Meanwhile in Hawaii, WTF and 141 are having a nice BBQ at Alana's older brother's place. Just to spend some time off from work and also celebrating their mission that they have taken. The two different teams had really enjoyed their time off. Seeing them having their fun and freedom.

Even for those two special friends from two different teams.

Nigel and Ruz were just talking and laughing while sitting at the edge of the pool. Dipping their legs into the water while nudging each other a bit from time to time as they were telling some jokes.

"No REALLY! Aggie and I have been planning to prank Tiala for MONTHS but she STILL manages to escape from it!" The red-haired man said with a smile but also with a bit of a disappointing tone. "I swear! It's like she has a 6th sense!"

The medic started to laugh. "I mean, she DID grow up with little brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. Who did pranks on her BEFORE. So I guessed it's a habit that she knows of what you two are planning."

Nigel sighs but chuckles a bit as he lean back, placing his two hands on the ground behind him. He looked around to see his team and Ruz's as they were getting along. Before his green eyes had landed on Gaz and Tiala was talking. "Well, would you look at that? Seems like Shark isn't biting his ass off."

Ruz looked at where Nigel was looking before smiling a bit to see the Sergeant and the First Sergeant are getting quite comfy with each other. "Ah yes. Seems like she isn't. Which is a good thing."

He smiled before sighing softly as he looked up in the sky. "......you know, that night? At Las Almas? I thought Kanoa won't accept me ever since I've been working with the SC."

The female medic looked at the Sergeant. Knowing what he’s going to talk about. “Nigel?”

He took a deep breath before looking up to the blue sunny sky. “I know this is random but…I couldn’t help but to feel like…I don’t deserve this. I mean, Alejandro made me feel like I don’t deserve it. But I don’t blame him.” He said in a sad tone as he brushed his hand through his red hair. And closes his eyes, keep hearing those words of Alejandro even everyone else who had seen him still being a Shadow.

Then he suddenly felt something touching his other hand that was on the ground. He opened his eyes and saw Ruz with her worried looks.

Ruz held onto Nigel’s hand before giving him a smile. A soft smile, hoping that Nigel would listen to what she’s going to say. “Nigey…listen.” She said in her soft voice. “I’m sure Kanoa had trusted you ever since you saved him and helped him escape from that base. And it takes a while for Tiala to trust you but when she saw you of how you helped her brother. You have NO idea of how grateful she was.”

Nigel perked his head up to hear that. “Wait…really?”

She nodded and smiled a bit. “Yeah…she doesn’t want me to tell you that but I thought you wanna hear it. Trust me. She was panicking after hearing the news of her brother being interrogated but…when she and I went to get him ourselves. She saw you, helping Kanoa. That’s when she realized that you’re not like the OTHERS.”

Nigel was very surprised.

The woman who he thought would give cold shoulders to the one who she doesn’t trust. Had actually had a change of heart. Why, though?

That would be the question to unanswered until another time. He looked at his dear friend before smiling at her. “So…do you think she’ll forgive me?”

Ruz shrugged before smiling at him while still holding onto his hand. “If Kanoa forgives you, even me. I’m sure Tia will come around. Just give her some time to think. Besides, Agnes forgives you RIGHT there when you two met. And even though she saw you used to be working with the Shadows. She knows that you’ve changed so well.”

Hearing this from her had made Nigel’s heart feel light again. He gave his best bright smile to his friend. “You’re right. And…thank you, Ruzzy.”

She gave him a nudge on his arm. “No problem. And also, if you still feel like that again.” As Ruz slowly slid her hand from Nigel’s hand and up to his arm. Which it makes him confused before he got pushed down into the pool.

“WAH!”

The medic had started laughing before seeing Nigel popped his head out of the water. She had given him a teasing wink. “I’ll help you COOL off from it.”

The red-haired man was just staring at her so dumbfounded. As he was not expecting that but gave her a smirk. “Oh you cheeky bugger- COME HERE!”

Ruz started to scream before getting her legs pulled and landed into the water.

Some of the gang saw this and laughed before some of them joined in.

