i think “Lo-Fi Beats to Yoyle To” is one of my favorite not episode bfdi videos (is it a short? i guess its moreso a music video) purely because of how comfy it is and the slice of life-y ness of it. “its not canon-“ I DONT CARE SHOOTING U WITH MY EVIL LASER!!! um anyway yeah under the cut is me analyzing multiple scenes from it. i wont be looking into every single one but a lot of them

THE FIRST SCENE and its already a banger. even tho we dont see this hypothetical “team ice cube room” ever outside of this (yeah yeah not canon) it still is so interesting to like. think about. i cant remember how many times we’ve seen objects fall asleep at night but. i love how gelatin has a biiig sleep bubble thats him colored (does it taste like jelly??) AND. FIREY JR. SLEEPS IN A SOCK. thats adorable. anyway yeah even if its a reference to the lofi girl i really like how donut is, presumebly, writing in his diary? late at night with lofi music on? thats so cute. i also love how you can see a picture of bomby and a statue of ice cube on the top shelf

THIS SCENE is awesome too - we never really saw the big staircase outside of bfb 1 & 11 but i love the idea so much that it became a hangout spot for the objects! (in bfb 11x it even has graffiti on it after its first appearance in bfb 1, which is such a cool detail and goes to show the lived-in ness which i adore and this short does so well. and rhat isnt even in this video!! the point im making - bring back the big staircase. where did it go) even flower and bomby, characters who we never saw interact and are on different teams are listening to music together and eating bananas. thats so awesome, i love the idea that the contestants are way more chill with eachother when not competing? everything revolves around the competition which makes sense, but i love these little moments

next up! first off i love the lighting here, it seems to be at sunrise or sunset with the orange sky which is SO interesting cuz. we never see sunrise or sunset in the show!!!! its always just day or night. its crazy how they excluded the best time of day. anyway i love how:

i also really like how we see one of the paper airplanes. we see them in bfb 13 which is awesome too but seeing the stuff from prior challenges is so cool and i love the continuity

OMG ITS THE BFDI (Burried forest, deciduously insulated) again!!! i love seeing this thing, its similar to the paper airplanes or staircase where its so cool to see things which are one-off moments/objects/places in episodes, seeing them multiple times really helps flesh out the world. ALSO. naily and barfbag playing/vibing in the water. thats so adorable

the next scene is one where we see a few bleh members in their room from bfb 12 - once again going back to it being so cool to see places from other challenges!! (even if it appears to be the case that four just made and destroyed them for the episode.)

AND HERE we have pin vibing in the goiky canal(?) in one of the boats. this is so awesome i love seeing the bfdi boats reappear and i love how pin’s just chilling. love her for that

LAST ONE i want to go over: oh my GOD?? ITS LEGO BRICK IN ONE OF THE LEVELS FROM BFDIA 5B?? this was and still is such a cool reference. the idea that they’re still stuck in evil leafy is such a interesting and sad idea!! the lofi music gives this scene an heir of loneliness which makes it so weirdly compelling to me.

anyway yeah thats it!!! if theres one thing to learn one of the best thints competition shows can and should do imo is slow down every once in a while and show the contestants living their lives. this was seen more recently with bfdia 13 but this video is another great example and it doesnt even use words or a story. it doesnt need to, the object show is a visual media and this is such an awesome video which tells us so much about the bfdi universe without words

Day 1: Heterochromia I’ve come to the revaluation that my sona is already cringe as hell considering not only can his entire body change color but he also has differently colored eyes as a staple of his design. They’re usually yellow and blue but this time I color picked the blue from the trans flag and the mint from the Vincian flag for this color palette, it turned out really pretty :)

Day 2: Self Insert Now she isn’t my self insert anymore, but back in the day when I was at “peak cringe” she definitely was. This is my warriors OC Icypelt and I have a post going over part of her story on my profile somewhere. She’s been through a lot and I think her modern design is very pretty :)

Day 3: Unnecessarily complex fit/design Spider scene is kinda infamous in my brain for having wayyy too much detail but I love them and I think this might be my favorite one out of this batch, super cute, the pose is really cute and the colors are nice and fits her really well :D

day 4: Angel x Devil inevitable MCR reference ik, Helena and Revenge, love them dearly. Poor revenge man this one is cute and looks like a sticker!!

