In honor of the 10th anniversary of one of the best dubs ever made this year, as of today, I created this

"One Second of Every Episode of Doraemon: Gadget Cat From The Future" ever, plus two from the Stand By Me 1 and 2 movies on Netflix.

On this day, 10 years ago, on July 7th, 2014, "Doraemon: Gadget Cat from the Future" made its official US premiere on @disneyxd with the first episode (containing the segments "All the Way From the Future World" & "The Mecha-Maker")!

It was an English dub adaptation of the third "Doraemon" anime series, running since April of 2005 and still going strong! (with 700+ episodes as of July 2024)

The dub had an incredibly high profile set of voice actors, starring Mona Marshall, Johnny Yong Bosch, Cassandra Lee Morris, Brian Beacock, and Kaiji Tang as the leads (Doraemon, Nobita/"Noby", Shizuka/"Sue", Suneo/"Sneech", and Takeshi "Gian"/"Big G"), with Mari Devon, Tony Oliver, Max Mittelman, Keith Silverstein, Spike Spencer, Minae Noji, Kirk Thornton, Cristina Vee playing the reoccuring set of secondary cast of the show's characters.

The show centered around the life of a misfortunate boy named Nobita "Noby" Nobi who suffers from bad grades, bullying from his peers, scolding from his parents (his ferocious mom mainly), and is generally an awkward, lazy, kinda weird, and slow kid.

A robotic cat from the 22nd century named Doraemon is sent back in time to aid Noby in his life, pulling out futuristic magical gadgets from his pocket that can turn everyday human life into something much more every day.

Hijinks ensue when Noby ends up misusing Doraemon's gadgets, often continuously using them for his selfish (or selfless sometimes) benefits until things get incredibly out of control either through inconveniences, bullies, or just... really really poor choices.

Occasionally every now and then, the show has little half hour adventures, such as Noby & the gang helping a group of little people ("A Little Adventure"), Doraemon & Noby seeing aliens ("Invasion of the Goat Aliens", "Doraemon and the Space Shooters"), Doraemon & Noby going after a time capsule ("Doraemon's Time Capsule"), escaping from a villian from the future ("A Visitor from the Future"), but generally overall, the show is incredibly episodic and formulaic with the premise listed above.

The dub made numerous edits to the source material such as having the show's setting take place in a random no-name town in America instead of Japan, changing Japanese yen to American currency, removing content, motifying the character Shizuka's personality due to American viewers misunderstanding or getting confused over her original traits, etc.

The cast of characters were also given Americanized names, though these are confirmed to be just nicknames, with it being implied that they still have their original names in media such as Stand By Me Doraemon 2 (the English dub) & in the English manga.

It ran for a total of 52 episodes (with two 11 minute segments each with the exception of a few half hour specials that were dubbed, especially by season two) across two seasons from July 7th, 2014 to September 1st, 2015, being seemingly cancelled or sidelined by Disney quietly, with no official answer on the status of the dub.

According to Sneech Honekawa voice actor Brian Beacock via his TikTok on a stream from around 2020, Disney lost interest and didn't want to continue pushing the series.

The show continued to air in reruns after the conclusion of the second season on Disney XD until on June 20th, 2018, it got preempted by a rerun of Phineas & Ferb and has never aired again nor been seen again on American television (photo above courtesy of Collin LW)

And sadly, as of 2024, there seem to be no plans to officially re-release the dub via formats, as its not on DVD and Blu-ray nor is it available on watch on major streaming services with anime like Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, or Crunchyroll.

Though thankfully, thanks to the efforts of an unknown to my head right now fan, the entire English dub's episodes in 1080p logoless quality (ripped from "Watch Disney XD" before being removed) is currently available to watch online on Archive.org (& MEGA), being helped made widespread by Doraemon US superfan & voice actor Collin LW!

Despite receiving some particularly heavy negative reception from several fans of the original Japanese dub over the years since its existence came to be, the dub has generally received positive feedback from those who saw it, especially from its devoted cult following. Particularly for the voice cast's performances, heartfelt moments, the cute cartoony artstyle, the fun cast of characters, the original soundtrack by Joseph Bauer, and the sense of witty hilarious humor that's been favorably compared to the likes of the 4Kids dubs of the "Pokemon" anime from the 1990s and 2000s.