I don't know if you've seen the character relationship chart for the new SnK final season, but In terms of Levi's relationship with Eren, Levi sees him as someone who needs to be strictly disciplined, while Levi's relationship with Jean, Sasha and Connie is written as "trust them". Apart from them and Hange, there is nothing about Levi's relationship with Mikasa and Armin and that surprised me to be honest lol. After all, most people (myself included) have always felt that Levi has always been closely associated with the EMA and they have always seen him as a kind of father figure for them, someone who looks after them or reassures them because he thinks they are important for the future and someone said something like: "Levi trust Jean, Connie and Sasha because he knows how easily Armin and Mikasa are attracted to Eren." I think that's more descriptive.

I haven't seen that, but that is interesting.

Levi had Eren pegged from the first moment he saw him. He called him a monster, or said something to the effect of Eren having a monstrous will, and that he couldn't be controlled. That if anyone tried to cage him, he would break out of it. Levi specifically requested to be put in charge of Eren, then, because he knew he was the only one who likely could control him, who could kill him if the need arose. Levi knew from the start that Eren was dangerous. Of course, he couldn't have known in what manner Eren's monstrosity would manifest. He couldn't have known that Eren would actually end up trying to destroy the very thing the SC was sworn to protect, that is, humanity. I think Levi believed Eren's wish to fight for humanity against the titans was sincere, and that Eren, because of his ability to turn into a titan, was an indispensable weapon for humanity, one they couldn't afford not to utilize, but he also knew that Eren had the potential to go off the rails and out of control, and that he needed to, as it says in the character chart, be disciplined, put on a leash so he wouldn't end up causing more harm than good. Levi was, from the start, willing to kill Eren if it came down to it. It's actually really interesting, how that parallels what eventually comes to pass. Levi leads Mikasa toward that final blow. He creates the opening for her to kill Eren, and it's Levi's leadership and command that gives them the opportunity to kill Eren. So in the end, Levi was right. He was the only one who could stop Eren, basically. While Mikasa delivered the killing blow, Levi was the one who made it possible.

Amrin and Mikasa are, for sure, blinded somewhat by their loyalty and love for Eren, so it doesn't surprise me that it lists Connie, Jean and Sasha as people Levi can trust, while saying nothing about Armin and Mikasa. That person saying what they did about Armin and Mikasa being attracted to Eren is true. They fail to see what type of person Eren really is, up until the point they simply can't deny it. Even after he starts the Rumbling, Mikasa and Armin are still trying to find ways to "save" him and give him the benefit of the doubt. It's only when the situation becomes totally untenable, and Levi has to TELL them that they have to kill Eren, in fact he has to essentially order it, that they finally accept it. Mikasa herself risked the SC's missions more than once over her blind loyalty to Eren, something Levi has born witness to personally. Mikasa nearly killed him in her blind loyalty to Eren. So I think, as Levi was always aware of the type of person Eren was, he was also always aware that Mikasa and Armin's own ability to make judgements regarding him would be skewed and not fully trustworthy. They were simply too close to Eren to judge him objectively.

can we hear more about JNRZ Patrols please

JNRZ Patrols is gonna be a a bit of a plot device in JNRZ AU, that's mostly just gonna give me a chance to write fun little one offs and a way to give team JNRZ more of their own agency as Huntsman in Training.

The set up for JNRZ Patrols is that the main characters realize that there's seems to be a discrepancy in variety of missions handed out between Huntsmen in Training and Specialist Cadets. While the SC get escort missions, liaisons with local law enforcements, participate weapons experiments etc. etc. The only real missions the HiT get are "Go outside and kill some stuff while keeping a tally." This leads to Jaune asking his team "Why don't we just go and ask people if they need help with anything?"

So then JNRZ Patrols is born, and it creates a whole bunch of fun opportunities for side stories and quick adventures that lets me explore the civilian side of Atlas.

Like what if some of the local kids requested Team JNRZ to go investigate that mysterious old house on the hill to prove that it isn't haunted.

Or a local Huntsman is looking for new sparring partners to keep his skills fresh, but it turns out the guy is ninety years old and way past prime, and his grandkids encourage JNRZ to take the L.

Or maybe a local high schooler told his bully that he was bringing a Huntress to prom and would be a laughing stock if he showed up stag.

