it would probably have to be someone who's close enough to him or richmond now to like, be able to see the change, but i just. am obsessed with this. and that's not even getting into considering the angles of his possible ex-wife/divorce + if non-audience-members can tell he's madly in love with ted or not, because i'm not sure if it's funnier if they're like "trent crimm is a huge dork now and we have no idea why????? i guess this is just the lasso effect fucking bending reality again??" or if they're like "hey fucking WILD that that one journalist specifically known for being a huge asshole apparently fell so ass over teakettle in love with that weird cowboy miracle worker of a gaffer that he divorced his wife, exploded his job, and had a radical personality shift via apparently deciding to be emotionally vulnerable. and all of this after writing a pretty fucked exposé on him?? why does no one talk about this more"

my personal favourite difference between the dub and sub is in season three when Jim and Tyranno are duelling after his dino DNA starts acting up because in the sub, Jim uses the logic that he's an archeologist and has excavated a t-rex before, so duelling a 'living dinosaur 'would be a good fight but in the dub, he simply makes the claim that because Tyranno is part reptile, he and Karen are cousins

I thought of one more thing for god of storms and Gai!

What if this Gai is the first of his lifetimes to actually propose a challenge to Kakashi, as the God of Storms.

Being a thief/eco terrorist/leader of a rebellion has made this version of him a little more bold than usual. And maybe at some point he has a talk at Yamato, who lets it slip, maybe in an off brand remark about Kakashi searching for immortality.

And Gai's like "why would a god need immortality?"

And Yamato's just like "...You forget you heard that! Stop it. Forget now! Whatever dumb idea you are about to get you stop thinking it right now!"

But forget he can not. And he IS a very good thief... and he is VERY much attracted to Kakashi so he sort of comes up with a brilliant/dumb idea and climbs a tree during a storm at some point to propose a challenge to Kakashi. A race of sorts!

He would like to race him to finding immortality.

Because if he wins he would happily present it to him... over a first date!

And if he loses well... he'll probably be dead but in the case he's is not, he'll quit thievery to become a monk or something to fully focus on preserving Yamato's forest.

"What do you say, Kakashi?"

(He has no idea that he immortality is for him. He just really would like a date with this very attractive man/god he rarely gets to see and this is the best idea he could come up with.)

Then of course there’s the ‘favour of the gods’ but Gai figures that one’s impossible since if it was possible Kakashi would just… do that (he doesn’t realize all the gods have to agree to do this and that’s damn near impossible. For a single god to do it without at least half the gods backing them up could lead to some major problems (*cough* war of the gods over the one mortal that Orochimaru gave immortality to (Kabuto) that almost lead to the destruction of f***ing everything)

This is...this is the thing going on with Arya transitioning from the war to being a teacher at the Rider school and how she is always asking Eragon to just tell her if he finds someone else. Like yes, she wants him, he wants her, but that shock of going from wartime to 'omg this is a transition period and while there is turmoil now peace is just on the horizon what the fuck do i do with myself in peacetime?? all my temporary peacetime moments are filled with Recall, flashbacks, and painful attempts at processing while itching to leave again bu tnow there's no war to go back to uuuhhh PANIC!'

and she has to learn it all over again.

the transition from people needing each other to wanting each other is literally one of my greatest weaknesses that shit makes me want to walk into the sea and sit on the ocean floor for a thousand years

can we just appreciate vi here?? i genuinely appreciate her softness this season and i'm seriously impressed with how she does her absolute best to speak up for her people to be seen as human while also trying to be a gentle voice of reason as caitlyn navigates through her grief. this makes the scene in episode three all the more heartbreaking to me as she'll raise her walls back up after their promise is broken.

the gentle caressing of caitlyn's face to wipe her tear as she leans into the touch,, even the way she tells her that they'll get the mission done together and caitlyn's shy smile in return,, vi is truly caitlyn's safe space in return for caitlyn being hers in season one and i adore this dynamic between them. honestly, this is my main reason for headcanoning them as flips with alternating leans. there's no one else in the series besides jayce that caitlyn trusts enough to be vulnerable with.

i was already sold on cg! vi a long time ago but this clip also gives off the vibes of a regressor doing their best to reassure and lift their cg's spirits,, i adore these tender moments between them and i truly hope their reunion is all the sweeter because of it (after vi receives a heartfelt and meaningful apology from caitlyn of course).
