. On a hunt for the bloody Mary. Cass had looked into the mirror. Verena smashed the mirror and rushed to the young girl. Gently looking at Cass, she took in the damage and felt guilty.
"Cassandra?"
Cass looked up and saw love, care, and connection between both girls. So with a pained smile she whispered out
"Cass"
Verena sighs out in relief before wiping away the bloody tears.
"You okay?"
Cass nodded before hugging her older sister.
Duke Thomas
The newest addition to the bat family didn't know about the oldest. It wasn't until she popped into the kicthen as he struggled with his math homework. Duke was about to start a fight with her until Damian stopped him and explained who she was. Verena smiled at him and collected his work.
"Come on, let's get you some grub"
With his stuff in her hands, Duke followed her to the baby. Then went out of town to this rundown diner. Verena smiled at the waitress and went to her normal spot before tossing his homework across from her. Duke soon got to work again. Food and drinks were ordered, Verena helped Duke as she noticed this hanging toy. Pulling the string the fisherman laughed until Duke pulled the string again making it stop.
"Pull the string again and I will kill you"
Turning back to his paper he doesn't see the impressed look on her face. Reaching up she pulls the string again.
Richard Grayson
These two have been through everything together. Dick can remember all the nights that he woke up from nightmares. She would be right there protecting him. She would always be there to drop him off and pick him up from school. They would go to the kitchen to cook and bake food for them all. Of course until Alfred banned Dick from the kicthen.
After a very poor plan dick made that could have had him killed. He rested ontop of the old Wayne tower. His phone buzzed making him reach for it and whinced at the name.
" what were you thinking?!"
Her voiced mixed with her impala the he knew was on its way back to gotham.
"I had a plan!! It worked this time!"
Dick tried to reason with her other the phone.
"This time? What if it didn't work this time!"
Dick paused for a moment and tried to think.
"Huh the thought never came to mind"
The sound of her hanging up on him caused him to pull the phone away from his ear.
"The thought never came to mind"
Verena scoffed and threw her phone in her passenger seat. She ran her hand down her face as she pressed on the gas. Her mind reeling as she blinked away the tears.
"Imma kill him"
Damian Wayne
Bruce Wayne was missing for a couple of weeks. Alfred called Verena to inform her, so as she worked on tracking him down the boys took care of Gotham. Verena got an idea as to where he might be, she collected her bag and informed Alfred. Once she got in her car she saw Damian her blood related sibling sitting in shot gun. Informing the older boys that she got him, Verena took him with her.
" where are we off to?"
Damian asked after 2 hours of listening to loud and heavy music. Verena turned down the music.
"Pittsburgh, there we will find him and take him back home. If not we will find him in another place"
Damian scoffed and folded his arms.
" like Father is so easy to find"
Verena looked over at him and shook her head.
"Your a real smart ass you know? Don't worry, a lead will pop up there"
Damian looked at her skeptically.
"How can you be so sure?"
Verena shrugged before turning into a diner to get food as she heard her younger brother stomach grumble.
"Because I'm the oldest. Now let's get you some rabbit food"

batfamily driving headcanons:
-dick failed his driver's test twice and passed on the 3rd try. he considers stop signs a suggestion and goes 50 miles over the speed limit. he probably drives a silver 2016 kia soul
-jason never took the test bc dead people things <3. he is an excellent driver and has never been pulled over so his lack of a license has never been a problem. he drives a green 1997 toyota camry. he has to jiggle the key to get it to start and the child lock won't turn off but that's his baby
-tim can drive he just doesn't want to. he gets steph to drive him places and gets upset when someone messes with the settings on her passenger seat bc he finally got it just the way he likes it. he owns a black 2020 chevy malibu
steph passed her drivers test on the fifth try. she also considers stop signs a suggestion but unlike dick she goes 100 over the speed limit and puts her make up on on the expressway. tim is her co-pilot he passes her whatever she asks for out of the glovebox. she doesn't have her own car, she drives her mom's silver 2004 toyota corolla
-duke hasn't taken his driver's test yet and uses his textbooks to fix the wobbly desk in his room
-cass cannot drive and does not want to learn. if the destination is too far to travel on foot she will simply prove you wrong or get somebody to drive her
-i firmly believe without a doubt that bruce thomas wayne cannot parallel park to save his life. he hits both cars and bumps the curb. when picking anyone up from anywhere without a parking lot he gives them a time to be ready and if they are not they risk getting left. dick thought he was joking until he had to walk home from school one day bc a car behind bruce honked their horn and he panicked. he drives rich people cars idk
-damian is the best driver in the family bc league of assassins training but they don't let him bc he's like 10. when he turns 16 he passes his driver's test on the first try and for his birthday bruce gets him the latest gmc yukon xl in black

It Was All Yellow {Jason Todd x Reader}
MASTERLIST
REQUEST HERE
Word Count: 2,424
Request: Jason or Damain finding you, the happy girl, singing a sad song and crying while on patrol. If possible, do you think the song could be If I Could Ride a Bike by Chevy? Thanks, you're a godsend <3
A/N: Sorry if this wasn’t what you imagined, hope you like it anon!
I LISTENED to the sound of own heartbeat. It echoed loudly, and I looked over at Jason, fearing he would wake at any moment. He had fallen asleep almost as soon as we got to the apartment. I didn’t blame him, almost every night he was working himself to death. Crime rates increased with every new vigilante. The work never seemed to stop. No matter how much we tried it seemed like Gotham was the same as we left it the night before. I watched as his chest slowly rose then fell. His face was expressionless, his usual smirk was gone.
