His husky voice lingers in the air, oh how I loved the sound of his voice, we have been together for a few years now, and somehow hearing him, looking at him, never got old. His green eyes caught mine, helding it captive, because I mean who wouldn't drown in those emerald green orbs, mouthing with his plum lips across the table, "I love you" as Sam discussed the plan with us. Mouthing back "I love you too Dean". Looking at each other as if we were the only people in the room.
"Really you two?" Sam looked at the two of them, "we need to focus, the two of you need to pose as a high end, couple, for this charity event, so I need both of you too listen" Dean and I looked a little guilty, but then Dean smirked "bite me" I chuckled a little, the way Sam's face has irritation written all over..
Sam looked at me, eyeing the oversized clothing I always wear, oh he didn't want to say it out loud but, I knew what he was thinking, how am I going to look the part?. I barely even wear makeup or do my hair, but like who would not want to be comfortable when you're fighting monsters and ghosts. I smile, "Don't worry boys, I'll dress the part" Dean gave me this surprised almost scolding look sounding sincere, "You are beautiful sweetheart, I don't care what you wear, your beautiful" he walked up to me, and without hesitation he pulled me into an endearing kiss, his hands resting on my hips, I heard Sam, mumbling "Oh! Give me a break" and walk out, leaving the two of us, I could feel the way Dean smiled, against my lips. After a few more seconds, we came up for air, sounding breathy ,"Babe you should stop terrorising your brother so much" he simply smirked "Not my fault Sammy is so easily annoyed" I laugh, starting to turn away from him, "I need to go and get ready for tonight's event, you too mister" he grabbed my wrist, "Come here sweetheart" he pulled me close to him, looking into my eyes, "you know I love you right, more than anything in this world?" I smiled, looking at this gorgeous man in front of me, his freckles, my damn weakness, "Mhmm you see I know that's not true" surprised he looks at me "what?" Chuckling a bit "what about baby?" Referencing the love for his Chevrolet Impala, standing in the garage, he burst into laughter "You are driving me crazy woman, now go get ready" giving me a playful slap on the rear. I walk away, smiling, my heart bursting with love and joy.
He smiles as he watches her walk away, wearing loose fitting jeans one of his t-shirts and some flannel, hair in a messy bun, it's true he didn't care what she wore, she's so beautiful for him, but he would be lying, if he said he wasn't curious what she'll look like all dressed up, for some reason that's beyond him, she always thinks she's not pretty, but oh how far that could be from the truth, he knows every single inch of her body, every little spot that makes her tickle, every Little sensitive part, that makes her moan in pleasure, he loves her, even more than his car, but he'll never admit it.
Checking himself in the mirror, mumbling "I hate these monkey suits" as he struggled with his bow tie. He walks around the bunker searching for Sam, of course he finds his little brother's nose buried in those damn books, "Sammy help a man out?" Sam looks up, "you can hunt some of the most dangerous creatures, but you can't fix a tie?" The glare Dean gives him shows he isn't happy at the remark, he gets up, helping his big brother fix the tie.
Sam's eyes widens, his mouth falls open, Dean looks at him "What's your problem?" Sam could barely utter a single word he was stunned to say the least, Dean followed his eyes and when Dean turned around, his breathing hitched, his heart rate went up, he slightly gasped for air, taking in the beauty before him, his eyes wandered over her. Her hair draped over her shoulders, her eyes glistening, her smile could light up the darkest of rooms, wearing a red tight fitting dress. The high cut slit in her dress, exposing her right leg, the crystal like heels, making her seem taller, her legs leaner, the low halter cut, just exposing enough of her collar bone, to leave something for the imagination.
Without saying a word, Dean gestured for her to turn, the back of the dress, totally exposed, just covered her lower back. He bit his lower lip, and with the back of his hand, hitting against Sam's chest, his voice sounding a bit more husky, "shit, that's my woman?!" She laughed and her voice rang, "Last time I checked, I was all yours"
All the way to the event Dean could barely keep his eyes on the road.
When he led her through the doors, his hand rested on the curve of her back, so many eyes were on her, and he slightly chuckled when she whispered "why are they all looking at me?" As if she doesn't know she's beautiful! So he just smiled, took her hand, and asked "do me the honour and dance with me?" She did a little playful dip, "the honour would be all mine" before he pulled her close, he gave her a once over. He never saw the highlights in your hair, that caught your eyes, or the dress you're wearing tonight, he pulls you close. Dancing cheek to cheek, the way she feels this close to him, her small hands on his shoulders, his calloused hands, in the small of her back, sending electric shocks through her spine, swaying with the music, maybe Dean's caught up in the moment, but there's a question weighing on him for months, but now, now it feels like the right moment, he's voice sounded deeper than normal as he whispered, hot air brushing against her neck "Sweetheart?"
Slightly breathy, "Yes?" He cleared his throat, "make me the happiest man alive, and be my wife?"
Her swaying body came to a stop , "A...are you asking me" he cut her off, pulled back looking in her eyes, "yes, will you marry me?" I couldn't believe it, he just asked me to be forever his, without further due, I planted a kiss on his plum lips, soft tears rolling down my cheeks, he smiled against her soft lips, "is that a yes?" I break the kiss, smiling widely, "yes a million times yes" he laughed, picked her up, gave a twirl, and placed her down, his fingers intertwined with hers. Giving me that signature smirk, "What do you, say Mrs Winchester let's go catch that shifter, then we celebrate with some pie and beer?" I laughed, nodding, as happy as can be, "lead the way Mr Winchester".

What kind of dads I think the 141 tf would be
༻━━━━༺❀༻━━━━༺
𝒥𝑜𝒽𝓃 '𝒮𝑜𝒶𝓅' 𝓜.
❀ Deffo a girl dad
❀ He has three girls with you and always rough housing with them—throwing them in the air and doing anything to make his little girls giggle
❀ ALWAYs giving you heart attacks with the trick he does with them
Once pushed his daughter abruptly into the pool after swimming lessons to see if they payed off (they did)
Then one of your daughters wanted to try a yoga tick and she definitely flipped when she wasn't supposed to.
❀ Always trying to make them happy
Takes them to the daddy daughter dances, takes them on daddy–daughter dates
Buys them anything they want whether it be food to the latest toy
❀ Takes pictures of them all the time!!! What can he say, he likes proof
❀ After a year of taking a break from kids you two try again and finally he gets a boy
He’s so excited
𝒮𝒾𝓂𝑜𝓃 '𝒢𝒽𝑜𝓈𝓉’ 𝓡.
❀ Girl dad all the way!
❀ Obsessed with his little girl and never lets her out of his sight.
❀ Gets teary eyed when she grows every month
❀ He was hesitant to have a kid but you two got the case of baby fever (and horniness) and made one. Now he's in love.
❀ Cherishes her and makes sure she's always happy.
❀ The burly man is suddenly so gentle and always doing peek-a-boo to make her smile
❀ You two wait at least three years to have another kid
Now he’s a girl and boy dad!
❀ Makes sure to treat the two of them so well and make sure they never experience what he did when he was little.
❀ Even with his son hes gently
Sees how Soap plays with his daughters and has a heart attack at the thought of them being in the air
But when his son grows up a bit and starts getting more “tough” (aka punching Simon with his little fists and Simon just thinks it his muscles spasming until he turns around and sees the little guy) he starts playing with him somewhat more rough.
Teaches him Krav Maga
Takes him to the shooting range (only after hes 15)
Also teaches his daughter Krav Maga and gives her enough self protection items to protect herself and the whole school
❀ He tries to not over do it but he's always spending his money on them (and u obvi)
❀ Takes them by base sometimes just to meet their “uncles.”
❀ He just loves them so much
𝒥𝑜𝒽𝓃 𝒫𝓇𝒾𝒸𝑒
❀ Girl dad.
❀ Doesn't have a boy—wouldn't be mad if he had one but he doesn't care, hes ecstatic with his two girls.
❀ Cherishes those precious little girls with his whole heart
❀ Very strict and tells them once they can understand words that they cant date until they turn 30
When they grow up it gets annoying but he's very insistent that they cant date—at least not in high school
❀ He does all the things “normal families do” when he's back home
Disneyland trips, road trips, dinners anywhere the family wants
Speaking of dinners—everyone votes which restaurant sounds the best and that's where you guys go
❀ Almost cries every first day of school
Always posting/sharing photos in family and friend gc’s to show off his daughters achievements
Example:
Price: (Photo of him next to his daughter after getting an award) My daughters amazing
Ghost: 👍
Soap: good kid, congrats
Gaz: let her know we’re proud!
❀ If he posts a picture i believe the caption would go: My little girl is always putting in the work! Best student I know!
He’s always having proud dad moments 🥺
𝒦𝓎𝓁𝑒 "𝒢𝒶𝓏" 𝒢.
❀ Two boys and then one girl
❀ Loves all of them so much!
❀ He’s always teaching them new things
He’s a teaching dad
Teaches them how to cook, play sports, bake, swim, ect.
❀ Takes them to sports events and concerts
He’s the kind of guy whos always giving them reasons to post pics
❀ Soaps a cool dad but he's a rowdy cool, Kyle on the other hand is cool chill dad
His kids are never embarrassed by him and their friends also love him
❀ (He’s the dad who the moms like)
❀ Not as strict on his kids but he is very protective
❀ He also teaches his kids self defense

It's A Sin [Jimmy Darling]

Angst. Maybe a good ending.
Dandy stole you. That's what Jimmy thinks anyway. You wanted to take a break, and you left the Freakshow for a while. In that time, Dandy wooed you. You didn't come back. Even if you did, Dandy wouldn't let you.
I'm so sorry for this, I just thought of it and thought it would be good to get back into writing for Jimmy<3
No one's perspective
⊹˚.⋆ ₊꒷ᘏᘏ︶ଓ︶꒷꒦⊹˚ᗢ₊꒷︶ଓ︶꒷
Weeks passed.
Months.
You hadn't come back.
"leave it, Jimmy. Seriously...they would've come back by now." Eve mentioned. But he couldn't. He couldn't just live his life without you to help him and live by his side. Fucking Dandy.
Jimmy sat by the ticket booth, day after day. Not eating, drinking, not even looking back once. Still with a glint of hope in his eyes that you would come back. Back into his arms, and into the Freakshow where you belonged. He held the picture of you in his hands, always. Standing with Elsa and Ma Petite, performing together, smiling the night away. But Dandy just couldn't help himself.
He couldn't stop himself from wooing you with the possibility of a warm meal and a fluffy bed every single night. Being with a man who won't be charmed by other women and was 'normal'. You defended Jimmy at first, saying how he was as normal as you or I. But the baby wasn't having it. He stomped around screaming nothing until he picked you up and threw you in the car. "You're mine now." He seethed. You spat and tugged at the car door. Locked. A shit-eating grin appeared on his face when you realised you couldn't get out.
The drive was silent and awkward. You muttered insults. Dandy ignored. But when you got to the manor, you ran. You ran as far as you could. Away from Dandy.
That's what Jimmy hoped anyway. He hoped you were running. Back towards your home. In reality, you were swooned ever so slightly. You were Dandy's now. Sleeping in a plush, big bed every night with a warm breakfast in bed in the morning. You could live like this forever. Everything you ever wanted, right at your fingertips. Where was your Jimmy in your mind? The last thought in your mind when you fall asleep at night. How he could also be happy like this, but he refuses.
Every single thing about you was missed. It was starting to feel wrong. To love you and miss you so much. Heartache, heartbroken, lost. Desperately waiting and searching for you every morning. Waking up every morning wishing you were still asleep in his arms, missing the way you kissed him so gently, and how Motherly you were with Pepper and Salty. Pepper cried when she realised you were gone. One of the kindest souls, abandoned her, more heartbreak. Jimmy felt guilty for you. He couldn't look them in the eyes anymore. The man spent hours staring at your photos, missing your pretty laugh more day after day.
"I miss them so badly..."
"I know Jimmy. I know. But there's no point sittin' and mopin' around in front of the tent all day. Come eat."
"go away Ma.."
He couldn't bear to look his mother in the eyes. He was betraying everyone, but he wanted nothing more than to see you running towards him on the road, jumping into his safe, protective arms once again, and being back home. She sighed, and just turned away, walking back into the Freakshow tent.
Time passed.
A cold October night.
No one around here, no one there.
Breaths, and slowing down footsteps. A lit-up sign in front of their eyes. 1am. No one behind them, to the right, left or in front of. No car following them quietly. Opening the curtains, they walked in. Radio silence. It felt like they had to walk on air. Everything was the way it was when they left. When they walked out of the door, and out of the freaks' lives. You heard your beloved nickname. "Schön..?" Elsa asked quietly, standing in shock. Whether it was happy or angry shock you didn't know until she rushed to you, a grip around your tired body pulling you up. "Mein gott.. schieße.." German mutters and swears.
"I never shoulda left Elsa. Darl', I'm so sorry.." you whispered into her shoulder, knowing to hold in your tears. Both of you spoke for what felt like hours, and now you were standing by the stage, waiting for Elsa to signal you.
"seriously Elsa? This has to happen now?" You missed his voice. You felt like putty already, but you silently coughed and stood up straight.
"Yes! It cannot wait any longer." Jimmy tiredly chuckled. Oh, how you could be a puddle right now, entranced by him just like you were when you were first introduced to him. Lights cut, you stepped onto the stage with shaky legs and hands, facing the wall. The sudden awareness of lights made. You take a deep, incredibly shaky breath. Jimmy recognised you instantly. He stood up, anger, confusion, and love filling his brain. And in a second, you spun on your heel. Eyes meeting eyes. Seeing the sadness in Jimmy's look made you want to fade into the wall and never address him ever again. He muttered your name as the urge to fall to your knees grew.
"Jimmy.." you muttered back, half smiling. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." You were almost cut off as Jimmy jumped to meet you on the stage, holding your hands tightly.
"Why? Why Dandy? Of all fuckin' people?"
"Because I was selfish." You looked away at the ground, feeling too guilty to ever look in his eyes again. "I was fucking selfish and lacked judgement. This is home." A hug was the last thing you expected as a response, but Jimmy held you tight, what you had craved for the last two months. He sobbed into your shoulder, and everything hit you like a freight truck. Hearing the one you loved to cry, realising how badly you fucked up. It made you burst, gripping the loose fabric on his back.
"Jimmy Darling, darling, I never shoulda left you. I'm sorry for being an asshole."
"My pretty sweetheart.." he muttered, holding your face, both your eyes and his, glassy. And a kiss. One like never before. Desperate hands around his neck, your back, weak knees, small giggles and smiles. Being held by the one who gave you the world despite everything. This felt right.
"I'm so glad Elsa woke me up." He chuckled, resting his forehead on yours.
"I'm glad I came back."

