Hello all! Silver the Hedgehog here reporting from Skystream Jungle, the site of a large VermilineCorp Factory. Normally security protocols would be too tight to allow me in here, but I was able to slip through on account of some rather extreme panic in this part of the factory. This is my chance to show you all what V-Corp has been up to. We all know they're perhaps the most ethically bankrupt corporate entity in the multiverse, but now it's time to see just how bad it is. The hedgehog and pal enter the massive concrete structure - or what's left of it. Something happened here that caused quite a bit of it to rapidly accumulate disrepair. He eventually discovers the cause - what looks like a large train station fell from the sky on top of it. He looks around for a window to look into...

Across the train station, odd little creatures could be seen - rabbit-like people, rabbit-like people but with helmets and armor, tiny yellow fuzzballs that moved with a mind of their own - but perhaps the oddest thing was the one that couldn't be seen. The quiet tap-tap-tap of something on floor tiles, smooth and measured despite the destruction. Something well-acquainted with this building.

That is what the hedgehog can notice, just looking in through a window. The rhythmic tapping can't be heard very well from the outside, but once he's inside- the acoustics must have been very good in this place before its wreckage, because they still are. A simple sound echoed down halls and halls of broken walls, and the closer you get to a noise, the harder it is to pinpoint it... unless you know exactly what you are looking for.

The Connections We Forge: Galar

Hop was unsure what to do.

He felt lost. Uncertain, wavering.

Defeated.

Ever since he lost to Bede, he felt crushed.

Leon was busy with champion stuff, so he couldn't talk to him.

And Illanero...nobody in Galar had seen xem recently.

At least, not until xey turned on the news one day, and saw a certain Zorua-tailed trainer in Sinnoh, posing next to a Turtwig as part of an interview.

Had his friend left him? Had xey seen his loss against Bede, and decided Hop wasn't worth being friends with?

Hop didn't know what to do.

Bede was feeling relieved.

That other trainer that was hogging the Chairman's attention seemed to have left, judging by the fact he hadn't seen xem in a while, and how he kept hearing of a Zorua-tailed trainer being in other regions on the news.

Tch. Why did the Chairman seem to think more highly of a Pokemon than the challenger he personally endorsed? Why did he seem to care more about the Zorua than Bede himself?

But the Zorua wasn't here anymore. Xey were off on adventures in other regions, doing xyr own thing.

Leaving Bede to collect wishing stars in peace, to prove himself to the Chairman.

It was all that mattered.

Marnie was growing suspicious.

One of her fellow challengers, the Zorua-tailed one, had gone missing from Galar, after an altercation with Team Yell.

It was atop a cliff facing a bone-dry desert. If xey were pushed off by her fanclub, xey were likely gone.

One day, she asked the leader of her fan club, Decibel, if she knew what happened to the strange but kind challenger.

Decibel said she had no idea. Marnie didn't know what else she expected.

Marnie wanted to win the championship, to save Spikemuth.

But this didn't feel right.

Avery was still seething with anger.

Of course the dojo student who humiliated him was a Zorua. Of course. No wonder his psychic powers didn't work on xem, xey were a dark-type!

He hadn't heard the end of it from the other dojo students. He was supposed to be the rising star of the dojo! He was a gym leader! Minor League, but still! So...why? Why did everything have to go so wrong?

And the Zorua didn't even take it seriously! Xey licked him! During what was supposed to be his victory!

And now he was alone.
