Foodie Friend
pairing: kim seokjin x reader genre: idol!verse, fluff, slight angst word count: 3,589
summary: He’s only your foodie friend, but he’s hungry for your heart.
a/n: WOW, sorry not sorry I’m so corny! This was inspired by the premise of the webtoon “Shall We Have Dinner Tonight?” by Park See-In. I don’t know why every manhwa character I read reminds me of him lol. Felt a bit of pressure for my BTS bias’ first scenario. /).(\
Tumblr media
Eating nowadays felt like it was only for show. There were all these pictures to be taken, videos of people eating; you weren’t sure if the ones eating were actually enjoying their food. There was one person, however, who would always let you know how delicious the food was.
“Oh, Jin! You came on time!” you said. The restaurant you were waiting in front of had a long waiting list, the kind where one had to make reservations months in advance. Thanks to Mr. Worldwide Handsome, he was able to get a table with little effort.
“Of course, I wouldn’t miss this,” he said as he walked up to you. Even though he was in public, he didn’t feel the need to wear sunglasses or a hat, making his features even more radiant. But that didn’t affect you one bit.
Jin wasn’t a boyfriend or a crush. He wasn’t a blind date someone set up for you two. He was what the two of you called each other “foodie friend.” It was literally what it sounded like: A friend to eat food with. Your friends assumed he was someone you were dating, considering how often you saw each other every week, but you made it clear it wasn’t anything like that.
“But,” your friend, Minji, had said, “it’s him.”
You always shrugged that off whenever someone said that to you. When you met him, you didn’t even know who he was, or even the endless list of accolades and attention they’ve received in recent years. To you, he was Kim Seokjin, the random guy you met one summer at your favorite naengmyeon place.
“I’m sorry, ma’am, we’re at full capacity, you have to wait outside,” the waitress said.
You were about to turn away when a voice called out. “She can eat with me.”
In the corner of the restaurant a young man waved you down, giving you a small smile. “Hurry,” he mouthed with his lips. You glanced at the waitress, who then nodded at you. Quickly, you moved through the cramped tables and sat across from the stranger.
You turned in your seat, raising your arm in ruggedly. “One naengmyeon, please!” you said loudly.
A hearty laugh met your ears. You finally took a good look at your naengmyeon savior and observed how handsome he was. You felt your cheeks start to heat up, but hopefully it wasn’t noticeable due to how hot the weather was. “Sorry,” he said, “I’ve never seen a girl order like that before.”
“When the food is good, you order with haste,” you said, flashing him a smile. “Thank you for letting me eat with you.”
He shook his head, all of a sudden acting formal. “No, it’s my pleasure. I always say, food is better enjoyed with others.”
“Hmm, but you’re alone today,” you said.
“So are you.”
You bit the inside of your cheek and looked down. “Well, I…” You coughed into your clenched fist. “I broke up with my boyfriend a few weeks ago.”
It was his turn to be embarrassed. “Oh, oh my gosh, I didn’t mean it like that, I’m sorry, I’m not trying to hit on you—”
“No, no, it’s okay, I shouldn’t have said anything—”
“Two naengmyeons!”
The waitress abruptly set the food in front of you, leaving both of you quiet. The two of you slowly met eyes and laughed. “I’m sorry if I offended you,” you said.
He handed you the spoon and chopsticks next to him, beginning to clean his own. “No, you didn’t. If it makes you feel better, this is the first time I was about to eat out by myself,” he said. “It was a bit nerve-wracking, to be honest.”
“Really?” you said. “This is my first time having the guts to eat out solo, too. I didn’t want to bother anyone, but I wanted to have a good meal.”
“Yeah, my members wanted to eat somewhere else, so I ended up here alone.” The word “members” made you curious, but you assumed he meant his club members at the local university (Oh, how wrong you were). He took a spoonful of the broth and hummed contentedly to himself. “Wow, this is good.”
You started eating yourself, nodding to him. “This is my favorite naengmyeon place, it’s so refreshing,” you said between bites. “But you have to try the cheese ribs place down the street, they always give you extra cheese as service compared to other places.”
“Oh, really?” he said.
“Yeah,” you said, but you sighed. “I haven’t been able to go because all my friends hate greasy food and, well, you know the rest. It’d be a bit embarrassing get that big platter for myself.”
“Then we should go together!”
His eyes were wide and excited, his expression almost comical with the noodles hanging off his chopsticks. “Really?” you said. He nodded so enthusiastically his bangs swayed. “Let’s do it!”