Fun cute slice of life stuff like that that doesn't have to involve big villainous conspiracies. When it's actually introduced into the story, I plan on making JNRZ Patrols it's own collection of shorts on Fanfiction.net

Kick Russia out of the Security Council of the United Nations

I have meant to write this message for a while, and finally submitted it in the form of the UN. If you agree with it, my ask to you is to submit it too. I also have letters to various European and American bureaucracies in support of arming of Ukraine and demanding more sanctions on Russia. You can request them from me too. Please help me to do something to aid Ukraine in its fight against the Russian colonial conquest. Dear United Nations:

The mission of the Security Council, according to the statement on the website, is to provide security. With Russia being a threat to security and waging a genocidal war of hatred, annihilation, and conquest against the sovereign country of Ukraine, it is clear to everyone in the world the way it has not been before: Russia can no longer remain on the Security Council of the UN. Russia has a history of abuse of the veto right, having vetoed in succession the vital decisions that should have called it to account for its war crimes and atrocities.

Russia usurped the seat of the USSR on the Security Council of the UN despite that the successor of the USSR was the Commonwealth of Independent Nations, not Russia and, specifically, not the "Russian Federation"--a country that is living through a crisis yielding to its imperial ambitions, a country that never confronted its ambitions, and likely a country, too, that may not remain on the map for a long period of time given its spread across the vast territory, poor infrastructural development, and the severity of sanctions justly imposed on it.

Given the unlawlessness with which Russia took the seat of the Security Council, usurping the place of the republic that constituted the Soviet Union, and given that Russia is currently a global threat that ramps one global refugee crisis after another (Syria, Ukraine, African countries to follow), given the scale of the destruction it wages destroying cities (Aleppo, Mariupol, Popasna, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk), given the history of invasions that Russia continues to perpetuate (Georgia, Ukraine), given that Russia not only orchestrates the world hunger, in effect the Holodomor 2.0., but also uses it as a blackmail tactic against "the West" and blames its victims for it (Ukraine and "the West)--given all that, the time has come to admit: Russia cannot remain on the Security Council of the UN.

Kick Russia out of the UN SC. If this is "not possible," as some argue, to kick Russia out, then the time has come for the UN to self-disband, as it has failed profoundly in its current mission and will not be able to live up to it having the structure it now has. The League of Nations self-disbanded as it failed to prevent WWII having left the space for the UN. It is time, then, if the UN cannot exclude Russia from the SC, to disband the UN and give space for the new organization that will be able to respond adequately to the challenges that the world that has emerged poses. Delaying the inevitable will only undermine the remainders of the beliefs that humanity still harbors in its leaders to organize against the wars and hunger of the future.

Hello, this is not a question but a thank you post. I have realised Reikasa artists never post arts of Reiner being abused by his partner, and disguise it as hate ship. Knowing Reiner is suicidal and have no will to defend himself it is also good to see Mikasa in canon is the enemy who didn't physically attack Reiner outside of the battlefield. Healthy relationships are always appreciated, have a nice day.

Hello Anonie! Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and nods! to this OTP. Personally, i'm more of a fic writer/content editor, and most FA I've shared here are the commissions I've engaged from the fandom's fan artists but it'll always be in the direction/theme that I personally requested on. One thing about ReiKasa being a rarepair is that, our FA is limited in quantity but amazing in quality. I am also blessed to have observe how this ship has grown from 6 years ago, along with it, content, from 90% fellow content creator who embodies the positive spirit that I've shared with the fandom since 2016.

Yes, I personally share your sentiments on FA who treats Reiner's suicide scene & his PTSD symptoms either as a joke or an avenue for them to fulfill hidden repressed, sick fantasies (I can tell you that some fans & fan content creator do get off on seeing/reading respectable characters in such degrading, morally ambiguous carnal/non-carnal acts) Whenever we see something distasteful, we can only ignore & move on (Ignorance is a good negative behaviour management) and focus on the more positive behaviors/contents instead.

However, there are some preferences that are indeed morally acceptable but Reiner himself deserves to be treated with class and respect of his own in such fan contents. E.g BDSM? Go for it! (Make it even more tasteful than Fifty Shades!) That is something I wish more Reiner fans understand. But a handful of them feel like hey if Isayama's taking liberty in torturing Reiner, it's free buffet for us FCs! We're gonna put him in the most heinous, degrading, uncomfortable situations/positions because we also secretly have an aggression towards this ship! (I've seen a few fan writers of my OTP did this. True story 🥲)

Regarding Mikasa, I am grateful that you understand her very well when it comes to her perception towards non-allies or enemies. We've seen Mikasa holding herself back from intervening with Reiner's AT in Liberio (unlike Galliard's JT) because she'd knew Reiner was not actively posing threat to their mission's objective. Jaw Titan was not one of the objectives. She could have intervene with Reiner but she didn't. Apart from the battlefield, if there's no reason for her to take arms against Reiner, she won't. She, along with the remaining SC, understood the meaning of setting aside their differences to work for a greater cause or overcoming a more global threat through the alliance.

