I really like playing with symmetry tools and brushes and just. Draw a line and bam it's a thing now. Then I make it be that on purpose. That's art sometimes. Very satisfying. Highly recommended.

How much time do you spend planning some of your visual novels? At least going by some of them being jam submissions, it feels like you go from pre-production to a finished build very quickly, and it's amazing how you can manage that while still having an awesome story and so many assets.

Also, what is like, the process of planning a story out for you, if there's any vague or concrete similarities that you've noticed?

i think the important context here is that if i get bored/have nothing to do i jhust immediately get really suicidal its like ridiculous how bad it gets(ITS FINE DONT WORRY ABOUT IT IVE HAD 5 YEARS OF THERAPY). so i hate being bored and want to occupy my time wit something fun whatever that is. if i have a project to focus on but especially if I'm working for a game jam i have a deadline and i just decide to myself okay i will release a game now.

because ive made a decent amount of games i roughly have an idea on my capabilities, i can estimate how long it takes for me to write a story so and so long and how long it takes for me to draw stuff i need and how long it takes for me to throw stuff in renpy. these are estimates like as in I'm not accurate with it but still enough that i generally know where to start cutting ideas since the most important part is just having something to submit. i also know to plan around my brain wanting to slam my head into a wall an my hands suddenly giving up on being able to draw.

i think thats the beauty of game jams it forces you to just go for it and release something. releasing a 'bad' game is better than no game at all. experience only comes over time and i think just going for it is the best approach there is. like its literally 2 weeks 1 month whatever of your life. if you have the time and motivation go for it. make it work or fuck it up it wont matter in the grand scheme of things

im not sure what is the motivation behind the question but i do want to point out that this is just my method (if you can even call it a method) and the only way to figure out what works for you is to just try until you find something that actually works for you

idk not everyone will find it doable/fun to plan around spending two weeks gamedev 10 hours a day just cause i wanted to fit in 100 cgs for a jam game but apparently i can do that when i cheat my stupid adhd brain into hyperfocus with adhd meds

as for planning tho i think ideas on their own are worthless and its always about execution in the end. a great idea or a meh idea are the same for me but i do still enjoy the planning process so i keep notes

like i see a great tumblr post or i see some art or visual novel has some scene that inspires me: i save that shit for myself

having a big collection of random floating ideas like that helps me easily pick from especially during a jam type duration. right now i have like 4-5 half-baked project skeletons, some are literally like 3 pictures and some like naomida are a hundred hours worth of me writing world building about how the toilets work in a city with no plumbing cause its -30celcius(i love bringing this up)=

i dont normally plan that much, i tend to just wing it. like for malmaid i seriously just had some rough ideas and just went along as i wrote

same thing for dddeviance i had a handful of scenes that i really wanted to make and knew what kind of start and end it was meant to have and just figured out how to fill the in between. a lot of plot points changed vastly like halfway through i realised my devil + angel combination was stupid and i should just go for fallen angel + angel.

i think there really is no simple answer tho (as evident from the long as hell post) i don't really have a 'process' because every single game has been worked on has come with different type of planning since I'm always trying new stuff to try and distract me from boredom. like I've been using obsidian for naomida while previously I've just used a empty discord serve as my notes app for malmaid and dddeviance

and tbh with naomida I'm running to a new problem where I'm definitely planning too much. like I'm spending too much time fidgeting with details in chapter 4 even when i haven't finished writing chapter 1 just cause its so easy to get in the loop of "oh ill just change this one line" and boom 20 mins spent playing with my notes that didn't really progress my game since by the time i reach this point the whole scene might have shifted to something else

but if i had to squeeze an answer itd be something like everything related to my art or writing or games is just like "oooooo that seems fun i should remember this for later" and then i just string 10-100 of those into a story

Unfortunately i stopped drawing a long time ago so i don't have and can't make arts about neither Tintin or my oc,but at least i keep her alive through my writing on my other fic in my native language.

