Random but I was rereading ootp today and the scene during the prefect party for Ron and Hermione that the order shows up for intrigued me.
There’s a moment where Hermione is talking passionately about her S.P.E.W organization and her view on elf rights to lupin, we only get to hear part of it because Harry moves on pretty quickly as it does not interest him in the slightest, but what do you think the rest of that conversation was like? And what do you think are lupin’s view on elf rights are in general? He is the one in the order dinner conversation with Arthur and Bill who brings up the oppression that goblins face and why that would make them wary of joining their side, so he is aware and somewhat supportive of creature’s rights.
I also wonder how his own condition plays into this, and how he feels about the rights he and “his kind” should have. I wonder about his politics in general lol because he is filled with so much self hate and has such a drive to assimilate to wizarding society, I wonder if he hold views that could be the equivalent of a werewolf Uncle Tom (american term for self hating black person who doesn’t advocate for their community and is usually very into respectability politics). What’s your take on this?
Hermione was talking very earnestly to Lupin about her view of elf rights. “I mean, it’s the same kind of nonsense as werewolf segregation, isn’t it? It all stems from this horrible thing wizards have of thinking they’re superior to other creatures....”
OotP Ch9 pg170
“I’m sure they’d never go over to You-Know-Who,” said Mr. Weasley, shaking his head. “They’ve suffered losses too. Remember that goblin family he murdered last time, somewhere near Nottingham?” “I think it depends what they’re offered,” said Lupin. “And I’m not talking about gold; if they’re offered freedoms we’ve been denying them for centuries they’re going to be tempted. Have you still not had any luck with Ragnok, Bill?”
OotP Ch5 pg85
Hermione's 'same kind of nonsense'
The role of Hermione's activism in the story here is to be immature, annoying, tone-deaf and not as inclusive as she would believe. The adults are talking about 'The Real Shit' - the kids are... trying.
Remus takes part in 'The Real Shit': He spies on werewolf communities in both wars, fitting in with them, gaining their trust, trying to turn them away from Voldemort. (Doesn't work. They think life will be better under Voldy... and are probably right.) He talks about the Goblins possible allegiance with depth: They aren't easily swayed, they want rights and freedoms. He considers what they want, with understanding of them.
Hermione takes part in... talking earnestly about her views: That House Elves are in a comparable situation to Werewolves. Which is... oversimplified. Factually incorrect. Insensitive.
I can't imagine Remus having any other reaction than a forced smile/grimace with a "Well... in a way, I suppose." as he tries to leave.
He knows Hermione means well - but she doesn't know what she is talking about... and he doesn't have the heart to tell her off for it. She is a 15yr old Muggleborn with a big heart. He appreciates that. But it's a complex conversation he would have to sit her down for, to carefully explain and discuss... He hasn't signed up for that.
Werewolves are disabled Wizards. People with a chronic illness. House Elves are a entirely different sentient beings with history, culture, belief systems, unique magic and place within society. It's not the 'same kind of nonsense' at all. Imagine: 15yr old walks up to your disabled ass and compares your plight to slavery
Hermione is saying she thinks of Remus as a non-Wizard, even if unintentionally... which is exactly the nature of his oppression.
She is also saying she thinks of House Elves as something like 'disabled Wizards' - which is demeaning. They are Elves.
What does Remus think...? (1800 words)
Remus is very aware of differences in oppression because he has been experiencing it since he was 5 and has spent a lot of time amongst the werewolf colonies, fitting in, learning, listening to their stories... Remus is too compassionate to think poorly of people for being sick. He has self-loathing, sure - but that's a him thing, not a werewolf thing. He goes and hangs out with a lonely werewolf in hospital, just to keep him company. He talks about feeling sympathy for Greyback. Your 'compassion' for everyone else is starting to get pretty unhealthy, Remus. You're allowed to be mad at Fenrir Greyback. No wonder Sirius thought you were the traitor. ((I don't care for the comparison of Lycanthropy to HIV. It works well enough for Remus alone, I suppose - but for the illness as a whole it's pretty shit.)) I rather think of Lycanthropy as more like Leprosy. Outcast colonies of people whose bodies physically change - and who are contagious, thus a danger to society.
That's the difficult thing about Lycanthropy: It is actually dangerous. Easily dealt with in theory: All they need are safe, secure places to go hide on the Full Moon... and the ability to work, ofc. But accepting them into your area will always run the risk of them going on a bloodthirsty rampage if they, say, have a mental breakdown or pull a Remus Lupin and are a procrastinating brat That is not a popular idea. So they are outcasts. Pariahs. Lepers.
What werewolves need is good press. Positive examples of stand-up fellows that are just like you and I, but have a furry little problem. Enough to make the common person want to make things change. Because it doesn't matter how much werewolves bark and howl: they cannot re-enter society themselves. They need healthy peoples help.
People need to start having sympathy for their stories. They need to think of them as Wizards - not as magical creatures. Then they will push for them having equal rights, facilities, research into treatments (rather than a 'cure' - treatments are far more important)
Remus knows this. I think, deep down, he wants to be this. A friendly and beloved professor, a brave and talented soldier... he kept losing steam, losing confidence... but he wanted to be the change. And he got it after his death: an Order of Merlin, First Class for his service to the war.
House Elves... are a different story. Nobody thinks 'poorly' of House Elves. They are quite liked, really - and few people actually have them. Even fewer 'abuse' them.
Wizards are complacent about the treatment of Elves. Elves are complacent about how they are treated. Because they have their own magic, their own culture, their own history - and all that needs to be respected and navigated carefully. Remus knows how horrible having ones agency ignored is. That's something Hermione struggles with: other peoples agency. Ignoring their agency is just treating them like a lesser being again. House Elves need their wants respected. If House Elves want any sort of change it needs to come from within. Otherwise it will be Wizards deciding what is best again.
This is why Sirius has a better outlook on Kreacher than Hermione. He actually respects his agency as a living being. He doesn't treat him like 'just an elf', he treats him for WHO he is: an asshole. He treats him like he would any other asshole.
More awareness of elves that want freedom, like Dobby, is good - Dobby had trouble finding work and that is a damn shame. Once again, someone else treats Elves well: Dumbledore offered Dobby good pay, weekends off and the ability to call him a "barmy old codger". Dobby rejected it, wanting one galleon a week, one day off a month... and Dumbledore respected him. They need to be brought in to discuss laws and rights for themselves. The only thing Wizards can do for them is offer a platform and listen.
I think Remus would want to work towards a world where nobody has to be chained or outcast, where everyone can work if they want to work and have a right to live regardless of who or what they are. Sirius want's this too. As do both the Dumbledores. Other members of the Order... to varying extents. They might not FIGHT for it even if they agree.
Remus has the unique wisdom and sensitivity to actually help. He would want to support Hermione's efforts - but he would make sure it is supporting House Elves, giving them a platform to speak and be heard - even if those words do not fit her ideals.
So why doesn't he...? Because there's a war on the horizon, and the exact details of House Elf laws are kinda not really important right now. Goblin allegiance? Werewolf allegiance? Immensely important. Hermione butting in to bring up House Elves because they are also magical creatures!... is cute, but severely off topic. That's the role of the kids in the book: To be eager to join in, despite not quite being 'there' yet. That eagerness gets Sirius killed.
I'd love to scour all the books for any mention Lupin makes about non-human creatures like elves, goblins, centaur... but I'm not gonna B^) I doubt there are many. Thanks for explaining the 'Uncle Tom' phrase, I've heard it before and been confused.

Hi, here's the anon from yesterday again, who asked how to make peace with my racist mom for my and my partners safety.
How did that go so far?
Tw death
So, my uncle died. I didn't know him much and a lot of family members recently died so I feel nothing about that. Some guy somewhere died. My mom is devastated, because apparently they were really close before he married (which was before I was born. I saw him maybe 5 time and talked to him zero). Apparently his wife hates my family and shielded him and his children from us. She also didn't tell us he was sick and was dying so, that's fucked up. By now nobody even knows, when he died.
So I have to be there for my mom, who lost her favorite sister (and my favorite aunt) in July and, our family is very big and very sick. I visited a lot of funerals in my life and since the surviving members are now in their 50s and 60s, I fear it'll become quickly more.
I hate to take care of my mom in that way. I don't want to talk with my abusive mom about her favorite brother, with whom she hasn't talked in 30 years. Tbh I am not even sure who of two of her brother died. I mix them up all the time, because we just have no contact.
I am usually not that harsh but I am pretty numb at my current mental state so, I am sorry. Don't think too bad of me.
I just don't know how to help her, what to say, and I just had to do this in July so, I am fine? I am not her therapist and these conversations require a relationship much better than ours! It is weird, I hate it, I don't want to, I want to lock up in my room but I have to do this...
Hi anon,
I know you said it's not very significant for you, but I am still sorry for your loss.
I think it's a hard situation in terms of consoling your abusive mother. I don't believe you should feel obligated to console her especially after what she's been putting you through, but I also understand that it's also a bit unavoidable because you don't simply want to be in your room all of the time instead. I think you could say something like "I'm sorry for your loss but I'm not comfortable talking about this right now" or something to that effect, if you feel safe to do so. It's important to set and assert boundaries, especially with abusers. I find that this resource has some more helpful tips you could take away.
If you can access and afford it, and if you don't already have it, I recommend looking into getting a therapist. I think that a mental health professional could help you process your experiences with your abusive mother, as well as developing helpful coping mechanisms to deal with her and the effects of her abuse on you. I believe that you deserve the best care available.
If anyone else has any comments or suggestions, please feel free to add on. Otherwise, I hope I could help, and please let us know if you need anything.

