Move update

So we've secured a new rental as of this morning we just got to negotiate the move in date now.

It's smaller but cleaner and the appliances work. We got to meet one of the neighbors and she's super sweet. The new house isn't too far away we just need to worry about downsizing and putting stuff in storage for now.

Hopefully we'll have a lot more luck here than we did with the last two places

Chicago's police force has declined by 19% since Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) took office in May 2019 and, despite the drastic drop in numbers, Lighftoot maintains The Windy City is keeping its people safe with more police.

"Everyone in our city deserves to be safe because they are safe," she said Thursday. 

"What have we done? We've worked on making sure that we take more handguns and illegal guns off the street. We've worked on making sure that we provide more police, particularly in areas of the city that are suffering most," she added.

ILLINOIS SEES STAGGERING DROP IN PARAMEDIC FORCE, DRIVEN BY ‘BURNOUT’ AND VIOLENCE AGAINST FIRST RESPONDERS Retired Chicago police Lieutenant John Garrido fired back at Lightfoot's claims on "Fox & Friends First" Wednesday, saying, "She's right that we all deserve to be safe, but the problem is that we're not safe because of her failed administration."

Fox News' Ashley Strohmier pivoted off one of Garrido's statements about beat officers, asking how Lightfoot possibly got her numbers and how the shortage is affecting beat cops' ability to respond to 911 calls.

"Beat officers are the backbone of the department. Those are the officers that are handling the 911 calls, they're the ones that are doing the street stops, they're in uniforms in the marked squad cars and they're basically the visible deterrent out there," Garrido said.

"She uses smoke and mirrors basically," he continued "What you're not seeing there is the number of officers that are detailed out of these units that are actually in units like her protection detail. She actually has over 110 officers now in her protection detail when these districts are starved for manpower…"

He told Strohmier that the shortage has rendered some patrol cars empty while others are only manned by one officer, adding that the city is running on a "skeleton crew."

Lightfoot vies for re-election on February 28 when she will face off against a slew of other candidates challenging her bid for a second term.

Garrido said he hopes Lightfoot doesn't reach the runoff and that the citizens of Chicago will "send her packing" after the election.

When her father is next to vanish, Aster resolves to find and rescue the missing bunnybirds—even if it means journeying over the rim of the world itself!

My middle grade graphic novel is officially available for preorder! Bunnybirds is a story about trauma, friendship, and my experience with autistic masking. It was drawn entirely with Prismacolor colored pencils and Pandafly markers, with Photoshop applied for color enhancement and text.

Kuroo Tetsurou x female reader

"I'm married."

Kuroo flashes the ring as he says it, a not-all-that-apologetic smile on his face. Happily, he doesn't add. He doesn't often need to – most of the women who approach him take the hint and move on, no harm no foul. He can't really blame them for their interest, leaning ever so casually against the bar, his suit expensive, hair an artful mess, Kuroo knows he cuts a handsome figure.

But he has no interest in a quick fuck, nor in anything else the woman before him can offer.

Yet far from being deterred, her red lips curl into a playful smirk. "What she doesn't know won't hurt her," she purrs, and lays a perfectly manicured hand over his arm. "Buy me a drink?"

Kuroo straightens then, lets his eyes roam over her body. Slowly, lazily, drinking down every inch of her. And she is a pretty thing, her form fitting dress leaving little to the imagination. She knows it, too, eyes sparkling as she bats long, dark eyelashes at him.

Another firmer dismissal forms on the tip of his tongue, and yet something holds him back. There's a bad taste in his mouth that's lingered since the morning, the sting of your bitter, acidic words having struck deeper than perhaps you intended.

Maybe he was too hasty with his earlier dismissal; she might just serve a purpose after all.

Kuroo chuckles, swallows the last mouthful of his drink and sets the empty glass down on the counter. Glances at the bartender, "Another, and one of whatever the lady would like."

There's a glint like victory in her face as she says, "Champagne, and make it a bottle."