Appearance: her name is Aisha,an young adult woman between 18 and 20 years old, 1.65 tall (5'5, almost the same height as Tintin). Long black, curly hair, usually braided or loose. She has vitiligo (I simply think people like that are the most beautiful thing 🥹) and eyes with heterochromia due to vitiligo (one is brown and the other is light green). Her clothes are very simple, long cargo pants with several pockets and she either wears a top or a tank top. Not so thin, a robust body, but still feminine.

Personality: well, here we start with the fact that she is a thief,bisexual, have ADHD and is ✨️brazilian✨️ lol. She is self-centered and thinks she is the best, always wanting to attract attention as she has a reputation for never having been caught regardless of the robbery. Debauched and manipulative, but only when necessary.

She's not a bad person, since even though she's self-centered, she has a big heart and is very charismatic, the type who makes friends after 5 minutes of conversation (in the meantime, she would probably already know about your family and be planning a visit lol). She has the energy of a Golden Retriver, but provokes like a black cat.

Background : how she and Tintin met is fun because they are the "enemies to lovers" troup. She ended up in Brussels because her parents abandoned her there and ran away because they were fugitives, a old woman called Anastacia took her to raise with two other acquaintances of hers, Alexander and Darium (they are old friends),basically becoming her adoptive relatives and calling her Aisha.

Tintin and her met when they were between 9 and 12 years old and by his looks she thought it was fun to tease the poor guy and get in the way of whatever he was doing regardless of what. Talking wasn't an option since she didn't take it seriously just to keep disturbing him, but when he started to return it in the same way it became a competition to see who hated each other more lol.

With Tintin soon becoming the hero and traveling the world, Aisha stayed, became a thief and started traveling the world always aiming to make the most eye-catching robbery possible (As she never hurt anyone and would return it if the person seemed to need the money more, her relatives let her go without any problems lol).

Every now and then he joined Tintin's enemies just to continue disturbing and making the situation worse, but there was one that was the trigger for enemies to lovers that i'll keep it short because this post is getting long lol. In short, she had joined a gang that manipulated her and to get revenge she planned everyone's arrest but Tintin was also involved and this gang hated him.

Classic one helping the other, Tintin got into an ambush in which she blamed herself because indirectly she was the one who gave the location without knowing it, they fought and you know that moment when one of the two ends up kissing the other and then they ask for one more? yeah 😏... After arresting the gang, they didn't exactly become a couple, but something close (it's deeper than that but I don't want to take too long 🥺)

Overal is it,there's some other little things but i guess it's enough for now. Thank you for the ask tho! I never thought someone would want to know about my Oc lol.

The hardest thing right now

Is probably giving myself permission to do nothing. To try to get some rest.

This isn't the holiday vacation I thought I was going to have. The Saturday it began, I got sick. A few days later, it turned out to be covid. A mild case, thankfully; but a miserable few days all the same. Most of the worst symptoms are over except for the tiredness. (And now I'm on paxlovid, which is good; but it makes my mouth taste like dirty copper pennies.)

My travel plans, to see family, were already altered, because my Mom (91 and in a nursing home) got covid (again) *last* week, so I'd shifted my plans to arrive after the 10-day isolation window for her. But now of course I'm not going to travel at all. I wish I could talk to her, but she is bad at answering the phone these days, and bad at remembering to call out. I hope she'll think to call at some point.

I was also going to get to do some art this week. Now that I can sit up at the computer and keep my eyes open a bit longer at a stretch, I'm tempted to try to do some. But part of me recognizes I don't actually have the energy yet. That part is trying to convince the guilty, "if I have free time I should be doing something" part of me that no, this is a real thing. Get some rest. Don't push it. It's okay, you have nowhere to be and nothing to really do for days. The iPad will still be there. (The laundry will also still be there.)

I read a post (I reblogged it just before this one) that made me realize that have misunderstood what "rest" really is. In some ways maybe I did understand. There's a kind of rest where you don't try to Do Things, but consume passively -- read or watch. But that does still use energy, brain-processing energy and the energy to pay attention. I'm not really good at sitting still and truly closing my eyes and doing nothing, but maybe I need to cultivate that a bit more.