The Shattered Obelisk part 4 Chapter 2: Trouble in Phandalin
previous part
For this part it is important for you to go to my tags dnd maps and go to the map of Phandalin so you can understand where everybody is.
After arriving in Phandalin with Sildar in the carriage and Jesse and Gerald on Gundren and Sildar's horses respecctively Gerald looks at Sildar and says "I'll take you over to the inn if you need a place to stay I'm friends with the innkeeper" Sildar nods and says "thank you". Gerald then looks at Zoey and says "Go on ahead I'll meet you guys over near The Stonehill Inn. Mimi can show you the way." Zoey: "Alright and I'll make sure this rat doesn't take anything from there". Mimi looks away with a guilty look under her Rattata hood. Sasha is just giggling. Gerald looks at Jesse and says: "I'll deal with Gundren's horse when we meet up". Gerald and Sildar reach the Stonehill Inn and teather Sildar's horse outside.
In the center of town opposite the town green stands the infamous Stonehill Inn. A large newly built roadhouse of fieldstone and rough hewn timbers. The common room is filled with locals nursing mugs of ale or cider all of them eyeing Sildar and Gerald with curiosity. A male Sealeo hybrid rushes over to see Gerald. Sealeo: Gerald I'd never thought I'd see you back here old chum" Gerald hugs the Sealeo and says: And nice to see you to Toblen. And I brought a buddy of mine with me too. This is Sildar Hallwater. Sildar this is Toblen Stonehill." A Sandile hybrid rushes over to Gerald. Sandile: UNCLE GERALD" Gerald: Heh heh how you doing Pip?" Pip: I thought I'd never see you again." Gerald smiles even wider and says: Well here I am little guy you've gotten a little taller since last I saw you" Pip: Well I'm a growing boy." Gerald turns to Toblen and says "I'll have 2 rooms One for me and one for Sildar here. If my companions want a room they can get it themselves". Toblen: Alrighty that'll be 5 silver (For those that don't know dnd currency it pretty much goes like this 100 copper is 1 gold 10 silver is 1 gold 2 electrum is 1 gold and 1 platinum is 10 gold) for every night that you are staying here" Sildar and Gerald empty 5 silver onto the counter and Toblin points to the rooms. Gerald speaks up saying: "I already know where my room is. After I'm done here I wish to go see my Dewpider friend Thel"
Toblen has a sad expression on his seal face and pulls Gerald aside. Toblen: "About that see er Thel is.....................he's dead he was murdered a tenday ago (for those that don't know a week in dnd is 10 days not 7 days)" Gerald: What? By who?" Gerald already knows the answer to this. Toblen: Thel did something stupid. He stood up to the Redbrands when they came by his woodcutting shop and bullied his wife Mirna. The ruffians provoked a fight and murdered Thel in cold blood. Several townsfolk saw it happen. The Redbrands grabbed his body and now his wife, daughter, and son are missing." Gerald: Where can I find these Redbrands?" Toblen: You aren't seriously-" Gerald: Where are they?" Toblen: The frequent the Taphouse nearby. The Sleeping Giant." Without missing a beat Gerald walks out the front of the inn and heads over to the Sleeping Giant.
Meanwhile the rest of the group has arrived at Barthen's Provisions where they see a Drifblim hybrid sweeping outside. Drifblim: Oh is that the supplies that Gundren was talking about?? Zoey: Yes all intact and ready for Gundren to use. Drifblim: I'll go get Elmina stay here" After a minute has passed a Ampharos hybrid who Mimi recognizes as Elmina Barthen comes outside and a Yungoos hybrid who Mimi also recognizes as Ander exits behind her as well. Elmina: We'll take everything from here. Unfortunately Gundren hasn't arrived. But pay is pay" She tosses a bag full of 50 gold to Jesse and continues "that's your pay. I hope Gundren is alright." Jesse: Um about that-" The Yungoos and Drifblim begin unloading the carriage. Sasha: Gundren got captured by Goblins and we don't know where he is" Elmina looks shocked and shouts: HWAAAAAAAAAAT? Captured...........well I understand you just got here rest up then I encourage you to go search for him.......He found the entrance to Wave Echo Cave this could do so much for this town...." Sasha: Right we'll be sure to get to it as soon as we are able"
They head over to the Stonehill and hear screaming and a Meowth Hybrid (regular not Alolan) run up to them. Meowth: Please Geralds in trouble the Redbrands they tried to rob me and threatened to kill me. Gerald tried to break them up but they overpowered him PLEASE HELP HIM." Mimi looks furious but also hesistant to head over there but they all nod in agreement and rush over to The Sleeping Giant where they see a group of hybrids ,A vullaby, victreebel, Scolipede, Snom, Plusle and Carkol wearing the Redbrand logo, kicking Gerald unconscious. Mimi looks horrified and wants to do something but is hesistant she doesn't want to reveal herself to them. The Scolipede looks up and sees the group. Scolipede: Well well well. Seems we got ourselves a group of puppies with us. What do you want? Lost your tails? Come here to bark at us?" The others look up and the Plusle and Carkol tie Geralds arms behind his back and begin carrying him away. The others pull out their swords and rush at everyone. The Snom is up first amd charges at Mimi saying "well if it isn't our Rat I'm going to enjoy making you scream you little bi-" that's as far as he gets before a dagger is stabbed through his throat Sasha just opens up her cloak and fires 3 scorching rays at them setting them alight before Jesse charges and chops the head off of the Vullaby. Sasha uses Word of Radiance and kills the Scolipede. The victreebel screams and agony and succumbs to the flames.
When Gerald wakes up he finds himself with a neck chain around his neck in a cell with a Yanmega Staravia and Dragonair hybrids. He has been stripped to his undergarments. Not knowing what to do he can only pray that Arceus will have mercy on him.

This is not a poem, but I feel the need to share.
I just got home from my family reunion, specifically the 35th Clyde and Louise Williams Family Reunion held every year. It's one of my favorite times during the year. Three days camping in Grandma's two and a half acres of backyard (they've owned the land since the 1960s) Three days hanging out with family, extended, close, sassy trash talkers, loving each other, helpful, competitive, and most of all just being family. We all do different things, have made mistakes and have made different choices, have different personalities and interests, but we love each other.
Anyway, during our reunion we do plenty of crafts, bingo, a talent show, Grandma rents the town pool for two hours on Saturday, a fishing pond for kids under 18, and the two most exciting activities are the cribbage tournament (winner gets a custom made cribbage board by my uncle, who funnily enough won the board he made this year) and the raffle. Tickets are $0.25 apiece and proceeds go to paying for the reunion, mainly the food and the outhouses we rent. I spend about $40, I have some family who spend about $100. 95% of the items in the raffle are handmade. My uncle Leon does woodworking things, mainly board games or stuff with my Grandpa's brand on them, my aunt Carol makes coin purses and hand bags. Aunt Pam makes things with her cricket. Cousin Trisha prints on shirts. My Aunt Sandra and my mom usually make a quilt each (those are usually the bigger items), and many other things are put in the raffle. This is the first year I've put something in though.
Tumblr media
I painted a horse portrait, which is out of my comfort zone. Portraits are not easy for me and I haven't painted seriously in about 3 years. I'm pretty proud of myself for actually putting my painting out there to my family, even though it's not perfect, I've made progress.
My Grandma won it. It was the only item she one that she didn't ask a redraw for (sometimes adults will put tickets in and ask for a redraw or pick a kid who hasn't won anything yet). Later, she told my mom she's going to hang it up in Grandpa's room at the memory care facility.
You see, my Grandpa has had serious dementia for about 5 years now, and has been in the memory care facility for about 2 years. He doesn't remember much. He does recognize my Grandma a bit. He's excited when she's there, will hold her hand, she's the only one he'll kiss on the lips, and always wants to put his shoes on when she starts to leave (which always heartbreaking), (my uncle Tim visits him about 3-4 times a week, make sure he's doing good. Aunt Sam every few weeks. Grandma visits every other week since she can't drive anymore and everyone else goes when we're there). The staff are incredibly friendly there and it's a good place, which is lucky. But my Grandpa loves animals, particularly horses and dogs. He lights up a bit when someone gives him a picture or a card with one of those animals on it. I had talked to my mom about printing off a copy of the picture and giving it to him.
So it means the world to me, that one of the people who always encouraged my artwork, always told me to keep trying and would give me old calendars or horses or of artwork for me to practice with, who know has no idea who I am when I kiss him on the cheek, is getting a painting of a horse from me even those he has no recollection of Rachel A. Haney.
I just wanted to say that... I consider myself lucky to have the family that I do. And, for those of you who don't have the family that you deserve, that's okay. Family isn't perfect or an important thing for everyone. Sometimes you have to choose your family, and that's okay. Surrounding yourself with people who love and support you is important. My family is anything but perfect. But I know they love me, and I hope they know how much I love them.

Hidden~ Eddie Diaz x Nash! Reader
A/N: I wanted to add some action, so I moved up when Shannon decided to divorce Eddie. Eddie is too good to make him into a cheater. I'm not really good at describing intimate-type stuff either.
Lose Some, Win Some
Tumblr media
Y/N's POV
I am finally home. I'm home with my son, and the school gave me a couple of days to rest. I sat on my couch, watching the news. "Today, police suspect LAFD's 118 for robbing $300,000 worth of cash from a local bank. Police say that the LAFD was there to help the bank manager and a delivery man with a seizure or a possible nerve agent. Police also say that they found the cash inside one of their firetrucks. More information coming up, soon."
