Started playing In Stars and Time and I am having so many Thoughts about Siffrin and his past (read more for potential spoilers)

Out of everyone, they're the one whose background I know the least about, not even their home town! Everyone else mentioned theirs multiple times, what they were doing before the adventure and what they plan to do afterwards, but not Siffrin (in fact, he says that he 'didn't have anything better to do than join the adventure' and every reply to what he would like to do in the future is nothing more than what he think would make his friends laugh, not what he truly desires)

And the fact that Siffrin didn't even consider telling anyone about the time loops, was way too happy that only they died, happy to carry the burden to make his friends smile, and their moments of extreme self depreciation makes me think they're way too self sacrificial

And also! His aversion to touch! Something he was completely unaware of but his friends knew and respected. It took like, 4 loops of Isabeau's almost touch for him to finally notice and comment on it. Despite him traveling with his friends for months! (And him being oblivious to Isa's feelings?!?! I think?!?!) Idk I'm just thinking a lot what this could mean??

With their memory problems it makes me think it might be a trauma response? but I'm so curious to know what's up!! (Also, the irony of them being stuck in a time loop despite the fact that they have the worst memory is sksbjsbsi)

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, I'm sure when I continue the game all answers will be shown. But at the moment I just can't help but think about what could possibly have happened in Siffrin's past!

In the story, he actually keeps his “doctor profession”, by not touching his patient, (believe it or not). He wants to lick MC’s tears so bad, wants to be nice to her, wants to cherish it as lovers’ s*xy time and not a type of treatment, but he couldn’t bc everything he did then was to cure MC. So, he refrained himself from licking MC’s tears and kissing MC’s face. Meh, weird way for a doctors’ safe distance from patient, but that’ll do ig…

Again, he losts it at every card when MC said she likes doing this with him. Their relationship, feels kinda like situasionship smh haha. Both kept their cools, but loses their shjt when the other do lovers’ things to them.

He caters to MC’s liking to cure her, but in the end, he himself can’t keep his words of “not touching the patient”, and still kisses MC. As MC no longer has Christmas cold, she still clings to Lucifer for sexy time lol, bc it’s rare to spend time with him, and he knows, he thinks the same and doesn’t do allat doctor patient game anymo, just lovers’ stuffs from then on lmao.

(Apparently the Paradise Lost gang has used that to m*st*rb*t* lol) bc 1, he places it privately in his own office, a place no one dares to enter, and now they are doing IT in his no no office zone, and 2, it no longer entirely smells like MC, so he just decides to lock the entire PL gang up to punish 🤣🤣 and won’t let MC meet them for a good while. Another thing I am wondering is that, it is canon that he gets hard every time he bumps into/ remembers/ sees MC (MC-sexual lol). The inclusion of the MC smelled candy cane in his office? Yeah… it will DEFINITELY make that man go absolute FERAL.

Anyone wanna my 2 cents on Jade Shadows?

Spoilers bellow frens ;3

So, right off the bat (before I put my personal personal thoughts out there), we need to acknowledge the criticism and outright discomfort this quest had.

Some of the criticism this quest got is something I can agree with. Specifically; Jade Shadow's needed more time. 100%. Let them cook, or more importantly, let the story cook and maybe even burn a bit to give us some crispy, smokin hot parts.

The little footnote at the end of the quest saying we have 'more questions than answers'? We get it, you're self-conscious, but that doesn't give you an excuse for not giving me Stalker. PERIOD, BITCH.

Jest aside, srsly, we needed to know more about Jade, Stalker, what happened to them, baby Orion (Halo possessed me in that moment, iykyk), etc. People needed to get invested in the characters, especially because this is a quest so close to being like Sacrifice on its level of storytelling...

Had it been able to have just 30+ minutes longer.

Onto the 2nd part of the criticism, birthing sim:

I'll be honest, as someone who was thinking of even going into being a midwifery/allied health, it didn't freak me out as much as it did others. But that's just one side of it. The other is how people say Jade's agency was ignored.

I'll be honest, this is just wrong. It's not media illiteracy by any means, but rather pure ignorance. Why?

Because her agency is declared.

When?

"... you're going to be a father." OH, and the fact she literally wanted the baby. There are plenty of people who can explain it better than that, and whilst I acknowledge people may feel this way, this was, in fact, not what happened.

Also, this quest is not pro-life, nor is it anything related to that. If it was, I assure you, you would have a majority of the fan base up and walk. Take a chill pill. If you want to attack something for being pro-life, go help out at an abortion clinic with crowd control or smth. Because once you see that, you'll understand just how wrong you are.

It's not subtle.

It's not in between the lines.

It doesn't exist.

The end. Period. Fullstop.

The criticism is fair, but going so far as to say those are the undertones is just not on. Not only are you lying about something, but you are also disrespecting the very real women whom have had their agency denied in one way or another.

