I’ve found that I simply don’t personally vibe with noise all that much as a music genre, but while I was listening to some songs on youtube to try it out I read a comment in the comment section from a guy with PTSD who said that he likes it because it makes it impossible for him to think and it drowns out all his intrusive thoughts in a way no other music genre can, calming him down. Gave me a newfound appreciation for noise and even had me try it out for my own intrusive thoughts and honestly…….yeah lol

“Humans are inherently selfish--" Then why do so many cultures value hospitality, to the point of dictating it in their religions? Why is it so common for hosts to offer their visitors their best food, and as much of it as they can? At some point, multiple cultures decided that they knew what it felt like to be alone and vulnerable, and promised each other to never let those who stay with them feel that way. That doesn't sound very "inherently selfish" to me.

quick reminder for everyone who hasnt seen my notice in the replies: please do not use this post as a place to put all of your really traumatic school experiences. you may only see yours, but i have the potential to see dozens of replies talking about self harm, suicide, family/pet death, etc. it would be really great of everyone to not do that to me.

also, i just hate contract grading and this post was, surprisingly, not intended to hit sixty thousand notes. if you can possibly even imagine.