After hearing that, I remember the number on one of the firetrucks at the crash. The 118 saved me, and if they saved me, that means that Eddie and my dad are being questioned for a robbery. I haven't known Eddie long, but I know that Eddie, nor my father, would rob a bank.
Zachary walks into the room. "Mommy, I'm ready for bed," my little man says. I turn to him and say, "Ok, I'll be in there in a bit." He runs back to his room.
I hear a knock at the door. It is almost 9:30 pm. Who could be at my door? I go to the door and look through the peephole. Eddie and Christopher stand at the door with a to-go bag.
I open the door, and I say, "Eddie? Chris? what are you doing here?" "I bet you have heard about what is going on. The police have ransacked our house, and I was wondering if you could watch Chris until this blows over?" Eddie asked me desperately.
I smile at the two boys. "Sure. Chris, Zach is in his room getting ready for bed. You can go hang out with him until I get you a bed ready. His room is down the hall, the First door on the left," I tell the little boy, and then turn to Eddie.
He hands me Chris' night bag, and I joke and say, "There better not be any evidence in here." He chuckles, saying, "Nope, no evidence, just clothes, and a toothbrush."
I invite him into my apartment. He walks in and says, "Nice apartment. Is that a skylight?" He points up, at the skylight, in my living room.
Tumblr media
(Y/N's Living room /w a skylight)
"Yeah, when Levi died, I would tell Zach that his father was watching him from the stars. So, I decided that anytime we missed Levi, we would watch the stars," I said, trying not to tear up.
Eddie reaches in his pocket and pulls out a picture. "I'm guessing this is Levi?" Eddie asks, handing me the picture. I look at the picture and lose my cool. Eddie sits me on the couch and just hugs me.
This is the closest I've ever been to a man since Levi. It felt good. I felt protected. I don't need protection because I was in the navy, but this man made me feel loved.
We sat on the couch, with me crying into his shirt. "Mommy, aren't you gonna put me to bed?" "Yeah." I get up, heading into my child's room.
Eddie follows me into the room, and what he sees shocks him.
Tumblr media
(Zachary's bed)
Christopher is sitting on the bottom bunk of a firehouse bed. The whole room was dedicated to firefighters. When we got in that crash, and he met his grandfather, Zach decided that when he gets older, he would become a firefighter.
Christopher looks at his dad and says, "Dad, Zach said he wants to be like you and uncle Buck when he gets older."
Eddie continues to look around. He walks towards the cubby. Inside the cubby is some of Zach's favorite toys, some pictures of Levi and I, and some pictures of Zach and I. What really caught Eddie's eye, was the picture of Zach on my shoulders, at the El Paso Zoo.
I am tucking the boys in, when I hear, "You were in El Paso?" I look back and say, "Yeah, that was Zach's 2nd birthday. Levi was born in Austin, but he grew up in El Paso." Eddie just nods and goes back to looking around.
As I'm tucking Christopher in he says, "Dad and I are from El Paso. It would have been cool if we met before LA." I smile at the boy, before walking out and turning off the lights.
"We have a lot in common, you know?" Eddie tells me. I look at him and he looks back. "Oh, really?" I ask. Eddie and I move closer to each other. I continue to look at the man and I ask, "Like what?" "Well, for starters, we were both fought for our country." Imagining this man in a military uniform made the moment even hotter. I moved closer. "Ok, and?" "And, we both had a son at a young age."
At this point, he was towering over me. I quickly pulled the man into a kiss. He kisses back. I move my hands from my side to his chest, and he grabs my hips. He deepens the kiss as I move my hands from his chest to his neck. I feel strong hands go under my shirt.
We keep making out for a couple of minutes until I pull back. "I'm so sorry. I forgot you married," I say frantically. "She told me she wasn't ready. She filed for divorce. I also didn't feel like our relationship was working. She left us when Chris was little. I kinda like this hot teacher, who was in the Navy and has a son. Also, she knows about being a firefighter." Eddie tells me, holding my hands.
I kiss Eddie again. Eddie and I head to my room, without breaking the kiss. That night was the best night in forever. Everyone got a sleepover.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The robbery thing has been put behind us, but a new problem has arrived. My father didn't tell the LAFD everything about why he transferred, therefore leaving him suspended. He hasn't told me either, but I think it is best to let him come to me about it.
I started work again today, except I feel like I'm looking after 3 kids. My dad insisted that we hang out, you know since he wasn't there for most of my life.
I wake up at 5 am to a large banging noise. I look to see who it is, and surprise surprise, it is my father with tons of groceries. "Dad, what are you doing here. Zach is still asleep, and I don't have to be up till 7 am." I tell my dad, letting him in.
He heads to my kitchen and sits down the food. "I was thinking that I could make you and Zach breakfast, and then I could take you to work."
I gave my father a loving look. I feel bad that his past came back to haunt him, but maybe something good will come out of it. Besides, I missed the father/daughter bonding we had. Eddie told me his food is at grade A chef level, so why not let him cook for me.
"Well I love what you're doing, but I'm missing sleep. If it's fine with you, could I go back to sleep?" I ask, and receive a nod back. I walk to my room, but I turn back to check upon him. I know he's sad, but at this moment he looks happy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up at 7 am to a heavenly smell. I walk into the kitchen, after remembering my dad was making breakfast. As leave the hallway to see my son and father talking about firefighting. I smile, and my dad turns to face me.
"Ah, you're awake! I woke up Zach and got him dressed for you." my dad says taking a bite of the french toast. I go into the kitchen and make myself some food. I see french toast, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, and freshly squeezed orange juice. I look amazed as I take some of everything.
My dad works up the courage to ask me a question, "I was wondering if you wanted to stop by the firehouse, like old times. I have some people I would like you to meet." With my mouth full, I say, "Yeah, I missed those days" "Oh man, mommy is breaking a rule. She is talking with her mouth full," Zach says to the man next to him.
Dad laughs. "Well I ate, but I have to get dressed." I head to my room to get dressed.
Tumblr media
(Y/N's outfit to work)
I walk back into the living room and we get ready to head out. We make it to the school, and I say goodbye to my father. I take Zach to class. I get to the office and I see Eddie and Chris. "Hey, I was just hanging with your fire captain." "Well, can you tell him we want him back because his replacement is terrible?" I laugh.
"So, are you coming to the firehouse?" Eddie asked me like he knew my dad would ask me. I give the firefighter a suspicious look and then say, "Yeah, my dad asked me this morning. Would you like me to bring Chris?" He gives me a "yeah, sure", and then we say goodbye.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christopher and I had so much fun. We were in math, and I helped teach him fractions with mini Kit-Kats. Then, in English, we acted out storytime with his class. The day ended in science, where we build and erupted our own volcanos.
It is the end of the day, some and of the boys waited outside for my father. When he arrived, we got in and started heading towards the fire station, which was only a 5-minute drive.
We walk into the 118's fire station, and Zach went off. A scream could be heard throughout the whole building. All the firefighters and paramedics stopped to see what was going on. My dad walked up to me and said, "Just like his mother."
Eddie and another man walked down the stairs to see what was happening. I smile at the majestic man walking towards me. We go into a hug before I hear a cough.
"Eddie, aren't you gonna introduce me to the pretty lady," the man asked Eddie. I smile at the man, but Eddie and my dad roll their eyes. My dad jumps into the conversation, "Buck, this is my daughter, Y/N, and her son, Zach. Y/N, this is Buck."
Buck and I shake hands. "My name is actually Evan Buckley, but everyone calls me Buck. You are somewhat of what Eddie has told me. Your pretty, but I expected a younger Bobby, with boobs." Eddie smacks Buck's chest.
I'm laughing and I head upstairs with the others. "Mommy! Mommy! Can I go down the fire pole," Zach asks, tugging on my pant leg? I nod my head yes.
Another man and woman walk over and sit with us in the lounge. "Why is there a little boy running around? Did someone drop him off, because I think your only supposed to do that with babies, not children," the man said, sitting right next to me. "That's my son. I'm Y/N." I hold out my hand waiting for the man to shake it. "I'm Howie, but everyone calls me Chimney. This is Hen," The man says, and the woman waves.
We continue to talk until the emergency bell rings. Everyone heads downstairs, but I pull Eddie back. I give him a long kiss, with my arms around his neck and his around my waist.
I pull back and say, "I had fun the other night. Maybe, I could see if my dad could watch the boys, and you and I could maybe have dinner at my house." Eddie groans and says, "Oh, how I would love that. We could also watch a movie."
This man will be the death of me. "Yeah, but you need to go." Eddie runs off to an emergency, I head to the store with my dad, Christopher, and Zachary.
"You know, you don't have to hide Eddie from me," He tells me. I look at him shocked. "I see the way you guys look at each other, and I saw you guys kiss today," he says calmly.
"Well, since you know could you help me make a meal for him and I tonight, and can you watch the boys?" I practically beg. He nods, and then he moves towards the isles, picking out ingredients.
"I don't want to intrude, so I will give you a recipe card. But yes, I will take the boys, just use protection. I don't want to see another grandchild for a while," he says, earning a smack on the chest from me. "There are children around," I whisper.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My dad gave me a recipe for Ravioli, served with garlic bread and bacon-wrapped asparagus. I am almost finished cooking when I hear a knock.

(Y/N's Date Outfit)
I open the door to see a devastated Eddie. I go in to hug him, and Eddie says, "She's dead. Shannon died in the emergency room. That call we left for, that was for her. What am I gonna tell Christopher."
I welcome the man in, and I sit him on the couch. "Do you want to eat?" I ask, hoping that I could get him to relax and eat. "No" is all I hear, before he shoves his face into my shoulder, and lets it all out. I rub his back and say, "Everything will be fine."
