@corpseveins
with the storm raging outside, eric knew this might be a great time to hunt someone. people were scared, vulnerable, and others were in the dark due to the power outages across town. he hadn't eaten since he got into town a couple days ago, he was trying to keep a low profile and now his wait was hopefully going to be worth it. he walked into a nearby restaurant and sat down at an empty table. he scanned the room looking for his next meal until he caught the scent of something amazing. he couldn't quite put his finger on what it could be but he was intrigued and needed to know more, he scanned the room for this beautiful scent. he waved down the first waitress he saw. "hey miss, i just got into town. what's good to eat around here?" he asked the waitress, his lips slowly curling into a wicked grin. he knew he wouldn't be eating any food, but he hoped to keep her around long enough to figure out where this scent was coming from.

🌑 from Harley
dark Logy - always accepting! - @inabcck (xx)
Logan was easily rankled today, his hackles always on edge as if he were just itching for a fight. Not that he intended to, but...he kept that crowbar within reach on the wall just in case.
Harley was just...he needed to protect her, no matter how benign a threat it actually was. And these new grunts were not up to snuff, not according to Logan and his own terms that he knew the rest of the crew didn't even take into consideration. They didn't know he was sizing them up whilst they were talking that way to Harley.
His goddess, she was turning out to be. The way she influenced him, the way she made him feel. Even if she only acknowledged it, publicly, with praise and those smiles that made Logan's heart stutter.
These imbeciles just wouldn't shut up. And while she'd uttered a few light threats herself...Logan couldn't take it anymore. Grabbing the guy by the front of his shirt, the blonde dragged him a few steps into the dark before he slugged him hard: the pain reverberated up his arm, but he didn't show it. That pain manifested in anger, baring his teeth and lighting a fire deep inside him to protect, at all costs. A knee came up to the man's groin, another punch to his stomach to wind him before Logan unceremoniously dropped him like a sack of trash.
He wasn't even winded when he went and grabbed the crowbar from the wall, eyes gone dark in his hatred for those ugly words spoken to her. Logan sauntered over as the man struggled to get up, noticing with a smirk that his buddies came nowhere near to help out. They knew a commander when they saw one. Once the man was on his knees, bleeding but not yet pleading, Logan's resolve crystallized.
One good hit, a resounding ring of the metal against his skull, the vibrations like a shimmer in his palm, and the man was down, unconscious. One more insult like that and Logan would use the sharp end next time.

Somewhere off in the distance from her spot sorting clothes in the kitchen Colleen heard the phone ring. Checking the clock she knew it couldn't possibly be Mike calling he was over in Rock River doing a bid on a job and MJ and Saorise were over at the primary center, known as Sloughbridge Elementary when she and her best friend Helene went there years ago. Could it be her sister-in-law Kathy? The house on Cleary street was quiet this morning with just her and the dogs and the house work to do. This gave her pause and a knot in the pit of her stomach.
Sprinting to the ringing cordless phone she failed to notice the pair of work boots Mike had left lay out in the tiny receiving area by the stairs she let out a shriek as she went down hard on her knees, the dogs, Shane and Mac, stared at her slightly bewildered until her hand shot up and yanked the phone from the cradle. A quick glance at the caller ID and she saw that it was indeed her best friend since childhood. The usual greeting of 'Caffee Residence' or 'Caffee Construction' were filed away for the next person that rang her.
"Hello and good morning Starling my Darling."
She said with a grin as she got to her feet once more. Col caught a good solid look at herself in her jeans and t-shirt with one of Mike's flannels over it and her hair up. There was a time when she used to dress to the nines and go out and paint the town with her best friend. Those times...were honestly few and far between.
"Colly..."
Just how Helene had said her name told Colleen that something had happened. Couldn't be Benson related because he'd been gone damn near fours years. The fact that she still lived in Suffolk County was a fucking miracle.
"I'm pregnant."
Colleen had never given much thought what a Champagne bottle felt like but she certainly felt like a million of them were going off in her head right now as she let out a whoop of congratulations.
"That's wonderful news!"
She found herself doing a little happy dance in the privacy of her own home and so excited for the one person that had seen her through life's hardest moments. Then she stopped. What about Frank?
"Have you told Mackey, yet?"
For some reason she still couldn't will herself to call her best friend's boyfriend by his given christian name. She had one in her own past and she was still trying to learn to be ok with the name.
"Would you like to meet up for a cup of tea or something? Caffee Manor is empty at the moment and you're more than welcome here, lovely."

