Funny story, my friend's birthday is a bit over a week after mine and I have it in my calendar.

Thing is, my calendar told me every day for a week leading up to his birthday that it was his birthday coming up. So I decided I'd say happy birthday every day I got the notification, and he told me to shut the fuck up.

The day finally came, and I didn't get a notification. So I didn't say happy birthday all day (or get the gift in advance, shamefully). He spent that night roasting me and I just took it. He said things like 'Can't believe you wished me happy birthday on every day but my birthday' and 'I'm just gonna forget about your birthday now', in front of mutual friends.

We get to near the end of the night, and he stops and asks me when my birthday is. 'Yeah, it was a week ago'. He'd already missed my birthday (but to be fair, I don't talk about my birthday).

Everyone laughs because he'd been petty the whole night while I was just passive and taking it. We both sheepishly bought each other our gifts and agreed not to repeat that shituation.

Moral of the story, everyone should wish Puki happy birthday every day of the year.

We're the same age! Happy 27th birthday!
