RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : Hmmm, I guess maybe assuming I'm here to ship? Like, I love shipping, but it's so hard to write a ship with someone I've never written with before. Just ask about it first!

MUSE PREFERENCES : Generally, I like assholes with hearts of gold. Zack is really an outlier for me.

sarah had dreams of times long past, of cycles once lived, of rejections given again and again. they were all just dreams. there was no way that they were all real, but even so there was a feeling in the pit of her stomach and a pang in her heart that knew those lives had been very real and all the people she had met where long since gone. whether or not they suffered through dreams like her, she didn't know, but what she did know what that many times had she suffered at the hands of garland and many times had he suffered by her own. and in somewhere in all of that, sarah had wondered if he kidnapped her to have a companion. if he no longer wished to repeat his fate and the cycles in agony all by himself.

this time was different, too, as she knew that just telling him 'no' would lead to something different - or so she had hoped. it was such a tragic tale - to want your beloved's hand in marriage and to suffer the fate of falling to darkness again and again and again. if only she had known then that he had loved her. if only then she had known it had not be arranged prior. if only she had been more kind to him. it was as if someone or something out there was laughing at what was to become of them.

a soft breeze had blown through the temple and with it, a stir of musty, dank air. how long had it been since anyone had even been in this temple? perhaps eons. there was no way to know for sure. her feelings for him were deep, bottomless, insatiable. she longed to be with him, it was true, and wondered if it would be so bad to remain here by his side. she has a feeling she'd done this once before, but like all the times before it had ended in tragedy.

pressing a hand to her breast, the beat of her heart was fast, anxious, and the oppressive air choked her. she hated this place - it was cold and aside from what little shone through the cracks there was no light here. the glow of the black crystal lit up the room they were in and it reflected off his armor in fragments. she longed to reach out for him, to take his hand, but all she could manage to do was to try and hold herself together and she felt the hot tears slip down her once, rosy cheeks in streams. why had it all happened the way that it had? why had it happened at all?

"n-no," she says again, choking out the word. "i… i wish to remain here. with you. i want to help you in your time of need." her hand falls to her side and she continues, "whatever way i can be of… service, please allow me to be of assistance."

"Yes." The answer was almost immediate with caveats of a but lingering behind, "if only things were just that simple. The easiest thing would've been to leave her behind at the docks. If she could be proven guilty of a lot of the things she's done, perhaps. But more importantly, I'm not ready for the people I love to hate me for it. I'm not sure if I can handle that kind of loss. Weighing out the options, guess I rather shoulder the torment myself and keep the people I love than get the satisfaction of saving myself and losing everyone else. At least if she kills me first, it's a nice I told you so to everyone that didn't believe me." @sadavang