Waiting to be loved
Part XII
A Billy Russo Fanfiction

Part I Part II Part III Part IV Part V Part VI Part VII Part VIII Part IX Part X Part XI
About a week later on the night of their scadueled dinner, Y/N was sitting in front of her vanity and just finished up getting ready.
Her hair looked big and volumous and for her dress she had chosen a black option which was just a little more revealing than her usual outfits, but still classy. She knew Billy was taking her to one of the fanciest restaurants in town so she wanted to look that part. It was usual for her to put thought and effort into her appearance but tonight she wanted to look extra special
Was it a proper date? They often went out for dinner or ordered food after late working hours but when he had told her where exatly they were going, it had caught her off guard. That place was definitely a little too fancy to take you assistant/affair, even if it was to celebrate a successful deal. She knew the training with the FBI had gone well and the option for further deals was very much still on the table.
Billy had worked so hard to get his company to where they were now, he deserved a nice evening of celebrating his work and also himself. And Y/N wanted to play her part acceptionally.
The dress was classy and showed off just enough, but her 6-inch heels would add the last bit of umpf the outfit needed. That and the red YSL lipstick ahe planned on wearing.
So was it a date? Did she want it to be a date? It would be a lie if she said she wasn't totally infatuated by this man, but he was still her boss... maybe she was getting her hopes up a little...
Her hair and outfit were already perfect when she curled her eyeslashes as one of the last steps of her routine, but was suddenly interupted by Claire who swung the door to her room wide open.
"Have you seen Evie's Elsa-Tonie-Figure - Oh, looks like someone's got a date!"
Y/N couldn't hide the grin that was appearing on her lips. "Maybe."
"Good!", Claire cheared and sat down on the corner of her best friend's bed: "I can't remember the last time you had one! But it'll be good for you."
"How's that?"
"With another man in your life, maybe you'll start to set healthy boundaries with your boss when it comes to working hours or work load", she said with a mocking smile, at the same time Y/N knew she was absolutely serious. If only she knew...
"Ha. Ha. When was the last time, you've been on a date? Would probably be good for you too."
"No...it's too soon... is he handsome? I bet he is!"
"Oh yes", she answered: "Gorgeous."
"Can I see a picture of him?", she already jumped off the bed but Y/N quickly protested: "N-no! ...uh I mean not yet. Let's see how it goes first."
"Okay, okay, little kill joy", her friend answered with a wink: "I'll let you get ready then. BUT I demand a detailed break down of your deate when you get back."
With these words she left the room again.
Y/N still hadn't told her about the affair, she knew she wouldn't like it and she wasn't ready for that lecture yet.
Just when Y/N grabbed for her lipstick, her phone lit, to signal she had received a message.
It was Billy.
"I'm stuck at work. Can't make it."
Was he serious? He was supposed to be here in 10 minutes!
Her heart sank. He had to be kidding.
But clearly he wasn't. Angrily she slammed the phone down on her vanity. It had taken her hours to get ready and he dropped her just like that! Without an apology!
Hours of getting ready for nothing. Oh no. It had taken her so long, she at least needed him to see it. Even if only on screen.
Y/N finished up the lipstick and looked in the mirror with confidence. She looked stunning and it was entirely his loss.
Quickly she took a photo (or rather a few and chose the very best) and send it to her boss with the caption: "Just wanted to let you know, what you're missing out on."
It only took a second before she saw he was already typing an answer.
"Please don't make this any harder, gorgeous. You look like an absolute dream. I'd love to see you like. And I'd love to take off this dress even more."
She knew. It was nice to hear it from him, but she knew. So she put her phone down again without a reply, crossed her arms and pouted.
After minute she got another message: "Are you angry?"
Of course she was! He had bailed on her the very last second!
Finally she got up and took off her dress to switch it for something more comfortable. His message remained unanswered and she decided to leave her phone in her room before he could say anything else.
Was she gonna start a fight with her boss? No. But if she answered she knew this was what it was goning to turn into. No matter if this had been a proper date or a business dinner, canceling last minute was shit.
With an annoyed face expression the entered the living room where her best friend was colouring with Evie.
"What-", Claire started with a puzzled face expression but Y/N cut her short: "Please don't ask."
Realisation rushed over her face before she said: "Oh okay."
"Sushi?"
"Sushi, it is!"
Concidering how annoyed Y/N had been, it had still been a nice eveing in the end. Altough Y/N had remained angry. Whoever that guy was, who had cancelled on her, didn't deserve her time of day, Claire had said. And Y/N knew she was right, but of course Claire didn't know she had to sit in front of that guys office on Monday again.
Evie had fallen a sleep a while ago and the two friends just finished cleaning the plates and snack bowls up, when it knocked on their apartment door.
"Who could that be? It's almost 11 o'clock."
"I'll go and check", Y/N decided and walked over to the door. Of course she checked the peep hole first and to her surprize saw no other than Billy Russo.
An annoyed sigh left her lips and she contemplated not opening but the part of her, that was still happy to see him won.
She opened the door just enough to stand in to doorframe and greeted him with a cold - not angry yet: "It's already late."
"Don't be angry, please."
God, Claire definitely shouldn't hear this, so she decided to step into the hallway and left the door ajar.
"I'm not."
He was dressed way too casual for a work meeting and she realized the slight smell of cigarettes and beer that clung to his clothes. Where on earth had he been?
"You didn't have to come here, really."
"I had to see you."
Her heart jumped.
"I don't want you to be angry. I know, it was a dick move to cancel last minute, but I had to."
"You're right. It was a dick move."
A smirk appeared on his lips: "Did you just call your boss a dick?"
"I simply didn’t disagree with my boss. "
"Can I come in? ", Billy asked with a glimmer of hope and mischief in his eyes: "I’ll make it up to you, I promise. "
Maybe somewhere along the way Y/N had finally found her pride or maybe it was because she was angry still but as tempting as his offer was, she couldn’t let him in. Not just because Claire was there.
"I don’t think that’s a good idea... not tonight. "
"Okay ", Billy sight: “Then let me cook for you tomorrow.”

Are you taking requests? If so Lee!giyuu and Ler!tengen and rengoku
decline if you want and take your time <3
Did you read my last fic where Giyuu finally teaches Tengen and Kyojuro a lesson? This could be considered the second part (I didn't have another picture, don't judge me)

Lers: Tengen Uzui and Kyojuro Rengoku
Lee: Giyuu Tomioka
It had already been a week since both 'tickle monsters' had received their lesson, they were grateful, especially Tengen, that no one knew about it. But they were cautious, if they did something to anger Sanemi, he would say so and would NEVER let them both forget that "humiliation"
'I'm not happy with that damn humiliation... Do you know what's the worst?! That it was Tomioka who tickled us! TOMIOKA!!', Tengen was pouting, Kyojuro was also a bit embarrassed about it, but it wasn't as dramatic as Uzui. 'I know Tengen! Hahahaha Tomioka certainly surprised me! Maybe we should integrate him into our team!'
'NO!!' 'Just think about it! No one would suspect that Tomioka is good at tickling and that would give him an advantage!'
Tengen refused, not planning on deal with another "humiliation" made by Giyuu. Although some of his words were true, no one would expect Giyuu to be this good at tickling and that was what helped him to let their guard down. 'Hey... What if we get revenge?'
'Hmm, I think I know where this conversation is going and my answer is no! Uzui, take defeat like a mature man, you act like a child!', Tengen gasped offended, it was true but that was not the topic of conversation.
It took some convincing, but it seems that what changed his mind was when he returned from his checkup with Shinobu. His face was red, he stood in a corner and covered himself with his cloak. 'Hey... Are you okay-?'
'You know what Tengen?! Now I support the idea! Tomioka is going to get a taste of his own medicine for being a gossip!'
Tengen smiled and they both planned what they would do, although Kyojuro was scolding him because there was a death wish in his requests.
Giyuu never really said anything to Shinobu, she only did it to annoy them both, it was fun for her, although maybe she should have clarified some things to Rengoku but it was too late.
'It's been almost 2 weeks since Shinazugawa and I defeated the TenRen team, nothing has happened during those days, should I be worried or happy?', Giyuu thought while eating.
Revenge was a sure thing, especially from Uzui, he knew him quite well and he probably would have been throwing a masterful tantrum at Rengoku if he needed his help.
It was something to be expected for Giyuu, but he don't expected that a scream would bring him out of his thoughts, it was barely morning, it couldn't be a demon. 'DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU'D GET AWAY WITH THIS?!'
'Hahahaha calm down Uzui! We don't want to scare Giyuu!', Kyojuro commented to jump and start pulling Tengen by the ear.
Giyuu now knew he was screwed, not because of his sudden appearance, but because Shinazugawa was also there, but he was on Tengen's shoulders as he panted, looking exhausted.
If Sanemi had ended up like this for just helping him, what would happen to Giyuu who was the "mastermind" of the whole plan?
'KYO!! THAT HURTS!!' 'I hope this way you learn to respect Uzui! Now then, come here Tomio-!', they both looked at where the blue-eyed boy was sitting, but only found his food unfinished and covered with a tablecloth.
After Rengoku made sure Tengen put Sanemi down correctly, the two pursued their main target.
Giyuu didn't know what to do, everything he planned in one way or another would be ruined, unless he asked for help, but who would? Mitsuri would probably join them, Obanai would betray him, Muichiro would try to defend him in vain, Shinobu would be cruel enough to advise Tengen and Kyojuro on how to tickle him, but... Gyomei wouldn't do it, right? He has seen countless times that he has been the one to break up fights or tickle attacks, so he would be safe on his estate .
'GOTCHA GIYUU TOMIOKA!!', Giyuu was picked up from the ground and thrown into the air only to be caught. 'Did you really think your little escape plan would work?'
'Honestly yes, but I already saw this moment coming, especially because of your tantrums as an immature and melodramatic man...'
'And I totally agree with you Giyuu!'
Tengen stared at Kyojuro, seriously? Was he helping him or was insulting him?! Kyojuro pointed to his puffed cheeks and called him that again, well, that was enough!
'I thought we were going to get revenge on Giyuu...' 'I'm just telling the truth, you only need one romper to be a giant-sized baby.'
Giyuu snorted, normally these interactions between the two friends were quite funny, and they didn't understand why they didn't do them more often...
Oh wait, that was why, because those two always started to tickle someone and after that they just went away.
'Well Tomioka, I guess you know what's next, right?' 'Yeah, I'm surprised you haven't done something before...'
'Ooooh?', both hashiras raised their eyebrows. Did that mean, that Giyuu wanted that revenge to have happened sooner?
Or maybe he just accepted the fact that a "tickle monster" doesn't forget. 'My my Tomioka! Well, Kyojuro, what if you do the honors?'
'W-Wait... I didn't start with raspberries! Don't be unf...! AHAHAHAHAHA!!'
Going straight for the kill, huh? Although Giyuu was right, he didn't start like that, maybe he started with his worst spots, but he gave them enough time and a little warning of what was next, so did Giyuu have the right to complain, or maybe not?. 'Ow! Tomioka! Be careful or you're going to dislocate my nose!'
'I'M SOHOHORRY!! AAAAH!! O-oh my gohohod... Yohohou dohonehehe...?'
'What? If we're done? Oh Tomioka, this is just the beginning! Let's make a deal!', Giyuu shook his head, a deal between those two was not good at all.
But we already know what those are like, they are quite "persuasive"...
Giyuu had no choice but to accept, if with that he could prevent them from continuing to blow raspberries on his tummy and neck, everything would be fine. 'Okahahahay... What's the deal...?'
'More than a deal it's a game that Kyojuro and I play from time to time, we call it "the 5 questions challenge". If you answer a question wrong, you'll get a nice round of raspberries and if you answer correctly, you'll have a few minutes to catch your breath... So, do you accept or not?'
Giyuu hesitated, he had never heard that game, but well, I ended up agreeing, on the condition that they be gentle, but we all know that won't happen.
'I think they must be questions that Giyuu can answer!'
'Done.... And I think I know which ones are appropriate~' 'I don't like that face and tone of voice... Why do you...? Mhmhmhmhm!!', do you think you have an idea of what the questions are? No? Well, let's find out!
They started with light pokes, just enough to make him laugh and not try to escape. It was time for the first question...
'Okay Tomioka, first question! Who's a ticklish baby...~?', Tengen laughed as Giyuu's face immediately turned red
It was no secret that Giyuu could NEVER help but blush at that childish talk, it didn't bother him, but he was a little embarrassed to have to admit certain things.
'I-Ihihihit's...!! Oh mahahahan, I cahahan't!!' 'Come on Tomioka! If you can't answer or don't answer the question correctly, you know what happens...~'
Giyuu shook his head, it was quite embarrassing for him, but what options did he have?
Whatever it was, he had to say the answer quickly, because Tengen and Kyojuro giving each other a knowing look was not a good sign.
'Okahahahay!! It's me!! Ihihit's meee!!' 'Correct answer! Okay, second question Tomioka! Do you like songs?!'
Giyuu stared at Rengoku. "You like songs"? What kind of question was that? One second... Songs, songs... Songs...?! Giyuu immediately shook his head, he felt that if either of them sang at that moment, he would snort and scream.
Kyojuro tsked and also shook his head in disapproval, indicating that the answer was incorrect. 'Ooooow Tomioka, but you were doing well! You don't like the songs? Then why do you always sing to Muichiro to sleep? You even sing with the Kocho girls!'
'Thahahat is dihihifferehehehent!! Plehahasehe!! Nohohot... AHAHAHA HAHAHA!!'
He didn't have time to respond, he always forgot that liars were punished with raspberries...
At least he felt safe having a uniform to protect him, but even with the uniform, the sensations ran through his entire body, making him tense. 'Well well, it seems we have a liar. Although maybe something has happened and that's why Tomioka now hates singing, I'll make her love it again!'
'WHAAAAT?! PLEHAHASEHE!! NOHOHOT THE SOHOHONGS!!' 'There are so many songs... Ooooh, how about my favorite? Itsy bitsy spider, he spun his web~', Giyuu shouted.
His idea was that if he screamed enough, he wouldn't hear Rengoku sing as he tortuously slid his fingers along each of the spaces between his ribs.
He could justify it by saying that it was the consecutive raspberries that made him scream, but when they stopped, he didn't know what excuse to give.
'Itsy bitsy spider, he climbed again...~ did you know that there was also an obstacle for our little friend?!'
'Ooooh? I didn't know! Tell us more about that Kyo!' 'Nooooo!! Okay!! I lied!! Yehehehes, I lihikehehehe the sohohongs!! I lihihikehehe ihihit!!'
They both wanted to give him a break, but without losing the sensation, so they used gentle tickling again, which Giyuu seemed to like. 'Aaaaw! Tomioka, do you like this feeling?!'
'Ihihit fehehels nihicehehehe! That co-countehehed as ahahaha the third quehehehestihihohon?!'
'Eeeeem, I think so! Hahahaha, how silly of me, but it's always good to ask for convenience!', Tengen laughed but nodded.
Although Giyuu had wanted the tickling to continue that way, there were still two questions left to answer...
Maybe if he answered correctly, they would gladly tickle him again.
'Very good! Fourth question! Do you like raspberries?!' 'Y-yehehes...'
Both Kyojuro and Tengen got excited, they already knew the answer, but still, the excitement of the moment, you could say.
Giyuu began to take a breath, he had already accepted his taste so, surely, they would give him some raspberries before continuing with the last question. 'Correct answer. You see? It's quite fun, isn't it? Kyojuro, ready?'
'I was born ready!', Giyuu wrinkled his neck in anticipation and closed his eyes, which he opened when he felt someone grab him by the sides.
Rengoku crouched down and began to inhale almost at the same time as Tengen, so that eventually they both blew a raspberry on his neck and tummy.
But unlike others, this one was not so tortuous, did it tickle you? Yes, obviously, but not to the point of becoming hysterical, he liked the feeling. 'Okahahahay!! Finahahal quehesiohohon!! Guhuhuys!! Cohomehehe ohohohon!! Ehehehehehe!!! Plehahasehe!!'
'Sorry sorry, we got excited! Well, last question...' 'Did you like it?'
He had to admit, even though at certain moments he thought he would die, the feeling was very pleasant, so he nodded, laughing when they both caressed his head.
'Well, our revenge is done! See you soon dear Tomioka!' 'Eeeeh, you don't have to leave yet... If you don't mind, could you continue...?'
Giyuu looked away, he had said it and there was no going back. Both hashiras smiled at him, sitting on the floor and complying with Giyuu's request. Without a doubt, the second best revenge that Giyuu has suffered