Arlan's not super into science stuff but he does pick up on a few things working on the Herta Space Station. He'll also try his best to keep up with whatever you're telling him about whatever scientific field has caught you interest.

most i got thats more lukewarm than anything: idk why someone would barely watch the show but be interested in the fanbase. i find it weird but interesting that we draw in a lot of people who only like the cute fanart and fics - and the characters as concepts - but not much else. and how easy it seems to get into bc of how well-known and trendy it is. but if i wasnt invested in the show and actually understanding the characters (by yknow...watching the damn show) i wouldnt be here.

i dont even think south park is perfect of flawless by any means, i have various episodes im probably gonna skip in future rewatches (and i'll be honest while i dont hate the early seasons... there are definitely episodes from them i find a forgettable). despite that i still like most of the show

I really do think South Park is a perfect storm as far as fandom goes. it's why I don't get why people outside the fandom are so perplexed by it because yeah, it's South Park, but it's also got about 400 bare bones characters who for the most part all have the exact same design aside from clothes and hair. they're kids with no concrete future (pcov made it clear that there are multiple future scenarios for these guys). you have a lot of freedom to play with. they are quite literally paper dolls.

(TO AN EXTENT!!! of course. obviously you need a personality to build off of. but lord knows this fandom argues about Correct Characterization enough and compared to other shows, these guys are a lot less consistent and way more malleable!)

that's like any fandom's dream, right? to be able to use your imagination and come up with dozens of different scenarios that can all feasibly happen within the universe? that's on top of the fact that SP and its fandom are old as dirt and there's a steady stream of content being created for it every year. it's, what? the second or third longest running cartoon after The Simpsons? and it's not going away any time soon, for better or for worse.

so in a sense, I actually can understand people engaging with this fandom without seeing much of the actual show. especially kids who are like, just here for creek or whatever. you can fit all of Craig and Tweek's interactions into a single youtube video and get a pretty good understanding of their canon relationship. you fill in the rest from there. it's not how I would ever engage with a fandom, but I get it.

it's the everything else that they do that baffles me. 😭

16. What’s the most daunting part of your process? Ex, planning, sketching, lineart, rendering etc

Hm I'm pretty fond of most of the process, but lets say we talk about lineless work, just starting out the color blocks is such a tedious thing. I need to get the shapes right, I need to get the colors properly contrasted, my coloring process takes a long time - its just a bit exhausting because the finish line is seemingly beyond the horizon. And to note - that its partially a "trust the process" sort of deal. I see it during its ugly phase and despair. And when I'm done it's really nice amd I have a really big ego about it. Otherwise, here's my process for Lineless - traditional thumbnail - taking the sketch to digital,and resketching it with proper proportions and the like - fixing up the sketch so that all the shapes are better defined - palettes study - lineless execution - color editing - effects

17. What inspires you?

I reblog a lot of art, and I like to study how they were executed. I enjoy a lot of other art forms as well like paintings, sculpture, packaging design and the like. I also enjoy composition of art, and a nicely composed piece looks so fantastic to me. I also find stories and characters very inspiring to me. I love exploring how a character interacts with others and the world. I like audiobooks, story podcasts (tho its been a while), cartoons, shows, and games. The stories and art of such media really get me going (brain excited) I'm kind of a bad media consumer cause either I'm tired or I'm drawing.

23. Do you listen to music or watch shows while you work? If so, what’s your favourite?

I do like audio noise. I like music, I make playlists for ships, Or just playlists for vibes. I also like to listen to long video essays and audiobooks. (The Murderbot Diaries is a fantastic series that I listened as an Audiobook). I prefer longform videos, like video games analysis. I need noise for my brain while I go on automatic mode when I draw. When I think though I need to hear myself think, and turn off sounds.

