love it when a character that's hard to read intuitively for you has like a dedicated fandom interpreter who can just glance at their blank face in a panel and then give you a 3k word essay on their innermost thoughts & desires & fears and neatly tie it back into the themes & whatnot as if it's the most obvious thing in the world

ok so in wat Renarin saw two(? If I’m remembering right?) visions of himself in listener style clothing- and the second time he mentally points out that the clothes are built to emphasise features he doesn’t have (carapace). And like I’m sure that’s a background don’t need to pay attention to detail but smth about how one of his first thoughts on seeing a vision where he is HAPPY. FOR ONCE. Is to point out where there’s still visually smth off about him. The clothes are nice but he doesn’t fit them. Even in good things he’s seeing what’s odd or ‘wrong’ about him.

yeah I just reread that page and his statement was basically ‘wow look at this wonderful vision where Rlain and I look happy together and the world looks pretty alright and he’s hot and we’re wearing each other’s clothes BUT bummer they look really nice but they don’t fit me’

omfg in the end of Saiki K Live Action its pretty much implied he was going to let her have the date she worked so hard for because she had solved everything else, then the rival school delinquents attack, etc etc and when he rewinds the time to do it perfectly this time, he catches Teruhashi's coy glance his way and he exasperatedly smiles with affection. thats the only way i can describe that expression literally he looks like hes trying to hold his face in place but the smile is bursting out by force causing the awkwardness. THEY HAD THEIR DATE IN THE LIVE ACTION UNIVERSE

in hindsight, when i first saw bad explaining lore to forever during that legendary 16 hour stream and bad had already, in the early days of brazil, previously established a routine of saying like "ok!" or whatever to the daily server restart message (a message that was early enough in his time zone that he definitely would not have slept and woken up to greet it) SHOULD have clued me in to the fact that this guy never fucking sleeps but holy shit can cucurucho non-canonically scare the fear of god back into him so his head touches the pillow for more than like thirty minutes like WHAT. i mean at this point i'd even suggest sending someone in the code monster skin to float there menacingly and then say in fuckin hatsune miku voice or like chipmunked audio just. Yuki’s family not communicating with her in (or even seeming to know much) sign language rubs me so wrongly. I don’t know a whole lot about the Deaf community, but I’m taking an ASL class right now and I’ve seen Deaf characters portrayed in media, but I don’t know any Deaf people that use ASL that are close to me, so maybe this isn’t an educated opinion. But I would think that if you were a parent and had a Deaf child since BIRTH and they were 19 years old, sometime in those 19 years, you would have learned sign language - even a little???? Like if Yuki was born hearing and became deaf later in life, I could maybe see how her parents/brother haven’t yet mastered sign language, but that’s not the case!! Yuki was born Deaf and her whole family is perfectly fine with her relying on lip reading and they don’t even seem like they’re actively practicing or learning for that matter😭That scene in the manga when Yuki helps clean for her older brother and she says he only knows ONE sign. And when Itsuomi meets her parents they are genuinely shocked that the two of them are holding sign language conversations despite him only learning recently and the two of them not dating very long. I love Itsuomi and I do think he is genuinely a really great guy, but I also think other characters make it really easy for him to look like such a green flag in comparison😭 Like. This man didn’t know a single sign before meeting Yuki and he’s known her for a few MONTHS and he’s made such an effort to learn for her. And don’t get me wrong, this isn’t an Itsuomi praise post (again I love him, but imo, if you have a significant other who’s fluent in and predominantly uses a language that’s not one you know, it’s the bare minimum to make an effort to learn it) more so this post is just me being baffled at the people in Yuki’s life😭 Like. THESE PEOPLE LOVE HER! Yuki does not in the slightest have an unloving or unkind family. So the fact that they canonically don’t use sign language with her and rely on her to lip read and write/text is just wild to me.

to me one of the weirdest things about lost light is the fact that getaway actually listens to tyrest (i mean like most of tyrest was a little weird in that comic but whatever) its like. So youre telling me that getaway hates rodimus so so much that he is willing to take the advice of a guy who tortured him, and is perfectly fine talking to this guy with no problems at all