It'll be another post required for this, but Mikasa indeed has been shown to be concern for and care about their new allies' safety & life. The same goes with Reiner. These two communicate more through their body language, expression and eyes than words. It can be observed since ch.124 onwards.

Trump dominated the news today, which is usually a sign of negative news stories and his need to create distractions from them.

There were certainly negative news stories. The acting inspector general for the State Department is resigning, effective Friday. Stephen Akard took office less than three months ago after Trump fired his predecessor, Steve Linick, apparently at the urging of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Linick was investigating Pompeo’s emergency declaration to permit an $8.1 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia over the objections of lawmakers of both parties.

Linick was also investigating the story that Trump asked the U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain, Robert “Woody” Johnson, to ask the UK’s then-Secretary of State for Scotland, David Mundell, to bring the British Open to Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland in 2018. The British Open is a valuable event: in 2019, it brought more than 100 million pounds to the host town where it was played. (This translates to more than $130 million.)

The report about this attempt to use the power of the government for Trump's financial interests was about to come out when Linick was fired. The second-in-command at the UK embassy, deputy chief of mission Lewis Lukens, whom Johnson pushed out of his position after Lukens called the golf course request unethical and possibly illegal, gave an interview to Rachel Maddow tonight. He said State Department leadership is unwilling to try to stop this sort of self-dealing amongst Trump’s appointees because they know they will lose.

Akard gave no reason for his departure, but it might well be connected with either of these investigations.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is investigating potential insider trading over the late July launch of Kodak Pharmaceuticals, a new branch of the old camera and film company intended to begin the process of bringing the production of drugs back to the United States.

Under the Defense Production Act, the Trump administration provided a $765 million loan to support the launch of Kodak Pharmaceuticals. The deal shot Kodak stock upward by more than 2,757%. But there was suspicious activity around this deal. The day before Trump’s announcement of it, the Eastman Kodak Company gave its CEO, Jim Continenza, 1.75 million stock options. Indeed, since May, when talks with the administration about manufacturing the ingredients for pharmaceuticals began, Kodak handed out 240,000 stock options to board members.

Kodak says the timing of the options was a coincidence: the board's compensation committee meeting happened to fall on the day before the announcement. When asked by a reporter about what had happened at Kodak, Trump says he “wasn’t involved in the deal.” This afternoon, the co-director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement Steve Peikin announced he is stepping down. He did not give a reason.

In an interview on the Fox News Channel, Trump said that schools should reopen because children are “almost immune from COVID-19.” Facebook removed the video because “this video includes false claims that a group of people is immune from COVID-19 which is a violation of our policies around harmful COVID misinformation.” The Trump campaign tweeted the video, and Twitter, too, required the account to delete it, blocking the account until it did.

Former acting US Attorney General Sally Yates testified today before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is investigating the 2016 FBI investigation of the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. Yates defended the FBI’s observation of Trump’s former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn. That investigation was necessary to see if Flynn's interactions with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak endangered national security, she said. By promising to end US sanctions against Russia imposed by the Obama administration after Russia invaded Ukraine and then attacked the 2016 election, "General Flynn had essentially neutered the US government's message of deterrence," Yates said.

In the hearing, Judiciary Committee Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC) argued that the FBI interview conducted in January 2017, after Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak had come to light, were simply an attempt to reopen a closed case to hurt Trump. Yates reminded him that the FBI had decided to close the Flynn case before the Kislyak conversations, and those chats changed the landscape. "They were absolutely material to a legitimate investigation…. Interviewing General Flynn was right at the core of the FBI's investigation at this point to try to discern what are the ties between the Trump administration and the Russians."

Yates called the attempt of the Justice Department, now overseen by Attorney General William Barr, attempt to dismiss the Flynn case after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI “highly irregular.”

As so many of recent Republican investigators have, though, Graham seemed less concerned with learning what happened than with establishing his own narrative. He interrupted Yates so many times both another Senator and the witness herself called him out on it.

And then there were the distractions.