Since then for the past few months, your friendship grew to once-a-week Friday dinners, occasional café meetups, and nothing more than that. He was someone you would talk to about your problems, and he would vent his frustrations as well. Your tastes matched, both in food and everything else, so the two of you grew fond of each other without much difficulty.
Lately, it became harder to meet up with Jin, which was when the weight of his fame became obvious to you. He didn’t believe you when you admitted you didn’t know who he was or of his idol life.
Jin [10:39]: tell me you’re joking
You [10:39]: No! Minji yelled at me earlier for not realizing either
Jin [10:40]: you’ve never heard of “DNA” really now
You [10:41]: I’m watching the intro right at this moment!!!
Jin [10:41]: you better watch MAMA then and see how awesome and handsome your foodie friend is
Jin [10:42]: because that’s the reason i can’t meet up with you on friday
You [10:43]: Fine, but you owe me dinner when you come back, Kim Seokjin
And that’s why Mr. Worldwide Handsome was able to book his favorite steak restaurant once he was back in town to make it up to you. It didn’t register with you the area you were in until you read the name on the wall. You recognized it immediately and your heart dropped once you passed through the lobby.
“Jin, I think I’m drastically underdressed for this,” you said in his ear.
He looked you up and down, cocking his head to the side. You adjusted the hem of your black dress, unexpectedly feeling conscious under his stare. “Why? You look beautiful,” he said.
You slapped his shoulder swiftly, covering your mouth with your other hand. “Kim Seokjin!” He never spoke like that, and yet he said it so casually.
“I’m telling the truth!” he said, rubbing his shoulder. You didn’t notice until now that he was wearing a blazer with a button-up. His hair was styled more than usual. Did he always clean up this handsomely? “I did text you to dress up a little.”
“I don’t think ‘a little’ is enough for a five-freakin’-star restaurant, Kim Seokjin,” you said with gritted teeth. “There are people here in evening gowns!”
“And you look perfect, so let’s go to our table,” he said, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. The gesture should’ve been normal, but for some reason it made your heart jump.
The waiter led you past the tables in the dining hall to a private room. It was a nicely lit with a modest chandelier hanging above your table, dim enough to showcase a stunning night view of Seoul. Everything outside glimmered like stars. It was beautiful. You didn’t realize how much your jaw dropped until Jin reached out to close it.
“After you, miss,” he said, holding out a chair for you, his other hand flourishing foolishly in the air.
“Why, thank you, sir,” you said with much flair in your voice. “This is all very exciting, you should leave me hanging more often.”
He pouted a little as he sat down across from you. “I wanted to bring you here for a while now, our schedules just didn’t match up.”
You glanced at the menu in front of you, not seeing any prices but only the list of entrees that were already prepared. He really planned everything out it seemed, making your heart continue to flutter. It was an unfamiliar feeling.
“No offense, I’m super grateful to even be here, but…” You trailed off, looking out at the city lights to distract you. “Isn’t this too fancy for a foodie friend?”
“What do you mean?”
You pressed your lips together, shaking your head. “It’s nothing,” you said, your heart thumping. Where were you even going with that?
His hand reached across the table over yours without warning. “No, it’s not nothing,” he said.
“Jin?” His eyes were fixed on you, his face more serious than you’ve ever seen it.
“I’ve been wanting to tell you for a long time now,” he said. “That’s why I took you here specifically.”
Your heartbeat started to quicken, realizing where this was going. “Jin, please.”
“I need to tell you—”
“No!” You shook his hand off as you stood up. “Don’t!
“I like you!” Jin’s voice rose as he gripped the edge of the table. He glanced at the door, your eyes following to see that it was closed. “I like you,” he repeated, softly this time. “A lot.”
Some time passed before it seemed he had the courage to speak again. “I’ve felt this way for a while now. You befriended me, without any ulterior motive or ill intentions. We became friends naturally, and I…” He sighed. “I began to like you naturally. I needed to tell you that, with all my sincerity.”
There were so many questions going off in your head. You felt angry, confused, happy. Why were you happy? You didn’t know how to feel, or how to properly react at his sudden confession. You felt your surroundings crumbling around you. “Jin,” you began, “this will change everything.”
“Wouldn’t that be a good thing?”
“No!” you said. You pursed your lips, trying to quiet your voice down. “I don’t—I don’t know. I’ve never thought about it that much.” It hurt to be honest, but at least you told him the truth.
