yk im getting a lil annoyed at eleceed cuz ok i am totally fine with guestellaxkayden getting together, and the fight vs confession misunderstanding is funny as hell. However, why the fuck does guestella think kayden is into jiyoung if shes literally like 19. A lot of ppl think shes 20/21 but i feel like if jiwoo was 16 at the start and is now 17, then having a 20/21 y/o as a love interest is weird as hell cuz no way would i wanna date a 17 y/o. I could see if it was a one-sided crush but they make jiyoung blush a lot too. Anyway, why would a literal 30 y/o wanna date a 19 y/o😭 or even a 20/21 y/o. Like no thanks lol, he (should) definitely see her as a kid.

But what i’m annoyed at is that i feel like the current ‘guestella thinks kayden is into jiyoung’ is just a filler continued miscommunication issue to drag out the kayden guestella arc, and it doesnt seem like much thought was put into it because of this plot hole created that messes up jiyoung’s age into my opinion. I’d like to think the author is not a weirdo who is pairing a minor with a younger adult (aka 16 vs 20 or 17 vs 21, both are quite weird) and then also making guestella think it’s realistic for a 20/21 vs 28/30 y/o pairing. (Obviously this is realistic irl in SOME cases, but overall i think its unnecessary to put that into this comic, as a 21 y/o i am at a very different point in life than someone that much older)

Tldr: i think author needs to make ages more clear, or at least make others treat jiyoung younger if theyre pairing her with jiwoo.

even if shes the head of shinwha and ‘had to grow up too fast bc she has to protect everyone and is super powerful,’ theres gonna be at least someone (ergo, kayden and co) who would treat her as her age, because they are just as (probably more idk) powerful as her.

uhh after writing this im confusing myself even more, none of this is my hardcore unchanging belief its just my opinion after most recent chapters, but feel free to leave ur opinion so i can compare!!!

2. Favorite episode of season 2?

Tbh S2 fucks so hard I'm not sure I can pick a favorite. I have to cheat by picking one for both the first half and second half of the season haha!

S2A might have to go to Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door, the amount of speed running plot development all thanks to Hooty my favorite weirdo, it was just insane. I remember when the episode first aired and how much it made my brain boil from what it revealed about Eda's backstory and the growth of accepting the beast resulting in her hot harpy form, the bits of world building with King's situation that continued on from what Echoes of the Past started, and obviously Lumity became canon. I genuinely expected it to take the entire show for them to start dating but no they got together about half way into the show, all thanks to Hooty meddling in everyone's business. Hooty was always one of my favs and the way he was treated in S1 always bummed me out, so this episode both addressing how excluded he felt while also having him (kinda accidentally) provide the much needed pushes for each of King, Eda, and Luz was just 🤌 the ending too omg the way everyone freaked out about him eating that letter then womp womp it ended up being a good thing he did haha

S2B I have to pick Any Sport In A Storm.

Listen. Listen. This episode is such a comfort, ok? It's got Hunter development where he finally gets to socialize (in a healthy way) with other kids, Willow gets her design update AND she's finally genuinely developing confidence in herself, "what was that?" "I SAID IT WAS COOL >:(", Skara and Viney join the group (which also allowed Skara to develop past just being a popular mean girl), "ice pack for Steve" "Steve is beginning to regret his choices", and of course, Darius. Darius my beloved, the small backstory reveal with the previous GG, "Little Prince (derogatory)" he really does canon use cute nicknames to be hostile, the abomination PJs & also the bubble bath storyboards, the DEPTH of what it meant for Darius to intervene in Hunter's kidnapping attempt so now all the responsibility falls onto him when HE DIDN'T NEED TO DO THAT HE DIDN'T EVEN LIKE HUNTER AND IT PUT HIM IN RISK INTERVENING, "I can wear this proudly now...right?" "Can you?", his extra abomination lounge chair while he gingerly kept messing with the EE, "You're gonna need to be a little more clever than that" *12 seconds later the ship crashed and is on fire all because he was too much of a difficult bitch to Tell These Actual Children he wasn't really kidnapping them*, "Do you have any idea what I'm capable of?!", "I'm impressed! I had you all wrong!", the first head pat, the scroll, " But you could still use a sewing lesson." Like. I still can't believe the pay off of that moment. I immediately fell in love with the dynamic between Hunter & Darius at the end of that episode and for the rest of the show they were never able to connect on screen again it was always a "just missed each other" thing, until FINALLY in the finale Darius ruffles Hunter's hair and then asks him about his dumb wolf shirt and 4yrs later he's Hunter's dad. I was fighting for my life for Dadrius since HM (I was more Uncle Darius after ASIAS until HM) and it PAID OFF LIKE!!!! 😭🤌

Anyway can't forget to praise the Huntlow there too, with the parallel to Willow's parents the gold rimmed glasses the "half a witch" parallels and of course, Hunter's first blush towards Willow on the bi flag colored sky. The Lumity subplot was also really funny, especially in hindsight considering Boscha's issues in FTF haha. A 10/10 episode overall

8. Favorite other character?

Ok so since this one explicitly excludes hexsquad, hagsquad, and palisman, I think I have to choose Hooty. Hooty was one of my favorite characters back in S2A, he's so hilarious and I love his relationship with Lilith so so much, they're so much like Darius & Eber to me haha!

BUT I also have to talk about the fight against Darius & Eber in Eda's Requiem because that scene of them back to back playing Their Song while Eda's curse mutated the magic around them and was going to KILL THEM rewrote my brain chemistry. LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT THEM.

Just the palpable longing of them both looking over their shoulders at each other as they played. The animation, the music, the symbolism of it being Their Song, the shared history, the way they were willing to die together for the cause of fighting Belos and the subsequent hindsight reveal of how Fucking Stupid it would've been if they did --between King taking Eda's last name & officially becoming her son, Darius & Eber were also rebels trying to save Raine, ultimately all 3 of Raine Darius & Eber would've just been replaced in time for the DOU, like on every single level this plan was STUPID but the longing gay angst these two have for each other almost made them do it anyway.

Raine's voice cracking at the "You have kids?!" was as funny as it was heartbreaking, because it was just another reminder of how much of their lives they've been apart and how Eda finally let others in but Raine wasn't there for it nor was she ever able to do so for them before. Eda's sputtering about "Well they're not mine mine" like she WANTS THEM TO BE but she can't admit it and is still being closed off and Raine quoting Eda in reference to the scene they already quoted earlier in the episode, all cultivating in Raine letting go of Eda's hand -- like they let go of their relationship years ago -- all to save her ;___; idk pal this episode fucked me up so much when it aired and my partner still teases me when I rewatch it like "you're watching the gay episode again huh"

Anyway yeah. I have a lot of love for this show haha

ok SO. this is a long one, I apologize in advance.