The Truth about the
Twilight
*Realm of Twilight*
I wonder when Telma's wedding will be.
You flipped through the pages of a book. What you had read and what the title of the book even was, you weren't sure. Since returning to the Twilight, you have been spending most of your time in the palace's library. The only place where you could mope without it being noticed among your peers.
You hadn't seen Midna since your return, having other business to attend to within your realm. Not that you minded. You didn't want her to see what the light had done to you.
You also had yet to yield a concrete answer to her homework assignment. You left her tear in her study, not wanting to carry around the portal that could lead you back to Link.
Link. The man whose lips held nothing but lies, while his eyes regarded you with nothing but the truth.
He and Ilia should be betrothed by now. You slammed the nameless book closed in frustration. You couldn't concentrate on any of your studies. Especially not when they all mentioned the Hero of Twilight and who the Twilight deemed him to be.
"Y/N?" You heard a soft voice linger from the doorway. One of your fellow Twili stood in the shadow of the doorway. "Midna has returned to the palace. You are expected to give a lecture tonight about your studies in the Realm of Light. Before your lecture, you are wanted in her study."
"I look forward to it." Your jaw muscles were set so tight, you couldn't even bluff a smile. You moved toward another aisle of books, continuing to stalk through the titles, noting the dust pockets beginning to cover the shelves.
"Y/N? I know you are probably saving your lecture for tonight. But we are all so curious to hear what you thought of the Light. Do you think the interlopers did us a favor? Or if they robbed us of something grand by not being part of it?"
You turned to see her vermilion eyes glancing at you inquisitively from the shadow she was enrobed in. You didn't want to talk about the light.
Ever again.
You let out a gruff sigh. "I think they did us a big favor by not letting us fall in love." You proceeded to sulk down the aisle of books coated in dust. Why had nobody come down this aisle and cleaned like they had the other ones? Didn't anyone read books in this aisle? And why were you becoming irrationally piqued over dust?
"Um, oh, ok. I guess you'll explain in tonight's lecture." Your Twili comrade vanished in obvious confusion.
You continued to scan some of the book titles in the particularly dirty aisle you were in.
"Becoming the Hero of Twilight."
Ha. Becoming a goat herder is more like it.
"The Realm of Love and Light."
More like the realm of letdowns and light.
“Hylians: Who they are and What they want.”
Who they are: liars. What they want, to break hearts.
You rubbed your temples in slight shame, tasting how revolting your own bitterness was in your throat. You hated how negative your thoughts had become. Could you even blame Link? You swore you'd be happy for him no matter what. Was this real love if you were so bitter? Didn't real love mean the unconditional desire for their own happiness and needs?
Even if they were above your own?
But the way my heart hurts... a heart wouldn't hurt like this if it wasn't real.
Your eyes were level with another book in front of you.
"Zant: A Biography”
You pulled the book out; its cover was attached by mere threads. The cover had a picture of Ganondorf holding Zant's head.
Then there was Link, holding Ganondorf's head.
The version of Link depicted on the cover was the closest you had ever seen him drawn in your realm. From his hard, structured jaw down to his fluffy, blonde bangs and the way they curled outward. You stared at his face, instantly remembering the flicker in his eyes as he drank in the image of your lips in that alley in Castle Town.
Remembering the way he rocked you in his arms as you cried in Lake Hylia.
Remembering how he had jumped off that spinner and ran to cradle you into him when he thought he had lost you.
Remembering especially, the flavor of his lips as he pressed them against you in dire need.
But the memory of his empty, frigid eyes that pierced through you like icicles melted the warmth of any of the aforementioned ones.
You thought back to the first time you met. The way he stared at you, like the goddesses had just dropped a sacred stone in his lap.
How had things come to this?
You thrust the book back into its slot, burying your eyes in the crook of your arm, hoping to block the emergence of tears. You felt as if someone had thrust their hand through the cavity where your heart lies in your chest. The pain forcing you to cascade down to your knees, sobbing.
"Goddesses!" You had never heard what anguish sounded like, but in that moment, you heard it come from your own voice. You slammed your fist against a random book on the shelf, causing the shelf to rumble.
"I'm not strong enough to handle this! Please! I can't handle th— You continued to wail without caring who might hear. Except nobody would hear. The book you had punched levered forward, snapping back in place. The rumbling of the shelf ceased, causing one of the murky palace floor tiles to open.
You fell into a dark chasm that was no darker than the bitterness of your broken heart.
*
You awoke to a barren room. The only sound was your heart, which still continued to beat despite its extreme duress. The only thing that you could make out in the dark desolation around you was a pedestal that had three empty spots. It reminded you of the pedestal you had seen in the Temple of Time.
You jolted up off the ground, as alarm set in. You looked at the lacquered floors that had the same sheen as the Temple of Time's. Only this floor was so opaque you couldn't see your reflection inside of it.
You looked at the pedestal once more, certain you were looking at an exact replica of the one inside the Temple of Time. Beyond the pedestal was a mirror.
Your eyes widened at the clicking thrum of a time shaft pulsing within the mirror. It was an exact clone of what you would see when you would dip between realms with Midna's tear. Your jaw became stiff from hanging open with such disbelief.
As you approached the mirror, you noticed the turbid residue covering it, rendering any reflection invisible.
There was also the tiniest space chipped out of it.
"Oh, goddesses—" You retracted yourself a few steps and slammed into Midna.
"Y/N."
You startled, cocking your head back over your shoulder at Midna.
"I was hoping to discuss your homework assignment with you before I showed you this." Midna's voice was dotted with a note of irritation.
"Well, no matter. Welcome back, Y/N." She placed a hand on your shoulder, dangling her tear in front of you.
Its shape the perfect outline of the missing piece of the chip in the mirror.
"It's time to tell you the truth about the Twilight."
Edited:2/23/24
Back to the scholar's life, it is for you. As your mundane routine of scholastic affairs returns full force, you find that your goodwill for Link's happiness has not. As you try to fight the bitterness of rejection, Midna has some information to share with you.
The mirror's surface will reflect your deepest desires and darkest fears. Through its visions, there will be a choice. To move forward in love or to move backward in hate.
Which will you choose?

Tommy & Bruiser Part 1
Title: Tommy & Bruiser Fandom(s): 9-1-1 Relationships: Evan Buckley/Tommy Kinard, Temporary Tommy Kinard/Other Men, Background Pairings Tags: Tommy Adopts A Dog, Fluff, Getting Together Warnings: Canon-Typical Violence, Explicit Sex, Discussion of Domestic Violence, Discussion of Stalking, Discussion of Harassment Summary: Tommy's life changes when he meets a shivering mess during a fire. Word Count: 118 for each day Author Notes: For @118dailydrabble.
I will be posting these in sets of 6 days & an extra prompt here on Tumblr, and then when I complete all the prompts, I'll be posting on my WordPress site.
Day 1-Flame
The shivering mess hadn't been from anywhere near where the flames were. Still, Tommy was sure the dog wouldn't want to be let down anytime soon.
Tommy was on his break now, and the dog hadn't left his lap. He was in the back of the ambulance, giving the dog oxygen. Miriam had tried to get the dog to settle down and let her take him, but the dog had been unwilling to let her touch him. Only him.
"You are stuck with him; you know that, right?" Miriam asked.
"Yeah, I know." Tommy wasn't mad, though, not yet.
He knew that since he found the dog alone with its owners dead. Tommy had adopted a dog. Fun.
Day 2-Family
Tommy didn't have a lot of people he considered family. His birth family was either dead when it came to the people that he actually wanted to be around or were pieces of shit. He was looking forward to the day that his father died, but he hadn't been blessed with that yet.
The thought of having someone to come home to was kind of scary, even if it was a dog that could fit in a purse. The dog was a diva of the highest order, but then again, that was kind of a given for the breed. Tommy had never seen himself getting a Chihuahua before this. Never thought it would take days to love anyone.
Day 3-Abandon
"I did not abandon you. You certified diva." Tommy picked up Bruiser from where he was hiding in the bed, where Jake had said that he spent the whole day unless Jake had forced him outside or fed him.
Bruiser licked his face and tried to burrow into his skin. Tommy looked at the bedroom door.
"That dog loves the shit out of you," Jake said from the doorway.
"I know, he's also a diva." Tommy didn't care. He did love the damned dog. Even if he pretty much fits in his hand.
"You still coming to breakfast?"
"If I can bring Mister Diva."
"Of course, you don't go anywhere without him now."
Tommy just smiled at him.
Day 4-Countdown
Tommy waited for it. He pulled the blanket up his body to where he was snug inside. It was snug under the covers of the bed because he had been there a while. He heard Bruiser getting the run on in the living room after his snack that Tommy had hidden around the house for him to find.
The sound of claws on the kitchen floor echoed to him, and then he started the countdown.
Four.
The sound of a body into a wall when the floor didn't stop him.
Three.
More claws.
Two.
A body against the wall.
One.
The thump on the door.
Zero.
A flying body on the bed that felt heavier than it was.
Day 5-Locker
Tommy opened his locker, smiling at the picture of Bruiser there. Miriam had taken it and sent it to him, and he had printed it off.
"I told Jake you were going to become one of those dog owners," Miriam said as she closed her locker and turned to face him fully.
"What kind?" Tommy got what he needed from the locker and shoved his newest book. He wasn't done with his other yet so that he would finish it first. It depended on how much time he had at work.
"The kind that treats the dog like a kid, which you did with that plant, too."
"Still do."
"Kinard, don't change. For love or money, don't change."
Day 6-Grievance
"Okay, Bruiser, what the hell is your grievance today?" Tommy looked at his dog and frowned.
Bruiser was sitting on the arm of the couch, growling at Tommy every time he tried to pick up the remote to start their movie. Their snacks were laid out, and even a dish for water for Bruiser was on the coffee table. Everything was in place for their night of movies before the pizza got there.
Tommy hit play, and Bruiser jumped off the arm and rammed into Tommy's arm.
"The hell." Tommy paused the movie and looked at his dog.
Only to realize the damned soft bed was an inch off where Bruiser liked it beside Tommy.
"Damned diva dog."
Extra-Dosed
"You are getting dosed, and you'll like it."
Tommy glared at where Bruiser was trapped in the kitchen with the baby gate. He should feel like a mean person for being so big and looming over the dog, but it was just a damned pill to help with the dog's UTI after Bruiser had played in cat poop on a walk. Tommy had been chatting with a neighbor and didn't see until he was covered in poop.
Getting on his knees, Tommy caught Bruiser and held out the pill wrapped in chicken. "Don't spit it out this time."
The chicken was gone a moment later, and the pill was on the floor. Tommy sighed. "Fine. You get cheese."