She makes herself comfortable in his lap, flirting with practiced charm, confident and sultry. Her red tipped fingernails toying with his hair, lightly scratching down the back of his neck as she laughs at his jokes. She'd introduced herself earlier in the night, but Kuroo's already forgotten her name by the time he's hailing down a cab, the two of them bundling inside.

If he were being totally honest, he'd forgotten it the second she'd said it. Names, after all, weren't important here.

"Your wife?" she questions when Kuroo gives the driver his address. Cautious, rather than concerned. He imagines that running into the wife of the man you're trying to fuck probably sucks the fun out of the indiscretion.

He throws her an easy wink, pulling her back onto his lap. "Don't worry about it."

She shrugs, unbothered.

Her lips leave painted smudges over his throat, possessive in a way. Like she's staking her claim over her perceived conquest. "She won't hold a candle to me, baby," she promises, her hand teasingly trailing over the crotch of his pants.

His eyes darken, blood thrumming as he growls, "Don't make promises you can't keep."

She just giggles, tugging him into another heated kiss.

And she barely manages to extricate herself from his side as the two of them make their way into the building, up the elevator.

His apartment's quiet when they stumble inside. She kicks her heels off and attacks his tie, doesn't hear the mechanical clicks of the three locks automatically sliding into place.

Down the hallway, his jacket tossed aside, shirt unbuttoned. And with every step, the feeling of anticipation grows. She's too wrapped up in the zipper of her dress to notice the sounds of life stirring on the other side of his bedroom door, but they're etched into Kuroo. Everything about you is, inextricably.

He wouldn't have it any other way.

He's been waiting for this moment all day, itching and impatient, the sight of you sprawled out atop his bed, waiting for him in the pyjamas he bought you a balm to the day's stresses. You're such a good girl. Even when you're mad at him.

And yet the moment the door swings open, the two of them bursting inside, you startle and flinch– the chain around your ankle clinking noisily at the sudden, jerking movement.

"Tetsu? What– what's going on?" you breathe, eyes warily darting between him and the half dressed woman at his side.

"What the hell?!"

Kuroo smiles – that soft, indulgent expression he saves just for you – seizing her by the arm the second she tries to step back, tightening his grip until she's whimpering, begging.

"Hey, sweetheart. Did you miss me?"

This morning you'd gotten all worked up over some nonsense, silly notions about him 'growing bored' and 'tossing you aside', as if you weren't his soulmate. His one true north.

And he'd laughed and told you how ridiculous you were being – right up to the point where you implied he'd find somebody to replace you.

You're his wife, he won't abide you thinking like that. Not for a fucking second.

You said things you didn't mean, lashing out because you were scared, he knows that. Tried not to take it to heart. You're not afraid that he'll go out seeking someone else, you're afraid that greedy fucking whores are going to sink their claws into him and try to pull him away from you.

They'd sooner have luck drawing blood from stone, but Kuroo's always been one to go above and beyond, especially where you're concerned.

And if it helps put your mind at ease, he's more than happy to prove just how deep his loyalty to you – his absolute devotion – runs. As many times as it takes.

That's love.

With a harsh shove, Kuroo sends the woman sprawling to the floor.

He laughs, "Relax, it's not what you think."

Yujiro: We’ve come to Izumo as a reward for completing our album.

Aizo: We’ll be sharing a little glimpse of today’s trip with you guys, so enjoy!

Yujiro: We’ve been here since yesterday, but let’s start off with our wake up call!

Aizo: You’re showing them that?!

Yujiro: Good morning, everyone. It’s 6am. It’s still too early to have breakfast, but I’m going to show you Aizo’s sleeping face.

Yujiro: He sure is asleep, hm?

Yujiro: He’s drooling.

Yujiro: Aizo, you’ll be late. You’ll be late, you know?

Aizo: Eh? What?

Yujiro: It’s already 9 o’clock, hurry! Get up!

Aizo: Ah? It’s 9?

Yujiro: You’ll be late for work!

Aizo: Why’re you filming me?! You’re lying for sure! Stop it!

Yujiro: [laughs] And that, Julieta, was Aizo’s sleeping face!

Aizo: And here we are at the breakfast table. We’re about to have our breakfast.