(All my life I have done this thing where I think about how nice it would be to be somewhere -- the beach, or on a porch, or in a cozy room somewhere -- and just have a drink and quietly watch the scenery, listen to the sounds, and relax. But when it actually comes to it? I'm not good at it. Maybe I'm a little better now than I was when I was younger. I used to be terrible at sitting still for more than like 15 minutes before I needed to get up, feel like I had something to do, like I had a plan, knew what the schedule was, had an itinerary, things to see. Boy, finding out I have adhd made so many things make sense. Somewhere deep inside of me, I would still like that porch or that couch in front of a fire, though.)

I guess I'll go sit in the recliner. Maybe I'll try to read. But maybe I'll just close my eyes for a bit. I've been doing that a lot this last week. I think I really needed to.

Meet the Author: Sio-Writes

Since I've seen so many intros going around, and my own pinned post doesn't have much about me, I thought I'd tell you all a little about myself for anyone who's curious!

I go by Sio here, and my pronouns are they/them. I'm 28 and I live on the East Coast of the US (in just...the worst state out of the 50.) and I've only ever been outside the US on a cruise to the Bahamas, but I want to travel as much as possible when I'm able.

I'm definitely queer, but my personal label tends to, uh, vary? Based on how I feel that day mostly, lol

I started writing in, like, third grade, age 7, and that's even longer than I've been doing art! I rediscovered writing a while back, specifically the monster community on tumblr (back when it was so small) and it's been two years and I keep consistently getting ideas, so... Here we are, lol.

I looove horror movies, especially the artsy ones like Susupira or Raw, but I'm really not picky, even the popcorn flicks like Saw and Hostel scratch an itch in my brain. I'm also a massive fan of Junji Ito and atmospheric horror games like Detention.

I love to read most fiction genres, but fantasy and sci-fi (both hard and soft) are my darlings. I'm currently trying to get through Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes before the movie comes out. I used to read a lot of published romance novels (Last year I gobbled up all 22 Ice Planet Barbarians in like a month) but the options on Kindle Unlimited are, uh, Limited (hah.) So I've turned to tumblr and AO3 for my romantic reading needs. I also have to read for work and school, so a lot of non-fiction like Systems Design, Network Management, Super Hard Space Math, that sort of thing.

Speaking of, I'm currently enrolled in my Master's degree for Aerosoace Engineering! It's been an uphill battle (I tried the online thing and my ADHD brain went 💫 no 💫) But I'm hoping to start in-class again come August.

I work as an assistant systems engineer for a small construction firm, where I spend all day reading architecture plans and deciding where the security cameras and tvs shohld go. I really love it but I have Imposter Syndrome bad so I'm constantly worried they're gonna randomly fire me one day.

Lastly, I like to flit in and out of fandoms, so I have a lot that I like but I'm not neck-deep. They're like Avengers, MDZS, Steven Universe, Utena, Solar Opposites, Naruto, anything Ghibli, OFMD, and a ton more.

So, I participated in the @sequentialartistsworkshop Friday Night Comics workshop again today—actually, I still have some comics from previous weeks I haven't posted which I really ought to get to, but at least I'll get this one up so I don't fall further behind.

The project for today's workshop, hosted this week by Ellen O'Grady (@ellenogradyart on Instagram) was to make four cards that represented different aspects of yourself—positive and negative—through mythological or archetypal figures. First, participants answered four questions to guide their thinking of what aspects to represent. I'm heavily paraphrasing, but I think the questions were more or less as follows: 1. If someone who knew you well were to introduce you to a community intended to make the world a better place, what positive quality of yours would they name? 2. What other quality would you like to bring to the community? 3. What quality might interfere with your contribution to the community? 4. What is something you would do if you could do it with no societal disapproval?

Anyway, I wasn't completely sure of the distinction between #1 and #2, so the first two panels are just more or less positive qualities. The first panel, representing my drive to create things, is the Demiurge, which was sometimes represented as a snake with a lion's head. (Of course, in Gnostic philosophy, the Demiurge wasn't exactly a positive figure, so I guess maybe there's a bit of self-deprecation going on here.) The second panel represents the fact that I like to share knowledge, I guess? I mean, I work as a teacher (well, currently as a studio teacher most of my actual worktime is taken up just keeping an eye on things and making sure the minor on set is being treated well rather than actual teaching, but I'm still nominally a teacher), but I also like sharing knowledge through other means that are less direct and obvious, so I went with Mimir, a figure from Norse mythology who advised Odin; after Mimir was beheaded in a war, Odin continued to carry around Mimir's severed head, which continued to surreptitiously counsel him.