Jason was sore, I could tell by the way he moved he was in pain. He tried his best to hide it, but I noticed it. I noticed that he hot showers to try and ease the pain. The steam flowed from under the crack over the door, and found its home on the mirrors and walls. Every night before he went to sleep he would sneak into the kitchen and take ibuprofen. I could hear the pills rattling inside the bottles, and his hushed footsteps as he hurried back into his room.
This was the most peaceful I had seen him all week.
His head was resting on my lap. I pulled the blanket over him as gently as I could. It was only 8pm, he needed to sleep to recover. I didn’t have to worry about the boys waking him up. Jason had insisted on getting his own place. He knew I never felt quite at home in the manor, and let me stay with him.
I turned off the TV and leaned against the arm rest. I wanted to try and get some sleep too.
I woke up to the sound of Jason’s phone ringing. I looked around, and he wasn’t in the living room or the kitchen. My best guess was the shower. I grabbed his phone, it was Artemis. I bolted to the bathroom. “Jason!”
I reached the bathroom door and he immediately swung it open. He looked over at me. “What? Are you alright?” I held up his phone. He looked at the caller ID. “Oh shit.” He took his phone, and answered it, bringing it to his ear. “Hey.”
I looked at Jason, his hair was still soaking wet. The water dripped from his hair down to his neck, them his chest. He had his towel wrapped around his waist. I motioned I was going to go into the kitchen. And he nodded and closed the door. He spoke quietly. A few moments later I heard him move into the closet.
Artemis.
Artemis was a former teammate, and from the way Dick told it, they were more than that. I tried my best to push the negative thoughts out of my head. I started making breakfast when I heard a loud crash. “Jason?” I moved away from the kitchen and into the hallway. I heard rustling coming from inside his room. “Jason? Are you okay?” The door opened and Jason emerged with a duffel bag. “Have you seen my holster?” He didn’t look at me as he zipped up his duffel bag.
“It’s in the laundry room.” He moved past me and to the laundry room. He didn’t speak. He moved back and forth between the rooms collecting his things. “I paid this months rent. Alfred will continue the payments on my behalf just in case.” I blinked in shock. A month’s rent? Just in case?
“You’re leaving?” He stayed silent. He looked over the apartment, trying to make sure he didn’t miss anything. Finally he looked over at me. “I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He reached for the door and paused. He mumbled something under his breath. He turned back to me and pointed a finger.
“Don’t go out on patrol alone.” With that, he was gone.
------------------------------------------------------------
Dick had noticed a change in Y/N’s behavior. Normally, Y/N was the highlight of patrol. Constantly positive and bubbly, it made the night go much faster. But since Jason left, Y/N was quiet. No more humming, the laughter that had once illuminated the night was gone.
Not even Dick knew why Jason was gone. It was Jason didn’t want any backup, it was something he needed to do alone. He didn’t want to risk Y/N getting caught up in his mess. He was sending updates to Jason but he wasn’t sure that he was getting them. If Jason wanted to be alone, he knew exactly how to do it. He cut off all forms of communication and was consumed by the job. It had been 2 weeks and he was silent. No one knew where he was. No one knew if he was even alive. Roy informed Dick that Jason had stopped by for supplies. But he hadn’t heard anything since.
Whatever he was doing, he was sure to hide it. No news reports caught wind of his activities. For his sake, Dick hoped that Jason was on the right path. The last time Jason broke his promise to Bruce beat him until he was almost unrecognizable. Jason had even remarked he had never seen him hit the Joker as hard.
There was an insatiable anger in Bruce. He had trusted Jason to operate in Gotham under the condition he wouldn’t kill anyone. Then Jason went on national television and nearly killed Cobblepot, by shooting him point blank. The boys were at a loss, neither of them knew what to do. Bruce insisted on dealing with it himself. Jason only got away because Roy saved him. Dick wasn’t sure how they would stop Bruce this time.
-----------------------------------
Jason slung his duffel bag across his shoulder. He released a sigh as he stretched. He had been driving all night to get back as soon as possible. He had a lot of explaining to do. He had received all of Dick’s messages.
Let me know you’re alright.
Tim can’t track your location, just check in.
Jason we haven’t heard from you in 3 weeks.
Y/N’s not doing good.
He felt guilty for just leaving, but he had to. He knew that if he gave explanations then Dick would try and talk him out of it. It would give Tim more time to figure out how to track him. More importantly he knew if Y/N had asked, he would’ve stayed.
Jason entered the apartment. After being gone for so long it seemed almost foreign. There were a few noticeable changes. The curtains that were almost always drawn open to let in the sun were shut. More importantly it looked empty. Almost as if no one was inhabiting it.
There was no evidence of dirty dishes, no laundry, and everything was spotless. It was too clean for anyone to be living here. When he opened the fridge his suspicious were confirmed. There was no food. It was almost empty, apart from a case of water. He sighed, Dick was right. Things were not good. He looked around the apartment, trying to find any hint of where Y/N went.
The only thing missing, was a single outfit.
Y/N’s suit.
Jason decided to visit all the patrol spots he knew. Each one of them came up empty. Just as he was about to give up, he heard something. Jason stopped. He faintly heard a voice in the distance. It was barley audible, but he somehow caught it. He tried to find the source, he walked towards the stairs. It had to have been coming from the roof top. As he got closer, he heard an accompanying soft piano.
“If I could sail a boat I'd cruise across the sea. A sweet adventure for us two. I'll be Jack and you rose.”
The voice began to falter, there were so many emotions just begging to be released. Jason didn’t want to interrupt, in fear of the voice stopping. He didn’t walk completely up the stairs. He was mesmerized by the sound. He stayed at the bottom steps, as quietly as possible. It took him a while to process that he knew the voice.