⊰ @inqisita , plotted ⊱ there is nothing that compares to the thrill of a hunt. as arrow lets loose, there is tension as one waits to either hit their mark or miss completely. it was rare that alysanne's arrows did the latter. when the arrow lodges itself into the doe's neck, a smile of victory rests on her expression. the young noble strides inside of winterfell with her game resting on the back of her horse. the doe was pretty large for what it was. it was going to make a hearty meal, she claimed as a servant came to collect her horse.
riding gloves are taken off and discarded, then brown mane is let loose. her curls draped along her back. lady alysanne attempts to see if her husband is nearby. mother had wished being married would help her to chase more womanly pursuits, but alysanne's 'odd' behavior is what caught the interest of lord stark anyway. if lord stark had tried to confine her to winterfell's walls and an embroidery hoop, it would have not ended well for him. cregan is not seen as he was probably looking over battle plans or other things that needed his immediate attention. it was no bother as being a lord called for certain duties.
alysanne instead spots their latest visitor, lady vela. she approaches the woman with a friendly gaze. there was a certain air around the lady that seemed mystical , as if she were a thing of fairytales. the mystery surrounding her life and her goals brought about intrigue. ❝ did you sleep well, my lady? has the cold sunk into your bones just yet? it takes southerners a while to adjust. the chill in the air can feel like a sharp sting. ❞ it was the south that aly found unbearable. the stickiness of sweat along skin and clothes, she would rather have to wear a fur-lined cloak. ❝ i know my husband offered his aid in your quest, but i would like to offer mine as well. ❞ it sounded as if there were an adventure to be had and she would not miss the opportunity. ❝ will your quest bring you beyond the wall? my father used to fill my head with nightmares about what lay beyond it. i think he was attempting to help me realize just how dangerous those lands could be, but i found it intriguing. ❞

@ofunholylambs “Woah! I didn’t see you there!” This is what they get for going out without proper lighting to SEE WHERE THEY WERE.
"Not to worry little lamb, it's only me," Alastor promised, reaching out to gently steady Ace, his head cocking to the side
"I do wonder though, why in hell haven't you got any proper lighting with you? You know, they do have this fancy new invention called a 'flashlight' that may interest you," Alastor teased

for as much as I love and adore stories where the power of hope and friendship is a blinding wonderful light, full of happiness and ease and laughter, something hits different about the way hope, in ffxiv, looks like this
covered in blood and dirt and limping forward. It’s probably been said multiple times before but isn’t it a reassuring image to know that hope drags itself through the mud just as much as you do and keeps fighting when it can hardly stand. and amidst deepest despair, light everlasting

“Should I remind you of that one time…” ( from Shane )
Colleen stopped folding laundry and turned wide eyed begging the dark eyed woman she loved dearly to not say a word about what was only now referred in Colleen Lore as The Incident.
"No..nonono."
Trying her best to shut the memory back in the box. She'd refolded the same pair of Shane's socks four times before she chucked them into the basket.
"I still can't go into Bloomingdales and go by the changing rooms without thinking of that."
She had worked in the fragrance department at the time, just about the time she met Shane, and had been the last one out of the wing when she heard moaning. A chuckle left her as she remembered walking towards the sound. Part of her had blocked it out. Wanting desperately to redirect the subject she countered.
"I made an apple walnut crumb cake...want a piece?"
Taking Shane's hand she steered them both towards the kitchen but as soon as she hit the threshold her mouth let her mind away.
"That fact that they were going at it in a public space...in a changing room in Bloomingdales. I-I know people have needs but damn...I don't think I could do it. Could you?

@ladicsa continued from here ( kisa & seth )
this was not the gecko she should be going for , he's made that clear many times before . the thing is , seth isn't just an ambitious man , he's also one that will put his interests and brother first before anything - and he couldn't have his interests and family safe if the end of the world came down knocking at their door . " congratulations , you went through shit , newsflash princess we all did . i don't care if you have a grudge the size of your ego to hold against those that wronged you , but your friends won't leave us a world to live in unless we do something about it . now . "