Now, that's not the only criticism about it, but those are just a few things you may see floating on tumblr. Again, both are ok and fair. But when you start to spread lies or ignore what actually happened, you're part of the problem, not the solution.

Now, onto the fun stuff!

Imo, aside from what was stated before, the quest was actually pretty fun and interesting. The pair make an interesting concept, especially now with the lil fugly bean, which has stolen a place in my cold, brainrotted heart. I think I like the Corpus Cap the most- pls marry me, pls. Oh, an Hunhow? Let me hug him. Let me give him a home on my ships. Let me tell him he can be my bestie!!!

Back to Stalker, though, I really hope we see more of him, especially now he's git a VA.

Speaking of, homie didn't get to speak often, but God did it hit home when he did. You can feel how desperate he is, then when he gets his answers, how lost he is. Finally, resolution and love ehen he names his lil kid at the end.

Music was on point, too. I can't listen to it tho bc Ik ima be sobbing lol. It was so beautiful!!!!!!!

Lorewise, however, I have so many fucking questions, but in the funny haha/good way.

Was jade pregnant b4 being a wf? If not, Stalker...

Why was their relationship shamed upon? Was Jade a Dax and him, well, him? Or was it because they weren't married? What was it that made the Orokin make em into Warframes? Also, Ballas, man, we know your hypocritical ass is in this shit too.

Also, Umbra and Helminth are confirmed to roam around the Orbiter, and vc Umbra is my main, this is a personal achievement. Now let us see it happen, and I'll be DE's 4 life.

But seriously, TL;DR:

Jade Shadow's was a good quest, it just needed to cook slightly longer. And, until we get more Umbra x Stalker from DE (bros b4 all), I'll be on AO3 in 3 (maybe 4) tags.

Backstory: Alright so basically I am Evie Sommers little experiment. She took her DNA (and maybe someone elses? idk havent figured that part out yet) and made a clone baby more or less to experiment on for the whole powers / gift part. I grew up alongside Ella and Emmaline (and the other kids) even tho they never knew where I came from or basically anything of what Evie was doing. Evie also wiped my mind regularly to keep me from telling anyone what she was doing (this is ofc pre-takeover so she had to keep it quiet) which is basically perfecting her methods to ensure Emmaline (who is her main target as we know) has the best possible chance of survival. After the takeover, Evies plan was to kill me but seeing how quickly Emmaline was deteriorating she decided to keep me alive, mind wiped and put me into a foster family (basically what happened to Ella too). Fast forward to my highschool years (my foster family is in the US for plot reasons (plot=aaron warner)) where my powers accidentally kill my classmate cos he was a creep and touching me (i couldnt think of a better reason for my powers to lash out, if you have one tell me pls) and i get put into the asylum. Ella doesnt get put into the asylum, instead she gets rescued by / escapes to Omega Point. anyway after that the plot is mostly the same except i take Ellas place. Ella still gets the alias Juliette Ferrars but I for some reason dont get an alias? idk. Thats it mostly haha if you have questions feel free to ask!

IM SAD ABOUT VARRIC AND I NEED EVERYONE TO SUFFERRRR

I was thinking about Rook meeting the Inquisitor and I was thinking if ANYONE is going to acknowledge Varric surely it'd be them.

So I was thinking when Rook meets them and they talk and they're like oh btw I know you're busy but do you wanna come the lighthouse quick and see Varric? Then the Inquistor gets this look on their face and they go oh you're sweet but no thank you, not yet.

Rook gets back to the lighthouse and like bursts into the infirmary and they're like Varric I met the they Inquisitor and they're EVERYTHING you said they were. Just gushing about how gorgeous and kind and wonderful they are to this would be varric. Then Rook goes oh not that its any of my business but did you guys have an argument or something? So not varric is like... hm what do you mean? Well I asked if they wanted to come see you and they looked like sad and said no not yet so I was okaaaayyyyy well should I tell him you said hi? (I'm picturing this as my Lavellan talking to Ingellvar so Inkys like.. awww.. that's sweet). And not varric is panicking like oh don't worry kid she's got a lot going on she's too busy to think about visiting me haha don't bring me up again yeah? Haha great.

Then later after Rook goes to meet Inky for dinner they come back and they talk to not varric again and they're like well i hope you don't mind but I think it's really weird and maybe even kinda rude that the Inquisitor doesn't want to see you so i asked straight up why (fuckfuckfuck) and they said they're not ready to see you yet because they feel responsible for what happened. Like they should have been there or they should have talked to solas instead. Well I thought that was ridiculous so I told them they may have ended getting themselves stabbed instead, and not varric cuts them off says that would never happen so Rook scoffs and goes sure just like he'd never hurt you? A likely story.

No message or anything but they asked me to do something and not Varric is like oh yeah, what? and Rook holds Varric's hand :(

(Bonus solavellan) Anywho, she told me she still loves the fucking maniac then asked me about my sex life so maybe she's not as normal and down to earth as I thought she was. Told her tho, seemed rude not to.
