Kore's deceptively naive charm that made Mizora want to laugh the first time they met. How delightfully foolish. Although... There was something about Kore that intrigued Mizora, something lurking beneath that infuriating veneer of childlike wonder. It didn’t take long after joining this band of misfit fools for Mizora to uncover why: not quite a tiefling, not entirely mortal — a Bhaalspawn.

Of course, the idea of binding a Child of Bhaal to an infernal contract was almost too delicious to resist. The tragedy, of course, lay in their nature — destined to burn out quickly and miserably, like moths drawn to the flame of their own bloody legacies.

Still, the thought was tempting — snatching Kore for herself, just as the Lord of Murder had been snatching souls from the Hells. The irony was almost too exquisite to ignore, a devil turning the tables on a god. Oh, how deliciously poetic that would be.

The simplest, most reliable path was to win her trust — be agreeable, play the part of an ally. Friendly, even.

“Well,” Mizora purred, her tone laced with mock sincerity, “I do so love to surprise."

She must admit, though, that so far Kore managed to make way less stupid decisions in her leadership than the cambion was expecting, which made this little circus almost tolerable. Almost.

Mizora’s smile turned sly as she placed a hand on her hip, tilting her head just enough to give Kore a once-over. “I could say the same about you, darling,” she drawled, charm and condescension in equal parts. “You’re proving yourself to be a touch less foolish than I initially thought. Not by much, mind you, but progress is progress.”

She let the words hang in the air for a moment before her smile widened, her eyes glinting with amusement. “Do try not to let it go to your head, though. We wouldn’t want you tripping over all that... competence."

Blinking, Kore takes a look down at herself. At the sheer amount of blood splatters that cover herself after another day of goblin slaughter. There's a couple of areas where her clothes are torn too. That's where she inspects a bit closer to make sure any soreness is just that.

"I mean... Mmm... Nope! Not bleeding!" She's rather happy to affirm to the other tiefling. "Looks like none of it is my blood!"

kore was trusting her, and she couldn't fuck this up. it wasn't like they were new to stealing, kriff, they'd been brought up in it. but she'd never done anything really on her own before, so seeing kore across the room, even just the simple look was enough to ease the concern in their chest. they moved through the crowd, having spotted the watch on the senator's wrist, catching kore's eyes again to make sure that was the right one before they acted.

Plastering a smile on her face, Kore's face tilts into the touch, the tip of her tail flicking too. She's far from uncomfortable. If anything, she likes getting close and personal with most bodies. What would it be like to spill his insides? A surprise for another day, perhaps.