Panel three is the negative aspect, the poor time management that prevents me from getting anything done—and which I'm pretty sure is because I have ADHD. (I haven't been formally diagnosed, but the descriptions and diagnostic criteria I've read seem to be a really good fit.) I tried to think of any mythological figures who tried to do too much and didn't get much done or who otherwise showed symptoms of ADHD, and then I finally decided to go with the Tumblr-famous ADHD creature, BTW, bending perhaps the definition of mythological or archetypal a bit, but what the hey.

And finally panel four... well, despite my reliance on technology and constant computer use, I guess there's a part of me that wants to just... have nothing, and be part of nature. So I thought of the näcken, a figure from Swedish mythology who (at least according to some versions) just sits naked in rivers and waterfalls and plays the violin. (Okay, the violin isn't exactly natural, and I don't play the violin (I did take violin lessons as a young child, but that was a long time ago), but I could chalk it down to just representing the production of art in a natural setting or something.)

So yeah, I don't know if these were the best choices I could have made for these representations, but the time was limited for the workshop, so I went with whatever I came up with in the time.

(Why did I write "The Näcken" but just "Demiurge" without the article? For no good reason; I just didn't notice the inconsistency until it was finished.)

Introduction

Hello there! This is my art blog. I realized my main blog ( @tyr-the-fenrir ) Has become a mash-up blog and any art posted there will inevitably be pushed down by reblogs and posts about other things.

This blog is to repost my art and bring it all together under one account. This includes my furry art, wings of fire, dnd, warrior cats, original creatures/characters, and other kinds of art.

My art will be a mix f different things. Sketches from my physical sketchbooks are in the traditional art route. For digital, there's a few things I use. I own an IPhone, so I use Procreate Pocket primarily. Though I used to use Sketchbook on it too. I also use Sketchbook on the chromebook my girlfriend gave to me. Most of my art will be saved from my phone sketchbook app as I plan to delete it soon. Storage on the 7+ is absolute shit lol.

I may do unconventional art such as art from other sites or programs such as Minecraft or the like. That is to be seen though.

If you want to know about me as a person more, the blog I tagged is mine and my introduction is lengthy enough to get a vibe of me.

Rules/Boundaries

I don't like 'em as much as the next (this is a joke), but to keep things running smooth, I must implement them.

I will not tolerate drama on this account. I do support Ukraine and Palestine, the LGBTQ+ community, the alterhuman/nonhuman community, and the plural community. But this is an account for art. My political views and beliefs are not going to be posted. My main account will be the place for all of that if I so choose.

I am not here to be told how much my art costs, or to do things I don't want to do. I eventually do plan on taking commissions. I have already cheap prices for them. (The cheapest item being a chibi sketch which is between $1-$3 USD.) As for the second part, I don't want to do things that I don't like (Proships and the likes). My only exception is vent art in which it will be properly tagged as such.

If people want to follow, I have an open arms policy. Everyone is welcome and I don't want harassment to go to anyone. Though, the exception to everyone is those in my DNI list. If there is legitimate concern about any content I make (such as a controversial piece of media) put a comment or message me.

I will give warnings (3) before blocking accounts. I'm not here to argue. I just wanna post silly art pieces that make me happy, and hopefully others happy.

This is the official art/adjacent sideblog for @thebigcj and @alli-bby. Here is where we will be posting our art (among other assorted procrastinations)! I am a newbie artist, I mean ofc I've been around a while, so I've done a whole bunch of worse art in the past, but this is sort of like the next step, y'know?

You can call me w/e (as long as it's not "late for dinner", I don't cotton to liars). CJ’s Pronouns are he but not him, because I'll never be him (whatevs is also fine but keep in mind I am v masc for an NB) and Alli’s are She/her

I am v v into Homestuck atm so p much 90% of my stuff will be HS related, but I also plan on doing other things and my own stuff. I have an original series on Webtoon called Super Fish Legs. It was made (and abandoned) several years ago, but now I have an excuse to get back into it!