We sit there, on the couch, just cuddling. I smell something burning. My eyes widen and I yell, "My bread!"
Eddie's mind comes back to earth and he heads towards the kitchen. Not only is the bread burnt, but there was also a slight fire. Eddie quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher and put out the fire.
I was so scared. Eddie saved me from a fire. At the moment, I forgot all about the food, Eddie's emotions, and everything else. I kissed Eddie out of thankfulness. We kissed for about a minute before he pulled away.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have done that, with everything going on. I was scared. I could've just stood there and let the fire grow, but no, you saved me. You are m-" Eddie cut me off with a kiss.
Eddie picked me up and took me to my room. He laid me on my bed, and next thing you know, our clothes are off.

Sarah Wilson based headcanons
I always wanted to put my headcanons somewhere. Okay, these are a mixture of Comic book lore and MCU stuff. More Sarah-based with some Sarah bucky sprinkled in. But I love everyone else's headcanons
1) Although Bucky has stated that he is ready to marry Sarah and take on the Wilson name. Sam tells him that Sarah and the kid's last name is not Wilson. Bucky is shocked cause he's been calling them the Wilson's. But one day he's in the attic and finds a wedding dress along with some wedding memorabilia where he finds out their last name is Casper's
2) Sarah is the one that keeps up with people even though it can be exhausting. She keeps up with Leila Taylor, Once a month she and Gideon's wife secretly go to Jim Wilson's Grave. They clean it and place new flowers on it. She goes to Gideon's church services and sits in the back. No one knows she does all this but Sam can see sometimes when she comes back from going out. That she has a look on her face that shows she's been thinking about what they don't talk about.
3) Sarah and Sam are just getting to know each other. The "I never knew you were sensitive" line and the argument about the bank time. This shows that their closeness is recent and they probably were closer to Gideon than to each other. Sarah does remember the years Sam was a pimp. She can laugh about it now because those days are over. But during those times she was the most scared for him. She often teases by having the kids call him uncle snap and makes a snide remark that she met someone who was in his stable at the market. The kids don't know why they call him uncle snap they just think it's a cool nickname. She was surprised that Sam dated Misty knight because she was a cop. But she wasn't too surprised when she heard they broke up.
4) Sarah has 4 kids and two of them are away at college one boy and one girl. Because I don't see why they erased Jody and I want Jody and her daughter to Damn it.
5) Elijah Bradley, Rayshaun Lucas, and other younger superheroes who work with sam and bucky call her Auntie in different languages and slang terms and her kids Cousins. Elijah teases her about the Lousiana slang and accent. She teases him about his Boston slang and accent.
6) Paul Wilson is not human and has been hiding it since he fell in love with Darlene. Darlene knew but hid it from the kids to give her family a more normal life. Paul's genes are where Sam Wilson gets his Psychic avian powers from. Sarah, Gideon, as well as their kids, have abilities as well but it hasn't been activated like Sam's has. Sometimes it does seep out and something happens. But Sarah just considers it good luck.
7) Sarah loves her kid's friend groups. When Bucky offers to take Cass and Aj to school. She explains that they like to talk with their friends a bit before heading to class. Aj's friends are pretty laid back and chill but Cass's friends are pretty intense. If you can get them to relax around you they are pretty cool. Bucky tries it when he sees one of Cass's friends wearing a Gabe Jones backpack. He tries to tell them he knew Gabe. But the kid doesn't like how Bucky just approaches them and the question "Ayo who's man is this?" is thrown out. AJ and Cass immediately deny that they know Bucky and don't know where he came from. leading to bucky getting brutally joked on by kids until he leaves feelings hurt. AJ and Cass send him an I'm sorry text but they filmed the whole thing and show it to Sarah.
8) When it's the family plays anything. Sarah and Sam will make sure to be on Bucky's team and lose the game on purpose. Bucky's upset and doesn't understand why they do this. But Sarah and Sam do it cause they want the kids to have a better sibling relationship than they had. To choose each other first and rely on each other.
9) When Sarah and Sam get into a deep conversation their accents get thicker and the slang gets thrown around so much. They are basically speaking their own language. Bucky wants in because he wants to know what they are laughing about. He tries to get one of the kids to explain some words. But they just tell him "If you can't understand it then it wasn't for you"
10) She and the kids never witnessed a superhero event at their door. Not someone coming bleeding from a fight or an alien dropping in. There was that time when AJ and Cass got taken by a villain who wanted to talk to Sam. But the kids weren't in any danger. They were basically getting catered to and getting everything they wanted. Zemo and other villains from Sam's roster often buy her kids gifts under pseudonyms. She's more confused by the gesture than anything as nothing seems to explode. Plus the kids seem to enjoy it.

ahsjdkdk pls imagine one the kids in daughter’s school confessing to her and she takes one look at them and is like “dye your hair pink, maybe then we will talk” she truly learnt from her mother to just force your spouse to be like you want them to be smh
but also, daughter proposing to sanzu with a candy ring when she is like, 5 or something. has someone else officiate the wedding with her plushies attending, a super annoyed and reluctant sanzu who only goes along w it bc mikey told him to and the rest of toman trying and failing to hold in their laughter.
oh kisaki so cries when he finds her little pink notebook, murder plans encircled with hearts and glitter. his heart swells with pride because his daughter is so smart and amazing! a menace to the world like he once was but also more attractive due to my blessed genes XD her birthday present to her dad would probably be the head of his enemy in a box or smth and id just be sighing over these insane brainless idiots. my idiots, but idiots nonetheless.
oh hanma sooo eats up the matching sweaters. he just invites himself into the house, eats all the pudding and leaves just because he can and kisaki always forgets to relocate the second key from under the plants to somewhere else. hanma and daughter would be partners in crime when it comes to annoying kisaki and that alliances has caused him many headaches. celebrations like coperate christmas simply has to be spent together between the hanma and kisaki household lmao.
also yeah i watched the latest episodes of owl house and amphibia. amphibia? cute and fun, lived domino 2’s comeback. owl house?? nobody fucking talk to me or my son ever again imma snap belos’ throat. god they really said “lets traumatise these kids even more!”. nice that the fan theories were wrong but also n o. i wanna know more about the other brother, its too damn interesting. also we need more dadrius. man was made to be a dilf and him being a parental figure to hunter gives me life. the little scene where he holds raine back from going after eda but then hears hooty talking about hunter and having to be hold back? perfection, i need more gods.
-🌌momo
ASDFGHJKL SHE BE JUST SIPPING ON HER JUICE BOX AND MID CONFESSION TELLS THE OTHER KID TO COME BACK WITH PINK HAIR MAYBE THEN SHE'LL ENTERTAIN THE IDEA- ASDFGHJKL MOMO WHAT MORALS ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILD
tiny 5'3 Sanzu, sitting on a plastic kids chair (man weighs like nothing jfc no one people think he's a kid) all done up in a tux bc Kisaki and Mikey made him do it. He can't even be high out of his mind Mikey said no that's disrespectful to the bride. And the brides his boss's seven year old daughter who wouldn't let it go. Asdfghjkl Sanzu planning each way he's gonna kill his coworkers as they sit with the assorted plushies trying to not choke on their laughter. All while Sanzu sits there straight faced getting fake married to this child that hasn't left him alone since the day they met. And Mikey just keeps stroking the fire to keep the kid from sobbing and the rest of Toman is dying laughing while poor Sanzu just accepts his fate as a childs play thing 😭😂
you have to deal with Kisaki, exacerbated and almost out of breath, running into the kitchen and skidding to a stop like it's an emergency. And when you finally get it out of him what's wrong? He's catching his breath asking if you half glitter pens and metallic sharpies and sticky notes. Because he wants to help your daughter make her murder booklet all pretty and perfect and organized. And here you were thinking your kid was choking or something. No. Her father wants art supplies to decorate her over the top burn book of how she's gonna murder her enemies and get away with it 😭😂 Momo, babe, I'm willing reproducing with Hanma and I ask, are you sure 😂😂
see Kisaki's worried about Hanma's son way too much. Where he really should be worried about is uncle Hanma who tells his little niece about her father's "dork" phase, or if he's allergic to anything, what makes him squirm and anything else the small child can weaponize against her father. And the spare key? The one Kisaki keeps putting some place else and swears Hanma is tracking them? Yeah no his daughter just tells Uncle Hanma where daddy put the new spare key and Hanma walks right in after Kisaki had the locks redone and everything. Viably making the man question his sanity and if this man really is a god damn shinigami getting into his house so easy. sorry I don't have the heart to break it to your husband that his daughter keeps ratting out the spare key
Amphibia? Adorable, quirky, lighthearted, cute and still plot driven. Owl House? Sobbing, screaming, swaddling Hunter, making him food as we speak, sharpening knives and throwing them at pictures of Belos ready for anarchy and murder.
The witch hunting this is interesting I actually didn't see that coming and I love it? Firmly standing my ground now that Belos/His brother, were originally both witch hunters but Belos was just going a little too far and his hunger for more is what got his brother killed. Idk if he did it on purpose, or it was an accident, but I'm standing firm on the idea that Hunter is a fucking zombie magic version of Belos's deceased brother and frankly idk what to do about my zombie baby. Is he just a corpse?? He's been killed that many times in ONLY fifty years?? If Belos dies does that mean Hunter doesn't exist?? Like?? Now I'm so worried is he even a living creature??? Is my baby just a cadaver of a dead sibling??? Please I need to love him what the hell did I watch??