Hello! I was wondering if I could get a matchup? I’m bi so any gender is fine. I use she/her pronouns as well. For personality I’m creative, introverted, and individualistic. Though I’m introverted, around my friends/when I’m comfortable I can be quite talkative and humorous. However, I definitely treasure my alone time the most. Im a very big homebody and can be very hermit introvert sometimes. As for bad traits, I am sometimes the worst pessimist when it comes to myself. I’ll be fine motivating others but then when it comes to me I live by the “be ready for the worst and you wont be disappointed” As for hobbies escaping to new worlds while reading books/comics, watching movies, and playing rpg video games. My favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi, though I do love a good classic from time to time. Apart from that, I love working out. My interests on the other hand are art focused. I’m currently in art school working with mostly digital mediums, though I sometimes work with traditional. I love my practice and everything including, game, web and interaction design, video art and visual effects, 3D modeling and character design, and digital illustration. Sometimes I whip out graphite and ink. A list of random likes: coffee, chai tea, dark chocolate, rock/blues/jazz/80s pop/soundtrack music, cafe art shows, arcades, comic book stores, purple, thai/Indian/Chinese food, roller blading to classic rock, quality alone time. A random list of dislikes: people i am unfamiliar with and have to make small talk with, the biting cold, rain, non fiction, staying too close to reality and not being allowed to daydream/imagine/roam freely in my thoughts, physical touch, overly crowded areas. (A/N: WOW. This took forever to write. I had university assignments that are a higher priority for me 😳)

I hope you're into slow burn because this burn will be incredibly slow. It is worth it in the end, however, since he realizes how similar you are. You give off some major black cat energy, and I feel like Lance would quite appreciate that. He's also a bit introverted, so the first time you'd meet is during a class you're both basically conscripted into taking. You might laugh, but the way you'd actually get to know each other happens in the most "Wattpad" way possible: the two of you are paired up for a project kind of like what happens in his own route.

As he gets to know you, he takes more interest in what you're into. Of course, some of the more modern things you're into are a bit lost on him, but he's more than willing to hear about them. I headcanon that he also has an appreciation for art, so whatever artwork you'd make he'd absolutely adore. He may even ask you to draw him and Gruscha if you're okay with it. He'd even keep some of your pieces for himself.

If he does make it to Earth, I think he'd also like your more modern interests. Heck, I think he'd even do some of your favourite activities with you.

To say that the experience with your paramour on Earth was bizarre is putting it quite lightly. The ubiquitous nature of technology here is dizzying to him, much like magic was to you when you were unceremoniously thrown into Saligia. It took him a while to learn about the magicless world around him, but he managed in no time with your help.

Once he's got his footing on Earth, you took him to places you thought he'd enjoy: restaurants, parks, arcades, as well as some comic book stores. He quite enjoyed his time there, mostly because he was with you. Of course, he was still a bit lost, but he still enjoyed himself. His favourite activity was roller skating at an empty park with you.

oky so im working on Makoto's personality. and i was thinking to myself, well, a good way to start making that is by establishing their hobbies, and how they are connected to the rest of the Project Sekai cast.

Makoto dabbles in art. they've been drawing since they were little, and used to draw so much that they still have boxes of sketchbooks that they filled up with drawings. nowadays, though, they don't draw that much. they're too busy with school and other interests. however they do draw still, maybe just a little character ref and that's it. i think Makoto being a "retired" artist would be an interesting contrast to Ena, who is still dedicated to her art. Ena would have some anger towards Makoto for not using their talent enough, and also secretly be jealous and feel bad about her own art. And since Makoto is Kanade's cousin, kindess runs in the family and Makoto would constantly reassure Ena that they think her art is great and that they're the one who's secretly jealous of her because Ena hasn't given up on her talent. Cue some moments of Ena warming up to Makoto, just so subtly.

Makoto enjoys video games. as much as i have the urge to make them a Resident Evil fan, i think it would be funnier if Makoto was a huge fan of SEGA published games. since Project Sekai is published by SEGA and they have Sonic cameos in every single game they publish, Makoto's favorite game series is Sonic! i don't know if Nene is a fan of any SEGA games, from what i've seen from reading area conversations, she seems to just make vague references (for example, when she first enters the Wonderland Sekai, she says "it's like an open world JRPG"). since Makoto and Nene go to the same school, they probably talk about games during lunch. Nene has a shy personality, so she probably listens to Makoto rant about the quality of the Sonic series in recent years. Makoto would also listen to Nene infodump about musicals she likes, even though Makoto doesn't have too much of an interest in it, they like hearing how passionate Nene is about her special interest.

with Ichika's fixation and admiration for Hastune Miku, i think it would be silly if Makoto mirrored that with their admiration for Sonic the Hedgehog. characters who go to Kamiyama High School and have interacted with Ichika enough to know about her Miku idolization probably internally note how similar Makoto acts with their Sonic idolization. Ichika and Kanade HAVE interacted canonically (i am not caught up with the stories yet though) so maybe even Kanade notices the similarities and thinks about introducing their cousin to Ichika. or maybe Makoto and Ichika run into each other at a collectors store and stop and stare at each other and see the other covered in Miku/Sonic merch and think "wow they're just like me for real".

