WIP Wednesday

I have no idea what this is yet and it's still untitled but here's what I'm working on these days!

“Hey sleephead, I’m here to spring you out of this joint!”

As the voice broke through her tired mental state, her eyes immediately shot open, surveying the area, taking in the sterile surroundings and locking into the sound of the voice, a voice that she wasn’t expecting.

“You gave us all quite a scare, Principessa.”

She knew that voice and when she finally processed the information past the brain fog she was experiencing, she became a lot more confused.

“You know they have stunt doubles for that sort of thing, right?”

Sitting up, she blurted out, “But I am a Black Belt in Judo, Tae Kwon Do and Karate.”

“I am well aware of your credentials,” A kiss on her forehead stunned her into silence for a moment. “But I’d rather you stay safe.”

“Sal Deluca, are you going soft on me?” Words slipped past her tongue before she could stop them, operating purely on instinct.

“What you are is lucky that all you’ve got to deal with now is recovering from your concussion and a broken foot.” Sal looked as though he was going to say something else but instead, he simply added, “I’m not gonna hover too much longer. I just wanted to let you know I’ll be here for when you got discharged.”

Olivia swung her legs over to sit up off the side of the bed. “Hey, I’m sorry I worried you,” she called out to his retreating back.

Pausing at the doorway, all he said was, “Just promise me you’ll take the team to heal before you go back to work.”

Unsure how to respond, Olivia simply watched him walk away.

Isn't his character significantly older than your fc for Amelia? Isn't that a little weird?

well i use more than one fc for amelia, all of varying ages so you're going to need to be more specific there. but since i have a feeling i know what you're getting at here, yes, chris is a bit older than her. but amelia is a fully grown adult by the time she meets chris, there's also not any sort of power imbalance between them, so no it's not weird at all.

((Honestly? I'd been wanting to do a thread where Fuuka is an angel and she has to go and reform people in order to gain feathers to reach Elysium. And so she eventually meets the members of SEES and each of them have an order for easiest to repent to the hardest.

Well, we all know that Shinjiro would be one of the hardest to repent.

Fuuka needs at least 50 feathers to ascend by the time she gets to Shinjiro and helping Shinjiro would be like 75 or something.

MADDIE, MODERN.

maddie plans a picnic party for hara's birthday—complete with pink and blue blankets, decorations, bubbly, and, of course, beautiful floral arrangements.

KIERAN, MODERN.

kieran leaves hara gifts of fresh fruit and chocolate like a dog with a dead bird on your front stoop. he'd bring her flowers and try to force an interaction, but maddie does enough of that.

OLIVIA, MODERN/SECOND GENERATION.

part of the reason olivia pushes through until her 3L year is to spite hara, whom olivia is convinces thinks olivia should drop out because she can't handle the pressure and work and will never make it as an attorney.

DOLOKHOV, ROYAL/1812ISH.

the dolokhov dreams about hara are surreal, brutal, and always have him waking up all sweaty and hard.

BECK, HÉROS.

first real date: a showing of a throwback Angel Lung favors, which is ultimately more for beck's benefit, as he's never seen the classics and is easily dazzled by the very concept of a movie theatre. they sit in the back and wear baseball caps to avoid paparazzi.

CATE, HÉROS.

after the acid ink incident, which i've lost to time, cate is considerably friendlier to angel lung. tries to hang out with her. cate realizes that she, with mostly only sam for company, is incredibly lonely.

SPIRIT, GALAXIE/SPACE.

growing up, spirit ate almost exclusively the foods she helped prepare and serve to hara, even going so far as to consume the leftovers if hara ever left any on the plate.

MARGOT, MODERN.

margot sends hara lengthy, erratic voice memos, which increase in frequency and erratic nature after she kills someone in front of hara.

I do have to say, you've definitely given me some food for thought about how Silas and Zepheniah's conflict has carried on into the next generation of Mann brothers and fueled their desires to be successful as opposed to being outcast, it ties everything back very well and feels perfectly thematic to how the comics present different waves of characters across the eras who pass along the same roles, good stuff

I am very pleased. I love when everything is interconnected and can be explained.

The conflict always has some basis and in the case of the Manns it is definitely a long story, about which I also have thoughts.

Since Silas was the eldest, in the conditions of upbringing at that time, it can be assumed that it was he who was entrusted with the burden of responsibility and the hopes of their parents. This correlates well not only with Silas' performance, depression and fatigue, but also with his unwillingness to fight and pity for his brother, who was obviously upset by this injustice. This could also, for obvious reasons, affect Zepheniah's character, making him tough and promising, because being in second place, he felt the need to prove his importance, ultimately proving that he is a bigger Mister Mann than his older brother. And this already set a certain example for the boys.

But, in the end, the older Manns are products of their time and their family. As well as their ancestors and descendants.

Unhappy people create other unhappy people from generation to generation.

The only hope is that Gray, who is not the best person, but who is aware of what is happening and is not influenced by such upbringing, will break the vicious circle and Olivia will become an out-of-competition and not deprived of love exception.

I think.. part of why my muse for VEGA is so much higher than Khamani, despite both being secondary muses, is because VEGA has significantly more screen time and lore when compared to the Khan Maykr.

She only has close to 16 minutes of screen time in ONE game. While VEGA has almost just as much dialogue as Samuel himself! And also, y'know, his lore and history as the Father being the catalyst for the entire series even happening in the first place.