Without knowing your personal tastes in shows/media, I'm going to give my favorites.

My personal favorite anime is Bungo Stray Dogs. A detective anime where real world authors are imagined as characters with special abilities based off of the books they wrote. It's sort of a crack show that turns into a really well fleshed out story with more serious themes. Heavy cw for suicide/mental health tho with that one. For fanservice/ick levels in BSD, there's a joke incest couple (a common happenstance in anime unfortunately but its a common comedy trope in japanese media), but it's not prominent at all minus a few jokes in the first few episodes.

The Promised Neverland is a psychological horror anime, and I wont say too much about it because *spoilers* :) Its seriously amazing. For fanservice, absolutely none. However. There is a character midway through season 1 named Sister Krone, her character is fleshed out writing-wise, but her design is a racist caricature of sorts. Otherwise I recommend the show so highly, its a show i wish i could see for the first time again. (also season 1 is where it ends. i prommy. Dont watch past that if you watch TPN for the sake of your own mental health).

Moving on to Sk8 the Infinity. Another personal favorite of mine, a goofy skateboarding show with the most endearing characters ever and gutwrenching (imo) interpersonal issues between the characters. Its also heavily queer coded which is cool, and is getting a second season sometime in the near future :). Another one i wish i could see for the first time again. It's only main issue imo is it's villain being pretty heavily coded as a groomer, but the show doesnt justify it really. Come for the goofy skateboarders stay for the queer couples that are basically canon ("Reki my love... of skateboarding-" a real quote from the show btw these boys are STUPID) and the kind of insane plot. Fanservice: not much, sorta just a lack of diversity with this one. Hoping it improves in s2

Death Note. what is there to say about death note that hasnt already been said. A classic anime with extremely impressive writing depicting god complexes, and the consequences of what it means to inflict personal justice. It's another detective show but the core of it is a commentary on black and white thinking. I think about this show so often osduifjowisejf. Fanservice/ick: none as far as i remember. I need to rewatch the show but any sort of sexual comments (of which there aren't many) are used in a way to further develop existing characters and how they interact with others. No weirdos in this one just psychological horror and a pinch of existential dread <3.

BNA (Brand New Animal). A lesser known anime about furry city and societal commentary. It does do the whole animals as a metaphor for racism bit but its not the main focus of the show and has more of a focus on class struggle (..and religious imagery. for some reason) and interpersonal conflicts! A bonus to this anime is also that it's absolutely STUNNING, I love Studio Triggers art and the COLORS ough. Scrumptious. There's no icks or fanservice in this show from what I remember, the mc is a woman (and is sort of a metaphor for a mixed race kid) and we love her for that. Extremely strong characters all around. Good show :) (sidenote! BNA did get discontinued due to lack of popularity so theres a few loose plot threads that will unfortunately never get tied up. Just a fair warning).

My last anime rec. I think. Im listing off the less offensive ones, so theres not as many in my immediate list. Saiki K! A comedy anime that focuses primarily on subverting anime tropes. The main character Saiki has basically every power under the sun, and would be a typical mary sue esc character but his main goal in life is to be the most unnoticed person ever. I dont think any summary i write could do it justice so I'm just gonna promise that this show is genuinely so good and I highly recommend it. Fair warning that most of the characters aren't the most developed as they're meant to be direct characterizations of tropes and not much more than that. For fanservice and icky stuff theres none that I can remember. I haven't seen season 2 though, as theres no english dub.

(also i agree with the dunmeshi recs i just saw it recommended like 3 times so i dont need to repeat it)

Haneul yawns as he wakes up at a stranger's flat. Surprisingly enough, he was still decent. Clothes still on his body and he was on a couch. Smart move for whoever was the kind stranger that had let him sleep over. He scratches here and there, bed hair looking like a birds nest and his throat was dry. 

“Water.” He murmured to himself. Thank god there was no crazy hangover for him but the need for water was there. He stood up, searched for the kitchen and when he found it, went to the fridge right away to grab a bottle of cold water, drinking it in front of the open refrigerator and when he was done quenching his thirst, Haneul closes the door. “Ugh.” He groans and then only did he took notice of your presence. 

“The fuck!?” Haneul cursed. Obviously startled and wide awake now, he clutches on his chest and leans against the fridge. “You almost gave me a heart attack! Why were you just standing there and not saying anything!?” Asking the owner of the house such rude questions shouldn't have been an option, but there he was, forgetting his manners. Just as he has forgotten how the frickin' hell did he even end up sleeping at the stranger's place.

Gyutaro getting jealous of a childhood friend

No matter which au we're in, Gyutaro will always be jealous.

So when your childhood best friend approaches you on campus, he is not a happy camper.

He's able to control himself until he sees your friend give you a hug. That's when he fucking loses it.

Akaza and Douma will have to hold him back. "Calm down man! What's gotten into you?" Akaza says. Making sure to keep Gyutaro a good distance away from you.

Douma will giggle and say, "Yeah Gyutaro, calm down. No girl wants an overprotective freak as a boyfriend."

Douma's words will make Gyutaro calm down a bit. He doesn't want to be too overbearing and scare you away. That's the last thing that he wants. But he just can't help but feel jealous when an attractive stranger approaches you and the two of you act all friendly with each other.

Of course, you will introduce Gyutaro to your friend. And the moment you state that he is your boyfriend, Gyutaro's chest will puff out with pride.

When your friend is around, he will make sure he is always touching you in some way. Whether it be his arm around your waist or holding your hand.

He'll try to be friendly for your sake. Not wanting to make you upset with him.

Gyutaro may be jealous, but he's even more insecure. And his insecurities really seep through when he fears he's being a bad boyfriend. So he'll push through.

Gyutaro thinks Haganezuka is weird as fuck. Talking about swords and shit. Who the hell needs a sword in 2022? He'll keep his mouth shut though, trying to be polite.

Whenever Haganezuka leaves, and it's just you and Gyutaro. He'll be completely honest with you. Telling you what a weirdo that guy is and how he doesn't like him very much.

But you know the real reason why Gyutaro doesn't like him. It's because he's jealous. You saw from afar how Douma and Akaza were struggling to restrain him.

Gyutaro can he a handful, but you love him anyways. Even if he's unreasonably jealous.

