in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.

She would call her a horrible cuckoo one moment and beloved the next. She’s calling Gideon a brainless dumbass two sentences before casually calling her the loveliest flower of her house.

Nicky's fanon personality is so interesting to me becuase when you actually read the books he just... not like that. He isn't a pure cinnamon roll! He's a chaotic asshole yall! He loves messing with people for the drama! Man hated Allison and Seth and he took every opportunity to fuck with them and he did it with a smile! And deadass Nicky only cried once during the whole series and it wasn't even on page! He was dramatic and sociable and more willing to be friendly than some of the others but he could also be an asshole when he felt like it! He's obnoxious as hell! He's literally that guy who can't shut the fuck up about his semester abroad! He was lumped in as one of the monsters for a reason! Mischaracterized king

maybe it’s bc it’s 4am and the sleep deprivation is melting my brain but i can’t stop thinking about the scene in OotP where harry uses the pensieve and sees james doodling lily’s initials on his exam papers.

i also love the quick detail that he hastily scribbled over it at the end of class, like he hadn’t even completely realized that he drew it in the moment. it’s just so endearing to imagine with what we know about james- that when lily was around, he was known to peacock and show off to try and impress her, but when presumably no one else is watching, he‘s really just a smitten 15 year old who is completely infatuated with his crush. like he’s literally just kicking his feet and giggling over her, he’s such a loser lmao