OK SO DORAEMON IS AN EXTREMELY SUPER RLLY RLLY RLLY GOOD ANIME/MANGA MADE BY FUJIKO F FUJIO (Hiroshi Fujimoto) AND FUJIKO A FUIJO (Motoo Abiko)! (the concept was made by Fujiko F Fuijo, A helped produce it) It's about a robot cat from the year 2112 named Doraemon and he's sent back to the 21st century (or 20th century depending on when the episode was made bc this series has been going on since 1969) by Nobita's great great grandson, Sewashi to help Nobita bc he's extremely unlucky and bullied!! (me personally, I extremely headcanon he has inattentive ADHD bc he displays every trait but thts a rant for another time) Doraemon has a pocket on his belly tht is called the 4D POCKET!!!!! It has tons of gadgets tht help them when they're in trouble or they're bored or whatever!! EEEE THIS SERIES IS SO DANG COOOOOL!!! Also, it has a 1979 and 2005 version!! The 2005 version got a dub made by Bang Zoom! and was aired on Disney XD from 2014-2016!

(not all of it is eng subbed and same goes for Doraemon's main series, but ofc Doraemon's more complete)

HOW TO WATCH/READ DORAEMON:

If you are in Japan and India, I think Doraemon is on Netflix for u! I can only speak for an 🏈🇺🇸🦅AMERICAN🦅🇺🇸🏈 and english-speaking pov tho.

Worldwide, Stand By Me Doraemon 1 and 2 is on Netflix. BUT that is all Netflix USA has.

OK SO this has Dorabase, Doraemon, Doraemon Long Stories, and The Doraemons manga!!! I'm not 100% sure if it's all complete but it is ALOT of manga!!!! Also this has other manga that Fujiko F Fujio made, such as Chinpui! I think they also have stuff tht Fujiko A Fujio made! (They tend to be quite dark and black comedy, except Ninja Hattori! My fav manga he made is The Laughing Salesman!)

This site has Doraemon episodes and movies! (including the Disney XD dub) Not all sadly but most!!! :DDD

I made a playlist that has all completed and good engsubs of The Doraemons!!!! There is another special called "The World of Ace's Christmas Special" but sadly it's only subbed in Chinese.

SO I TOLD U ALL IK ABT THE OVERVIEW AND WHATS ITS ABOUT RIGHT? But not sm as to why u should watch it, why I like it, and how I was introduced!

I think u should watch it because it's like SUPER COOL! It's about scifi and the future and all tht! It's also teaches morals and whatnot. And also, like One Piece the genre goes around in movies and some episodes while staying pretty into sci-fi, adventure, and comedy! It's very imaginative and creative and yeah! Basically, it has smth in it for everyone!

I LIKE IT because of what I said right there! It ties alot into what I think is cool and what I wanna be when I grow up! I wanna be an astronaut and traveling space is one of the things I wanna do! Doraemon talks abt alot of stuff about future technology, time travel, space travel, etc. It's also been actually influencing that IRL!! For example, in 2021,a new dinosaur species in China was named Eubrontes Nobitai!! They named the species after Nobita (also called Noby).

I was introduced when I went over to my cousin's house in 2014 (I was 7 then) and they had recorded Doraemon on their DVR bc it had premiered on Disney XD and they thought I'd like it! (I did, alot) After it stopped airing, the show was just in the back of my head until COVID hit and I was like "hey that robot cat did exist" during virtual school and I was hooked!

So yeah, that's all abt Doraemon! It's extremely popular in Japan, India, and Italy but it deserves sm more popularity and recognition and love than it gets. Sm ppl have put in hard work (especially the authors) and yeah! ALSO please do check out the other things Fujiko F and Fujiko A made!!

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- The American lottery host named John Crow announced a record breaking, billionaire jackpot prize of Mega Billions, which temporarily dubbed as Mega Millions ballooning to U$D1.58B (PHP88.9B) last Tuesday night (August 8th, 2023 -- Atlanta local time).

Per exclusive results overnight on USA Mega, only one person got all 6 numbers right without a Mega-plier (shorten as the Mega Multiplier). The same state of Florida, including North Carolina got 5 numbers with the aforesaid Mega-plier but no match for the Mega Ball, and to be paid out worth U$D1M (PHP56.261M).

Disney XD's parent company of ABC News and Mass Communication News Intern in Orlando named Hailey Banks was found out that the winning billionaire ticket was reportedly sold in Publix Food & Pharmacy store at 630 Atlantic Boulevard, Neptune Beach, Florida, United States of America (U.S.A.) with a selling bonus of the store worth U$D100k (PHP5.641M).

While a millionaire bettor however, in a same state without a Mega Ball and including the Mega-plier strikes a little rich at a small store of Kwik Stop (also has a selling bonus of U$D1k or PHP56,410), which located at 830 Columbus Parkway, Hollywood, the said state (but not for California in a different city name). Both of these locations are near Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale.

The winning bettor can choose to have the said billionaire amount to be fully paid in 30 annual installments within the next 3 decades by 2053 or take a one-time lump-sum of U$D783.3M (PHP44.1B), which is subject to federal taxes in America.

