also pulling this from my targaryen ocs lore but i firmly believe there are more targaryens than just the royal line. when they flee valyria it's said that aenar took his "wives, siblings, children and kin". kin when you're talking about what are effectively clans can cover a LOT of people since it includes cousins and then you add in the polygamy thing Welp. Literally look at the freys to see how big ONE house can be.

I firmly believe when the doom happened there were a couple hundred targaryens in westeros. which would have expanded in the 100 years between then and aegon and again between aegon and the dance. it's just likely that especially around the dance a LOT of the cadet branches take loses, then later you get the rebellions, add in how that targs are Kinda Fucking Cursed and boom, you're down to the smattering we see in the 5 kings era.

like, that's realistically how things like houses work. i get why grrm doesn't write about all that because that's a lot of fucking people to work into the fucking timeline but then you shouldn't have made the valyrians polygamous and imply that aenar took basically his whole house over to dragonstone.

You are free to dislike a fictional character's actions in canon, especially when they are doing war crimes. But can we please not compare the fictional character to fucking Hitler, a real person who did untold damage and killed millons of Jewish, Romani, queer and disabled people?!

I always still find it weird that Tek has never properly shown Kazuya caring about Jin, even just slightly. Like it's so weird because they have him genuinely love Jun, but like... not her son? That's also his son? Like for the longest time, he assumed Jun was dead - Jin is literally all that's left of the first woman he's ever loved, yet he feels nothing about it? Like I'm not even saying for the series to depict him as a loving father - it's just weird that the series never shows him experiencing conflict, or hinting that he may care. Or hell, even show us Kazuya's THOUGHTS regarding Jun and how she had THEIR KID. Fuck, they could've delved into Kazuya maybe even feeling guilty that he left Jun alone with a child (albeit not REALLY his fault bc he was Le Killed, but still)

It's just so bizarre to me that TK8 is pushing the "Kazuya DOES genuinely love Jun!" (a good thing) yet still writing him as Evil Ruthless Villain toward their shared son.

Some people try to say "oh but he HESITATED killing Jin in the last fight!" But honestly... I think that's just people trying to see something that wasn't really there. Especially considering he tried to kill Jin already in the start of the game yet never hesitated - not to mention the other times in the series, or in the alternate "bad ending" lmao. I think what people thought was "hesitation" was Kazuya just being exhausted from fighting for probs like an hour lmao

Anyway, this is something that both annoys me and perplexes me.

Right? It's so weird. They say Kazuya is this complex, almost tragic individual. In 2 they nailed it, well as much as they could through the minimal story. Through him still treasuring Jun, Jinpachi and Kazumi. Then turn around and make him a saturday morning cartoon villan. The annoying thing is, during four, seven and five they tease this multi layer to him.

In his midsection of four, he asks what Heihachi did with Jin, even going with him into the most obvious trap ever. In the start of Heiachi and his own ending, He almost looks concerned for Jin before Devil takes over. Little baby Birds back then even thought he merged with Devil to save Jin. Then nooope, he cackles and kills everyone in his ending and that's it.

In five, He's seen genuinely respecting and caring for Jinpachi. We even see babbu Kaz and him training. He calls Jinpachi JiJi and it's so cute...aaand then he kills him and cackles.

In Seven, we finally get to see that tragic cliff scene in full and finally learn Kazuya's true motivation. The reason he has fallen so far. At just five years old. Heihachi killed Kazumi, Kazuya's mother. Nearly everything he's done. He's done to avenge her. Mirroring Jin's own past and motivations. Could this finally be the end of the cycle? Nah, Jin spends the entire game comatose. We find out Kazumi sent Akuma from the streets to kill Heihachi and Kazuya. (With a heartbroken moment of Kazuya reeling from the reveal.)

A show of his good side in how he tells his empolyees to flee instead of stupidly risking their lives ina fight they'd never win. Then the climatic, emotional final showdown between father and son. A tragedy born of greif and hatred coming to an end. Were Kazuya finally wins.. But is just so tired (and sad) to feel any kind of closure before Akuma strikes again.

.....aaaand then he goes on to take over the world again and Jin finally wakes up. He becomes even worse, indiscriminately killng his empolyeed and enemy combatants alike, tries to kill his own son with. As you said, no hesitation. While randomly empolying the woman that killed his old empolyee. While also somehow still loving Jun.

Oh and Heihacji isn't dead after all. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

literally having the worst quarter of my life, like seriously this quarter has been sooooo bad. i have one class with a professor so bad i seriously considered just withdrawing from the class. this singular class has taken over my entire life it's even edging out me doing my hw for one of my other classes. i'm into week 8 tho so we're almost out of hell. i might actually be able to exist again soon but idk when the 'i lived bitch' lap will be just bc i might take a minute to just stare at a wall once the quarter is over. like i'm literally having war flashbacks to high school (it's been a DECADE) it's THAT bad.

Damn to be real, at times it's so depressing for me to RP as a villain. There's times where I like the angst, but there's other times where I prefer fluff. That's why I try to make things a somewhat even distribution between comedic/fluffy and intense in both of his verses

Just a quick update! This blog is not abandoned! I say this because I've gotten two asks now wondering if I'm still active. I'm just splitting my free time between @cinderschild, remaking Dio's carrd, deep cleaning my house, and spending time with my hubby. My goal is to have Dio all fixed up before Halloween. I wish I was faster but I only have so much energy and free time because busy season at work has started again. Thank you all for your patience!