Jee-Yuns' Playtime
Jee-Yun centric cause she needs love! She's adorable😭, also I'm basing her personality off Lily from Modern Family and the stories of her going to daycare/pre-school and meeting kids whilst getting into mischief. No coherent storyline, just funny tidbits I think would happen when she ultimately goes to school.
After Jee-Yun turned four, Maddie and Chim decided she was ready for preschool(Hen convinced them too). The first few days had been great. The teachers and caretakers were super helpful and reported that she was on her best behavior. Wouldn't fuss when told no and wouldn't throw a tantrum when naptime was supposed to happen.
Everything was great. Till it wasn't. Which, okay, Maddie and Chim were dramatic, but to be fair they didn't expect her to be an imp this early. At least in front of others.
"She what?"
"She put a kid in time out." Mrs.Niamh answered smiling humorously.
"How?/Why?" The Buckley-Han parents wondered. Smiling brighter, trying not to laugh, Mrs.Niamh replied.
"He tried putting glitter on the floor and she caught him. Walked opposite of the room, yanked the glitter bottle out of his hands, and said, 'You'll get it back when you stop trying to sparkle the room! Go in the book corner!'." Makes sense. Jee-Yun hated glitter. It offended her to the core. One time Maddie tried putting some glitter in her fair for a small party with the firehouse crew and Jee ran to the garden hose and sprayed the glitter out of her hair.
Other parents would be mad, obviously, but Maddie couldn't help but be impressed that she efficiently undid her tight hair and didn't get her clothes wet. Gotta recognize the tenacity I guess.
-------------------------------------------
"Mason was crying today."
"Oh no, how come?"
"Someone put sand in his hair." The dead tone in her voice was surprisingly enjoyable for the adults. Especially with something random or just outright sad. She was like Lily from Modern Family. Except, not a little bitch. No shade to her though, she's iconic.
"Awh, poor Mason. Did you help him get it out?" The silence was the only answer Maddie received. Raising a brow, Maddie turned slightly to her kid in the living room. Who was sitting on the floor drawing random things on the coffee table. "Jee?"
"I might have, been the one to put it in his hair." Not looking up but slowly coloring the mini poodle she drew. Pursing her lips, Maddie huffed through her nose trying not to break. She needed to set an example.
"Oh. Why?"
"He was in the way." Maddie has a few weaknesses. This was one of them.
-------------------------------------------
Dropping off Jee-Yun and Nia along with the boys at Athena and Bobby's was an idea. Whether it was a good idea was still up to debate between Chim and Buck. Anyway, Christmas was three weeks away and Athena liked to decorate early so they wouldn't stress about it later. So she got Harry, Christopher, Denny, and the girls to help out.
While the Denny worked on the garlands, Chris and Harry helped the girls put the ornaments on the lower part of the tree. Athena was working on the taller bits. Nia was being organized, moving some around if it didn't look proportional in her brain. Jee-Yun on the other hand couldn't care less for symmetry.
Looking down Athena laughed at the scene beneath her. Chris was handing Jee ornaments while she placed them where she wanted. And what she wanted was 9 ornaments on the same branch. Taking a quick picture, Athena sent it to the family group chat and was bombarded with 'awes'.
-------------------------------------------
During Spring the kids were able to go outside and enjoy nature in the backyard of their daycare. Jee-Yun was playing with ladybugs she found in the grass in the corner while the other kids were running around near the jungle gym and swings.
When she felt something hit her head, she rubbed the top of it and looked around. A branch had fallen from the tree in front of her. Looking up at it, Jee-Yun wondered what it would be like to be that high up. So she set out to find out.
Gripping the crevices of the tree as best she could she climbed up without letting any of her teachers notice. Once up to the top she looked around and saw the city buildings in the distance. Yawning, she realized she was tired and leaned backward on the tree closing her eyes. A small nap couldn't hurt, right?
It could be if your dad was a firefighter and your mom was a first responder. When the teacher noticed that the girl with purple shoes wasn't in her favorite corner of the classroom, she immediately informed someone. And that someone called 911. And the person who answered was May.
Who glanced over at Maddie enjoying her lunch peacefully. Yeah no, keep quiet for now till they get someone on it. And that they did, the 118 that is. Chim getting shot was less stressful than this. He was the one who convinced Maddie to leave his little girl at the daycare to relieve the stress on them and the team.
"Chim you gotta focus or you're staying near the truck," Bobby said firmly despite his worries building.
When arriving parents were already picking up their kids. Ignoring the children awing them, they walked over to the teacher who initially reported the missing girl.
"I only noticed till the last 30 minutes, how she slipped my view I don't know. She's always very outspoken!"
This was true. Jee-Yun was a force of nature that the world wasn't ready for.
"The last time I saw her was outside in the back near the jungle gym. I got distracted with other students." Chim didn't blame her, he didn't, but his dad mode was kicking up and he didn't want to be near her right now. Instead, he veered off with Ravi following him to look around the fence to ensure none of it was clipped or open.
As the others called out, Hen looked up at the rustle in the leaves. Getting directly underneath she looked up and saw little feet dangling.
"Jee!" She yelled out multiple times gathering the attention of her team.
"No sarang, ireona!" Chim yelled in Korean waking up the girl successfully. Rubbing her eyes, she looked down and saw her family beneath her.
"Hi, Daddy!"
Breathing out a sigh of relief, the team got the ladder and got her down.
"Wanna explain why you gave your teacher a heart attack by climbing a tree?"
"I wanted to know what it would be like to be a branch. And I was sleepy."
Laughing at her explanation, the teacher thanked them, farewelled the 2/3 Buckley-Han duo, and left. Putting Jee-Yun in the fire truck was a fun car ride back to the station.
When they told the story to Maddie back home, they all laughed while watching Turning Red. Chim couldn't help but compare the girl in overalls to his passionate and blunt daughter.

Warnings: angsty as HELL. I'm sorry in advance 🙏
Rainwater
If you told Scout that he would move out of Manhattan and go to Summerville with his brother, not only lose his brother, but also losing all contact with the people he considered family well...he wouldn't believe you.
He would call you crazy and say that "There is no plausible way that would ever happen." and call it a day.
Unfortunately for him, that was all true. After Egon passed away, he became recluse. Well, more than he already was. He wanted to desperately try to get into contact with his friends again but after some nasty things being said on both sides, mainly between Peter and himself, he knew it was pointless to even think about trying.
So he didn't talk to them again as a result. Hell, he never really talked to many other people anymore. But, it still hurt him to see his friends just leave him all alone after the good times they had spent together.
The only ones he really kept in contact with was his beloved niece Callie and her children Phoebe and Trevor. Though sometimes he could hardly look any of them in the eye. They all reminded him of Egon in some way or another. But he pushed through the pain and loss, then he began to finish what Egon and him started to work on.
With the high risks of Gozer coming back into the picture and possibly destroying life itself, Scout believed that it was up to him and only him to finish things once and for all.
The Ecto drives down a long dirt road that led to a decent sized house in the middle of nowhere. It was a nice sunny day, well it would be nice if the looming rift storm wasn't mocking everyone and spreading a feeling of doom.
In the passengers seat was Phoebe, Trevor was driving while Ray, Peter and Winston were in the backseat. The air was tense.
"Are you sure this will work? That we can convince him?" Treavor asked. Phoebe only sighed and shrugged "I don't know. But it's worth a try." She looks ahead at the house that is getting closer "Besides, either way, we NEED him for this. He and Egon knew more about this situation than we do." The three men in the back just silently nodded, only slightly listening. Winston took it up on himself to break the tension "Well.." he paused "Here's hoping this won't lead to any funerals." He joked trying to lift the mood. He didn't get any responses.
The car parks in front of the house, it was a cozy cottage home with a chain link fence and a gate surrounding the front yard. There was an old fashioned car parked near the side of the home, a doghouse could be seen slightly next to a large shed in the backyard that also had fencing around it.
Everyone gets out and the first thing they hear is a dog barking.
It was a golden retriever, it looked more happy to see people instead of hostile. Treavor smiled knowing who this is and quickly opened the gate and crouched down to start petting the dog while everyone else got in and closed the gate.
"Hey there Rook!" Treavor said while petting the dog's soft fluffy fur "Do you know where your dad is?" He asked. Rook whined in excitement and her tail started to wag as she quickly ran to the front door. She was very intelligent, Scout had trained her well when he got her as a puppy.
The OG Ghostbusters where surprised to see that Scout owned a dog. They never thought he would ever own an animal before.
Vinkman, being the snarky man he is, decided to poke fun at this "Of course he would prefer an animal's company over people's." He said sarcastically as the others rolled their eyes and shook their heads at his antics. "Well, I think it's sweet that he has a dog!" Ray spoke with enthusiasm.
Trevor finds the spare key that was hidden in under the welcome mat that said "Why can't you trust Atoms? Because they make everything up!" on it and unlocked the front door.
Everyone took a deep breath as the door opened and they went inside. Rook ran inside and went to lay down on her dog bed next to the couch that had various chew toys on it.
As the door shut behind them, they took a good look around the living room. There was a small sofa with a coffee table in front of it there were many pages of notes scattered around it. There was a dresser with a small T.V. that was playing a random game show on low volume. There was also an old grandfather clock near a window, the ticking noise was loud compared to anything else. The windows where blocked with blackout curtains, keeping the privacy of anyone inside.
Peter whistled lowly, "Would you look at this boys." He said while pointing at a wardrobe that held Scout's old tan, Ghostbusters uniform on a hanger. It was left unwrinkled, the patches that had the iconic Ghostbusters logo, "Spengler" was still embroidered onto the chest area and a few other patches that Egon had gifted to him that had a stupid science pun on it or some flower or plant ones where slightly faded due to time.
Ray got the other's attention "He still kept it." He said in awe while he pointed to the photo they had all taken together. They were all on the staircase of the firehouse, Winston and Ray where on the near the bottom while Egon and Scout were a few steps above them. Peter was on the ground leaning against the railing with a smug smile on his face. They all looked so happy in the photo. After it was taken Scout said that he looked stupid in that photo, he said he wouldn't keep it but it looks like he changed his mind.
Next to it was another photo, but it was of just Egon and Scout. They were standing side by side, smiling wide while Scout was holding a smoking ghost trap. In a hasty scribble, courtesy of Egon, the words 'Scout's First Catch' was written at the bottom. "And that one too." Winston said while pointing to the photo of the siblings. They all remembered how proud Egon was that day.
Next to the wardrobe, was a display case that gave anyone a full view of his protron pack. Surprisingly, it was still in a functioning condition and it looked like a few parts were repaired and replaced with newer more 'modern' technology.
The group was broken out of their thoughts when a loud thud came from the room upstairs, followed by a loud and slightly muffled 'FUCK'.
They all slowly made their way up the stairs until they got to a door that had signs that said 'keep out' or 'do not disturb' on them. They all look at each other and Phoebe knocks on the door.
"It's open!" The slightly muffled voice shouted. She opens the door and they boys are shocked at what they see. On the walls, there are various equations, diagrams, graphs and charts sloppily pinned to numerous bulletin boards.
A few tables where filled with various scrap parts and books. Though what shocked them the most was the state that Scout was in. He was hunched over the work desk, scribbling furiously on the paper and sometimes turning his attention to the new ghost trap he was working on. His hair was decently grey and from what they could see right now, he had grown out a short bear due to the obvious lack of proper grooming.
He was also wearing a loose fitting pair of sweatpants and a large T-shirt that looked too big for him.
They all slowly walk over to him, and they took a better look at him. His once healthy skin was now pailer, his eyes were tired and slightly sunken in due to a lack of a stable sleep schedule. He more or less looked like a zombie, but a tad bit more functional.
The man in front of the senses their presence, he clears his throat "It's rude to stare you know?" Scout says in his classic monotonic tone. His voice was slightly scratchy due to a lack of use.
Phoebe nervously picks at her fingers and takes a deep breath "Grunkle Scout?" She asked timidly. He hums in response as he was still focused more on the trap. Phoebe looks to Treavor and he takes over for her "We have some people who want to see you." Scout scoffs, his annoyance clearly showing through "If it's the cops again tell them I'm..." He turns around in his chair and when he sees the other three Ghostbusters, he stops talking. His expression falls falt as he looks at his Grand Niece and Nephew "Phoebe....Treavor..." He points to the trio "What are they doing here?" He hisses, not wanting to see them.
The boys flinch at the harsh tone so Ray tries to start the conversation, "Scout, listen I know you are upset-" "Upset is an understatement Stantz. But go on." Scout cuts off his former friend but signals him to continue. They all cringe when he uses Ray's last name instead of just calling him Ray.
"But, we really need your help with this." He pleaded "Please. I know we all didn't leave on the...best of terms..." He paused looking for the right words to say "But you know the most about what is happening out there. So please, we will do anything! Anything at all to have you help us." He begged.
The room fell silent, the tension was building as Scout thought up a response. He got up from his chair slowly, and approached them as he got up close and personal. There was hard silence as everyone braced for whatever was about to be said.
A stone cold look was on his face and his eyes were unreadable. They haven't seen him like this since college.
"No."
It was a short and quiet response. But to everyone else, it was the loudest thing in the room. Phoebe and Trevor were internally panicking. Winston and Ray held the most sadness in their eyes, but Peter...Oh boy Peter was pissed. And in classic Venkman fashion, he wasn't going to keep his mouth shut.
"So, let me get this straight." He started pointed to Scout "You. Are going to just let Gozer come in here and casually destroy the entire universe?" Scout only crossed his arms, not budging on his words.
Peter scoffed and shrugged "And for what? To be petty and bitter?" He continues to poke and prod hoping to get a response.
"Peter." Winston tried to stop him before it escalated to far "No!" Peter shouted startling everyone except Scout. He knew he would throw some sort of tantrum, he expected as much. "Im not gonna take 'no' as a good answer!" He grabbed the collar of Scout's shirt tightly. Despite the hight difference he had a pretty good grip on him.
"I want you to give me a good reason why." He said while slightly shaking the younger man, slightly getting in his face while he talked.
Scout's face contorted with anger as he harshly yanked Peter's hands off of him. He was pissed. He took a long shaky breath as he tried to compose himself "You want a real answer?" He asked rage slowly coating each word. "I'll give you a good reason." He said while he started to pace "First off, you called us crazy when we said that there was a high probability of Gozer coming back." He waved his arms around while he talked. He was an animated talker no matter what "Second off," he abruptly stopped pacing and pointed at his three former colleagues "You! You all left me alone when I needed you the most!" He shouted. His emotions overwhelming him "I was so scared, when Egon died. I wanted...no...NEEDED someone to turn to but NO!" He started to shout. He was getting emotional, all the stress, grief and rage he had collected over the years coming out all at once
"I NEEDED YOU! I NEEDED THE PEOPLE WHO I TRUSTED THE MOST! AND WHAT DO YOU DO?!" At this point tears where sliding down his face "YOU LEFT ME! THAT'S...That's what you did." He finished his rant. Furiously wiping away the tears of rage, anger and sadness from his face. He didn't like crying in front of people.
He was shaking, crying and on the verge of a panic attack. The boys where stunned at the amount of emotion he had shown. Not in a million years did they think that Scout Spengler was capable of showing this much emotion all at once.
Scout took a shaky breath and slouched slightly "So there. There's your reasons why." He whispered. Any other words being said where interrupted by the violent shake in the ground.
Everyone looked out of the windows of the attic to see the ever growing storm was rapidly growing. Rook was heard barking and whining in distress downstairs. "Dear God." Scout whispered in disbelief. His glasses slightly fogged up from all of the tears.
"What's going on out there?" Winston asked. Scout's focus was on the source of the storm "The portal is opening. All defences have been broken through." He said hastily while running his hands through his long messy hair in distress.
He thought for a moment then sighed "Fine, I'll help." Everyone sighed of relief "But I'm not doing it for you." He looked at his former friends "I'm doing it for them." He motioned twaords Phoebe and Trevor.
Though there was a small part of him that was doing it for the three of them as well, even if he wouldn't say so.
He still cares about them, even after all this time, and all they went through to get to this point.

