Brief bio of a DJ: PSYCHO THRILL Cologne-founder CLAUS BACHOR is one of the German long-term House and Techno DJs at all, and as friends in Detroit say "he's been doing this as long as anybody else that we know! His sets can range from classic Disco & old school House classics all the way to the darkest, bangin' techno that you've ever heard!" However, he's not standing still yet: The Psycho Thrill club and vinyl label run by him has just turned 27 and Bachor is still doing bookings all over Europe, the United States and beyond. Yet, some of Cologne’s night life strongholds such as LOVERS CLUB/DISCO INFERNO, PIMPERNEL, COCONUT, LE BATEAU or MOROCO have managed to leave stable marks in terms of quality standards regarding Funk, Disco, Electro, Hi-NRG, Proto-House and club hedonism/escapism within the steady quicksand of Cologne’s club history via their protagonists JOE (Coconut 1976-81), CAROL MARTIN (Moroco since 1981) and KLAUS STOCKHAUSEN (Coconut 1981-83 / then FRONT Hamburg), as well as through club icons like the well-known keeper BOGDAN since the mid 70s, and quite a few of the present clubbing generations still feel a lot of admiration for them. As these were slowly absorbed by mainstream’s vortex with new club venues like PICCIONAIA and NEUSCHWANSTEIN in the mid 80s, new alternative quality guardians of pure Soul/Northern Soul and Funk such as SOULFUL SHACK appeared on the scene, one who was tightly connected to the former Cologne SPEX desk, whose editorial core of authors like GERALD HÜNDGEN, OLAF KARNIK, LOTHAR GORRIS, DIRK SCHEURING and RALF NIEMCZYK, as well as the fellow DJs MICHAEL REINBOTH [later Compost, Munich] and MARKUS JÄHNING, set the initiative towards a clearly perceptible program club for the Soulful Shack topic and Hip Hop/House at the beginning of 1988. Can you name any of celebs that you love as much as Noel Fielding?

I can actually. But first of all I want to say one thing - no one can replace Noel for me.

He’s one of the unique persons. If you will like him at least, you’ll never can stop it. He is wonderful person of category “one in the million” Being celebrity, he also letting people know - he is a human as everyone of us. Not every celeb can do it. Also he’s unusually beautiful and he has a soul, and the fans always can see it!

Just ideal man!

About other celebrities. I love many of them, but at least Top 15 after Noel I can name without even explain, just because they are my favorites. So, here is top 15 of celebs that I love no less then Noel!

1. Dave Brown.

Very great man! He’s very talanted and looks very beautiful! And I love his photo works!

2. Alan Davies.

Who would thougt that it can be ever happened? :) I never interested of him before Noel appeared on QI and also one of the reasons - his show As Yet Untitled. On QI He often looks strange, like playing a character. But on his show he just plays himself, and he is actually very deserves to be loved!

3. Jim Lea (also Jimmy Lea).

This is an ex-member of the Glam-Rock band of 70s Slade. He played many instruments and looked very beautiful. Now he plays solo just for self.

4. Noddy Holder.

Ex front-man of of the Glam-Rock band of 70s Slade. Sadly that he left them, but I still respect him! Hilarious, strong and even being aged, he has a very young soul! That’s great!

5. Simon Le Bon.

Duran Duran frontman! One of the best! Before Noel I was Duranie, still loving this super band!

6. Jack Whitehall.

He’s so lovely :) Don’t even know why, just loving him!

7. James Acaster.

Very funny boy, started to respect him after Never Mind The Buzzcocks. He seemed so serious to me until I seen him in different shows. He’s cute ;)

8. Brian Cox.

Started to love him after the shows like QI, Would Lie To You and first of all The Entire Universe! Who said that being professor is so borring? No way! He is quite hilarious professor :)

9. Rhod Gilbert.

Being brutal and rude a bit, he still showed on Never Mind The Buzzcocks that he can be very very nice. Sadly that the show was axed…

10. David Tennant.

Never watched Dr Who (not a fan to be honest) Found out about him on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Beautiful man :)

11. Kevin Richardson (not a lion keepper, he’s alive!)

In my teen years I loved Backstreet Boys. Still didn’t forgot this guy :)

12. Ediie Izzard.

I can’t say that I’m a fan of him, but he deserves a big respect!