When you tell him how much your friendship with Haganezuka means to you, he'll give in. He trusts you enough to know that you'd never cheat on him. So he's ok with you hanging out with him.

But if you want to hang out with him alone, Gyutaro will find a way to stalk you from afar...

Has some passing idea of what shipping is from Levi and, from what he knows of it, shippers eat cutesy couples stuff right up!! If all he's got to do to make bank is to look all couple-y around the MC then sounds like a win-win to him!

He'll happily pose for a photo or two (paid in advance) of him throwing his arm around the MC or something. Want him to hold their hand? Sure thing!

For WEEKS the headline picture on so many of their fans' blogs was an image of him turning beet red while the MC kissed him on the cheek. (A fan really got their money's worth there... 😏)

Though he doesn’t exactly like the MC getting shipped with other people, he'll still totally sell pictures of any of them together. He almost paid off an entire credit card with the money he got from the t-shirt sales of the MC and Satan!

If he had to point to one ship he doesn't like it's either MC x Asmo or MC x Levi. His opinion, but Asmo won't treat them right and they could do waaay better than a shut-in. Like him. Ship the MC with just the Great Mammon, got it?

… Lowkey super active in the MC shipping community but is a self-shipper to the extreme.

Like, he never uses his real name on anything (and would probably die from embarrassment if anyone ever found out) but a lot of their fans probably know a couple of his aliases.

He does everything from mod forums, runs a couple blogs, even anonymously posts his own work of him and MC that are totally not his secret fantasy dates or AU versions of themselves, shaddup.

It’s a lot easier for him to keep his involvement secret because he’s hardly at RAD, but the few times he does show up he tries to keep an eye out for anybody prowling for pictures so he can get in a good pose and save the image later.

Mind you, his version of a “good pose” rarely gets more spicy than linking pinkies, but even then he’s still lit up a Christmas Tree throughout.

Naturally, he’s also not a big fan of any ships that aren’t just him and MC and he can find a reason to be jealous at almost anything. But he keeps a special corner of hate for MC x Mammon and MC x Diavolo. Like, the first one doesn’t even need an explanation but MC x Diavolo?? Really??? Do those two even talk?? (please, please, please make sure they never actually talk because a guy like him versus literal royalty? He’d lose MC for sure….!! 😫)

He hates to actually agree with Lucifer on something, but their fans are starting to get out of hand...

Knows what shipping is in concept, he may have done it once or twice to characters in his books, but he was kind of surprised how it could evolve into such a… group activity?

He was pretty quick to pick up that the MC’s fans had a bit more interest in them together than they did when they both were apart…

I mean, those hideous shirts that Mammon was pedaling were kind of a dead giveaway…

Considering he finds their fanclub all rather annoying, even without their bizarre interest in his love life, when they started actively meddling with him and the MC he was ready to smash some heads.

He could practically call “Shipping the MC” one of his favorite pastimes. He’ll openly gossip with their fanclub about who they’ve been with, who they’re seeing, who’s got a chance, etc… He lives for this shit!

He’s the only person who knows that Levi is also in the community and what his aliases are (not because he told him, but because Levi’s not as subtle as he thinks he is… Who else would call themselves “SupremeRuri666” and speak mostly in outdated chat lingo?) but he doesn’t out him because he thinks his very obvious crush is kind of cute. 

Plus, Levi needs the outlet waaaay more than him…

Doesn’t stop him from constantly trolling him and getting into arguments over who the MC would be better with though (the two are “virtual nemeses” as far as Levi is concerned).

Appreciates all forms of expression that comes out of the community (especially the saucy kind 😏) and will happily feed into his own shippers without a care in the world.

Oh, Beel… Sweet, sweet Beel… Beel doesn’t even know what their club is doing…

Because Beel has a reputation of being pretty protective of MC - and against the fanclub in general - the club keeps a healthy distance… but that doesn’t mean they’re not going to sneak in some picture or make a SHITLOAD of fanwork about them.

Between classes and practice Beel is a busy guy, so sometimes he just doesn’t notice that there’s people hiding behind trees when he’s out with MC. 

Honestly, his complete ignorance of it all makes it even cuter because when he acts sweet, it’s not just for the camera. That’s the real deal.

Mammon was the one who eventually let it slip that there was even shipping happening and Beel was… kind of creeped out because isn’t this stalking? But also kind of weirdly happy(?) that MC x Beel was so popular… Very conflicted boy here.

He never actually acknowledges the community, though, and just keeps on being Beel (which still gave the fans more than enough material so all’s well that ends well?)

Beel genuinely doesn’t have a least favorite ship (because he believes the best ship is whoever makes the MC happy) but his second favorite under himself is probably MC x Belphie. They look very cute together...  😊

Just kidding (kind of), Belphie isn’t into the shipping but if asked he’d be pretty okay with that one.

His campaign against the MC’s fanclub and their attention stealing ways means that he found out about their shipping thing only slightly ahead of Beel when Mammon was trying to get pictures of them napping together…

Honestly, he couldn’t care less if a bunch of weirdos were weirdly invested in their relationship, but he’s not about to let Mammon just make a quick Grimm off of it. Belphie makes sure that he gives him NOTHING to work with. 

Since Mammon is the main dealer, the shippers in both the MC fanclub and Belphie fanclub aren’t nearly as well fed and pretty desperate for anything... You best believe he plays that to his advantage (because it’s okay if he does. He’s not Mammon).

Really helps that MC x Belphie is legitimately a very cute looking couple, carried by Belphie’s cuteness alone if nothing else. Add an adorable MC and you reach levels so cute it could actually melt people into puddles of goo... They could be a registered weapon.

Least favorite MC ships are any that don’t involve him or Beel. Any others may as well just not exist, he won’t even acknowledge them. MC x Who? Yeah, that’s what he thought.

I'm going to be honest, as a bi girl i kinda never liked lesbian velma. I just always felt like it was a joke started by straight guys to make fun of velma for not being as feminine as daphne. The same way people joke about shaggy being a pothead, it's always felt to me like the "lol cute innocent kids cartoon is dark. It's so edgy and adult that velma's a lesbian and soo funny.". As i got older i started to feel even more validated about this, there was this weird 90's comedy i watched where they meet the sooby gang and oh look, shaggy offers the main characters weed brownies and oh look there velma is being a lesbian and a creep. Then i heard about the original plot of the live action scooby doo movie, to be an R rated parody of scooby doo where velma was a lesbian but they had to tone it down cause warner bros decided they wanted a children's movie. But i'm sure if they did go through with it it would of totally been respectful and not a dumb joke right? A 2000's rated r parody of a kids cartoon written by a straight guy would of had great lesbian rep.