It was Y/N. He had not ever heard Y/N sad. He continued listening as the voice grew louder. “Just please don't let me go. Cause I'll be nothing without you.” The desperation made Jason want to make his presence known. He wanted Y/N to know that he was there. He wanted to help, more than anything. He slowly walked up the stairs. “Oh when you call me, I'm drifting on clouds. Like I'm dream-ing.”
“But in the morn-ing, I'll wake up and see that you’re stuck here with me. If only you knew what I would do for you I'd jump up and hold you so tightly.” With every verse, the voice grew softer. There was more sadness in each line. He listened carefully to the lines, trying to piece together the information. Each line made it apparent, unrequited love.
-
“But I will never be able to do these things, so I'm just left imagin-ing.” As the song ended, I finally let all my emotions go. No one knew where Jason was and I was beginning to give up hope. I was sitting on the ledge of the rooftop. Police scanners were quiet. There were no distressed civilians. For once it seemed like Gotham was having a good night. Jason wasn’t here to see it. I moved to get up, in search of something. I had been trying to distract myself as much as possible with work. I couldn’t stand being inside the empty apartment anymore. For the first two weeks I stayed in hoping that one night Jason would come back and everything would be okay. But by the third week, it was evident he wouldn’t be back any time soon. When I did sleep, I stayed with Roy. We had been working together to try and track Jason but it appeared he had learned some new tricks.
I heard a creak come from behind me. I turned around immediately, but there was nothing there. I was about to venture down the stars when I heard something. “Hey.” I froze. That voice. I turned around and saw Jason. He was in his street clothes. He looked drained. There were a few small cuts and some bruising on his face. I moved closer to him, and let out a breath I had been holding in. I was relived he was okay, but I was angry at him for leaving.
“I didn’t know you were back. I didn’t even know if you were-“ I couldn’t bring myself to finish the sentence, but he knew. “I went to the apartment and it was empty. I noticed your suit was missing. I figured I would find you out here.” He moved closer and wiped the tears from my eyes. “How much did you hear?” I asked nervously. I was hoping he arrived after I had finished but by the look on his face it was apparent he didn’t.
“Almost all of it.”
“I don’t even know where to start.” He paused, “I can’t tell you how sorry I am. I just disappeared.” I nodded and thought back to each restless night. Not knowing was the worst part. “A long time ago, someone really bad got away. I lost his trail, but I’ve been keeping tabs on him. He resurfaced and I couldn’t let him get away again.” He put his arm around me, “But I won’t ever leave you like that again.” He placed a kiss on top of my head. Silent tears streamed down my face and I took in his warm embrace.
“Let’s go home. The boy’s have this covered.” I looked at him in shock. He had never called the apartment home. He always said that it was just somewhere he slept. He had never felt that it was home. “I thought the apartment wasn’t home?”
“It’s not home without you.”
We got back to the apartment and Jason reached for the door. He opened the door and I moved to turn on the lights. I stopped, the table was lit by candles. The floor was scattered with rose petals. It was nothing like how I left it. It felt comforting again. “I had Roy bring your things back.” He shut the door behind us. “It’s perfect.” I turned around and wrapped my arms around him. He ran his hands through my hair. “Come on,” He took my hand and led me to the bathroom. It was lit by a few candles. The bath was set with warm water. “I know you haven’t been here much and I thought you would appreciate it.”
“I’ll be in the bedroom, when you get out.” He placed my towel and some clothes on the sink and departed.
Once I got out I followed the petals into the bedroom. The bedroom was back to it was before. Jason had left a mess when he left, and I left a mess moving back and forth between Roy’s. Everything was neatly put away. Jason by now had changed out of his street clothes and into his sleep wear. He was laying down staring at the ceiling. Once I closed the door he looked over. “How was it?”
“I haven’t done that in a long time.” I moved to the bed and joined him. He opened his arms and I put my head on his chest. “Are you okay?” I looked up at him and examined his face. The darkness hid the severity pretty well. Now in the light, it looked worse. “You should see the other guy.” I shook my head and laughed a little. “Really, I’m okay. It’s not as bad as it looks.”
“Prove it.” He leaned over and kissed me. It was soft, and needy. After weeks, it finally seemed like it was going to be okay again. He pulled away and pulled me closer. He pulled the covers over me, and kissed my forehead again. “Get some sleep babe.”
“How are you?”
“Better, now.” He ran his thumb across my cheek, “I’m so sorry.”
And for the first time in weeks, I slept soundly.

Would you rather
confess to Red Robin , that you have a crush on your boss but he’s way out of your league
or
CEO tim insist on letting you use one of his cars for transportation to and from work because public transportation at night will just not do
Yay! Would you rather! How fun
This one's hard. On one hand, I would be humiliated to accidentally confess my crush on someone to my crush, without knowing. Tim would get a huge kick out of it, it'd go straight to his ego. Next time you're at work don't be surprised when your boss "suddenly" starts giving you more attention
If you call him out on it he'll just say "a little birdy told me".
But on the other hand, driving one of Tim's cars? That's so scary? Like what if something happens yk, I can't afford a super expensive Chevy Camero. Heaven forbid he has a brand new Corvette.
Listen, with my track record (it's surprisingly long given that one time I got pulled over and the other time I hit a mailbox) I would not trust myself with anyones car.
Tim's sweet though, he'd ease any anxiety you have about driving his car but everytime he says "It's fine, I have other cars, I can just pay for the repairs" it just makes him sound so much more rich.
I'll definitely have to go with the first option, because it's cute to imagine you're best friends with Red Robin. The idea of sitting on a roof with him and just munching on food while spilling gossip, it's adorable.