Here I will also be posting some original content related infodumps and nerd rants (I am quite aurtistic), including but not limited to; OC worldbuilding, HS fansessions, discussing techniques and constructive criticism, and various other things instead of doing my homework!

A lot of my early stuff will be kinda mid (except for Shitty Karkat; the skrunkly) so follow so you can watch my progress as an artist! This is just a mild hobby so don't expect frequent updates (unless I am in ADHD Hyperfocus Overdrive)

Oh man, I have some THOUGHTS (as in, I agree with you and I have another side to contribute from a similar opinion) and a STORY-

I started an AI art project recently, mostly about playing with absurdist concepts, shitposts taken to their logical extreme, the weirdness that really only comes from asking for an absurd concept from an inhuman mathematical model that doesn't understand what makes it absurd and tries to take it as seriously as anything, using the freedom to rework from the ground up almost instantly as an expression of what ADHD is like, and all kinds of other stuff like that, with the aim of recreating or modifying them in physical media.

Yesterday I decided to do something pretty serious from step 1 with it and write down my thoughts about how it's used for...pretty shallow, anti-artistic, and even outright malicious ends, put it in flowery poetic language, and feed THAT to the AI as a prompt.

First attempt gave me some pieces I'm going to be working into physical pieces as planned today!

Second attempt got weird. I was working with a model that is notoriously bad at making human faces in any style. It gave me MULTIPLE good, coherent human faces in MULTIPLE styles. Some had some AI wonk, but were still significantly more lifelike than what you'd usually get if you asked it for a face, even a single known one. Some...looked human-drawn at first glance. The level of detail and coherence was actually terrifying. I even reverse image searched them to make sure it wasn't just recreating one specific thing by accident and that absolutely wasn't the case! One of them clearly took inspiration from the Mona Lisa (likely because that's the portrait that will show up the most if you ask around about the nature of art itself) but the face was 1) exaggerated in the kind of way that usually confuses this model and makes it create just a creepy swirling void instead and 2) more coherent than you usually get asking for a differently styled variant of the Mona Lisa!

It is haunting me. It almost feels like the computer itself saying something about not wanting to be used for some shallow and greedy bastardization of art - I know that's silly to presume as a literal interpretation, of course, but it sure did stir one hell of an emotion.

Like art is supposed to.

This is why I find it...absolutely unbearable how people use this technology just to make shallow pieces with a nice immediate visual impact for quick viewing and treat the uncanniness that appears when you look deeper as a non-element, because imo if you want to treat it as actual art, that weirdness - and what words reduce it unexpectedly - should be some of THE defining elements that set it apart from any other tool you could use!

And if I had the space to complete the project I would totally generate my OWN uncanny flowery cathedral, invite people to look at it until the weirdness sets in, and then unveil a physical model of it in all of its bizarre and unreal glory.

Yes absolutely

I have a sideblog that I post to occasionally, @ai-generated-xenobiology , that plays with the weirdness of the medium a lot. The images there are mainly generated using a combination of several keywords.

I thought, why not interpret uncanny AI generated landscapes as alien worlds, which WOULD be uncanny to us, and figure out how to optimize that?

I've also messed with inputting images to influence the final result and with editing results and using them as inputs again. Which is a lot more "human influence" than otherwise would be included.

See, I think this is thought provoking art because the uncanny nature of it is a feature, not a bug—it invites you to keep trying to figure out "What am I LOOKING at?" and I think the "otherness" is great. Cool inspiration.

I think the unreal flower cathedral would be great. Imagine an art piece that really messes with the perceptual boundary between "natural" and "man made" space. Impossible geometry but in a "natural" setting. Lots of possibilities.

How do you get motivation to write your fic (which is amazing, btw!!) because I am trying to write a fic of my own but I can't seem to find the motivation to actually sit down and write it out, even though I am super interested in it. 2. Honestly dedicating a certain portion of my day just to write has been super helpful. I tend to feel most motivated in the morning so I just write then and just keep dabbling in it.