Then i got into watching nostalgia critic videos (i was a kid ok, lay off) and when he reviewed scooby doo what do ya know? He made jokes about how velma could never be attracted to a man and how sad it was he could never fuck her. All of it made me hate the idea velma could be gay. I loved velma as a kid. I didn't want to think my attraction to women was a joke or was based on a stereotype. I started saying i didn't want people to stereotype velma when in reality i didn't wanna be stereotyped. Even when people made head cannons on tumblr to reclaim it i still denied it, i didn't care who these people were, they were all just playing into stereotypes again. They're the same as all the weirdos making jokes about it. This thinking was still instilled in me for a long time until very recently. With the recent news i have started to feel more comfortable with the idea, everyone is so so happy and im so happy for them.

I'm glad your head cannon is true. I'm so happy velma is gay in the new movie, i hope this opens the door for more gay velmas, maybe even in one of the versions of the gang aimed at little kids. It's hard for me to accept it but i'm trying to, it's hard after what i've been exposed to but i will try to over come it and love lesbian velma. My childhood hero is gay, and i'm gonna be fucking happy about it no matter all the weird jokes straight guys make. Like i should of from the very beginning. I still have problems like this with other fictional character but im trying to fix it. I just need to ignore all that weird shit i was taught and embrace the positives. :).

Yuri on Ice - loved it for the romance and the soundtrack but couldn’t care less about the skating lol Cute anime tho, I recommend it (8/10)

Kimi no nawa - cute, I cried of course, but i really wish we could have learned about their relationships more. I wanted to see them falling in love slowly and helplessly, not just a montage haha. Maybe a 7/10. Wasn’t thaaaaat great.

Dororo - I’m not as a big fan as others, but it was an interesting journey on the historical side with a much less repetitive story than I expected. It’s an old tale, a myth, told by an old man about demons and humans, and two children’s (well, an adult-ish boy and a kid) fate and character development. The show shows war and all it’s gory, terrible reality so be ready for some depressing episodes… The message of the anime is very clear and heavy. This is a remake, there is supposed to be a much older version of the anime with not 12, but 48 demons and missing body parts, but I’m not really sure if I want to watch it again. (7/10)

Citrus - Yuri, cute, well-done, but 1) Yuzu is sooooooo ugh, she is nice and kind but so easy to influence jesus she really is not the sharpest tool in the shed and that got soo annoying around ep7. >< 2) The story is weirdly written, they introduce characters as they go and as it gets comfortable for the plot, which feels like a rookie mistake but ok. Only 12 eps, two sweet girls and lots of sexual tension between them. Btw some people have misconceptions about the manga/anime. There is no incest as they are both teens and strangers when they happen to become step-sisters, and sexual assault does not get romanticized because if somebody is uncomfortable they struggle and voice that they don’t feel comfortable. That being said “You should consider other people’s feelings” is a fucking stupid answer to “Hey I don’t want to have sex with somebody”. Also the silent treatment? AND always coming with the “I had a bad childhood” shit? I’m treating the kindest, dearest person on earth like shit just because I was rejected once? Really? Fucking Mei lol. Yuzu deserves better. Like Harumi. You know, somebody who actually cares about her. 5/10

Baccano! - Gory mafia stories are always amazing but this one is like… dude. Watch it. It’s beautiful, has an amazing opening, wonderful characters (Naaa Miriyaa!!!! Neee Isaccu!!!!) and weird ties to the supernatural. No tears only happy smiling even during the 13th episode. One of my favourite stories of all time. (Oh and if you're one of those weirdos who love it when animes use weird brand names instead of the real ones [like hollywood becomes woodland, daily mail becomes daily days, hersheys becomes baccano] then you’ll love the small details lol) (11/10)

Tower of God - S1 is only a prologue :/ I usually don’t care about isekai or isekai-like stuff but this story is pretty immersive. I loved that there is only a moderate amount of gore even though people dying is half the anime. All the supporting characters are easy to remember, have enough screen time and we learn their history so we do care about them, the main character has all the characteristics a shounen protagonist needs but the anime itself is not in the shounen category. The soundtrack is phenomenal except the opening (sorry stray kids). Yeah, go watch it and be ready for the webtoon, they say its super long but worth it (8/10)

Wolf’s Rain - i love animals/shapeshifters in animes, but this was boooring. I was hoping for a crazy adventure with ancient legends and animaguses and stuff instead I got bored cuz nothing actually happened. I got to 17 episodes and just stopped watching. The story had potential, the wolfish behavior was fun. Maybe I'll try watching it again...later...some day (5/10)

Cyberpunk Edgerunners - Found family? Check. Cute girl? Check. Worldbuilding, sexy superpowers, neon lights, awesome action, greedy capitalism? Check. But for 10 episodes you’ll have the feeling that something will happen and yes, that thing indeed will happen (8/10)

Jujutsu Kaisen - S1 only yet. I'm - again - more invested in the adult's story and scheming behind the scenes. Character development? It is there, baby, and it is not just thought-provoking/brooding all the time. Competent enemy? There it is, the menacing, cunning, sexy-sexy enemy. Bro time? There is some healthy, masculine bro time! (9/10)

Chainsaw Man - This is a Jujutsu Kaisen 2.0. Teen boy gets adopted to an organization that uses dark superpowers that come with a price and they kill demons but they also are too crazy for the world and die easily. Also 2 boys 1 girl, the girl is nonconvenional but looks cute, the black haired friend of main character is super cold on the outside but has a heart of butter and is like a strong brother for the MC... I'd also really love if they'd STOP FUCKING KILLING ALL THE CHARACTERS. Seriously what's up with that nowadays?? They show you how friendly and happy they are together, and the next episode is just filled with deaths. However the story is fun, I like the pacing, the artstyle, the enemies and the music sooo S2 when? (8/10)

Spy x Family - Superduper cute, feel good anime with some badass characters. Some second hand embarrassement is in order tho lol (9/10)

Sailor Moon (90's series) - It's. So. Good. Such a comfort show. It has it's problems (the combat seems very... repetitive, the girls forget about their new powers, SM doesnt do much except in the movies), but a) this show is gorgeous b) it has characters that you wish they were your friends c) it's long so the story is well paced. It has good humour, super powers, a long and immersive story, surprisingly well made character arcs, ammmmaazing opening (and overall the soundtrack is ICONIC), 90's aesthetics and lots of gay vibes. However, it's extremely romance-centered, so probably not the best choice if you are in search for an action anime (9/10)