I Can’t Believe You’re Dating My Best Friend PT. 1
Batsis x Roy Harper (Arsenal) Story
Word Count: 3.5K Warnings: Explicit Language, Mature Themes
Author’s Note: I edited this so it reads better! Enjoy!- Thorne
*******************************************************************************************
The shrill sound of her ringtone startled her from sleep, and she fumbled along the nightstand beside her for her phone; her thumb slid across the screen and she brought it to her ear, words still laced heavy with sleep. “Mmm…hello?”
A chuckle sounded from the line followed by someone asking, Are you still in bed, babe?
She groaned and rolled over, squinting at the alarm clock. “Boy-Toy, it’s nine A.M. on a Saturday. Yes. I’m still in bed.”
A slight pause came from the line then he muttered, …Well, I can’t say anything because I’m still in bed too.
“Okay, well I actually have a reason for sleeping in. I save Gotham all night. Staying up playing video games isn’t reason for sleeping in.” she retorted.
“I wasn’t playing video games all night! And I do too have a reason, (Y/N)!”
She hummed, feeling the amusement. “Hmm? And what’s that?”
…Uh…okay…I don’t have an actual reason for it.”
(Y/N) huffed a laugh and placed the phone down, laying back and stretching; she let out a groan as her bones popped, then picked up the phone.
That was a load groan babe. You alright?
“Yeah…just my body’s way of reminding me of how I spend my nights.”
With your legs wrapped around me? He flirted and she could practically see him waggling his brows.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. “I’m hanging up now.”
Wait! I was just kidding! Sort of.
(Y/N) snorted. “You know, it's almost hilarious how easy it is to make you panic.”
You’re an evil woman.
She giggled and rolled out of her bed, moving to her bathroom. “I know.” She set the phone down and moved into her morning routine.
Am I coming over tonight?
(Y/N) paused as she was putting toothpaste on her toothbrush and looked at her phone. “I thought I was coming over there?”
Doesn’t matter where…so long as you do. He purred.
She grunted and shoved the toothbrush in her mouth. “The more sex jokes you make, the less I want to talk to you.”
You love me, babe.
She scoffed. “Jury’s still out on that one, Boy-Toy.”
I’m hurt, (Y/N). She grunted and began brushing her teeth, listening as he continued. Anyway…You came over here last week. We decided on me coming over this week.
(Y/N) spit into the sink, rinsing out her mouth. “You still have the key to the apartment in the east side?”
The one labeled…(Y/N)’s apartment?
She inhaled deeply and stared at the phone. “Yes Roy. The one labeled, ‘(Y/N)’s apartment’, would be the key I’m talking about.”
Why do I get the feeling that you’re exasperated right now?
(Y/N) rolled her eyes and picked up the phone, moving back to her bed. “I haven’t the faintest clue as to why you’d feel that way.”
Uh huh. Sure.
She smiled. “But to answer your question, yes, that is the key.”
So, what time do I need to be over there?
“I’m free all day, so get here early, and we can spend the day together.”
You aren’t worried about your family finding out about the two of us?
“I’m not the one who’s going to get beaten to a bloody pulp when my brothers find out who I’m dating. That’s a you problem.”
She heard Roy let out a sarcastic laugh. So much for we’re all in this together.
(Y/N) let out a laugh. “Get a move on, Wildcat.” She heard him shuffle around.
I’ll be over there in about an hour.
“Alright. Meet me at the boardwalk.”
Will do. Love you, (Y/N).
“Love you too, Roy. Be careful.”
(Y/N) hung up the phone and put it back on the charger, moving back into her bathroom to shower. Once she was finished, she pulled on a pair of jeans and her Gotham Blades hoodie, and left her room, descending the stairs into the breakfast room.
She stepped in, taking in the view of her family gathered around the breakfast table. She moved beside Alfred, kissing his cheek before moving to her father and doing the same; she took her seat between Jason and Tim. “Good morning family.”
She received various replies, and Jason looked at her. “Where are you going today, Princess?”
(Y/N) glanced at him and sipped on the coffee Alfred put in front of her. “Nowhere special. Just out and about.” He nodded and her phone buzzed; she looked at it and laughed quietly, shaking her head before shoving it in her pocket.
Someone hummed and she immediately scowled knowing it was Dick. “Jason. Was that a giggle she directed at her phone?”
Jason nodded at their eldest brother’s question. “I think it was, Dickie.” He leaned in. “Who’d you get a text from, Princess?”
She narrowed her eyes at him. “None of your business. That’s who.”
Dick leaned across the table with a smirk. “Is it a boy?”
“Is it any of your business?” she retorted, glaring daggers at him.
Damian crossed his arms over his chest. “You seem very reluctant to answer the question, sister.”
(Y/N) sighed at her younger brother. “It’s just a friend, Damian.”
Tim snorted into his coffee cup. “No, it’s not. Not with that laugh you just gave.”
She rolled her eyes. “He’s just a friend and who he is, is none of your business.” She stood up. “So, leave it alone.” She walked around the table to her father, and leaned down, pressing a kiss to his cheek again. “I’ll be back tomorrow.”
(Y/N) started making her way to the garage when she heard scraping chairs followed by scrambling feet. She turned as she was getting into her Camaro. “What the hell is wrong with you all?”
Jason stared at her. “What do you mean, ‘I’ll be back tomorrow’?”
She gestured vaguely with her hand, repeating, It means…I’ll be back tomorrow.”
“And where are you going to be?” Dick questioned, squeezing into the doorway beside Jason.
“Take a wild guess where I’m going to be all night, Dickie.” She smirked and gave them a wink as their eyes went wide; she climbed in the driver’s seat and turned the key in the ignition.
They ran over, standing on either side of the car; Jason tapped on the window. “Roll the window down, (Y/N). Now.”
She pulled a confused expression. “I’m sorry, what did you say?” She motioned to the glass, then her ears. “Sound-proof glass—can’t hear you!” His face pinched and she heard Dick tap on the other window.
