While cranberries , or any fruit , tended to represent joy and luck within a dream . When hidden behind a figure , Riku knew that meant that the small amount of joy just within his fingertips was only temporary . Regardless , he FOLLOWED the guide of the story teller and went to pick the cranberries . He ate three , and [ [ o n l y ] ] three . The first , made the woman disappear into a wave of feathers , carried off into the bright blue sky above . The second , made the world SPIN in a flurry so chaotic that it would make anyone dizzy with woe . And the third , transported the darkling prince into a field . Much like the Land of Departure , the field was bright and cheerful . There were no walls or buildings for MILES , and all that fluttered about were [ [ f l o w e r s ] ] never once picked by the hands of another . The cranberries that were once in his hands had vanished , leaving behind a blue book with golden lettering and decor written in Latin . Curiously , he opened it .

The book read across the first page . Each page after word came with more words just like those , filling up pages for chapters on end . When he reached the end of the book , Riku looked at the words scribbled across the page . This time , the words were hand written .