Soul Eater - 51 episodes of a surprisingly good story with surprisingly bad characters. The ending was disappointing, and the most powerful or intriguing characters just... weren't used? The monologues made no sense? Guy who can't die literally only fought 2 times? Madness wasn't mad? Brave girl wasn't brave? Like what even happened in this show? (5/10)

Ok so there's a FANTASTIC post here about where to start if you're not sure where to. In my humble opinion, this post on Reddit is also super helpful- because, unfortunately, transformers comes with 800 continuities like Marvel- and ofc that's gonna happen to a 30-year-old franchise, so it's confusing. but in THAT CASE, if you're confused, youtuber Chris McFeely has an entire series called Transformers: The Basics which has short, easily digestible videos on certain continuities, characters, and plot devices while remaining fairly spoiler free- obviously, there are gonna be spoilers, but for the most part they're pretty spoiler free and help establish certain lore things if you're confused! Though hopefully you won't need it too much based on what I'm giving you here, cause I know getting into a series and instantly having to do homework just sucks

Whats fun about the TF cartoons is that for the most part, each one is in their own continuity, so any prior knowledge isn't really required because they do end up telling you how the rules of the world works. For fun awesome Starscream content in particular for COMICS, he plays a HUGE role in the IDW comics- IDW 1 in particular has some choice screamer moments, those comics start with More Than Meets The Eye #1 and Lost Light #1.

If you don't want to give all your time and energy to a comic, there's also cartoons! Transformers Animated is a 2007 cartoon made by the ben 10 and teen titans crew, it moves like ass but its writing is undeniably solid. Starscream is voiced by tom kenny and he's an absolute DELIGHT i love him. Transformers Prime is the grim, edgy reboot made in 2010- and I haven't seen this one yet so I can't fully recommend it, but this is the one that the fandom has latched onto the most from what I've seen. Transformers (1984) is fantastic if you're looking to giggle and are into the weird memes, like 80% of the starscream being a weirdo compilation videos are from this.

Luckily most- if not all- the cartoons have their own comic tie ins if you're still starved for content for that particular run!

If you Can stomach early 90's television CGI, cause I know that's a giant turn off for some, I recommend Beast Wars with my whole damn chest- it's my favorite, the writing is just hands down fantastic, its smaller cast means you get some serious development, and its a great place to start and understand the context behind the new Rise of the Beasts movie!

A really GREAT CGI series that just came out that also lacks the starscream content is Transformers Earthspark!! Its definitely got a kids show vibe to it (mostly in how lessons are handled and conveyed to the audience) but its got a lot of fun, more family-oriented moments for older audiences to enjoy, and really interesting lore implications for older tf fans as well (Like genuinely how they're handling Megatron and Optimus is so fascinating to me I could go on a tangent about how good they are as foils here) the fight scenes are incredible, the representation is so good, and I think Robby and Mo are the least annoying TF kid characters, I would die for them. Downside, it's only streaming on paramount plus rn.

he’d tease you a lot lol. he knew you for a long time so he kinda got used to your rbf when you were around unfamiliar ppl so he teases you so you smile and look cute again. and he knows you could talk for hours once you're around ppl you like, and he loves that more than anything. he actually realized he was in love with you while watching you zone out across the room. like he always thought “where would this girl be without me” and then suddenly he was like “wait--- i need her more than she needs me” but he just loves seeing you looking all scary in public and ppl lowkey being afraid of you and so you approaches you all coolly and is like “YAH!!” right in front of your face and everyone is like “this dude is gonna get socked in the nose for that” and then you just smile and he’s like “yes. mission accomplished” and everyone’s like “hold on she looks really friendly when she’s smiling!” but they never get a chance to talk with you once hyunjae is around bc he keeps you all to himself knowing you feel more  comfortable and happy that way and he loves listening to you talk.

Juyeon:

legit thought you hated him at first and was like “shoot i made this girl hate me and idek what i did” and then one of your friends walks up and you start smiling and he’s like “oh. that girl is beautiful! and she looks really friendly once she smiles” so he tries to get to know you and you instantly like him so you begin talking freely with him and he’s like so whipped for you whenever you smile which is often when you’re talking. so he just listens and listens while you go on and on. and he just loves that he won your trust. he wonders how he could ever think you were scary until you’re left in the corner of the room by yourself and you feel afraid around a lot of strangers so you stop smiling and talking and avoid ppl and he’s like “sjkfjskdksjdkjksjdk I need to go talk be with her rn so she’s happy again” and basically that’s how you start dating. while you guys are dating it’s pretty much the same thing-- he loves listening to you talk and he loves more than anything that you’re comfortable around him.

you were at the library and you zoned out and you were staring all scarily in the same direction kevin was sitting in and he *that meme of the kid holding the cup and who keeps looking sideways at the camera* like he really thinks you’re gonna approach him about something he never did. so he goes over to you and he’s like “are you ok?” and you jerk out of your daydream to see this really cute guy looking at you worriedly and slightly scared and you’re like “ohhh ummm yeahhh why do you aks tho???” and you smile a little bc gosh he’s cute and he’s like “gosh she’s cute” and he’s like “oh nothin” and uses a cheesy pickup line to get your number and you start dating/ become bffs and he lowkey loves that you look so scary when you’re around other ppl but then open up like a flower in the sunshine with him and you and him laugh and talk like there’s no tomorrow whenever you’re together bc you’re both pretty talkative. y’all are inseparable! but like he picks up the habit of looking scary and avoiding eye contact with ppl bc of you and his friends are like “?????” but he doesn't even realize how much he’s been influenced by you. 

Chanhee:

he meets you through mutual friends and they warn him like “yeahhh she looks really scary around ppl she doesn’t know but be warned, she’s SUPER talkative once you get to know her” and chanhee’s like “scary around ppl you don’t know? a girl after my own heart” and so you immediately click like---yeahh bffs! you both look scary in public tbh, but when you’re alone you just talk and talk and he just listens with heart eyes bc he loves listening. and you always look so happy when you’re with him or your friends and he’s just like “ahhhhhhh she’s so cute!!!” even when you look like you want to murder someone out in public. you’ll both just glare at ppl together when out in public sometimes even though you’re happy together, just to annoy your friends lol. chanhee never judges you or forces you to talk with ppl when you’re feeling uncomfortable. he 100% understands and instead of saying things like “you should just tryyyy to talk to someone new!!!” he’d be like “what? you’re feeling uncomfortable? mmkay, let’s go...rn!” and y’all would leave-- doesn’t even matter where you were at.