Disney XD News was learned that it was a largest billionaire jackpot in history since late-March 2018, 2 years before the Coronavirus Disease-19 (CoViD-19) pandemic in the United States of America (U.S.A.). The American Lottery ranked to #3 spot, ahead of Edwin Castro's win at the Joe's Service Service in Altadena, California for Powerball at #1 in November 2022.

First Coast News reporter named Tristan Hardy urgently advised to a Floridan lottery billionaire: "If you're the winner, take this into consideration. You don't have to claim it now, unless you have 6 months to make it happen. And if you don't have to quit your daytime job as well, don't quit it until you get the money if you know what I mean", Hardy said.

Both bettors in Florida have not yet come forward until their own decision was made back-to-back. The upcoming press conference is potentially on its way sooner before the name has yet to be called out, with the exception of the anonymous bettor role.

It is legal to remain anonymous in several states including Florida within few to several months after lottery drawings were shown on national TV. Mega Millions resets to U$D20M (PHP1.125B) on Friday night (August 11th, 2023 at 11pm).

What's your favourite tv show opening credits?

Hmm... no matter how much I like an intro, I do tend to skip it to get to the actual episode, BUT at the top of my head, these are intros that I do like, and do occasionally listen or watch;

Thomas and Tim, a Danish 90s cartoon:

It’s no secret that I consider Thomas og Tim an iconic cartoon in Danish history, it showcases perfectly Danish humor for kids and, more importantly, how totally controversial we were. It’s gotten more PC the last decade, like it has in the majority of Western societies, but in comparison to for example USA, or even our neighbor countries, we’re still pretty chill with what we show our kids.

Mew Mew Power, Danish dub

This one is REALLY embarrassing to admit. Tokyo Mew Mew was my very first anime, in that I watched it in Japanese with English subtitles, rather than for example Pokemon which was dubbed in my native language, so that felt less like a “foreign” cartoon in comparison. I do not, I repeat, DO NOT, care for the English dub OR the Danish one for that matter. It took away the uniqueness of the original anime, censored things that really didn’t need to be censored and was just overall very bland and stupid.

BUT... man, do I really like the intro song xD It’s totally childish, probably pretty bland too, but that’s kinda what makes at least the lyrics memorable. There’s this stupid “pun” near the end of the song that basically goes; “It’s hard to be cool, when you’re hot for a guy” That is easily the stupidest, cringiest line I’ve ever heard, but damn, does the music and lyrics just really get me in a great mood anyway xD

Gummi bears, Danish dub

I don’t even remember this show all that well, I mostly remember this one episode where an evil witch or something puts a spell on the kingdom to make everyone think she’s beautiful and kind, and the yellow gummi bear with the Peter Pan outfit has to “save the day”, any other episodes? I don’t really remember them. But THIS FUCKING SONG. People get Ducktales stuck on their brain, I get THIS song stuck on my brain xD

Ok, so the majority of this list is gonna be mostly embarrassing shit I guess. I didn’t like this show, like at all, it was the stupidest 90s bland and the boys had little to no personality. Their entire personas were just standing in a “cool” way. But this intro was on the list of intros I watched JUST for the intro and then never stayed for an actual episode. Same with TMNT.

Kim Possible

Finally one I’m not embarrassed of! Kim Possible kicked as when I was a kid and she kicks ass NOW! (As long as it’s not that live-action Disney channel movie)

Frenchs kinda have a problem with them,,, My generation is really into watching the VO and diss a lot about the VF (French version) especially about anime ! But it’s faire cuz French anime dub sucks ass. In the 90’s there was an anti-japanimation movement led by some rich condescending politician woman who wanted to “”preserve French youth by limiting their exposure to foreign cartoons”” but I think it was mostly racist cuz in exchange we got all the USA cartoon lmaoo and it led to a kind of “I’m too good for anime” pride by pro dub actors and A LOT of anime got so horrible VF nobody wants to watch them ahah

For big movies from Hollywood it’s way better. Kinda. It depends on if the company have money,,,, Disney VF are very good but like,,, Transformer ? Bruh. Cartoon network for dub ? Bruh.

(Fun fact, Disney translates songs ! And they’re often very good ! Listen to the French Let it go by exemple, which became ‘Libérée, délivrée’).

But the song Stronger than You from Steven Universe is a literal translation so it’s very weird.

I can recommend you the video “Joueur du grenier - hors sujet - les dessins animés des années 2000”. JDG is one of fav youtubers and like 90% of his videos have English subtitles ! This one talks abt cartoons from the 2000 in France and just roast them xD

The “French surrenders every time” like. Fuck you. It’s false, France was (and still is) a very a powerful nation with more victories than defeats. But go off I guess 🙄

I think it would be about the “french doesn’t speak English or badly”..... I mean...... French accent is an heavy step to overcome ahah We’re just bad at no Romane languages x)