as for other interests, Makoto would really really like film. i already joked that i designed them with season one Jesse Pinkman in mind, so i think Makoto being interested in Western films and shows would be silly. they would get along greatly with Rui, Tsukasa, and Mizuki. Tsukasa recruited Rui to his troupe because he knew Rui was a great director, and Tsukasa himself already writes great stories and scripts. Mizuki creates MVs for their group, and being an MV creator irl, it's the same as directing but like... by yourself. Tsukasa invited Makoto to watch WxS practice and set up their shows, and Makoto very much enjoys watching and helping them with their behind the scenes work. they like how Rui has very over the top and extreme ideas, and end up encouraging him much to Nene's dismay. meanwhile, with Mizuki, Makoto will go out with them (skipping school a lot together) and talk about how Mizuki gets inspired by everyday things for their MV production.

and in the topic of Mizuki, Makoto has a very different fashion sense than them. they're both trans-non binary, and have an immediate connection when they first meet. Mizuki drags Makoto around and tries to make them try on things (masc clothes, but Mizuki is a fashion genius and wants to help Makoto look GOOD and CUTE while they pass). Makoto is as much as a shopaholic as Mizuki is, too, so they often also drag Mizuki around to shops that they like. so in a day they'll be running around to clothes stores and shoe stores and comic stores and game stores. also, i noticed that Mizuki really REALLY likes french fries, so i think it would be silly if Makoto did, too, so they just keep going to restaurants together ordering an insane amount of fries and giggling with their bags and bags from shopping all day.

i mentioned that Makoto skips school a lot. they don't like the school environment and their mom won't let them do the night classes that Kamiyama offers (the ones Ena takes since she doesn't like the 6+ hour schedule). i'm not entirely sure what the school system in Japan teaches, but Makoto would be great in everything except for math and science. like... those are their WORST subjects, embarrassingly so. they're great at any literature or history class. and we don't talk about sports classes (like Kanade, Makoto has nonexistent stamina. it runs in the family). well anyways, Makoto is missing work and guess what that means! they need a tutor! so just by happenstance, Makoto and their mom run into nonother than Mafuyu, and after a lengthy conversation (much to both Mafuyu's dismay (she's irritated) and Makoto's embarrassment (they hate their mom)), Mafuyu ends up becoming Makoto's tutor. so when Makoto isn't at work (they work at Weekend Garage and i'll talk about that next), they meet up with Mafuyu to do work. Makoto thinks Mafuyu is really great at helping out but also they feel really uneasy around her. they're close to Kanade's other group members (Ena and Mizuki), but find it difficult to get along with Mafuyu outside of tutoring. but they make an effort to anyway and out of the blue ask if Mafuyu wants to go see a movie with them. now their relationship also involves Makoto inviting Mafuyu to do things with them, wanting to help Mafuyu experience new things. Makoto and Mafuyu are alike in that they have a very rocky relationship with their mothers, and Makoto ends up being someone that Mafuyu shows her true self around, too.

anyways i said that Makoto works at Weekend Garage. being friends with Mizuki ultimately leads into Makoto befriending everyone else part of the Kamiyama Rooftop Friendship group (Mizuki, An, Nene, Rui, Tsukasa, Akito, and Toya). An and Makoto have a conversation during class around when they were getting to know each other and Makoto mentions how their mother is pressuring them to find a job, to which An offers that they could work at Weekend Garage, the cafe/bar that An's dad owns. and doing so, Makoto also meets Kohane. Makoto sometimes watches VBS practice when they're on break. and since Makoto often skips school, they'll go to Weekend Garage to get a longer shift done, so they can make more money (and they can't work there during bar hours since they're a minor).

and so i have made Makoto connected to Nighcord at 25:00, Wonderlands x Showtime, and Vivid BAD SQUAD. i need to figure out a stronger connection for them to Leo/need other than just having met Ichika a few times (maybe Tsukasa introduces Makoto to Saki at some point?). and connecting Makoto to MORE MORE JUMP! will be kinda hard since ALL four members go to Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy, but maybe i can figure out something. i'm thinking maybe i can use Ena for that, since she's friends with Airi and Shizuki... using Mafuyu, Emu, or Kohane for that connection would be hard too since i'm not entirely sure how close those three are to the MMJ members.

long post about how i'm enjoying pokemon scarlet :D

warning for some spoilers for the game. not story spoilers. just spoilers on some mechanics and moments that could be enjoyable as a surprise!

so a little of my background with the franchise before i go into my thoughts (so you can see how closely my own opinions align with your own, and therefore know how much my opinion on the game does or does not mirror yours).