Even though their parents have made it clear that they will not be going back to gravity falls, Mabel makes deals with Dipper to tesser them there whenever their parents aren't around. This leads to a lot of midnight visits that can last until 4 or 5 am, since Stan's sleep schedule hasn't recovered from thirty years spending most of the night in a basement and their parents usually fall asleep around 11
At one end of the hall, a door clicked shut. At the other, a door quietly glided open, and a 13-year old girl’s head peeked out.
“Okay Dippler Effect, Mom and Dad went to sleep!” Mabel hissed excitedly. “Let’s ride!”
“That’s a new one,” Dipper replied in a whisper. The idea of sneaking out in the middle of the night still gave him anxiety, even though he’d done it a million times, even though no one but Mabel could hear him, even though the concept of him getting caught and punished was long dead. “Do you even know what the Doppler Effect is?”
“Sure do! It’s that thing when, like, if someone’s standing in one place listening to you, the sound of your brother’s protests get whinier as he blips away with you to go hang out with your friends!”
Dipper snorted into his hand. “Okay, that was pretty good.” He grabbed his sister’s hand. “Ready?”
Mabel put on a serious face, gripped her Dream Boy High backpack, and nodded. “Ready!”
There was a quick jerk as the air twisted around them – flashing colors filling Mabel’s vision and an awful nausea filling her stomach – and then it stopped. Mabel’s bedroom in Piedmont was gone, replaced by the kitchen of the Mystery Shack, complete with the sounds of a romcom floating in from the TV in the other room, a few empty cans of Pitt Cola sitting on the counter, and a sleeping Grunkle Stan slumped over the table.
Dipper floated over to his Grunkle and poked him in the head. His finger, unsurprisingly, went right through. “I thought he said he’d be awake,” he said, pouting. “Should I visit him in his dream and tell him to wake up, or -”
Mabel clapped giddily – cutting her brother off – threw her backpack to the ground, and unleashed the glee that had been building up within her since they’d planned this trip a couple of days earlier. She screamed at the top of her lungs, causing Dipper to clap his hands over his ears and recoil (which resulted in him clipping halfway through the refrigerator).
Stan jolted upright in his seat. “SOOS, THE COPS ARE HERE, HIDE THE VIOLINS!” he shouted. He blinked sleepily a few times, and then his eyes settled on Mabel bouncing up and down in front of him with a face-splitting smile on her face. “Oh, it’s just you kids. Geez, you’re gonna scare me into an early pension doing that.”
Mabel jumped at her Grunkle and hugged him tight. “Well, someone said he’d be awake at 11 so we could come by right after our parents went to sleep! Did someone forget it was our -”
There was the pounding of boots on stairs, and the door burst open to reveal Ford in a lab coat with ash on his face and in his hair. “Stanley! I heard screaming, what’s going on? Did the man-eating toaster come back? You swore you’d let me be the one to kill it if it did!”
“Calm down poindexter,” Stan started, “it’s just -“
“GREAT UNCLE FORD!” Mabel screeched, peeling herself off of Stan and running over to hug him instead. “You made it! I thought you were still having an awesome boat adventure!”
Ford flinched, but then ruffled Mabel’s hair. “Of course I made it, Mabel. Wouldn’t miss it.” A tuft of his hair spontaneously caught on fire, and he patted it out. “You’ll have to excuse me, I brought some of my research home with me. I must warn you, I may be slightly radioactive right now, so… watch out for that.”
“Haha, YES!” Mabel pumped her fist. “Soon I’ll have magic glitter dandruff!”
“Ask him about the boat trip, ask him about the boat trip!” Dipper whispered in Mabel’s ear. She waved him off.
“So nice of you to show up,” Stan said, getting up and punching his brother on the shoulder. “Did you finish cleaning all of your science crap out of the parlor?”
“Yes, yes, of course,” Ford countered, and then paused. “Mostly. Almost. There’s too many people in there right now anyway. But hold on – I only see Mabel. Where’s my former apprentice?”
“MABEL HE’S TALKING ABOUT ME,” Dipper hissed. “Tell him I want to know about his trip and the sea monsters and the cursed gold doubloons he’s hiding from Stan and -”
“Dipper’s right here!” Mabel chirped. “He’s just invisible right now! Speaking of, Grunkle Stan, did you get a sacrifice for him?”
“You know I did, sweetie.” Stan picked up his eight-ball cane and gestured down the hall. “But today’s an important day. He’s not getting none of that rodent’s blood hootenanny we usually get him. We got something special.”
Mabel started hopping up and down so violently that the walls shook and everyone had to cover their ears. “What does that mean!!!!!!!!”
Stan hoisted Mabel up onto his shoulders. “How about you come and look for yourself before you blow the whole house down?”
Mabel cackled. “Onwards, Stan-oshima!”
Dipper eyed his sister jealously, and then floated over to Ford and pretended to sit on his shoulders. He and Mabel stuck their tongues out at each other playfully, forgetting to pay attention to where they were being carried, until -
“SURPRISE!”
Dipper and Mabel both flinched at the chorus of voices, and Mabel almost toppled off of Stan’s shoulders. It was a moment before they could take in the sight in front of them, but by then, Stan had placed Mabel on the floor and people were already coming up to her and hugging her.
“Dude, so good to see you!” Wendy said. “Where’s your bro at?”
Soos pushed up next to Wendy. “Mabel! You made it! Is Dipper here too?”
“Hey, it’s my turn to talk to her,” Pacifica drawled. “You’re lucky I’m even here – my parents would never allow it. Good thing they’re in Venice right now. Why can’t I see Dipper?”
Mabel screamed in joy again. “I can’t believe it, all of our friends are here! Wendy and Soos and Pacifica and Candy and Grenda and Robbie and Thompson and that weird guy who likes America! You all made it! And bro-bro’s right here,” she added, grabbing her incorporeal brother and squeezing him close. “We just haven’t summoned him yet!”
“Sixer. That’s our cue,” Stan said from behind them.
Dipper and Mabel turned around to see Stan and Ford each holding a cake with the number “14″ written in the center. Stan placed his cake on the table, while Ford carried his over to an empty space of the floor where a summoning circle had been drawn out. He placed the cake in the middle, and pulled out a vial of blue liquid from his lab coat. He uncorked it, dropped the liquid into the circle, and then paused.
“Uhh, remind me what the incantation is?” he asked.
“It’s stella splendidum, te invoco -” Dipper started.
Mabel cut him off by grabbing his sides, effortlessly lifting him up, and throwing him at the circle. He squealed in surprise, his little wings flapping frantically as he toppled through the air. He came to a stop a few feet above the circle, at which point Mabel shouted, “COME ON OUT, DIPDOPS!”
Another yelp, and Dipper was yanked out of the Mindscape and into the real world. The cake they sacrificed to him disappeared, replaced by a very nervous looking demon. Even though Dipper trusted his friends in Gravity Falls to be more supportive than his parents, it had been a long time since he’d seen some of these people, and, well, things sure had changed even since the Transcendence. He felt every eye in the room fall on him, examining his fancy attire, his sharp teeth, his pointed ears and gold-on-black eyes.
And then they began to cheer.
“Good to see you little man!” Old Man McGucket yodeled.
The Multibear growled softly. “Such a lovely gathering now that you’re here.”
“The Mystery Twins are back!” Candy joined in.
An incredible sense of relief washed over Dipper. Mabel pushed her way through her friends and pulled him into a tight hug again.
“Can you believe it, bro-bro?” she said, giggling as the rest of the crowd rushed in to join her. “Everyone made it!”
“Yeah, this is incredible!” Dipper wiped a golden tear away from his eye. “Everyone’s still here. Everything’s still okay.”
“Hope you like it, kiddos,” Stan said, ruffling his hair just as Ford did Mabel’s. “Happy birthday.”
The twins grinned. The remaining cake was passed through the crowd until it was resting in front of them.
“Don’t forget to make a wish!” Grenda shouted.
Dipper laughed. “I don’t know about you, Mabes, but I’ve already got my wish.”
“Me too, bro-bro,” Mabel replied. “Although I wouldn’t say no to backstage passes to the Boyz 4 Now concert, or maybe a jetpack, or…”
“Just blow out the candles, dummy,” he retorted.
The crowd of their friends and family started chanting “Blow! Out! The candles! Blow! Out! The candles!” The birthday twins nodded and grabbed each other’s hands. They both drew in a large breath. They blew as hard as they could.
Applause rippled through the room, and Mabel and Dipper were happy.
At 5am, there was a soft blip, and two teenagers appeared in a bedroom in Piedmont, California. A newly 14-year old girl’s head peeked out the door, looked toward the other end of the hall, and then pulled back into the room.
“Looks like we got away with it, bro-bro!” Mabel whispered. “That was the best sneak out to Gravity Falls to date!”
“It sure was,” he replied, and a warbling note of gratitude filled his voice. “It sure was.”

i can't do this without him | tony stark x daughter!reader and peter parker x stark!reader
summary: it won't be easy for you to move on from your father's death but thankfully you don't have to do it on your own
warnings: minor mention of a suicidal thought / mentions of character death
a/n: this is the one shot i'm most proud of and it really was my way of copping with tony's death. it's been two months since the movie was released but i didn't feel ready to post this yet, i think i am now.
masterlist
Tumblr media
You had just gotten your dad back and now you had lost him again, this time forever. You were sitting in the couch about to watch what you had been told to be a message from him. Peter's arm rested securely around your waist, he had been your biggest support in this incredibly hard time and you couldn't be more grateful to have him by your side, but you were sure you would have to eventually leave his protective embrace at a certain point not to disturb the ceremony with your recked sobs. People were gathering around in the living room waiting for the recording to begin and so when everyone was settled in Rhodey asked friday to play the message.