| MASTERLIST |
~
When Stiles wakes up during the day he notices Julia passed out in the chair next to the hospitable bed. She looked so peaceful yet uncomfortable as she used three chairs total to sleep. The main chair for her head and two out from the hall for her hip and feet. Melissa even gave her an extra pillow and blanket since she refused to leave.
"She's been here all night and morning." Noah walks in to check in on his.
"She's been here since last night?" Stiles looks back over at her not waking up from their voices.
"She refused to leave your side, Stiles. How much she cares about you... You mean a lot to her." Noah looks over at her now, "I'm not surprised she beat Melissa and Rafael to where you were." Noah looks back over at Stiles, "She said you knew she could find you."
"I remember that part. And I remember feeling relieved when I left Melissa's touch going into Julia's." Stiles sits up looking down at his hands, "I was terrified dad."
"I know. They're gonna start running tests on you now that you're awake. See what's going on with you." Noah lets him know, "I'll let them know you're awake now." Noah leaves the room so Stiles looks over at Julia.
While just taking her in Stiles thinks back to when they first started getting close, about how he said there was just something about her. He still didn't full understand what it was but he was scared to lose her because he knew he wouldn't find in anyone else. There was something about her he also needed but it wasn't something about her at all. It was just her.
"Julia," He whispers her name trying to slowly wake her up, "Julia." He says slightly louder waking her up.
"Huh? What? Something wrong?" She sits up rubbing her eyes.
"Why are you still here?" He shakes his head at her.
"Because I can. Do you want me to leave?" She asks getting up walking over to the bed to lean against it.
"Not really but I hate that you are in an uncomfortable position. You spent hours there."
"And honestly I don't care because I'm here for my friend." She gives him a look then smiles, "Don't worry about me, really."
"Then you shouldn't worry about me either." He grabs her hand pulling her to sit on the bed next to him.
"Our situations are very different." She laughs leaning into his side as he puts an arm around her to hug her.
"That's very true but still that's entirely uncomfortable. Next time just get in the bed and push me over to make room for you."
"I don't want there to be a next time." She tilts her head up to look at him.
"I don't either." He sighs.
For the rest of the day they start the little tests on Stiles and later in the day Scott shows up in time for the MRI.
The doctor explains how the Magnetic Resonance Imaging device will be very loud as it takes pictures of Stiles brain. The noise is from the electrical pulses through metal coils that will be surrounding him inside the tube-like device.
Stiles confesses to Scott that the tests are looking for frontotemporal dementia which is the same illness that killed his mother. Stiles accurately describes the incurable disorder in which areas of your brain begin to shrink. Scott tells if Stiles has it he will do something implying that he will attempt to cure him.
The boys hug each other for a good moment before breaking it, "Come on, Julia." Scott grabs her hand to lead them out of the room but Stiles grabs her other hand.
"Don't forget your hug." He pulls her away from Scott into a hug, "Don't worry about me please." He whispers in her ear, "I don't want to see you cry." He adds before leaning back to give her a sad smile, "Promise me."
"I won't cry since you asked." She chuckles so he kisses her forehead before she leaves with Scott.
"I should have kissed her again..." Scott hears Stiles whisper to himself as the two leave the room.
In the waiting area, Julia sees the look on Scott's face making her laugh at him, "What's the shocked face for?"
"Huh?"
"What's the face for?" She asks trying to get comfortable in a seat.
"I hear Stiles whisper something." He takes his seat looking at her.
"What? Him saying he doesn't want to see me cry?" She asks confused why he would have that reaction to that.
"No, when we were both leaving the room."
"Oh, what did he say?" She asks curious now.
"He wanted to kiss you again." He hears her heart start to race, "When have you two kissed?"
"It was to help him out with a panic attack when all the parents were taken and you went off." She tells him, which was true.
"So just once then?"
"Yeah," She nods her head.
"Is something going on between you two or? Anything happen after Danny's party?" He asks her trying to get her to say the whole truth.
"Nothing happened after the party." She tells the truth again.
"Well something happened between you two because I can tell." He gives her a look, "Just tell me. I'm y'all's friend."
"Fine, we've kissed a few times." She gives in and wasn't gonna tell him about them getting together.
"A few?" He says surprised.
"Yes, a few times but nothing is going on between us. We're still just friends." She lets him know before getting up to leave and bumps into Derek who asks about Scott so she tells him where he is.
When leaving the bathroom she stops by the vending machine to get a snack, "We're going to destroy all of them." Julia looks around to see where that came from but no one was around her.
Suddenly the lights in the hospital flicker off and on making people panic. Calmly she turns a corner and gets startled by Stiles standing here looking down at her.
"What the hell?" She eyes him up and down confused why he was dressed and not in the room still.
"Quicker than we thought." He chuckles and the look in his eyes made Julia stare at him.
"Where's your dad and Melissa?"
"Busy looking at results and stuff. Ready to go?" He reaches for her hand.
"Go where? Stiles what's going on?" She asks then hears Noah's voice calling out Stiles name so she turns around.
"Trust me." He pulls out the syringe and injects the medicine into the side of her neck causing her to pass out. He catches her then picked her up leaving the hospital with her.
"What do you mean Julia is missing as well?" Lydia gets loud as Scott and Derek catch her up and let her know.
"We couldn't find her just like Stiles." Derek tells her.
"So what you're saying she left with him voluntarily or?" Lydia asks even louder.
"We don't know. She doesn't know about Stiles being possessed." Scott adds.
"No, with what you said was going on there's no way she just left with him." Lydia tells the two, "How do I explain to our mom she's missing?"
"Say she's staying with a friend for a few nights. I don't know." Derek tells her.
"Not to be rude but would she even notice or has your mom gotten better like you with caring about her?" Scott asks Lydia.
"She's gotten better too, Scott. She still has her moments but Julia is still her daughter." Lydia glares at him.
Scott drops the topic, "Just don't worry about her. I'm sure she can take care of herself against him."
"You saw what he did Scott. Julia can't take care of herself. And if she didn't willing leave with him then he did something to her." Derek turns to him.
"He's right Scott." Lydia sighs.
"Stiles wouldn't hurt her."
"This isn't Stiles though, Scott. We have no idea what the Nogitsune will do to her. All we can do is hope he wouldn't do anything to her." Derek tells him.
-
It's been a day since Stiles went missing with Julia and Lydia was getting worried but keeping calm around their mom. No one still had no idea where the two were.
At the moment, Julia was lying down groaning as she wished for the screams in her head to stop. The Nogitsune was keeping her half awake half sleep so she wouldn't remember much. He wanted to know how much pain he was going to cause with his traps and luckily Julia could feel the pain that was to come in the future.
"Ahh, I can see why Stiles likes you." He moves hair out of Julia's face as she frowns with her eyes closed moving around. "You are beautiful."
"Stiles," Julia whines still mostly asleep.
"We're right here, Julia. You have nothing to worry about." He plays with her hair, "You might be useful in more than one way." He studies her face, "Oh, what else can I do with you?"
For a few hours he watches her sleep waiting for her to wake up the Nogitsune lets Stiles back in control of his body slightly as Julia wakes up confused about where they were and what happened.
"Where are we?" She sits up feeling weak from the medicine he's been injecting her with to keep her asleep.
"Don't worry about it." He tells her.
"Okay, well what the hell happened?" She looks over at him.
"I don't remember much."
Julia thinks back the best she could to remember what happened at the hospital, "The last thing you told me was to trust you... Why do I have a feeling you're lying to me?" She asks him.
"Because I slightly am..." He looks down at the floor, "I didn't bring you here." He looks up at her and slowly the look on his face changes into a smile, "Because I did."
Julia looks at him like he was crazy, "What the hell are you talking about Stiles?"
"Stiles isn't he anymore." He tells her, "Julia, you're smart... What are evil foxes called?"
"Void Kitsune or Nogitsune. A dark spirit. Why? And what the hell is going on? Where are we?!" She shouts at him.
"And they fed on chaos, strife, and pain. Correct?" He asks her.
"Yes..."
"And they can possess others so put together the pieces sweetheart." He leans closer to her and she leans back getting it now.
"Why am I here? What happened at the hospital?" She crawls back to move away from him.
"I damaged the wiring on the roof the previous night... Which caused some some chaos to erupted. Someone hit a fire hydrant so water plus a lose electoral cord caused about three people to get electrocuted. One being Isaac." He explains to her, "Also you're here to help me."
"Like I would help you."
"You can't help it because it's what you are Julia. I already know what I'm working on will work thanks to your power while you were out." He smiles standing up, "Speaking of... Time to go back to sleep." He moves towards her so she tries to fight him away from her but he was way stronger.
"STOP IT!" She keeps trying to keep the needle away from her.
His left hand grabs a good chunk of her hair tugging it to make her head lean back making her whines in pain, "Hopefully next time you wake up Stiles will be back to normal." He leans closer to her face as tears form in her eyes, "Let them fall for me Julia." He chuckles tugging on her hair harder causing the tears to fall.
She wasn't crying just from the pain but also because she was terrified of Void especially now that he moved his hand from her hair to her throat. She dug her nails in to his arm still trying to keep the needle away from her.
"You're so pretty when you cry." He smiles before he leans all the way his licking the one of the tears off her cheek before using injecting her to fall asleep.