I grew up with the spinoff games, Stadium & Snap for the N64 were some of the first video games I ever played (and played constantly all the time growing up). And when I was around 7/8/9 I got really into the Pokemon Ranger series (my favorite of the time being Shadows of Almia) and I played Battle Revolution a lot as well (I used to rent it all the time from the library). This is of course, in addition to watching the anime.

I tried other pokemon games, including the main series, but they didn't resonate with me at that phase in my life.

so anyways, when Pokemon Black & White came out, I was suddenly interested in the main series. if i had to guess -- i think it was because people i knew on deviantart at the time were into it lol.

so that came out, i played through it. enjoyed it enough! black & white 2 came out, i played through it and enjoyed it enough.

then X&Y were announced, and it was the first era i was actively watching nintendo directs all the time, and just keeping up w gaming news. so i was stoked! i got it on release day, and played through it very quickly, and tried matsuda method shiny hunting when i was done lol (i never got the shiny tho. i quit after like 600 eggs)

meanwhile in contrast, when sun and moon came out. i was keeping up with things, but idk? i have to assume it was the stage in my life i was in (i was 17 and it was my era of dropping out of every extracurricular activity i was in because i couldn't be fucked to do or care about anything that wasn't drawing). i bought the game, but legit only played the first few hours and stopped playing. it's always been funny to me, because i really loved the way the 3DS era style had been plused up. i liked the new pokemon, i was interested in the story... but it just didn't keep me engaged at that time.

so when sword and shield came out and it was soooo blasted. i didn't know how i'd feel about the game, but still bought it release day. and uh. i loved it? i loved it so much. its the most fun i've ever had with a mainline game.

so now going into scarlet & violet, there's a lot of options on the table for how i'd feel about it lol. i wanna add: i'm not done yet. i've beaten 4 gym leaders, gotten one titan, and my pokemon are level 35-40.

I didn't like the start of the game very much. There was no easy answer for how to handle it, like they needed to give a lot of info out the gate, and it's hard to do that in a way that isn't overwhelming. I like Nemona a lot though, and I like how the legendaries of these games are just with you the whole time (the way legendaries are handled typically is not for me) also i LOVE the customization out the gate (hair & face & stuff) i love how my character looks.

so anyways, felt negative for the opening. and then when i started with my adventure, i was soooo bugged by the camera angle you have in most battles. like i'm a slut for a fixed camera angle. the way the camera moves in past pokemon games did not need to be changed lol. the new free camera just has no optimal view. i feel so far removed from the action, like im watching ants.

when i complained abt this to a friend, he brought up it might have to do with the way terrain works in this game. and like... that could be true? but also i don't think the terrain being the way it is is a good enough mechanic to warrant removing the fixed camera. i wish they figured something out.

so the thing that made me start feeling positive was sort of a funny thing lol. i was feeling bummed abt the things all above, and i was also feeling weird abt the nonlinearity. like it means there cant be as many unique interactions since they dont know where in the game u are. and in sword & shield, i really got attached to the gym leaders (for the first time) and i wasn't feeling that same spark here.

i sorta felt like, lol. well. the nonlinearity is here, i might as well take advantage of it and just go across the whole map to get a pokemon i like early (in this case my goals were to get: zorua & gothita).

so i started on my way, and i was passing through one of the dessert/mountainous terrains and i bumped into that giant klawf (the stony cliff titan). and was trying to avoid him bc i didn't know what was going on and didn't want him to wreck my pokemon. but i accidentally got in a battle with him. and panicked a bit because i thought i sequence broke and wasn't supposed to be there yet or something, only to get him in one hit because i was actually over leveled LMFAO.

stumbling on major events randomly like that are my favorite part of nonlinear sandbox games. and it just gave me this perspective change of like, okay. this isn't sword and shield. it's not meant to be sword and shield! this is it's own game, and i should enjoy it for what it is and not dwell on what it isn't... and i'm having so much fun now lol.