I do this weird technique where I write with white text on a white background so I don't focus too much on the mistakes. If you find yourself getting overwhelmed, just changing the font color so you can't see what you're typing breaks that anxiety. Drastic, but it works.

I also write on my phone when I'm feeling particularly unmotivated?

I usually use a lot of ADHD strategies to get myself into the mood lol.

It seriously depends on what kind of story you want to write, but I'm assuming you mean novel/longfic type of stuff with a fleshed out story and a whole cast of characters? That's the assumption I'm going under while writing out my next tips.

What is your main theme? Or genre rather. Is it humor? Romance? Tragedy? A combination? Knowing the overall tone that your story will be in helps a lot in the development of the characters, since each character should fit into that theme in some way. In KNY, the main theme of the story is tragedy, and this affects literally everything, from the backstories for all the characters to the literal worldbuilding in the form of Demons (victims of circumstance, cruelty of the world, that kind of thing).

Once that's down, start small. Just figure out your main character, their motivation, their character arc, and what you want them to realize by the end of the story. Can just be as simple as:

main character (Tanjirou)

wants to live a normal life and go back to the way it used to be

ideally, he should realize there is no going back and he has to move on so he doesnt get left behind? oh ye his sister could represent the constantly changing state of the world and his negative reaction to her changes expresses his inability to let go of his past

*note to self, develop sister character more

Don't think about other characters unless they will actually help the main character get closer to the ideal end you have for them, like I did with Nezuko in the above example. Don't want to overwhelm yourself, you know?

From here, you can start developing stuff. Thinking of concepts. If you're anything like me, you've probably already come up with something your story focuses on like "oh yeah there's magic and shit, and they have to take down the government with it" because I like magic and shit. What kind of setting do you want your story to be in? Post-apocalyptic utopia? Dystopia? Steampunk fantasy? 1920s Japan in the midst of rapid westernization? Is this based in a specific region of the real world or are you making up a whole new world for this?

Once you get the basics down, write down story beats. It can be a similar list as before like:

idk ig nezuko becomes a demon and loses her memory

the two meet a super strong swordsman to kinda show the reader the concept of demon slayers AND the highest ranking people from the get go (oh, think of a name for this rank, maybe pillars? bc pillars of hope and shit lol im a genius)

oh shit, you write hashira in 9 strokes? maybe we could have 9 pillars ooooh that would be pog

tanjirou and nezuko have an argument about tanjirou's Problems bc he refuses to talk about anything that bothers him

uhhhhh fight a demon

fight a Strong demon (what the hell am i gonna call these, just do that later)

oh hold on theres gotta be a training montage bc swordfighting takes time to develop

i should add an examination right? yeah like naruto ok put that into the consideration jar

broooo omg what if [insert plot twist here] happened? ive gotta put that in holy shit-

Doesn't even have to be in order. Just let your mind flow. If you have more characters at this point, think about how you want their arcs to end and all that like you did for the main character, then slap those beats into the massive list of story beats.

From here, you can sort stuff out. Then zero in on a specific arc/plot development and build around that. How much you should develop the story depends on how many characters you have and how long you want the story to be. KNY has a fairly large cast and is meant to be serialized, so Gotouge really needed to spend a lot of time thinking about this stuff (and you and I know that didn't end up working out too well lmao, they tried their best though).

Biggest tip is to take your time. You can't create a world in one day, especially if you want to be respectful to the other cultures and stuff you want to portray. Research stuff, look up writing inspiration blogs, all that, just take your time.

Also lemme know if you want to know how I specifically outline stuff in chapters to prepare for writing because its a little different from what people normally do? Idk what people normally do but its certainly not the way how I do it and this post is long enough already.

The party is currently at 44,100 exp. each. Next level is at 48,000 (which will probably take 3 more big battles, 2 if Brennan is super generous with RP awards).

Abernant family had all their land and wealth reclaimed by The Court of Stars for their treachery and failure to prevent a war with Solace. Elianwyn committed treason and betrayal as well.