13. Phill Jupitus.

I’ll always respect him! He gave to Never Mind The Buzzcocks a long life! It could be closed in 90′s-00′s :(

14. Ricky Wilson.

Always loved Kaiser Chiefs and Ricky is a great person and actually very beautiful! He doesn’t need to have much weight :)

15. Lliana Bird.

I don’t care what other people say about her! She is actually cool and Noel definitely knows it! Yes, they looked cool with Dee, but when she left, Lliana supported him on time! That means she actually loves him and that’s the greatest thing ever!

Playing at our home course this week where conditions were very good. The majority got into the spirit of Christmas by wearing seasonal outfits, the best of whom Gordy’ Rudolf’ Brindley winning a prize for his efforts. Incredibly the 2's pot with 44 players taking part was NOT won, this was in part down to the difficult pin positions on the day, the 2’s pot now rolls over to next week at the same course. Nearest the pins sponsored by The Ale House saw winners, Ronnie McCully x 2, Colin Wilson, Bob Kemp and Kevin ‘9 Fingers’ Bird collecting prizes. It was a day contrasts for our next winners with the player most challenged on the day being Ricky Cowan who scored a measly 11pts, hopefully Ricky will receive a couple of lessons from Santa ! Ricky’s better half Jane who won best Lady and a share of the overall prizes with a brilliant 35pts. Our Guest category saw a couple of new members figuring which is great with Russell Bond 3rd with 28pts, Gareth Davies 2nd with 34 pts and playing close to his handicap of 15 was Mike Greatrex scoring 36pts....well done. On to our Gold and Silver scores ......third in Silver with 31 was the festive Gordy, second Ian Parkinson with 33 and as mentioned before a great win for Jane Cowan with her 35pts. Gold saw some regular podium winners with ‘Dodgy’ Declan Crowley signing off his year third with 31 pts, ex Capitano Mr Lee 2nd with 33pts and top of the Christmas Tree with 38 pts was the in form Russell 'I was smashing it' Bailey with 38 pts....Happy New Christmas handicap Russ!!!! Clint Capela has a Swiss bank account, right?

We have that and more in Thursday’s NBA newsletter.

Clint Capela tops my new list of the top 17 remaining NBA free agents, as his situation has yet to be resolved by the Rockets or tapped into motion via a max offer from any other team. Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Rockets offered Capela a 4-year, $85 million deal with potential bonuses bringing it to $90 million. But apparently Capela wants more like Steven Adams’ four years, $100 million. Seems reasonable.

No team can currently extend an offer that big to Capela without making other moves. Remember, the Kings do have that money that was earmarked for Zach LaVine, but that’s less than what Houston has offered Capela. The Atlanta Hawks have a little more, but don’t seem interested in playing the part of the belligerent third party making huge offers to restricted free agents. Other teams would need to open up space to roll the dice on stealing Capela away at an exorbitant price.

The real risk for Houston here, as I write in my rankings, is that Capela becomes the best player ever to take his qualifying offer in order to become an unrestricted free agent in 2019. If Capela is currently financially secure and willing to bet on health and himself -- and willing to walk away from $85 million guaranteed in hopes of a sliver more -- then he could very well do it. The market should flow much better 12 months from now.

Meanwhile, in the Dub ...

Five of the six best teams in the WNBA are in the Western Conference. Conference imbalance knows no bounds! The good news is that the WNBA has open seeding in the playoffs, so the top eight teams regardless of conference will be seeded Nos. 1-8. Right now, that’d mean five West teams and three East teams.