Emo Boy(Choso Kamo x Reader) Chapter 8
Masterlink
3 days later I heard from Choso, and he was not doing great.
"Choso!" I gasped, opening my door to see my boyfriend frantically crying and panicking, hyperventilating and overall looking like a mess. I started rushing to the door as soon as I got a sense of his aura. "Baby, come inside, come here." I said, guiding him in quickly, Livi was at school right now, so we were alone at the moment. I guided him to my bedroom, getting him under the covers quickly and taking my shirt off, putting his head on my chest, his hands on my back as I sat up slightly, cradling him in my arms, wrapping us both in the covers as tight as I could. He was so scared and terrified is was almost palpable.
"Shh, its okay baby. You're okay, you're home now." I said, my heart breaking at his sobs of panic, clinging to me like I was his lifeline. I took his messy hair down, softly running my fingers through his hair, massaging his scalp slightly to try and calm him down. I sat there with him, rubbing his back and petting his hair, kissing his head softly, just trying to calm his cries that hurt so much to hear.
"I love you, baby. I love you so, so much." I told him, kissing his forehead as he sniffled, I offered him a tissue from the box on my beside table, his hand trembling as he took one and wiped his runny nose from his crying. His eyes were red from his tears, his lips trembling still as he slowly stopped crying, burying his face in my chest before without a word sitting up and taking his own shirt off, moving to go back to how be was, before he tugged gently at my bra, looking down at me, his eyes still watery. I smiled gently and took the bra off, tossing it aside as he settled back into the same position with his head on my chest, his hands behind my back and mine on him.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked after a few moments of his sniffles slowing, now he was chewing on his thumb making me frown. He shook his head and I nodded, laying my head back down as I gave him a small squeeze. "Okay, just know that I love you." I told him, he kissed my chest, right over my heart where he was listening.
"I love you too." He mumbled, another few moments passing before I gently try to get him to stop chewing on his thumb, only for him to them latch his lips onto one of my nipples, startling me. I was going to pull him off, before realizing him doing this was better then crying or chewing his thumb any redder then he already had. I was worried he was going to make himself bleed if I didn't stop him. It was kind of strange feeling, with this not being done in a sexual way, but I also oddly didn't mind. I do hope he didn't make this a habit though, not really a technique I could apply to any situations he's panicking in aside from here at home.
I eventually fell asleep, muttering one last, 'I love you, baby' to him before drifting off as he kept up his self soothing actions.
------------Choso's POV------------
I didn't sleep, only able to think about Zoey and what I'd been told of the plan for her. Kenjaku wants to do another experiment.
He wants to see if a half curse can reproduce, so he can then try to use those children as well in his evil schemes.
"What would happen if I didn't want to force her to bare a child like you want?" I asked, feeling slightly nervous as a lump was in my throat, truly fearful of the answer for my sake. Kenjaku chuckled and gave me a sinister look that I will never forget for as long as I live.
"Then I suppose Ill just have to take her myself and do what you wont."
Mahito wouldn't stop the taunting me afterwards, telling me all about more details of what will happen if I doesn't comply. Kenjaku would kidnap Zoey, and make me watch and listen as he raped her, over and over until she bared a child for him, if she even could. I couldn't close my eyes without picturing her screams because of him. His stupid shape shifting abilities. I hoped Mahito wasn't right about how your screams sounded; it was as if the cursed spirit was trying to break him like a twig, messing with his head so much within the span of 24 hours.
I had only asked yesterday, and after that, I couldn't stop the spiral of thoughts. They wouldn't stop coming and I didn't know what to do. I came here when it got to much, which is how i got here now, Zoey's soft breasts on my face, one in my mouth as I cried like a baby. I pulled back after a moment, looking at her peaceful face as she slept.
I needed to protect her. I couldn't let him touch her..
My eyes dropped to her smooth tummy, one of my hands caressing it as I imagined her with my child, though the image was now tainted, knowing as soon as Kenjaku found out about any child, they'd be taken and used as a weapon. i couldn't let that happen. I just couldn't.
-----------Zoey's POV------------
Waking up that afternoon to Choso's head between my legs was not what I expected, however when he has my thighs over his shoulders, his tongue already making a mess by smearing his saliva and my juices all over, his lips sucking on my clit when I grabbed a fist full of his hair; how was I supposed to tell him off? I arched my back and moaned, thighs trying to squeeze around his head only to be pried apart by Choso's strong hands, letting him stuff his face more of just me, his own whines and groans sounding out, his hips rolling into the mattress. I threw the blanket off of him, revealing his face literally shoved in my cunt, his nose rubbing my clit as I shook.
"C-Choso! Fuck, baby.." I moaned, grinding down on his face as I felt my whole body twitching under him. My head was so dizzy from this, I had only been asleep for a short while, but fuck was I disoriented. "Baby, I'm gonna-" I couldn't stop myself as I shook, squirting in his face as he only growled, using his hands to pull my hips closer. My eyes were rolled back, and I couldn't stop twitching with every touch, tugging at his hair and trying to pull away when it was getting too much, more of my arousal gushing from me as he pushed me over and over again into heart stopping orgasms. It wasn't until I was whimpering for him that he relented, pulling away from my lips as he stared up at me, still twitching slightly from my aftershocks. He was kneeling between my open legs, his angry and painfully hard cock in his hand, cum already having coated his shaft after fucking himself with the mattress. He was whimpering as he looked at me softly.
"You make me so happy.." Choso sighed, his hand moving up and down slowly, my eyes watching as his tip pulsed in his hand, already starting to leak more cum. "You make me feel so good. I love touching you.. I love when you touch me." He whined, his eyes closing before shooting open when I tried to sit up.
"No, no, no no no no, don't get up." He said, pushing me back gently as I bit my lip. "Wanna look at you, wanna see her so wet f'me.." He said, his eyes trained on my folds when I looked up at him through my lashes, my hand slowly reaching down to rub my clit, his eyes widening as he watched me, his fist on him moving slightly faster.
"Fuck, I love you.. You're so pretty, so sweet, so perfect." He groaned, watching as I moaned, my fingers teasing my sopping entrance, my other squeezing my breast.
"I love you too.." I moaned, gasping out when his second hand was pulling me closer, his cock inches away from my entrance as his hand caressed my skin, guiding my hand to fuck me deeper. "Fuck, I love you so much.." I cried, following his guide even after his hand moved to rub my clit, my thighs twitching as he pumped his cock faster, his eyes rolling back as he saw my head thrown back in pleasure.
"Baby.. m'gonna cum, oh fuck, oh god!" He cried, my hand grabbing him as I pointed his tip straight at my entrance, Choso wasting no time in stuffing his cock into me once he felt the warmth on his tip. He grabbed my hips roughly, his brows furrowed together, teeth gritting as he came, thrusting into me a few times as he cried out a whimper, my own moans mixing with his in the air. He didn't pull out of me this time after we were done though, pulling me to stay on his cock as he buried his face in my neck. "I asked him." He said after a few moments of catching his breath, feeling water hit my skin as Choso's tears seemed to catch back up with him, his nose buried in my hair as I hold him close, pulling the blanket over us again as I was finally sensible enough to feel the extreme fear, sadness and guilt from his aura.
"What did he say baby?" I asked softly, mind still reeling but I knew he needed me right now.
"He-he wants us to make a b-baby so he can use it." He said and I could feel my blood run cold. Kenjaku wants him to get me pregnant, just to steal the baby? What the fuck is this? Some like of sick fairytale story? "He said if I didn't put a baby in you, he would." He sobbed, my arms tightening around him as I tried to shush him, petting his hair, kissing his neck, anything I could think of. I could feel his fear. He was truly terrified, and it broke my heart. I knew we had to make a plan to get out of Kenjaku's reach, but that probably meant playing into his plan.. oh boy. This is gonna be risky as hell, but fuck it. I haven't got anything bigger then him and Livi in my life right now. If this keeps Choso and Liv safe and in my life, Ill figure out how to get us all out of this in the end, even if we end up adding another life into that mix.
I moved my hand from Choso, reaching down to my thigh as he paused in his crying, looking at my hand as I touched my birth control patch. He stared at the small plastic square before turning to me with wide, tearful eyes as I cupped his face in my other hand.
"We are not giving him any of our children. We'll figure something out before he can ever touch any child of ours." I said firmly, Choso's face flushing as he realized what I was saying his aura calming, though his fear still remain ever present, even if he tried not to show it.
"So.. how are we going to do this?" He asked and I smiled, kissing his nose.
"We may have to play along for a while.. meaning we may need to.. actually, make a baby." I said, Choso's face flushing deeper, his pupils dilating as his cock pulsed. "Would you be okay with this?" I asked him, getting an immediate and eager nod from him, his hands gripping me tight, aura pulsing with excitement and arousal. He watched eagerly as I tore the patch from my thigh, his hand immediately moving to caress the newly exposed skin.
"I cant wait to see you with our baby.." He mused, looking up at me as I smiled, kissing his cheek making him pout. "That's it?" He asked making me giggle, rolling my eyes as I kissed his forehead, then his nose, then finally his lips, a smile spreading on both of our faces.
"Now, as much as I'd love to make that baby right now, I think Liv will be home from school soon." I said, seeing him pout before nodding, the both off us getting up and dressed. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled, leaning into him. "Now, try to relax. We will figure this out, and at least Kenjaku doesnt want to hurt me, and we should have plenty of time if hes waiting for me to get pregnant. Human fertility is tricky enough for humans as is." I said, Choso furrowing his brows at that as he wrapped me in his arms, his clothes back on when I realized he was dressed in the same strange clothes as when I had first met him. How does he seem to look good in everything?
"Wait, so.. you wont.. be getting pregnant anytime soon?" He said, slightly frowning. I could feel the slight disappointment from him, but could also feel a great sense of relief.
"Its okay if youre disappointed, baby." I told him, smiling softly as he looked at me with eyes cuter then a puppy, a sad but thankful smile on his face. "We can have our happy family one day, we just have to make sure we're all safe when that happens." I told him softly, holding his face close as he teared up.
"I love you." He said, voice quiet as if afraid to say it even though hes said it before. I smiled and pulled him down for a soft kiss.
"I love you too." I mused, backing up to take his hand in mine. "Now, I've gotta start on dinner. Do you want to help me?" I asked him, getting an eager nod from him making me giggle, leading him to the kitchen where we started on dinner, waiting for Livi to return.

Feathers and Flames
Darkness Before the Dawn
Moonrise
🌒🌟🌘
"Alright, everyone, this is Oracle. She's a rookie pro who recently moved to Kyushu from the States. The agency where she completed her last internship asked the Commission to help her get settled, and I graciously offered my assistance when they contacted me. Let's make her feel at home."
"Thank you. It's an honor to be working with all of you." Himitsu bowed to the small group, fighting the urge to smack the man next to her. Most people wouldn't notice it, but she caught the irritating undertone in his voice that he always had when he teased her.
It'd been more than a year and a half since she first met the Wing Hero. They hadn't spent a lot of time together, especially during the first year, but now, she had more of the bird's time than she wanted. Not only did the H.P.S.C. assign her to Hawks' agency, they also moved her into his apartment.
Both of them argued against the decision for a dozen different, perfectly rational, reasons, but the Commission's lack of trust in her overwhelmed their common sense. They wanted her under constant surveillance. She didn't blame them for their suspicion. Her past made her reliability questionable, and while she had no immediate intention of breaking the terms of her "parole", the future was an uncertain thing. She certainly never planned to become a hero.
"Okay. Everyone get back to work now." Hawks chuckled as the others headed to their desks.
Their words were polite when they welcomed her, smiling with a practiced ease, but she questioned their sincerity. It was unlikely a single one of them was happy to have her there. Why would they be? Her arrival was an intrusion. She was a source of competition, and with how closely she'd be forced to work with Hawks, at least a few members of the agency would have an issue with her.
"Not you, newbie." Hawks winked as Himitsu began to walk away. He nodded towards his office door. "I have some paperwork I need you to look over and sign."
"Of course."
She forced a smile and followed him. The office was well-kept but lacked personality. There were no photographs, no decorative pieces that matched his style. A few framed pictures of the city and a newspaper article from the agency's opening hung on the walls, but she suspected Hawks hadn't put them there. The only detail that leant any warmth to the room was a cork board to the left of the desk with a collection of hand-drawn pictures and letters, mostly scrawled in crayon.
The moment the door closed, she turned on him. "You're insufferable."
"Geez, kid. What'd I do *now*?"
He smirked and stepped around her as he headed towards a desk of glass and chrome. It held only a laptop and a penholder, positioned so perfectly that she was sure they'd never been moved. The back wall was a picture window with a striking view of the skyline. Several buildings stood tall around the city, their windows reflecting the colors of the rising sun. There wasn't a single smudge to mar the sight. and the chair he pulled out didn't have even one crease in the black leather.
"Do you even do any work here?"
Hawks leaned back, hands folded behind his head, and laughed. "You seem a little testy. There's no need for first day jitters. I'm a laid back boss, and I couldn't fire you if I wanted to. You can't beat that kind of job securoty."
Himitsu wondered how the events would unfold if she strangled him. The Commission probably wouldn't take it well, ending her pro hero career before it began. *Double win.* The idea held promise, but as usual, her aversion to spending the remainder of her life in Tartarus acted as an effective deterrent against potential bad decisions.
"You're loving this, aren't you?"
"Whaaat?"
His look of feigned innocence made her reconsider the necessity to show restraint. The prison would provide a roof over her head and three meals a day. She could spend the remainder of her life reading and writing. Maybe she'd even publish an autobiography and give the world an in-depth description of the one hundred and one ways their beloved number two hero was a massive jerk...
*Gotta get a grip.*
"Laid back says the guy who had a fit the other night when he couldn't find the television remote."
"I needed to check the weather conditions for our upcoming patrol."
"It was just between the couch cushions for crying out loud."
"And whose fault was that?"
"You act like I threw it off the balcony. Besides, you own a phone. Two, if I recall correctly. You could've used one of them."
"I also own a television."
"Again, you're awfully stubborn for someone who's claiming to be "laid back"."
"There wouldn't be a problem if you just learned to put the remote back."
"I'm going to tell the Commission you suck as a boss and demand a transfer."
"Based on what grounds?"
"I could always claim sexual harassment. You had a pair of my panties on your dresser."
Hawks grinned. "Only because I found them on my bathroom floor. Want to explain that one?"
"Not particularly." Himitsu huffed, crossing her arms over her chest and allowing her irritation to mask her embarrassment. He had a lot of nerve. It was true she used his bathroom in the rare instances when he wasn't home. The shower and bath were huge, built to accommodate his wings; the room had ambient lighting and surround sound; and the picture window next to the tub offered a breathtaking view of the city. Her bathroom was nice, but his was *luxurious*. She refused to feel guilty for indulging once in a while.
"When were you in my room anyhow?"
"Last night. It's not my fault. One of your tee shirts was in my laundry."
"When? I was home all night..."
"You were in the shower and - Wait. Why were you keeping them?"
"Keeping..." For the first time, the hero looked flustered. He put up his hands and shook his head. "H-hey, no! Don't go getting the wrong idea. I put them down to answer the phone and forgot -"
"Uh-huh. Likely story." Himitsu grinned. His sincerity was obvious, but she couldn't resist the rare opportunity to throw him off balance. "I'm really not one to judge, but honestly, Birdie, you of all people shouldn't have to resort to such scandalous measures. I'm sure you've got girls lined up around the block."
Hawks stared at her for a long moment. One brow raised. He started to say something then stopped, chuckling. "Fair enough, but maybe you should stay out of my bathroom then."
"Not happening, hero. There's a towel warmer in there." Himitsu gave him her brightest smile then turned on a heel and left the office.
He called after her, but she ignored him, closing the door a little harder than necessary. If he needed something that badly, he'd come after her, but she needed to put some space between them, even for just a few moments, to breathe and center herself. The whole interaction - the whole morning - had her on edge.
Their banter was nothing new. It happened almost daily. Either he'd eaten her leftovers or she'd fallen asleep on the couch with the television on. Again.
Living together was awkward. She had her own room and her own bathroom, but sometimes the spacious apartment felt suffocating. The conditions of her "freedom" stated that she was only allowed to leave the building when accompanied by Hawks or another designated member of the Commission, so the only times she wasn't being watched were when she was alone at home and when she got separated from the hero while capturing villains.
She'd traded one prison for another.
The other agency members regarded her with curiosity as she wound her way through the office to the cubical that would serve as her workspace between patrols. She'd study files and do paperwork when she wasn't protecting the masses from the bad guys. She dropped into the chair with a sigh, trailing her fingertips along the edge of the desk. Hopefully, if there was some divine force in the universe, it was having a good laugh at her expense.