He huffed, his eyes pouring into you. “But you have thought about it. Or am I just a foodie friend to you? Is that all I am?”
“I don’t know, Jin!” Your eyes began to water when you saw how forlorn he looked. You looked away from him instantly. “I’m sorry, I have to go.”
“Don’t leave—”
But you were out the door already, not knowing where you were heading, only that it had to be anywhere but here.
You stared at your dinner, finding it anything but appetizing. It had been a few weeks since Jin’s confession, but you haven’t been able to stomach his words, or anything tasty for that matter. Without him, you didn’t see the point of going out to eat. Even when your friends invited you for dinner, you had to pass.
Your bowl of cup ramyeon looked pitiful, the scent of the artificial flavoring stinking up your apartment. “This won’t do,” you groaned. You fell back onto your nearby couch, clutching your stomach. “I want tteok-bokki instead…”
The craving meant going outside, which is what you ended up doing. Near your apartment were local eateries lined up against the sidewalk. Even at this late hour, there were small groups of people eating together, probably after work or after a night out. You walked up to your trusty ahjumma as she smiled at you.
“Yah, have you lost weight?” she immediately asked. “You don’t look like you’re eating properly.”
You laughed weakly and nodded along with her. “Yeah…” She looked behind you, making you turn around yourself. “What is it?”
“Aren’t you usually with that handsome fellow? The one with the big appetite?”
Your face flushed, suddenly grateful for the low lighting in her stall. “Not tonight,” you quickly said. “One order, please, with cheese.”
She clicked her tongue, preparing your food as she pressed the matter. “Did you two get in an argument?” she asked. A hearty laugh left her small figure. “Eating alone isn’t good for you, you know? Good food is best enjoyed with the ones you love.”
You mindlessly nodded, remembering Jin saying something similar when you first met. The ahjumma continued her well-intentioned nosiness, making you think of how lonely it had been avoiding him all this time. What was he to you, really? He was your friend, your foodie friend, but the void he left having not seen him for this long felt stronger than that. You missed talking with him about what happened on the days you were apart, hearing his nonsensical babble when he became really passionate about something, even that stupid windshield wiper laugh he had when you cracked a joke.
“Excuse me, please make it to-go!”
After a short taxi ride and some misguided walking, you rushed into the lobby of Jin’s dorm. You’ve only been there once or twice, but only when his members were out. Even then it had been brief visits just before the two of you had plans or taking a quick nap after a night of drinking. Having never met the members, not exactly remembering which unit theirs was, as well as chickening out on contacting Jin, you found yourself with a warm bag of spicy rice cakes and no plan at all.
“Idiot,” you mumbled to yourself, sitting on one of the couches outside of the elevator.
After some grumbling you heard footsteps at the nearby staircase. Two people were talking, but they weren’t voices you knew. You sighed, staring at the bag of food in your lap silently.
The two voices gradually hushed, making you look up. You made eye contact with them but couldn’t quite identify who the two guys were. One had honey blond hair with a white surgical mask covering his face while the taller one wore a beanie that nearly covered his eyes. You gave a quick bow which they returned slowly. To your surprise, the honey blond one called out your name.
Your eyes widened in shock as you put two and two together, making you stand up abruptly and doing a full 90-degree bow. They returned the same bow, hiding their grins behind their hands. “I’m so sorry,” you said. “I didn’t recognize who you two were at first.”
The beanie adjusted his hat so that he could look at you properly. “Wow, Jin-hyung was right,” he said in a deep register. “She really didn’t know who we were.”
“That’s how you know it’s real,” the honey blond joked as he adjusted his mask to his chin. “I’m Jimin, this is Taehyung. It’s nice to finally meet you.”
You gave the two a tight-lipped smile, still too dumbfounded at what to say. Taehyung looked at what you were holding and nudged an elbow into Jimin’s side. “Are you waiting for Jin-hyung by any chance?” he asked.
As much as your face reddened with the urge to run away at your bold lack-of-a-plan strategy, you nodded ardently with closed eyes. The two laughed, making you stare at them. “We’ll take you to him.”
The dorm was quiet as you entered, taking off your shoes gingerly. You turned to Jimin and Taehyung who stayed by the door. “He’s in his room playing video games,” Jimin said, pointing to where it was (though you vaguely remembered that much at least). “The rest of us are meeting up for a dinner around the corner if you need us.”
“Not that they will,” Taehyung said with a snicker.
You shot him a playful glare. “Why isn’t he joining you?” you asked.
