Just here to say that I replayed as an mc who loved the lake as a kid was A++ work, boss. The nostalgia coming back as an adult, the possessiveness. The way that if you go back to it after drowning, mc still doesn’t really look at it with fear, or at least, the fear is secondary to the almost territorial kind of love that they haven’t grown out of for the lake, despite it being so long. Almost like thinking that the Lake is finally returning the claim they had laid on it as a youth. Like they’ve been waiting for it, for so long, and that there’s no toxicity in the fact that they drowned. It was like mc’s ape brain was afraid, but their mind was almost accepting of the fact that the lake would have it’s own ways of showing love. It gives the distinct vibe of the lake rewarding MC’s love with its secrets.

It’s their Lake, and they are the lake’s.

No wonder Jay was so spooked.

Blue is Cross's roommate right? Or like, dorm-mate, does he know that Cross is a werewolf? Like obviously Cross wouldn't tell him because he's been fighting it his whole life, but does Blue have any sort of idea that something's up with him?

Also, do the likes of Dream and Ink live nearby the college or near Nightmare? Does Dream visit or see Nightmare often? How often do you think we'll see them in the story? :o

Blue doesn't know that Cross is a werewolf, not at all. He's a bit of a skeptic when it comes to the supernatural so that works in Cross's favor. Obviously the 'having to leave campus once every month' is weird but Blue has definitely seen weirder shit than that in the college dorms so he isn't too worried.

I like the idea that maybe some attack in a smaller town made it onto a bigger news channel and locals are talking about it being a werewolf attack and blue's just hearing this going like "pff are they actually believing these guys? C'mon werewolves?really?" and Cross is just like:

Dream and Ink live.... Somewhere. Not anywhere near the city though that's for sure. Dream does visit though Ink is more elusive. He comes and goes as he pleases and you're never sure to be happy or sorry he showed up.

Dream doesn't visit too often, they do meet up for tea on occasion. There usually needs to be a reason for the two to be together, mostly Nightmare coming to Dream for favors, help and the likes. While Nightmare is more experienced and definitely wiser than Dream, Dream has access to a certain type of knowledge Nightmare doesn't. Meeting ink who's... A bit on the strange side does give Dream insight into all things unexplained.

As a side note I do like to think that Ink also visited Dream while he was stuck as a tree. He didn't actually know Dream was ever alive just thought he was a weird tree lol. Dream became his hangout spot for a while lol.

I LOVE this ask! I know a few people are very curious about this powers so I’m gonna share all my ideas as best as I can!

Between the two ideas you gave the first one describes him pretty much perfectly. His appearance is a layer of magic he puts over himself to look human. Being a living shadow means he doesn’t truly have a “real form”, more a default one. Because although most of the time your shadow may look like your silhouette it doesn’t always, does it? So yes Shadow tends to default to looking like Link but as he grows into his powers and more importantly, into his own person, he starts to take on an appearance that he prefers!

Which means that the answer to your first question is pretty much yes! In anger he turns into a monster because his thoughts devolve into what’s strong enough to hurt what made me angry.

However when he’s panicking/unstable he can lose corporeal form completely, he’s hard to really understand or see, which makes it difficult to help him calm down, but thankfully he has very caring friends that stay with him despite not really understanding what or where he is exactly.

I have a doodle of what one of his forms looks like I’m going to post real soon but its vidow centered and I’m not sure if that’s your cup of tea so I didn’t wanna add it in this answer.

I like that he's so miserable. This is the siren song for me, if they're miserable I love them. I like that he is so desperate for Trina's sleep he tries to recreate it himself and it's just this pale and awful imitation of her purity. I love when he aggros on us (and ok at first I was scared I had to kill him and I was so sad lol like I knew he'd die, but I didn't want it to be my fault!!), and how he grows through it to ally with us again. That his faith in Trina was such that it helped him overcome this sorta cowardly "im a wimp who cant do anything" belief and drove him to challenge a god for her.

that he buffs the boss healthbar when I summon him but isn't as good for the fight as Ansbach :[ he truly is weak as a kitten hum

It's tempting to say that death was from imbibing Trina's nectar, but I struggle to justify how he'd get access to it if he lived outside the Lands. Maybe a traveling merchant had some and he stole it, and died, and has been chasing that high ever since.

I'm always very mentally ill about Jason and his moms, Catherine especially. I like the thought that Jaybin fit into the role of Robin so well was because he was used to taking care of Catherine and subsequently raising himself, so the role of "light to Batman's darkness" felt natural to him. Idk, something about the concept of Robin being about helping someone out of a bad situation but for Jason it reinforces the belief that he needs to save/protect the adults in his life and not the other way around is really yummy

I also love the idea that as Jason grew up and filled out as Robin, mostly due to no longer living in starvation, he started looking more and more like Willis, and desperately tried to find traits of Catherine in him, only to find none, because Cathy isn't his bio mom, and when he sees Sheila for the first time it's almost like looking in a funhouse mirror.

Uhm uhm!! I really liked the Nightwing Annual where it showed Jason as a child having to call the paramedics when his mom O.D.'d for the first time and he hid in the closet with his hands over his ears until they were done. It fucked me up so bad and I think there's a lot of space for guilt there, where Jason constantly beats himself up for not being to save Cathy or Sheila, wondering if he's the one at fault for their deaths, if being his parent is just a curse that inflicts pain into everyone who loves him :3