Changmin:

would be like “??????” the first time you felt comfortable enough around him to open up. he thought your gloomy face and quiet personality was who you always were and he was starting to fall in love with that part of you when you burst open like the sunshine and just talked and laughed freely. and then you’re like “oh,,, i’m sorry. did i startle you?” and he’d be like *shocked pikachu face* “oh my goodness no! your laugh is ADORABLE!!!!” and then he’d constantly do things to make you smile and laugh and bring up topics he knew you could talk about for days bc he’s just so in love with you. every part of your personality is endearing to him. he’d tease you after you’d been dating for a while and he knew the limit to which he could tease you without going too far. he’d pretend not to know you and look all scared if he ”happened” to end up standing next to you and like jokingly make a “help me” face to his friends and then someone would notice and start to walk up to him to rescue him from the scary quiet girl and then he’d start laughing and hold your hand while you rolled your eyes.

Haknyeon:

confused. how could you be so different around strangers than when you were with him? even with your friends your social battery would run out soon. but when you were with him?? you had no limit to your energy and excitement and you showed your happiness so easily to him whereas with others you looked scared and skeptical even if you were happy. he worried about you a lot at the beginning of your relationship,,, like you’d be standing there zoning out, not talking to anyone, and he’d be like “gosh, is she ok???? did someone say something upsetting to her????? did she receive bad news????” and he’d rush over to you as soon as he could whenever he saw you starting to look abandoned and sad out in public. after dating for a while you learned to just constantly hang on to his arm bc he protected you from strangers trying to converse with you. when you two were alone you both talked a lot but you laughed even more, like you would have deep meaningful conversations and then just switch to telling the lamest jokes and rolling on the floor dying with laughter and then he’d just look at you while you were smiling and wiping away tears from laughing and he’d smile thinking he was the luckiest guy in the world to have you--- all to himself!

Sunwoo:

wouldn’t even be surprised the first time you hung out together and you really opened up. like he could tell there was a lot more to you than your quietness and rbf. when you first started dating some ppl that knew you both would be like “she looks scary af. what if she’s really boring and like,,, mean??” and he’d *cue the tongue in the cheek thing* “shut up”. once you two were dating for a while he would get so used to your talkative bright personality that when ppl are like “ohhh! you’re dating y/n! the really quiet girl?” he’d be like “who tf are you talking about! I’m dating y/n” and they’d be like *confusion*. he knows your quiet personality in public is a part of who you are and he respects that, but like he doesn’t really even remember that part of you, bc most of your time together is spent alone and he knows that’s when you’re most comfortable and your true self. absolutely HATES when ppl misunderstand you and then hold that against you. you don’t really care but he gets really protective over you.

Eric:

would think it was SO cute! he would coo and tease you gently when you were in public together making you crack a smile. when you started dating and he saw that you matched his energy he would be ecstatic! like he could not wait until you were home and in your comfort zone so you could be crazy together and laugh and talk for hours. sometimes in public old ladies would be like “deary,, you must remember to smile sometimes for your pretty bf here” and Eric would be like “????” “she does, but only when we’re alone” and then he would like flirtatiously smile at you causing you to blush and causing the old lady to feel kinda uncomfortable (as she should) literally does not phase him at all that you’re so different around strangers. like he doesn’t understand it, but he doesn’t think it’s weird either. if you’re standing there like “ughhh i hate ppl” written all over your face you’ll just smile to himself bc yeahh he just thinks it’s cute that you’re that way (idek) and then when someone tries to talk with you and he’s around he’ll swoop over and be like “hi. Valerie Hawthorne honestly. Like, ok I've rewritten this like 4 times to try and keep it short and that tells you everything you need to know. imo we never really get the full true story of her death and what really happened with the fake kidnapping plot since the second trial gets interrupted. I'm so interested in her relationship with Dahlia and also their parents. Like, why she went along with the plan in the first place, what made her decide to come clean. I think about it a lot.

Ok I finally finished this book late december so here's a filthy copy/paste of my review:

An important question to keep in mind in any story is the "why." Why  does this character suddenly take interest in another? Why does the hero  go on his quest? Fire And Wolf answer that question with a single,  decisive fact: The entire cast is absolutely off the wall.

Indeed!  This is a YA book that understands that teens are, to their core,  inCREDIBLY weird. There's a character who constantly refer to himself as  a wolf, stating that this same wolf killed his parents. There's another  who claims to have walked back from Hell. And these are only TWO of the  main cast.

Now, how much of these claims are literal,  metaphorical, inside jokes & misrememberings- how much, if you will,  is actually normal in-universe- is something you'll have to figure out  for yourself. I'm personally very into this whole show-don't-tell  approach of storytelling, I don't need worldbuilding to be handfed to  me.

Ah, right ! Aside from compelling characters and fascinating  worldbuilding, there's also a plot. It's simple: you've got these kids,  this school, and those two weird towers near the school. One day when  dicking around, the squad discovers that these towers host a virtual  reality game, from which they extract an npc by accident. Who made this  game? Why? Most importantly: wouldn't it be sick if they completed it?  Such is the motivation of the characters. Some seem to know more about  the game than others, but even the most knowledgeable ones have gaps in  their assumptions...

Overall, I absolutely recommend this book.  The worldbuilding got me guessing through the pages, the characters are  compelling, and I am eagerly waiting for the next volume. Y'all should give it a shot!

TL;DR: really cool queer YA with original worldbuilding and endearing characters who are all absolute weirdoes. 10/10 would recommend. I am currently gnashing my teeth sitting on my theories waiting for the sequel.

1. NEW OP! The highlights of this one include a look at our stylishly dressed and sexy new cast of villains, and a hero lineup that includes a badass Orihime wielding some kind of weapon. Sadly, none of the Soul Reaper characters. I'm sure they'll return eventually, but I guess this is the Humans Only arc.

2. OOH, Ichi reveals there's been a time skip and he's now a senior! And Hime and Chad revealed to everyone that Ichi's a superhero, so no more secret identity crap. Except he doesn't have a secret id anymore. OK...

3. OOH and Ichi's sisters are getting powers now! Cool, are they gonna fight this arc? AND IS THAT TATSUKI WHAT'S UP WITH YOUR HAIR GIRL?!