i got an outfit i like, my team is bringing me a lot of joy, i'm gonna ask if my bestie (who happened to get violet) could send me a misdreavus because thats my only fav [who's in the game] that i don't have yet... and its because they're not in my version of the game lol.

other good experiences i've had: u can see my beloved babygirl Gus in both of these. azumarill and the line has never been a fav of mine, but i was charmed by a wild azurill near the start of the game, and decided to catch it. i was talking w my mom while i was playing, and asked if she wanted to name her, and she said "Gus" SOO fast. like even before i finished asking her. thank u mom, i love gus so much.

i ADORE how when tandemaus evolves into maushold, the game doesn't tell u. like, i thought i'd encountered my first glitch (that people love to talk abt so much).. but no its just the cutest mechanic.

So. I have, once again, come to the conclusion that the reason why we can't have the best in life is because people have copyrighted the good and refuse to let anyone make it better... This is gonna be a gaming ramble btw. A long one.

Anyway let's begin with what started the realisation this time. A few days back, probably prompted by my rebinge of TGSAnime's Yu-Gi-Oh videos, I was suggested to watch a couple videos of someone playing tag force. It was okay, not the greatest, but I liked how the character models of the duelists had an animation for everything from drawing, setting a card and activating a spell. It was cute.

Well about an hour ago I stumbled across a video title that REALLY caught my attention. One that was talking about the Tag Force series, which holy shit there's more than one game, while also calling them dating Sims. As a romantic (read, guy who really crushed on Alexis Rhodes when GX first came out) I decided this video needed a watch through and.... Well damn if it wasn't the most amazing game I've ever heard of. Not only do you get to go through Duel Academy, and all the events of the show, as your own original character. But you get to interact with the characters and bond with them! Then, in the sequel, you get your own little unique story lines with them after the show plot is over! And in the third and final one (final GX one I mean)? All that growth from the first two games carries over into the final season 4 plot along with you, feeling like your own complete character, graduating duel academy.

Obviously this sounded like the most amazing thing I had ever heard of in my life so, of course, I immediately started googling to see if anyone had taken this idea and pushed a little further with it. Made it into more of a fleshed out dating sim with unique interactions. The results? Not only do Yu-Gi-Oh and dating sim only bring you right back to Tag Force. But Yu-Gi-Oh and rpg seems to be just as barren a search. I'm sorry but I find it incredibly hard to believe that Im the only one who's interested in hearing about the characters of an anime interacting with you as you join them on their journeys. If Konami made a series out of it then clearly there's a target audience.

But nope. All I got were card game simulations. As if people no longer care about the characters and the stories. Bull. The card game sucks, it's beyond broken and the obsession with meta is garbage. It's the same thing that ruined competitive Pokemon for me, the top ten in every tournament using almost the exact same team of six (some of whom have even admitted to using hacked perfect IV and evs because they don't give a damn about the game and see if as an easy way to make money. I don't know if that's still the case but the fact a competitive scene could ever let it get to that point? Is disgusting.)

Anyway, my hatred of competition meta ruining fun games not withstanding, let's talk about this realisation. Konami clearly owns the rights to developing bonds as you interact and play alongside your favourite duelists. (I know that's not how copyright works but I swear it makes sense eventually.) Because of this? There is no chance of finding any other fanwork using this same premise but pushing it a bit further. Giving you minigames or other events you can spend with your partner beyond simple dueling or talking... Or giving them eggwhiches (my brain practically overloaded when I heard that was a feature.) Anything to develop the relationship further. Nope. The best we will ever get is Tag Force. Which, I mean, is still amazing and raises the possibility of Konami doing a remaster some day which I am all for. I just heard this existed and it's the best thing ever. I would die for a remaster.

But, as pointed out in my first paragraph, this isn't the first time I've come to the realisation that a system, which would be beyond amazing if manipulated a bit, will forever remain stuck with the original creators who don't care to improve on it. The other examples? Fire Emblem and Persona. Both of these series are God-tier. The social links and affinity systems are amazing! So, of course, you can imagine my severe disappointment when, after my first encounter with both these series, I saw nobody else had done anything like it. No social links that affect the story beyond a few optional scenes (though P5 using all the confidants to boost gameplay mechanics? *Chefs kiss* brilliance.) And no games where affinity rank ups are more than a few lines of dialogue that are almost exactly the same in spite of who the characters interacting are (most noticeable when dealing with the scenes between parents and children. The parent with the same class would get an incredibly detailed scene while the other parent just got the generic other parent scenes with maybe a line or two different. I don't even think there's anything special about siblings.)