To save Adaine, the group decided to break up into 3 teams: Pylon 1 (Ragh, Tracker, Cathilda, and Sandra Lynn), Pylon 2 (Gorgug, Fabian, and Riz), and Recovery (Ayda, Fig, and Kristen). Team 1 and 2 would simultaneously take out the pylons. Then, the recovery team would go in (invisible and/or disguised) and gets Adaine and Aelwyn. They would all meet back at Van where they would most likely use Ayda's teleport to leave Fallinel (or regroup to plan their next move).

Feels strange and addled (unable to think clearly; confused), can't remember what's real or imagined anymore, doesn't clearly remember what happened in her past (including what she did to get imprisoned), and forgets what she and Adaine have already talked about (causing a lot of reputation).

Thinks her parents "tried their best they could" and that "they expected quite a lot of us, but isn't that what- doesn't that... didn't that make us great?" (possibly due to something her father said or did since her imprisonment as it echoes a few things he's said)

Tried to ask Hallariel's father for her hand, but even though Fig gave him bardic inspiration and Riz helped by covering Fabian's mouth, he failed... so much. ("Lord Tell-ah-mine of Khy-low Meh-new-rah I like you am-" *makes himself throw up* "We get it. We both get it. We... We're the throw up boys." *passes out*)

Did a sending spell to Zelda for Gorgug for 150 gold (after reminding him that she very much does not like anyone in her debt or visa versa)

Stated that Adaine is her best friend and decides that since Fig is also Adaine's best friend, by the transitive property she is best friends with Fig as well (and Fig agreed). Learning this, she says "Fantastic. I grow richer by the day. I'm emotional." before starting to cry fire "I'm emotional. I'm gonna fly away." She then flew away, returning after she had calmed down.

The Rundown

On the one hand, I've been having pretty bad chest congestion making it hard to breathe and honestly, since it's new but also it's winter, I haven't been able to figure out if it's my blood pressure or even freaking more post-covid malarkey.

Also can't figure out if the hives are because of covid or the diuretic. When I was taking ceterizine, the hives on my hands were nightmarish; they looked like a rash. They looked awful. They itched something awful. I stopped for a while, but then my allergies got pretty bad so I switched myself to loratidine. I'm not sure the dosage is enough, but I really don't know what I should be taking. Now the hives are on the tops of my feet too, and itch like crazy, but hey, the backs of my hands just have a few little hives most of the time.

On the other hand, my partner bought some nootropics. At first, I was like "this is stupid, I bet they don't even do anything--but what if I have ADHD and it takes that away??" I know it sounds dumb, but if I have ADHD--whatever it is that gives me such passion about art and drive about my graphic novel, whatever makes and keeps me creative, that is super critical to the person I am right now. But eh, I'll try anything once.

I've been taking them for like a few weeks now. I take them Monday, Wednesday and Friday, because I didn't want to just go all in and have them fuck me up.

That congestion in my chest? Pretty well gone. Once again, I can walk as fast as I like--till my leg muscles seize up, but that's a matter of my shoes. Additionally, while my sex drive hasn't increased, my responsivity? Let's just say..........

Honestly, I'm not so sure about the hyper-focus? I'm still rather single-minded, but at this point, that might just be how I am. I think I've just become so reliant on having a plan for my next day, like, "I'm going to work and after work, I have nothing planned" or "after work, I need to do some grocery shopping" or "Saturday, I'm going to do the laundry", and of course, I get annoyed when that doesn't work out. I'm annoyed that I don't have my pick of clean shirts after the majority of my few shirts were stolen. I also usually get into a kind of one-track mindset, like once I start to do something for the day, like the diamond painting or working on the graphic novel, I still get annoyed if I'm forced to change track, or I have a hard time switching tracks if the thing I'm working on ends. I think those things are just ingrained.

Conclusion: I thought either the nootropics might make me a square or they were useless, but damn, if all I get is extreme pleasure out of sex and to be able to breathe normally while walking, I'd say they're worth the price. Definitely not saying they're a cure-all panacea or that they'd work for everyone.

I bought some cute shit today from Hobby Lobby, but damn, all that Jesus shit was annoying and frustrating. I got some stickers and scrapbook papers and I can't wait to make these tea boxes; they're going to be so amazingly cute. In my aesthetic, of course.
