I HC that Astarion is a human (elven) boa constrictor, and getting out of his arms is no simple task, especially if he's cold. This is a burden that Asmodea is more than happy to bear.

B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

Asmodea's quite fond of Astarion's hands, both for aesthetic and practical purposes.

Asmodea spent roughly a decade as a travelling bard prior to the events of BG3, and went all in into the slutty bard stereotype. For her sex was just something fun, to have in abundance and not take seriously.

It's not always romantic per se, but they trust each other completely in the moment, including trusting each other to be open / voice their needs or limits.

One of my headcanons for how they handled Astarion's issues with sexual intimacy is that they gradually eased back into it over time, including by doing things like masturbating for each other but not otherwise touching.

K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)

It's more Asmodea's, Astarion doesn't really care either way but goes along with it, but a bit of risky voyeurism / semi-public sex.

They both talk a lot of shit during sex, and have a lot of fun doing that.

The immediate words out of Astarion's mouth the first time they had sex on the ceiling were "We need to do this again".

It's part of the game, especially if it starts in a place or at a time where they could not possibly actually do anything.

Asmodea is loud, I think Astarion is more of a gasper / grunter.

W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

In my longfic, I have them regularly seduce and 'lure' other people into their bed, for them both to have sex with and Astarion to drink from. (No, they don't kill their guests, everything including the blood is strictly consensual) He does it as a twist of what he had to do for Cazador, but safe and on his own terms, to try to replace those memories and associations with positive ones.

Does it work? Is it even a good idea? How should I know, I'm not a psychologist, and neither is Astarion.

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Nothing out of the ordinary for Asmodea, and we've all seen Astarion's scars.

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

It’s strange—even on this blog, where I can be a n o n y m o u s, I still find myself thinking about how I come across. I want to be honest, but there’s this subtle pull to craft a version of myself that feels more polished. I catch myself editing my words, curating the vibe of my blog, and choosing the aesthetic that feels just right. It’s not about how I look—more about how I m o v e through the world, the parts of me I show, and the parts I keep to myself.

In a world that’s increasingly filtered through screens, I sometimes wonder how much of myself is actually me. Digital spaces offer this strange power: I can choose how I present myself, how I engage, and what pieces of me I want to share. F r e e d o m comes with it, but so does a quiet uncertainty. Even with all this control, I’m still navigating the same internal landscape. The only difference is that now, it’s through a screen.

These s p a c e s draw me in because they let me express things I might not say out loud—thoughts that feel too complicated or vulnerable in the real world. It’s comforting to know that if someone resonates with me, it’s not because I’ve bared every detail of myself, but because I’ve been honest in the way I’ve chosen to show up.

But even with that, I still hold back. I don’t take photos or videos at concerts or music festivals, even though those are some of my favorite places. Sami considers himself an eccentric combination of intellectual and practical qualities. While he values freedom and autonomy, he also craves stability and security. B I O G R A P H Y

Sami was born to Daniel Avery, a traveling hunter that he never had a good relationship with, and Imani El-Amari, an Egyptian museum director from Cairo. He is the oldest of two, with his younger sister May currently studying how to be a chef in Paris, France. Both of them grew up knowing about their father's true lineage but neither of whom were excited to follow his footsteps.

That was, until Sami lost the love of his life, Ann Cai, to a dark witch. Since that day, he vowed to find her killer and get revenge, not knowing it was a light witch that caused Ann's death and Ann had sacrificed herself to save the same witch's life. Ann had always been kind and compassionate. Sometimes, too much for her own good. Whereas Sami had never been the same, always fixated and obsessed with his plans and the general concept of order.

When he arrived in Westray, he tried to avoid his late father's family, only approaching them whenever he wanted to learn something his old man never taught him. It didn't take him long to take over the Daily Dawn, considering his last name and his actual work experience, having been a journalist himself prior to his arrival in town.

These days, Sami sticks to his duties, biding his time until he can find his lover's killer. He believes Westray to be his best resource in his quest for revenge.

Sami has rhotacism. He pronounces the letter "r" as the letter "w" when it's in the first syllable but he doesn't have a problem when it's the last syllable (eg, river as "wiver").

Sami studied journalism at the University of Phoenix in Arizona. He had met Ann Cai in Jiufen, Taiwan, when he traveled there for his first assignment writing for an online magazine. She perished in Phoenix, after leaving her home to be with him. They had been together for three years.

Sami's favorite food is shawarma, though he also fancies sushi (with sake), tacos (with tequila), and beef stroganoff (with vodka).

HIS MOTHER – While his father has already perished, his mother is still out there, having returned to Cairo, where she now works as a museum director once again. She has always been supportive of Sami but does not like the idea of him wasting his time on Ann's killer. “ Let go, my son. Let her, and you, rest. ”

HIS SISTER – May Avery El-Amari is currently using their mother's last name due to her dislike of their father's lineage. She is currently in Paris, France, learning to be a chef from one of its renowned masters. Like her mother, she is supportive of her big brother, too, but also wants to see Ann's killer get justice, having considered her as her sister. In time, she will get the urge to take to the streets and practice her hunter skills. Maybe she'll even visit Westray one of these days. “ Bro, I sent you something. Did you get it yet? ”

HIS ANCHORS – Anyone who can keep him connected to the real world, outside of his vengeful mindset. Sami sometimes forgets he needs friends, maybe even more than friends, to root him in place. “ When was the last time you ate? ”