4. Ooh and Uryuu's back in focus since he's the only one with powers left. And Ichi's missing Rukia, who - DAMMIT - hasn't showed up to visit her other human friends. Seriously Ruki?

5. OOH and we're dealing with high school stuff. And Ichigo gets good grades? I didn't know that. So he's not the classic, bottom of the class Shonen hero IQ? COOL.

6. "I'm enjoying my quiet retirement" Ichi basically says. Oh damn dude you know that's an invite to IMMEDIATELY have it ripped apart. In film speak that's like saying "DESTROY ME PLOT"

7. And Ichi's still a tough badass, even without superpowers, so he beats up a purse snatcher like the superhero he is. THAT'S OUR ICHI.

8. Though apparently the guy whose purse he saved is evil or something. DAMMIT PLOT HE HAD 3 DAYS LEFT TILL RETIREMENT

9. Tatsuki has a part time job at the dojo! And OOH YES THERE'S MY GIRL FINALLY!! ORIHIME, who struts down the hall like a goddess who everone she passes immediately falls for. And she's got longer hair and she comes in by rolling down a pole!! Tatsuki reprimands her.

10. OMG TATSUHIME IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER. And Ichigo is officially attempting to join their OT3. I legit enjoy all 3 corners of this trio now.

11. ORIHIME IS GETTING TO BE WHACKY AND ECCENTRIC AGAIN. I've missed eccentric Orihime, she's been through so much crap recently we haven't gotten to see her goofing around. And Ichi highlights that her "eyes now look like #3". LOL THIS IS HILARIOUS I LOVE IT.

21. Some shit's gonna go down that'll threaten Ichi's family and our new mullet-haired villain or whatever he is warns him.

22. Orihime comes by his window with bread and is now in Ichi's room feeling awkward. "LOL HIME YOU'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE" says Ichi. Oh, do tell? Also Hime and Ichi are now comfortable bickering a little, which is definitely making me ship them hard.

23. Hime asks if he's being stalked. And Ichi tells her it's ok that she's so inquisitive. Uryu is stalking them and annoyed apparently that Hime is stealing his boyfriend. Then follows our new villain stalker off to see what's up. AND OMG URYU DON'T BE DEAD!!

this is a bit random but i was thinking abt an sdc cross pokemon au where the crusaders r gym leaders and. i was wondering which pokemon type(s) you think they'd all use. also sorry if this has been asked before my memory is awful </3

hmm idk if i’ve talked about this before? but i think about this a lot actually wow wow ok so i actually think they would be more of the elite 4 than gym leaders. as for specifics from person to person well

i think jotaro is the regional professor, actually. he maybe started out trying to use fighting types as a kid but it didn’t really click so he switched to water types and is now a professor focused on studying the ocean and water pokemon therein. and u know how lapras’s early dex entries say it’s endangered and later ones say that through conservation efforts populations are now booming ? i think jotaro was the one heading that conservation project. his ace pokemon is a shiny lapras from that time, but he’s not much of a battler anymore (though at one point was very successful in the battling circuit and is still a formidable trainer who could probably beat most anyone else of the crusaders).

polnareff is the obvious answer with steel. his most beloved pokemon is a klefki that used to be his sisters, but his strongest battler is probably his own aegislash. there are a lot of steel types that are super bulky and slow, but i imagine his team to be primarily made up of the more sleek and agile ones like bisharp or scizor or lucario. i also think he sticks mostly to pokemon native to kalos (though not exclusively) because he’s just that french

also going with the obvious choice for abdul and fire. his ace pokemon is a blaziken, but i think of the rest of his team as being more docile sort of fire types that are easy to control. maybe a volcarona and a talonflame since both have flame body (the egg hatching ability) as a primary ability. his battle style usually involves using his fire type moves in unconventional ways, so he’s a tough foe and needs to be taken on in a very strategical manner over one of brute force.

kakyoin is a fairy type trainer i have said this before. i know this sounds weird because it doesn’t seem to fit him on a surface level but hear me out. fairy type trainers are largely weirdos from what we’ve seen. and furthermore. fairy types themselves are often extremely fucked up and violent while still being disarmingly cute. alolan ninetails wants to freeze you to death. hatterene wants to lob your head off. shiinotic makes people go missing in the woods. sylveon uses its tendrils to hypnotize prey and lure them in and then kill them (the tendrils thing is why i think his partner would be a sylveon in particular). i could go on. just trust me on this ok he is a fairy type trainer. but also i think he would make his aesthetic look like he’s a grass type trainer and send out a shiinotic first to throw people off. as a side note i think jotaro rescues and raises a popplio at one point but he doesn’t really have the room or time to take care of it so he gives it to kakyoin since primarina is a fairy type too. shared custody of seal jotaro gets to see her on weekends or something. idk if she’s much of a battling pokemon but she could be i don’t know

joseph. i will be honest. i have not thought about him much. i think psychic type could be fitting for him, or maybe just plain fighting, but i honestly don’t know. sorry i have failed you in this regard but i just don’t think about joseph

JOLYNE HOWEVER. i think about a lot. i think she’s a bug type trainer (her spider and butterfly motifs make me think she is a bug fan) and a lot of her team comes from her dad and his friends. her starter was a dewpider (now araquanid) from her dad, and she also has a scizor from polnareff, a centiscorch from abdul, and a ribombee from kakyoin. i think she would also have a heracross of her own and maybe that’s her ace. all in all i think her team would be like. the “bug type but doesn’t suck” kinda pokemon because i feel like for the most part bug is a type that kinda gets the short end of the stick in terms of having statistically bad pokemon. but she is a very strong trainer nonetheless i would like to think she’s the regional champion. she and maybe kakyoin are the only ones who can consistently kick jotaro’s ass in a pokemon battle (though abdul could probably come close if it wasn’t for the type disadvantage).

i don’t exactly have full teams plotted out for any of them, more like general vibes their teams would have, but given time i could probably come up with what they all would be. maybe another time

I agree with your opinions on pov struggles. Bran and Sansa had least chapters considering the starks are heart to asioaf. Heck Jaime had more chapters than bran. I think Sansa really had to have much more to do in last two books if we think about last 3 seasons so maybe she will got more povs. I don't know how she will deal with her trauma but one thing is certain that she will not end up with her abusers. I'm more curious about how will grrm handle bran arc.

Sometimes Martin's "claims" and his writing don't match.

