Hiiii!!! I'm always happy to rant about all the characters I keep in special jars xD

(The list isn't in any specific order because I honestly don't think I could choose just ONE favorite above the rest)

1. Daud from Dishonored: he's a total piece of shit, a pathetic magic man full of death and guilt and I love him, which means I want to stab him with a fork

2. Billie Lurk from Dishonored: she's also full of guilt (most of my faves are lol). Billie is so damn cool and she can have a little murder, as a treat. Her toxic father/daughter dynamic with Daud drives me insane (she also needs to stab him with a fork, tbh)

3. Hadrian Blackwater from the Riyria series: a gentle giant with an equally giant sword. A total sweetheart (also filled with guilt... what a surprise), but also very much the most lethal man in the room.

4. Cassandra Cain from DC comics: did I mention guilt??? And redemption???? I love her so, so much. She's so important to me.

5. Damian Wayne from DC comics: I'm sure by now you're already tired of me repeating "guilt and redemption". Anyway, he's my little boy and he deserves all the pets.

6. Selina Kyle from DC comics: MY QUEEN. MY GODDESS. She could slap me and I would thank her. She could empty my wallet and I would offer my bank information as well. She could...

7. Viktor from Arcane: I can't begin to describe how I feel about Viktor. I relate to him a normal amount.

8. Éowyn from LOTR: the badass shieldmaiden or Rohan, so full of bravery and compassion and love.

9. Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit: the epitome of "yeah I'll do it but I'll complain the whole time". Every time Bilbo thinks about how much he misses his sofa and his books I mutter a little "same, dude". He's just like me fr.

10. Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows: amazing, breathtaking, wonderful, badass, the world doesn't deserve her but she deserves her own pirate ship so she can hunt down all the assholes who hurt her and others <3

11. The Uncanny X-Men: I had to mention them as a bonus, okay? I tried to pick just one character of that era of X-Men (my favorite lineup of the team), but I genuinely couldn't. I love them all so much (except you, Charles Xavier. You can go eat dirt)

ppl who've seen howl's moving castle and not read the book would be stunned to know that

A. The real world exists in that universe and Howl is from Wales- his real name is Howell Jenkins

B. Sophie is a witch; she speaks life into things like hats, sticks, scarecrows, etc.

C. The scarecrow wasn't just some prince who got cursed and left on the side of the road, he's a prince who was taken apart by the Witch, who used pieces of his body to create the perfect man. He's wondering around looking for the missing pieces of his body

D. Howl has a human skull in his castle that belonged to the prince. When the scarecrow puts it on it can speak

E. In the book, it doesn't show howl & Sophie's relationship change like in the movie. They hold hands at the end of the book while ignoring everyone talking to them

F. Markl's name is Michael, and he's dating Sophie's youngest sister Martha, who runs the bakery that Lettie ran in the movie

G. Sophie has two younger sisters, Martha & Lettie, who switched places because Martha wanted to work at a bakery and Lettie wanted to learn magic, so they used a spell to disguise themselves

H. Howl courted Lettie for a period of time

I. Howl has a sister, Megan, who doesn't think too highly of him

J. Howl went to college

K. The black section leads to the real world, not the war scene you saw in the movie. There's no color for that in the book

L. There are more than 4 colors on the door selection

M. Heen is supposed to be a human cursed to be a dog, and he doesn't work for madame suliman

N. The person who taught howl was actually Mrs. Pentstemmon, who is killed by the Witch of the Waste

O. Madame suliman isn't a character in the book. She (might) be based off of wizard suliman, also named Ben sullivan (who is from wales), who went off to go kill the Witch and ended getting killed himself, and whose body parts were also used by the witch to make the perfect man

P. The witch of the waste was killed very quickly. Her demon, a woman from the human world named Mrs. Angorian, set out to find Howl and kill him.

Q. In the book, Howl spends a very long time in the bathroom preparing himself to go out and get another girl to fall in love him with him :/

R. Howl gets a cold and he basically convinces Michael that he's gonna die and gets him to do everything for him

S. Sophie's not allowed to mess with the spiders :/

T. Sophie doesn't get Calcifer to like her by telling him she likes his spark. She just bullies him into listening to her.

U. Sophie and Calcifer still have the deal, but Calcifer is trying to give her hints throughout the story so she can figure out what's up w Howl & Calcifer

V. Howl gets drunk. Very drunk. He says he is "cone sold stober" when he is, in fact not

W. Sophie gets mad at him and cuts up one of his suits.

Some 80s Hatter Sistes moments/headcanons from my fanfiction WIP

"When Martha was even younger (although in Sophie's eyes that meant being the most of a baby), her favourite thing to do was to sit right next to Lettie, in front of the window, asking Sophie to hold her on her lap and list the things she had seen that day. These undoubtedly long lists included dozens of crows, a hundred friendly smiles, and at least one cake from Caesari, a bakery chain known throughout the city and several coastal villages. Her voice sounded so iridescent and inspiring that Sophie thought that if she looked out the window, she would see hundreds of bars of pure gold, and not a bakery. Lettie, on the other hand, was always gazing out at the river at the edge of the pier — wiser in those years, she always asked her older sister when she would be able to see the sea up close. She knew that it was mostly Sophie's dream, and that made her sigh even heavier."

"In order to stay together and look after their father's condition, each of the three sisters went to the same small school on the outskirts of the city, where an old, tired middle school teacher kept repeatedly highlighting Martha's talent for the sciences. At that time, Lettie would indiscriminately raise her hand to answer every question, while Sophie would sit quietly at the back of the class, deep in a book or darning another handkerchief."

"Martha had brought at least a dozen dresses, recipes and books with every possible inscription, struggling to fit them into the two small suitcases she had chose for herself. Sophie tried to help her by pushing down on the lid of the suitcase from above, causing it to slam shut with a dull protesting sound. Lettie sorted out her own belongings quite quickly, and it seemed that all her clothes could easily fit into one small, narrow square.