Seriously. That is three separate series, with three separate mechanics that have so much potential. And nobody else is doing anything with them. How can we possibly still be getting inspired fangames based on the Gameboy Pokemon era graphics and yet nobody has touched these ideas? It could be so good. But it won't. Because the copyright holders don't care about improving it.

For personality I’m creative, introverted, and individualistic. Though I’m introverted, around my friends/when I’m comfortable I can be quite talkative and humorous. However, I definitely treasure my alone time the most. Im a very big homebody and can be very hermit introvert sometimes. My favorite genres are fantasy and sci-fi, though I do love a good classic from time to time. Apart from that, I love working out. My interests on the other hand are art focused. I’m currently in art school working with mostly digital mediums, though I sometimes work with traditional. I love my practice and everything including, game, web and interaction design, video art and visual effects, 3D modeling and character design, and digital illustration. Sometimes I whip out graphite and ink.

Apart from the pay and shitty treatment from the more fortunate staff, the four of you working together almost felt like a dream that you never wanted to wake up from. You took a job working as an art teacher, running painting, drawing and many other types of classes over the weeks at the hotel.

When you found out that Penny was pregnant, you tried to be optimistic for her, but you couldn't help but be afraid. Afraid of what might happen if Max found out, of all of you losing your jobs and therefore everything. Johnny could tell. It was difficult to lie to him anyway but as Billy also joked about, you both knew eachother too well.

A part of him supposedly knowing you too well was that he knew you were extremely pessimistic about yourself, and he hated that. He wanted you to really know how he felt about you, and know how amazing you truly are.

Since it was definitely one of the bigger rooms that staff had, you shared a room at the hotel. There was a lot of empty space in the room, so the two of you converted one of the corners into a kind of art studio for you to use in your free time.

That was how the two of you often spent your free time. He loved to watch you work- your focus and dedication was inspiring to him.

When it came to romantic gestures, you both knew that you never had much money, and when you did it wouldn't last long. It was the small things that you really appreciated. Whether that was you buying him a new vinyl, him getting you a new book, or any other small gestures.

Some of the best moments of his life were the two of you, sat in your room listening to music. Whether you were deep in a conversation about pretty much anything or in complete silence, the two of you couldn't have been happier. He enjoyed your company just as much as you did his.

Another thing that you both loved was reading together. Both of you would enjoy reading fiction together, often using it to escape the world that you lived in.

When you read together, there would be a comfortable silence until it was broken every now and then by one of you commenting on the book you were reading.

Given that she was forced into politics at a young age, Padme was more experienced in creating formal relationships and found romantic gestures more difficult that you would.

Often, Padme would gift you with new art supplies.

She would be fully aware of your boundaries when it came to the relationship between the two of you and your relationship with other people, especially people that you do not know well.

As it would just about anyone, his title 'Kingslayer' would scare you. Make you feel anxious in battle. No matter how good he was at fighting, it seemed that this name was almost like a target on his back. He tried to convince you that he could protect himself, though you always worried that his title was like a challange and one day someone would be able to say that they had murdered the kingslayer.

When you moved to Kinglanding, you would spend most of your time together since neither of you really knew many other people. This didn't change as you began to get used to your new home, though you valued your alone time and he respected this, giving you space when you wanted it.

He would be aware of your discomfort around unfamilliar people and try to make sure you were rarely, if ever put in a position that could make you feel uncomfortable or anxious.

When Jamie realised that he wanted to marry you, he took you to one of the gardens in kingslanding. You spend almost an hour walking around the gardens together, talking about anything that came up.

When you reached a spot with one of the most beautiful views for miles, he seemed slightly panicked, which was not something you had seen in him before. He was fidgeting, stuttering a little and you were almost concerned.

He didn't seem to know what to say, though afterwards you were certain he would have tried to rehearse it in the mirror or in his head hundreds of times before doing it.

When he did manage to build up the confidence to get down on one knee, all he could do was ask that nessecary question.

Ok so! I've been lurking an looking at the Swap Au with Narry an the. Director an I just love it lots im probably! Gonna draw some thing for you but uhm. So this is kinda. I've been thinking about the Player!