The two stared at you as if it was obvious. “He’s been feeling down lately because of a certain someone,” Taehyung ultimately said.
“Kim Taehyung!” Jimin exclaimed quietly.
“What? It’s clear she feels the same way! That’s why she’s here, ri—!”
Jimin covered his mouth and started to walk back towards the elevators. “Don’t mind him, noona!” You blushed at the sudden honorific. “Ah, sorry, hyung talks about you so much that it feels like we already know you.”
Taehyung slapped Jimin’s hand away from his face. “Now look who’s talking too much.”
Taking a deep breath, you gave them one more bow. “Thank you for your help. I’ll try to make things right with Jin,” you said.
The two smiled at you. With a last goodbye, you watched them turn the corner, and finally walked inside the dorm. Now that you were alone once more, the silence battled with the thumping of your heart. Holding the bag tighter in one hand, you walked towards Jin’s bedroom and knocked on the door with the other.
“Come in!” It had been so long since you heard his voice, you felt your eyes tear up out of nowhere. Shaking it off, you finally entered.
Jin sat in a leather gaming chair as he kept one hand on the keyboard and the other on his mouse. He had a gaming headset covering his ears, but his volume probably wasn’t that loud if he was able to hear you knock. “What is it?” he asked, his eyes not leaving the wide monitor.
“I-I brought food…” His fingers stopped tapping as his head whipped to see you standing at the door. You gave him a meek smile as you lifted up the bag of tteok-bokki. “It’s one of our favorites.”
He tried his best to keep his composure, but you could tell it was wavering when he spoke into his headset. “H-Hey, guys, I’m out for the night,” Jin said as he placed it on the desk. Within a few strides he made his way over to you and wrapped you in his arms. “Is this real? How are you here?”
You initially froze at his touch, your free arm reaching up to pat his back. Regretfully, you backed away from him. “I heard you’ve been feeling down,” you said meekly. He looked down and nodded, scratching the back of his head. With a deep breath, you took his hand and walked out to the dining room. “Let’s eat. I was feeling down, too.”
After some awkward silence with Jin getting some drinks and you preparing the food, the two of you sat across from each other. “Go ahead,” you said, handing him a pair of chopsticks. “I’ll talk.”
Jin wordlessly nodded, breaking through the layer of mozzarella and taking a bite. You smiled a little when you heard him hum contentedly. “Good food is best enjoyed with others,” you started. “That’s what you told me when we first met. But I learned it’s also that it’s best enjoyed with the ones you love.”
You wanted to hide behind your own pair of chopsticks because the way he was looking at you made you feel like you were about to combust. “Love?” he asked.
“Shh, I’m confessing.”
“Confessing!”
“Jin!”
“Okay.”
Jin smirked at you, not knowing a string of cheese was hanging on the corner of his mouth. You reached over the table to wipe it off. His face burned up, and you knew it wasn’t because of the spice.
“I’m sorry I left you like that night. It took me a while to realize you’re more than just a foodie friend to me,” you said. He nodded. “These past few weeks without you, I didn’t want to only share meals together. I wanted to talk about my day, I wanted to hear what went on with your day. I missed spending time with you, not because of our food adventures, but because of the fact I was with you, Jin.”
You looked over at him, gauging his reaction. He softly called out your name as he stood up from his seat to walk over to you. “Kim Seokjin,” you continued as he stood in front of you, “I like you, too.”
His hands softly reached out for your face, bringing you in for a soft kiss. JIn rested his forehead against yours, his smile reaching from ear to ear. “I thought it was love?” he asked teasingly.
You pushed his face away, trying to cover yours with your arm. “Yah, let’s eat!”
Epilogue—
“Jin-hyung! We brought leftovers!”
The boys shuffled into the dorm one by one, settling in after their dinner. “Hey, didn’t you say that she was here, too?” Hoseok asked the younger boys.
“Yeah, her shoes are still at the entrance,” Yoongi said.
A soft snore from Jin’s room made the six eavesdroppers turn slowly towards the open door. “You don’t think they…” Jungkook mused, raising his eyebrows up and down.
Namjoon pushed through the members and peeked inside the room, the only light coming from the idle television playing. He saw Jin and you leaning against the wall on his bed, a blanket draped over the both of you. The two of you were snoring with your heads leaning against each other, unaware of your audience.
The mindful leader quietly closed the door, shooing away the others. He spotted the empty plate on the table, clear of its contents except for the remaining red sauce. Namjoon laughed, pointing out the evidence. “I think they only knocked out from a food coma.”