Yujiro: Aizo has woken up too.

Aizo: Wow, Yujiro, you’re having Japanese food as expected, huh? Ooh, isn’t that Izumo Soba?

Yujiro: And you, Aizo, are having Western food as expected… Wait, what the heck? You’re having pasta first thing in the morning?

Aizo: I just felt like having it today. Even you feel like having Western food in the morning sometimes, don’t you?

Yujiro: I guess so. I wouldn’t eat pasta in the morning, though.

Aizo: I’m sure the Julieta watching this will be like “I just knew Yujiro’d be eating Japanese food and Aizo’d be having Western food”, huh?

Yujiro: Maybe they will. We do give off those impressions, don’t we? Just like how we’d have either coffee or cocoa respectively.

Aizo: I got it. Wanna change the impressions we give off by trading our breakfast meals?

Yujiro: I don’t wanna. I want to eat my soba.

Aizo: Yeah, yeah.

Yujiro: Julieta, which do you prefer? Western food? Japanese food? Tell us, okay?

Aizo: Yum!

Aizo: We don’t usually shoot vids all by ourselves, huh?

Yujiro: Though you say “usually”, this is the first time we’ve done it, right? The staff always tag along with us.

Aizo: They plan all kinds of programmes for us too, right? Yeah. So, where do we go now?

Yujiro: Ehh, I don’t know. You decide, Aizo.

Aizo: Me? You decide, Yujiro. I dunno where to go either.

Yujiro: You decide, Aizo.

Aizo: Eh?! You’re kidding! Hmm… I can’t think of anything.

Yujiro: Planning ahead sure is important, isn’t it?

Aizo: Yeah. Let’s just walk around for now.

Yujiro: And so, we’re now at the footbaths!

Aizo: Phew, it’s hot in here!

Yujiro: We came here too last time, didn’t we?

Aizo: Yeah, back during our live tour, right?

Yujiro: Oh right, Aizo, how do you feel about the release of our second album?

Aizo: Of course I’m happy ‘bout it. I mean, releasing even just one album’s already pretty amazing.

Yujiro: Yup. The fact that we’re able to release a second album is all thanks to our Julieta, right?

Aizo: Yeah. We’ve gotta try even harder to meet their expectations, huh? How do you feel about the album, Yujiro?

Yujiro: I guess I feel differently about it than I did about our first album.

Aizo: Eh? How so?

Yujiro: I feel as though I wouldn’t have been able to do it alone. It’s all thanks to the support and expectations of our Julieta that we’re able to stand on stage. And, as that stage grows bigger and bigger, I get the feeling that I wouldn’t have been able to respond to the size of the stage all by myself.

Aizo: Yeah, I feel the same way. I’ve had thoughts like “Why are there 2 guys in LIPxLIP? I could do it by myself.” before. But this has made me realise once again that going at it alone would just mean halving our power.

Yujiro: We’re able to develop better together as a pair than we would have on our own. I'd say that we’re indispensable to each other for sure.

Aizo: Yeah, we are. Plus, things would sure get boring without a rival around, huh?

Yujiro: Yup. Aizo, the friendly rivalry between you and me… Wait a sec! This is going to be a bonus video! Isn’t this conversation getting embarrassing?!

Aizo: Yeah, it is. But isn’t it fine for us to talk about our true feelings when the two of us are on a trip together?

Yujiro: I guess so. We’re alone on this trip together, after all.

Aizo: Yeah. Aight then, let’s end this off with a word of thanks to our Julieta.

Yujiro: Thank you for getting our second album, Julieta.

Update 4: he's still alive but barely lmao. We were texting but then his "eyes hurt too much to type" so he started sending voice messages, but he's still super congested and coughing every other sentence, so he basically just sent me porn and doesn't even know it, so idk how I feel about that 😭 brought over a bag of stuff from the store plus food and snacks so he wouldn't have to go out and left it at the door. Dude then proceeded to send another voice message literally blowing his nose and talking about how nice real tissues feel bc his nose is all chapped, so I'm not okay about that either lmao. But I didn't have to see him this time/be near him so I love that for me 😌
