The final (I think) result of all the dyeing I've been doing for The Bestie Art Retreat

I may do a few more pale shades for contrast, but oof, it's probably been a decade+ since I've dyed this much fiber at once. Wools used: Rambouillet, Targhee, New Zealand Romney, Domestic Wool Blend, Falkland, Shetland, and Merino/Silk.

THEN i shall post' or etc. etc. lol. NOT even taking into account the many days #I just genuinely and physically sick and it's not even a mental thing. I just physically dont feel like sitting at the computer lol..#ANYWAY.. trying to get back into it. trying to get a business bank account.. make a proper paypal so i can start selling sculptures again.#selling clothes and sculptures.. posting about such things then of course as one must. etc... chanting to hype up and motivate myself lol #But yes. this is my favorite outfit out of the bunch so I am posting it first I guess.. maybe others later..#Also the purple dress says its from shein. which I've heard is bad fast fashion stuff. but maybe okay since its second hand? I havent #been to the bins since like 2020 or late 2019 even. and I think stuff like shein and temu has only become poular in the past few years #but I bet if I went to the bins now I might would find a good handfull of that stuff. Probably now not much different than what you #find in a walmart or a forever 21 or actual physical stores you can go to though. I hear quality of clothing is down everywhere no matter #where you get it or whatnot. I used to think that most people had more sense before I got into this fandom because the way people just completely disregard Louis' (and Claudia's) blackness in a show that is an adaptation of a book where the main character owned 2 plantations and hunted slaves for food while talking about his hatred and fear of those he enslaved is like incredible. And to not understand that the show is taking aspects of its source material to task. And to come in with such a superficial understanding of how gothic romance is depicted in Western media, to imply that Louis being put into a role that is almost always taken up by white women is something that's to just connect to a more common audience? Like do you hear yourself? And I KNOW many of yall don't engage with black gay art I KNOW you don't listen to us and often think us outside of queer experience but at some point you are going to need to contend with the fact that there might be something deliberate with the way Louis talks about his relationship with Lestat. The way Claudia interacts with him vs Lestat before and after ep 5. The words she uses to describe the two of them. The books and art put on screen. The costume design. At some point you need to realize you don't know what the fuck you talking about

Okay, like . . . it was one thing when they did their little retcon of Edgeworth's evidence forging in 1-5 because he was such a popular character and I guess they felt that having him be someone who could've once forged evidence to get wins would diminish that (even though he was already popular, and also we all remember that sus as hell "updated autopsy report" in 1-2, like get real), but are they REALLY trying to say that Manfred didn't forge evidence either, that his penalty wasn't deserved, that it was actually Excelsius Winner who was the forger all along? Really? Why? What is the purpose of this? Do they think Edgeworth and Franziska couldn't be upstanding if their teacher was a slimebucket? Because a.) neither of them were at first (updated autopsy report, illegal detention center photos), and b.) that's just not how that works regardless.

Man. This game series, man. I just don't always jive with the choices it makes.

#like personally the fact that Edgeworth has so much character development is WHY he's my favorite prosecutor #he was a dick to Mia in 3-4 to the point of making misogynistic comments! (tho T&T is chock full of misogyny so—)#and he learned from MvK how to manipulate witness testimony! AND forge evidence to get what he wanted!#he didn't necessarily do it every case perhaps — but again a second autopsy report that conveniently helps him? be fr #but like he CHANGES. he GROWS. he doesn't make a single misogynistic comment in the present day #he stops forging evidence. stops manipulating testimony. starts helping the defense. is willing to do anything for the truth #starting him at the bottom makes where he ends up that much better because it's a longer climb!!!#and Franziska gets it too tbh!! she goes from taking illegal detention center photos #& manipulating witness testimony & even saying in AAI1 that all that matters is winning to saying she wants the truth in AAI2!!!#she learns! she grows!! and that only matters bc she starts at the bottom beech!!#so retcons aren't necessary. and with MvK they really aren't bc he's fucking dead so no growth is possible #and anyway what he did isn't really smth forgivable so like 🤷‍♀️ what is even the point i ask again #anyway #aai2 spoilers #ace attorney

I also think it’s really sweet that they take photos with fans and that they actually smile and look pleasant in them, I’ve seen some celebs look absolutely miserable in fan pics and not smile at all and like I get it if a bunch of people are harassing you but it also makes me sad for the fans and dnp always seem grateful and kind to fans

i have never heard of a time where dnp were rude--fan interactions, employees, nothing. and while no one is perfect, it does make me feel, as a fan, validated in my support of people who are generally good humans. the reason we watch dnp is for their personalities. it would be hard to reconcile their on-camera nature with knowing they're regularly shit people behind the scenes, so any time there's a new selfie and story about how nice they are, it makes me smile. they've been at this a long time, and now that they're not at their 'peak', one could argue they could be tired of it. but they're always so lovely to fans. if it comes out that someone has had a bad experience with them, it won't shatter anything in my eyes cause they're humans, we all have off days or moments--they've got over a decade of extremely positive interactions, and i think that's worth a lot, especially in this industry.

#this isnt to say you can only support 'perfect' or 'good' people--not at all. but given this community is based around their personalities #i think it would be difficult for fans to continue to support them if dnp were assholes regularly #they always smile so genuinely in photos too #also. this pedestal some people place on others is why i never want to meet any of my heroes. cause i dont think a 2 minute interaction is #enough to judge anyone. no matter what it won't be what it's 'supposed' to be. but it isnt their fault.#dnp #c.text #dan and phil #answered #phan #<- for the fandometrics

i got a goose tattooed on the inside of my forearm today and it was a flash piece but it's my favorite tattoo already it means everything to me i could sob

#i love geese so much and so deeply i named my dog after them #goose is my black dragon dog and my loyal faithful companion and my entire world #i just love these birds #they are so misunderstood as aggressive and scary when really they just are sensitive to spatial pressure #and they need a wider diameter than humans are often willing to give #but they are so beautiful i love their long graceful necks and how i can recognize their sounds anywhere #and that no matter where i live i see their little v's in the sky #and of course wild geese by mary oliver is one of the first poems i fell in love with #my english teacher deborah read it aloud to us in high school and it made me want to go outside and to stay alive #and when my gf and i first started dating i knew i loved her for lots of reasons but one of them was that she also loved geese #she told me she had a shared folder with her family members titled “geese i've seen” that she would put her goose photos in #so her entire family could witness them with her #i remember when i was sick with anorexia a few weeks before i was hospitalized a v of canadian geese flew over me on my way into work #and these big fluffy snowflakes were falling down and i could hear them calling #and it made my eyes well up #and i hoped they would get somewhere warm enough for winter #whether or not people have respect for them is a wonderful metric for gauging somebody's character #at the grocery store i worked at when i was 18 the only coworker i grew close to had a similar affinity for geese #she had a necklace of one #a little silver glinting goose in flight :'')#personal

Hate Hate Hate the ai crochet pattern bullshit on Etsy. I’ve found a really cute dragon pattern, I love it! But… it’s just giving me the icks

like:

Im not sure man. The horns aren’t the same and there’s no symmetry for different horns. The dragons left eye doesn’t look stitched at all. The blush could be applied with blusher (I’ve seen that in patterns before) or it could be AI fucking up. It looks like chunky yarn but the instructions say 4ply. Maybe it’s smaller than it appears in the photos. There’s no reviews saying if the pattern is AI or not. Maybe it’s a real pattern, maybe my instincts are right and I’ve found one before someone points out the scam. I don’t know man