Bad Boy x Princess AU
“All I’m saying is that you lend me your wand for one second and-”
“No.”
“C'mon, princess! Do you have any idea how funny using that… syrup… tsunami thing… in the hallways would be? Janna and Oscar would kill to pull off a prank like that!”
Star rolled her eyes at the boy, picking up her pace as the two headed towards the school. “Your immature prank would have quite the punishment from your administrators.”
Marco scoffed. “And when has that ever stopped me before?”
“You do understand that another large scale prank would result in you leaving the school permanently, yes?”
“Gee, since when did you start to care, princess? Are you finally starting to like having me around?” he asked teasingly, nudging her arm.
Star swatted his hand away with her wand and brushed her sleeves as if to dust the filth from her clothes. “Just as an owner would grow fond of a dog, I suppose even I could learn to appreciate the company of a subhuman animalistic brute like yourself.”
“Well, screw you too, princess.”
“Language, Marco Diaz. But in truth, I would prefer not to have you leave the school so suddenly, otherwise I would need to settle in with another host family, and I sincerely doubt they would be as accepting as your household.”
Marco chuckled. “Yeah, my parents are pretty cool like that, aren’t they? Trust me, you’ll never find a better family like mine, you hear?”
Star stopped, turning around and tapped the boy’s head repeatedly with her wand. “Yes, that’s why I am not lending you this wand for your silly pranks. I happen to like your family.” She turned on her heels and continued to walk towards the entrance of the school.
He growled at her actions, rubbing his head. “Keep that up and I’ll kick you out of the house myself…” He caught up to the princess, ‘accidentally’ bumping into other students as he walked through the hallway. “You know, princess, you should really cut loose, once in awhile. Cause some mayhem, why don’t you? Enough with the royal crap. Just relax, enjoy life. Let crazy stuff happen! It’s better than being a total killjoy bitch all the-”
She spun around, giving a death stare to her host. “This 'killjoy bitch’ is going to cast you into the void if you continue spouting out any more stupidity.” Marco stared at the princess, shocked at her sudden outburst… and their sudden closeness. He blinked a few times, trying to hold back his blush while keeping his heart under control. Star held her ground for a moment, glaring at the boy at close proximity before nervously breaking down, holding her hands to her mouth. “Oh nononononononono, I just said a bad word, I’m so sorry. I promise never to say that again, why did I say that, such foul language, it feels awful, it’s disgusting! I’m sorry, mother. I’m sorry, father. Oh nononono,” she rambled.
Marco shook his head, his heart now beating properly, and stared in disbelief at how quickly she changed. “…Wow… That's… kind of sad.”
Star wiped her mouth, whimpering at her outburst. “I should never say such a thing, I’m the princess of Mewni. Royal families never say such vulgar language…”
“Man, you are really letting this whole royalty thing get to your head. Just relax. A few curse words isn’t gonna kill you.” The boy rolled his eyes, smirking at the teen’s reaction. “Such a drama queen. Like you ever did anything bad in your life.”
“That’s… not true. I used to be quite the rebellious child.”
“Oh no. What’d you do? Stay up past your bedtime?”
“Well, that too, but much more after that. I was almost as much of a delinquent as you. I just choose not to do those things anymore. It’s uncivilized and unethical.”
Marco scratched his chin, thinking. “Unethical, huh? Well, how’s this for unethical. You do something bad and I promise… I’ll make some super awesome nachos for you.”
Star’s eyes widened. “Wh… r-really?”
He smiled. Despite how restrained the princess acted, she could never turn down his nachos. “Absolutely! That is… if you can do a little bad…”
“W-well… I…” She bit her lips, weighing her options. Nervously laughing, she turned around and tried to distract herself from the idea of the delicious meal. “Y-you can’t bribe me like that, you fool. A-as if I-I’d subject myself to doing immoral things just for a simple plate of your… delicious… nachos…”
“I’ll add more cheese this time-”
The princess grabbed his shoulders, pulling him close to her face. “What do you need me to do?”
Once again, Marco’s heart raced, his blush slowly revealing itself. “O-okay… well… here’s an idea…”
—————————————
“You can’t be serious…”
“Go on, princess. All you have to do is pull the fire alarm.”
“But… there is no fire…”
“No, there isn’t. Now pull the alarm.”
Star looked nervously at the vibrant red alarm, biting her lips once more. “Er… M-maybe we can do something else. I mean, there’s no point in inconveniencing everyone and evacuating the building.”