“(Y/N), where are you going?!” he shouted.
Reaching up to the visor, she hit the button to open the garage, watching it fold up in front of her, and she looked over. “What was that?”
“WHERE ARE YOU GOING!” Dick shouted louder this time.
She pulled a mock look of concern and asked, “You don’t want me to call you all night?” She put a hand to her chest in hurt. “Dickie, that hurts my feelings that you don’t want your baby sister to call you! Especially since we talk every night!”
“THAT’S NOT WHAT I SAID!” he slapped the window to accentuate his point. “YOU KNOW THAT’S NOT WHAT I SA—"
“Don’t worry, I won’t!” (Y/N) waved and though they tried to stop her, she hit the accelerator and took off, hauling down and out of the gate, cackling the entire time.
***
The drive to the boardwalk went smoothly, save for the time she had to put on ‘do not disturb’ on her phone because her family wouldn’t leave her alone about where she was going. When she got to the boardwalk, she called Roy.
He picked up after a few rings. Hello?
“Where are you, Roy?”
Pulling into a parking spot. Where are you?
(Y/N) looked around, staring outside her windows. “In a Camaro.”
Roy sighed. Babe…do you know how many people drive Camaros in this state?
“Well…statistics show that eleven percent of people ages eighteen to twenty-nine drive Chevy’s. What percentage of those drivers are Camaro drivers, isn’t known.” She listened to Roy sigh again and she giggled. “Have you ever seen Transformers?”
Yeah...why?
“My Camaro looks like Bumblebee.”
She heard Roy slam his car door. Put your flashers on really quick. She did. Alright I see you. Be right there.
(Y/N) turned off the car and opened the door, sticking a foot out to prop it open while she pulled a piece of paper out and began jotting a few words down before sticking it on the console, her phone laying just next to it.
Someone opened the door from where it lay against her shin and asked, “What are you doing, babe?”
She snorted before opening her glove compartment and pulling out another cellphone. “Leaving my family a friendly note.”
“And what does this friendly note say?” Roy chuckled.
She climbed out of the car and shut the door with her hip then wound her arms around his middle, smiling, “Says, ‘Get a life and stop budding into mine, losers.’.”
Roy chuckled and wrapped an arm around her waist, the other resting on the top of the car as he leant her backwards against the door. “They’re not gonna have fun when they find out you ditched your phone and car.” He moved his lips against her jaw, pressing a kiss to her skin. “They’ll lose their only way to track you.”
“That sounds like their personal problem and not mine.” (Y/N) breathed, tipping her head ever so slightly for him.
The corner of Roy’s mouth rose, and he pressed one final kiss to the underside of her jaw before he pulled away, holding out a hand. “Well…since you’re not worried about the rest of the night…shall we go have some fun?”
She nodded and laced her fingers through his. “Where do you want to go?”
He hummed, eyes scanning the expanse of the boardwalk. “I could honestly eat right now…you?”
“Food sounds great.” She paused and looked at her phone. “There’s a Hard Rock Cafe a couple blocks from here. Want to go there?”
“Do they have burgers?”
“What do you mean, ‘do they have burgers’? It’s the Hard Rock Cafe. Of course, they have burgers.” Slowly, her face dropped, and she gaped at him. “…Don’t tell me you’ve never been to one.”
Roy gave her a weak smile. “Guilty.”
(Y/N)’s eyes went wide, and she started dragging Roy behind her. “I can’t believe you’ve never been to an HRC. It’s practically sacrilegious to live in the US and not eat there.” She tossed a look over her shoulder. “You’re an abomination, Roy Harper. A goddamn abomination.”
“And you’re dating this goddamn abomination.” He retorted with a smile. “So, what’s that say about you?”
“That I’m probably on the Highway to Hell. But if I’m going, I’ll go laughing.”
She watched Roy’s head tip back as he chuckled, then he glanced at her, wiping his eyes. “I swear you and him are just like each other.”
(Y/N)’s eyebrow rose. “Who? Jason?” He nodded and she grunted. “We are not alike.”
Roy pressed a kiss to her hand and grinned at her. “Oh, yes you are.”
She glared. “Agree to disagree.” Roy shook his head and let her lead them to the restaurant.
They’d gotten there rather early and being ahead of the lunch crowd meant they were seated in a decent spot. The waiter had given them their menus and walked off, leaving them to decide their orders and after about ten minutes, the restaurant had been hit with the first wave of lunch-goers.
Roy looked around at the families enjoying a nice Saturday lunch and murmured, “Pretty busy today, huh?”
(Y/N) didn’t draw her eyes from the menu as she replied, “It’s Saturday, Roy. Everyone’s out for the weekend.”
He merely hummed in response and glanced at the menu. “So…what’s good here?”
“Are you reading the menu, Roy?”
“Let me rephrase that,” he laughed. “What do you recommend?”
(Y/N) grinned and flipped her menu around. “Any of the burgers, but I usually get the Original Legendary with a Mango-Berry Cooler to drink.”
The drink sounded alcoholic and with a frown he started, “(Y/N), babe…you know I don’t—”
“The Mango-Berry Cooler is nonalcoholic.” She interrupted with a knowing stare and he shut his mouth; she smiled at him. “I wouldn’t drink in front of you like that. Or recommend an alcoholic drink, Roy. You know me better than that.”
He rubbed the back of his neck feeling rather foolish for thinking she would do something like that. “I know, (Y/N)…sorry.”
She waved him off. “Don’t worry about it.” Taking his hand, she rubbed her calloused thumb over his knuckles. “I’m proud of your sobriety, Roy. I know it’s been a long road and it’ll always be one. But I’m here to support you. Always will be.” (Y/N) watched his face light up and she felt her heart flutter.