In this Au it doesn't make much sense for there to be a player but I've been thinking an. So you know how the Director is obviously uhm! Has more power than humans and such, in the. Office way but can't directly controll Narry, maybe there's something that can! The Player obviously. Again it doesn't make much sense? In the context of your au but I just can't get it out of my . Brain. Rotating it .

So how would. They Player interact through Narry an what would. How would the Director feel?? Probably not good haha. Also maybe Players are a sort of. So there's the Director an Curator (Im so sorry I can't remember the au name ough) and probably a lot of other beings like them, so maybe the Player is . Also something they're aware of? At least to some degree? Like the Player (s) are a type of . Being that comes an goes an can be unpredictable! Like youre not sure if a Player would. How would you know until it's to late?

Maybe Players are a sort of. Hmm traveler type things? They find a "story" they find interesting an take control of the "main character" , in this case Narry. It could be that in this au Players are more like! Curious beings but definitely detached? Like they either don't know or don't care that theyv taken over an actual person.

And maybe it depends on what type of Player is in control! Like there could be a Player that's just. That messes with things an doesn't listen to the Director at all on purpose. What about a Player that's looking for all the "endings"? Or looking for secrets?? Or a Player that just genuinely wants to explore the story? AAGAHG there's so so many different things!

And what about Narry?? Like somethings else is currently piloting his body an he can only watch. Maybe it's a sort of ! Out of body experience? He's just a passenger an its more like. Everything feels like he's underwater n he can't focus on one thing really. But if he can then that's absolutely terrifying !! Plus there'd be no "dialog options" so it's not like Narry , or the Player, can communicate with the Director

And for the Director, who's trying to help Narry with his perfectionism an other things, this is a super huge road block!!! Especially because the Director actually cares about Narry an is probably worried about him. Like I assume the Director knows what a Player is but maybe . Like it's. You never know how to exactly deal with a Player? You can't get rid of them exactly, they have to. Get the experience they want an then leave or maybe they can get bored an "log off" so to speak?

okay so there's a lot going on in this ask, so I'll try to answer what I think you're asking

1) you're right in that narrys parabke would not work as a video game. I always imagined it as a TV series or a movie. However, if there was a player like entity... Perhaps it would just act as a... Like... Opposite to a storyteller?

2) they possess people and "tell stories" with their lives, but of course, the person who's being possessed didn't fucking consent to that. Or they take away the story experience from the vessel.

3) they could be called players, or maybe storysnatchers... Maybe they're like those cockroach mfs on infinity train where if you get too far out... Uh oh.

4) narry getting possessed by one is very obvious. He stops talking. Immediately, director knows what's happening and gets the entertainer. the entertainer I think would be the best for getting rid of these guys bc 432 can fucking mess w the code so... Y'know. Maybe entertainers got some experience.

What are your interests/hobbies?

I have a lot of interests, i love to draw and write and im learning to play the ukelele! I love science and always have loved science and i want to be a scientist one day, either an astrophysicist or maybe something to do with chemistry? I also like things like rocks and rodents and food. I like to cook and organize things, though i dont enjoy baking very much. Finally i also love playing video games and photoshopping stupid stuff. I also dont like watching tv or movies very much.

How do you see yourself?

I think im pretty charismatic and reasonably smart, though im not sure if ill ever be able to meet my own standards for being a great person, but i do try my hardest to be a really kind person and understand people. Im also really creative and i think im really good at designing characters and mapping out stories. My more negative traits are that im really obsessive over my interests and can annoy the shit outta people with how much i talk about them. Also when i get excited i tend to lose control a little bit especially over my voice and get kinda loud lmao (life of the autistic kid i sppose lol)

How do you think others see you?

I think my friends think im a lot smarter and cooler than i actually am. I also think they probably think im a lot happier and less scared of a person than i actually am. I really dont like people worrying about me so i always make sure to project a happy face even if im stressed or sad, and im not a sad person but sometimes i get sad and it can be hard because i can only face it alone.

How do you interact with your friends?

I act really enthusiastic around my friends and i always try to enjoy the things they enjoy while i also try and show them the things i like. If i notice my friends getting annoyed by me though i tend to detach myself from the group for a while. 

What’s important to you? (Specific people, ideas, morals, objects, ect.) 

Being a good person is really important to me. Im a really sentimental person and i place a lot of emotional value into most things i own. I also really care about my friends and my pet cats

I strive to be above all really kind to people and helpful, i also want to be smart and talented. My dream is to be able to tell a really cool story that people are able to enjoy!!