Your dad came up in a hologram and tears started to well up in your eyes right away, he started talking about the past years, about how he wished you were playing the video in celebration and how much the universe he had imagined just a decade ago truly had grown. Once that part of the video was over he stopped for a few seconds only to start again with a sadder tone that made your heart break all over again if that was even possible.
"Y/n, honey, in case i'm not there to tell you this personally, you mean everything to me. I'm so proud of the strong beautiful woman you have become and i want you to know that there hasn't been one single day in these past five years where i haven't thought about you and tried everything in my power to bring you back. I just hope i succeeded this time around. And if i did then i need you to know that there's something for you in your new bedroom, somewhere only we know. You should only read it when you feel ready so please don't rush yourself, I know you've probably got a lot on your mind right now. I love you more than anything sweetheart, and i can't wait to see you again."
You were sobbing by now, you missed your father more than anything and you were just so mad! You barely got to be with him again until he sacrificed himself to save you along with everyone else. And nat. She was like an aunt to you. You hadn't seen her in so many fucking years and now she was gone too and you didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. It wasn't fair!
After Tony's hologram said his goodbyes you took off to your room, wanting only to find your dad's "surprise".
Peter was wondering what he should do. If he should keep you company through the whole ceremony or if he should give you some space. He ended up deciding on the later but you were taking so long in your room and he was getting worried so he eventually decided to go check on you. When he arrived his heart broke. You were on your knees holding something in your hands, staring at it while tears streamed down your face.
"Did you find it, love?" he asked you softly not meaning to scare you.
"It's a book. He filled it with photos of us, his favorite quotes and songs he loved, letters he wrote when he missed me most while we were gone those 5 years and so many other things, Peter. He- he really hoped that he would get to hand me the book himself, that he would get to show me my new room he organized so carefully and explain where each little thing is placed, that we would get to have long summer picnics together by the lake, that we would be a whole family again." You muttered through tears.
"I'm so sorry, sweetheart."
"I shouldn't have opened it" you told him. "I shouldn't have opened it cause reading this means that it's over. It means that he's gone for good, that i've lost him forever, and i don't wanna live in a world without him Peter. I can't." you were full on crying now.
"Y/n, love, he is gone and he isn't coming back, sweetheart. You know that."
"No, he can't leave me, Peter, I can't do this without him. I lost everything and he's not here to help me adjust. And how am i supposed to live in this place now? One i have no memories of my father in? Peter i don't know this room, i don't know this house! God i don't even know the little girl downstairs that keeps asking me why i'm so fucking sad!" you hadn't realized how hard you were sobbing until now just like you hadn't noticed Peter had taken a seat next to you and was now holding you in his arms. You were shaking so violently and it was getting so hard to breathe and you could only hope that you would die right there and finally be with your dad again.
"Shhh baby, it's okay, you're gonna be okay." Peter shushed you while stroking your hair.
"I miss him so much" you muttered, a fresh round of tears streaming down your face again.
"I know, love, I do too" His voice breaks, but he knows he has to be strong for you so he fights back his own tears the best he can. "But he wouldn't want you to be sad forever. He would want you to live your life for him, to be okay, to be happy. And i promise you'll feel that way again okay pretty girl?"
You two stayed that way for a good amount of time but you eventually got up and went downstairs to finish the ceremony. After the funeral, Happy came to sit by your side, he was like an uncle to you so you took no time into resting your head on his shoulder. He looked down to see you leaning on him, you looked like your 7 year old self again, cuddled up next to him wondering why your dad wasn't home just like you had done when Tony was kidnapped back in 2008.
"You hungry?" he asked softly and you nodded. You hadn't really eaten anything in the last few days (or in the past five years for that matter). "What do you wannna eat, honey?"
A sniffle left your body as you answered sadly. "A cheeseburger".
"I'm going to get you all the cheeseburgers you want."

@starseedjenny you have observed my tags and for this you get an infodump
So Dylan (my husband) took levels in carpentry. He's no master carpenter but he can make furniture. His absolute favorite thing to do is to get gnarly tree roots or branches and carve them into odd length walking sticks and then sell them at the local wood shop. It's easier to use a stick instead of a cane (my back hurts a LOT from using my cane but never with a stick) and different people are different heights. Plus, something people don't think about is there are incredibly short people or even children. So why not have something beautiful and sturdy?
What he does is he carefully exposes what it is about the piece of wood that is unique. Are the different bark layers different colors? He'll strip the bark carefully to have a gradient flowing up the stick until the heart of the wood, its true color as it were, is exposed. Did it have a lot of branches? Find a way to show off the cool knots. Basically, he works with what he has to let the thing speak for itself. Less actual carving like swirls or whatever and more revealing what it is that makes that stick special. Takes less technical carving skill but a good eye for natural beauty. My uncle carved my grandmother her cane before he passed and while it's a beautiful piece, it is definitely carved if that makes sense
Anyway, as you know I love arting and crafting and making pretty things with my hands. Because of church, I know how to embroider, quilt, scrapbook, make pretty much anything you could ever want from cloth from actual clothes to scripture holders, and all the usual home stuff afab people get taught in YWs. I know how to knit (with a loom), make paper art, draw traditionally, paint traditionally (and know how to stretch my own canvas), create beautiful digital art, create rough architecture blueprints that are less rough with minecraft now, stain wood, cook, make rugs, and basically if there is a craft out there I don't know, I learn very quickly as I'm great with my hands and my hand-eye coordination is fantastic. Thank you 15 years of piano lessons
Dylan, knowing this, encouraged me to take up wood burning. Painting is difficult as I don't have an easel and unless I find a comfy recliner or wheelchair stat, I can't feasibly paint anytime soon. Due to disability (and lack of materials) there are a great number of hobbies I can no longer engage in as there I'd nothing but pain and frustration. I was a little intimidated, I'll admit, because I had no idea what a wood burning tool looked like and how would I work it anyway? From my time around big saws and other wood working machinery, I wondered if it would be something unwieldy and dangerous
Plus, let's be honest. I have a very hard time justifying spending money on myself if it's more than $5 at a time
He'd been goading me into it since November. He'd basically finished up my stick except for staining and he knew I'd want to burn it. But I hemmed and hawed. Finally, we had a pretty decent paycheck with loads of money leftover and he talked me into it. Even got that nice flat piece to get me started before taking the tips to my stick
It has been a genuine blast and a complete delight. It's like a very hot, very fat pencil and he saw right away I was going to need gloves or I'd burn myself and have loads of scars all over my fingers and hands. I'm glad he did because it hasn't been a day and already my gloves have marks on them. He got real expensive deerskin so they'd be able to move with my fingers and give me more mobility than anything else. They were expensive too and wouldn't hear any complaints I had about money. He wasn't going to have me melting my flesh or unable to do delicate work like I like
What I've been doing is outlining the thin layers of bark he left. He noticed that while the outermost layers were ugly, the innermost were interesting. You can see the grain in a way you can't with the lighter wood and you have a cool looking shade that's a nice contrast to that lighter heart. I've been going over them with the round tip (really good for drawing and writing as it's super smooth) and doing those hair thin lines with the point tip. It feels very similar to drawing a fantasy map all over my stick
I'm about 1/3 of the way up my stick though definitely not 1/3 of the way finished. I lose hours at a time bent over and carefully burning. I found out I can take the tips off hot and put them in a ceramic dish to minimize cool off and maximize time spent working. Which is critical for me as I can't spend more than about three hours tops bent over burning
It's so fun because it's like line art but it's on a piece of wood so it feels like I'm doing something new. It's very methodical and cathartic and I lose so much time focusing on doing this. It keeps me calm and downright happy! Which is EXCELLENT because it means I'm combatting seasonal depression in a very big way. I've already agreed to do this with all of his pieces to enhance what he's already carved. Eventually I'll probably Do Things like Actual Wood Art but for now I'm happy with this
We already have some projects planned too by the way!!! He loves making furniture and he can build better stuff for cheaper than buying it from a furniture store. So he's going to build a lift top coffee table and a dresser for sure that I'll burn. The first piece I want us to do, I'll burn the wood BEFORE he cuts it and see how that turns out. It'll be a little box (probably to hold bunny stuff) but I want to see if that does something unique or if it just is bad. If it's not something we like, hey I didn't waste weeks or months on something huge that ended up looking bad
We're probably going to make all the tables and dressers that go in our home. Maybe an entertainment center. I know we'll make my sister stuff just on the condition she pays for materials and getting it into her place. We'll probably make stuff for people who want it and I KNOW he's willing to take commissions. Closest family (parents, my sister, etc) will only have to pay for materials/shipping. Friends and other family will probably pay that and a little extra because friends and family discount. Everyone else is gonna have to pay retail value on top of materials and shipping because they'd get a unique piece you can't find anywhere else and it'd be worth it y'know?
But that's like way off sometime eventually probably
For now, I LOVE this new hobby. I can't wait to see what my stick is going to look like finished! I'm going to burn "support" on the bottom in kanji before the no slip grip goes on. Not really for any particular reason so much as like. Sentimental? I guess? Kind of like I'm burning a prayer for it to be sturdy and useful and good into it. I tried carving my wife's kanji on it (the first kanji of his middle name means dragon) but it didn't work out well so I'm gonna burn it onto the top and that'll be its name. Again, sentiment. There is also power in naming things and like. Just in case?
It has been such a very long time since I've been able to make something with my hands that I had the materials for and I'm just absolutely pink over it. I really super want people to see this stick and want some useful beauty for themselves that I can give. I love giving and making and seeing people smile over stuff I've made. It's been such a long time since something I've done has made someone smile and I just really want to bring that back y'know?