“Thank you, (Y/N). Really.”
Winking, she whispered, “Always.”
***
The server brought their food and they started eating but halfway through the meal, Roy happened to look out the window, and choked on his drink. (Y/N) put down her burger and leaned forward. “Oh my God. Are you okay, Roy?”
He coughed harshly and motioned to the window, spitting out, “B-Bro—thers!”
(Y/N)’s eyebrows drew together, and she glanced over her shoulder, and sure enough all four of her brothers were there in line; her eyes widened, and she put her head down. “Motherfucker!”
Roy tipped his hat down. “What are we gonna do?!”
She panicked for a second before waving a server over. “Yes miss? Is something wrong?”
Motioning to her brothers, she asked, “See those four boys over there?” His eyes flitted to them and he nodded. “Those are my brothers, and this boy here is my boyfriend…who also happens to be one of my brother’s best friends…and we also haven’t told them about us.” She smiled. “Do you get what I’m saying?”
He chuckled and nodded. “Yes, miss. If you’ll follow me, I can lead you to the back door.”
(Y/N) sighed, and somehow, they managed to make their way to the back exit without being seen. She turned to the server, pulling some money from her wallet, handing it to him. “Here’s two hundred…for the meal, tip, and the escape route.” He stared at the two hundred-dollar bills and she spoke again. “Do you have a piece of paper and a pen?” He nodded and handed it to her, watching as she jotted down some words.
She handed it to him. “Give that to them before they leave, would you?” He nodded again and she winked. “Thanks!” She took Roy’s hand and they sprinted out the backdoor, taking off back to the boardwalk to his car.
When they got there, they leaned against the hood of his car, catching their breaths. He motioned to her. “What did…you write…on that paper?”
(Y/N) let out a breathless giggle. “I wrote, ‘You’re getting colder, losers.’.”
The two of them started laughing and when they finally caught their breaths, he looked at her. “Wanna head to the apartment?” She nodded, and they got in his car.
***
The drive over wasn’t too far and when they got there, she collapsed onto the couch and groaned; (Y/N) felt him sit down beside her and she twisted her head up to look at him. He smiled down at her. “You good?”
She nodded and inched forward, resting her head in his lap. “Just tired.”
“Tired…or bored?” Roy snorted and (Y/N) laughed.
“Both?” He chuckled and they sat in silence for a while, Roy flipping through the channels on the TV. After about an hour, his phone rang; he picked it up and grimaced. “Who is it?” she asked.
“Your brother.”
“Which one?”
“Jaybird.”
(Y/N) motioned to the phone. “Put it on speaker and let me listen.”
He sighed and answered it, putting it on speaker. “Hello?”
Roy.
“Yes, Jaybird? What can I do for you?”
I thought I told you to stop calling me that.
Roy shrugged. “You did…but you aren’t here, so…” (Y/N) grinned at him.
Whatever jerk-off, it’s beside the point. Have you seen or heard from (Y/N)?
“Why? Is something wrong?”
She heard Jason sigh. We think she’s spending the night with a boy, but we can’t find her. She’s been giving us the slip all day.
Roy looked down at a grinning (Y/N), who was struggling to hold in her giggles. “Oh yeah? Master-Escape-Artist-Miss-Batgirl is giving y’all the slip? Who would’ve thought she was capable.”
Look smart-ass, have you seen her?
“Not today I haven’t.”
Damnit.
Roy smirked and looked at the phone. “Can I ask you a question, Jaybird?”
I’m seriously going to throat punch you if you call me that again.
“Uh huh, sure, but in all seriousness, why’re you so concerned about (Y/N)? She’s a grown woman—she can handle herself.”
Well for starters, she’s my baby sister. She’s not old enough to spend the night with a boy.
Roy laughed. “Dude, she’s twenty-two. She’s not the innocent little angel that the city of Gotham sees. Far from it in fact.”
There was a long pause and when Jason spoke again, he sounded suspicious. And how do you know that, Roy?
His eyes widened, and he glanced down at (Y/N). “Uh…I just…do?” Her eyes went wide at his response and she gaped at him, motioning to the phone; he muted it.
“Are you out of your goddamned mind, Roy?!”
He threw his hands up. “I panicked!”
“No fucking shit!” (Y/N) cradled her head in her hands. “Oh God, he’s gonna figure out its you.”
Roy whined. “No, he won’t.”
She opened her mouth to speak when Jason came back over the line, his voice quiet. I’m tracking your phone, Harper. Their eyes went wide, and they stared at the phone. If I get over there and I find (Y/N) with you…I’m gonna rip your spine out through your ass.
The line went dead, and they sat in silence for a few minutes, then she offered, “You wouldn’t happen to have your suit with you…would you?”
“Should I go put it on?”
(Y/N) nodded. “I think we should get out into the city…we’re in so much trouble now.” The two of them hurried into the master bedroom, shucking off their clothes to suit-up.
Roy stared shamelessly at her as she slipped her suit on. “Hey, Batgirl?”
She didn’t look at him as she pulled the zipper. “What?”
“Think we’re gonna get out of this alive?”
(Y/N) barked a laugh as she twist-locked her gloves in place. “Absolutely not. I assume that tonight, you’re going to get your ass kicked…repeatedly and I’m going to find myself the subject of unwanted lectures about dating brother’s best friends.”
Roy didn’t even seem fazed by it, nodding, “I figured that was what was going to happen.”
She nodded and walked over, wrapping her arms around his middle. “We’re in this together, Arsenal.” (Y/N) hummed and moved her hands to his butt, squeezing it. “Or should I say Ass-senal? You know what? I could just say ‘Arse-nal’ since ‘arse’ means ‘ass’.”