you always find a way to surprise me. / slade this time
flirting prompts . accepting
Only a gentleman at heart wouldn't take Melissa's actions upon their first meeting personally - the barmaid had not just harassed Slade, but also accused him of things he had no part of and also assaulted the man, even if the attack had been clumsy and subdued fast. The woman still lacked a complete picture of just who he was - but the quick reflexes, the eyepatch and his low profile all pointed to something that was likely beyond her usual channels and means.
The fact that he didn't like coming around her place also alluded to some complicated past with law enforcement or the questionable clientele that she was familiar with. Melissa still wasn't quite sure why Slade indulged her - after everything, he had indeed offered his real phone contact details.
And more than that - the guy had accepted the occasional drink invitation and treated the barmaid with respect. Just what was his deal? Why did he look so terribly lonely? The place they had met was a far cry from a decent location for meeting new people, and the questions surrounding Slade made Melissa just terribly curious, interested and very much unwilling to stop the calls and texts.
That night, she had insisted for him to visit her own place - 'It's going to be different tonight', the message said, a plea for Slade to make an exception and drop by the Killer Queen. And when he did do it - ever a man of his word where theirs outings were concerned - there was no one else there.
Not even kitchen staff - everyone was dismissed by the proprietress, and Melissa was handling the place herself. It was closed to the regulars for one evening, just to give Slade the room and the peace of mind that he wouldn't see anyone who he disliked for whatever reasons. Melissa was leaning against the pool table of the bar, a chief item of her establishment, and grinning when he walked inside and realized just what the 'difference' about the place was.
"You always find a way to surprise me," he said, dark eyes roaming around her business for the first time, almost as if scanning and filing details for later examination. He didn't take long with that visual inspection, though - Slade was quick to turn his gaze to Melissa and to approach her with the ghost of a smile on his face and halting steps closer to the barmaid.
"I have to keep things interesting. Although I try to avoid jumping you in the streets these days," the joke was simply too good to be discarded, after all. Chuckling, Melissa nodded towards the empty tables, offering Slade a wink, "I don't know why you don't like coming here, but I won't ask. You have been nothing but decent to me and that's enough," the barmaid sentenced, what was both curious and potentially dangerous. Melissa worked a small-time intelligence business gig, too - she knew the importance of asking the right questions.
And yet, she was suspending those for him, at least momentarily. Kindness (or understanding) in a life like hers was hard to come by - so what if he was on some secret list of wanted men for unspeakable crimes against some distant government? The guy wasn't a monster to the girls working at the Killer Queen or the owner.
Melissa was content with that.
"I hope you're good at pool? Most of my regulars are horrible and I need to pretend I'm a crappy player to protect their egos. Something tells me I don't need to do that to you," the brunette winked for good measure, then forced herself away from the table to discard her jacket and pin the long hair with a common pen, as if preparing for war... Or at least, a fair battle this time, with both sides aware of the rules.
"Wanna go first and break it?" Melissa asked while grabbing the cue sticks, "You're the guest of honor tonight."

Pre relationship: 2, 5, 7
Love: 2, 11, 13
For Maiko and Mitsuya? 🖤🖤🖤
Ah my favorite couple! I'm hyperfixating on them too much lately so thank you for sending this ask!!
Pre relationship
2. What was their first impression of each other?
That's funny because I'm currently working on chapter 2 of Break Away and I'm at the part where they're meeting for the first time haha!
So Maiko's first impression of Mitsuya is that he is not what she pictured when Yoko told her she knew a guy who could help sew up her leotard. She pictured a pretty average every day boy who was clean cut to be the one sewing up the hole, not a boy who looked like a delinquent but also had the kindest smile she ever saw. She felt calm around him once he started talking to her and she enjoyed hearing his knowledge on the stitching and fabric that was used on her leotard.
Mitsuya's first impression of Maiko was a little taken aback. He had this flustered girl who was talking almost a mile a minute and looked like the hole in her leotard was the end of the world. But once she calmed down and they started talking he saw a girl who was kind and polite, but something about her seemed stiff. Like she was relaxed after her frantic explanation of the situation, but she still seemed like she wasn't relaxed. But that could also have been the nerves from her upcoming ballet audition.
5. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?
Mitsuya absolutely did. He did, but didn't. He liked Maiko once he got to know her and hung out with her more. But he knew she had suitors that her parents were setting her up with and with who she is he didn't think he was worthy of her. He didn't believe that a girl with a rich upbringing like hers would want to date a guy who lived a poor and dangerous life.
7. What would their lives be like if they had never met?
Oh god! Mitsuya's would probably still consist of taking care of his sisters, school and the home ec club, and Toman. Fighting and family and friends.
Maiko's life would still be a very sheltered life. She would never get to experience anything that she did with Mitsuya and the others had she never met him. She'd never get to feel like a normal teenager and she would still be living the strict scheduled life that her parents have set up for her. She'd be married to a man that her parents picked out for her. She'd still be under her parents' thumbs and seen more as a trophy than a daughter. She'd be unhappy and she probably wouldn't even know it until it was too late.
Love
2. What are their primary love languages?
Mitsuya's I can see as words of affirmation because Maiko could totally use that so much. He would definitely be gift giving where he can. Mainly making her anything he thought she'd like and would look good in. He eventually helps her find her own style outside of the outfits her mother demands picks for her to wear. If he can't give her a gift it would definitely be acts of service. I can see him with a little bit of physical touch mixed in. He'd hold Maiko's hand whenever she gets nervous, he's noticed early on in their friendship how she clutches her hands when she's nervous so he grabs it whenever he sees her doing it. I can see him also kissing her hand and forehead as well to help calm her.
Maiko's would be gift giving. She likes to help get Mitsuya the best fabrics and supplies for any of his projects! When they first started hanging out she always offered to pay him and provide the supplies when he helped make her tutus and other dance costumes. Once they started dating she'd still get him those supplies, but then she'd start to see things that would make her think of him. Quality time for sure. She feels so warm and relaxed when she's around Mitsuya and she likes to spend time with him whenever she has the free time in her busy schedule. I also think physical touch would be hers too. Maybe not so much starting out. She's more shy when they start dating, but after a while she gets a little more brave and will hold his hand and kiss his cheek.
11. What are some songs that apply to their relationship, in-universe or otherwise?
I have a whole playlist for this story and them. I'm still adding more songs to it as I develop their relationship and the story, but some of my favorites are Treacherous by Taylor Swift, Love Story by Taylor Swift, Boy Like Me by New Medicine, I Hear a Symphony by Cody Fry, Young Love and Old Money by Elizabeth Gerardi, and Can't Help Falling in Love by Haley Reinhart.
13. Who remembers the little things?
Mitsuya. That's also just a headcanon I have for him in general. I can see him being the one to remember the smallest things. Maiko mentions liking something or wanting to try something for the first time and he'll get her it. Whether it's trying new food or taking her to some new place she's never visited before, he'll remember. He'll even notice the clothes that she looks the most comfortable in while wearing and the colors she likes to wear the most so he can incorporate it all into any clothes he makes her. He even remembers which ballets are her favorites to watch and which are her favorites to perform.
#i love them so much!#this may have given me some inspiration and motivation to start working on Break Away again#thank you for the ask!#oc: maiko kenamoto#mitsuya and maiko#takashi mitsuya#tokyo revengers oc#tokyo revengers#tokrev#tokrev oc#oc#original character

As always many thoughts
He could picture you curled up on his pillow drooling, and it made him smile. But you had to do everything this week without his help, and that made his smile falter. He always tried to alleviate some of your stress by holding Rose when she fussed or walking around with her until she fell asleep. Mostly he was just in love with being a dad and wanted to spend as much time with his daughter as possible.
Bradley loves nothing more than being a dad and husband
It didn't seem to matter where he was standing, Indigo was always nearby, but her questions were pertinent. She seemed like a bit of a teacher's pet, which had never been his style, but to each their own.
I don't like Indigo and Bradley doesn't seem to either, at least her being a teachers pet lol
"Come here," you whispered, picking her up at daycare after work and giving her kisses. "Your godmother is coming over for dinner, and I want you to be on your best behavior. No pooping," you told her as you pushed her through the parking garage in her stroller. She simply laughed at you in response, which was not a great sign.
Oh no, definitely not a good sign 😅 she's probably gonna poop even more out of spite and because it's fun haha
While you tried to drive home, your headache just got worse, and you really didn't now how you were going to handle making dinner. Perhaps you should just start taking some cold medication as a preventative. It wouldn't hurt anything. You changed direction to make a quick stop, because a snack sounded nice, too. Maybe you could coax Rose to go to bed right after Nat left, eat some candy and pass out yourself. At least Bradley wasn't at home to stress you out. Recently, he seemed to put you right on the edge of irritation a lot of the time, and it was nice to get a bit of a break.
Hmm interesting symptoms 🤔
You were pushing the stroller down the last aisle in the drug store when you saw something which made you freeze in place. "No," you whispered, palms starting to sweat along with the rest of you. The vague awareness that you still never got your period after Rose was born washed over you. As soon as you got back from La Jolla, where you were pretty sure Bradley pulled out, you started back on the pill again. But there was no way for you to tell if you were ovulating.
I'm glad she finally caught up to what I've been speculating for chapters 😅🤭
Then her eyes widened briefly when she what you'd purchased at the drug store. But she didn't say a word about the pregnancy tests, and you didn't have the energy to mention it or try to make an excuse.
There was an unspoken deal made right there 🤝🏻
"I figured as much. You've got to keep this little love bug fed and played with and read to all on your own." She sat down on the couch with your daughter in her arms. "I don't understand how something that looks like Bradley can be so adorable. Logically, it doesn't make sense to me."
Never change Nat, never change 😂
Burping Rose and reading her bedtime story were two things your husband readily volunteered to do, but you fumbled your way through both tasks as your heart beat a little faster. You were about to take a pregnancy test. It wasn't that you didn't want to get pregnant again, you just didn't want to get pregnant again right now. Not while your firstborn was still so young, and not when you hadn't been feeling like your normal self again yet. The idea of two babies to care for was also so daunting, you found yourself close to panicking.
This is already a tough situation and Bradley been so far away isn't helping either...
What were you going to do? Bradley would most certainly be pleased if it was positive. He indicated he that he couldn't care less if you were on birth control at all. If the test was negative, you wouldn't even tell him about it. You'd simply take everything out with the trash, and he'd never see it. Unless Nat said something. But you didn't think she would. Especially since you didn't metion any of this to her. That would be breaking girl code. But she was his best friend, so you weren't sure.
1. Bradley would be ECSTATIC
2. I feel like Nat would not break girl code even for Bradley, she might ask some things that direct Bradley to investigate or something on his own but she would ever rather a girl out 🙅🏻♀️ I feel this in my bones!
The fact that this candy bar tasted so good to you was becoming alarming. You could eat about ten of these in a row right now, no problem.
Mood
You desperately needed to stop with the junk food and lose more weight, but you were starting to worry that there was a reason for this as you did some quick math. If you got pregnant in La Jolla, you would be about nine weeks along by now. You almost choked on the chocolate. That was practically the end of the first trimester. Maybe there was a reason you were so fucking bloated.
Yeah my guess is, it's not bloating 🫣
It was also important that he hit the gym again, or maybe go for a long run. The last few times you'd ordered pizza for dinner, he came home and inhaled half of the pie like it was nothing. When he looked in the mirror, there was definitely some more weight hanging around his middle.
YES!! Dadbod Rooster!!!!👏🏻
One dark brow quirked up over her blue eyes. "From your wife?" He nodded slowly, voice deep and raspy when he spoke again. "Yeah. Hopefully my daughter, too." Her gaze lingered on his face as she backed away from him with a soft laugh. "I'll be looking for you at the bar later."
She gives me the ick, please read the room!! She said it herself: his WIFE (& daughter)!! Like for real, get a grip this is embarrassing 😒🙄
Then she was off and running, leaving Bradley squinting into the setting sun and her retreating form. When he picked up his phone, he realized he missed your call again.
Nooo!!! This is giving me really bad vibes 🥴
Aim for the Sky Part 28 | Rooster x Reader
Summary: You start to realize there could be a reason to worry when your exhaustion won't let up. Bradley is so focused on what's happening in Texas, he doesn't even realize he's missing out on what's happening at home.
Warnings: Angst, adult language, body image, DILF Roo
Length: 3200 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader
Aim for the Sky masterlist. This was written to accompany my series Is It Working For You? along with a bunch of my one-shots and other series, but it can be read on its own! Check my masterlist for the reading order.