Anyway thank you for letting me gush. I just super love this and like yeah it's the butchest hobby like ever (according to Phoebe who has the most femme hobby ever of macrame) but it really fits me. It sparks joy in a way I haven't felt in a very very long time and I can't wait to see all the things I can do

Did you know that cats can and will eat bread? I did. We had to buy a breadbox.
Oh yeah hey guys did you know I like Touhou Project like a lot haha anyways that brings us to the next section-
II. New Characters (of which there are a LOT this time around-)
Primary Characters
Aisho Tsuku: A student at Izumi-ku who essentially is the student council's secretary. A bit of an over-achiever, but has a pretty relaxed attitude despite that. She's currently possesed by 3 animal spirits, named Okami, Washi and Kawauso (who's names should be self explanitory). Good friends with Okoto and Chikaru since elementary school, and lives with her single dad who loves her more than anything in the world. Hasn't had a good nights sleep in a long while.
Okoto Pōtaru: A student at Izumi-ku who's a bit of a smartass (read: he does a little trolling). He often speaks in an over-exaggerated manner, and playfully uses sarcasm alongside that. He's a bit of a pretty boy. Very good at planning and strategy, and enjoys things like board games and puzzles. Has been friends with Aisho and Chikaru since elementary school. Lives with his adoptive mother (who he is INCREDIBLY embarrassed by) as well as his personal assistants Soto and Mitara. He can seemingly appear behind you without a moment's notice.
Chikaru Ichiba: A student at Izumi-ku who is always trying to get the student council to hold festivals. They're incredibly energetic and charismatic. Enjoys what they call, 'The art of the Exchange' which is literally just someone buying something or two people trading things. Lives with their parents in a small apartment above the thrift store they run, and often helps out working there. They have a large collection of cards that seemingly have various effects, though according to them they can only have 5 'equipped' at once. We do not talk about the Card Incident of 1996.
Scarlett Vermillion: Ok she's TECHNICALLY not new but. She was killed off earlier when I decided to axe some characters so we'll count her coming back as her being new since I didn't do jack shit with her anyways- A student at Izumi-ku who offers 'Fate Readings' every day at lunch - for a price, of course. She's full of her self, and has that rich kid vibe but still has a good amount of charisma about her despite this. She only drinks from wine glasses, and always uses and umbrella when outside. Lives in a mansion that seemingly just appeared one day with her sister and other family(?)(who will not be on this recap since i haven't redesigned/reintroduced them yet). Supposedly can actually tell someone's fate, but prefers to give half-truths because it's 'more fun'. Has a weird rivalry with the shrine maiden of the Inori Shrine (which is just down the street from her residence).
Mizusuki Hakahana: A mysterious woman who can often be found either hanging around a local bar challenging people to drinking contests or arm wrestling (which she always wins in), or just generally enjoying herself partying and whatnot. Despite literally being an Oni, she's never harmed a human intentionally. She just thinks they're neat. :] Friends with Jim and Teina (who works at the bar her father owns, a fact I keep forgetting to mention-), and will often help them out if they ask. Always wears a hat around humans to hide her horns, though she cannot hide her 8 ft 1 stature and buff physique. Eh, it's Morioh, people probably don't even bat an eye. Lives in an abandoned building near the Inori Shrine, and often attends festivals held there (much to Rei's dismay). Helps out the the annual Setsuban festival to make up for it.
Michaiso Maneki: A student at Izumi-ku who has never once been on time to school. She wears a cat-ear headband alongside her hair ribbon for some reason. Has a wonderful and supportive boyfriend who she loves very much. Only ever uses money to pay to wash her clothes at the laundromat, and to buy toast for breakfast. Dumpster-diving pro, it's how she gets every other meal. Happily homeless and unemployed.
Side Characters
Rei Inori: The shrine maiden of the Inori Shrine, and Shin and Yoku's mom. A pro exorcist and yokai exterminator (read: she just beats them up until they stop misbehaving) with a mastery of hamon. She hates the fact that yokai often come to her shrine for festivals and parties, and hates even more that she can't do anything about it out of fear of losing actual patrons of the shrine. Very serious.
Mars Inori: A magician, and Shin and Yoku's dad. He often joins Rei in her yokai exterminating exploits, though for him it's just for the fun of it. Incredibly adept at controlling heat energy and fire. Much more relaxed and mischievous than his better half. A terrible influence, and partially the reason Yoku is they way she is (though not the FULL reason, mainly just the arson).
Yuriko Baria: Otoko's adoptive mother, and a member of the Izumi-ku PTA with a fairly high standing. She insists that she's only 40, something that is always met with her son calling her old and in her own words, "bullying her." Has a weird friendship with Rei (who is her neighbor), and by weird I mean Rei hates her, Rei kinda is friends with her, and Rei hates that she's kinda friends with her. She is seemingly able to appear anywhere in an instant, and make objects appear from thin air. Has a pet cat and fox, which she spoils. They're probably normal.
Soto Bakudan: One of Okoto's personal assistants. He's essentially a butler, but like cooler. Gets along very well with Mitara. Upbeat and loyal, but a little forgetful and stupid. Great at dancing.
Mitara Seikatsu: The other of Otoko's personal assistants. She's basically a maid, but cooler. Gets along very well with Soto. Upbeat and loyal, but can sometimes be a bit mean while playfully teasing others. Great at dancing.
III. Plots
The Kaiji/Kyō and Yukikara plots are still ongoing, but haven't really had anything happen.
To Catch a Serial Killer
Laurence did some more investigating, and proceeded to find no new information
Mae then proceeded to die a whopping 22 more times. This is not a Girlboss Moment.
Laurence decided that accessing a police database was his best course of action, did that, and the proceeded to make his way to the Murder Man's house.
Laurence is now also trapped in the basement.
Apparently Mae recognized the Murder Man, so that's neat.
Mae and Laurence had a fun character building moment over a game of poker.
Shortly after, Mae developed a plan to get them out of there based on a theory that there were drugs in their food that was disabling their stands.
That theory was true, seeing as 4 days later her stand finally came back. The time to put the plan into action was NOW.
Daito finally found the lead he was looking for, in the form of realizing that Laurence may have accessed the address databases. He's making his way to the address he found, and the final confrontation is nigh.
And that's it for the summary! (I hope)
sorry it's late i'll try to remember next week-

August 8, 2021 - House Renovation
Tumblr media
I just realized it has been more than a week since I started this journal. 5 days already passed since my last entry. Haha! I've been busy these days and I think that helped me somehow. I have a new project here in the house. It's not yet done but we're getting there.
I hope I remind myself always that I should stop renovating this house as I am not sure if this will be mine or if ever I'll get evicted in the future. But I like seeing our old level up even on the smallest things.
This house used to be our social status back in the days because it's big. However, as time passes by, it was never renovated. So it looks old and not that clean now. Since it's also a big house, the maintenance is not easy. This was last renovated by my Mom so I am really pissed to an Uncle who wants this land for him and his family. When in fact, they don't have any contribution on this and they have the audacity to think of that.
I am somehow mature enough. But still, I am not sure how and when I can stand for this house. May God give me more knowledge and courage as I don't want to give this up as the family's house.
It took us a while again for the little renovation to start because Mama P and Tito Paul has a lot to say. But in the end, of course, it's still my decision. I know what I want are expensive and not practical. I noticed that it is a personality of mine I developed as an only child. I think I'm high maintenance. Haha! But in a good way maybe? I just want the best and hindi yung basta na lang.
Mama P is still on Tito Celso's side but she kinda like what I am doing. Although I know, I can't be her favorite. Sad reality! I won't get high hopes for that.
I am again in debt right now and I hope I'll cope up with this as soon as possible. I just didn't realize that this project will exceed the budget. But I know God will provide.
There are still a lot of projects to be done in this house. I'm not sure if I'll still go for it. Maybe? Hirap maging adult.
I hope you like my new project, Mommy and Mama Tin!
There are still a lot of cleaning to be done. A lot of stuff to go to waste! It's hard when Mama P and Tito Paul are hoarders! They still want to keep things even though there's no use for it. That's why we have a lot of stuff here at home. Maybe one of these days, I'll start to clean again when the renovation is done.
I was able to finish a kdrama series yesterday and I am so happy to be back. I want to write a review but I am damn tired today. Hopefully, I can write again tomorrow.
I have less work lately because we still don't have new arrivals and the items we have now is not doing very well. I am stressed with the customer service emails but yeah, it's part of my work.
Dad keeps bugging me. He called me a lot of times already but he still can't get it. I'm tired and don't want to talk. Is that hard to understand? It pisses me off to be honest! I guess that's what happens when a girl grew up without her father. She can be this independent.
My mood swings are still extreme these days and I get annoyed easily. I get really vocal on my feelings now unlike before. I wish I was this back in college!
Lilac grew up pretty fast! I bathed her yesterday and she's still afraid of it. Haha! There are times she's moody just like me! Probably because she hasn't got any walks lately. My knees gave up again like the usual two or three days ago. And I slipped while cleaning the fish tanks. I had to recover for a day. Good thing I am okay now!
It was only yesterday when the sun showed up for the whole day and it was warm until today. I am already missing the cold weather! Haha.
Our cctv camera is now up! Another accomplishment. I really made a budget for this one. A week ago, there was a car who wanted to get in as per the tenant at the store. Maybe he misheard it but I don't know. It's better to be sure for our security! Especially that sometimes we leave Mama P alone. Jopet is just in his room the whole day!
I'm tired right now but I was able to write this long. Haha! What an achievement! Looking forward for this week. Hoping for brighter days.