Roy reached behind him and grabbed her hands, walking her backwards until her she hit the wall; he brought her hands above her head and stood between her legs. “What is it with you and touching asses?”
She stared up at him with an eyebrow arched. “Was that rhetorical? Or do you actually want my answer?” Roy chuckled at her and she continued. “I mean I like touching your ass.” She leaned as much as she could and glanced at it before moving back to him. “It’s a nice ass. Nicer than Wally’s even.”
The hands around her wrists tightened ever so slightly. “Have you been touching Wally’s ass?”
(Y/N) giggled. “I touch everyone’s ass. Especially nice ones. Like Wally’s.”
“Wha—Why?”
She shrugged. “If he’s a cutie, gotta tap that booty.” (Y/N) watched Roy’s contort and she burst into giggles. “Oh, your face was so worth that line.” His grip loosened, and she looked at him, then his hands moved to her haunches, hoisting her up against the wall; her legs went around his waist and she moved her arms to his neck. (Y/N) narrowed her eyes and smirked at him. “What’s wrong, Roy?”
He glared at her. “You really like walking the line don’t you, babe?”
She shrugged innocently, murmuring, “See Boy-Toy, it’s not so much walking the line as it is seeing just how far I can get before someone calls me out.”
Roy smirked at her. “Good thing I’m around to do it for you.” (Y/N) simply grinned at him and he leaned in, his lips brushing hers. “Think we have time to shake sheets?”
Before she could even response, the front door slammed shut, echoing through the apartment. “Roy! Where the fuck are you! I know you’re here!”
The two of them glanced towards the door and she muttered, “No, Roy…I don’t think we do.”

Taylor Swift and That
Note: huge thank you to @meandmypagancrew who collaborated with me on the lyrics for this post!
'Taylor Swift'
Tim McGraw: He said the way my blue eyes shined put those Georgia starts to shame that night, I said, “That’s a lie”
Tim McGraw: Just a boy in a Chevy truck that had a tendency of getting stuck on back roads at night
Tim McGraw: And then the time we woke up to find that summer gone
Tim McGraw: September saw a month of tears and thanking God that you weren’t here to see me like that
Tim McGraw: In a box beneath my bed is a letter that you never read
Tim McGraw: Looking back on all of that, it’s nice to believe
Tim McGraw: There’s a letter left on your doorstep and the first thing that you’ll read
Picture to Burn: Go and tell your friends that I’m obsessive and crazy
Picture to Burn: That’s fine, you won’t mind if I say, by the way
Picture to Burn: I hate that stupid old pickup truck you never let me drive
Picture to Burn: I really, really hate that stupid old pickup truck you never let me drive
Teardrops On My Guitar: I fake a smile so he won’t see that I want and I’m needing everything that we should be
Teardrops On My Guitar: I’ll bet she’s beautiful, that girl he talks about
Teardrops On My Guitar: She’s got everything that I have to live without
Teardrops On My Guitar: I laugh ‘cause it’s just so funny that I can’t even see anyone when he’s with me
Teardrops On My Guitar: The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
Teardrops On My Guitar: Can he tell that I can’t breathe?
Teardrops On My Guitar: He’s all that I need to fall into
A Place In This World: I’m alone, on my own, and that’s all I know
A Place In This World: Tomorrow’s just a mystery, oh yeah, but that’s okay
Cold As You: Just walk away, no use defending words that you will never say
Cold As You: Now that I’m sitting here thinking it through, I’ve never been anywhere cold as you
The Outside: You saw me there but never knew that I would give it all up to be a part of this, a part of you
Tied Together With A Smile: You walk around here thinking you’re not pretty, but that’s not true ‘cause I know you
Tied Together With A Smile: No one knows that you cry but you don’t tell anyone that you might not be the golden one
Tied Together With A Smile: I guess it’s true that love was all you wanted
Stay Beautiful: He whispers songs into my window in words that nobody knows

Speaking of Hevans and older Taylor Swift songs. Remember when Sam compared Kurt to Faith Hill? Tim Magraw by Taylor Swift as a Hevans song.
this !!!!! i love this !!!!!
heres a few lyrics that stuck out to me:
“he said the way my blue eyes shined” about kurt’s eyes
“just a boy in a chevy truck” sam 100% drives a truck. he just gives off those vibes
“and I was right there beside him all summer long. and then the time we woke up to find that summer had gone” about kurt and sam trying to make the best of the summer before sam moves to kentucky (or even before kurt moves to new york)
“september saw a month of tears. and thankin' God that you weren't here to see me like that” kurt is somebody that doesn’t like other people to see him at his low points. he’s usually very guarded and doesn’t really have anybody that he goes to when he needs a good cry. this is definitely about kurt being glad that sam didn’t have to see him when he felt weak and fragile. sam being gone is hurting more than he ever thought would

Movie Cars: The Batmobile (Batman, 1989)
Number two in our ‘movie cars’ study is an obvious standout: the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s 1989 film, Batman, the first cinematic film to allow the comic book character of Batman, originally created in 1939 by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane, to shine on screen in a format better suited to the Dark Knight than the previous outing in 1966. The film is iconic, providing audiences with a memorable villain in Jack Nicholson’s Joker, as well as a surprisingly well-portrayed hero with Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne/Batman, with some other standout performances, solidly comic-book story, and darker, sleeker visual design that solidified Gotham City, and Tim Burton’s looks in cinema forever.
It was all of that, and on top of it all, had the coolest of all cool cars: the Batmobile.
The Batmobile’s origins in comics date back to early issues, with Batman’s vehicle being referred to as the Batmobile for the first time in Detective Comics #48, in 1941. Since then, after multiple redesigns in comics, a run on the 1960s television show Batman starring Adam West in the titular role, as well appearing in the original Batman serials of the 1940s, the Batmobile’s appearance had shifted many times before Tim Burton began production on his film.