Texas in August was hot as fuck. And the humidity left Bradley wishing he could jump in a pool. There was no cool, coastal breeze. There was no temperate climate. It was gross. It had him vowing to never move from San Diego for the rest of his life.
"How did I live in Virginia for so long?" he grumbled, getting dressed for his first day on base. He had the air conditioner blasting in his small room in the barracks, but he was still sweating at seven in the morning. He considered texting to see how you and Rose fared overnight without him, but it was even earlier at home, and he didn't want to wake you unnecessarily.
"Shit," he muttered when he checked the time, realizing he needed to get out of here before he was late. As soon as he stepped outside, the heat had him convinced he would sweat through his khaki uniform before he got to meet the rest of the recruits. Well, other than the ones he'd met at the bar the previous night.
LTJG Brooke Jeffries, call sign "Indigo", came to mind right away. It was no wonder how she'd earned her moniker. Her eyes were the most shocking shade of blue he'd ever seen. She tried to buy him a drink before insisting he meet several of the other aviators who were part of the program over at the pool table. Bradley stayed for a little while, careful not to let a single one of them buy him a drink. In fact, he only had the one beer with his dinner which would go directly to his expense report. The last thing he needed was one of them trying to get the upper hand or complaining that he was playing favorites.
With no clear idea of where he needed to go, Bradley wound his way along a few corridors before finding the classrooms. The facility was a lot smaller than those of North Island or even Oceana, but the rigorous training protocol at this particular airbase held a lot of promise. He was almost shocked at times that he'd been selected to decide who would advance to Top Gun.
"Lieutenant Commander Bradshaw!"
Bradley turned toward the voice and was greeted by a few Admirals. After some saluting and some chitchat, he was led to the appropriate classroom, the presence of superior officers silencing everyone in attendance. There were some more introductions before he was given control of the group, and if he was sweating because of the heat a few minutes ago, now it was because of nerves. Shit. He wanted to be as successful as possible in this role.
"Good morning. I'm Lieutenant Commander Bradshaw, and I'll be spending this week observing you in the air as well as reviewing the extensive files that have been compiled for each of you. Out of three dozen aviators in attendence, a maximum of eight will be invited to join the training program at Top Gun in September. I look forward to working with you."
He could feel piercing blue eyes on him as everyone stood, adjusting their flight suits as they headed out to the tarmac to get started. Before making his way up to the tower for the duration of the day, Bradley took a few minutes to identify each aviator and answer some questions. It didn't seem to matter where he was standing, Indigo was always nearby, but her questions were pertinent. She seemed like a bit of a teacher's pet, which had never been his style, but to each their own.
Then he sent them up in the air individually and in groups so he and the admirals could take some notes as a group. It was obvious even very early on who the standouts were. After just one day, there was very little question who would be joining him in San Diego.
-----------------------------------
You felt terrible. Almost like you had the flu. But every time you checked, there was no fever accompanying the constant exhaustion. Of course Rose decided this week would be the opportune time to have a blowout diaper every hour all night long, leaving you in a state similar to a zombie at work.
It wasn't even hot out. It was beautiful weather, especially compared to what Bradley was enduring this week. Yet you still felt unbearably hot, and you had a headache. "Maybe it's a good thing we didn't go with him," you mused as you situated Rose in her car seat. "You'd be poopy and sweaty, and that's not a combination that I really feel like dealing with at the moment."
You grabbed some pregnancy tests and went straight for the registers, freaking out inside before you remembered to double back for some cold medicine just in case. Your fingers were shaking as you used your credit card to pay for everything, including two candy bars. The cashier was making a fuss over your daughter, but the sudden loud ringing in your ears was preventing you from formulating a coherent response. You grabbed your items and rushed back outside.
When you got home, Nat was already there, and tears stung your eyes when she walked across your driveway to help you carry everything inside. "How's my sweet Rose?" she asked, picking her up gently from her car seat and peppering her cheeks with kisses. Then her eyes widened briefly when she what you'd purchased at the drug store. But she didn't say a word about the pregnancy tests, and you didn't have the energy to mention it or try to make an excuse.
"I'm thinking of making spaghetti for dinner," you told her, settling on the easiest combination of pasta and store bought sauce.
"I didn't want you to have to cook for me, so I brought some hot sandwiches from the diner," she replied. "One roast beef and one turkey. You can pick the one you want, because I like both."
Your mouth was instantly watering, and when you opened the bag on your kitchen counter, it smelled so good, you could have kissed her. "Thanks for getting these," you said, quickly unwrapping both sandwiches and pulling out plates. "I'm really tired this week without Bradley here."
"I figured as much. You've got to keep this little love bug fed and played with and read to all on your own." She sat down on the couch with your daughter in her arms. "I don't understand how something that looks like Bradley can be so adorable. Logically, it doesn't make sense to me."
You snorted, cutting both sandwiches in half to share them evenly. "He insists she doesn't look anything like him."
"Oh, he's so full of crap. I mean, he's lucky your kids will also look like you, because you're beautiful."
You didn't miss the way she used the plural of the word, and you felt your anxiety spike again as you cleared your throat. "Do you want to sit in the dining room? Or at the kitchen island?"
"Whichever is easier," she replied, giving you a lingering look before shifting her attention back to Rose.
You knew it was better to take a pregnancy test first thing in the morning, but after Nat left, you couldn't stop looking at the packages on the kitchen counter. Since you bought several, you didn't see the harm in taking one of them before bed. What's the worst that could happen? You'd stay up all night in a state of nervous energy? You were barely getting any sleep this week regardless, so why not just take it?
Burping Rose and reading her bedtime story were two things your husband readily volunteered to do, but you fumbled your way through both tasks as your heart beat a little faster. You were about to take a pregnancy test. It wasn't that you didn't want to get pregnant again, you just didn't want to get pregnant again right now. Not while your firstborn was still so young, and not when you hadn't been feeling like your normal self again yet. The idea of two babies to care for was also so daunting, you found yourself close to panicking.
You had to leave Rose in her crib to cry for a few minutes before she fell asleep, because you couldn't wait any longer. Not only did you want to pee on the stupid test just to see a result, you also felt like your bladder was going to burst if you didn't go now. You made a beeline back to the kitchen where you grabbed the boxes and your candy bars before running to your bathroom.
When you tore into the foil wrapper, you accidentally cut your finger. "Damn it!" you gasped, wrapping it up in toilet paper before you got the test ready with your other hand. You didn't know what to think as you finally let your bladder feel so much better. Chances were strong you'd need to take an additional test in the morning if you wanted to double check a negative result. You knew your hormone levels would be stronger then.
"This is pointless you whispered to yourself as you put the test on the counter and set a timer on your phone. You snatched up the candy bar, ripping the packaging open with your teeth and climbed into the empty bathtub to wait. The chocolate tasted delicious. Just as good as the sandwiches Nat brought. You wrapped the toilet paper tighter around your finger when you realized you could smell the metallic tang of blood in the air.
You took another big bite of your candy bar and thought about how long it took you to get pregnant with Rose. It was too easy to recall all of the months where you had yourself nearly convinced that it was never going to happen. How much anger and hurt you felt, wanting something your body just wasn't letting you have. And your daughter was perfect. She really was. But now you were scared for a different reason, and you only had yourself to blame for being so horny when you forgot to take your birth control pills away with you.
The fact that this candy bar tasted so good to you was becoming alarming. You could eat about ten of these in a row right now, no problem.
When your phone alarm sounded, you carefully chewed up the last of the candy as you eased yourself out of the tub to silence it. Your movements felt like slow motion as you unwrapped your finger to find just a small cut before tossing the toilet paper in the trash. You turned to look at yourself in the mirror, pausing to examine your expressionless face. And before you even looked down at the test on the counter, you knew what the result was.

Being in a different time zone than you was annoying as hell. Bradley missed a call from you last night when he passed out as soon as he got back to his room after hitting the gym and taking a shower. Once again, he was afraid to call or text you too early and wake you this morning. Besides, he had to be in the tower soon to discuss some of his frontrunners with the admirals since he only had two more days before he flew back to San Diego. At that point, he would start planning the training exercises he would implement with these aviators come September.
Two pairs of Super Hornets were working through a dogfighting scenario when the radios in the tower crackled to life with voices. Once again, Indigo and Rex seemed like the top prospects for permanent roles at Top Gun. "They look really good," Bradley mused, scanning their list of accolades. "They're at the top of my list."
"Agreed," one of he admirals replied. "They are both a bit ruthless in the air, but they get the job done every single time."
The fact that it sounded like they were talking about Jake from five years ago almost made Bradley laugh, but that was probably the energy he needed to bring back with him. He could work some of the ruthlessness out of their systems.
"Who else do you think would fit with the program?" the other admiral asked, and Bradley was pleased to find that his notes and thoughts on all of the aviators were met with respect and agreement. His shoulders loosened, and a rush of confidence filled his veins. He'd been trying not to acknowledge how much this new role was filling him with anxiety. There was the fear of failing at his job, but he also wanted to be successful for his own personal growth. At the end of the day, knowing he was leading a well rounded team was important to him.
It was also important that he hit the gym again, or maybe go for a long run. The last few times you'd ordered pizza for dinner, he came home and inhaled half of the pie like it was nothing. When he looked in the mirror, there was definitely some more weight hanging around his middle. When he texted you, asking for some new pictures of Rose, you told him you were still at work but needed to call him as soon as you were done. He had about an hour, so he got changed and turned on his This is what a gym playlist should sound like, Bradley playlist that you made him so long ago, and he started a long run.
You were so much better at making playlists than he was, it was laughable. However the summer heat here was not laughable. Nobody else looked as beet red and sweaty as him. Maybe he was just conditioned for San Diego at this point. He wasn't really sure, but by the time he put a few miles in, he doubled back toward his barracks. When he sat down on some concrete steps at the side of the building, he held onto his phone, ready to answer your call whenever it came.
He was mopping his forehead with the hem of his UVA tee shirt when the door behind him swung open.
"Lieutenant Commander Bradshaw."
Indigo's voice was now familiar to him from several conversations and the comms in the tower. "Lieutenant Jeffries," he replied as she stepped past him, also dressed for a run. He simply couldn't understand how these people weren't always pouring sweat.
"I meant to ask how you're enjoying Texas."
Bradley laughed and set his phone down on the step between his feet as she stood on the cement before him. "I'm ready to go back to San Diego and escape the heat. Not sure how you all manage here."
She smiled and ran her fingers through her jet black ponytail. "It's not so bad. I'm from Virginia, so it almost feels familiar." Her eyes slid down to his chest, reading his shirt before continuing to his left hand. "You went to UVA?"
"Yeah," he replied with a nod. "I grew up between Norfolk and Virginia Beach."
Her vibrant eyes lit up. "What a small world, Sir. We would definitely have a lot to chat about. After I run my five miles and hit the shower, I'm heading to the bar with Rex and the others. You should meet me there."
Bradley's brow furrowed as he examined her face. She was young. He knew exactly how young from poring over the individual files all week. Her expression held no trace of uncertainty, like she was expecting him to agree without question. She was one hell of a self assured pilot, but he wasn't going to start playing favorites.
"Thanks for the invitation, but I'm waiting for a phone call."
One dark brow quirked up over her blue eyes. "From your wife?"
He nodded slowly, voice deep and raspy when he spoke again. "Yeah. Hopefully my daughter, too."
Her gaze lingered on his face as she backed away from him with a soft laugh. "I'll be looking for you at the bar later."
Then she was off and running, leaving Bradley squinting into the setting sun and her retreating form. When he picked up his phone, he realized he missed your call again.
