I made dis :3 lmao so I'm in this discord rp group for like a Pokémon based island roleplay and I wanted to make a Pokémon Ranger, but the island doesn't really have a lot of wild pokemon because these are intelligent anthros (yes it's a bunch of furries but what'd you expect really I mean cmon) so my character used these burst gems from the ReBurst Manga which basically turn you into a gijinka, which is kinda like a magical girl transformation for Pokémon powers. Anyway I figured the Rangers would prefer not to use the regular burst gems that trap Pokémon inside them cause it seemed vaguely unethical so they created a way to merge your DNA like how bill entered a teleporter and turned into a clefairy sort of the fly cronenburg style? Anyway, her Burst Drive, the machine the rangers created to do this using synthetic burst gems and ditto/smeargle parts broke when she turned into a mega lucario after this event where basically jirachis wish magic powered up a bunch of pcs to defeat the villain of the arc, and it let her keep her transformation for longer but that made her *too* compatible with lucario. I got the idea both from how the new tm system uses Pokémon ingredients like Pikachu fur and how ditto and smeargle both copy a pokemons DNA/moves. As well as how in the anime one mega lucario couldn't control itself when it first used mega evolution. So now her condition worsens as she gets stressed, since she has pretty bad anxiety, and I figured it'd be a good character arc to reflect overcoming that and learning to manage your emotions. And her uniform is based on the Shadows of Almia uniform.

Leaf Green part 3: Forward Planning

I just hopped down the ledge from Mt. Moon into Cerulean City.  There will be no backtracking, for at least a little while.  Eliza got very close to evolving, so I have been keeping her at the back of the party for a bit.  It feels a little too soon for her to evolve, if only because I haven’t designed a Charmeleon gijinka form for her yet.

Oh, there it is.  Got her to hit level 16 in the rival fight right before the Nugget Bridge.  Congratulations, Eliza!  You’re a Charmeleon.

Eliza’s best friend right now is Nikita, a Mankey.  It’s typical to pick up a Mankey outside of Viridian because they’re useful in the Brock fight.  I’m hesitant to keep Nikita on the team, because I had already reserved a championship slot for that sacrificial Machop.  I probably don’t need two fighting types.  I also have a champion Primeape in my Fire Red, so I’d like to train something else for variety.  But I also don’t want to separate Eliza and Nikita just yet, because they work together well.  I’m probably going to draw them together.

Something else occurred to me today.  I’m running through Leaf Green in order to get a starter and a legendary beast for my Fire Red/Sapphire Pokedexes.  If I’m going to beat the game with Eliza on my team, she’s going to be a Charizard by the end of it.  If I want Charmander and Charmeleon marked as ‘owned’ on my other games, I’ll need to breed her at least once.

So now I’m going to start looking for a suitable mate for Eliza, which is WEIRD because she’s a day old.  Or maybe she’s 23 years old if I’m going with my crazypants deleted headcanon.  It’s also weird because I already decided this was a girls-only playthrough, with the exception of the one Machop, which does not share breeding groups with Charizard.  I’ve looked through the eligible breeding groups (Monster and Dragon) and the best looking candidates are Dragonite or Tyranitar (you can get these in postgame).  But I'm going to try not to micromanage this too closely.

I have yet to work out the ethics of breeding gijinkas.  I’m constructing a magical world limited only by imagination but I’m struggling to imagine a world where my human pets will consent to making offspring (sometimes clones!) on demand, at my convenience.  This premise is just WAY too crazy.  At least for now I want to assume that all my Pokemon have been forming strong, healthy consensual relationships with each other without me having to lock them in the daycare together.

Weirdly enough, the one romantic pairing that sort of clicked organically for me are a pair that can’t breed.  Tortoise the Blastoise and Topanga the Meowth have adopted kids and Ditto-kids.

So I guess this Leaf Green cartridge is going to become a dating sim.  I’ll be sizing up every eligible male encounter as Eliza’s potential future husband.  I mean, no, she’s going to be pursuing all these romantic interests on her own, haha.  This is normal.

When Luz is in the In Between, her form is a gijinka- a mix between her human self and her noibat self. Her mom thinks it’s just a costume she got dressed up in. She is proved wrong after helping Vee out.

Vee is... maybe a Ditto? Dunno how she got Luz’s human form though- maybe she snuck in through the door as Luz was heading through, and that glimpse of her managed to get Vee enough of a person to shift into when Camila called out for her...

Luz thought her gijinka form was amazing by the way- two legs and two arms that aren’t wings was cool like she used to be used to, but also having wings and cool draconic fur was such a plus to becoming a Pokemon... shame she can only use that form in the In Between...

I really love her design so much honestly! Its so cool as a sort of stealth gijinka look that makes you go HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT, lol. It also makes sense that even if she could do more 100% human looks she might use a kind of gijinka-ish one as her main, like if she has to maintain it for long periods of time itd be easier to simplify it a bit. Especially when you could pass off the pink hair and gloves as just a fashion statement. Or maybe its just a sign of her personality that she takes pride in herself/finds being human distateful/likes the thrill of teasing people with the truth and watching them all fail to catch on to the clues. We see so little of her that anything about her personality is just theories, really. I hope she didnt die and she comes back for a sequel! I dont really believe she's 100% evil just cos her trainer is, i mean she's still a pokemon and we dont know how fully she understood what was going on or if it was more 'im loyal to my human' instead of 'i agree with what he's doing'. Also if she's a super genetic experiment to make an extra effective ditto then she's probably spent her whole life in those labs with her only experience of freedom being tied to doing jobs imitating people for this guy who probably painfully experimented on her and leaves her in constant fear. Also we dont even know if Ms Norman is the name she'd choose for herself or if it was the name of some other real person she was assigned to replace? Like we see this ditto mimicking humans and pokemon of both genders so honestly we dont even know if they actually identify as a woman. THERES SO MUCH UNTAPPED POTENTIAL PLEASE BRING BACK COOL SCARY DITTO PERSON ALSO A REDEMPTION PLOT WOULD BE NICE she/they could be such a cool ally for the detective agency with those powers!!