After redesigning Gotham City (Typically a semi-Chicago/New York City area) in order to closer resemble a Art Deco style, a similar change had to be made to the Batmobile. The job fell to designer Julian Caldow, and the design of the body of the vehicle was brought to life by sculptors Keith Short and Eddie Butler. The car was spliced together from two Chevy Impala chassis, and powered by a Chevy V8 engine, with a completely custom body that sits on Mickey Thomas racing tires on custom wheels. Adding that, and all of the gadgets used in the movie itself (bombs, machine guns, disk launchers, grappling hooks and armor, and that’s not even all of it), together, and you have one heck of a striking movie car.
So…what does it do?
In most films, ‘cool cars’ are classified by what they do, how they demonstrate their coolness. Are they involved in a chase? Are they haunted? How do they contribute to the plot, or movie history in general?
In the case of the Batmobile, most of its work was done the instant it was built. The adaptation of such an iconic vehicle to the big screen was enough of a mark that no matter what it did in the actual film itself, the major impact was already accomplished. With one swoop, Tim Burton’s production team immortalized the first cinematic Batmobile. Now all that was left to do was utilize it.
And…they did. Sort of.
The Batmobile, unlike many of the other cars we’re going to be looking at in the articles ahead, actually doesn’t do a lot in this movie. It’s helpful, for sure: it allows Batman to escape from the museum with reporter Vicki Vale, and it blows up the factory where the Joker’s toxins are being manufactured, but it serves as more of a tool, just another item on Batman’s belt rather than a character proper, like cars like the Bluesmobile. It’s iconography revolves around it’s history, rather than anything it does within the film itself. It’s so highly advanced that there’s nothing to ‘go up’ against, there’s no challenge. There is a car chase: a brief one revolving around the Joker’s clown car brigade crashing into everything in sight in an attempt to hunt Batman down, and the other chief action scene involving the vehicle is driving in, remote control, to destroy the Joker’s factory.
So, how did the Batmobile contribute to film history?
Mostly within its own circle, honestly.
As opposed to the historic car-chase with Bullitt, the Batmobile from Batman is so far removed from reality that it isn’t really relatable to ‘car’ fans. Indeed it’s not very recognizable as a car, just another of Batman’s gadgets, like the Batwing. As such, it’s significance among movie cars and driving culture is minimal in comparison to its influence among the DC fandom.
The Batmobile has the most significance for comic book fans and lovers of Batman in general, for obvious reasons. The vehicle’s historical significance is far longer reaching than its existence within cinema itself, going all the way back to 1941.
As far as movie cars go, it’s not quite the big splash that Bullitt was, and it may have lacked the screentime of other cinematic vehicles, but when it comes to iconic, immortal design and just plain cool factor, nothing tops the Batmobile.
Thanks so much for reading, I hope to see you in the next article.

I was in the 6th grade when 'Tim McGraw' came out. It's classic songwriting. It's one of the best songs ever written and it's crazy that Taylor was, I actually don't know, 14, 15, 16 when she wrote this, maybe younger? 2006. If that's when it came out so I'm sure she wrote it before then. The lyrics fo the last chorus. The down chorus. It's a perfect perfect pop song. And I remember so specifically having friends that loved the song and I was such a music snob and really into like brand new and like rage against the machine and I was like ugh 'Ugh this pop music, I can't do it' and I remember being at a slumber and there being a 17 magazine and 'Tim McGraw' was the feature song, and everyone was so excited and I was like 'It's just not hard enough'. But I have since shed my... eurgh, thank god I grew out of that, and now I like all kinds of music. The song kinda re-entered my life recently because I've been doing a lot of driving which is kinda new for me, I mean I got a license when I was 17 but I went to boarding school for high school and then I went to NYU and then I got a tour bus. So I've not done a ton of driving. I was making the 'Light On' music video and we did a 4 day road trip and so there were a lot of very long very late drives, and one of the ways that I would stay up is by singing along in the car to old Taylor Swift records. And I think thats why in my cover you can hear driving, and that sort of comes from the 8th note constant base line. God I love this song and its such a beautiful sentiment too of like fleeting affection and saying goodbye to someone, and I wanted you to be able to feel that longing. We also made the song [in a] minor [key]. What I love to do is take a song a flip it and I think that also shows the shear strength of the songwriting, which, if its a song that stuck around long enough to be covered, its probably impeccable song writing. I think genre just exists to sell music, nobody actually thinks about it when making music. But a song with the title Tim McGraw, one of the greatest country stars of all time, could I take it and make you not think of country music? It was actually really hard to make sure i wasn't singing this in a country accent. It's really hard to sing 'chevy truck' and just like not sing it country. Hopefully I didn't. If not, feel free to call me out. It was interesting for me because this song has such an incredibly song melody, but I knew I was going to need to play with the rhythm of the chorus if I wanted the melody to sit in a new way for our arrangement, and so, we took the last line of the chorus 'I hope you think of me' and changed the rhythm and instead sort of moved the chorus around so that 'I hope you think of me' line became kinda the new chorus. Another way we did that was by changing the rhythm of the real chorus because by spreading out the words we de-noted some of the emphasis that makes that chorus hit home so strongly in the original, we like off put some of the emphasis so that it really hits in the post-chorus. Once we found our way into our chorus, I feel like the song came out really feeling like me. Or as much as it could be, because this song so distinctively belongs to the greatest living songwriters. I wanted this song to feel open and free and there to be a sense of freedom and a sense of rise in the way that the vocal is delivered. In a way that you maybe thought this summer love could last forever. Hopefully with the cover we can bring the song a little bit of new life.