With the White House and House leaders unable to reach an agreement on a coronavirus bill, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows told reporter Wolf Blitzer that if Congress could not pass a bill, Trump would issue an executive order to cover the issue.

The Constitution establishes that all appropriations bills must originate in the House of Representatives. The House did, in fact, pass a coronavirus bill back in May, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell declined to take it up. Now he is sitting out the last-minute negotiations as lawmakers try to find a way to help out the roughly 32 million Americans currently receiving unemployment benefits, since the $600 weekly boost the federal government has added since the spring has ended.

With the Republican National Convention in disarray, Trump today floated the idea of giving his speech accepting the nomination from the White House because, he says, the Hatch Act prohibiting the use of public office for partisan purposes does not apply to the president.

This prompted pushback from members of both parties. The Hatch Act prohibits the use of public office for partisan purposes. While the president and the vice president are indeed exempt from that act, none of the staff that would have to be involved are. Further, using the White House to give a major campaign speech is a major breach of both tradition and decorum. It’s likely that Trump floated this idea as a distraction from the ongoing bad news about coronavirus, or some of the other stories circulating that reflect badly on the administration.

The distractions did not manage to cover up for this:

Tonight, the New York Times broke the story that the Manhattan District Attorney subpoenaed Trump’s records from Deutsche Bank last year and the bank handed them over. Deutsche Bank was the only bank willing to work with Trump after his many bankruptcies. It lent Trump or his company more than $2 billion in the past twenty years.

Earlier this week, we learned that the Manhattan district attorney’s office is looking not only at hush money paid to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal to keep them quiet about sexual affairs with Trump, but also at the crimes of tax fraud, insurance fraud, and bank fraud. The district attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr, is pushing to get Trump’s tax returns to cross-check them with the Deutsche Bank records.

At about 7:30 tonight, the New York Attorney General’s Press Office announced that Attorney General Letitia James will be making “a major national announcement” tomorrow at 11:30 AM.

Sum:  There will always be that something which breaks the camel’s back. Sometimes, this is more obvious then others.

Your childhood memory could be whittled down to a series of chairs. Plastic chairs that stick to your bare legs in the summer. Metal seats that scrape and drag across the tile. Sometimes you’d get nice, soft chairs, or a couch to hang out on. Those typically turned into naps.

It was during one of these memories in a spinning chair that you started to feel. The secretary you’ve been plopped next took one glance and went back to her computer. Her annoyance was coming off from her like a horrible smell. Every click on the keyboard was like a gunshot right to your temple. Just made worse by watching her; click click click she’s banging into your head. Something had to be said…

“There’s magazines by the couch, why don’t you go read them?” She suddenly orders with a quick spin of her chair.

The verbal slap took you from the chair and onto the couch. Your feet hit the ground maybe twice, practically jumping onto the couch. This sending another hit of annoyance right to your head; eyes closing against it until the secretary looked away.

Those magazines did little to help with all the new feelings. Being further away from her helped with annoyance but now frustration was rearing its ugly head. Frustration and a lie bursting through your system with colors that’d make a sunset jealous. No amount of staring at articles and pictures of people way richer than you could get rid the emotions.

With both hands on either side of your head it was only a matter of seconds before Mama Moira appears kneeling in front of you. Snapping at the secretary to reschedule everything and that they are not done just yet.

“I’m sorry,” you had muttered in the car.

“It’s okay, they weren’t going to give me anything. Lawsuit threats will do that.” She says, a gentle hand rubbing your back.

“They’re threatening you?” You ask.

“It’s more like an,” she pauses to think how to best explain. Her hand pausing in it’s movements as she things. “it’s an aggressive suggestion. Nothing to worry about, Sweetie.”

“I think they were lying, though.” This idea was coming out of your mouth before you stop it. The soft hand of comfort has that power. “They’re lying about law suiting you.”

“You try calling that bluff with a lawyer next to you,” She says, pulling her hand away. “Oh, Sweetie, could you hear through the door? I’m so sorry.”

“No, I mean-I couldn’t hear. I just know they’re lying, mom.”

“How could know that?”

“I just do, okay.”

Moira was one of those rare mothers who wasn’t going to dig and dig for info you couldn’t give. Instead she focused on the road ahead of her, both physically and metaphorically. Mentally listing off all the people she could pay or guilt trip into watching you.

