My headcanon that I personally believe is 1000% right and that I will never let go of is that sy's biggest tell for not being sj is that he never gets quite used to dealing with the super long hair and elaborate hairstyles so he just fudges it a majority of the time before Binghe starts doing his hair
It was unfortunately covered by the ears but sj's hair is tensely pulled back on all sides of his head to form a tight topknot whereas sy's bun is much looser and unstructured (he woke up and put his brown hair in a messy bun etc) and he clearly didn't comb his hair to make the initial ponytail for the bun extra tight

You know, the funniest thing I can say on Pouf's birthday is that I'm much more open about the fact that I had a fictive of him for at least 2 years
#the man was genuinely integral to my recovery process between the coping through self insert#and him trying to communicate to me while half commandeering my brain#yeah he's a silly little guy but he's so dearly important to me even when I'm not really posting about him#that's why i settled on the tattoo of his wings; no matter what distance from the character i might get#i refuse to deny how he's a good portion of my recovery; of how i see myself in the world; of how i can see my own past#his arc is a lot of my own trauma reflected and exaggerated!! of course i clung to him#and he gave me so much in return.. it's like all the love i gave truly did come back to me#happy birthday pouf. I'm still amazed by you and will always be grateful to you. i love you.#shai speaks#i even named myself in his honor. and even after all this i still kept the name#it felt like a puzzle piece clicking into place when i first chose it and while it doesn't have that same feeling#it's more.. homely in a sense. it's the name my friends use for me. it's so tangled in my perception of and sense of self#that it only feels right to keep it

#;playing://bestmonologueever.mp3 (j)#sorry girl but you can’t keep working and run from your past#you need to talk about this eventually#but yeah I have to agree it’s a nice crossover#J was Never really my most active muse even though I really wanted to use her#and then the finale really spoiled my mood#like I never felt that much disappointment regarding a show before#but it annoyed me so hard that I was like fine#because again - there is no way they gave the virus a better ending than J#that was the most frustrating thing about it#and then you have Doll who just slaughtered her classmates so she can get to V#but J kept getting the shorter end of the stick when she genuinely did not had a choice in the matter#and her death was turned into a stale annoying running gag#so like yeah this au kinda made her active which i think is funny#they butchered this character so hard that I don’t even care writing for Doll and Khan anymore#doll is staying but she won’t be super active#…I still think it’s funny how I expected the possum or platypus but Lofty came with Tangle#mainly every issue J reads where Clutch is in she is like: I like and respect a good business man 👍#she really likes clutch but nah you don’t#you like clutch because he feels familiar and is sort of everything you grew up with#you know what to expect#with the DC you will be depressed like Mimic because you don’t know how to deal with any of that#and it’s unfamiliar and scary#but also kind of what you need

#ramblings#idw sonic spoilers#some highlights#sonic dies (but not really)#tangle gets held at gunpoint#lanolin and whisper cause problems on purpose for eggman#it's no use!#and tangle and whisper with the lesbian flag in the bg#which is real btw it's not an edit like i thought it was it's in the actual issue#oh also shadow does a lot of chaos control and like sends all the fake emeralds to space or something before they explode#and then they have cake the end#good issue but the pacing felt a little off to me#i feel like they could've kept the celebration at the end in the next issue#and used the extra like 2 and a half pages to space things out a little#bc a lot of things happen all at once and it was a bit hard to keep track of#next arc focuses on amy and knux which is exciting! i wanna see how they interact

saw a living oriole irl for the first time today!
#it was a female orchard oriole#i even sucessfully photographed it#at least kinda#definently not my best photo but for a 15 second first time sighting of a small passerine im happy with it#but yeah i had a very fun time watching birds today#there was a common grackle that kept coming back to this wet piece of bread#i couldnt find an angle i liked unfortunately but i got some decent stuff i think#it was interesting tho bc there were quite a few of the species where i was watching#but it was only that one individual that took interest in the bread#i could tell it was the same one bc he had a scar around his neck :(#i wonder if he had gotten tangled in some fishing line at some point and at some point the fishing line was removed#bc none of my photos looked like there was any fishing line around his neck currently#he might have been a rehabbed and released bird#but yeah i really wish the fishers at the park i birdwatch at would bc more careful about leaving their lines out#idk the terminology lol#but they tend to be pretty haphazard about it :(#im kind of worried bc rusty blackbirds frequent the park and theyre a vulnerable species#fortunately theyre only around for winter/early spring so not during the majority of the fishing but still#i try to clean it up when i can#one time there was an american robin caught in a loose fishing line and i was able to get it out#unfortunately i did not have scissors or any other sharp object on me so i wasnt able to do it with much precision#when it was able to fly off it had some fishing line hanging from its feet still which is unfortunate but its better than the alternative#i wanted to run to the store and buy some scissors but i didnt want to leave it unattended in such a vulnerable position for any length...#...of time#but yeah clean up after yourselves when youre out in nature#even if its just an urban/suburban park like that

remembering an old one-off character i had, it was for a Gorillaz rp and basically the other person had this character that was like, half cat right and they were a lab experiment. and they wanted to rp escaping the lab before they actually met the Gorillaz so i just kinda made a character on the spot he was half deer and his name was Turnip and he helped them escape. is that technically my first Gorillaz oc. sorry Barb. or the alien girl idk who was first anymore
#there was a bit where they put him in charge of hooking up the wires... but they kept getting tangled in his antlers...#i think they had to cut pieces off at some point
