(and, because it wouldn't be a post of mine, after all, without a long footnote: to be clear, villentretenmerth was inspired by the legend of the dragon of wawel hill, and when people (meaning: netflix) erroneously claim that he was inspired by asian dragons instead, and mention nothing of this krakówian dragon nor the cobbler twiney whom defeated it, it actually kind of ticks me off, not only because i find it lazy, but also because the whole point of villentretenmerth's character is that he's a subversion of the type of cruel, greedy dragon from european mythology... however, i'm setting all of this aside momentarily, because since i was born in 2000, my zodiac is that of a golden dragon, and because i also happen to be a witcher fan... i call for borch-posting)

im kind of a mom against weed i dont think its good for your mental health i think thats a big cope. getting so high you're dissociating through and emotionally numbing yourself isn't treating your mental illness, its abusing drugs. nobody says this about alcohol curing their depression even though it's used in the same way to cope and has (overall ) the same negative effects
#was a big stoner from like 18-20 like dabs on the daily and its just like...not good to be so unaware#its like walking around with a wet towel like wrapped around your entire head its suffocating it literally dulls all your senses#in moderation as a recreational activity i dont really see anything wrong with it but#it shouldn't be a mindless everyday as soon as you wake up behavior#everytime i smoke weed now im like oh right i dont like this at all lol whyd i do that#getting high is like the same as sleeping all day as much as possible re: coping w mental health ur just turning your brain off#not actually working through anything making the problem compound and making you turn to the drug again and again#and bcs its a relatively mild drug its definitely a like#frog in a boiling pot scenario you dont know just how fucked you are until youre really in it

aghhhhh my home life is about to become so bad again
#kinda hope my dad dies. who said that??#I was like ‘it’s almost february! surely that means we avoided his yearly manic episode!’#but nope! just got informed he’s going on another one of his ‘everything detoxes’ so he’s going cold-turkey off like 4 things at once#I was like ‘ok.. why though? after how badly last time went??’ and he just went ‘because I CAN? because I FEEL like it? I don’t know!’#despite the fact it made all his friends and family despise and avoid him last year#and he refuses to get any kind of help or acknowledge he’s even capable of being wrong#so he’s just gonna be the human equivalent of a nuclear bomb for the next 2-6 months until he tires himself out and smokes weed again#I need to fucking get out of this house. I can NOT be his only verbal punching-bag again#I need to go no-contact and move out as quickly as possible and not tell him where I go

so tonight starts the first night of me living alone in a farmhouse for a full month. bthe closest town in 15 minutes away (and is also the town they filmed friday the 15th in) and i'm gonna have to both clean the house and take care of some animals. but! luckily my cousin only lives 15 minutes away (not in the town) so we can hang a lot and i can get her husband to teach me how to do work on cars and how to play guitar or smth :3
#im lowkey sad about leaving my brother at home esp since we're in the middle of watching a show together#but tbh he's been a straight up dick lately to me so fuck him lol#like i GET IT he wants to spend as much time as possible with his girlfriend I GET IT#but if you say we're gonna have a night to just smoke and watch as much of our show as we want#DONT COME HOME AT 11 PM AND THEN STOP AFTER 3 EPISODES JUST SO YOU CAN CALL YOUR GF AFTERWARDS#OR AT LEAST GIVE ME A HEADS UP BC I WILL UNDERSTAND!! Sometimes I miss tokrev and being weird and obsessed with the Bonten guys. Some of the only fictional characters I was able to hc myself smoking weed with

so I'm about a third of the way through the Gideon the ninth audio book courtesy of hoopla bc we love the local library and I found out today mine has reciprocal lending with basically every library system in a 100 mile radius and yes okay fine it's good we love a butch idiot we love messy lesbians we love the meme references although the only one I've caught so far is the one about studying the blade but honestly I'm getting maybe 70% with my rampant brain fog and general poor health but I think the library system i am accessing hoopla through is so teeny tiny I shouldn't have to worry about other people so I can just listen to the series again if I become as unwell about it as I think I might be