“Believe me, you’ll be doing everyone a favor. Save them from the boredom 'n stuff.”
“Okay, but consider this idea, what if-”
“Do you want your nachos or not?”
“…” She looked back at the red device. “But…”
“No alarm, no nachos.”
Star hesitantly reached out to the handle and in a swift motion pulled the alarm. The blaring sound echoed through the hallways, making the pair wince at the obnoxious sound. A teacher came out from one of the classrooms and found the two standing by.
“Did you two pull the alarm!?”
Star nodded slowly, scared of the repercussions.
“Good work, you two! One of my students mixed the wrong chemicals and started a fire!”
“What!?” The teens shouted.
“Get going! You definitely saved some students!”
The teacher continued to escort the remaining students out of the room, leaving Star and Marco in disbelief.
“…You gotta be kidding me…”
—————————————
"Alright, princess. That obviously didn’t work out so well.” Marco took his seat at the park bench.
Star shrugged. “I wouldn’t say that. After all, there was a real fire in the classroom.”
“You’re supposed to do something bad. That was a good thing you did back there.”
“Thank you!”
“That wasn’t a compliment…” He sighed, looking around for another opportunity, observing the bystanders talking among themselves, eating their own food and walking their dogs. “Hmm… alright… new plan. Ready to annoy some people?”
“I would prefer not to.”
“Great. See those dogs? I want you to cut the leashes and let them run like crazy. The owners should have a hard time getting them under control.”
Star glanced at the several dogs in the park, walking alongside their masters. “Perhaps… maybe one dog will suffice? I would be ruining someone’s day doing that. No need do it to everyone, right?”
“Nachos.”
The very name of the food made her mouth salivate. She coughed and mumbled to herself. “…R-right…”
With the wand in her hand, she pointed it in the general direction of the dogs and shot multiple bursts of light, burning the leashes and freeing the animals. She then created a floating squeak ball and let it roam the park, gathering the attention of dogs as they followed the ball, running from their masters.
“Heh… nice one, princess-”
“Hey!” The two turned to see one of the dog owners standing over them. “Did you just make that floating ball?”
Marco leaned over and whispered to the princess. “Ooooooh, you’re in trouble…”
She shot a dirty look at the boy before returning her attention to the owner. “Um… y-yes?”
“That… is awesome!”
“W-what?”
“My dog has a ton of energy and it takes me hours to walk the little guy. That floating ball is just what I needed!”
Marco stood up, annoyed at the owner’s reaction. “Dude! Your dog is running around the park unsupervised because of this girl and you’re okay with that?”
“Meh, these dogs are well trained enough.”
“God… damn it.”
“Language, Marco Diaz.”
—————————————
The two returned home after an exhausting day of trying to find something bad for Star to do. By some rule of the universe, everything the princess did ended up being for the better. After the park, they tried vandalizing cars, starting fights, making the sidewalk slippery, even making prank phone calls! All of which ended up benefiting people rather than producing negative outcomes. It was impossible for Star Butterfly be bad.
“This was a wasted day,” Marco said, taking his seat on the couch.
“Come now, Marco Diaz. I thought it was plenty of fun.”
“Yeah, fun because it ended up helping people.”
“Isn’t that the best kind of fun?”
He stuck his tongue out, pretending to gag at how corny she sounded. “Yeah… sure princess…”
“Now… about those nachos…”
“Yeah, no. You still didn’t do anything bad.”
“…What if I steal something?”
“You’re gonna steal something? Yeah right. You stealing something would probably make someone richer.”
“I’ll steal from you.”
Marco laughed. “HA! Okay, now that’s rich. Go ahead, see if you can steal something from me. I’ll genuinely be impressed if you can snag anything-” Star leaned in and kissed the boy on his cheek, causing him to jump back to the other side of the couch with a red face. He brought a hand to his cheek, trying to process what she just did. “W-what… you… why…”
“I stole a kiss,” she simply stated with a smirk on her face. “I believe I deserve some nachos, yes?”
Marco’s heart pumped rapidly at her action, he was certain she could hear the beat. “U-um…”
Star took her seat on the couch, and smiled. “I’ll be waiting for my prize.”
Marco slowly backed into the kitchen, keeping his eye on the princess. He turned the corner and leaned against the counter. “Steal a kiss…?”
He let out a small nervous chuckle, his face burning as he replayed the moment in his mind.
“That’s just cheating… Star…”