Whether you looked like her or not Moira was your mother, you just happened to be the question baby. Someone she loved more than anything but also an ironic reminder of her memory loss. In the interest of saving time she didn’t dwell on it too long, now just living with the new nickname of ‘Mama Moira.’

Moira never outright said what happened after following your advice. Only that your babysitter lasted for a single night, then you were back in a chair. This time sitting in the room just a few feet behind your mother. Staring at magazines while trying to feel something you didn’t really understand.

The closest Charles got to looking through a hospital window at his child was cerebro. The first was just to check up: How were you doing? Healthy? Happy? Back then you were just a baby staring at space. Sometimes into Moira’s face who would either coo or talk to you like a colleague. Asking for a baby’s opinion on whether there were any typos in her report.

He never really learned whether she did fix those typos. Over the years you became just another one of his children. A blue bundle of stars in cerebro that grew every time he searched for the others. Teachers and students came and became part of the school as your chairs were moved inside the meetings.

Once or twice he sat in on those meetings with you. Setting just on the edge of your mind without intruding on any secrets. Just enough to taste your empathy, and see your legs swinging while on sitting on those chairs. The unexpected consequence of his check ins came from the emotions connected to his brain.

A warmer, cool blue of pride that’s felt in your head without seeing who it was coming from. Typically, these stupid emotions came off strongest from the person closest to you. The closest was a woman whispering into another woman’s ear. She was like you, someone sitting just behind the action. Briefly mentioned as the translator, she wrote and spoke quietly.

Focusing solely on her and the blue faded in exchange for a mix of orange from fear and green from focus. Green was so overbearing only the slightest hint of anything else showed, and only when she was listening and writing. No hint of blue to be found.

Focusing on the others and the color could be found there sometimes. But those gave off a darker color blue then the cooler one. These were cocky, proud of themselves. They’d bleed into red when Mama Moira a certain thing, and then into fear. Sometimes into a silver lie, and those were the ones you had to remember. The rest you just had to try your best to not completely forget.

The cool blue color was easy to forget about over the years. It was just one of a rainbow of colors you were forced to learn about through your short life. From chair to chair they ranged and changed; little books filled with charts that became meaningless as more colors were added.

More chairs, more colors. One even being a helicopter, where you were supposed to be ease dropping on the emotions of your guide. Instead you were distracted by the many controls and buttons that somehow made sense to the woman behind the controls.

Although that woman was beaming a blue pride (probably from having a curious child audience) the cool blue wasn’t seen anywhere. By that point you had all but forgot about it. The curiosity only lasted as long as that first meeting had.

It was completely opposite on Charles’s end. It’s harder to forget someone when you actually know who they are. He was a father by nature; a figure to every student who has ever come into the school. They were just as much his children as you were. Seeing a bit of you, of your potential, in every one of them.

That bit hope lasted through finally being able to use his status to teach. It lasted through the adjustment to life in the chair and the care of students. It stretched into the draft when the first of the teachers began to meekly come into his office with sincere apologies. Men being called in and woman called home to help with the absents. He saw you in them too, less happily this time.

Hope began to starve after they were gone. When somewhere in the background Hank McCoy fiddles with a vial but doesn’t offer it just yet. When the school’s doors closed, and cerebro’s opened. Not searching for the children he has already lost, but the one he never forgot.

It’s hard to say what exactly broke the camel’s back. You’ve gotten used to keeping your sensitivity a secret. Mama Moira was open about there being others like you out there. She was open that they could be dangerous, and that you just weren’t ready yet.

Actually, it’s not that hard to find the trigger. Someone left out the wrong file and there it was: Charles Xavier’s school for gifted youngsters. Just a name and a few mentions of ‘mutant’ underlined. The poor, dumb, assistant who left it out ripping it from your hands before anything else could be read. Even with that little amount of information things started to bend.

They completely broke when Mama Moira went away. A mission where her little lie detector would be in too much danger. Instead letting one of the younger researchers play babysitter. A nice woman who saw nothing wrong with answering the questions of the curious office child. Not noticing that among the questions of what books you’re allowed there was another questions about files.

Maybe with the files you should have grabbed something about helicopters.

That nice pilot woman had become one of your favorite sitters. Letting you sit next to her during rides, showing the pedals and how to work the joystick.

The lift off was the hard part. This was the mantra working through your head over and over while trying to remember the steps. Hold the joystick, play with the peddles. Oh, snap, was it actually lifting off the ground?