I know I'm late again, but I need to talk about episodes 4 and 5... Oh my god...
I honestly don't have that much to say on 4, except for the whole Elrond swearing an oath to Durin thing. Need I explain how wrong this is for Elrond's character?! The Oath of Fëanor messed Elrond (and pretty much everyone he cares about) up so badly in the First Age. Elrond is explicitly very against oaths in LotR, and I'm sure in the second age when all those memories are fresher he would be even more against oaths. Also, swearing any oath in general is a big deal in ME, and should usually be avoided since you can't break an oath without horrible consequences.
Adding to the oath situation, in ep 5, Celebrimbor acts like Elrond's oath is totally not a big deal. So does Gil-galad (we'll get to him). They're both like, "just reconsider or forego it" and it's just ... that's not possible guys, that's not how oaths work. Celebrimbor even has some line where he says that oaths can be a good thing, and I'm just thinking... which doomed family do you come from Celebrimbor? Why are your father, grandfather, and all your uncles dead? Oh that's right, because of an oath! The whole inclusion of the oath is stupid, unnecessary, and completely ignores major aspects of these characters.
Now for the mithril thing... oh my god. I could honestly make a whole post on this, and I still might, but I'll summarize here. Nothing about the mithril storyline is canon or even makes sense in the context of the story.
For starters, the dwarves did not first discover mithril in the Misty Mountains. Mithril exists in Valinor and probably Beleriand, as there are first age objects made of mithril, like portions of Ëarendil's ship (which I can never remember the name of, but that's not important rn). Mithril was found in Khazad-dum in large quantity, it made the dwarves very rich and it's part of the reason Celebrimbor built Eregion where he did. But in this show, they're making us believe that Durin was the first person in history to find mithril, when as I said above is not true. The elves (or I guess just Elrond, it's confusing as to who all knows about this) are amazed by it and act like it's the most amazing mysterious thing ever. Which is just wrong, as mentioned, there are objects made of mithril from a long time ago, so at the very least Celebrimbor (bing both a smith and from Valinor) would be familiar with it. I don't think this would bother me as much, if they weren't trying to make it a plot point.
Now onto the story about mithril... I honestly have no words. A lost Silmaril?? What do you mean a lost Silmaril??? Don't we know where all three Silmarils are, yes two of them were "lost", but in the sense that no one has them in their possession. We know where they all are, even if they're not accessable. And Gil-galad, Elrond, ans Celebrimbor of all people would know this. Mithril doesn't contain the light of a Silmaril, I really hope this stays a legend and doesn't actually become part of the story, but I doubt that.
And the whole situation about getting enough mithril to stop the elves from fading ... again I don't even really know what to say. That's just, not how this works. I get that they're trying to set up Celebrimbor making the rings of power, but this is a really weird way to go about it. Also, why is Gil-galad suddenly such a dick?? He's awful. He's horrible to Elrond and Galadriel and the dwarves. I really dislike this characterization of him
Okay, I'm going to do some quick thoughts and complaints next because this is getting long-
- Arondir shouldn't be speaking Quenya, he's a silvan elf, they have a different language. Also Quenya was illegal so no one speaks it anymore
- Galadriel trying to force Míriel to send people to fight a threat that she hasn't even seen in person. I cannot believe how stupid this is. Galadriel took a piece of paper, and then got a vague second hand account, and decided to force all of Numenor to fight with her. She has little to no evidence that Sauron is in the south, but she's going to manipulate Míriel into marching to war (hey, maybe Galadriel is actually Sauron)
- Elendil and Isildur are perfectly fine, I actually quite like Elendil. The daughter is kind of annoying and I think it's weird that Anárion is dead, but it all works just fine.
- I'm happy to see more of Pharazon's manipulation in these episodes, even though I still hate that he is not the king at this point. I also really don't like how he has a son. I talked about this in a previous post, but it just makes Pharazon's character arc not to work as well.
- the Meteor Man makes me really uncomfortable and I don't like him at all. I still think he's Sauron though. Or Sauron will be a character we haven't previously seen
- Celebrimbor talking all about knowing Ëarendil feels really wrong to me. Did he live at the Havens of Sirion?? It's possible I guess, if you go with the version that he lives in Gondolin for a time (which I don't for various reasons), but I still don't feel like he would live in Sirion. I don't think the survivors of Doriath would welcome a Fëanorian, so my thought is after Nargothrond fell he either went back to live in Fëanorian land or he went to the Falas. But my thoughts on the matter aside, the way he talks about Ëarendil to Elrond is so manipulative. I don't know why, I just really don't like that
- also he calls Ëarendil a mortal man... just, no. He's half elven, and he chose immortality
- Gil-galad pronounced "Peredhel" wrong
okay, I did it. I watched episode one. It's bad, it's so so bad. I have so much to say. But I'm going to wait until I've seen episode two to fully rant about this.

It understandable that people would make that assumption based off the ending. But you're kind of missing a lot of canon stuff in doing so.
Henry clearly says that he'd been away from Linda while he was working at the studio. That the work, and Joey's insane drive to build an empire around his cartoons, is what kept him away from her. And we know he hasn't worked there in over thirty years.
Thirty years.
This is established from the very beginning of the game in Joey's letter;
Thirty years really slips away, doesn't it?
If the voice at the end is supposed to be Henry's daughter, as well as Linda, it simply doesn't make sense. The time frame just doesn't fit if she is indeed both. The voice is clearly a little girl and Henry's child as she refers to Joey as her uncle.
If she is both there are two possible timelines, or theories if you will, for her birth but neither make sense in the canon of the game.
1. Henry and his wife have thier child before he quits working at the studio.
2. Henry and his wife have thier after he quits working at the studio.
As previously stated neither of these make sense within the canon of the game. Let's explore the first possible timeframe first.
Henry and wife have thier daughter while he still works at the studio. Given the amount of time and subsequent overtime Henry dedicated to the studio and making cartoons this would mean he most likely missed the majority of his daughter's life. We know that Henry has spent "so much time" at his desk and that he deeply regrets this. He would've most likely missed her birth as well.
Now it is a possibility that this is what caused Henry to quit.
But then why we he express still missing his daughter? Why would he refer to her as if he hasn't seen her in a long time?
Depending on whether you believe in the theory that Henry is stuck in a time loop affects those answers.
But all of that glosses over the biggest plot point of the game and its canon timeline.
Henry hasn't worked at the studio in over thirty years. We don't know Henry's exact age but we do know that he is an old man now and so is Joey. This wouldn't explain why he regrets working at the studio and missing Linda all that time since she only exists AFTER he leaves the studio.
And it doesn't explain why he still misses her now or why she has the voice and mannerisms of a child.
The second theory gets debunked all the same. The timeframe of the game just doesn't allow for Linda to be a young kid if she is indeed Henry's kid. She'd have to be in her late teens or early twenties to fit this theory. Thirty years is a long time and since Henry had already lost so much of his life to the studio he probably spent the majority of that time with his wife.
He wouldn't have missed out on Linda's childhood and seeing her grow up if this was the case. He would've been there. There would be no reason for Henry to talk about missing Linda while he was working at the studio because he would have been there for her.
Henry mentioned Linda in a few recordings all of which point more towards her being his wife than being his daughter. The first one hidden in Chapter 3 was recorded shortly after the studio opened;
I haven't seen Linda in days now.
This audio proves that Henry had to had known Linda prior to working at the studio. Being Henry's wife it makes sense that they have known each other for a long time and that he's upset that his work is taking time away from him that he could spending with her. If Linda is also his kid and was at best a newborn at this time it makes sense that he would be upset at being unable to see her, but, she would well into adulthood at the start of the game.
But let's take a second to look at the other message Henry recorded at some point in Chapter 5.
This may be my last chance to record a message, I'm pretty sure he saw me talking into this thing, He probably won't let me keep it. Not much left to say except...Linda, I miss you and I love you so much. Coming back to this old place well...it kind of reminds me of how much I've gained. I feel like there's so many questions that need answering, so many things that don't make any sense. If anyone hears this, if you make it out, don't ever return, because the Ink Demon will find you.
Now, this is especially telling as to who Linda is.
Henry says that this is his last chance to record a message. So it makes sense that he's warning any others who might've find thier way to the old studio. Or anyone who finds a way in.
But he says that being back in the studio reminds him of what he's gained in his life after leaving. Right after he says that he misses Linda and he loves her. Meaning that Linda something he has gained after leaving the studio. But we know that he had Linda in his life prior to working at the studio. And that he's spent a lot of time away from her.
A common trope in media is for survivors of harsh experiences to leave messages to loved ones. People do it in zombie apocalypse stories, serial killer scenarios, ghost haunting/possession cases, war stories, etc. etc. And more often than not those messages are left to a significant other; not a child. If a child is mentioned it's referred to as a hope for a new beginning or told to protect the other family members or something similar. But the people mentioned solely by themselves and not in reference to someone else are always significant others.
So if Linda is Henry's kid it simply doesn't make for him to mention her by name alone and with no other message.
The bit of context that's given with Linda's name is that he misses her and that he's realized how much he's gained in life. That could simply mean the time spent with her. Or it could also refer to the family they've made. It offers no concrete evidence that Linda is his child.
Now, if Henry had said Linda if you're listening to this I want you to avoid this place, or something along those lines, then that would be a more of a message to a child than a significant other. That would be concrete evidence.
And the voice at the end, calling Joey "Uncle", doesn't give any evidence that the child's voice belongs to Linda.
Everyone keeps saying Linda is Henry’s wife but I thought the ending made it pretty clear she was his daughter?? Since Henry and Joey were best friends, it makes sense she’d call him “Uncle Joey”.