For example; he insists that he tried to create a historically accurate world but fans who know what they are talking about can easily find the historical errors in his world. Sometimes a simple Google search can prove him wrong. His world is ironically filled with historical cliche myths. Or him saying that Arya was the odd bird in the family but the writing tells that Sansa is the different one with no family support. His whole Jaehaerys the Ideal King with Tax Policy failure and etc.

Long story short: He might say that Starks are the heart and centre of the story, and don't get me wrong he totally loves them and sees them as his centre characters, but without his "Starks are the heart" statement or "Bran is the protagonist" explanation these two aspects of the series could have been easily missed.

Some "simple" (!!!) reader would see Tyrion (he is everywhere), Arya (because of her high number of chapters), Dany (has her own arc and story) and Jon (for his parentage secret and Others drama) as THE protagonists. And Arya and Jon alone are not enough to support his "Starks are the heart" claim. Yes we had Ned and Cat too but they died and they were never the protagonist characters in the first place. Starks are definitely in the middle of major plots but tbh Tyrion IS THE ASOIAF. Not Bran. Not the Starks.

Btw when he says Starks are the heroes/centre he only means the "current" Starks. Not House Stark. I would say House Targaryen is his main (?) house. He builds his entire world around them and their history. At this point we should stop kidding ourselves. Martin adores his problematic weirdos. All of his side books are still about Targaryens (TWOAIF -the lack of House Stark content in this book was really insulting... they were kings for 8000 years ffs-, DUNK & EGG, FIRE AND BLOOD).

Well it's his choice ofc, if he wants to build everything around the villain house then he should do it. But a bad choice... Imagine Tolkien focusing on Melkor and his minions instead of the Children of Iluvatar. He could at least give us their Valyrian era but nah... we had to learn about Westeros through them.

You might say: "But he ended that house and look at House Stark ruling the whole Westeros in the end". And I would say: "So what?". We will never learn more about House Stark's history or FUTURE. We don't even know why "exactly" they became legendary kings in the first place. We don't know how their history shaped the current Starks... Cat and Ned (and other influencer characters they meet during their journeys) shaped our current Starklings... NOT House Stark Legacy.

Ned was raised by Jon Arryn and you see Lord Arryn in his honor and everything (Martin literally refused to give info about Ned's mother because she was irrelevant) and Cat is a Tully lady. We see "so little" House Stark influence in our Starklings. Like "our way is the old way" kind of stuff.

And please compare this how Targaryen ideals had a part in Dany's characterization/story and how we can draw parallels between her and her ancestors (thanks to side books). When I say current Starks are the centre characters but House Targaryen is the centre House, I mean this exactly.

I said that we'll probably never know about House Stark's future and I want to explain in further and it will also give my answer about how lack of Bran and Sansa chapters are going to be a problem in the end.

OK. So we don't know much about House Stark but they (some Stark characters) will end up victorious. "END UP" is the key phrase. There is no way that we'll see a lot about Bran and Sansa's reigns. After 300 years Starks are monarchs again but we still won't know more about their ruling. WHY? Because the lack of Bran and Sansa chapters in the books. With Sansa we can at least imagine her queenship thanks to her KL and Vale education. But Bran was a boy lord of WF for like... "one book" (??) and his story became very mystical and paranormal later thanks to Bloodraven (HEY! Another Targaryen... can you believe?)

And we have (?) to assume that they will become King/Queen in the "end" (I have my own theories about this but right now show is my only canon material). I doubt that Martin will give us an "after 50-100 years epilogue" for us to see Bran/Sansa's influence in the Westeros/North.

If Sansa and Bran are his final monarchs they should have been at their last corner of their journeys by now (again compare it with Dany's bad but still narrated queenship). Sansa should have been in the North long ago and Bran's mystical arc should have ended in the beginning of ADWD. Because Martin can't suddenly start focusing on them in the last TWO books without cutting his other 50+ POVs entirely.

People were SHOCKED when Bran became king because right now his story has nothing to do with being a Westeros King. Will only two books be enough to redirect his story? Sounds unlikely. Martin needs at least 3 books to put everything in order to create a well developed story but we'll only have two.

OR he should have focused on them LONG AGO to remedy this. More Sansa and Bran chapters in the previous books would had been helpful but a little too late.

And especially when I look back at Sansa's chapters I see so many unnecessary drama. Like all of her interactions with Sandor. What did they add to Sansa's story? Sandor couldn't break Sansa's spirit but in the end Sansa shamed him so all of their interactions were about Sandor... not Sansa. They shaped Sandor.. not Sansa.

Martin giving too much attention to Sandor in Arya and Sansa chapters is so annoying. I would rather read Sansa being sad and bitter about her father and Robb abandoning her tbh. It would be a better subject for a young lonely little girl instead of her being molested by some old pervert(s). Like I said... even in her limited number chapters she was misused by the author.

And Bran simply doesn't exist when you compare it with other characters. Everything starts with him but Twincest drama handled without him. He has no part in that or anything that is happening in Westeros right now. And this is our future King of Westeros.

Back to your ask... Sansa will deal with her trauma in subtext like she did(n't) with whole Unkiss thing. And hooooop she will go back to North, deal with LF, rebuild WF and her legacy---- BOOOM!!! War and Others etc. Homegirl has a lot to do. And her healing will have a very little part in her future chapters because author didn't deal with them when he should have in previous books. Instead he threw one trauma after another to crash her more. I guess she'll magically be OK and ready to become a Queen. And yes... she won't end up with any of her abusers. Does anyone still believe that sh*t?!!??!

Like I said, lack of Bran and Sansa chapters will be another part of missing House Stark history. If Starks were truly the heart then Bran STARK and Sansa STARK would had more chapters (between 30-50: Dany has 31 and Tyrion has 49).

Just saying they are the heart/centre doesn't do the job alone. If characters who are not the heart have more chapters than them, this will tell me that focus of story is on them and not on so called heart characters. And this brings me back to my first sentence: Sometimes Martin's "claims" and his writing don't match.

I repeat: Starks might be the heart and in the centre BUT the amount of focus that Martin shows for some Stark characters (Bran and Sansa) is not enough to make them surpass the characters who are not the heart.

So we are talking about an imbalance here. And this is creating a problem. Two main characters aren't getting the attention they need and therefore fandom ignores them... and these two are THE characters that will shape future of the Westeros. They are actually the most important characters but author treats them like they don't matter as much as other main characters (And I know that this was not his intention.. just a mistake in his writing plan). Sad.

Anyway, we'll see how he will deal with Sansa and Bran problem in next books. I hope he'll manage it well.