Riding a helicopters as it leaves the ground is one thing. Leaving the ground, knowing that whether you fly, or crash was all up to you, was an entirely different feeling. One that turned your mantra to ‘oh no, oh no, oh no’.

“Lower the throttle, get back on the ground,” orange yellow of fear suddenly slapped the sense from you. It was coming from a voice that certainly wasn’t there a few seconds ago. “It’s okay, I’m a friend. Just go slow.”

Although he is in your peripheral vision it’s impressive that you didn’t whip around to look. Your own shock and his calmed voice making landing the only thing important. Although his voice is right next to your ear there is no change in the air at his presence. Half expecting a guiding hand to be placed on your shoulder while trying to land.

The helicopter is heavy when landing. Worse then when you lifted off the ground. An equally heavy thunk announced you’re landing safely. As safely as can be given the situation.

“Why would you try this?” The man asks.

Completely turning in the pilot’s chair you can finally look at the man. White male, average height. Long brown hair and serious scruff this side of a beard. Everything about him can be described down into a file. A file that Mama Moira has more then once left out in kid’s reach.

“Are you Professor Charles Xavier?” You ask.

“You’re not answering my question.”

“And you’re not answering mine,”

He takes a second to swallow. “Yes, I’m Charles Xavier.”

“Professor Charles-?”

“Just-I’m just Charles Xavier.” He corrects before you’re able to finish. Yellow of annoyance is mixing with the orange of fear. More yellow then orange is coming out. “Why would you try something like this? Why are you putting yourself in danger?”

Being scolded like this was keeping you in, yet another, chair.

“I’m different. Like you, like the others kinda different. She says I can’t talk about it to anyone.” Charles did not need to be a mind reader to know you were referring to Moira. “I don’t belong here; I belong with you guys.”

“Why a helicopter? Why not a car?” He asks.

“I don’t know how to drive.”

It’s like watching a computer boot up. He starts by pressing his lips together and then laughing softly. Putting his head down into his hands, his body shaking a little as he softly. If it weren’t for the blue you’ve only seen a handful of times you’d assume he was crying.

It takes a second to collect himself enough to speak again. “You can’t-you can’t fly a helicopter, either.” He sputters out, laughing back into his hands.

“It was flying, I was flying it.” You didn’t really know this man, not really. His emotions were familiar, and his face was in the file. But now he was just some guy laughing at you.

“Yes, you’re right. I’m sorry,” He says. Coughing away one last laugh. “I just can’t understand your thought process about leaving.”

At some point you were going to have to explain yourself to somebody. In the event that you were caught before take off you’d stay quiet until Mama Moira came back. If you had been injured by hitting the wrong button and crashed the helicopter, you’d play the part of the poor curious child. Now, if the plan had completely succeeded and you made it to the mansion? That was a plan you had yet to make. Probably try and wing it.

Now that you were expected to explain everything in a manner of seconds everything was coming up blank. You have already the gist out, but where were the details?

“I’ve seen what you’ve already done for your mother; how you’ve helped her and this entire base. You don’t need to leave.” He says when you don’t respond.

“I don’t belong here,” It’s a reiteration of your most important point.

He’s two different shades of blue listening to you. The first blue of pride that was slapped back into the forefront of your memory and a second one. The second was pale, almost clear, a kind of sadness that you wouldn’t be able to understand enough to describe until you’re older. This blue hurt to pay too much attention to, tears peaking at your eyes from being too close. It’s better to stay by the first blue.

This color was a representation of an A plus report card brought home after nights at the kitchen table. It was what made the slight curve in his mouth nearing towards a smile. It reflected back onto you, bringing a smile that Charles saw and made his own expression drop.

“You don’t belong at the school, either. There’s no one there, it’s closed.” He confesses.

“What?” You asked.

“Everything is gone. There’s no one in the mansion anymore, it’s abandoned. Everyone has left.” He says this as the pale blue of sadness takes over the pride.

Your plan to land and become part of the mansion took an odd turn after hearing this. Instead thinking about what might have happened if your plan had completed. Landing at the mansion just to find no one there. It would have been heartbreaking to find the mansion without anyone there. How long would you have stayed before giving up?

When you don’t say anything he walks forward, talking calmly. “Your mother is a good woman. The best thing for you is to stay here. There is nothing for you with me.”

“Why are you here then?” You say this as a demand instead of a plea. Standing up to stare him in the eyes.

The pale blue has officially overtaken the pride. Tears on both your eyes are enough to end the conversation. The man who has suddenly appeared behind you disappears just as quickly. Leaving you alone as the base finally notices that a children just tried to steal a helicopter.

Tanjirou is a very calm person, he can be very understanding but staying to much with Zenitsu, Inosuke and even Y/N got him tired.

Today is one of those days. The gang was assigned to a new mission and they had to travel to another town.

Zenitsu and Inosuke fought all the way to the town while Y/N tried to separate them but she ended up fighting Inosuke to stop bothering Zenitsu.

The girl always tries to protect her blonde friend. Y/N joined them after founding them in the same Wisteria house after a mission. Tanjirou and her clicked instantly while Inosuke just tried to picked a fight with her. Zenitsu on the other hand, tried to impress her. He found an opportunity with her since Nezuko didn't pay attention to his attempts to make her fall in love with him. So he tried his best to get close to Y/N.

Y/N is too oblivious to notice the feelings that Zenitsu has for her. She really cares for her friends but they always get on her nerves. Especially Inosuke, making her pay less attention to Zenitsu since she has to stop the blue haired boy from fighting everybody.

"Tanjirou! I didnt want to come to this mission!" Zenitsu cried again. He has been complaining about the mission all the way there.

"We'll be fine Zenitsu, don't worry. I bet that the mission is not that difficult!" Tanjirou tried to calm his friend.

"I'm going to beat this demon before you Kentaro!"

And so, Inosuke started another fight but this time with Tanjirou.

Meanwhile, Zenitsu and Y/N were walking behind them in silence. Zenitsu found himself hearing her heartbeat. It was peaceful and helped him to calm down.

Y/N saw Zenitsu relax from the corner of her eye. She was happy that the boy could calm down a little. She always worries too much about him and his tendency to think that he is going to die. This made her worry about him and sometimes she found herself just by his side trying to protect him.

How did this happen? They were just traveling to their mission so how the hell did they all got separated!?

Y/N didn't know how that happen but she did know that the Demon in front of her was far from weak. It wasn't an upper moon or lower moon but the Demon was super strong.

She didn't know how much time has passed but she was getting tired. Her breathing techniques were tiring her out fast and her legs hurt from all the physical endeavor.

'Come on Y/N! I just have to get close to the neck!'

She moved her katana in the direction of the Demon but it dodge her attack easily and took Y/N by her arm.

This made her drop her katana, defenseless to the creature in front of her.

The girl was too tired to react, she just accepted her fate, waiting for the Demon to end her life.

She began remembering all the good memories with her friends. Tanjirou being a mother to the group, Inosuke annoying the hell out of her, her and Nezuko bonding moments, and Zenitsu. Oh Zenitsu, she didnt get the chance to confess.

Getting all this thought invading her mind. She didnt heard her name being called.

Zenitsu was just running. First, he found a hideous demon, making him faint. Then he woke up and found that the Demon was just defeated. Gladly, Zenitsu run for his life and tried to found his friends.

So now he found himself in front of a demon trying to eat his crush.

Did he freak out? Yeah, a lot.

Did he just killed the Demon in a second? It looks like it?

Y/N opened her eyes, they were meet with yellow eyes full of worry in them, maybe some tears too.

She started to see clearly, she saw Zenitsu who was crying a river.

She gave him a weak smile, with some effort she moved her hand to cup his cheek in her palm.

She couldn't believe that Zenitsu began crying harder.

"Y-Y/N! I thought that you were dead!" he put his own hand over the hand that she has in his cheek. "I was sc-scared! I thought that I lost my chance to confess to you!"

She wasn't dying, she was just tired. But she understood how the boy felt. She would react the same way.

"I like you Zenitsu. A lot." she told him calmly.

"I like y-you too..." the hiccups didn't let him talk straight. "But please...! Please don't die..."

He brought the girl closer to his chest for her comfort and his own.

They stay in that position for a while. The girl feel asleep and Zenitsu took her in his arms. He found Tanjirou and Inosuke who had just finished the mission.

In their way back, Y/N kept sleeping in Zenitsu's back. He was happy that she found her just in time, he also made a promise to always try to be brave when Y/N is near to protect her if she needed to. At the same time, he knew that Y/N would protect him too.
